Rita and Bryan got engaged in Sallys Gap in Killarney!

“My now husband pretended to take a photo of me and looked around and there he was with the ring, all being recorded on video! It was my 30th birthday and we went to stay in The Europe Hotel as a nice treat.”

“I loved the rustic/vintage look with a touch of elegance so that was my main theme with baby pink colour for bridesmaid dress.”

Rita wore flowers in her hair as a high volume up style. Her bridesmaid wore a low bun upstyle with a simple makeup look.

Rita’s mother wore a fitted elegant dress, styled with a hat to match. Bryan’s mother wore baby blue with a hat to match. The bridesmaid was dressed in pink.

They describe their wedding ceremony as ‘simple and not much fuss’.

“We didn’t want a long ceremony and didn’t want guests sitting for too long.”

“We got married in the fabulous Faithlegg Hotel where the grounds were lovely. We had out drinks reception outside and although it rained during the day it kept all our guests together. There was a covered area and hotel staff had umbrellas for guests ready and waiting. The food and staff were excellent. I had lots of my own decor items which was no issue for the staff the night before and set the place all up exactly how I wanted it.”

The wedding was beautifully captured by Precious Memories on both photo and video!

“We had a great photographer who took lots of shots of us and our guests in groups. Our videographer gave a brilliant calm and energetic vibe on the morning of the wedding. He recorded all the moments of our singing chef which we were so pleased about.”

They had a singing chef for entertainment as dessert was being served and the guests loved it. It got everyone over the food slump and ready to dance and in the mood to party for the night! They also had a brilliant band who kept everyone on the floor all night.

For favours, they got scratch cards and wrapped them up in small cards.

Rita shares her favourite memory from the day:

“The singing chef and all our guests enjoying the fun!”

Rita and Bryan’s wedding advice is simple but super helpful:

“Take it step by step and everything will fall into place. Work and communicate together.”
