The Ballrooms
Capturing the elegance of the enchanting surroundings, the opulent Harbour Ballroom with its graceful chandeliers and panoramic views of Lough Corrib and Kinlough Woods is guaranteed to enhance the magic of your special day. Available for receptions of up to 186 guests and up to 250 guests with the addition of a marquee, The Harbour Ballroom also has a private bar and reception area and the option of outdoor seating. The room features drop-down screens for videos, photography and messages. Your own selection of music for your wedding day can be played through the built-in surround sound system in the room.
For more intimate celebrations, The Junior Harbour Ballroom is also available for up to 30 guests and features its own private bar and an outdoor patio area for a drinks reception.
As an added bonus should you choose to have your wedding at The Lodge at Ashford Castle, we offer an overnight stay along with your menu tasting, and a complimentary Bridal Suite the night of your Wedding. On the day of your wedding, Tables will be dressed with crisp white linen and our florist will provide seasonal fresh flowers as centrepieces.

With a variety of spaces, we can cater for small intimate ceremonies or larger celebrations 7 days a week. With both breathtaking outdoor and indoor spaces available. We will be happy to advise and assist with your wedding ceremony, so please contact us for more details.
Exclusive Use
The Lodge at Ashford Castle can be entirely yours for your special day and customised in any way you wish... the ideal option for creating a completely bespoke celebration surrounded by friends and loved ones.
There is also the option to extend the wedding party by hosting a post-wedding celebration such as a BBQ or buffet for guests continuing their stay at The Lodge.
Accommodation
The Lodge at Ashford Castle offers 26 Deluxe Rooms, 12 Superior Deluxe Rooms, 12 Duplex Suites, 8 Quay Suites and 6 Lake View Suites, each of which is individually designed, beautifully furnished, generously proportioned and equipped with the latest technology for your utmost comfort. Enjoy rich deep pile carpets, super king beds with goose down duvets and pillows, chic modern furniture and the latest flat screen technology. All bathrooms have under floor heating, extra soft towels and luxury toiletries.
Bridal Suites
The Lake View Suites are the most magnificent rooms at The Lodge, offering sweeping views of Lough Corrib, many with a private terrace or balcony. Some rooms also feature gas fireplaces and in-room baths, that become your own special bridal suite.

Our wedding day at the Lodge was truly the best day of our lives, and we honestly couldn't have asked for anything better. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable.
Cora, Eva, and AJ were absolutely excellent. Their attention to detail was superb, ensuring that every aspect of our special day was perfect. It was clear from the outset that we were in safe hands, and their expertise and dedication made all the difference.
The day was everything we could have wanted and more. The team organised all our suppliers brilliantly and laid out all my decor in an amazing way, the whole place looked beautiful! Their eye for detail and ability to execute our vision flawlessly was remarkable. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food, claiming it was some of the best wedding food they had ever tasted. The service was excellent, and AJ ran the schedule like clockwork. No request was too big for him on the day. Even when we had a last minute decision to do the first dance outside!

We got married at the Lodge at Ashford Castle this summer and we couldn't recommend it more. Cora, Catarina and the entire team at the Lodge were superb to deal with and their attention to detail was incredible. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding and day two at the Lodge and it was just perfect and everything we wanted. Our guests commented that the venue was beautiful, the setting was stunning, the food was amazing and the service was second to none. Knowing that our guests had the great experience we did meant so much. We cannot wait to return to the Lodge and couldn't be happier with how our wedding went.

The Staff at the Lodge, in particular wedding co-ordinators Cora & Eve and Aj are absolutely incredible at their jobs.
There was nothing I could fault about the day or in the months of preparations coming up to the day. There was no job to big or too small that they didn't put 100% effort into.
The food was out of this world. I seen nothing but empty plates at the end of dinner.
I honestly couldn't recommend The Lodge enough for providing us with the best day of our lives and will be forever grateful for everything they have done for us. If I could give them more stars I would.

We booked our wedding earlier this year at Ashford Lodge. Unfortunately we had also bought a property in Ireland which consumed just about all our money. Cora gave us extra time to pay which meant we could continue with our wedding plans
We only had a very small wedding , just the two of us, 2 witnesses & our 2 jack Russell’s, Brody & Billie. We were treated as if we had the biggest & most expensive wedding you could imagine. Every single detail was polished, we were made to feel incredibly special, even down to Cora organising a beautiful setting not only for our ceremony but also our evening meal ….. everything was just perfect. We were given the opportunity to have pictures around the Castle & was driven & waited for by Driver. There are 450 staff at Ashford & I think every single person knew it was our wedding day. Ashford is a fairytale venue & for us, affordable. It was our second visit & it felt like we were coming home. To the Gentleman in the gatehouse who greets you to the house keepers, everyone strive to make sure your stay is unforgettable, you feel like royalty. I cannot recommend Ashford highly enough & we will be back next year for our wedding anniversary if not before.

I could not recommend the lodge enough. We had our wedding in September and had the best day. It was an intimate wedding with just close family and friends but felt just perfect. We were so lucky to have our ceremony outside overlooking the beautiful lake.

We got married at Ashford in August and I can't recommend Ashford Lodge and their team enough. We worked closely with Cora and not only was she great with the planning prep but the day of the wedding she made sure that nothing went wrong. The guests loved her as well! The food was fantastic and everything was extremely well organized. I would do it all again with the team at Ashford Lodge.

Myself and my husband got married this year, June 2024, and were fortunate enough to be able to have our wedding ceremony outside. It is safe to say that our guests were literally stunned by the venue, similar to when we ourselves first visited, we too fell in love with every single thing about this venue. The views from the doorstep of The Lodge are jaw droppingly beautiful, with lough corrib/mask just a few hundred metres ahead and beneath you. Beautiful mountains can be seen in the distance and boats in the lake nearby. It is easily the most romantic outdoor setting in Ireland. To get photos overlooking this view on your wedding day is enough on its own to motivate you to book this perfect place. But this is only the beginning.

We got married at Ashford Lodge in June 2024. Cora and the team made our dreams and vision come to life. We would not change even a tiny detail. Aside from the stunning setting and delicious food, the team were so attentive, diligent and adept. We didn't have to worry about a single thing on the day - all our worries and stresses were completely alleviated. The attention to detail and proficiency of the staff was a huge talking point among our guests.
During the run up to the wedding, Cora & Eva were extremely responsive and always provided sound guidance and tips for the big day. This of course put us at complete ease.
Cora also made sure we were all set the morning of the wedding . She went above and beyond. She was constantly checking in to see if we needed anything when we were getting ready - she even came to the rescue when a bridesmaid had a slight wardrobe malfunction!

During the run up to the wedding, Cora & Eva were extremely responsive and always provided sound guidance and tips for the big day. This of course put us at complete ease.
Cora also made sure we were all set the morning of the wedding . She went above and beyond. She was constantly checking in to see if we needed anything when we were getting ready - she even came to the rescue when a bridesmaid had a slight wardrobe malfunction!

I cannot rate The Lodge at Ashford Castle highly enough. From start to finish, the whole team were amazing. The staff were so friendly from check in to check out. The whole day went perfectly. Everyone went the extra mile to ensure our day was perfect. With hectic work schedules and travelling frequently, Eva was fantastic, answering all our silly questions, coming to check on me while I drank Prosecco nervously before getting ready on the day, letting us know as the florist arrived and coordinating it. She was simply amazing. Our wedding was small, but the amount of guest who said it was the best wedding they have ever been to is amazing. My wife and I would recommend to anyone planning a wedding to choose here. We will continue to visit and the memory will always be there.

Cora, Eva and the rest of the team were fantastic. They were so accommodating of any requests, and they were able to advise us where needed. They made the planning very easy. The ballroom was the perfect size room for the amount of guests we had (145) and the whole place looked even better than usual with the fabulous Christmas decorations. We really appreciated the extra touches in our room, both on the night we had our tasting and the day itself. We actually booked to stay an extra night and that was no problem at all.
The guests who stayed over raved about the comfortable beds and the breakfast, they even got lovely weather the next morning for a walk around the grounds. All of our guests were delighted with the meal and the timings all went to plan. When we were talking to our guests the following morning so many of them mentioned how helpful and friendly the staff were. I was delighted as a local that The Lodge left such a positive impression on all of our visiting guests. We would definitely recommend choosing The Lodge at Ashford as your wedding venue.

