Virginia Park Lodge, an 18th century hunting estate set in 100 acres of beautiful Cavan countryside overlooking Lough Ramor. Taken over and restored by Richard Corrigan, the Virginia Park Lodge is the epitome of elegance, with a distinctly homely feel and luxury finishing touches.

We offer a dedicated events team to organise all the special details of your wedding. We are happy to design a bespoke menu, compiled using only the finest natural produce, a true reflection of Richard Corrigan’s passion for wild, flavour-rich and unpretentious cooking. The historic house and stunning gardens are exclusively yours to enjoy with your close friends and family amidst the beauty and privacy of the estate.
The Exclusive Pavilion with lake views can cater for up to 300 guests while indoors the 18th century Marchioness room can hold a more intimate wedding for anything up to 90 guests.

From start to finish, everything went so smoothly for our wedding. From meeting Deirdre for a tour of the venue to the staff waving us off the morning after our wedding, it all went perfectly.
Virginia Park Lodge is the ideal setting for a celebration with the lake in full view of our drinks reception, the pavilion surrounded by beautiful greenery outdoors while we had our meal and the evening party back in the house.
The key aspect of VPL is the food and drinks offering. They leave a lasting impression and it was a lot of fun along the way, having had our menu tasting in London!
The VPL team couldn’t do enough for you. Margot helped us pull everything together in the final weeks, with extremely helpful reminders in the lead up and a consultation to run through the finer details that can (and did) slip the mind. With all this help, there were zero mishaps on the big day.
We had such a brilliant day and couldn’t thank the team at VPL enough!

Virginia Park was an absolutely magical place to have our wedding. Even months later, our family and friends have continued to rave about the incredibly fresh and delicious food, beautiful rooms and wonderful hospitality. We are so thankful we picked this spectacular venue. It truly felt like our home during our three-day wedding celebration and it’s a place that will always be special for us. We look forward to a return visit. Thank you to Deirdre, Margot, Ciaran and all of Virginia Park’s staff who made our wedding go so smoothly. It was truly the wedding of our dreams!

From the very first meeting, we knew Virginia Park Lodge was something special. Despite visiting on a cold January day, both Deirdre and Margot welcomed us with such warmth that we instantly felt at home. We left that meeting absolutely certain that this was the perfect venue for our July 2025 wedding.
Our menu tasting in London was another highlight of the planning process. It was such a fun, memorable experience, and we were incredibly lucky that Richard happened to be there on the day. He took the time to chat with us about our menu choices, which made the whole experience feel even more personal and exciting.
We also hosted our Day 2 celebration at the lodge—a relaxed BBQ with a Wimbledon theme. Margot went above and beyond by adding Pimm’s and strawberries & cream to the menu, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the day feel uniquely “us.”
We were married on one of the hottest weekends of the year, which made the morning-after swim in the lake feel like pure magic. It was the perfect way to end a weekend full of joy, celebration, and wonderful memories.
On the wedding day itself, Kieran was nothing short of incredible. He handled every request, last-minute change, and little hiccup with complete calm and professionalism. Nothing ever seemed to phase him, and knowing he was there made us feel completely at ease.
The food, the service, and the beautiful surroundings of Virginia Park Lodge all came together to create the wedding of our dreams. We honestly couldn’t imagine a more perfect venue or better team. We’re already planning our next stay—perhaps a cosy Christmas lunch!

Our wedding at Virginia Park Lodge was everything we had dreamed of and more. From our first visit, everything felt a level above. Every detail feels like has been carefully considered, and you could tell that the team took great pride in curating an amazing day. Their eye for quality touches was amazing, and the timing of the day couldn't have flowed better.
The staff in particular were incredible - warm, professional and so attentive to all our guests throughout. Special thanks to Margot who went above and beyond for us at every stage. Nothing was ever too much trouble and since our wedding, we have heard from so many of our guests about how beautiful the day was. Several have told us it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended, and many have asked how we found such an amazing venue. We know Virginia Park Lodge will always be a very special place to us.

