Nelly is amazing!! After having no luck finding a MUA here on my trip to Puerto Vallarta for a wedding as it was last minute we decided to jsut do our make up ourselves. Well, we were staying at a resort and we decided to go to the pool before we went up to the room to start getting ready. we get our drinks and mom starts talking to these ladies and within 2 mins they start taking about the wedding and she's like oh my daughter does beautiful make up!! She's amazing and then calls Nelly over ?boom within the hour we go upstairs and she's. Not only doing our make up within time of the wedding but for a professional to not have their whole kit and still use what we had and look like we did! AMAzing! Nelly was like part of the family on the morning of my wedding. She worked with good humour and tireless positivity even as we fussed, or messed around. On the run up to the wedding she was a brilliant communicator, and she really worked my vision into the overall look. I wish she could come and do my make up every weekend.

I am so fortunate to have found Nelly. She was wonderful from our first conversation to the last spritz before I left for the church. I cannot say enough about Nelly as a person as well as a makeup artist and hair stylist. I planned my wedding in Dublin from the States which presented many obstacles. However, Nelly worked with me and my schedule and we were able to meet for my hair and makeup trial in between vendor meetings during a quick and hectic trip to Dublin one month before the wedding. She stayed with me longer than expected and until I was perfectly happy with both my hair and makeup. I had airbrush makeup done for the first time and I do not imagine I will ever have normal makeup again for an event in the future. It was amazing -- light, did not smudge, and lasted the entire day (approx. 14 hours).
The morning of the wedding, Nelly came with positivity and patience (I was running late), and perfectly executed everything we had practiced. She was prepared and professional yet very caring at all times. It was clear that her goal was to make me feel beautiful and confident on my wedding day, and she did just that. My husband and I decided to cancel our destination wedding with family and friends and decided to elope to Ireland from California (USA). I don't wear makeup and my hair is usually clipped up or in a ponytail. Granted, I could have made myself look presentable for a night out, this was our wedding day and I wanted the look of old Hollywood glam. I am very particular when it comes to hair and makeup, therefore I looked at a ton of different hair and makeup artists in Ireland. I am also a black woman and wanted to make sure that whomever I chose had experience working with women of color and different hair textures. I reached out to several people and chose to move forward with Nelly. She responded to my emails within 24 hours or less, especially considering there is an 8 hour time difference. She also gave me very reasonable quotes for traveling to my location and for her services. Her contract was extremely fair and she personally addressed all of my questions and concerns in writing should there be any unforeseen issues. Her bride only wedding package included a hair and makeup trial, therefore she was able to do the trial the day before the wedding which was perfect for the photoshoot that we had that day. The application of the airbrushed makeup was not uncomfortable at all and truly weathered the storm as it was literally raining sideways at The Cliffs of Mohr. However, my makeup was still beautiful after all of the wind and rain that hit me in the face. She returned the following day and had an entire vision of how she would apply the makeup and do my hair. Her artistry and level of expertise truly shines and made me feel the most beautiful woman in the world on the day of my wedding. Needless to say, Nelly's professionalism, prompt timing and exceptional quality of service rendered beyond my expectations and if I could do it all over again, I would not hesitate in contacting Airbrush Makeup and Hair by Nelly.