My husband and I just had our dream Christmas wedding at the Lodge in Dec 2023. Somehow they managed to make it even more magical that we could ever have imagined. The team are amazing and I cannot thank them all enough, particularly a special thanks to Cora and Tristan. I wish we could do it all over again!! We had the most fabulous weding from beginning to end. Cora and her team are second to none and really make you feel like part of the family.The food is on another level and the wine pairings are still mentioned to me almost daily by friends and family. anything I threw at them was really no problem and they looked after guests and vendors perfectly. I would honesltly do it all over again with no hesitation. They took so much of the stress out for me. We had the absolute best day! They even helped organize a special fireworks display and sparklers for all the guests. 11/10 everytime! Couldnt recommed it enough. All our guests loved the rooms and the breakfast and the entire estate of this beautiful place. It will always hold a special place in our hearts and still enjoy visiting there.

We got married at The Lodge at Ashford Castle in September and we couldn't recommend this venue more. Catarina and her team were an absolute delight to work with and created the most perfect day. The staff at The Lodge are so unbelievably professional, personable and friendly. Our guests spoke so highly of the atmosphere created by the staff there. The food was just spectacular and the guests couldn't have praised the chef more highly. No small detail went uncovered and the team ensured all our needs were catered for. The groom and his groomsmen were picked up at the nearby harbour in the morning and welcomed with fresh irish coffees while the bridal party had their breakfast brought to the bridal suite, our dog was kept cool and watered ensuring he was comfortable on such a hot day. Our outdoor ceremony was set up beautifully with the most stunning backdrop. The setting and food makes this venue perfect for a wedding but the staff and the atmosphere they create is the cherry on top.

Cora and Catarina could not have been more helpful during our planning process and went out of their way to help us with any requests or questions we had during this time. The little touches that the staff provide really do make the venue/experience stand out from other venues. The lodge is a stunning location for any wedding. It has a romantic/relaxed vibe to it. The staff were so helpful and friendly on the day of the wedding and made everyone feel at home and at ease. The wedding planners Cora and Catarina were very supportive in the lead up to and throughout our special day. Looking back, we wouldn't change anything on our day which is something very special to us. The food and service were incredible and prompt. Bar staff were accommodating and made cocktails to everyone's liking. The rooms are quirky and comfortable, which embodied our special day. The lodge is the perfect wedding venue for any couple.

We had a wonderful wedding celebration at the Lodge in May 2023 and would highly recommend to couples looking for a venue to host their big day. Catarina and the team did an amazing job on the day and gave us all the help and advice we needed in the run-up.
On the day itself we started the wedding outside with a stunning view over the lake and Connemara back-drop. There was a dash indoors when the West of Ireland weather decided to intervene, but the team at the Lodge were quick to set us up to finish the ceremony inside. We still managed to get some great photos on the grounds of Ashford Castle afterwards even with the rain!
The Lodge is a lovely, cosy place with gorgeous reception room and breakout spaces, and an eclectic art mix. Our guests loved the venue. Everyone was raving about the food, with many saying it was the best they'd had at a wedding. The breakfast the next day also didn't disappoint! The service at every point throughout the day was excellent.
The rooms are super comfy with a range of styles/themes, our only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time in our beautiful room, an excuse to come back for a future anniversary!

We were absolutely delighted with every aspect of our wedding day at The Lodge. We live in the UK, but planning was very straightforward with Catarina and Cora's help. From the outset, the information we received was very detailed, clear and helpful. We therefore had every confidence that our day would go exactly to plan - and it did! Getting ready at The Lodge on the morning of the wedding was brilliant - the use of the hair studio was much appreciated as there were 10 of us having our hair done! Throughout the day, all of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and the place looked amazing. Lots of our guests commented to us about how stunning the location was, and how well they were looked after.
We'd like to particularly thank Catarina for all her help in making sure the details were all perfect, and for being very kind and friendly to us. We really appreciated the personal touches such as handwritten cards, chocolate and champagne waiting for us in our room. We'd certainly recommend The Lodge as a wedding venue, and look forward to returning to visit soon!

Stunning views, stunning intimate location. Was always of the belief at wedding the two most important things were ceremony and the reception food. Food nothing short of amazing but we knew it would having stayed there on a few occasions. Corra & Catarina we?re brilliant coordinators and gave us some great advice and responding to emails and answering many questions. Would go as far as giving hotel and staff 100/100 and would stand over recommendation to any other couples.

The Lodge, and particularly Cora and Anna couldn't have done enough for us. It really felt like home to us the weekend of our wedding, and every single thing was impeccable, from the food to the staff to the rooms to the weather! Every single guest commented on how wonderful the food was and how friendly and helpful the staff are. We couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else in the world and we were so lucky to have the Lodge so close to us that we can visit again and again!

From the moment we arrived at The Lodge to consider it as a wedding venue we were hooked, the amazing location and scenery through to the hospitality of every member of staff and of course the amazing food. The venue and location is certainly weatherproof. From that first interaction through to our wedding day there is nothing we can fault. We live in England so it wasn't easy to just pop in which is where Cora and Catarina really came into their own. Proactive engagement, timely responses to emails and zoom calls as we got close gave us a real sense of ease that the day would be as we hoped. As family and friends travelled from distant locations we stayed at the Lodge for several nights and every guest was wax lyrical about every member of staff. We took the hotel exclusively on the wedding day and felt that was absolute worth the additional cost. The ballroom really is stunning. Lastly, breakfast was a real hit as are amazing. Thank you.

Can't say enough good things about Cora, Catarina, Rory and the entire team at The Lodge, Ashford. From our first enquiry, they were extremely helpful, happy to answer our questions and gave us a really good overview of the options available inc. sample prices. We included activities in our wedding, a cruise on the Corrib and Archery, and the team were able to facilitate it all, working with our timings and even transporting guests from the hotel to the events. They provided us with a list of recommended vendors and local suppliers, which we used and they were all excellent. They knew the venue and the hotel team, so were able to help us plan our day and were invaluable to us in the lead up to our wedding. The team and their suppliers are professional, knowledgeable and approachable and nothing was too much trouble for them in planning or on the day itself. The quality and standard of service is fantastic and is evidenced across all aspects of the hotel - staff, food, accommodation, facilities. They were/are brilliant!

I couldn't recommend The Lodge at Ashford Castle highly enough for any couple to celebrate their wedding. The service and professionalism my now husband and I received from our initial inquiry to our wedding day was exceptional.
Our wedding coordinator Cora was so helpful, approachable, efficient and also dealt with our last minute requests promptly and professionally. She made us feel so at ease which was really important to us and her attention to detail was exceptional. The day of our wedding was unusually warm for September so Cora suggested we could have the ceremony outside overlooking the lake which was simply stunning. We couldn't have dreamt of a more perfect setting. It was truly breathtaking.
The lodge itself is so unique with vibrant decor and quirky art pieces, with each guest room individually designed. The grounds are beautifully kept and fabulous for pictures but above all the staff are remarkable. Even our wedding guests had commented on friendly and professional they were with many of them returning for an overnight stay.
I had looked a couple of more places before the lodge but it really couldn't be matched. The Lodge is a beautifully secluded location with stunning views of Lough Corrib and the Ashford Castle estate. The staff were extremely professional and could not have been more helpful and accommodating throughout the process of planning the wedding and on the day itself. The food was superb, with multiple delicious choices available for all kinds of dietary requirements.We were offered a very reasonable nightly rate for wedding guests and overall the value for money was excellent, given that the staff, the rooms and facilities were of the highest quality. The day after the wedding, we were able to bring our guests on a boat ride of Lough Corrib, another memorable experience. Overall, we were delighted with The Lodge and would not hesitate in recommending it to other couples for their special day

Highly recommed The Lodge @Ashford as a wedding venue.it was a special place for us as we have for years spent many sundays out here for lunch etc so it was always our 1st choice and it did not dissapoint.hard not to love everything about it

The team at the Lodge at Ashford Castle were amazing, we had to plan the wedding 3 times in order for it to finally happen. Cora was amazing through it all. She kept us up to date, stayed in contact with us, made having to have the date changed so many times not so painful. From the moment of the brides night before, the morning of getting ready, getting to the church (they made sure the bride was on time and not traditionally late), to the wonderful meal. The wedding is still talked about. We think the best way to explain it is when all the guests that came say "can we do it again next year" really speaks for itself. Thank you for making it so memorable. A moment in time we will never forget.