Upon viewing The Lodge — our very first venue visit in Ireland — we instantly knew it was the one for us. Deirdre welcomed us so warmly and made us feel like our day was just as important to her and the team as it was to us.
Throughout our six-month planning process, Margot, Linda, and the whole team — who work tirelessly behind the scenes — went above and beyond to bring our vision and dream to life. What an excellent decision to book Virginia Park Lodge!
Firstly we can't stress enough how impressed we were with every single member of staff across Virginia Park Lodge and Deerpark Inn. We didn't encounter one member of staff that wasn't completely attentive and doing everything they could to make sure everyone's needs were met. We were so impressed, as were all of our guests. So many of our guests have remarked on the professional standard of service on the day, nothing was too much for any member of staff.
Virginia Park Lodge and Deerpark Inn exceeded all expectations. We were treated to a professional, classy and thoroughly enjoyable day. The food maintained the exceptional standards experienced at Corrigan's Mayfair and the accommodation was top class.

We recently got married at Virginia Park Lodge and the experience was perfect from the moment we walked in.
As bride and groom, our experience with every single member of staff was more than we could have ever expected. My husband and I were able to completely relax for the weekend and hand all wedding preparations over to the very safe hands of Ciaran, Margot and team. Everything that needed to be done was done before we even thought of it!
From the perspective of our guests, the service, food, atmosphere and accommodation was all incredible and the feedback has been amazing from all who attended.
I couldn’t recommend Virginia Park Lodge more highly as a venue to marry in.

Now that the dust has settled on a whirlwind and exciting few days, we would like to take the time to thank you for what was an absolutely perfect wedding. We can truly say that our wedding day was the best day of our lives.
From the moment we first viewed the venue, we knew we were in good hands. Margot and Deirdre were so professional and warm when we first viewed the venue and Ciaran was so accommodating to us in the Deer Park Inn afterwards showing us around all the rooms. The venue ticked all our boxes on our wedding venue wishlist and everything we asked for was accommodated for by the VPL team.
The run up to the wedding felt really smooth and your meticulous preparation made our lives so much easier. The wedding portal and the spreadsheets made it so much easier and we really appreciate your quick replies to our questions.
So many of our guests remarked how perfect the venue was, how the setting was perfect, how the place was decorated, how the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding.
To us though, what really elevated Virginia Park Lodge was the staff. Everyone was just so helpful and attentive throughout our time in the Deer Park Inn and Virginia Park Lodge. We booked in March 2024 and got married in October 2024. Some would say planning a wedding in 8 months is impossible but working with the VPL team, they made everything we hoped for a reality and beyond with as little stress as possible.
From our very first meeting to our final farewells, the team made us feel so special, took the time to get to know us, truly listened to what we wanted, and then not only delivered but exceeded all of our expectations.
The food was an absolute highlight for us and our guests—we are still receiving messages about how amazing it was. Chef Eoin and team are incredibly talented. Our experience in London at the food tasting was also a highlight and gave us a nice excuse for us to have a weekend away together to celebrate getting married, and once again the team there were fantastic.
Every detail of the wedding was just perfect, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Walking into the venue on the day and seeing everything exactly as we had imagined—enhanced with their own beautiful touches—was just breathtaking.
The venue itself is truly something special, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated in such a wonderful setting between the hotel and the Deerpark Inn. From the night before welcoming us and our families to the Deerpark Inn to get the celebrations started with a group of 30 people, to the morning of the wedding, when Maria looked after us calming any nerves, to the wedding day itself which was ran smoothly and magnificently by Ciaran, Margot, and team, and then to our second-day celebrations back at the Deerpark for 70 of our guests, the level of service we experienced was beyond anything we imagined.

Everything from the minute we arrived to the minute we left was absolutely faultless.
Ours guests were blown away by the food, the attention to every single detail, the seamless and punctual flow to the whole day and every single staff member from those in the Deerpark Inn on Thursday to those we met at breakfast yesterday - absolutely amazing.

