We got married in Castello Di Montignano in August! We are from Ireland and had 136 guests. Everything was amazing. I cannot recommend it enough!!
Staff were so attentive, professional and friendly. A special thank you David for making everything perfect and going above and beyond for us!
The food was 10/10. So many of us guests mentioned how good it was and how much was offered all weekend. We had a pizza party, wedding meal and a BBQ. Each meal was incredible!
Having accommodation on site was brilliant as we could celebrate with guests all weekend. We also had guests at other locations and Castello helped us to organise transfers which made it so easy.
We had the best weekend of our lives and cannot recommend Montignano enough! Thank you to everyone who made our wedding so special! We wish we could do it all again

We had the most magical experience at Castello Di Montignano in May 2025. Our 3 day wedding celebration exceeded all expectations. Apart from the stunning setting the flexibility of the staff both before and during our celebrations, the fact that nothing felt like too much trouble made us feel totally at ease and relaxed. In fact a few people commented that I was the most relaxed bride they had ever seen that was because had the venue took care of everything. David in made me feel like nothing I asked was too much trouble. It felt easier than organising a wedding in the uk as we had amazing recommendations for all suppliers - I would like to mentioned Marianna flowers as being utterly amazing like a florist: wedding planner and super creative! Food was out of this world all our guests commented on that and in fact that it was the most amazing and generous wedding they had ever been to! Couldn’t recommend the Castello any more would love to do it all again.

We truly cannot thank the team at Castello di Montignano enough for making our wedding week an absolute dream. We spent three unforgettable days at the castle, each one filled with thoughtfully curated events, unforgettable moments, and impeccable hospitality. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of magical.
To Giuseppe, David, Eva, and the entire staff: your warmth and care for every detail made us and our guests feel so special. You went above and beyond in every way - not just for us, but for every single person who walked through those castle doors. Our friends and family are still talking about how incredible it all was.
The property itself is breathtaking - photos do not even begin to do it justice! The castle was like stepping back in time. It’s authentically Italian, beautifully preserved, and rich with history. The setting, the food, the views, the ambiance was fantastic.
It was the most intimate, elevated, and personal experience we could have ever imagined. Every moment felt curated and intentional, and it made for the most meaningful celebration we could have asked for. We will carry these memories with us for a lifetime. Excellent venue for our Irish/English 100 person wedding. They were professional and flexible - couldn’t recommend them more!

Wonderful wedding experience! We had an amazing weekend in the end of September that started with a pizza night in the Hortus on Friday and ended on the dance floor 5am Sunday morning.

You are really king and queen of the castle and the crew can fix you everything you need. There is plenty of food during servings, the aperitif menu is very very good! I recommend the local wines and if you don’t like the one in stock, they can order others for a fair fee. They can serve alcohol all night and the cocktail deal is amazing as you can choose which drinks they serve in advance.

The locations are beautiful and we had the ceremony in the cozy and wonderful Hortus area. You can lodge up to 70 people in and around the Castello (walking distance). If not the bus services they recommend will drive all night to your chosen destination.

We got married in CDM in September 2024 and honestly had the best few days of our lives! Everything was amazing, from the set up of venue for all three days (we had a welcome dinner the night before, the wedding day itself and also a pizza party the following day), the decorations, the music, the food and wine, etc.

All of our guests also commented on how amazing the few days were and that is definitely thanks to the experience and professionalism of the team in CDM, who made sure that everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

The owner Giuseppe, and his team (notably Eva & Ilaria in particular) are truly one of a kind! The attitude of this venue is that when you book it, you are the "Lords / Ladies of the Castello" and it is completely true! There is no end to the flexibility of the setups or the customisation of any aspect of the wedding (if you want a pink elephant, it can probably be done).

It is a very unique event space that has been created here and we love absolutely everything about it.

We had our September 2024 wedding at Castello, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived, Castello didn’t just feel like a venue—it became our home for this special occasion. The stunning surroundings and warm atmosphere made it the perfect setting for our celebration.

Our guests are still raving about the experience, saying it felt like something out of a movie. Many of them have commented on the magic of the location, the beauty of the castle and its incredible rustic vibe and the impeccable service. The ambiance, coupled with the incredible scenery, left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.

We just got back from celebrating our wedding at Castello di Montignano, and it was a magical experience! We had our wedding September 2023. It was the most incredible experience. The venue and staff were outstanding. It was better than we imagined and exceeded the expectations that we had. I 100% recommend that you do your wedding here with no hesitation.

