Smart brides know that flowers are the key accent that add life, vibrancy and atmosphere to any wedding. Flowers can beautifully decorate your venue, add the finishing touch to your groom’s handsome suit, convey your colour scheme and adorn your arm as you take your first step into married life.

A pomander, or kissing ball, is a ball of flowers usually carried by flower girls. We love the elegance and grace a pomander brings to a wedding – a great alternative to traditional bouquets for your little ladies and bridesmaids too. Keep it simple with one overall colour and choice of flower, or go all out with a sweet combo of contrasting flowers and dress with a length of lace for a vintage touch. You could even add twine for a rustic feel. Pomanders work really well as table displays too.

Drape floral garlands over the two most important chairs at the reception, use as a feature along your top table or simply hang them from the ceiling.

The old mantra ‘less is more’ really does work at weddings, even with flowers. This idea using test tubes and pretty blooms is pretty special.

You could forget flowers altogether and go for the mighty succulent! This ‘fat plant,’ as it’s sometimes known, will bring a natural touch to your day and can be dressed alongside classic decor for a modern look, or used in an outdoor setting for a rustic twist. For a plant with such a giggle-worthy name, it’s pretty popular in the world of wedding decor!

Perfectly sphere like hand-tied bouquets have been the bride’s choice for a few years now, but we are loving the almost awkward shaped bouquets beginning to peek through. Consider draping jasmine or ivy from your bouquet for a modern unkempt look.