From the very beginning, the team at Virginia Park Lodge were incredible. Margot and Ciaran were especially amazing.. so kind, calm, and helpful throughout the whole process. In the lead-up, they made everything feel easy and took so much stress out of the planning. On the weekend itself, the staff went above and beyond. From the night before at the beautiful Deerpark Inn right through to the end of day two, they looked after us and our families so well. Nothing was ever a problem, and we felt completely at ease the entire time.
The venue itself is stunning. It’s a beautiful house and grounds and we were lucky with the weather so we got to use the gardens for our ceremony, which made it even more special. The dinner venue is gorgeous too - it all worked perfectly across the weekend. So many of our guests told us afterwards that it was the best wedding venue they’ve ever been to.
Finally the food… absolutely incredible. The tasting beforehand in London was 5 stars and on the day it was even better. Every course was amazing and months later, our guests are still talking about it!
It really was the happiest few days of our lives and we’re so grateful to everyone at Virginia Park Lodge for making it all so special.

We both live locally to Virginia & Virginia Park Lodge had always been our dream wedding venue. During our viewing we fell even more in love with the Lodge & the team were all so friendly & helpful. We had our ceremony on site and had beautiful options for both an outdoor & indoor ceremony. A huge bonus for us was being able to have the meal and band in the pavilion and how our guests then moved back into the main house for the DJ which meant no waiting for setting up etc, which created such a lovely flow to the day. It's amazing how different the lodge feels at night and the DJ area really feels like moving into a club for dancing the night away.
The team were amazing to deal with & knew every little detail inside out from our playlist for during the meal to our drinks reception cocktails that we had chosen. No detail was forgotten and we truly had the most perfect day which ran so smoothly with zero stress all thanks to the amazing team at the Lodge. Thanks again for making our day so special & we can't wait to return again to celebrate. The Lodge will always be such a special place for us both.

My wife and I got married in Virginia Park Lodge in May 2024. Richard, Deirdre, Ciaran, Margot, and all of the staff in Virginia made us feel right at home from the very moment we first went to view the venue. It was such a pleasure working with the VPL team in the year leading up to our big day, and they made sure to make sure the wedding day itself went exactly how we wanted it to go. They had a huge role to play in helping make our wedding day we will never forget. And of course it goes without saying that we are still getting compliments about the food to this day, it was absolutely fantastic!
Now whenever we hear of soon to be married couples looking at different venues, Virginia Park Lodge is top of our recommendations list, and always will be! We really cannot thank them enough for making our day so special to us!

Words cannot describe how much we loved our wedding at Virginia Park Lodge. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and exactly how we’d imagined. The attention to detail was amazing, from the turn down service when we were out of our rooms, to the staff knowing us by name and always checking in on us, we were treated like complete royalty.
Working in event management as my day job, my wedding day was always going to have high expectations and so many of my family and friends worried I wouldn’t be able to switch off, but I felt so much trust in the team and it meant so much knowing everything was taken care of and so perfect.
This venue is simply amazing, our guests were made to feel so welcome and everyone loved the comfy beds! The food too, oh my god!! So many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had.
We really cannot thank the team enough for all the important roles they played in what was truly the best day of our lives. We’re feeling sad it’s all over, but so grateful for an unforgettable time.

We stayed in the Castle the night before and celebrated our second day at the charming Deer Park Inn. Both venues added such a magical touch to the weekend. The Lodge truly felt like our own, and a special thank you must go to Jean, who looked after us throughout the weekend. She made my mother feel like a guest of honor, which was such a lovely touch.
Margot, Ciaran, and Deirdre are true experts in their field, and the day ran smoothly thanks to their impeccable planning and attention to detail. We got married at VPL on 20/04/24. From the day we viewed the place in March 2023, we fell in love and Ciaran and Margot could not have done more for us. They really put us at ease. This was so important to avoid any worry on the lead up and on our special day, especially being a type A bride like myself who worries! They took care of absolutely everything and we had an absolute ball. We had our day 2 at the lodge too. We are still getting raving reviews from all our friends about how nice the place was, how good the staff were and how good the food was. Jean, Ciara and Silo run a tight shift and absolutely no one was left wanting for anything. All we need now is to be invited to a wedding at VPL so we can enjoy it all over again. Everything about this venue is so impressive - we held our wedding here last year and every little detail was just amazing! The staff went above and beyond throughout all the planning and then on the day itself every single person we dealt with was fantastic. The gorgeous venue with the statement floral displays, cosy rooms and attention to detail everywhere just make it so impressive. It was also such a bonus having all guests stay on site! Couldn't recommend more!