Words cannot describe how amazing our wedding at the Lodge at Ashford was. It was the most magical day from start to finish. All of our guest commented on how amazing the food was, and how great the service was. As for the location, the grounds of the Lodge are something truly special. Nothing beats that view of Lough Corrib. Our wedding photos are amazing!! The staff were just amazing, both in the months and weeks leading up to our wedding, and on the day itself. A special shout out to Cora and Caterina who were both so accommodating in the weeks and months leading up to the big day, particularly when we had to postpone due to Covid. The girls were always available to take any calls we had, and they completely took the stress out of wedding planning. We also have to thank Peter and Warren who made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. There wasn't even one hiccup. We honestly cannot thank the staff at the Lodge enough for looking after our guests and making sure our wedding day was one that we will cherish forever.

Our wedding at the Lodge at Ashford Castle exceeded all expectations, the natural beauty of the Lodge and its modern country charm made it the perfect location to get married and what added to this was the impeccable staff who made our day so special - tailoring the day to us.
From the start of our stay and the guests arrival, no request was too much. The welcoming atmosphere that has been created, enabled us to have a relaxed wedding knowing that all was taken care of by the team.

The Lodge was our dream wedding venue from start to finish. It was a pleasure to deal with every single one of the hotel staff - from Cora and Caterina, to the amazing Warren who co-ordinated the meal to perfection, to the bar staff... every person was so professional and helpful, nothing was a problem. Despite getting married on what must have been the wettest and worst day of 2022, everything went so smoothly and everyone enjoyed themselves. The second day was just as good, the BBQ food was the best we've ever had! 10/10 all round.

There are not enough stars to give. The kindness compassion and exceptional customer service is above and beyond. Having to navigate the three failed wedding attempts due to COVID restrictions Cora and Catarina could not help enough to alleviate any stress. The day itself ran like a dream the food was outstanding and one of the reasons why we chose the Lodge. The transition of the room from ceremony to evening was seamless. We stayed an extra night to enjoy Wilde's restaurant as its a favourite of ours. Guests loved the guest rooms for space and design and off course the food. We could not have asked for a better day full of beautiful memories in a perfect nook in the west of Ireland.

From the outset, Peter, Cora & the full team at The Lodge were outstanding to deal with, they made us feel right at home and at ease from the start. Our wedding was impacted by Covid 19 and we ended up postponing 3 times and the team at The Lodge made each postponement so easy and effortless. No request was too much and they kept us informed and up to date the whole way our wedding planning. Cora & Peter looked after us as if we were old friends and not guests, our wedding was truly magical from the beginning to the end. All of the employees at The Lodge made our guests feel so welcome on the day and also the day after, departure was saying goodbye to friends and we cannot wait to return again.

Myself and Jamie just wanted to say thank you so much for our absolutely incredible wedding experience. Neither of us would change once single detail from the day and so much of that is down to your incredible team.
We've never been to an event or hotel stay where the staff have been so incredibly attentive and genuinely caring. This alone would be 5 pages long if I was to name everyone because it really was EVERYONE who made our experience what it was. Warren couldn't have been a better sport with my Dad and was the most wonderful MC. Andrew understood our vision in a way I never thought anyone else would. And Anna's amazing quick thinking when our celebrant was delayed by a bog fire completely grounded me in a way I never thought I'd be before my wedding ceremony.
From day one Catarina went above and beyond for me. No question or favour was ever too much and her communication skills are some of the best I've ever come across. I reached out at a time where we had one cancelled wedding after such a horrible experience with another planner. She gave me the comfort and reassurance that wasn't her job to give but did it none the less. She really is one of a kind and the only reason I'd ever want to have another wedding just to work with her again. I'll never be able to put into words how grateful and thankful I am to her.

We had a beautiful wedding at Ashford, the accommodation, food and service were excellent. All our guests commented on how nice it was to stay at the Lodge and the high standard of all the meals and warm welcome of staff.

We honestly could not have asked for more from The Lodge for our wedding. From booking right through to the day, they were accommodating, flexible and couldn't do enough for us.
We wish we could do it again and would certainly pick The Lodge 100 times over!

Well the dust has settled and the honeymoon's over and all we are left with are memories. Thankfully they are all good ones and that's down to you and the team at The Lodge. Our initial decision to have our wedding at The Lodge was fairly random but it turned out to be inspired. The setting was of course magnificent but the abiding memory will be the warmth and hospitality we felt from everyone we came across. It seemed like anything we asked for was never too much trouble and much of that is because of you. I should also mention Jonathan who delivered a memorable meal after the wedding. Between you and me I'm unsure whether the wedding ceremony or the turbot on the bone was my ultimate highlight of the trip ! I should also ask you to pass on our appreciation to Thomas at The Castle who supervised our afternoon tea experience with a style that defined great customer service. We could not have been happier with the venue. The staff were fantastic, they made us feel so welcome and no request was too big! Our food was perfect and the grounds were ideal for autumnal pictures. Everything went so smoothly on the day and we had the best time. I wish I could do it over again! We had to reschedule our wedding last minute due to the bride and family getting Covid, I can honestly say there was no stress when it came to doing this. The Lodge we so helpful we had everything rescheduled in a few hours and all we had to focus on was recovering in time for the new date. Catarina, Cora, Warren and Allen are a dream to work with!

I cannot even begin to describe how AMAZING and welcoming the Lodge at Ashford is!! We had our wedding there last Friday and we had been in regular communication with the nicest, most helpful staff - Cora and Katarina!! They went above and beyond for us as did the rest of the staff! My husband and I were treated like royalty but so were our guests! Everyone spoke so highly of the staff, the rooms, the hotel, the food and the service!! The staff at the Lodge are so well trained and so clued in to the needs of their guests! They would do anything to make your stay a happy stay and ours definitely was!! We stayed in the Lodge before our wedding as well and the rooms were out of this world! The toiletries, the tea/coffee facilities and the room decor is simply beautiful! The food at the Lodge is top class food and our guests said it was some of the best meals they had ever eaten! I have never had hotel breakfast like it before!!! The Lodge has beautiful surroundings, lovely walks through Ashford and only a stones throw to the lovely village of Cong. We stayed in another hotel after our wedding as part of a mini moon but we were so disappointed. The Lodge definitely left us with high expectations and it cannot compete with other hotels as everything about this hotel is exceptional!! We will definitely be regular guests!! So thank you to all of the staff at the Lodge!!

We cannot speak highly enough of the team at The Lodge at Ashford. We planned our wedding from the UK during the Pandemic which was a challenge, however Cora & Catrina were always on hand to lend a helping hand, offer advice and answer questions.
From the day we checked into the hotel, the staff pulled out all the stops, making not only us but our guests feel so special and welcomed! A special shout out to the food as it was incredible and plentiful! Warren did a fab job hosting both our food tasting and comparing the event itself. Please do not hesitate a second to book your wedding at the Lodge. It was a dream come true. A fairytale from begging to end. Our guests were treated like royalty from the moment they arrived which was so special. The service is second to none, the food was simply devine and absolutely everyone had the best weekend. What a way to step into married life! As for cora and all of the wedding team- they are so well experienced and guided us through everything. I was a pretty hands off bride and felt a bit overwhelming with the planning but cora really helped ease all my fears and narrow down what was important. She nailed it. I've been to a good few weddings and I may be slightly biased but this is hands down my favourite venue it's so beautiful no matter what the weather is. Your guests will really never forget the beautiful setting at the lodge and it makes for beautiful pictures. Do yourself a favour and get married here.

From our very first meet up with Cora and Peter we knew The Lodge was the wedding venue for us. The kindness, flexibility, and comfort they provided us all throughout our wedding planning and when the pandemic hit was second to none. Every time we popped down the Lodge for a walk around and a coffee in the lead up to our wedding we were greeted with a friendly smile and a sense of ?welcome home? from Peter, Andrew, Cora and the team. We also had a wonderful night in The Lodge for our food tasting where we were treated exceptionally, adding to the excitement we already had for our big day. We cannot wait to stay there again for our anniversary. The team went above and beyond for us, our wedding guests are still raving about the exceptional service, food, and staff.
We cannot recommend the Lodge enough for a wedding, with the stunning views of Lough Corrib, intimate venue, exceptional food, and wonderful staff it truly is a magical place for a wedding.

