Guest & Bridal Accommodation
Boutique Glamping – As a gold-certified Ecotourism Ireland destination, Rock Farm Slane specialises in mixed guest and bridal accommodation. The star attraction is the boutique campsite which can sleep up to 28 people sharing in our luxury Yurts and romantic shepherd huts. Where your numbers are greater we offer luxury furnished bell tents which are pitched around the yurts to give a real festival theme keeping everyone together onsite.
The Limehouse – The Lime House will suit those members of the bridal party who are looking for quiet surroundings away from the celebrations; and/or for the groom’s family to see there boy off before the wedding. Five of the six rooms are en-suite with access to shared living room, lounge and kitchen areas. This property is available for private hire and would serve perfectly as the space for your wedding ceremony.
I just wanted to drop you a note to express our gratitude for everything over the last few months and on our wedding day. We were finding wedding planning pretty stressful even before it became a "covid wedding", and I honestly don't think we could have done it without the kindness, pragmatism and helpfulness of you and your team. We are so grateful for your flexibility and openness as our 85 person wedding became a 15 person wedding. You were always so aligned with and accommodating of the kind of day we were planning and feeling we were trying to achieve, and so incredibly understanding of all our needs, particularly regarding our more health-conscious guests. You made getting to the day so clear and simple, and you made the day itself run so smoothly and beautifully.
I also wanted to particularly mention how wonderful the food was, both the evening before and the day of the wedding. Our families are still telling us how delicious it all was at every opportunity! If I'm honest, I hadn't anticipated how important the food would become given how small the event was - with the rest of the day necessarily toned down for the much smaller group, and given the restrictions of social distancing, having such gorgeous meals really made it all very special for us.
We went into this wanting a laid-back celebration that we could relax during and really enjoy, and that's exactly what we got, thanks in no small part to all your hard work. Particular highlights for us were having a quiet moment looking up at the stars in the outdoor hot tub the evening before the big day, the spectacular views and beautiful trees from the glamping area to look out on the morning of (not to mention during the photos later on), and being able to chat to our families in such a warm and homey space late into the evening as the celebrations wound down. So thank you again for absolutely everything - here's to doing it all again next year! Bryony and Killian (August 2020)
” Dear Carina, Nicola and the rest of the Rock Farm Team, We wanted to say thank you again for being a superb venue for our wedding in August. Our guests were blown away with the unique and beautiful setting and the day ran so smoothly we could really relax and enjoy it.
It was a pleasure to deal with you in the run up to the big day. Your help with the organisation and answering of our many questions was very much appreciated. We hope to visit again some time.” Katie and Tim (August 2015)
“Hi everyone, we’re now back in England after a lovely honeymoon in Kerry. Just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for making our wedding so special. You’ve all been so helpful since the day we made our first enquiry and the day itself exceeded all expectations. Rock Farm looked amazing with the tents and the marquee up and our guests were really blown away by it all.” Isabelle and Michael August (2014)