We got married here in 2023 and overall had an amazing experience. It was so special to have the entire venue just for us and our guests for the full weekend, and the team were so kind and couldn’t do enough for us. Some of the rooms are a little dated but other than that we were so happy. The food was AMAZING!!! There is a calm, romantic and intimate energy at Castello Di Montignano which is so special! Giuseppe and Nicole are absolutely great!

We booked our wedding with Castello di Montignano without visiting the venue and after one initial conversation with the then wedding planner Beatrice. We were just so impressed with their amazing reviews from Irish couples and their awards for Best Destination Wedding Venue from this site. I was an extremely anxious bride worried about everything going wrong and I found planning a wedding abroad very stressful. BUT I need not have worried as we were in the most capable hands with Giuseppe and Nicole and everyone at Castello di Montignano. It's hard to describe how truly magical our wedding was but I'll do my best to point out some of the ways in which they went above and beyond for us.
1. They provided a list of suppliers in Italy and also gave us the contact information for the Church to organise our religious service. We had no wedding planner so this was invaluable help to our overall planning and meant we did not really need a wedding planner to find and price the best suppliers. We booked our photographer, hair stylist, florist/decorations, transport service, extra accommodation, catering and even fireworks guy from their suggestions and they were all amazing.
2. We booked 2 nights exclusive use of the venue for our welcome party and wedding day. However as their calendar was free, we were able to check in the wedding party two days early and in total spent 4 nights in the venue which meant any last minute planning we had to do in Italy (and there was a lot! Haha) we could do right there in the venue.
3. Giuseppe, Nicole and all the team were so welcoming and accommodating AND CALM despite Ciar?n and I being a bit stressed about rooms for guests, different dietary requirements and other things we managed to worry about. But they were just brilliant with us and I am so grateful for their patience and understanding. We had just the most unforgettable stay and our wedding was like something out of a film. I can't recommend Castello di Montignano highly enough and hope to return for a visit in the near future. Myself and my husband got married here in May 2023, we had visited the venue the year previously and it was the perfect place for our special day.
We had 30 family and friends and we all stayed in the castle, the staff were incredible we had everything we needed/wanted, nothing was too big an ask!
All our guests loved their rooms and whole the occasion was perfect from start to finish.
The food was amazing and all 3 days were beyond our expectations. Such a magical place to spend such a special occasion. Can't thank everyone enough for the whole experience.

Finding a destination wedding venue can be a scary task. In fact, we looked at over 50 different places across Italy!

We eventually picked Castello di Montignano and had our dream wedding here on the 3rd Sept 2022 and couldn't have hoped for more. Here's why:

????Venue????
The Castle is a fairytale, offering historic charm coupled with a modern 4-star hotel experience. It has stunning views across the rolling hills of Umbria, perfect for your wedding photos. The gardens are lovely, with lots of different spaces to mix things up. The pool is big and really clean, great for guests to enjoy in the day and jump in at night!

The Pavilion is a real highlight of this place. It's a permanent structure in the garden, with glass sides that works perfectly for the dinner and reception. It has a modern speaker system that is loud(!) and also specially designed so you can have music till late (we finished at 4am!)

The Castle comfortably sleeps 40+ (with apartments) and the rooms are a great size, all with big beds, modern bathrooms, mini-fridges and typical mod-cons.

The location of the venue is great, close to Rome and Perugia airports. You can drive from Rome in 2hrs or get a train to Terni which is less than 1.5hrs long and super easy.

As a 4* hotel, the Castle has its own high quality catering team, which is a massive benefit and they are also so accomodating with your requests (they even helped us have an ice cream wedding cake!)

The food and service were both impeccable throughout the weekend and honestly the quality of the food and menu choices are second to none.

The dining experience across the 3 days was consistently at a very high standard, and our guests had only good things to say.

This will be dependant on what you want for your wedding, but we can say that having looked at prices from other venues, Castello di Montignano is very reasonable. The value you get though, is priceless and the team will always work with you to help manage your budget, keeping things completely transparent.

Beatrice is a superstar and took everything in her stride as our wedding planner. She gives you space to decide how you want it, whilst also offering suggestions based on all her experience. She was calm and supportive when we needed it and always optimistic, friendly and super organised! Giuseppe also an absolute hero, so welcoming and great fun. Marta, Mariana and the rest of the team just so wonderful and put in such incredible hard work for every wedding they host.

We simply cannot thank the team at Castello di Montignano enough for our dream wedding. It was all we could have hoped for and more!

Castello Di Montignano played home to our international wedding where we booked the whole Castle and had three days of celebrations.

The guests came from all over the world and were amazed by what they saw, what they experienced, what they ate/drank, and the wedding that Beatrice, Giuseppe and the team at the Castle put on.

My wife and I left the Castle full of happiness and love and will never forget our time shared there.