Following our Engagement in Ashford Castle we knew that the Lodge was the only choice for our wedding reception. The venue, location, charm and service are second to none and we could not have been happier with the attention, professionalism and experience received from Cora, Anna and all the exceptional staff in the Lodge. The are all experts in their field and truly made our vision and dreams come to life. Jonathan's food was outstanding, our guests are still talking about it. We got married in August 2021 during the COVID 19 pandemic. Despite the uncertainty surrounding weddings and restrictions we could not have chosen a more accommodating and outstanding venue during this time.
The wedding coordinators were extremely supportive and helpful.
The Lodge at Ashford was our venue from the beginning as it was impossible to go beyond it- the breathtaking views, intimate venue, outstanding food and the warmth from the amazing staff.

Getting married at The Lodge Ashford Castle was an absolute dream come true! We are from the U.S. and had previously stayed at Ashford Castle while on vacation. We fell in love with the grounds and when we got engaged, we decided on getting married in Ireland. We thought the value of getting married at the Lodge was ideal for our budget. The quality of service received on the days leading up to our wedding and the flexibility given considering we had to cancel twice due to COVID was incredibly considerable of them. Our family and friends were in awe of the level of service received at The Lodge. We will forever hold this special place near and dear to our hearts and we hope to come back again and celebrate future milestones.

The staff at the lodge where absolutely fantastic cora and the team are just the dream team .They catered for everything we asked for and made our day extremely memorable even during all the madness that was covid ,nothing was to much for them. The food was amazing quality and enjoyed by all.

Cora and her team at The Lodge at Ashford stopped at nothing to ensure everything came together to make our special day, one that both ourselves and our guests will never forget. In the midst of the pandemic no request was too big or too small.
One of the main drivers for us booking The Lodge at Ashford was for the quality of the food on offer and it didn't disappoint. Every dish produced was at such a high level, our friends and family still talk about the Scotch Egg starter, the Baked Alaska dessert and the breakfast the next day (Kevin is a superstar & kept everyone entertained all morning.)
The team at The Lodge also went above and beyond to ensure that our second day was as special as the first. Given the weather they were continuously having to think on their feet but we ended up having such an incredible evening. This wouldn't have been possible, given the restrictions in place, if it wasn't for the patience & helpfulness of all the staff involved.

We finally had our special day at the Lodge on June 19th 2021 after 2 date changes due to Covid. The entire team at the Lodge created a wonderful day for us, everything went perfectly and we were guided by the fabulous Cora who helped us every step of the way with her calming, warm nature and can-do attitude. The food at The Lodge is outstanding and no request is too big. We felt so special and well looked after. This will always be a special place for us now. We had a fantastic experience with the lodge. We had our day on the 12.6.21 and it went better than we could ever have hoped. Cora and Michelle were fantastic and delivered us a spectacular day. They worked with us on the restrictions in place at the time and kept us up to date with everything. The lodge itself is so beautiful and I would highly highly recommend for a wedding venue. We had never visited The lodge until the day before our wedding. It was an unforgettable day that the two of us will treasure forever. The location is Beautiful, the bridal suite was amazing, our wedding meal and wine was so delicious and very romantic just the two of us looking over lough Corrib, thank you to the chef.

My Husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding at The Lodge on 31st December 2020. NYE has always been a special date for us so when Cora told us there was availability we snapped it up! From the beginning the service we received was superb. We really cannot fault it. Cora and her team are amazing. The attention to detail and open line of communication exceeded our expectations, there was always someone at the end of the phone.
Albeit a 'Covid' wedding with 25 guests we weren't made feel any different on our special day. If anything we felt that the staff at The Lodge went above and beyond to make the run up to and the weekend of our wedding even more special for us. Our families are still commenting on how well they were treated by Andrew and the staff during their stay. Our guests were allocated fabulous rooms, had the opportunity to take part in activities on the grounds of Ashford Castle and enjoyed a gorgeous dinner at Wilde's the evening before the wedding.
Planning our wedding with Cora, the Wedding and Events Manager, was a dream. Firstly, she put all my worries and woes about the covid restrictions at ease...and we had many a phone call back and over on the run up to NYE! From planning our wedding tasting night to tables plans, Cora was on hand to lend her advise and expertise. Cora and her team listened to our requests and helped us make the most out of our intimate wedding. The function room was arranged and decorated beautifully and really was the perfect setting for an intimate evening with family and friends. Cora and team didn't miss a beat and had tended to all the finer details for Eoin and I before our arrival. It truly was the most perfect setting and we loved the care and attention that was given to dressing the function room for us.
Our wedding meal was outstanding, a special word of thanks to the wonderful Chef Jonathan Keane for providing the wow factor. It was simply delicious!
Throughout the wedding day/evening itself our vendors were treated so well and have commented on how accommodating and welcoming the staff at The Lodge were. They wanted for nothing throughout the day/night.
A special word of thanks to Anna also, who ensured that our wedding evening ran smoothly. From acting as a DJ to coordinating our first dance outside before rounding up the staff and guests to ring in the New Year with fireworks display. She was super and even threw in a few surprises for Eoin and I along the way!
It really was the most amazing day. The staff, venue and atmosphere were wonderful. We couldn't recommend The Lodge enough and we can't wait to come back for a night soon!

We got married less than a month ago in December 2020, and chose the most unpredictable year to do so!
We originally decided on The Lodge at Ashford Castle because of the location, hotel suites, gorgeous lake view reception room, delicious food and incredible staff - we were so so grateful on many occasions to have made that decision!
Before we knew just how unpredictable the year was going to be, we had started to plan our perfect day with the help of The Lodge's Wedding & Events Manager, Cora. She helped us choose vendors that would work well for our situation (living in the US while planing a Winter wedding back home in Ireland) and was a pleasure to work with.
With all of the uncertainties, Cora was so helpful and flexible, ready to talk us through the government recommendations, changes and adaptions needed. We never had to worry about breaking our original contract, having less people to fill rooms or seats on the day. Our minds were put at ease right away without even having to mention it. Cora and the team listened to what we wanted to do, advised us when we were unsure and made our 21 person wedding just as spectacular and more special than we could have imagined.
The night before the wedding we had a meal for all our party, but even with social distancing, the team at The Lodge still delivered the most intimate evening for us and our guests. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was light and fun, and everyone was so comfortable and at ease, from the babies to the Grandparents.
On the day of the wedding, the team at The Lodge took care of everything, from thoughtful snacks for the vendors, to a couple of surprises for my husband and I! They ensured that everything was set up perfectly, acted as ?DJ? for our day and no request from us or any of our guests was met with anything less than helpful enthusiasm.

We celebrated our wedding at The Lodge at Ashford Castle on 5th December 2020. We found the service to be unbelievable. The attention to detail and communication between the weddings manager and us the client, was second to none.
We had been forced to reschedule our wedding due to Covid restrictions and the hotel were so accommodating to make this as easy as possible. Having never been to The Lodge before, we emailed the hotel and got in touch with Cora the Wedding Coordinator before making an appointment to go up and see the venue. Once we had a tour of the hotel and took time to chat with Cora, we booked our date within a couple of days.
From the initial email right through until after our wedding, service was exceptional! The rate of responsiveness was almost immediate no matter how big or small a query we had despite the limited opening hours of the hotel due to COVID. Nothing was an obstacle for the hotel, Cora reassured us and they remained so flexible due to the pandemic which was amazing for us when planning during a very uncertain time. We had 25 guests and the room was absolutely ideal in terms of space and layout, so much so, it felt as if there were far more as the room appeared full!
The welcome we and all our guests received was so warm, to the extent that almost everyone was commenting on it. Staff were so kind and couldn't do enough. Food and service were second to none, fillet steak cooked to order for all.

Our original date was rescheduled due to lockdown. We cannot thank Cora, Peter, and all @ The Lodge enough for their hard work, attention to detail, and superior service to all our guests. Weather on our side, the team arranged our outdoor ceremony looking over Lough Corrib at less than 24hrs notice. We sincerely recommend The Lodge and the amazing attentive team.

