We got married in October in The Abbey and have absolutely nothing but good things to say about it! Arizbeth was a dream to work with and made the whole process so easy. Everyone on reviews raves about the food and I can confirm they are true the food is amazing so shoutout to 3cooks! Everyone still talking about it. All of the staff who work there on the day are so genuinely nice and really added to the atmosphere. The bridal suite for getting ready is just gorgeous, and plenty of lovely photo opportunities throughout the venue. Can’t write a review without acknowledging their incredible chapel! It was so beautiful for the ceremony and then transformed into our entertainment venue in the evening which guests loved and weren’t expecting - really made it memorable! We got married in October and it was a perfect venue for that time of year, because we were not once worrying about the weather as it was all under one room, and plenty of gorgeous indoor spaces for the day! The outdoor spaces are lovely, but if you had pouring rain you would be equally as content thanks to the fabulous interiors!

We had the best weekend of our lives thanks to the Abbey. The venue is beautiful and unique, staff are amazing and food is out of this world.

Myself and my husband got married at The Abbey in June. Arizbeth and her team were flawless, the day ran so smoothly and they were exceptional in the run up to it answering all queries and putting us at ease. All the staff were so kind, efficient and good craic. The food supplied by 3cooks was exceptional. The suppliers they recommended were brilliant. The decor at The Abbey is stunning, and was really our style from the entrance, the chapel, to the garden parlour, ballroom and chapel bar, all were so unique and gorgeous. All our guests complimented the venue, and how it was such a hidden gem. We can't thank Arizbeth and team enough for making our day so special.

Every element of our wedding at The Abbey was perfect. We couldn't be happier that we chose it as our venue.

Visually, the venue is stunning. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how great it looked. One of our favourite parts of the venue was that we got multiple aesthetics in one place. With the rustic, distressed vibe of the Chapel, paired with the bold, maximalist design elements from the reception area and ball room, it was the best of both worlds. We saved so much money on flowers because we loved the gorgeous on-site arrangements, and we even opted to use the same florist for our bouquets since we loved the flowers at The Abbey so much.

The food was next level. Multiple guests said it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding, especially the vegetarians. One guest said it was the best dessert he'd had in his entire life!

The staff are warm, friendly and incredibly attentive and thoughful. They are complete pros. Arizbeth, Jamie and the whole team were always on top of everything and worked so hard to make sure everything went smoothly, during the planning process and on the day itself.

Our wedding in The Abbey was wonderful in nearly every way. The food was to die for, the setting was beautiful - classy, charming, and elegant. Our guests still mention the food, and I don't think I've tasted a better meal anywhere - never mind at a wedding! Fussy eaters were well-catered for, which was an extra unexpected bonus.

The tasting day before the wedding was an excellent opportunity to see the Abbey alive with people, and we knew that we had made the right choice.

Arizbeth worked tirelessly to make the day special, and the whole team made the day almost seamless. We didn't want the day to end and would do it again tomorrow if we could!

What an incredible venue that went above and beyond to make our day so special. We cannot thank Arizbeth and all the team for by far the best day of our lives. Guests have not stopped talking about the staff, their attentiveness, their professionalism and their warmth when welcoming them. The food was incredible. It is definitely one that keeps coming up as a highlight. I would without question highly recommend The Abbey for a wedding. They went above and beyond, and for that we will never forget them.

We got married in the Abbey wedding venue at the beginning of november and from the very first time i viewed the venue i knew it was where i wanted to get married, what stood out for me was how unique the venue was, with having the chapel on site and then the bar in the chapel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bridal suite is amazing, very spacious to get ready in and beautifully designed. The staff were absolutely amazing, very promt when answering emails, very professional and friendly. ARIZBETH and her team couldnt do enough for us. The food was just devine, all our guests mentioned how every course of the meal was delicious and couldnt fault anything.

We got married at The Abbey on 23 09 23 and we literally haven't the words to praise Arizbeth and her team enough. The wedding planning process was so easy thanks to the team, and Arizbeth was amazing.
The wedding day itself was perfect, Arizbeth and her team were so present and kept everything running with such ease. The food was outstanding, and our guests still rave about it.
The venue itself is stunning and the rooms were beautifully turned out.

We had our wedding in September 2023 and I can't explain enough how amazing The Abbey is.
From the minute we walked in we knew that this was going to be our wedding venue. From the very first viewing we instantly fell in love with the beautiful building, the amazing decor, the wow factor of the chapel and the amazing team who run The Abbey.

