She was encouraged by her musical mother&#; to study singing. Her award winning performances resulted in music&#; scholarships to the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto and the&#; State University of New York, where she was trained by some of&#; North America's top voice coaches and choral conductors, including&#; Dr. David Ouchterlony, Elmer Isler, Lukas Foss and John Rutter.&#; She successfully auditioned for the Emma Kirkby Master Class in&#; the International Music School in Dartington, U.K. She has performed&#; on stage with the world renowned soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.&#; Now living in Ireland, Karen&#;s musical career has been so wonderfully enhanced by her partnership with Paul.Paul Redmond&#;first caught the attention of audiences with his live performances on RTE in the Tops of the Town Competition winning the awards for the Most Promising Entertainer and Most Outstanding Singer.