Genuinely hard to know where to start in regard to us leaving a review for Virginia park Lodge. It’s difficult to put into words how special our wedding was - and a large part of it was down to VPL and most importantly their staff. VPL is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and quaint venues in Ireland (I viewed quite a few!) but what really makes it is the level of service they provide and the quality of produce from the absolutely incredible food, to the interiors and decoration, right down to minor details such as smells in each room - all of which we noted and appreciated so much. They leave nothing to chance.
Then there’s the staff - Deirdre runs an amazingly tight and professional ship anchored by Ciaran and Margot who we have to mention.
Ciaran is the most calming man we’ve ever met! But by god does he keep an eye on everything and keep things moving as well as being a superb MC who creates an electric atmosphere - an uber, polished professional.
Then there’s Margot, who is just an absolute gem who is fantastic at what she does but equally a really lovely person who became a friend to us over a short period of time. She is a huge asset to VPL - nothing is an issue, and she knows what you need/want before you do yourself. A true superstar.
Not to forget Laura who looked after all of our accommodation and was just fantastic and what a personality to have front of house.
And Silo - he spent most of the dinner chasing Sonny and I to sit down for the next course but all done with a smile. A lovely person with a big future ahead.
And finally Dave, the barman. So many of our guests commended him. It takes a special skill to do what he does.
Overall - we can’t fault VPL. It holds a very special place in our hearts.

Virginia Park Lodge was the wedding venue of our dreams. We attending an initial scheduled wedding showcase appointment and was immediately sold, but not by the luxurious, stylish venue and detailed interiors, or by the beautiful gardens and grounds, or by the delicate and delicious gourmet afternoon tea and treats. It was the team that got won us over and helped make the final decision for us.
The guided tour by Jean, and the constant greetings and little chats we had with the staff made us feel welcome and at ease. Everyone on-site had a positive, excited and energetic buzz. During our subsequent visits, we were delighted to see the team each time, and even more so when even the house-keeping staff remembered our names, and chatted to us like friends or family. The genuine attention to detail and sense of home-coming was what we hoped for when choosing our wedding venue. And VPL really delivered that feeling of warmth.
Brainstorming sessions with Ciar?n, Ciara, Edson and Deirdre were always invaluable. They really encouraged us with our ideas, and provided guidance and support to realise our vision for the big day!
As self proclaimed foodies we must admit that the food was incredible. Being massive fans of Richard Corrigan we always knew that the food would be great, but even still it really blew us away! Chef Eoin and the team really went above and beyond. We loved our tours of the vegetable patch and poly-tunnels, and I really appreciate the lengths they went to ensure our guests with food requirements were well looked after. Our friends could not believe how well they were catered for, and have not experienced this high level of standard outside of Dubai! Which I believe is a compliment. We are even considering printing photographs of the food for our wedding book. Special mention to Tjaart for the immaculate service and the attention to detail throughout. He really listens to what we wanted to achieve and always came back with great problem solving ideas! He was one of many MVPs.
Thank you to Catherine for keeping us calm and organised during the lead up to the wedding and noting all our requests!
If possible, we recommend doing the night before rehearsal family banquet - it was really worth it! Again, the food was fabulous. But not only that, we felt the night before rehearsal really allowed us to relax and ease into the big day ahead, and gave us time to have more intimate moments with our closest friends and family. Again, highly recommend!
We cannot wait for our future visits to Virginia Park Lodge to celebrate anniversaries and many more important milestones.

I was my own wedding planner so they were also very easy to talk to when I had any questions or concerns. I can't thank them enough! We were supposed to get married in 2020 and they worked with us till we got married in 2022.

Everything was fabulous on the day. We did not know until three weeks before the wedding that the manager had changed and only found out because I phoned. We did meet before the big day and I was reassured and was given lots of time. I did not meet a manager upon check out which was disappointing as we did not and still not receive a final breakdown of costs, etc. On the day, the staff and service were amazing. Particularly, the waitresses were so friendly. The meal was outstanding and the decor at Christmas was like a fairytale. It was a fabulous venue for our wedding and I only wish I could taste the meal again!