I highly recommend the Castle for a visit, a wedding, an organised party or to get a away to somewhere magical.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding at this amazing venue with 50 friends and Family. We paid for the 3 day package which was worth every penny. The welcome aperitif in the Horthus garden was a beautiful setting, the wedding day itself was amazing with our ceremony on the pool gardens overlooking the hills and the pool / pizza party on the final day was a great way to finish the celebrations. The staff couldn't do enough for you, the setting is idyllic and everyone had the best 3 days. The food was delicious and there was lots of it. We had complete exclusivity of the venue so could stay up late, use the small spa inside the hotel at free will, relax by the pool day and night. I highly recommend anyone looking for an Italian wedding to consider this venue, you won't regret it. Special mention to Beatrice, the wedding planner who helped us plan our day and answer a million questions. We also used wedding motion Italy for our wedding video and Alessandro Mari for Photos. Both were very professional and excellent at what they do.

The venue is around 1.5 hours north of Rome or 40 mins south of Perugia, which both have airports. If you are looking to get married in Italy look no further. We will be back to visit very soon. Grazie Mille Montignano!

We got married at Castello Montignano in July 2022, and it exceeded all our expectations. We researched and visited several venues here in Italy. Castello Montignano were by far the most professional. We met several times over zoom and in person. They provided detailed spreadsheets outlining all the options and costs, helped us choose providers, and in the days leading up to the wedding they provided us with solutions for all our last minute questions and issues. The wedding day went perfectly. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and professional, they accommodated all our guests' dietary requirements and worked with the providers of music and lighting, photography and fireworks to make sure everything ran like clockwork.

We could not be happier with them and would absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married in Italy.

We had an amazing wedding at Castello di montignano. We travelled with family and friends all the way from Norway to celebrate our special day at this fantastic castle. Beatrice did an amazing job. Our first meeting was over skype due to Covid and she showed us how amazing the castle was. Beatrice helped with everything and was very helpful. When we had the two days at the castle we could relax and enjoy ourselves since Beatrice had full controll of what was going to happen. Everyone in the wedding have been saying that the wedding was amazing and the castle was very beautiful. Would highly recommend Castello di montignano if you want a fairytale wedding and would also recommend to use Beatrice as the wedding planner.

We had the most AMAZING wedding at Castello. It was so much better than we ever thought it could be. Beatrice is an excellent wedding planner, she really did think of everything and our 3 day event ran so smooth. She is such a lovely person and always so easy to communicate with. We organised everything from Ireland and Beatrice made it so easy. We had the Castle rented out for the 3 days and it really did feel like our own home just as Giuseppe (the owner) had said. The staff were so nice and accommodating. The food was excellent, the wedding day in particular. The best food we have had in Italy and we have been to visit quite a few times now. Marianna was our florist and our flowers and decorations were so beautiful on the big day, we couldn't have asked for better!! We had The Gloves band for our music and honestly they were amazing. We would highly recommend them. They kept the dance floor full all night!! Peggy Picot was our photographer and our photos are beautiful. She really did capture the day perfectly, especially since we were keen to enjoy the moment and not spend too much time away from everyone for photos. If your thinking of getting married in Italy, we would highly recommend Castello di Montignano. It is in the most beautiful setting in Umbria, we can't wait to go back and visit. We wish we could do it all again and we wouldn't change a thing.

From the moment we arrived at the castle, we were made to feel so welcome and that it was ?our home?. Beatrice's relentless repetition of "The Castle is your home from the minute you arrive until you leave? and ?I am your human clock - I will come and get you when you need to be somewhere or do something? on video calls for the 18 months previously was certainly true! Our wedding celebrations involved 3 days of events; a pasta night on Day 1, the wedding day on Day 2 and a pizza and pool party on Day 3. The food and drink was delicious and plentiful! The venue itself is absolutely stunning and so picturesque. Each room in the castle is different, can sleep different numbers of people and named after previous owners of the castle. All rooms have beautiful views. We held our pasta party in the Horthus garden and then ended up inside at the bar for more drinks , singing and dancing. Our first night was magical under the fairy lights with the sun setting behind us. An amazing start to our celebrations!

We had our wedding ceremony out by the pool overlooking the stunning scenery and provided lovely variety for our Wedding Day. The setting of our Wedding Day in the Pool Park was spectacular. Mariana did a beautiful job with the flowers and decorations. We had our starters outside during the drinks reception by the pool, we ate our mains inside in the Pavillion and then we were back outside by the pool for dessert and tea/coffee. We had an incredible feast. Every course we had was phenomenal. Our celebrations continued well into the early hours and ended with family and friends in the pool. We had a pizza and pool party on Day 3. The atmosphere, amazing setting and delicious food everyday contributed greatly to our wedding being everything we wanted and it was the staff that helped made it truly special. We were blown away by how friendly and accommodating the staff were and no ask was too much for them. There was always someone there to cater for everything and their attitude was amazing. They went out of their way to ensure all our needs and the needs of our guests were looked after. Marta at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. While out in the Pavillion and at the bar with Simone, who stayed late chatting to our guests every day.