Arizbeth & her team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Always there to answer any questions and made the whole planning experience as stress free as possible.
She really knew how to take any stress away and was so so helpful the whole time. Not only is she an amazing wedding coordinator she is a lovely person as well and an absolute credit to The Abbey.
We could not fault our day from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Unfortunately on the morning of my wedding my wedding singer did not show up and thanks to Arizbeth she quickly organised for music to be played through their own sound system. I'm so grateful for that as I don't know what I would have done otherwise. She kept me calm and saved the ceremony ??
The food is still being talked about months after our wedding! 3Cooks who look after the food in The Abbey are absolutely out of this world and the food was top class on the day. I'm still dreaming about our meal we had that day! I just hope I get invited to a wedding in The Abbey in the future so I can experience it all again ????
Every corner of The Abbey is beautiful. The chapel is out of this world and was one of the deciding factors for us picking here. I have never seen a more beautiful chapel. The reception room is divine - the rich colours on the walls and chandeliers give it that touch of class and elegance. Our photos are just fabulous. We had the best day. We had our wedding at The Abbey on the 2nd September this year and it was absolutely incredible! The venue is stunning, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was 5 star! We couldn't recommend The Abbey enough if you are planning your wedding. All of our guests commented on what an amazing venue it was! Every detail was perfect! The weekend ran so smoothly and we were looked after so so well. Also it was great to have a venue that is private just for your wedding as I found this made the day extra personal. Thank you to Arizbeth and all of the staff for everything. We are so grateful!

We got married in the Abbey last weekend - and had a pre wedding meal with close family and friends the night before. From our first viewing of the Abbey right until we closed the door behind us, Arizabeth and her team could not have done more for us. Nothing was ever to much for them and they were happy to oblige all of my requests. They were attentive and welcoming to each of our guests and made us all feel at home. The venue itself it's spectacular. Lavish decor and a stunning juxtaposition between the old and new meant every corner had something to see - our photos are pretty fab!! The rooms are bright and airy and everyone commented on how comfortable they were. The food by 3 cooks is second to none - all of our guests are still commenting on it - and the guys also went above and beyond to ensure we had exactly the menu we wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend the abbey to anyone.

Stunning!!!... If had to choose just one word, that would be it!... From the beautiful venue to the extremely helpful and friendly staff... And the food was most definitely some of the finest food I have ever had the pleasure to eat... Truly delectable!.. And presentation was first class... You know you are being extremely well looked after when you don't even have to ask for something because the staff are constantly and consistently ensuring the Guests every need are met. It was an absolute joy and pleasure to stay here, I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to highly recommend The Abbey as a first class venue... You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic venue, fabulous food, excellent service, would highly recommend as a wedding or event venue.

There's only one word to use about The Abbey. AMAZING the staff are just brilliant from the second we arrived to the minute we left nothing was a problem for them. As chief Bridesmaid I was checking on everything but I didn't have to worry because it was all taken care of.
The wedding was amazing and the food was so good. Blane the barman knew my order after the first drink so every time I went the bar the Guinness was on.. if you are ever getting married this is the place to go.. 100% amazing staff,food everything you would want or need under one roof...

Couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Arizbeth and the team were so helpful and helped make the day so special. From start to finish it was all so relaxed and everything went so seamlessly

We got married in the Abbey in July 2023. We spent 2 days at the Abbey with a dinner the day before the wedding and from start to finish the experience was completely outstanding. Arizbeth and the team were fantastic to deal with for the entire lead up and organising and then for the actual event.
Some standouts;
(i) the bridal suite for getting ready is amazing; we felt so relaxed which was helped by not being on top of each other and having food delivered (twice - we had snacks and mimosas ordered at 12 but they also impromptu brought us up some breakfast since we couldn't go down for it)
(ii) the food the day before and the wedding meal was so delicious; everyone raved about the food. Also catered exceptionally well to vegetarians and vegans; I had the vegan meal myself and it was honestly the best curry I've ever had.
(iii) the Chapel on site is absolutely stunning and so convenient for everyone; to have the chapel, bar area, and ball room so close was great to keep the day moving and the guests happy; and also the ability to have most guests stay on-site - and to have exclusive use of the whole place made us all feel so comfortable and special
(iv) Bedrooms - the bedrooms are really lovely; comfortable and calming. I like that there aren't TVs especially in the honeymoon suite; we barely looked at screens the whole weekend - just listened to each other and our guests and music, really kept everyone in the moment.
(v) the staff - could not possibly say enough good things about the staff. They were so lovely and obliging the whole weekend. There were 2 ladies in particular who were out on their own - I think I remember one name was Jamie and I unfortunately can't recall the other girls name! But all of the staff were amazing.
(vi) the experience that Arizbeth and the staff so obviously have gives the day a really calm vibe because you just know they're in total control and know what they're doing. Even simple things like we did an informal receiving line as the guests came out of the chapel into the reception and as soon as we greeted the last guests we were subtly led into one of the side rooms where they brought us a plate of canapés and left us for a breather. One of the highlights of the day - and nice to get some food, would have been easy to not get fed as the couple because you're pulled so many directions.