A stunning location and venue for a wedding. Every room has character and the house feels like your home for the day. Incredibly attentive staff and exceptional quality food. Our challenge in planning was communication. Perhaps a wedding planner is recommended to help in this regard. Accommodation booking needs modernisation to ensure inevitable changes to the guest list are seamless. Overall a fabulous venue and team. Recommend especially booking a pre wedding/ or after wedding night as one day felt too short.

As soon as we walked into the lodge we knew this was the venue for us. Everything about it is incredible, it looks and even smells amazing, the grounds are gorgeous to explore, and all the rooms, including the cute woodland huts, are lovely. The staff and level of service we received on the weekend cannot be faulted. It was a real pleasure to work with them and we were made to feel very at ease. From breakfast to dinner, the food was all FANTASTIC. We have had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed it and how sad they were to leave - we just want to do the whole thing again!

We only viewed Virginia Park Lodge for our wedding. From initial impressions, no other venue would offer us the homely characteristics of the lodge and the organic menu choice sealed the deal. The staff were very attentive from start to finish, no stone was left unturned. At breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snacking times, no one had to ask for anything as the staff had every detail thought of. The two day affair went swimmingly and all guests who had been prior were delighted and those who hadn't been, thought it was one of the best wedding venues they'd been to.

It has been quite a few weeks now and we are still in awe of the most incredible wedding we had at Virginia Park Lodge, which well and truly surpassed all our expectations. Virginia Park Lodge is a dream! We loved our special day there in August 2019 - between the food, the gorgeous accommodations and amazing lodge interior you couldn't ask for more. The only thing that made Virginia Park Lodge exceptional for us getting married there was their wedding co-ordinator Ciaran Whelan. He was running the entire wedding during difficult times for them with staffing etc.
If it wasn't for his professionalism and organisation after his take over on the week before our wedding, the week leading up to our wedding would have been very stressful. The whole experience of the food tasting was fabulous in London.
I rate VPL 5 stars for Ciaran only!
Food was beautiful, venue is fabulous but service leading up the our wedding was extremely poor as we had about 7 port of calls and different people contacting us about silly issues that were solved between their own staffing. Their lack of communication within their staff and with ourselves was very stressful but Ciaran pulled it altogether. Our guests were unable to get in contact with the lodge to reserve accommodation which was annoying as most of our extremely large wedding guest list had to stay in local B&B's.
However, it was a magical day and the most special all thanks to Ciaran.

We viewed a couple of venues for our wedding in August and we loved Virginia Park Lodge as soon as we arrived. Kate Carolan showed us around and she and Deirdre Corrigan were lovely to deal with throughout the whole process. The idea of having the place to ourselves on the day and be able to accomodate all of our guests overnight was a big plus for us. We also really loved the outdoor setting and the pavilion is just beautiful. The location of the band (tucked away behind a curtain for set up) and the fact that the bar is in the same room was also a plus compared to other venues. Without doubt the highlights on the day were the exceptional service from the VPL team - they thought of everything and were so pleasant too, and of course the food! I would highly recommend Virginia Park Lodge as a wedding venue. If we were to do it all again, we'd certainly return

Firstly the venue is beautiful and has spectacular views its a very romantic venue and you are made feel it's your home for the wedding but of course the team always make the difference.
Some highlights for the team: Steve was instrumental on the day thank you for being there for us, ensuring the day went smoothly. You were seamless at being there but your presence not being noticed, you are an absolute pro and I couldn't imagine the day going as well.
Keiran, was so kind and a support to me throughout the day and you have a very special way of making everyone feel relaxed in your presence.
Eoin the chef and his team presented beautiful food,They absolutely surpassed our (sky high) expectations and the food was commented by our guests as being the best they have had !
Hilary, is some woman,Your passion, energy and creativity is remarkable. You went above and beyond for us I won't forget this.
Last but not least Deirdre I would rarely used the word ?perfect? but our wedding day was and VPL were absolutely apart of this. The venue is the best Ireland offers and I have been to many ! I would highly recommend each future bride visit VPL..