We met Beatrice, Giuseppe and the team at Castello di Montignano online in September 2020 and did a virtual tour of the venue. After meeting Beatrice and Giuseppe and seeing the stunning venue online we knew they?d be able to make our day so special and memorable. We didn't know it then but the journey to our wedding day would be much longer than we anticipated. A journey which was made much easier by the honest communication and enthusiasm of Beatrice and Giuseppe of Castello di Montignano who helped us greatly with the various suppliers. When Covid hit, we slowly realised that our wedding plans for Montignano in Italy would have to be put on hold. Beatrice and Giuseppe were available at all times to jump on Zoom calls to discuss alternative dates, the realities of the situation with Covid in Italy and provide us with updates. We eventually got to visit, in person, 6 weeks before our wedding in April 2022 to do the food and wine tasting and have a tour of the venue. It was an incredible couple of days together, a special experience getting to try the different food and drink options and really got the excitement building towards our wedding. We?re so grateful for everything they did, we?ll never forget our special wedding celebrations.

I only have high praises for the team at Castello di Montignano. You can tell when you work with them that not only do they love what they do, they get genuinely excited for each wedding they work on. They turn the Castello into your home during your stay and make you feel so comfortable and relaxed.

We booked the Castello from the United States during COVID and never actually saw the space in person until we checked in for our wedding week. Beatrice went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with the grounds, the guest rooms and the wedding plans. Mariana helped bring to life our vision through her expertise in floral and design. They are true experts in what they do and are so open to making your wedding celebration unique to you.

I have worked as an event planner before, during, and after COVID and have personally experienced the many struggles that the industry is dealing with. I can say that the Montignano team has restored my faith in hospitality and event planning. To Beatrice, Giuseppe, Mariana, Simone and the rest of the team - thank you for your dedication to what you do and for making us feel so special.

We got married on August 2021 at Castello di Montignano, the place of our dreams. We recommend it without esitation because the location is wonderfull, a very jewels in the Umbria's landscape. But there are a lots of reasons to choose the Castello di Montignano: the food is delicious, a perfect mix of typical and sophisticated dish , and the owner and the staff are very professional and kind, always ready to help you and able to planning wonderful events.
We are from Umbria, so we are very lucky to have this dreamy place near our home, but we know that the Castello is appreciated by couple from all the countries, the staff speaks language very well (not like me!). Recommended!!

After two postponements, in August 2021 we were lucky to celebrate our wedding at Castello di Montignano. The wait was certainly worth it.
From the moment we arrived, ourselves and our guests were made feel welcome and at home. Beatrice's relentless repetition of "The Castle is your home" on video calls for the two years previously was certainly realised.

Our wedding involved three days of events; a pizza night on Day 1, the wedding day on Day 2 and a BBQ party on Day 3. The food every day was delicious and more importantly, plentiful as it takes a lot to feed an Irish wedding crowd!
The venue itself is beautiful and so picturesque. We held our pizza party in the gated Horthus at the back of the Castle. Our first night was magical under the lights with the sun setting behind us. A fantastic start to the festivities. The church at the end of the cobbled street and the Pool Park at the front of the Castello provided lovely variety then for our Wedding Day and for the BBQ on Day 3. The setting of our Wedding Day in the Pool Park was spectacular. We were set up under lights in the park and were treated to an incredible feast. Every course we had was phenomenal. Our celebrations continued into the early hours and ended in the spa where the last person left for bed at 7.30am. An unbelievable day that we?ll never forget, nor will our guests any time soon.

The atmosphere, amazing setting and delicious food contributed greatly to our wedding being everything we wanted but it was the staff that made it truly special. We were blown away by how friendly the staff were and their "Anything is Possible" attitude. They went out of their way to ensure all our needs and the needs of our guests were catered for. We laughed and had so much fun every time we interacted with Martina at the front desk and in the Pavillion with Simone, who stayed late chatting to our guests every day.

