The French are undeniably chic in both their style and their attitude. Todays wedding from Angers, France is beautifully styled and elegantly laid-back, we’re delighted to share Alix and Quentin’s wedding day captured by Paul Napo.
Alix and Quentin met during a friends party but barely spoke to each other. When they bumped into each other a few months later things went very differently and they became a couple. The couple who both come from and live in Angers, France got engaged on a small island near Guadalupe in a small fisherman’s cabin on the beach.
For Alix and Quentin the food, wine and photographer were the most important parts of their wedding day, as well as adding extra charm to their reception venue.
“The church celebration was a very powerful moment for us, having had a very intense preparation with the priest for a year. And for the big day, we had some musician friends who participated in making our wedding mass even more amazing. Also, the best man’s speech was really quite something!” explained Alix.
Alix wore a simple gown that she had chosen from a store in Paris. “I found my dress in Paris, one year before the wedding, in a shop called “Dressing Club”. I was there with my pregnant sister, and when I tried the third dress… we immediately knew it was the one,” added Alix.
“It was an absolutely magical day. We felt like we were floating in an ocean of happiness (well, Quentin was still a little stressed out in the morning!). It really was “The Best Day of our Lives”, and it came as quite a surprise to us!” said Alix.
Alix’s Advice
Enjoy every little moment with your families while you prepare your wedding. Those are great moments together. And for the big day, remember to delegate! This way you will have more time to enjoy everything that’s going on.
