Blacktye are just amazing. Darragh is so good to deal with and was so good at responding before the wedding and nothing was a bother. They covered our ceremony, drinks, band and DJ. All of our guests praised the music. The dancefloor was full all night and the band really read the crowd to perfection which was excellent. They were just brilliant and so many of our guests have asked about them since. We would highly recommend to any couple for their wedding to look at Blacktye. Thanks again to you all.

From the reception through to the DJ at the end of the night, Darragh and the band were so energetic. Their interaction with our wedding guests and non stop crowd pleasers meant the dance floor was filled the whole night. Their range of songs was nothing short of impressive and a highlight for many of our guests.

We give full freedom of songs for the band to play with just one request for our first dance and they absolutely nailed it which was no easy feat!

Just coming up for air now, relaxing on honeymoon after a busy few weeks but wanted to drop you and all the band a line to say a huge thank you for being so amazing on our wedding day! We never got a chance to see you at one of your showcases but we knew you?d be incredible and you were so easy and pleasant to deal with, nothing was a problem.

From the moment I walked into our ceremony with my Dad and heard Doireann singing it was just incredible, right through to a packed dance floor all night and such a special first dance performance. We had so many compliments from our guests about the music all day, the drinks reception was so chill and beautiful as well.

If someone hasn't booked their wedding band yet they need to book you! 5 stars!

We had Blacktye play at our wedding in April 2023 and they were outstanding in every way.

The performance was spectacular with an excellent set list that had the guests on the dance floor all night (and up on stage with the band a few times)

Darragh was incredibly helpful and always accommodating and also acted as DJ after the band finished and kept things lively all night.

All our guests gave us great feedback that they were the best wedding band they've seen and myself and my wife have to agree. Couldn't recommend more.

Blacktye were brilliant and we had an amazing time when they played at our wedding! The set list was perfect for what we wanted and everyone enjoyed it so much. OMG what a band!!!! they are incredible, the dance floor was full all night. We have had a lot of people messaging asking for them to be in their wedding as they were just so good. Super easy to deal with, had no problems learning a new song for our first dance song.

We booked Blacktye for our wedding on 30th October and had the most fantastic experience with them. They got everyone up from their seats and involved which was great fun. I particularly loved the bridesmaids and groomsmen dance off. They are really talented and such great entertainers. We booked them for our drinks reception through to the DJ so the whole thing was seamless and flowed easily. The set up was quick and they even shared a microphone with my husband when he wanted to sing his speech! I highly recommend them to any couples looking for a fun and lively band on their special day.

The band were just phenomenal, the dance floor never emptied with songs to suit every taste. From fantastic suits, plenty of humour and unbelievable talent , Blacktye were fantastic. They are great to deal with too and such a nice bunch of people. Our guests and us had a great night. Thank you for being part of our special day!

Blacktye were a really great wedding band and really flexible and accommodating we had to change dates from 2020 to 2021. They had the dance floor full from start to finish and learnt our first dance song with only weeks to go to our wedding. They also stepped in last minute to do our ceremony music too which was a really wonderful addition to our outdoor ceremony on the cliffs of Moher? overall, a very talented group of musicians with a great manager in Darragh!

Blacktye are an excellent band with a real choice of instruments and singers. This is why we booked them. They had our dance floor full from start to finish and we only had 25 guests. I would highly recommend them.

Hey Darragh, as we're back in Seattle now I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for everything! You had an incredibly tough week and still managed to come to Cork and make our day.
The First dance was great, apparently we looked incredibly focused, our dance teacher would kill us lol.

Blacktye were absolutely brilliant.

The amount of people including myself that had to look up at different stages to see if they we?re actually singing or if ye were kidding us all by putting on an amazing pre recorded version was crazy. And that's a testament to the quality that ye displayed and I'm sure continue to display.

Kept everybody entertained throughout the night and got people back on their feet straight away after the break.

As the groom we just wanted to thank Darragh and Blacktye for being the perfect band and DJ for our wedding.

We had a ball. The band is unbelievable talented and versatile and were outstanding. The songs they selected and performed were perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better band or set of guys to help us celebrate and get the party started.

Darragh had a few tricks to get everyone up and dancing and the band were very accommodating of our requests.

Darragh was also great in the build up, very responsive and always available.

We would honestly recommend the band to anyone planning a wedding and if you enjoy it even half as much as we did then it will be the best day of your life!

The only word I can use to describe this band is awesome. From the moment they started they had everyone on their feet from very young to old they played something for everyone and there was never a moment that the floor was empty. Everyone from the night said how brilliant they were and even down to the dj part of the night it was still a massive hit where nobody wanted it to end. I would definitely say if you are having your wedding to book this band. They made the evening for us. Thanks Darragh and crew.

What can I say..... Absolutely brilliant!!
Thanks so much for everything on our wedding day. We appreciated everything you and the band did for us on the day and on the lead up to the wedding.....in particular to picking songs and last minute changes! We were a little apprehensive a first booking as we only managed to make one showcase to see you playing when we booked the ba D initally. But we were absolutely blown away on the day, to the song choices, the interaction with us and the guests and the lovely personel touches. The dance floor was full for the night everyone was out dancing and having fun. So many guests commented on how good the band were. Great mix of music to suit all ages. Not only was there a few sore heads the next day but nearly everyone had sore feet from dancing. We saw se people up dancing that we haven't seen up dancing in years.
We have had a few friends asking for your details since the wedding. Best of luck with everything in the future and as my new husbands says he will be booking you for his next wedding????????????????

