Todays bride, Maggie is a vet so it was only right that her beloved dogs and horse were invited to her wedding to Paul too! Thanks to Will O’Reilly for sharing this beautiful wedding with loads of lovely details we’re swooning over!
Despite only living four miles apart, Maggie and Paul met online in July 2013. Pharmacist Paul didn’t waste too much time and in March the following year he proposed to Maggie on a sunny Sunday morning in Stephens Green with a token ring.
The couple instantly knew where they would like to hold their wedding; Tankardstown House, County Meath.
“We had stayed at Tankardstown the previous November and were really impressed with it. We soon booked it and had a total of 14 weeks to plan our wedding!” said Maggie.
The couple wanted their day to be intimate with their closest family and friends, yet relaxed and casual.
“We had a wonderful day which started for Paul with a helicopter trip around Meath with the boys. The weather was perfect, overcast and dry. Our day was made very special by having our dogs and horse waiting after the ceremony,” explained Maggie.
Maggie wore a slim fitting gown from The White Room in Mullingar, and kept her accessories and veil simple to let the beautiful dress shine. Her bridesmaids wore soft pink gowns, whilst the adorable flower girls wore dresses in powder blue and carried baskets filled with rose petals.
The intimate ceremony was conducted by Eileen Morris, with music provided by Maggie’s family and friends. A drinks reception followed with a string quartet and guests were given time to mingle, relax and enjoy the day.
We love the creative modern touch Maggie and Paul added to their cool table plan! Each table was named after their pets.
Maggie and Paul finished their celebrations with not one but two honeymoons! They firstly went to Lake Annency and Lyon in France, Maggies choice and then on to Lake Garda and Verona for a second week, which was Paul’s choice.
