Kelsey and Laurence met through his brother, Kelsey’s best friend!

“I planned a surprise party for his 30th birthday, little did I know he had a bigger surprise planned for me!”

They planned an intimate wedding with just family and close friends.

“Our colour was dusty blue. We just kept it simple and easy going which I think made the day so much better. No big fusses, just all fun.”

Kelsey wore a champagne coloured dress with ivory lace and a long train. She had her hair down and curled and a long veil.

Laurence wore a brown and beige suit which went perfectly together! And his tie and pocket square tied in with the colour scheme as it had flecks of the blue going through it.

The groomsmen wore matching suits with the groom except in navy and blue, and the bridesmaids wore beautiful dusty blue dresses.

They describe their wedding ceremony as “Small, beautiful and funny!!”

“We had readings by both mothers and we prepared our own vows. It was simple and perfect.”

They hosted their wedding ceremony and reception at Annebrook House Hotel!

“The staff were amazing!! Nothing was too big an ask. We had the old house for the day, ceremony upstairs, reception in the living rooms which was so lovely and dinner in the old house restaurant which I cannot fault. Pat, the restaurant manager, to say he was a gent is an understatement!! So attentive and made such a fuss over us, him and his staff were brilliant! And the food!!!!!!!”

The festivities were captured wonderfully by Gin from Macephotos.

“He was brilliant! The photos turned out unbelievable and he made it so fun! If you don’t like getting photos taken not to worry, we didn’t stop laughing and having a ball for the entire process! He even went as far as entertaining the kids during speeches by showing them his cameras and drone! Went above and beyond expectations.”

To entertain their guests, they had the band Broken Strings, who played all night!

“They didn’t stop all night, the got involved with the party. The songs were brilliant but the highlight was when they turned old McDonald had a farm into an absolute banger! For my 2 year old niece who was living it up on the dance floor! And the nicest bunch of lads!!”

Kelsey’s favourite memory from the day is hilarious!

“…When my now husband started his vows with ‘I’d like to couple up with this girl because…'”

Newlyweds give brilliant wedding planning advice! This is what Kelsey said:

“Don’t sweat the small stuff! Sounds cliche I know but seriously the day does go by in a flash so just take in as much as you can and for anyone on the fence about a big or small wedding, go small! We got to actually spend our day with the people we love, not bounce from table to table and not really getting time to enjoy it. We loved every minute and it was spent together with our nearest and dearest. Oh and something else, take a few minutes for yourselves. When dinner was called, we got a drink and sat upstairs for about 10 minutes just the 2 of us and it was lovely!”
