A Rustic Wedding With Lavender, Purple and Pops of Pink

“We wanted a rustic theme decor and the girls from Sheen Flowers outdid themselves with the flowers and decor outside the venue. We decided to have lavender, purple and a pop of pink to brighten things up.”
Couple: Michael and Chloie Mc Knight
Engagement length: 10 years
Wedding date: 2021-09-30
Wedding location: Annebrook House Hotel Mullingar

Michael and Chloie met through a friend on a night out. On Christmas morning, after being together for two years, Michael popped the question!
“Where do I start? The day was magical from start to finish! We wanted everything natural, just like how we met. We wanted a rustic theme decor and the girls from Sheen Flowers outdid themselves with the flowers and decor outside the venue. We decided to have lavender, purple and a pop of pink to brighten things up. The meal was absolutely fantastic and the Annebrook put on an amazing spread. The music was out of the world! The Big Kahuna Party Band had the dance floor filled for the night. I’d say there were plenty of people whose feet were aching because they danced so much.”
Chloie wore an Enzoani Marlyssa A-line gown from The White Room in Mullingar. It had a crystal encrusted belt for her pop of bling. Michael wore a beautiful checked waistcoat and a navy suit with brown brogues.
The bridesmaids wore a Maya dress from Pamela Scott, with silver sequins to add sparkle. The groomsmen wore all navy suits with brown shoes.
“We wanted a more romantic feel for our ceremony because it was a small church. We chose the church because it tied in with our rustic theme. The ceremony was really heartfelt, with emotions from both sides at an all time high. The priest made some beautiful prayers and when we exchanged vows, smiles and tears were shed.”

“The Annebrook House Hotel did a fantastic job. Orla, the wedding coordinator, went out of her way for the whole day for us. She greeted us with a big smile and beautiful words as we walked in. The old house was full of scones, tea and chocolate fountain, with guests laughing!”

“Our photographer, Eddie, would put anyone in great form. He was so quick, quiet and discreet, I forgot he was there at times. He took photos at ease and he even managed to lend those skills with helping the groomsmen with their ties in the morning.”

“Don’t stress! It will all fall into place. Things happen, but they happen for a reason. Do what’s for you and what your gut tells you, don’t do it for others. Do what makes you happy and don’t stress too much.”
