I am Rev. Barbara Allen (Rev. Babs). I am an Interfaith Minister (strictly non-denominational), Celebrant and Legal Solemniser of Weddings in Ireland.
My aim is to create for you a one-of-a-kind Wedding Ceremony which reflects your personalities, both as individuals, and as a couple. Together we will use Rituals, Music, Readings, Poetry as I unfold your story of Love, to design the perfect, personalised Wedding Ceremony, which will be memorable and will always hold a significant place in your hearts. I will guide you through the legal formalities which apply in Ireland. I will liaise with the venue, and I will ensure that the Ceremony runs smoothly and effortlessly.
On the Day, the Ceremony will be professionally held by me, in an atmosphere of love and joyfulness, which is entirely stress-free. I will meet with you regularly, as we work together, and I will always be available to answer any questions. Creating Wedding Ceremonies and helping couples to plan the perfect Ceremony for them, is my passion. I absolutely love it! Together, we will build a bond of mutual trust, as we navigate this wonderful time in your lives - the planning will be fun and inclusive.

Incredible Wedding Celebrant
Myself and my husband Niall received a recommendation from a friend of Barbara Allen as a wedding celebrant and we only had to meet her once before we knew she was the one we wanted to marry us. From the very first zoom call, Barbara was warm, engaging and really set the tone for what we knew would be a truly special wedding ceremony. Our guests were a mixture of religions and beliefs at our wedding so Barbara, being an inter-faith minister, enabled us to add different elements to our ceremony which allowed for a truly inclusive experience for everyone present. She told our story in the most perfect way on the day. It was extremely clear that she really understood the essence of "us" even though we only had to share our story with her once. Working with her was a real joy and her guidance throughout is something I will be forever grateful for. She shared so many beautiful resources and readings and also, gave amazing advice as we both wanted to write personal vows to be read on the day. She even printed these out for us and had them ready when the moment came. We chose to do the fasting of the hands as part of our ceremony and even provided a handfast on the day of the wedding which was one less thing for us to organise. I had been a little bit nervous about the ceremony portion of the day but the energy Barbara created was so special and we could really feel all the love emanating in the space. It ended up being my favourite part of the day and a memory I will hold with me for the rest of my life. I would highly highly recommend Barbara to an couple getting married she is truly incredible at her craft!

Fabulous ceremony

We had the pleasure of having Babs as our celebrant for our wedding in Anglers Rest. From the very start Babs had been nothing but wonderful, professional and patient with us.
Babs was so so helpful throughout her zoom calls with us explaining how the ceremony will run, what type of ceremony we can have, what we can do and include in the ceremony. Since neither of myself or my husband had been to wedding in about 15 years we didn’t know how it ran or what to expect but Babs was nothing short of amazing.
All our family and friends were captured by Babs present and personality in the room, they couldn’t stop laughing and speaking so highly of Babs which had lead to one of my bridesmaid booking Babs for her wedding.
Babs sent us through a whole list of poems and reading to pick from and it was truly beautiful the ones Babs has. Once we picked everything out Babs sent us through a run of our ceremony and it was absolutely incredible.
We can’t thank you enough Babs for everything from the very beginning to the very end you have been wonderful.

Amazing and professional
Couldn’t recommend Barbara more! From the first interaction to the very last on our wedding day we felt so confident that we chose the right person for the job. Amazing Wedding Officiant
Consider yourself lucky if you have Rev Babs with you on your special day! She is amazing, from our first meeting we knew we were in good hands. She helped us plan all the special details for our ceremony at Malahide Castle. Our friends and family loved meeting her and the amazing way she shared our story and celebrated our new journey as newly weds! She helped plan special touches such as bringing decor for our alter, a candle to honor loved ones, lead a ring warming and a handfasting ceremony. She had all our vows printed and easy to read along with readings for our friends. Her energy is unmatched! She was willing to connect around any detail and meet virtually (we are from the USA and got married in Ireland). She will make your day seamless and one to never forget! We are so lucky to have her marry us!

Personal and incredible service
Barbara was fantastic, myself and my husband were blown away, she met us online numerous times before the wedding and was available in between for texts and phonecalls, she got to know us as a couple and listened to exactly what we wanted. We can’t recommend Barbara enough. She is exceptional at what she does. I wasn’t sure what type of ceremony I wanted but Barbara made it so easy for us. She went through ideas of what would work and really tailored the ceremony to us. What we loved was how personal the ceremony was. On the day itself Barbara made sure everything ran smoothly and all we had to do was sit back and enjoy the celebration. I loved every minute of it.

We had Rev Babs as our celebrant for our wedding in August 2025 and she was just amazing, we couldn’t have asked for more. Babs is warm, kind, funny and so knowledgeable on different types of ceremony. We didn’t know where to start and she gave us amazing guidance. Amazing Celebrant
Working with Barbara was an absolute delight. Throughout the whole planning process, she was unbelievably patient and thorough in answering all our questions and adapting to our changing circumstances; she was also generous in offering us her time for zoom meetings whenever we wanted to discuss something with her. The ceremony she created for us felt truly unique to us as a couple and made our wedding an unforgettable, magical experience. Barbara fit seamlessly into our pre-ceremony time (despite it being chaotic), socializing with guests and talking with the people who would be involved in the ceremony: she made them feel more comfortable and no one had anything but positive things to say about her. It was evident to us throughout the months leading up to our wedding and on the day itself that Barbara is an extremely caring person who puts a lot of effort into each couple's individual experience, and achieves the perfect balance of warmth and professionalism. She made us wish we could repeat our wedding just to work with her again!

