How did you meet and get engaged?
We met through mutual friends in May 2010.

Describe your wedding:
We went for a more natural look. All our flowers were white and ivory. Our invites, table plan and place names were all carved from wood. Everything was tan and white in color and went absolutely perfect with the venue.

Tell us about your bridal look:
I went for a Jesus Peiro dress and a cathedral veil. My hair was a simple Hollywood wave done by The March Hair and I had Samantha Corcoran do my makeup. I had a red lip and black liner as my stand out points and the rest was very natural.

What did your bridesmaids wear?
My bridesmaids wore a strapless full-length dress in a beige color as I wanted to keep them looking more natural to go with the groomsmen’s suits which were a tan tweed.

What was your ceremony like?
It was so personal. We had 18 of our closest friends and family join us for our ceremony. We had a humanist ceremony done by Ealish Whillock. Claire Heffernan played the harp. We had the tying of the knot as one of our rituals and it is one that everyone will remember it was so beautiful.

Tell us about your wedding venue:
The wedding venue is honestly the most beautiful place for us both. From start to finish the staff and management were absolutely brilliant. From driving up the avenue and looking at the scenery and then up to the castle it just took our breath away. Every room is so unique and that’s what makes it so special that they were all designed so carefully and so much love and thought has gone into the whole building. The gardens really made out photos so perfect and DKPHOTO caught every moment so perfectly.

What is your favourite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory is walking up to Cormac at our ceremony. It was so emotional and the music that Claire was playing on the harp really just made even more special. We could really be so comfortable in the room and not nervous because we so carefully picked who we were going to have in the room with us.

Have you got any advice for other couples?
Just enjoy every moment. There will be days where it honestly does feel so overwhelming but think about the reason you are doing it and it will put it back in perspective. It’s the most important day of your life, so plan it to suit you both.
