Personalised Irish Wedding Goblets by Magill Woodcraft Ireland

Belclare, Tuam, Co. Galway

In th century Ireland when a young man fell in love with a young woman he crafted a goblet to present to her. He lovingly carved the goblet, with two or three captive rings, all from a single piece of wood. These two rings symbolised unity and eternity, while the three rings are said to symbolise engagement, the wedding and eternal love. At the couple's wedding feast they both drank from the goblet, and thereafter kept it in a safe place. For so long as the rings remained unbroken, they would love each other forever.Handcrafted by Furniture Designer-Maker Cian Magill using the fascinating process of woodturning, this is the perfect Irish wedding gift for your closest friends or family, especially those of Irish decent! The wedding chalice comes packaged beautifully and can be personalised with a message of your choice. Made from native Irish Ash of Co. A wonderful experience! The Wedding Goblet arrived in a very timely manner in an attractive box. The goblet is a work of art and I can't think of a more meaningful wedding gift for any couple, especially with those of Irish descent. Cian brings out the beauty of the wood and sincerely hopes you see it too - and you will.
