We had to email you and thank the lads for an amazing job at our wedding. We loved the song list, the performances and the energy the lads brought to our wedding. They catered for everyone, young and old. We really wanted a band that could do it all and the Best Men, sure did deliver! Lots of our guests raved about the lads in the days after the wedding. Also special thanks to the DJ. He was very accommodating at all times. We would love to attend another wedding these guys are playing at it. Hopefully we will be soon!

Genuinely every single guest at our wedding raved about them - a few people kept going to leave but just kept coming back to the dance floor!

We are so happy to have had The Kooky Ukes and The Best Men as part of our big day at Cloughjordan House on 7th June 2024! We knew immediately in our destination wedding planning that they were the groups for us with their unique, amazing sounds and set lists – and they absolutely delivered and more! During our ceremony, The Kooky Ukes performed beautiful and meaningful songs to us from start to finish - and they added fun flair to our drinks reception with their upbeat sound. Having a ukelele group perform was a special nod to my dad, who also plays and radiates positivity just like the sound of the instrument, so it was incredibly neat to have that incorporated into our wedding day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! Fast forward to the night time, The Best Men were simply put… the best! They performed our first dance song “Beyond” by Leon Bridges so beautifully, and it was followed by gorgeous performances of “In My Life” by The Beatles for my Father/Daughter (Bride) dance and “Danny’s Song” by Loggins and Messina for my husband’s Mother/Song (Groom) dance. And after those special moments, the dance floor kicked off for all of our guests with high energy performances of fantastic, fun, crowd-pleasing tunes. They kept all of our guests moving and grooving ‘til the end, and we are so grateful! What a great day into night to The Kooky Ukes and The Best Men! Endless thanks!

We can’t recommend this band highly enough. Joanna was an absolute pleasure to deal with from the moment we sent our first enquiry email. Fast professional responses, always helpful and pleasant. This really put us at ease. The venue we used also knew this band well from doing other weddings there and when we told them we booked the Best Men they told us we made a brilliant choice! On the wedding day the lads arrived on time and set up like clockwork. They played our chosen first Dance song flawlessly and from that moment had everyone smiling and dancing for the whole night. It’s a small enough room and their sound was absolutely amazing! , not loud at all, just perfect for the space. Finally the quality of these musicians performance was top of the range! There were many musicians amongst our guests who were all really impressed by how great these guys can sing & play! Again, we highly recommend this band..they had all ages up dancing to their fantastic wide repertoire of songs. Thanks again Joanna and the lads for making our wedding party so memorable! The Best Men were incredible! They had people of all ages out on the dance floor all night. When they took a break in the middle, we had guests coming up to us saying how great the band was and how much fun they were having. When we let them know they were only half way done, everyone's excitement shot right back up and we continued to party the night away.
The band was very easy to work with and learned 3 new songs for us to do our Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances to without any problems. They had a nice variety of songs ready to go and were constantly making adjustments to keep everyone out on the dance floor going.
People continued to rave about the band the next day at breakfast. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a wedding band.

Just wanted to say thank you for all your help leading up to the wedding. Also could you please pass on our thanks to the band. We are really delighted we went with them.
I barely got a moment to speak to them on the day - but that in itself I am thankful for as there was so much going on and the band just making the right decisions was such a help. The ceremony music was perfect and the evening music had everyone up. I would recommend the guys without hesitation.

I just wanted to send you an email to say thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day such great craic! It was a testament to yee that for such an unbelievably nice evening weather wise that would usually have our lot outside, that the dance floor was never empty!
I worked at a lot of weddings throughout my college years and can honestly say yee are deff one of the best bands.
Friends and family are still commenting on how good both the band and DJ was!

I've been wanting to get in touch with you and all the lads to tell you how delighted we were on the night of the wedding with the amazing show the guys put on for us, we are so grateful and feel so lucky to have had such a talented group of musicians, individually and collectively, perform for us and our guests, they were just brilliant, and so many people have gotten in touch with us to say how much they enjoyed the band and the music. If you could please pass on our thanks and well wishes to all the lads we would be very grateful :) We also really want to thank Jonathan and the lads for very kindly preparing Who Knows Where the Time Goes so that we could have it as a back up first dance (and then playing it for us on the night after already doing a fab job of playing our original first dance, Let There Be Love! We really appreciate the understanding and the time and effort that went into all of that for us, so thank you again to the band for that.
I also want to say thank you to you for all your help, guidance and understanding in the lead up to our wedding, we never got to meet but you were a pleasure to deal with here via email and also so prompt and professional as well, and I really appreciate all of that, so thanks Niamh :)
If you could also thank Aidan, our DJ for the night (I hope I heard him correctly when I asked his name - I think he said Aidan!!), he played so many great tunes, and we were delighted with how he included so many of the songs we requested, and he and was good craic too!

