Today’s beautiful destination wedding comes all the way from New South Wales, Australia and as expected is a real beauty! Aliesha and Jonathan were married in the gorgeous gardens of Hunter Valley. We’re delighted to share a little sunshine with you all this Tuesday!
Aliesha and Jonathan were childhood sweethearts and grew up beside each other, getting together when they were 15!
“Jonathan planned a beautiful proposal. The evening started with a helicopter ride to Sydney from the Blue Mountains. We were then driven in a Bentley to the Park Hyatt from the airport. There we had a beautiful degustation dinner in the Dining Room followed by a romantic walk along the harbour where he proposed with the perfect view overlooking all of the lights. My husband is very spontaneous!” said Aliesha.
With their sights set on a beach wedding, the couple began planning and their day slowly evolved into a vineyard wedding but after looking at venues they fell in love with Hunter Valley Gardens.
With a simple and classic ivory and pale pink colour scheme, Aliesha got creative with her place cards as well as the table and seating chart, all whilst pinning lots of ideas!
“I drew my inspiration for my wedding gown from lots of pins on my dream board. Interestingly enough, the dress I ended up with was completely different to what I had imagined but as soon as you see the perfect one, you just know. I fell in love with it, although finding it was quite the process and took many, many shopping trips!” explained Aliesha.
“I can actually say I look back and love all of my memories – of course there were some little hiccups, but I think it made the day pretty special overall. My favourite moment was when my husband and I took the time to go offsite with our photographer, videographer and wedding party between the ceremony and reception to capture some heartfelt shots. For us, it was important to really take in the day and everything that had happened so far and to share in the excitement of the evening ahead with those we love most,” Aliesha added.