We had the perfect wedding at The Lodge at Ashford and would highly recommend. The location is private and unique and the surroundings are beautiful as is the hotel itself. The staff are second to none, extremely friendly and obliging and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb as was the service. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere to The Lodge which made all our guests feel comfortable and many commented on the striking artwork and relaxing vibe. What made our day very special was the fact that the Hotel is also pet friendly so we were able to have our pooch with us on the day for a few hours which was wonderful.

We had the pleasure of having our wedding at the lodge on 11th of October and it was one of the most magical experiences. From our first meeting with the team we knew there was only one venue for us. I can't recommend the Lodge At Ashford highly enough. They were THE best decision that we made. They couldn't do enough for us from the moment we made our first enquiry, all all the way through until we got married, and finally left them alone two days after that. It was all done with warmth and ease. Our wedding co-ordinator was always on hand, and always ready with a positive reply. I didn't have a particular vision or, to be frank, much of an idea of what we wanted (we just wanted to get married and have some fun!) and they made every moment simply that; Fun. We got married on the grounds, and all the staff were spectacular. "Is there any chance you might have a speaker for my phone, so that I could play some music?" I asked on the morning of the wedding as we got ready. Cue a professional boom box arriving in our room within two minutes. I jokingly then asked for a pony, which I think they genuinely considered getting me. The room we were due to get married in was set up beautifully, but as the day gently eased into a sunny afternoon, they suggested that we could get married outside. 'Not a problem'. It was bliss.
The food was amazing, the rooms are gorgeous and I haven't even begun to talk about the views or grounds.
Getting married at the Lodge At Ashford is one decision that you won't regret.

When we went to visit The Lodge At Ashford as a potential wedding venue, we knew almost instantly it was the perfect place for us. The setting over looking the lake was picture perfect, and when we met Claire, who was the wedding event manager at the time, that just confirmed things for us. The difference between The Lodge and all the other places that we checked out was that they actually make you feel like you are the most special couple in the world, which makes you feel like they have your back instantly. They dont try the hard sell, which was a breath of fresh air, and really just allow you to get a feel for the place without feeling under pressure to make any decisions. The whole process from beginning to end was seamless. Nothing we asked was a problem, and if anything they showed great enthusiasm when you came up with an idea for your big day. Not once did we feel we made the wrong choice. Everything worked brilliantly, and we couldnt have been happier with the day.
If you're considering The Lodge as your wedding venue, stop thinking about it and just book it. I really mean that. That place is special, and our guests still talk about the beautiful setting.

Our wedding day in June was absolutely incredible. It all came together exactly how we envisioned, even though we did things a little differently to the standard Irish wedding. We had a few Aussie touches such as long tables and no top table, and no request was turned down by Claire. Planning a wedding from Australia was no hassle as Claire was very responsive.
The service was impeccable and the food was divine - every single one of our guests raved about the service they received and the food they ate. We had a perfect weekend at the Lodge, Claire was excellent. The hotel looked gorgeous and the service and food were brilliant on the day. We had our second day bbq out the front of the hotel and were so impressed by the gorgeous set up and food. Everything went great but felt very relaxed. Highly recommend.

The hotel were very welcoming to guests on arrival, however it was confusing where drinks for reception were being held as multiple entrances. Service was excellent and staff were very attentive and friendly to guests. Food was prepared beautifully and was plentiful, however, long gap between courses. Transition between meal and dancing was seamless. Bar staff were organized and fast. Breakfast was exceptional, well presented and very accommodating staff. Overall fantastic experience and delighted we choose the lodge as our venue.

We had a Civil Ceremony wedding in the beautiful Junior Harbour Ballroom overlooking the lake followed by our reception here in the evening. From the day we all arrived the afternoon before, Eimear was by my side to help unpack and do anything I needed in preparation for the big day. The morning of the wedding she was on hand all day to check we were doing OK and making sure everything was set up to run smoothly. I cannot thank her enough for that, she kept me so relaxed as I didn't need to worry about anything, she was absolutely brilliant and such a credit to the wedding team at The Lodge.
The attention to detail was outstanding, the bedrooms were luxurious, all of the food was so tasty and elegantly presented, the staff were so professional and friendly to all of our guests, the sun shone all day for us, we really couldn't have asked for anymore. The most perfect day we will never forget and we cannot wait to go back and celebrate our anniversary with The Lodge.

We highly recommend The Lodge at Ashford. From the moment we spoke with Clare Moran and visited the stunning location, we knew this would be the perfect place to celebrate our Wedding. The service was remarkable each member of staff were so personable and professional in particular Fergal Murphy, who managed & coordinated the entertainment on the night, speeches, fireworks, band & do & even made sure we got a few slices of the Wedding cake! Colin Burke who guided us through our tasting and helped us chose our Wedding wine & gave us a tour of the ballroom to give us a sense of the day. Eimear Birch who supported Clare Moran and were so attentive in the build up & on the Wedding day, calling to the salon in the hotel with surprises & teas, coffees & pastries for the bridal party, gathered our wishes & laid out our photographs & personal touches so beautifully and made the Wedding our own. Thanks to Peter Fergus & Jacinta Downey for their management. Thanks to Michael, Nicky, Ross, Conor & Daragh for keeping all our guests served throughout the night. A huge thank you to Marcus, Adam, Roisin, Daren, Karen, Chloe, Mark, Kevin, Ronan, Aoibhinn, Emilio and Pat for their impeccable service, we were spoiled, throughout the dinner and after, our guests were delighted with the personal welcome with help carrying bags, holding umbrellas out as we arrived, turning napkins, helping us carry out all our belongings to our car and even parking for us. We are a little late in writing a review, but we wanted to share our experience with The Lodge at Ashford Castle. It was a wonderful and amazing experience. We worked with Claire, planning our wedding from the US; she made the process easy and fun and she always had time to answer our questions/requests. Once we were in country, everyone on the team made our wedding happen smoothly. The service at the Lodge is incredible, starting with Claire, who is so talented, organized, friendly, and all around a great person. She helped us feel confident that everything would come together for the wedding, and she took care of all the details. We had a fabulous time; our guests raved about the Lodge setting, service, and the food. We had a beautiful time at the Lodge, and we hope to get back there again, we loved it so much. We fell in love with the Lodge at Ashford Castle many years ago when we first visited. I can't even put into words how special this venue is. You get that lovely "Home from Home" feeling when you are there. The service is amazing, the staff are super friendly you'll find yourself hanging out having chats with them throughout your stay and most importantly the Lodge has a way of adding that "Special Touch" to everything, that you just can't find anywhere else. We feel so lucky to have been able to celebrate our Wedding there in September, spending three days there was just Amazing from start to finish. Claire and Eimear our wedding coordinators were like friends to us at the end of it all, they are Pros at what they do! Claire and the team at The Lodge were nothing short of amazing. Leading up to the day Claire was our go to lady and she kept us in the loop, very responsive and personable. Claire and her team managed to make the day before the wedding, the morning of and the wedding day run so smooth. My husband and I had quite a small, intimate and absolutely perfect wedding celebration at the Lodge following our wedding ceremony. As we only had 12 dinner guests and were keeping our celebration quite informal, we were unsure of how to proceed however Claire and all the team at the lodge were incredibly helpful from beginning to end. I should also add that we had quite a short lead in time to our wedding, just three months, therefore Claire pulled it all off very quickly.
Claire and her team prepared one large table in one of the quaint rooms at Wildes at the Lodge for our small party and it worked perfectly for our intimate gathering. We were so grateful that our families were so well looked after from the moment they arrived to when they left.
The dinner and impeccable service was absolutely faultless and Claire and her team took all of our requests regarding the menu (some fussy eaters) on board which made our celebration with our family very special indeed. The accommodation was spectacular and our suite was stunning with very thoughtful touches for a newly married couple. Our families, having never visited this area before, were blown away by the grounds at Ashford and spent much time the following day exploring the area.
I have no doubt that the team at the Lodge do an exceptional job for larger weddings however if anyone is considering having a small intimate wedding, this is most definitely a very special place to spend your day and it is a real treat for all of the family.