We would just like to say a big thank you first of all to the lads, the dancefloor was full for the night , which is more than we could have hoped for . They read the room perfectly and needed no input from ourselves to keep the atmosphere alive . They showed up on time and had the place set up and we?re ready to go without disturbing anybody, they all looked the part and sounded amazing. Myself and Nadine didn't leave the dancefloor for the night (partly because all our guests were on the dancefloor haha). Everybody was complementing the band and the DJ who was just as good and kept the party going all night. So, thank you so much for helping to make our wedding as great as it was.

We just wanted to pass on our gratitude to the band they were absolutely amazing and set such an amazing atmosphere for our wedding. We had everyone up dancing from all different generations and we have some great videos of it all. We couldn't of asked for more and we have had everyone comment to us about how amazing the band was. The DJ set was absolutely fantastic aswell and I loved how coordinated they were not replaying the songs that the band has already played. I just wanted to send a quick email to say a huge thank you to yourself and the Best Men/ Kooky Ukes for the wonderful music at our wedding! It was absolutely fantastic and we still have guests raving about them and asking who they were!
From the reception music, first dance to the last minute request for the father daughter dance, ye were such a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was ever a problem and the lads were so professional and easy going. Our meal went on longer than expected so the band didn't get to start til later but it still wasn't a problem for them. They played their whole set and had everyone up dancing and singing along the entire time!
They really added hugely to our special day. We couldn't have asked for more and would happily recommend them to anyone!
Thanks so much to yourself too Joanna for all your organising and liaising. You were so responsive and helpful any time we had a question and it made the whole planning process so much easier, especially when we had a few attempts at it!!

Not enough words on any review could explain our pure delight that not only government covid restrictions allowed us to have a band after so much anxious waiting, but the fact that we had The Best Men perform was the cherry on top of a fantastic day.
Without sounding like a cliche, it was the best day of our lives and we are so so happy and lucky that we had such energetic and enjoyable entertainment for our guests. They were just absolutely fantastic, we knew even from the showcase that we just absolutely had to have the Best Men perform at our wedding, and they did not disappoint! I must especially mention the sheer excitement from not just ourselves, but from all of the guests for the last dance which was Chuck Berry's ?You never can tell?. Without a doubt one of the biggest highlights of the evening when everyone did their best impression of the famous Pulp Fiction scene! We received great feedback from our guests that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the band so thank you so very much! The band had masterfully filled the room with so much energy for the evening, it wasn't before long that heels were kicked off and everyone was up for a boogie.
Thank you so much for making our special day so very memorable from the entertainment side. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending to anyone. Stop looking for a band, get The Best Men nailed down!! You will not regret it!

The Best Men are the Best Wedding Band ever!! We were lucky enough to have them playing at our wedding in August. They are incredibly talented musicians and really entertained the 50 people that were allowed to be in the room. They had us all up dancing and we loved every minute of their set. When booking the lads myself and my now husband watched promo after promo and we just kept coming back to the lads. There videos are so upbeat and different. So we booked. Then we went to a showcase and we were only delighted we went with our gut. We had an absolute ball of a time and everyone is still talking about ye.

From the moment we saw the lads at a showcase we both knew they would be brilliant for our wedding, but they were beyond! As you know the BEST MEN played at our wedding in Castleknock Hotel on the 29th of June and I just wanted to email you to tell you how brilliant they were! We booked both the band and a DJ through the best men.
They were both AMAZING!!! I cannot put into words how fab we thought they were. From start to finish of the whole process it was a breeze. Joanna is a pro at looking after all the admin and logistics and we never worried there would be any slip ups.
We had so many people say to us they have never seen a dance floor so packed at all times throughout the night. My parent were adamant we were having a band and we are so happy they pushed us to book one. Jack and I were barely off the dance floor because it was just so much fun!! I truly am lost for words to describe how good ourselves and our guests thought they were.
The only downside was we didn't get much of a chance to talk to them and thank them personally on the night!