I could keep going but the point is, you will not be disappointed if you book the Abbey. I wouldn't change a single minute of our experience; thank you so much to everyone. 10/10

The weekend of our wedding was amazing, the food, the staff. There was a slight delay in some our guests getting their main courses, which was partly down to the number of guests. The process for booking guest accomodation could be made easier. Overall the Abbey is a beautiful venue with wonderful staff and amazing food. Thanks to Arizbeth and the team for a wonderful weekend that we won't forget.

The Abbey went above and beyond in our expectations. We and all our guests agreed that the venue was exceptional. The setting for the ceremony was beautiful and it made an amazing venue for our band and DJ later in the day. The food was also exceptional quality and service at dinner from the staff and indeed throughout the day was superb. Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful and attentive and made the day go as well as we could have ever hoped for.

We celebrated our big day at The Abbey and it was perfect! Arizbeth is so easy to work with and super accommodating to make sure everything will be perfect! We couldn't be happier to have chosen the Abbey as our wedding venue, our guests were in love with it, the staff is so kind and nothing is too much for them. Our guests can't stop talking about the amazing food. The Best man is a chef and even he said that the food was better than some of the 5 star restaurants!
We weren't sure if the food for the next day will be enough but omg sure it was and delicious again!

Amazing day from start to finish

We recently had our wedding at The Abbey and had the most amazing day.
The venue itself is stunning and the bold colour choice on the walls lead to some exceptional photos. The chapel which can double as the room for the after party was the biggest icing on the cake for us, it is beyond beautiful and was the talk of the event.

Arizbeth and the staff were impeccable both the night before and the day itself, everything went off without a hitch. We had so much fun with the staff with a special mention to a lady named Jamie who was so professional but I also had many a laugh with throughout the day.

The timing bringing the food to the tables was so good it was almost a military presentation which was so impressive to watch. The food itself was beautiful and could not have been faulted. We chose Beef & Fish as an option which wouldn't normally be the most popular ( usually chicken) but the Sea bass was just so nice that even my 10yr old niece had it over the kids option.

We didn't have to worry about any vendors or anything on the day, most of whom had been to the venue before but Arizbeth and the rest of the crew had everyone well looked after and informed on where they were setting up.

There is one or two things which can improve the overall experience but definitely wouldn't stop me from recommending the venue to anyone.

The general response time to e-mails and query's can be a little slow. After having our wedding I could probably put this down to how involved everyone is on a wedding day to make sure it is going perfectly but there was sometimes a week or so passing before a response was received so they could definitely benefit from having a dedicated person for general queries.

No cancellation policy on the rooms - As payment is taken up front this was a big deal for a lot of our guests. I think since you pay to rent the venue exclusively there should be a minimum of a 48h cancellation policy as these rooms cannot be resold to the general public. It got quite messy when a guest couldn't make it we had to try and find another guest who had not booked yet and give the hotel their name instead and get them to pay us to pass back to the person who cancelled.

We were offered a cancellation with a refund less an administration fee if the guest provided a doctors note for being sick etc but we felt that was a bit much and a general cancellation wasn't accepted. I think the introduction of a cancellation policy would greatly improve the situation as it put a bit of stress and onus on us as a couple to try and figure ways around it.

I want to say the above is certainly not a complaint just some areas we felt that some slight improvements could make a big difference. Over all we had a fantastic pre wedding night and wedding day at the venue and want to thank Arizbeth and everyone for making our day so special.

