With so many country houses now opening themselves to host events, Ireland is the perfect setting for a rustic wedding. Inspired by this, Bloomsday Flowers teamed up with some of Cork’s finest wedding suppliers to create this rustic autumnal wedding inspiration shoot.
When choosing your wedding flowers, think about where you’re going to put them. Watering cans, baskets and even old boots make for interesting plant holders and will fit in well with a rustic theme.
Remember, your bouquet doesn’t need to be confined to flowers! We love the use of apples throughout this shoot.
Burnt reds , oranges, yellows and golden brown are the essential colours for an autumnal theme. Keep your bouquet slightly shabby but colourful for a really rustic feel.
Get me to the church on time!
Remember, first impressions last! Leave the limo at home and dust off the vintage car to really rock up in style.
Look around your venue – are there any bare areas that could be decorated and used as a focal point? The set-up in this window almost looks like an oil painting!
Sure it wouldn’t be October unless we saw a bit of barmbrack!
Autumn is the perfect time to get outside and get creative with your wedding pictures. The rich surrounding colours will only emphasise your gorgeous white dress. (Show -off!)
Adding a vintage brooch to the front of your bouquet is a small detail that can make a big difference. You could even make it your ‘something borrowed’ if your mam or gran has nice taste!