We knew Virginia Park lodge was the wedding venue for us the minute we arrived. We went to their wedding showcase in January and we were blown away by the beauty of the lodge and the meticulously managed grounds and even on a winter's day the sun was shining across Lake Ramor. The staff were extremely welcoming and were extremely helpful. We had the pleasure of meeting Deirdre, who was so accommodating from the word go. We thoroughly enjoyed our food tasting in Bentleys in London which was an incredible experience. We worked alongside Deirdre, Donna, Kieran and Stephen in the lead up to our big day and we couldn't have been happier with how everything worked out. As Clich? as it may seem, it really was the most spectacular day. From the d?cor in the lodge, the flower arrangements by Hillary, the delicious food freshly prepared like no other wedding food before, there is nothing we would have changed about VPL as our wedding venue. We could not recommend it enough!

We organised a super complex international destination wedding over 3 days and Virginia Park Lodge, and the staff, made it all come together perfectly. Ciaran and Deirdre were instrumental in ensuring everything went smoothly into and on the day, working closely with our exceptional wedding planner Amy Shannon. As we were organising an Indian wedding, there were certain idiosyncratic requests that Ciaran and Deirdre were very accommodating with. Hillary did an exceptional job of making one of the most beautiful wedding canopy, using the tree trunks as pillars and fresh flowers to decorate. It is a real plus having an in house florist at the venue who really understands how to maximise the wow factor.
The grounds are stunning, and extend over 100 acres and meant there was always somewhere to explore for our guests. We held different parts of the wedding in different parts of the venue, from the Lavender Garden, to the Sunken Garden to the Polytunnel to the magnificent house itself ? it really does feel like four venues all rolled into one. The whole experience felt elegant and high end without feeling stuffy. It felt cosy and intimate which is exactly what we wanted. For us, we especially looked to a venue where the vast majority of our guests could stay on site, and VPL were able to accommodate 100+ people which allowed for a more intimate and fun weekend for everyone. The major selling point of VPL is the food, and having Richard Corrigan able to fly in to cook for us and our guests was one of the most unique and enjoyable talking points. I think every one of the guests left having their mind blown in every sense of the word!

Firstly I want to start by saying how beautiful this venue is. The grounds are stunning and the lodge itself is luxurious and homely, we especially loved having the fires on around the lodge. We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect wedding venue.
The staff were fantastic from start to finish. Chris looked after us whilst we were there, he was friendly, organised and ensured that the whole weekend ran smoothly. He listened to what we wanted and helped us decide on the best way to do things...he sure knows his stuff! The bar staff were great, especially Ray who remembered everyone's drinks. They were really accommodating and played my music on all 3 nights. Jean looked after me on the wedding day and she was so calm and lovely and was on hand to bring us anything we needed.
All our guests commented on how delicious the food was throughout the weekend, from breakfast, to the wedding day to the bbq the day after. The guests also commented on how smoothly the day ran, the timings ran to perfection and the whole day was seemless. Nothing we asked was too much trouble. I honestly couldn't fault this as a wedding venue, if you want the wedding of your dreams, this is the place!

Virgina Park Lodge is a truly special venue. From start to finish the service was impeccable. The staff are absolutely fantastic and a pleasure to deal with. The venue is beautiful, the quality of accommodation is excellent. Needless to say the food is phenomenal. Their in house florist is so talented and really amazing and all couples marrying here should use her.

We cannot recommend Virginia Park Lodge highly enough. Our wedding was a dream - the staff were wonderful - friendly + professional + everything ran so smoothly. To say the food was exceptional, is an understatement. Lots of our guests said it was the best banquet food they had ever eaten (that shellfish consomme - total wow!) The venue is stunning, the service impeccable and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

We were drawn to Virginia Park Lodge by the exclusive use of the venue for the day and the beautiful house, grounds and reception.
The staff on the day were incredible, everything was taken care of without us needing to even think of it. We couldn't thank Deirdre, Nick and the whole staff for the ease of the day.