Ci scoppia il cuore dalla gioia e siamo ancora molto emozionati. Il castello, tutto lo staff, Beatrice,Mariuxi ci hanno fatto vivere un sogno. Il nostro matrimonio ? stato esattamente come lo abbiamo sempre sognato, tutto era perfetto in ogni minimo dettaglio. Dal primo giorno che abbiamo scelto il Castello come location per il nostro matrimonio, lo staff non ci ha mai abbandonato. Hanno curato ogni minimo aspetto,con una professionalit? e una semplicit? da vendere. Ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio. Quando il giorno del matrimonio siamo attivati al Castello eravamo super agitati ed emozionati, sapevamo che tutto sarebbe stato perfetto e ad oggi posso dire che non potevamo fare scelta migliore. Quello che abbiamo provato non si pu? spiegare. Vi sceglieremmo altre mille volte.

Il nostro giorno ? stato reso perfetto e l?intera cerimonia ? risultata essere all?altezza dei nostri sogni e aspettative per la bellezza della location, la particolarit? del borgo, lo staff cordiale, gentile, sempre disponibile e attento.
Siamo stati cos? bene ed anche i nostri ospiti sono rimasti cos? contenti del Castello da volerci tornare e perch? no, anche volersi sposare li, considerata la bellezza della nostra festa (parole loro). Abbiamo scelto la location tramite una video chiamata Zoom per la professionalit? e competenza di Beatrice che ha compreso l?idea che avevamo di quel giorno.
Ci siamo fidati e direi che ? stata la scelta pi? in linea non solo con le nostre aspettative ma proprio ha sposato il nostro gusto e stile.
Quando per la degustazione ci siamo recati presso il Castello, dal vivo ? stato ancora pi? bello e la visita ha superato tutte le nostre aspettative.
La chiesa del borgo magica e anche l?esperienza condivisa con Frate Mauro di Massa Martana che ha celebrato il nostro matrimonio lo ? stata!
Ci siamo goduti il nostro matrimonio in tutto e per tutto, avendo il Castello tutto per noi abbiamo concluso la nostra festa in Spa.
La sera prima del matrimonio hanno coordinato un apericena nell?hortus molto suggestivo. Il giorno dopo abbiamo salutato gli ospiti con un brunch in piscina e la cordialit? e disponibilit? di tutto lo staff, la bellezza del posto e la tranquillit?, il clima perfetto, spingevano tutti a non voler pi? andar via..
Abbiamo soggiornato l?intera settimana presso la struttura che da subito ci ha colpito per la bellezza, motivo per cui abbiamo vissuto tutta l?esperienza del borgo e goduto di ogni servizio. Al Castello si soggiorna bene, piscina spa e servizi eccellenti, lo staff ti fa sentire e stare bene e noi abbiamo apprezzato ogni cosa! Grazie mille!

5 star wedding!! Oh yes, all deserved for the infinite availability, the exquisite cordiality of all the staff and for the generosity that Giuseppe, Beatrice and Mariana have shown us.
The location is simply wonderful, warm and welcoming as well as the staff we met and with whom we decided to celebrate.
It goes without saying that our every wish was fulfilled in the best possible way and that, despite the difficult period in which we decided to get married (we got married last August 2020, organizing the event during covid lock down), we did not have any problems in organizing.

Beatrice, our wedding manager, with her sweetness and cordiality, put us at ease and followed us from the very first days and throughout the preparation period, as well as during the wedding day: her punctuality and safety was the support we could count on in every moment of difficulty.

Giuseppe (the boss) is undoubtedly one of the most cordial and inclined managers to satisfy the requests of his customers we've ever met: not only did he meet us from all points of view without ever remaining on his own, but he contributed enormously to solve all those organizational, administrative and economic problems that may arise during the preparation of such an important event.

And then Mariana (our wedding flower designer) has outdone herself! The setting and floral decorations were exactly as we had imagined them: very fresh flowers, well distributed and rightly balanced, embellished even more an already wonderful day.

Finally (but only in order), we want to thank all the staff, from the chefs to the barmen to the restaurant managers: you were great in all the preparations you created for us!

From the moment we contacted Castello di Montignano and spoke to Beatrice we knew we were in good hands. The professionalism she showed throughout the organisation of our wedding was simply 10/10. We organised our wedding in 9 months and everything was plain sailing from start to finish.
The entire team at the Castle were absolutely fantastic over the 3 days we stayed there and we simply could not find one fault. The food, the hospitality, the service, the venue was everything we could have hoped for and more.

Our guests are still thanking us for such a great wedding/holiday but we couldn't have pulled it off without all the team at Castello di Montignano. It's very hard to put it all into words but if you are looking for a wedding venue that has something for everyone then this is it. Where do I begin! CDM is such a special place.

Once we got engaged, it was a no brainer to get married in Italy, it was always a dream for both of us. When searching for venues we stumbled across a ?friend of a friends? wedding on Instagram and were blown away by the secludedness and relaxed atmosphere of the venue. This was exactly what we were looking for ? a hidden gem in the rolling hills of lesser known Umbria, perfect for an Irish party!