Blacktye are more than a run-of-the mill wedding band. They are a real band that have such a good rapport with one another on stage it shines through and adds to the atmosphere. There is no awkwardness or cringeyness about them which we hsd found with other wedding bands that we went to see.They are so comfortable on stage I felt I had nothing to worry about. They were very entertaining all night long and their energy was infectious.They could read the crowd so well and played something for everybody from waltzes to raves! It was such a delight seeing my mother run to find her sister to waltz or jive to a particular song they might have loved as teenagers. She was so impressed and is still talking about it 3 weeks on. I feel like we were so lucky to have found them and would highly recommend Blacktye.

Blacktye were amazing as our wedding band - they are so eclectic in the music they do, and do so well, they read the crowd brilliantly and kept us dancing and the floor filled all night long - it was simply amazing. They played off the crowd well too, without being cringy, and basically rocked the house all night. I had Blacktye for the entire day, for my ceremony through to the late night DJ, and again, all was brilliant. Ceremony music went swimmingly, with my 'surprise, secret' song for coming down the aisle 'At last' being sung superbly by Kim.

My only issue in dealing with Blacktye were that there were changes in the band line up between when I booked (admittedly about 2 years in advance) and when the wedding was, and I found out through facebook rather than being notified. I would have appreciated being told directly. Thankfully, the eventual lineup that was at our wedding were fantastic as outlined above.

Bottom line, highly recommended!

Excellent band, dance floor was packed for the whole night! Choice of songs was brilliant and played to suit our family and friends. Excellent communication from Darragh and Co from start to finish and also I recommend the band and DJ package! Great value!

I just wanted to thank you for your amazing performance on our wedding day. We are still getting comments from our guests weeks later on how good you were.

You were a treat to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and you delivered an amazing show.
Except the dirty dancing bit, which drained every drop of blood from my body immediately. But i know everyone else really enjoyed it from the snapchat responses. I use the word "enjoy" ironically.

Hats off to all of your guys, well done and ill be sure to recommend you to anyone thats looking for a band in the future. If you ever need a backup dancer, make sure you don't come anywhere near me.

The band were full of energy and fun! They had all of our guests on the floor all night. Everybody really enjoyed them! Excellent mix of songs. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Darragh and the lads were great from start to finish. They even agreed to travel to the north tip of Ireland for our wedding. The booking was easy and they contacted us a few weeks before the wedding to confirm everything, which was very reassuring.
Our guests loved them- people didnt leave the dancefloor and they even palyed the Fresh Prince of Belair song which was a massive hit with everyone. The mix of female and male vocalists is unusal in a wedding band and works so well, this was our favourite thing about Blacktye. Would highly recommend to friends!!

Can't recommend Blacktye enough. Darragh was quick to reply via phone and email which was so useful when trying to plan a wedding in Ireland from England. They learnt a song we wanted as a first dance and my husband loved playing an impromptu song with them on the night!

Amazing band. Had our guests on the floor all night. Great fun and Darragh was there to ensure everything ran as planned (we had a lot of little extras to be included in the night). Thrilled to bits with our choice, as were our guests.

We hired Blacktye to provide music for our entire wedding day on September 20th - the ceremony, drinks receptions, band+DJ. Choosing a good band was highly important to us but it was also quite difficult, as we got married in Ireland but live abroad. We had to rely on word of mouth and luckily for us, a friend recommended Blacktye.

From the beginning, our chats with Daragh inspired nothing but confidence. He was happy to talk at length about what general vibe as well as what specific music we wanted, to make sure we were happy. They have a range of packages that I imagine would suit everybody and he helped us choose ours. This was all hugely helpful with us not being in the country and not having the option of attending a showcase. We really had to put our trust in them and we're so happy we did because they were awesome!

From the moment I walked down the aisle until all the girls were dancing in their flats in the wee hours, they rocked the house. Blacktye are hugely talented and versatile. Our ceremony was beautiful and they had no problem letting us choose all our own songs, and learning and perfecting them in record time.They were a hit with the guests too and kept them entertained while not imposing with some jazzy background music during the drinks reception, then made sure the dancefloor was filled all night with a great mix of tunes and good banter. I genuinely can't fault them and would get them booked ASAP if I were anyone planning a wedding in the future.

Hi everyone I heard Blacktye for the first time last Sat,night 1st March at a 40th birthday in the Hibernian Club in Dublin .
I have heard many wedding and party bands but I can say Blacktye were the finest band I have ever heard.

We just want to thank you for a fantastic day at our wedding on Sunday in Cabra Castle. The place was absolutely rocking.

just a quick note to say thank you so much for all your help with the band. From day one, you were a pleasure to deal with. You made the whole process so easy. I got talking to Darragh before the band played that evening in Darver Castle. However, I never got talking to the band when they finished up.

My god they were superb. Will you thank each of them for me as I never got the chance to, The lead singer made such a great job of our first dance, and it was a tough one to crack. I will certainly be recommending you to friends.