To the Best Men!! Who literally were the best men at our wedding!! From start to finish they were so professional, they adapted to our guests straight away, the dance floor was full all night! What more could we ask for! Jonathon also helped my husband create a special moment with his best man doing a live Irish dancing session which we wil never forget! Absolutely amazing - booked The Best Men before seeing them (worth checking out their YouTube videos), and after we saw them at a showcase, we knew we had made the right decision. Had everyone up dancing for the whole night, and my own personal highlight was them playing Maniac 2000 at he end of the night - had everyone on the floor. Still getting complements weeks after the wedding, from everyone who enjoyed it.

They sang our first dance, played such a variety of tunes that old and young were up dancing all nigh and DJ was fantastic - gave him a couple of suggestions and he made an amazing playlist! Both took requests all night from the crowd! Recommend to anyone!

Just want to say a massive Thank you to the Best Men Band . They played at our Wedding on 28th July and the floor was not empty from start to finish they were AMAZING. Unbeknown to me and my huaband, my sisters in law decided to write a song for us. They were in contact with the band and the guys were kind enough to learn the lyrics and suprise us on the night of our wedding. It was Brilliant and something me, my husband and all our friends and family will never forget . It truely was one of the best nights and all thanks to you guy's. Also have to mention the girls in the office, such a pleasure to deal with from the start and nothing was ever a hassle.

We want to thank the band for an absolutely fantastic night last Saturday. From the moment the band started to when the DJ finished the dance floor was packed!!! I thought all of our mum and dads friends would be gone to bed at 12 o clock but they were still dancing at 2.30!!! The speeches and entertainment went on longer than we expected and the band were so accommodating and even played on longer than they were meant to, we really really appreciate this and it meant so much to us as everyone was enjoying themselves so much.

Well, if we could give more than 5 stars we would! Having the best men at our wedding really just made it perfect. Everyone raved about the music for the whole night. They had the dancefloor packed at all times. They were also very good at reading the crowd, there wasnt one song that didnt have everyone running to the floor! Adding the brass section really made them that little bit extra special. Also the DJ supplied was excellent and made the trasition from band to DJ seamless. We would absolutly recommend them to anyone. Worth every penny!

The Best Men band were amazing on the night. There was a continuos flow to the music which kept the party going. We got lots of comments on how professional they were. Dance floor was constantly full. We had a intimate wedding of 60 people but the 5 piece band were just perfect, not too loud or intruding. Paid a bit extra than the going rate but truly worth it. Would highly recommend them.

A HUGE thank you for all the music at our wedding on the 10th April in the Glenview. Everyone was RAVING about the music and really enjoyed it. To The Kooky Ukes, everyone thought you were such an unusually fantastic addition to a wedding and thought it was such a great idea to have pre-dinner music to get everyone in the mood. You really got the kids boogying too!?To The Best Men, you really knew the audience and when to change tactics and the dancefloor stayed full for the whole night. To the DJ, you played all our requested songs and had everyone flying til the end of the night. Everyone just wanted to stay partying all night (and did, in the residents bar;)). The guys were amazing on the day. Everyone came up to us to tell us how good they were. I have to say a special thanks to them for learning the " Rocky Road to Poland" the boys loved it. They played for all the folks and the dance floor was never empty you could hardly move and it's a MASSIVE dance floor. Thanks also to Pro DJs. He played everything I asked and more the dance floor was a sweaty mess but in a good way! We have passed your name on to a few people since I couldn't recommend you highly enough. Their set was non stop with a great genre/mix of music. All of our guests raved about how great they were on the night and in the days and weeks following our Wedding. In fact a lot of our guests felt like they had ran the marathon the next day they had danced that much !The lads were brilliant and we cannot put into words exactly how great they were. We knew they would be good but they simply surpassed our expectations and made our Wedding night one to remember for all the right reasons. We would strongly advise all potential Brides & Grooms to book The Best Men Wedding Band ASAP and do not look anywhere else!! Thank you so much for a wonderful night. Ye were fantastic. We danced all night long and the time the DJ came on we were truly wrecked! We never left the dance floor. Niamh, Jonathan and the rest of the band. On behalf of my husband, our guests and myself, we would like to say thank you so much for agreeing to play at our wedding. The guests were talking about the music for weeks after. Between the arrival reception which was so peaceful and entertaining to the full on show ye performed later on in the night. We are not big dancers and knew for the guests to get out on the floor we needed to be too. The thought kinda sacred me but without even thinking about it we never left the floor all night. Thank you for that.
Ye played the perfect music for the crowd. From what i heard, plenty of lads went for showers during the interval only to need another before bed. We can truly say we will recommend ye to others!