We contacted CDM in October 2018, and despite still being very busy with weddings Beatrice was very accommodating and patient ? as you can imagine we had so many questions, and scheduled several calls with her over the course of October and November before making a final decision on dates etc. Beatrice is a breath of fresh air, very friendly, creative, extremely organized, and most importantly she listens to exactly what you would like to achieve. Needless to say, straight away we knew we wanted to work with her as our wedding planner at CDM.

We are both from Ireland but living in Dubai, and wanted to organize a wedding for a hundred guests in Italy. Organising a wedding abroad can be quite stressful, but Beatrice eased all of our fears and there was honestly never a moment she wasn't on top of it all from start to finish!

We visited the venue for the first time in December and loved the location, only an hour and half from Rome, it really is set in the heart of the Umbrian countryside, it is very quiet, secluded and so picturesque. It was great to meet both Beatrice and Giuseppe in person and discuss it in detail. Giuseppe's love for excel really streamlines the process!

Meeting Giuseppe was insightful, it helped us understand the history of his home that has been in the family for generations. For him it is important for people to feel at home in the relaxed luxury of CDM, and as far as we can see he has definitely achieved that.

When we visited in April to do the menu tasting we met Orlando the chef and his sous chef Daniel who came to talk us through the menu. As with everything in CDM it was such a personal touch. Marco and Simone who manage the bar and restaurant even remembered us from our December trip and were so friendly and helpful in choosing the wines.

We wished to have a church wedding so Beatrice also put us in touch with a ?document manager? called Isabella who was wonderful and incredibly helpful. She even drove from Assisi to meet us in CDM in April. Isabella assisted with sourcing an English-speaking priest, and guided us through all of the religious and legal paperwork involved in a Catholic wedding ceremony in Italy. We would still be wading through paperwork and translations if it wasn't for her!

We got married at the end of August, and can honestly say we had the best few days of our lives. It is even more beautiful in the sun. We rented the castle for three nights and filled it to the brim with family and friends. The refurbishment of the castle is really quite unique and elegantly done. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We also rented the apartments attached to the castle which are quite convenient for families with children. Renting the entire venue was great because there were no restrictions.

When we checked in everyone headed down to the pool for lunch and a swim. Following the church rehearsal the night before the wedding we organized a welcome night for all the guests in the Horthus maze garden behind the castle with food and drinks. This was a great evening and really set the tone.

The wedding day itself ran very smoothly, we were lucky to avoid rain in the distance but Beatrice was all over it with plan B in the event it did affect us. The fireplace room is really spacious for all the bridal party to get ready. Mariana really did an amazing job on the flowers. We were so glad she did all the decorations from the church, to table arrangements to the cake decoration. The outdoor dinner with fairy lights looked spectacular. I would highly recommend her. Our guests are still raving about the dinner, Orlando and Daniel did a wonderful job there was so much amazing food! Cutting the cake outside with sparklers per Beatrice's last minute song suggestion of ?Amore? was actually one of our favourite moments.

We cannot speak highly enough of the band either. They were recommended by Beatrice and frequently play at CDM. They also performed music in the church. They were so professional and fun, and Gabriel was a pleasure to deal with. We partied hard until the early hours while Beatrice and her team managed the buses to transport everyone home safely that wasn't staying at the venue.

On day two we had a Pizza Pool Party with a Sax player and DJ. This was great fun, and the perfect way to chill, relax and enjoy the best of CDM? We didn't want it to end!
All of our guests had an incredible time, they are still thanking us and were overwhelmed by the hospitality they received at our wedding, but the thanks is truly deserved by the Team at CDM. 4 months on and our guests still remember all the staff by name, and I think that is testament to the incredible job they do in CDM.

A massive thank you to Beatrice, Giuseppe, Isabella, Marco, Simone, Orlando and Daniel and all the Team for the most amazing memories and few days that we will never forget. It really is the castle of love.

Castello di Montignano stole our hearts. You need to visit this place to experience how special it is. The hotel is picture perfect with the most stunning views. We were so impressed when we came to visit, we had to have our wedding there, over all the other venues we visited.

Not only is the Castello an amazing place, but each and every member of staff made our stay so special and memorable. They are all so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly.

The food was sublime (each and every course) and the cocktails we had, were some of the best cocktails we've tasted.

Beatrice, the wedding manager, (with help from Selena, her assistant) was invaluable in the build up to, on the day of and after our wedding. The organisation of everything was superb. We had many long phone calls, often late at night (to fit in with my working hours) which always made me feel better about the progress of the wedding preparation. There were also many last minute changes which she dealt with easily. She is very lovely and was always happy to help.

