Wedding Bathroom Baskets: Here’s What To Put In Yours

Planning & Advice

Small gestures really make a big difference, especially in the world of weddings! This is why wedding bathroom baskets are so fabulous. They’re easy to put together, but your guests will absolutely love them.

You know what it’s like… when you attend an event or wedding and you suddenly realise you need painkillers for a spontaneous headache, a plaster for blisters or a safety pin. Wedding bathroom baskets present an opportunity to really care for your guests and help them out with supplies they may not have on hand.

A few handy tips

Don’t leave the wedding bathroom basket within the reach of children, especially if they’re old enough to go to the bathroom unsupervised. Leave it on a high shelf or ledge. For extra peace of mind with pills, leave empty boxes in the basket with a note inside “see appointed person if you need these” – and don’t forget to designate that person in advance.

Don’t forget to ask the venue if there’s actually space in the bathroom for the basket. Because if there isn’t, where are you going to put it? In fact, check that they allow these baskets – there may be some health and safety issue you’re not aware of.

Don’t buy full-size products – you’ll just be throwing away all that didn’t get used. For things that will be most popular (for example, hairspray), simply buy two or three travel-size cans.

Don’t buy products people wouldn’t normally share. This includes lip balm, hairbrushes, and roll-on anti-perspirants.

Use what you need, and just leave the rest
For it may be useful to some other guest!
Repair the damage that may have been done,
Then hurry back and join in the fun!

Or

If your skin feels dry, your hair out of place,
Your throat is parched, or whatever the case.
We’ve put this together to help you along,
Now get yourself out there before the next song!

If you’re not into that, simply say ‘compliments of the newlyweds’!
