5. I find there’s nothing more helpful than a straight talker when it comes to wedding planning and Algarve Weddings haven’t held back when telling us why planning a wedding abroad isn’t like planning a wedding at home

4. Having gone through that awkward growing-out phase several times, I can sympathise with short-haired brides who’re having trouble trying to figure out the perfect wedding ‘do. I’m loving former Pussycat Doll Kymberly Wyatt’s cute quiffed look over on our sister site’s round up of celeb-inspired hairstyles for short hair. Check it out on Mrs2Be.co.uk

Masai Mara, Kenya

3. I love a bit of escapism and it’s a well known fact that planning a summer holiday can vanquish the January blues. Andre at goHop.ie exlpains to us why 2014 is going to be the year of the “maximoon” and lets us in on the top three destinations that newlyweds are booking.

Johanna Johnson SS Bridal Show

2. Sometimes I wonder if my grandkids will look back at today’s bridal fashion with the same lust that’s currently being directed towards vintage frocks from the ’20s and ’30s. I’d wear the Johanna Johnson collection that just arrived at Knightsbridge into town and around the house, if I could only get away with it.

groom singing

1. My number one pick from this week has to be the hugely divisive video of Irish groom, Niall Donnelly, singing to his bride as she walked down the aisle. Love it or loathe it, you have to admire this guy’s pluck. Watch the video here and don’t forget to let us know what you think by leaving a comment!