Words can't describe how happy we were with The Lodge this weekend. We had such a magical wedding and were over the moon with the service. The food, service, organisation, attention to detail and exquisite touches made or day even more special.
I am sure that you did more than we realised too, but I saw that my cousin received an engagement dessert at her table - I don't know how that was done, but she was very happy!
Every single person that we dealt with in the hotel was outstanding...and we probably dealt with over 50 people! The reception, bar staff, waiting staff, even housekeeping did their job with a smile on their face. I can see why you are an award winning hotel. Most of our guests hadn't been to the lodge and around half hadn't been to Ireland before and many said that they would return to both!
I don't plan to marry again, but if I did I would definitely return to the lodge to host!

We are so glad that we had our wedding reception at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. It is a stunning venue and the grounds and view are to die for. Claire was such a pleasure to deal with and nothing we wanted was too much. The food on the day was exceptional and so many of our guests commented on the food and the venue. Picking a venue is the biggest decision you make for the biggest day of your life and we are delighted we chose The Lodge.

From the initial email exchange to the day of our wedding we were met with a high level of professionalism and courtesy. Our planner, Claire, was extremely helpful and very efficient during our planning stages. The Lodge was very accommodating and we were impressed with all of the staff who went above and beyond to ensure our guests were well-catered for during our wedding day. The venue is superb, with its beautiful location, inviting d?cor and excellent facilities. We had a wonderful day and we could not recommend the Lodge more to any couple considering the venue for their wedding.

We were 100% happy with our decision to get married at The Lodge at Ashford Castle. Not only was the venue beautiful but the staff were amazing and the setting is just stunning. All our guests were blown away by it too. We can't wait to go back and stay again soon to bring back all the happy memories of our day!

We absolutely loved our wedding at The Lodge! Claire and the team took care of everything on the day and our guests have all been raving about the food and service. We live in New Zealand and could only be in Ireland a couple of weeks before the wedding, which made some of the planning challenging, but they were so accommodating and made everything as easy as possible for us, and really went above and beyond on the day. The hotel rooms were really comfortable, with several bridal suites to choose from and there are so many beautiful settings for photos. The nearby village and castle are great spots for guests to visit the day before/after the wedding too, if you're making a weekend out of it like we did. We would definitely recommend as a venue to anyone planning a wedding!

We got married September 2017 at the Lodge at Ashford Castle. We are a couple from Liverpool with a close connection to the Emerald Isle. We didn't have to think hard on where to say ?I do? but we had to get the location just right. The lodge was the second location out of three in completely different parts of Ireland. We had been to Cong before and had fallen in love with its history and quaintness. Arriving for the first time at the lodge we both knew straight away that this was our venue. We were welcomed and felt right at home by all the staff. We could picture all our family and friends loving it and being impressed just as much as we did when we first arrived. We fell in love so much we cancelled our third venue meeting.
Planning the wedding from Liverpool was a breeze. The people of cong and all who work at the lodge couldn't do enough for us, giving us advise and pointing us in the right direction at every step of the way. The wedding fair at the lodge in the October before our wedding really helped with our planning too and meeting local suppliers and acts was an added help.
Claire was brilliant at keeping intouch with us with conference calls and responding to my bridezilla emails leading up to us coming over.
We took over the lodge pretty much the week of the wedding and the whole of cong in fact. 50 scousers are not very quiet?!?
On our big day the atmosphere around the hotel was totally calm and relaxed. Claire came to see me and my bridal party in the beauty room the morning of the wedding and made me feel totally at ease. We had our ceremony at Ballintubber Abbey. Returning back to the Lodge on the high that you are on to see all our guests in the bar with our memory table and all our little details just how we had imagined was totally overwhelming. From start to finish of the day nothing was too much for the staff. We even asked Fergel to shout our names when introducing us as the new Mr & Mrs and he did not let us down. The memories we have from our day/week have been made because of the staff and everyone's kindness and help. Every detail discussed, idea pondered and plan made was captured by Claire and the entire team.
We hold the Lodge very close in our hearts and cannot wait to come back to see everyone. We would have returned sooner but Baby Ted arrived June 2018 ????

It would be important to be sure exactly how many rooms you have to reserve on the night as these all have to be contracted for so guest would need to be advised that they can't really change their mind if they want a room reserved. This is advise for the wedding couple as the hotel do advise this but the wedding couple would need to advise their guest of this policy or else they could end up paying for unused rooms.
Other advice would be to advise guests and the hotels staff etc if you don't want photos on social media such as Facebook.

Claire was our wedding coordinator, we were so lucky to work with Claire. if you are lucky enough to have Claire involved in your wedding you will have a wonderful experience. The level of service and attention to detail in the lodge is on another level, we had the most personal experience and we felt as though we were the only couple getting married in 2017. The venue is stunning, we couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We recently had our wedding at The Lodge at Ashford Castle and would highly recommend to anyone. The venue is fabulous and the rooms are impeccable, all of our guests were very impressed. Many of them are talking about return visits to the Lodge. Our food the night before the wedding and also on the day was perfect, all clean plates from all of our guests! Every time we visited the Lodge we were given such a warm welcome by all the staff. Our wedding coordinator Claire was wonderful, nothing was too much hassle for her, she was a pleasure to deal with on every occasion. She took care of everything in the run up to the wedding including getting me to the car on time to go to the church! We would highly recommend the Lodge as a wedding venue and look forward to spending many anniversaries there in the future.

Our first experience of the Lodge was attending a friend's wedding there. From that moment we fell in love with the place and there was then only one contender for our own wedding venue. The layout of the hotel and the stunning views are breathtaking; a very memorable setting. The experience of choosing our venue was also made special by the incredible staff and the welcoming ambiance of the Lodge. Every time we met Claire, our wedding co-coordinator, we became more and more excited. No request was a hassle for Claire or the Lodge, instead every opportunity was afforded to us to make our wedding special. Claire's professionalism, lovely manner and continual offers of assistance were a fantastic help during our planning. We were treated like VIPs every time we visited the Lodge from our fabulous night stay for our exquisite menu tasting to our wedding day itself.On the day itself Claire was once again a star making sure everything ran smoothly and that we were both having a great day. The wider staff group at the Lodge also paid every attention to detail and made us feel extremely special. The food here is also just out of this world. Our guests are still talking about how wonderful our wedding menu was and especially the cheese and cured meat stand for our arrival drinks!! Our experience with The Lodge was 5 star in every possible way and our only regret is that we can't go back and experience our wedding there again.We are already planning on going back this summer.

Being from the other side of the country, the Lodge wasn't an obvious choice for us as a wedding venue, however, the first moment we saw it we knew it was something special. We were blown away by the breathtaking scenery all around and the warm, friendly atmosphere in the hotel itself, so we quickly booked in our date.
The team were so hands on in the run up to the wedding and guided us through the entire process. We genuinely felt like we were their only focus during the planning process and we really valued their attentive approach and professionalism. As we were not from the area, we needed a lot of support in getting the details together and the Lodge was always willing to lend a hand. We can honestly say it was a pleasure to deal with Karen and the team throughout.
When it came to our wedding day itself, the team ensured we had the most relaxed, chilled out wedding day possible and they looked after every little detail. Karen was always on hand and made sure that everything was running smoothly throughout the day.
The service in the Lodge was impeccable and we didn't have to think or worry about anything. The team anticipated our every need and made sure our guests were completely looked after. As well as the service, our guests were particularly impressed by the food - which really was out of this world - and the atmosphere of the venue. In fact, they are still all talking about it! Our wedding day at The Lodge was just fantastic. The venue, the food and the staff were second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and Karen, Clare and Sharon were so good with us and all our guests. Everything went like a dream and although the day flew the staff made it so memorable from the beginning of the day until the end at a very late hour of the night!
We stayed for 3 days in total and it was the best time and I couldn't recommend the Lodge enough for a wedding venue its so special and hopefully we will be coming back as an old married couple for many years to come!

We had a wonderful experience from the moment we enquired about the venue and right throughout the preparations and of course the day itself. The staff were excellent and having a dedicated wedding coordinator was just perfect (thanks Karen) Really did make the whole process go so smoothly. Organizing a wedding while living abroad was made simple because of the team at the Lodge at Ashford Castle. Glad we chose them for our big day!!

