Temple Gate Hotel

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Temple Gate Hotel on Dec 11th 2015 and cannot fault anything from start to finish.

Working closely with Geraldine from the start was an absolute pleasure and nothing was a chore for her. Everything was positive with this experience and extremely stress free especially as I was living in England and Anthony in the States. Every question was answered and suggestions given to make everything run smoothly.

Dealing with Una with the rooms was fantastic also and again nothing was a bother to her despite my many emails back and forward. Marie too was extremely helpful and always available.The ladies at reception were a hit with all our guests so thank you Catherine, Una and all involved.

All of our guests commented on the staff at Temple Gate, how professional they were, how welcoming they were and how they were always happy to help in any way. We totally agree! Housekeeping were patient and through despite many late check outs the following day, well done.

The ceremony room and hall looked amazing, especially with the Christmas decorations and we are so glad we chose such a beautiful atmospheric venue for our Christmas wedding. The waiting staff and bar staff worked tirelessly and each and everyone of them were polite, professional and looked happy all night, even until 5am!!

The food was so delicious, hot and amazing, everyone was stuffed to the brim, truly fabulous food, thank you Chef and all your staff.

We highly recommend the Temple Gate Hotel not only as a fantastic wedding venue but also as a venue to explore Ennis and beautiful Co Clare.

We will return again and shall be spreading the word about this gem in the Emerald Isle.

Stayed at Temple Gate for three nights during our wedding. Some family members also stayed and enjoyed the facilities on offer. All staff were excellent but a special mention for Geraldine Minogue, Events and Catering Manager, who made the event so memorable.
Location and layout are excellent. Local amenities are nearby since the Hotel is next to the centre of Ennis. Absolutely nothing was a problem for any of the staff and therefore, I rate the level of attention to detail, very highly. A unique setting that makes the atmosphere very special.
Will stay here again when next in Ireland.

We live in the UK but had stayed at Temple Gate when visiting Ireland and fell in love with it. When we first discussed getting married there we were put in touch with Geraldine Minogue (one of the managers) who listened to what we wanted and made some suggestions for us (local florists, musicians, photographers). With organising a wedding which to us was abroad it was vital to have someone at the hotel for suppliers, guests and us to liaise with. Geraldine was simply brilliant. We kept in touch frequently by email and 'phone. If I had any questions I had a response within hours not days! Most of our guests were flying in from the UK and Holland and the hotel provided a very good package for them (the hotel suggested the package, not us!) All in all we had the best day we possibly could and, in fact, it was far better than we could ever have imagined it could be. We stayed in the bridal suite, lots of room for the bride to get ready on the day and a wonderful place for us to retreat to after the excitement of the big day. Everyone who attended our wedding thought that the hotel did a superb job. We would recommend it and wish we could get married all over again because it was a lovely day made possible by Temple Gate Hotel.

Following our wedding reception at the Temple Gate Hotel on 5th October 2013 we would like to thank you and all the hotel staff for helping to make the occasion a very enjoyable and satisfying experience for us and our guests.
We were very pleased with the assistance offered by you on the lead up to the wedding and for taking on board the comments and requests made by us. We and all of our guests were very complimentary of the quality of the food and wine at the main meal and also the canap?s offered on arrival at the hotel and the food served later in the night. The bar staff and waiting staff were most helpful and polite on the day.
The function room was much admired by us and our guests for its character and uniqueness. The general hotel facilities were also very much liked and praised by many. Thanks again to you all and keep up the good work.