The Perfect Celebrant
Barbara was everything we could have asked for in a celebrant and more. She was kind, professional, friendly, and soooo knowledgeable. She guided us through the entire process and was a real ray of sunshine on our big day. She made the ceremony so heartwarming and unique to us, she took suggestions and gave suggestions, and ultimately was the perfect celebrant. Incredible Warm Service
Barbara was incredible in the lead up to the wedding and on the day. We felt so comfortable with Babs. She made the ceremony so special and really tailored it to us. A special and personal ceremony
We couldn't have asked for a better celebrant for our wedding. From our first meeting with Barbara we knew we were in good hands. She advised us about the legal paperwork and sent us a reminder when it was due! When she talked us through our options for the ceremony we chose the hand fasting ceremony as it was a lovely way to have our mams included in the ceremony - it was very special.
A couple of months before the wedding we had a meeting with Barbara where she asked us about ourselves and how we met - she then weaved our story into the ceremony - it was so personal and special and we have had so many comments from guests saying how beautiful the ceremony was.
We highly recommend Barbara, she's brilliant :)

The most wonderful legal solemniser
I highly recommend Barbara as a legal solemniser to officiate your wedding. From the moment we contacted Barbara it was a straightforward and stress free process. We had a short video call to introduce ourselves and what type of ceremony we’d like. She was so reassuring as we don’t like a lot of attention on us but we felt so comfortable on the lead up to the day and during the ceremony we were so relaxed. Barbara is so efficient and sent us a gentle reminder to book an appointment with the HSE to get our green folder for the big day with plenty of time in advance so there was no panic. Barbara had such a kind, positive and relaxed demeanour that we knew she was the perfect person to marry us.

You are just amazing, from the get go and originally meeting you you put us both at ease and then from the second I saw you on my wedding day I felt so calm.
Every single person that was at the wedding said it was the most emotional lovely wedding ceremony they had ever been at. People even said they cried more then they did at their own wedding!
You put together the most gorgeous ceremony and the way you delivered it was just something else it brought mine and Gavin’s relationship to life. Myself and Gavin and everyone who was lucky enough to be there will never forget it.
All I can say is thank you for everything you are just amazing at what you do and if I could do it all again in the morning I would.

Barbara is an absolute lady who delivered our ceremony just beautifully. It was all done so easily & professionally and took a lot of work from us, planning a wedding can be a stressful period but when you book the right celebrant it's certainly not. A lovely service from Rev Babs
Barbara Allen was the celebrant for our wedding at our family home in Kildare in August, she was so wonderful to work with. She was so helpful in suggesting the layout of the service, tailoring it to suit us and our story. Incredible
Barbara performed our wedding ceremony in June. After seeing her performing a wedding ceremony previously, there was no doubt that we were going to book her. She holds the guests in the palm of her hand. Guests were commenting all day on how beautiful and personal our ceremony was. The planning process was made so easy by Barbara, we would highly recommend her.

We cannot thank Rev. Barbara enough. The service was out of this world and way beyond our expectations. Rev. Babs did an incredible job and ensured our day was truly memorable. We had Barbara as our celebrant in May 2024, there aren’t enough words to say how much we adored having her part of our big day. Her attention to detail, the time she gave to us as a couple and the beautiful ceremony she put together for us was second to non. We are just about 4 months past and people are still commenting on how beautiful and emotional our ceremony was and how she based it solely on us as a couple and our beautiful daughters. We are forever grateful for what she did and how she was for our big day.

We are both so, so happy we booked Barbara for our wedding. From the moment I inquired to Barbara about being our celebrant right up to our wedding day Barbara could not have been more helpful and brilliant to deal with. Barbara really took the time to get to know us both over our zoom calls, asking us about our story in detail and how we met to really get a sense of us as a couple before finalizing details for our ceremony and was available at any time to answer any of our questions and to give advice on different aspects of the ceremony.
The ceremony was everything we could have hoped for and more, it was so beautiful and all of our friends and family absolutely loved it and are still raving about it 6 months later.
It was beautiful with so many personal touches added in about how we met and our life together which made this part of our wedding so personal and special, it was amazing and we are so grateful to Barbara for such a beautiful wedding ceremony that we will never forget.

Exactly what we were hoping for, and then some!
Babs did an amazing job for our wedding back in February. Many of our guests came up to us afterwards and said that they were very impressed with the celebrant and that they had never seen a service as special and unique as ours. She did a great job tailoring it to us specifically and capturing our love story. I highly recommend Babs for anybody looking to make their special day even more special

I love that she has videos on her website, it gives a real sense of her personality which shined through the whole time we were planning our ceremony and on the day itself.