Virgina Park Lodge is such a beautiful location and the food was outsanding. Deirdre and her team were a pleasure to deal with, they made the planning and co-ordination of our weekend stress free. We can't recommend them enough.

We had an absolutely stunning time in VPL. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the whole place seemed like a fairytale. I have not heard one bad thing so far from any of our guests and in fact we repeatedly had people telling us that VPL was the best wedding venue they had ever been to.
We had a rehearsal dinner the night before which was beautiful and the way the table and room was set up was truly something to behold.
The staff in VPL were all so friendly but a special mention is due to the barman Ray who was an absolute gentleman and was still so pleasant when people were ordering drinks at 4am!
The meal at the reception was first class and while there was no choice on the menu all dietary requiements were met.
VPL has grown and developed hugely since we first booked the venue almost 18 months ago. When we booked, very few of our friends and guests had really heard of the venue so we feel like we are extremely lucky that we had our wedding in Ireland's best kept secret! Would recommend to any future couples for a 5 star experience

Virginia Park Lodge was everything we wanted for our wedding and more. Almost a year on and our guests still rave about Richard Corrigan's food, especially the beef wellington. One of the main reasons for choosing the venue was the fantastic high-quality but hearty food that Richard cooks and the fact that all the produce is either grown in the gardens or sourced locally.
Deirdre, Bl?ith?n and all the staff were more than helpful from the very first day we went to view the house and were happy to help with any requests we had, nothing was ever an issue.
When we drove up the tree-lined avenue of the Lodge on our wedding day we could relax as we knew the team had everything in hand. The Lodge itself is beautifully restored and guests loved mingling, relaxing and later partying in the reception rooms of the house. The shepherds huts provided a unique stay for some of our friends while older guests loved the downstairs family wing in the main Lodge.
The only downside is we had to leave when it was all over!

Firstly, my husband and I were thrilled with our wedding at VPL in Oct 2017 and we still look back on it as the best day of our lives to date. We booked out the venue for a rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, dinner and dancing. The venue, food and service were all immaculate throughout the two-day event. I docked a star for responsiveness and professionalism on this survey because there were a few small issues related to organising the accommodation on the run up to the event. I don't think it was intentional as the staff really strive to do their best and in hindsight I think the real issue is that although our wedding day was the most important (and probably most expensive) event in our lives and all we could think about a year in advance, it was just another function in the future for the staff. They were likely working on more urgent events scheduled to occur closer to the time. To be specific, the only frustrating aspect of our wedding planning was related to accommodation. VPL doesn't use a shared document to track rooming arrangements or room changes, rather it relies on spreadsheets emailed back and forth. It was not surprising then that some updates were missed. We also found that new rooms/room configurations were added without any heads-up and sometimes we were waiting for a while for an explanation. All that said, everything worked out well in the end. All in all, VPL staff provided a super service, price per head for meals was worth it for the quality and tastiness of the meals served. Everything down to logistics and timetables for our event were superbly coordinated while we were on site. I can't recommend the venue enough. It's beyond beautiful and the village itself is really charming.

The most amazing venue with wonderful staff. We cannot say enough about the lodge. It surpassed all our expectations. Deirdre is the most amazing coordinator/manager/planner. She made everything so easy for us on the day. The food is outstanding and over a year later people still talk about it all the time. Stunning venue, worth every penny. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The most wonderful wedding venue, I still have friends messaging me about how incredible our day was. The food is impeccable as is the service from all of the amazing staff. From start to finish we were so well looked after, I wish I could do it again and again. Stop searching and book Virginia Park Lodge, you will not regret it.

Virgina park lodge was so professional from the very first moment we viewed it the staff were fantastic on the day nothing was too small or big they can't do enough for you and your guests I had the most amazing day with the help of the virgina park lodge deirdre and Alison can't do enough from start to finish we had our flowers done by hillary in the park lodge and they were out if this world she decorated the house beautifully she went beyond to make it everything I wanted thru out the house and the church they take so much stress away from you and they help with everything any part of your wedding they will help with we couldn't recommended the park lodge enough they were the best our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful it was the food omg gorgeous and the service well they all said it was the best they have ever had xxx

Genuinely VPL was amazing from start to finish! The venue is obviously stunning and the food is incredible but it was the staff that made our wedding weekend! Deirdre Corrigan was amazing on the day and throughout the planning process, nothing we wanted was trouble or an issue! Our friends and family had a really great time which was our main priority for our wedding. I couldn't recommend Virginia park lodge enough :)

Arranged celebration from overseas. Deirdre and team were so helpful, helped us have things the way we wanted, even if not typical and so more difficult for them. Accommodated requests from family also to give us a surprise on the day. Staying a second night is highly recommended. ?Simple? family meal the next day was almost as good as the day itself.

