Facebook: West Cork HotelDECISIONS, DECISIONS[phone removed];RELAX would you? The biggest decision has already been made [phone removed];i.e. you know WHO you are going to marry, and WHY.Deciding WHERE, should, by comparison, be easier.But, somehow, given the range of choices now available, this decision is becoming increasingly FRAUGHT[phone removed];. Just a few years ago, BUDGETS dictated [phone removed]; certain hotels were, quite simply, beyond the reach of mere mortals. However, the downturn in the economy has intensified competition: There is now better value, and more choices, than ever before (and all of them seem to be promising red-carpets, kir/champagne cocktails, COMPLIMENTARY this, that, and the other).So, before you make a decision, you need to TAKE A BREATH, and break it down: What you really want is MEMORIES that can be cherished. You want to know you will looked after, properly. That your family and friends will also be taken care of, in a way that is memorable and WONDERFUL. Yes, of course, you also want value for money, unrivalled photo-ops, great food, relaxed and friendly service: But, to be honest, in BEAUTIFUL West Cork, we take such things almost as a given.What you really need is to look down from the top-table and see people SMILING. And here[phone removed];s the deal: At The West Cork Hotel, Skibbereen, we[phone removed];ve been making brides, grooms and their parties, young and old, smile, laugh, and even shed some tears of JOY. Since [phone removed]. We[phone removed];re old hands at it, albeit in a beautifully refurbished hotel. By a lovely, gently-wending river.But don[phone removed];t just take our word for it. Here[phone removed];s what just two of our very recent guests [phone removed]; one bride, one groom - had to say:Melanie O[phone removed]; Donovan ([phone removed]) from London, and David Mullaney ([phone removed]) from West Cork were married in Gaggin, near Bandon, on [phone removed]thSeptember [phone removed], and held their reception for [phone removed] people at the West Cork Hotel:[phone removed];[phone removed];It was fantastic. A really great day. It went without a hitch which was amazing when you consider we were living in London, and the whole thing was organised on our behalf by the Hotel. And our friends, many of whom had never been to West Cork, just loved it. In fact, there will be a lot of them going back! They were talking about the food and the service for weeks after[phone removed];[phone removed];Melanie[phone removed];s parents are originally from West Cork, and David is from Ballinahassig. On their frequent trips home, both he and Melanie checked out several hotels capable of dealing with such a large wedding party.[phone removed];But to be honest, once we saw The West Cork Hotel, and once we sat down with Charlie [General Manager, Charlie Costelloe] and saw the kind of attention to detail, and the wonderful menus, that he was offering, well, that was it. We knew right away[phone removed];[phone removed];
