A fun treasure hunt in Barna Woods led Denise, from Galway, and Michael, from Germany, all the way from a ‘Yes’ to an ‘I do’. In one of the most romantic bohemian weddings we’ve ever seen at Mrs2be, an intimate, outdoor ceremony was held under a majestic tree in the green forest at Menlo Castle and beautiful shoot – by the wonderful Johnny Corcoran – followed in the magnificent Silver Strand in Barna Woods.
The couple got engaged in the same forest in which they were married. Michael sent his bride-to-be on a treasure hunt around the woods to find her ring. They spent their engagement planning an intimate, bohemian wedding together, focusing on a beautiful setting and a romantic ceremony with their closest friends.
The couple found that the highlights of their day were the simple things – exactly everything they had wanted when planning their day. “Getting married at our dream location with the sun shining and our favorite people around us,” they say was their favourite part of their wedding.
Denise’s dress was by one of our favourite bridal designers, Rembo Styling, which she purchased in a bridal store in Cologne. The light, airy and impossibly pretty tea-length lace gown was absolutely ideal for the style of the day and was perfectly styled with a pair of cute cowboy boots. “Our dress code was bohemian,” says the bride. “We both like that style and wanted something less formal.” Michael (we’re sure you’ll agree) looked super cute in his casual attire, with awesome braces and a cool flat cap to finish his look.
What a stunning, intimate wedding!
The couple went on a roadtrip to Northern Ireland for their honeymoon – which is just the perfect getaway for a boho style wedding, right?!
“Do exactly what you want to do and don’t let anybody else tell you otherwise. It is YOUR day!”