We knew this would be a special place from the minute we drove through the gates. We have so many good things to say about Virginia Park Lodge and its wonderful staff. It was exactly the venue we were looking for - classy but with a relaxed atmosphere, somewhere with character, somewhere that served amazing food and offered an incredible service. Our guests have raved about this magical place ever since. Deirdre, Karine and the team were wonderful to work with - full of energy and enthusiasm - nothing was ever too much trouble and they made you feel that you were the only couple having a wedding in their venue (even though we know they had one every week). Words cannot describe how incredible Richard's food was the entire weekend. You don't often see a Beef Wellington being served to over 130 people to such a high standard. The flowers prepared by Hilary were so beautiful - we were over the moon with them. We had such an amazing time here and we will hold the fondest memories of our special day with family and friends in Virginia Park Lodge forever. Thank you!

Richard's team at VPL are professional, efficient and friendly. Since our wedding we have had countless comments from our guests saying not just how amazing the venue was and how the food surpassed even the highest expectation but how every guest was made to feel superbly welcome at this unique venue.
We are so pleased we selected Virginia Park Lodge, they really did give us a perfect day. We can't recommend them highly enough.

We were extremely fortunate to have chosen Virginia Park Lodge for our wedding venue and am very glad that we did. The team could not have been more helpful in both the build up to and over the wedding weekend. The venue itself was superb and we had so many compliments on the quality of the food and service not only for the wedding feast itself, but the family feast the evening before, the bar-b-que on Sunday and breakfasts each day - it was really first class.
The venue itself has undergone major refurbishment and the quality of rooms and furnishings in the main lodge were of a very high standard. While there is ongoing work to do in the cottages, it is clear that the commitment and ongoing investment by the owners will make this one of the best wedding venues in Ireland!
The grounds are lovely and provide a great setting for photographs including the fabulous views over the lake, The option of having an outdoor service in the Lavender Garden is also a nice feature but the fact that the whole venue is located within a working organic vegetable farm that provides the very freshest ingredients as part of the wedding feast, grown and hand picked on site, is really something quite unique.

Spectacular in every way.. Cant recommend it enough.
The whole experience was amazing. The food was fantastic and considering the size of our guest list it was quiet the achievement to maintain the standard throughout.

We had literally the best weekend of our lives (our son was born on a Wednesday so that doesn't count!). From the word go when we checked in to The Deer Park Inn, to when we were checking out on the Monday, every member of staff was so kind and not a thing that was asked was beyond them. Our only sadness was that we couldn't stay longer!
The food was spectacular and has been one of the most commented upon things of the whole weekend. Every bite was delicious, and we had some very discerning guests!
Each member of staff made us feel so welcome and made us feel like the house was ours. I think one of our guests summed it up by saying that on the welcome card that held the key to his room, Richard had written that he wanted it to feel like your home while you are staying, and it certainly felt that way.
I'll spell and get names wrong here but Jean at breakfast, Igli (?) in the Inn, Lynn on the desk and to both of the guys running the service at dinner whose names escape me, deserve special mention for being so kind and utterly professional.
Our thanks to Margot in particular on the day of the wedding, you took all the stress away the moment we arrived and we were then able to concentrate on having fun (which we had far too much of!)
You have created something truly spectacular at Virginia Park Lodge and I hope you are all very proud of that.
Please pass this on to Richard as I would really like him to know how well run the Lodge is and how fantastic his staff are.
We hope to be back at some point in the future but on behalf of Ciara, Harry and myself and on behalf of our families and guests, thank you all so much for helping us have a wonderful weekend that we will remember forever.