It was also lovely to meet the owner of the hotel, Giuseppe, each time we visited. He always took the time to chat to us and helped to make our wedding the most perfect day/weekend.

Our family and friends loved each of the rooms they stayed in. All good sizes with beautiful bathrooms and lovely details of history. They, and all the other wedding guests, still comment on how great they thought the wedding was.

We had the most perfect wedding at this venue and can't wait to go back to visit our second home.

Our wedding was incredible!! The staff looked after us from start to finish and we were there for 6 days. Can't recommend them enough. If you want the full works for a destination wedding and want to have the most beautiful and romantic wedding then this is the venue. All my guests are already looking forward to a reunion next year!! :D

Castillo Di Montignano is a beautiful little castle set on top a hill with breathtaking views of the rolling Umbrian countryside.

We discovered the castle through our wedding planner and were amazed from the very moment we drove up to the car park.

The very lovely Beatrice (the castles Events Coordinator) gave us a tour of the castle. The location ticked every box we were looking for. From the peaceful rolling hills of the Italian countryside to the majestic but intimate settings of the castle gardens. Beatrice was very informative and helped us paint a clear picture of what every area of the castle could be used for.

On our return visit for the menu tasting, Beatrice once again made us feel very welcome and taken care of, even though she had a large group of other couples to attend to.

The menu tasting itself was full of great dishes and wines to choose from. The waiting staff were very attentive and were able to answer all of our questions regarding dietary needs.

Giuseppe (The castle owner) was around during the tasting to answer any question regarding the venue itself. He was very friendly and approachable and insisted that we contact him directly if we had any technical questions, which was very reassuring.

Overall, the welcome dinner and wedding day were a huge success. Our guests were giving us compliments on the whole experience for weeks after the wedding. We can't thank Beatrice, Giuseppe and the whole castle team enough for being so accommodating to all of our requests, making us and our guests feel so welcome and helping us create unforgettable memories. We will definitely be returning to Catello de Montignano again for our anniversary in the future.

Castello di Montignano is a picturesque and magical place. We held our three day wedding at the venue in May and it was the best three days of our lives. We first visited the castle on the recommendation of a friend in February 2018. We fell in love with this magnificent venue and village immediately (despite the fact that we brought the Irish weather with us). The venue itself is idyllic surrounded by rolling Umbrian hills. The Castello has been restored impeccably by Giuseppe and our guests were in awe at the castle. It really and truly is a special place.

Planning a wedding abroad can be stressful and emotionally draining but not if you have Beatrice, Selena and the team guiding you every step of the way. A very special mention must go to Beatrice, she is incredible and made everything so straight forward and easy. From the moment we met Beatrice we knew we were in safe hands. There was never any wish that was ever too great nor any request that couldn't be accomodated. Beatrice has recommended supplier lists for all your wedding needs. For music, we chose Gabriel Canelles and his band, The Blenders. Gabriel coordinated all the music for our wedding day. He is fantastic and he and his band (including the blowing section) we?re brilliant. Seeing as we are big fans of The Killers, they even went out of their way to learn Mr. Brightside which was a brilliant surprise. We picked Andrea Dambrosia and his team as our photographer and videographer and we are delighted with the photos and video. The guys captured every moment and we love how natural our pictures turned out. We definitely would recommend getting the drone, the aerial shots are magnificent! Mariana and her decorative team brought all of my wife's ideas to life. Mariana is super, she offers creative ideas and recommendations and we were so happy to let her and Beatrice to get creative and run with the decorations. The result far exceeded our expectations. The flowers, the table settings and centre pieces were magnificent. The hanging candles and flowers of the top table were magical.

The food prepared by chef, Orlando, is divine and he prepared what can only be described as a true Umbrian feast for us over the three days. My wife is gluten intolerant which in most circumstances can be restrictive, but Orlando was completely understanding and sympathetic as his family members also are coeliac. Orlando produced a gluten free menu from scratch for my wife ensuring that she enjoyed a true Italian meal. It really made her day.

The one thing that truly makes Castello di Montignano special is the people. Every member of staff makes you feel at home and treats you like a king and queen. Marco and Simone must get a special mention, they were the last men standing looking after guests at the end of the night and the first ones there in the morning, always lending a helping hand. Beatrice and Guiseppi we can't thank you enough for everything you did for us over the 16 months lead into our wedding.