We had our wedding at The Lodge on September 2nd 2016. It was a very easy decision. We viewed a few venues before The Lodge but nothing compared to the breath-taking views and grounds on the estate and the extremely warm welcome we received when we arrived. It was the depths of winter when we viewed it first and it looked as amazing then as it did during the summer. Our wedding co-ordinator was Claire Moran, she is such a professional, so lovely to talk to and her sense of calm is very reassuring. From the lead up to the wedding; organising rooms for guests, seating plan, menu tasting and all the smaller details, Claire took care of all of that, to the day of the wedding itself where she saw me off to the church and fixed my makeup as I was about to get into the wedding car after someone gave me a big smacker on the cheek with lipstick, she ran into the bridal suite to get my blender brush to fix it! She was there all day to make sure everything went smoothly. She really was such a pleasure to deal with as were all the staff at The Lodge. The whole wedding process was made so simple. We are so grateful to everyone at The Lodge for making our day so special. Looking forward to spending our anniversary there next year. Thanks all.

We chose The Lodge at Ashford Castle because it was an intimate venue, with personalised service and great food. The staff at the Lodge are amazing. They really work hard to make the day special and take care of every last detail. The location is stunning and our guests felt so well looked after. We really could not recommend this venue highly enough. Jacinta who coordinated the wedding for us was absolutely amazing. She really sorted everything which was so important as we were trying to organise the day from the UK.

We have the most amazing wedding in the Lodge in August 2016. We really could not have asked for a better experience. I couldn't recommend the Lodge highly enough. We had our big day there in July this year and it was the weekend of a lifetime. The scenery, the food, the beautiful way the hotel is decorated and the fact that the team at the lodge couldn't do enough for us. The service really is second to none, with so many thoughtful touches. They made us feel like we were the only wedding at the lodge (when in reality they have a wedding there most days). We absolutely loved it and so did all of our guests.

We cannot recommend or praise the Lodge at Ashford Castle highly enough. From start to finish they were a pleasure to deal with.The day ran so smooth, the setting is so beautiful and the food was out of this world. We had a childrens table (about 10 kids) at our wedding and they all felt right at home with the lawns and games room and the staff were excellent with them.The staff are so welcoming and really made all our guests feel at home. Karen and Jacinta were so lovely to deal with and really made it a day we will always remember. Weddings can be a stressful experience but it really wasn't dealing with the hotel they are so professional full of recommendations to help it all go smoothly. We brought our own beer for the drinks reception it was no problem at all. We had a very relaxed and enjoyable day from start to finish, thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Lodge at Ashford Castle!

The Lodge at Ashford Castle was our dream wedding venue. From start to finish it was absolutely flawless - the grounds, the food, the rooms, the staff and all the little details in between. We viewed 3 or 4 venues when we got engaged but this was an obvious winner for us. We didn't even consider anywhere else once we had discovered The Lodge.
On the 'big day' itself we had the wedding we always dreamed of - drinks reception on the beautiful lawns, personalised cocktails, amazing 5 course meal, great wine, fabulous reception room overlooking Lough Corrib, followed by dancing and singing until all hours into the night. In addition to all of that, (and many of our guests commented on this too), the service was impeccable and the staff were so professional, friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more from them.
The following day, we had a private boat trip organised and barbecue back in the Lodge, followed by a trad session down in the lovely little village of Cong. Overall, amazing experience from beginning to end, not only for my new husband and I, but for our families and friends too. Thank you to all who contributed to making it happen for us, a weekend we will always look back on fondly x

We had our wedding reception at the Lodge and we couldn't have asked for anything more from the venue ? a fabulous location inside and out, wonderful staff, beautiful and luxurious rooms for our guests, and truly amazing food from Jonathan and his team.
We wanted to add lots of our own d?cor on the day and the wedding team couldn't have done a better job with making sure all our little touches were incorporated and laid out perfectly. It's a dream venue, exquisitely presented and immaculately run. The rooms were breathtaking, not just the wedding suites but the guest rooms aswell. The food is mouth-wateringly good and we were really keen on the locally sourced and home grown produce.
Staff were so friendly, approachable, and flexible in helping make the day a success, before and during our wedding. Everyone took an interest in our big day, from the porters on arrival, to the bar and restaurant staff - they all knew our names for our menu tasting and wedding day. A big thankyou to Colin, Claire & Jacinta for all their help and support.

Overall, the service provided was impeccable from our first meeting with the wedding planner, right through the planning of the wedding, to our wedding day. The staff were excellent and helpful. The food was A1! Our guests were very complimentary of the food and venue.

From outset I said if we just arrived on the day, I had the confidence that Mairead would have everything arranged as she is a true experienced professional as well as easy to deal with and very quick to respond.
The Lodge itself was like a home away from home and is well run and very well kept.

We had the most wonderful wedding reception at the Lodge in the midst of storm Desmond. The weather conspired against us but Mairead and all the staff at the Lodge pulled out all the stops to make our day so special that the wind and rain outside only made the Christmas fairy lights twinkle even brighter.
In the run up to the wedding we had no worries or stress regarding our venue, Mairead was always very responsive to our questions and kept us up to date with a summary of all decisions. In the year before our wedding we stayed on two different occasions at the Lodge and aside from the beautiful setting and building, the friendliness of the staff is something that we noticed, which was important to us for our wedding. The food on our wedding day was amazing, and vegetarians, vegans and children were all accommodated. The bridal suite was gorgeous with a copper bath in the room (luckily we decided to stay an extra night after the wedding so were able to relax and appreciate it all). Many of our guests had travelled from Dublin and had not stayed often / before in the area and I know that after staying at the Lodge many intend to return. I'm so glad we chose this venue for our wedding, not only because everything went so well but also because we have somewhere so special to return to for wedding anniversaries etc.
In a nutshell, if you are looking for somewhere magical for your wedding reception - this is the place!

Staff were extremely helfpful..all our requests were accommodated as well as the room laid out exactly as we wanted with our own table settings.
Guests were all delighted with the food.

The Lodge was amazing! I needed to lean on them a lot, as I was planning from the US, and they made everything so easy! We even wanted to bring over some new customs from the US and they were able to set everything up without a hitch!!!

The wedding manager Mairead was very co-operative and assited in recommendations for Car Hire, Churches, flowers, etc. and left nothing to chance. As father of the bride I was most pleased with the location and wedding room, the food which could be described as better than Michelin star, the bedrooms and surrounds.

The Lodge is in a stunning setting, which wowed the guests from the drive in. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere on our wedding day was one of relaxed fun. Although we hadn't exclusivity of the venue, it still felt like we had largely taken over a country home! Food was fantastic, better than at our tasting, and the feedback from guests on the quality and quantity of the meals was extremely positive. Mairead and her team are skilled at what they do, so relax in the knowledge that you and your guests are in safe hands. Thanks to all at the lodge for looking after us so well. We had a fantastic day.

We got married at the Lodge at Ashford this summer and we had an absolutely fantastic experience! We are so happy that we picked this venue, for the location, the coziness of the Lodge, and certainly not least - the level of professionalism and service we got from the staff. We were planning the wedding from another country, and we were so pleased with how well the hotel communicated with us and worked with us to help plan our big day. They truly went the extra mile. We always felt like we were given their full attention, even though I know that summers are very busy with weddings every weekend. Their level of individual attention was really impressive.
We also found most of their wedding suppliers to be excellent - their florist (Geraldine), bakery (Devour), hairstylist (Siobhan) and in-house makeup (Debbie) were truly fantastic and we were so happy with their work.
We would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding. I don't think we could've been any happier with the way they managed our own wedding, and the experience we and our guests had here.
We also found most of their wedding suppliers to be excellent - their florist (Geraldine), bakery (Devour), hairstylist (Siobhan) and in-house makeup (Debbie) were truly fantastic and we were so happy with their work.

We held our wedding on August bank holiday weekend 2015. We took the lodge exclusively as our numbers started at 300 and with the addition of a glass marquee we needed to secure the venue for a few days. It really was the most amazing weekend. Our family felt it was completely out of this world. The level of care and attention each and every one of our guests was shown was amazing. The quality of food was like nothing before and people were in awe of the lamb and how well it was cooked, presented, served and tasted for such a large number. The standard of service throughout the hotel again was second to none .. The staff are just so natural and personable. It really made for a fun weekend. We still have family saying it was one of the best weddings they were ever at.
We held a bbq and fun family sports day on the Sunday which was such fun .. The grounds in lodge are just perfect for all your 2nd day activity needs. The boat cruise was a huge success with our family and the Luskins were just fantastic. The lodge is such a stunning and special venue for so many reasons and I must be crazy but I would do it ALL AGAIN and change nothing about our day. It really was all we imagined and more.

