derry for weekend

Was in Belfast last weekend thinking of going to Derry in the next few weeks can any one recommend someplace nice to stay want to stay in walking distance of restraunts and bars. Have been looking at the city hotel the waterfoot or da vincis the waterfoot has very good rates but there is olny one review on trip advisiors can any one help have never been there thanks

Have stayed at the City Hotel and it's fab. Lovely rooms, good food, great service and you can't beat the location. Be sure to go to the Museum of Free Derry - it's amazing!

City Hotel is really nice - us and a group of H2B's family stayed here in Jan for his 30th and we had a great time. Their restaurant is lovely and very reasonable. There's a lovely restaurant called the Mandarin Palace a few mins walk from the hotel http://www.mandarinpalace.net/

The City hotel is ideal as it's city centre. Da vincis is on the outskirts. The Mandarin Palace is fabulous and give a good rate on the euro, it's only around the corner from the City hotel. The Exchange is another excellent restaurant, it's across the road from the hotel. The Ice wharf is a great bar which also serves food during early evenings, it, again is around the corner from the hotel. Across the street from the ice wharf you have the Strand bar which always has a great atmosphere. The museum is great and if your a walker; you will have to walk the city walls! The shopping is good too. It's a great city, you'll enjoy it.