We couldn't recommend Castello di Montignano more. The food is exceptional, the floristry team are fantastic and the staff treat you like family. Thank you to Beatrice in particular for creating such a special experience for us and our guests. We are a couple from the United States who got married at the castle. We did not visit the castle prior to the wedding, and while we had high expectations we weren't totally sure what to expect. Upon our arrival Beatrice and the team at Montignano immediately put us at ease. All of our wishes for the wedding were followed through with. The rooms, scenery, food, wine, spa, and staff were all wonderful. Our guests had a great time. Everything exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend Montignano!

We got married at the Castello on 1st September and simply had a magical time.

The venue itself is stunning ? a beautifully renovated building in a stunning location overlooking the Italian valleys. It is set in lovely hamlet of buildings ? some lived in by local residents ? and was a beautifully rustic location for us to hold our civil ceremony. The rooms in the Castello were also lovely, and the spa was a real bonus.

One of the key reasons we picked this venue was the fantastic glass pavilion that meant our ?plan B? for dinner felt as if you were outside (rather than inside a dark stone building, which was the plan B for all the other venues we saw). In the end, due to a windy day we used the plan B for our reception and it worked perfectly.

The staff at the Castello are amazing ? Beatrice is incredibly good at her job as wedding manager ? and although at times it took her a little while to respond due to the number of events she works on, we were always comfortable knowing she was on top of everything and on the day we didn't spend a single moment thinking about logistics. The rest of the staff (apart from 1 quite rude receptionist) were all brilliant too, and made us and our guests feel like VIPs.Their English was also great.

Finally, the food and wine were absolutely amazing, with many of our guests saying it was the best they?d ever had at a wedding. A particular highlight was the outside aperitivo (we chose meats and cheeses) and the gelato after the dinner.

A stunning venue which meant we really did have the most magical wedding.

We could not have asked for more from Beatrice and her team! We had the castle from the Friday afternoon through to the Monday morning.

Every single person went out of their way to make sure that whatever we, or any of the guests needed, it was taken care of.

We had the best day and the most amazing wedding weekend, everything from the venue, staff, accommodation, food and general activities were perfect!

Myself and my husband got married in the Castello in August this year and I could not recommend it more. We first visited the Castello in January 2017 after it had been recommended to us as a venue. We loved our stay and after viewing a few other places decided to go with the castle. What we liked about the venue was that everything happens in the one location. The church is on site or if you want a civil ceremony they do that too, then you just walk around the corner for the drinks reception and meal. Beatrice and Giuseppe were really welcoming, professional but also seemed really fun.

We went back to the Castello in March for our menu tasting, the food and wine was delicious and the chefs were so accommodating. They cater for vegan, vegetarian and any allergies, all of the food both at the tasting and on the wedding day was delicious. Unfortunately the pool park was closed for renovations at that time but we had seen lots of pictures and videos on their website

During the planning process Beatrice was amazing, she must cater for so many couples but always got back to us within a couple of days and nothing was a problem. My godmother did the flowers for us in the church and the bouquets so we just wanted to order the flowers, this was not a problem. They were really flexible whenever we wanted to change. Ramona did a brilliant job with the fans for the church, seating lists and table names and the cake that the team put together was exactly what we wanted.

We stayed in the Castello from the Tuesday before the wedding (which was on a Friday), Beatrice organised a bus transfer for our wine tour (Roccafiore wines), she booked a restaurant for us and our guests in Todi one evening and we had a dinner in the Hortcus garden at the Castle the night before the wedding which was delicious.

On the wedding day Beatrice and her team managed everything perfectly and we didn't have to worry about anything. She organised transfers to collect and drop all our guests back, which isn't an easy feat with 120 Irish. The bar staff on the wedding and day two were amazing, so much fun and laid back while also providing excellent service.

We had a pizza and pool party for our day two. The food was delicious and there was so much of it.

When planning the wedding some of the costs can seem expensive but we felt we got such brilliant value for money, with more food than we could eat, lots of gorgeous wine and so much fun. We would do it again in a heartbeat and can't wait to go back to visit.

We had never visited or seen the place before choosing Castello Di Montignano. The first time we saw the castello was at our actual wedding so we solely relied on their pictures, descriptions and reviews. Luckily we were pleasantly surprised and loved the castello. The place was even more beautiful in person than in pictures and videos. It was clean, beautifully decorated, charming with the perfect ambience for a romantic italian wedding! We had the pleasure to deal with Beatrice and I can confidently say that she is the reason our wedding was a success. She was extremely responsible, quick, informative and competent. Without her I would not necessarily have chosen the castello. She held our hand through the entire process of our wedding. From food to decoration she made sure all was according to our plans. I told her the look I wanted and she made it happen. We hosted 26 adults and 8 children for 5 days at the castello and our wedding went perfectly.