When we found the Abbey we absolutely fell in love. It ticks so many boxes - an exclusive use venue, one of a kind architecture and interior design, an absolutely delicious menu, easily accessible by car and public transport yet tucked away in its own private enclave, even a chapel with its own bar that doubles up as a dance floor at night! It's clear that they've lovingly and faithfully restored this former Abbey to its glory days whilst giving it a contemporary twist with a feel of luxury. On the day, we were blown away by the entire team's attention to detail, attentiveness, friendliness, and warmth, something that was remarked upon by so many of our guests. Cannot recommend this venue enough!

We loved the Abbey as a venue for our wedding. It was so personal. Everything centered around us and it was brilliant having the whole venue for just our guests. The food was incredible and exceeded our expectations. The whole team went above and beyond, and there were lovely extra touches thoughout the weekend. If we were to do it all again it would 100% be in the Abbey and would recommend in a heartbeat.

We had our wedding at The Abbey on the 13th May and the day honestly could not have gone better. The venue is so beautiful, particularly the stunning chapel and we were delighted to have our ceremony in such a gorgeous setting. The courtyard and garden parlour were just ideal for the drinks reception where our guests could mingle together easily and the canapes were a massive hit with everybody. Dinner was absolutely delicious, all of our guests raved about the food, and the staff were incredibly attentive and responsive. Guest bedrooms are also fabulous, clean and modern and breakfast in the dining room was good too. Arizbeth and the wedding team were a huge help during the planning of the day, they couldn't do enough for us and last minute changes were handled smoothly and professionally. Thank you so much to everybody at The Abbey for making our day perfect!

Our wedding in the Abbey was purely a dream come true. From beginning to end it was a smooth and flawless process. The venue itself was wonderful! But the service was very well thought of too. The wedding team was very accommodating and helpful with our needs and requests and we couldn't have asked for any more than this. Each and everyone went out of their way to create the wedding day we had in mind. We could not have envisaged in our wildest dreams how perfect our wedding day was. The venue was spectacular and ticked every box. The beautifully designed spaces offered us every opportunity to create our own bit of magic. From the chapel, to the garden room and last but not least the ballroom - every room was was just idyllic. We made use of all the event spaces and loved the element of surprise as our guests moved throughout the venue on the day.

We viewed the Abbey during summer 2021. At the time it was undergoing its final stage of refurbishments. We knew straight away this was going to be our wedding venue! The stylish furniture, the chapel bar, parquet flooring? the list goes on. Every detail was just perfect. From the minute we arrived at the venue, the team led by Dermot and Arizbeth were amazing, so helpful, accommodating, personable and friendly. In particular their efficient and productive communications made the planning so seamless. They were that good that we didn't even know they were there on the day!

The Abbey and all their team have created memories which we will cherish for the rest of our life.

After 20years together we decided in July to tie the knot and we really didnt want to delay in our planning so when we went to visit the abbey in August,we knew instantly that it was the venue for us and we didn't look any further. What really sold it for us was the restored chapel, we wanted a venue that catered for our service and reception, allowing for an easy flowing day,with no racing from a to b. The chapel ticked all the boxes and filled with loads of character with its beautifully restored stained glass windows and floor tiles but of course the cherry on cake for my husband was the bar that is tucked in around the corner from the alter. It really was a hidden treat for our guests as we had our service here and then later returned after our meal to dance the night away, making it the perfect multifunctional space.

Aoife was our wedding co-ordinator and honestly you won't meet a more warm and helpful lady. There was nothing we asked for that was an issue and on the day of the wedding their attention to detail was second to none.

Being a new venue I was a little concerned not having had any reviews about the service and food, there was certainly no need to be worried.The food was melt in your mouth especially the slow cooked short rib beef,our guests are still raving about it. There was plenty of staff to look after our guests, again they were genuinely so attentive, polite and well presented.

The Abbey is truly unique, it will always have a special place in our hearts as we couldnt of asked for a more perfect day for our wedding. With out a doubt we would highly recommend to anyone to hold their wedding there,as you and guests will be charmed by it just like we were.

We booked The Abbey after being let down by another venue and we are delighted that we did, it was one of the best decisions that we have ever made. As this is an exclusive wedding and events venue, the attention is fully focused on tailoring the day to your every need. Arizabeth, Dermot and Aoife are a joy to deal with and go above and beyond. The venue itself is unique and all of our guests were completely blown away by its beauty and history (Aoife knows her stuff!). We could not recommend them enough and wish we could have our day all over again. Thank you.

I definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a wedding. They made us feel so special during all the appointments and the big day. Arizbeth is amazing. From the beginning, she worked with us to make the day as perfect as it could be and took care that everything was running smoothly on the big day.