We had our wedding reception at The Lodge in July 2015. It was absolutely perfect! It is such a beautiful and relaxed venue. Mairead the wedding planner was so helpful from the very start and always promptly responded to my many questions and queries. Every member of staff that we dealt with from management to wait staff were so lovely and pleasant. The food on the day was exceptional. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food. The evening before the wedding we went down to The Lodge to set up some of our own decorations and a DIY photobooth, the staff that were there at the time were so helpful and basically took it all from us and said they would organise it all. I was very impressed by this and it took a lot of pressure off! The function room looked beautiful on the day, I would advise any couple to go and look at the room when it is set up for a wedding, fab! We had such a good experience at The Lodge, it really was the perfect day. I would have done it all over again the next day!

The Lodge is amazing in every way possible! The quality of service is second to none, every single person we encountered was professional, friendly and couldn't do enough to make our wedding special. It's such a beautiful location, very unique and relaxed. We loved every second of being there and found it very hard to leave! Looking back we wouldn't change a thing about our day, the staff at the Lodge, together with the amazing food, rooms and location made it the perfect wedding venue. I also have to mention the beauty rooms for my makeup (and room for hairdresser to use) it was a very stress free morning getting ready! And finally Mairead the wedding co-ordinator and the girls that managed the dinner on the day, their attention to the small details really made everything run so smoothly. I can't fault a single thing.

We could not recommend The Lodge highly enough for a wedding venue. The staff, everyone including Mairead the wedding coordinator were lovely and so helpful, nothing was a problem on our wedding day. The atmosphere in the hotel makes it such a beautiful venue, be it for an intimate or larger wedding. All guests were delighted with the standard of rooms and service provided. The food was delicious. So happy to have found this hotel for our wedding, it was just perfect!!!

We dealt with Mairead from start to finish and our wedding turned out perfectly. In difficult family circumstances Mairead was so supportive and helpful even when it looked like we might have to postpone the wedding... thankfully we didn't have to. I believe Mairead has moved on now which is a huge loss to the Lodge
The entire team in the hotel from reception to bar staff and waiting staff were kind and excellent at their jobs. I couldn't recommend this hotel more. My guests are still talking about the food and we all had an amazing weekend
A piece of advice i would give is to ensure you're clear on how many rooms you need as the hotel sold 25 rooms to a tour group on the night of our wedding. This was long before the invitations were sent and if i hadn't insisted on them sorting this out, a lot of my guests would have gone without rooms. I was not consulted before the rooms were booked out to the tour. This however, is my only complaint

The Lodge at Ashford offers a little slice of heaven!
The views are breathtaking, the rooms are modern while retaining the Lodges vintage chic inspirations!
The food is extraordinary with something for everyone including the plainest palate and the service is top class.
I couldn't say enough about Mairead and all the staff ,words can not describe how kind, hardworking, personable or warm she and the staff are.
We stayed two nights and both nights nothing was any trouble for them, the food on the second day was fab and the bar was in no rush to close!
Such a great experience, great venue, great location, great staff and a wedding planner that truly is exceptional.
The only addition that is lacking in an otherwise excellent service would be the inclusion of a little acknowledgement of the 1st wedding anniversary, it is a nice tip of the hat as where else would you rather spend your wedding anniversary than in the place that gave you the happiest memories!
The views are breathtaking, the rooms are modern while retaining the Lodges vintage chic inspirations!
The food is extraordinary with something for everyone including the plainest palate and the service is top class.
I couldn't say enough about Mairead and all the staff ,words can not describe how kind, hardworking, personable or warm she and the staff are.
We stayed two nights and both nights nothing was any trouble for them, the food on the second day was fab and the bar was in no rush to close!
Such a great experience, great venue, great location, great staff and a wedding planner that truly is exceptional.

My husband and I could not praise The Lodge at Ashford highly enough as a wedding destination. Mairead, Anna and all the staff were so professional and personable. The food was top notch and the setting speaks for itself. We have such happy memories of all our experiences at The Lodge while planning the wedding, our wedding day and we are most warmly welcomed back any time we return. We couldn't rate The Lodge highly enough.

We were married in The Lodge at Ashford Castle in August 2014.
The experience from our first enquiry through to the day after our wedding was second to none. The charm of the venue really is equally matched with the charm of The Lodge staff; no request was too much and all enquiries were dealt with in a timely, professional & friendly manner. Mairead was in touch constantly and was on hand both the day before and the day of our wedding, knowing we had her to rely on really took the pressure off us and knowing our guests were in good hands was another massive relief.
The Lodge is a chic and stylish venue, the rooms are amazing and the views are absolutely breathtaking; all of our guests were impressed with both the hotels d?cor and surrounding natural beauty.
The set up for a wedding works extremely well, especially the private bar area adjacent to the main room.
The food is delicious too, and one of the highlights for us was the night of our tasting when we got to try a selection of what was on offer for the day of our wedding.
We did not have one complaint about our wedding day at The Lodge or indeed the whole experience with Rachel, Mairead , Saskia and all of staff at The Lodge, it really was what we dreamed it would be.
Hopefully we will get to return for a night in the not too distant future and re-live our dream.

As soon as we stepped through the door we knew the Lodge was the perfect choice to host the most special day of our lives. And we weren't disappointed!! With the Lodge you get much more than just a venue to host your wedding; you get a place that is made to feel like home, a fantastic location that feels like an oasis from everyday life, excellent food that tastes like top restaurant quality rather than another standard hotel, and professional yet warm and welcoming staff who genuinely want you to have a great experience and work very hard to do so. Mairead, Saskia and the team were great to deal with from beginning to end and made us feel at ease throughout. No request was too difficult and every detail was catered for. With all the stress coming up to the wedding it was great to know that this was one part that was in great hands and we never felt worried. We had an unforgettable day and the Lodge played a large part in that!!

We recently got married at The Lodge at Ashford Castle and really cannot recommend it enough. It was a truly fantastic experience in every way, from the idyllic setting, delicious food, professional and attentive staff to the really comfortable accommodation. Our guests really enjoyed the day and all of those who stayed for the long weekend were really complementary about the hospitality of the staff, great setting and fun! If you are looking for somewhere that offers a little something different to the usual run-of-the-mill Irish wedding venue in oversized and dark reception rooms, I would choose this boutique hotel any day.

I have not been to many weddings but all our guests keep telling us how fantastic it was from start to finish, from the helpful and polite staff to the fantastic food and to the perfect setting that is your Hotel. I felt that I must write and thank you all for the hard work that was put into Sara's and Gavin's wedding. Everything was just perfect from the friendly welcome we received on our arrival to the departure. The wedding reception was beautifully organised and the food was amazing. So many guests have commented on the high standard of food and that yu would have to go along way to get a better meal. All your staff are so friendly and may I say a special thank you to Mairead for her organization and attention to detail. Also to Grainne in the beauty salon for the make-up she did on the Bride and Bridesmaids to make them so beautiful. Also thanks from the two Mum's..!! We will certainly pay another visit to Lisloughrey Lodge when in your part of the world. Once again very many thanks.

Well we are now back from our honeymoon and to reality with a bang and just wanted to drop you all a line to say thank you so much for everything on our wedding day & the whole wedding weekend last May. We were so happy with the hotel, the service, food and organisation for the wedding and how well everything fell into place?as were all our guests. The three nights in The Lodge at Ashford Castle were truly wonderful and we had nothing but compliments from everyone all weekend. Please pass on our thanks to Chef Wade in particular as the food the night before the wedding in the restaurant, on the wedding day and then again for the bbq was superb. All Mairead and Carly's words of advice were spot on and we really did appreciate all your help leading up the wedding day and over the whole weekend?as god only knows it can be stressful! The hotel really felt like ?ours? for the wedding and it created such a special atmosphere for everyone there. It was truly everything we had hoped for and more and we are just delighted after the whole experience and looking forward to come down to stay again and again over the years! We have had so many comments from our wedding guests on the venue, food and service. It was truly amazing and everything was so professional. We did not have to worry about a thing from when we arrived to when we left. You took care of everything for us so well. Wade, the food was simply out of this world.
