Hot Trend Alert! Bridal Jumpsuits

Fashion & Jewellery

Yes, we did just say the bridal jumpsuit is the hottest trend for spring /summer brides! Feeling brave? Read on to find out how to work this season’s chicest bridal fashion.

Thanks to some clever bridal designers and a handful of luxury high street brands, the bridal jumpsuit is an unlikely addition to bridal wear throughout the world this season! Not every bride wants to wear a wedding dress on their big day; some just aren’t dress girls, while others would rather spend their hard earned cash on other areas of their wedding. If this sounds like you, we suggest you give this trend (which we absolutely love) a go.

Pictured above, the Eyelash lace jumpsuit from J Crew was the surprising addition to their spring /summer bridal collection, seamlessly sitting amongst a sea of bridal gowns. Priced at €725 it’s not overly cheap, but we think the delicate lace teamed with ingenious pockets and bow detailing is spot on.

Dutch design duo, Viktor & Rolf recently launched a six piece ‘Marriage’ collection in their pre-spring /summer 2014 collection. In amongst modern cut bridal gowns is this gorgeous stretch crepe jumpsuit with open back and bow detail. Love this for a masculine touch to your nuptials.

If you can’t give up the opportunity to wear a wedding dress, the jumpsuit would make a fantastic alternative for your evening reception, for a slick city destination wedding or to make sure everyone knows who you are at your wedding rehearsal! Imagine this intricate beaded lace jumpsuit from Rivini glistening on the dance floor!

Love the funky disco vibe from Stephanie Allin. So chic and elegant with a modern twist.

Alan Hannah’s Cannes jumpsuit is made from silk slipper satin with a hand beaded belt, retro-tastic!

If you’re really not afraid to mix it up a bit, this fun shimmer sequin romper from J Crew is adorable! If Kylie were to get married on a hot beach, we reckon this is the perfect outfit for her!
We are sold on this alternative idea for a touch of fun to your day. What do you think, could you give up your wedding dress in favour of a bridal jumpsuit? Let us know with a comment below.
