The Exclusive Pavilion with lake views can cater for up to 300 guests while indoors the 18th century Marchioness room can hold a more intimate wedding for anything up to 90 guests.
Virginia Park Lodge was the wedding venue of our dreams. We attending an initial scheduled wedding showcase appointment and was immediately sold, but not by the luxurious, stylish venue and detailed interiors, or by the beautiful gardens and grounds, or by the delicate and delicious gourmet afternoon tea and treats. It was the team that got won us over and helped make the final decision for us.
The guided tour by Jean, and the constant greetings and little chats we had with the staff made us feel welcome and at ease. Everyone on-site had a positive, excited and energetic buzz. During our subsequent visits, we were delighted to see the team each time, and even more so when even the house-keeping staff remembered our names, and chatted to us like friends or family. The genuine attention to detail and sense of home-coming was what we hoped for when choosing our wedding venue. And VPL really delivered that feeling of warmth.
Brainstorming sessions with Ciarán, Ciara, Edson and Deirdre were always invaluable. They really encouraged us with our ideas, and provided guidance and support to realise our vision for the big day!
As self proclaimed foodies we must admit that the food was incredible. Being massive fans of Richard Corrigan we always knew that the food would be great, but even still it really blew us away! Chef Eoin and the team really went above and beyond. We loved our tours of the vegetable patch and poly-tunnels, and I really appreciate the lengths they went to ensure our guests with food requirements were well looked after. Our friends could not believe how well they were catered for, and have not experienced this high level of standard outside of Dubai! Which I believe is a compliment. We are even considering printing photographs of the food for our wedding book. Special mention to Tjaart for the immaculate service and the attention to detail throughout. He really listens to what we wanted to achieve and always came back with great problem solving ideas! He was one of many MVPs.

If possible, we recommend doing the night before rehearsal family banquet - it was really worth it! Again, the food was fabulous. But not only that, we felt the night before rehearsal really allowed us to relax and ease into the big day ahead, and gave us time to have more intimate moments with our closest friends and family. Again, highly recommend!
We cannot wait for our future visits to Virginia Park Lodge to celebrate anniversaries and many more important milestones.