Can you please please please tell Margot she has the most amazing voice ? I know she has probably done tons of weddings over the summer but if she does remember ours, can you please tell her that everyone is still talking about how fantastic she was and that is not forgetting Jonathan!My one and only regret was not getting to speak to him and the band on the day itself to thank them ? they were even better than I could have imagined, honestly the dance floor was packed from the minute they started, seriously the manager of Ballymagarvey told me the next day it was a long time since they had a wedding as lively!!! Anyway, I have no doubt that you are inundated with bookings and ongoing weddings as the year continues to fly by but I just wanted to say thank you and I honestly cannot tell you what a vital role the music played in making our day perfect, I know that sounds completely pathetic but it really is true!

As a former gigging guitarist and huge music fan, I told my then fiancee that quite simply.. I'm choosing the band! The first time I saw The Best Men Wedding Band on youtube, I wanted them. We went to a wedding fair and 30 seconds into their demo, I formed a queue. They didn't disappoint in the slightest. The floor was jammed right from the first dance ? an amazing cover of Weller's ?You do something to me?, rite til the end of their set. The Jazz Duo for the drinks reception were great, not too loud to allow for conversation yet atmospheric. Thank both you and the band for the performance at our wedding on Friday 3rd June at Dunboyne Castle. The band were really fantastic on the night and catered for everyone's taste in music. The following day everyone was commenting on how good they were and how much they enjoyed the night. We just wanted to express our sincerest thanks and gratitude. The guys were fantastic. We meet them before they went on and the DJ which was great. Thank you so much for organising the music for the first dance and the guys were great, cutting it off at just the right moment- when our dance ended. Everything was seamless and everyone commented on how good they were! They had people up dancing that have never been seen dancing before and may never been again! Thank for making our wedding day so special. Their set list is brilliant, very well put together and i honestly don't think i left the floor all night and i never seen the floor empty once either, which is what you want on your wedding day. I would have to say that out of everyone we worked with for the occasion, working with you was the easiest experience as you had everything in order and all set from the start.Everyone absolutely loved the jazz duo at the outdoor reception as it really set the mood, and again, everyone was seriously impressed by The Best Men Wedding Band at the dance later in the evening. The DJ was brilliant and all knew exactly what to play to please all of our guests, both Irish and American, and of all ages. Every single guest danced and had a fabulous time as did myself and Mike. It was perfection and we would recommend them with much praise to anyone looking for entertainment in the future. Absolutely brilliant.

Just want to say a huge thank you to firstly you for help with arranging the Best Men Wedding Band to play at our wedding. You were a pleasure to deal with and everything ran so smoothly. Thank you and the band so much for playing at our wedding on the 11th June 2010 in Trim Castle Hotel. We got so many comments on how excellent the band was. The band were just amazing at our wedding in Castle Durrow on the 12th Dec. We didn't get a chance to thank them at the time but if you could pass on our thanks that would be great. I can't count the number of people who have said how much they liked the band too, they really got the party going and it was a great mix of tunes for young, old and in-betweeners! Thank you to Jonathan and the boys for their brilliant entertainment on the 21st November 2009 in the Athlone Springs Hotel. People both young and old have come back telling us how much they enjoyed the music and the dancing. The floor was kept busy all night long and their version of 'I Gotta Feelin' in particular has become the anthem of the night. The guys looked brilliant on stage as well and they really really got us in the mood to party! Also thanks to Jonathan for learning Jack L's version of 'Can't Get You Out of My Head', no other band would have done that for us. It was a pleasure dealing with you from the outset and we hope to see you playing at friends weddings in the coming years!

A huge thank you to you and the band, I meant to go up to them on the night but never got the chance to thank them. They were absolutely brilliant, the dancefloor was full all night, everybody from my young cousins to my granny's brother were up dancing, the music was such a great mix. Even the barman the next day commented on how brilliant they were and how they?d never seen a dance floor fill up from the first song. Everybody truly enjoyed it and can you say a special thank you to the band for letting my granddad get up and sing a song, it meant the world to me to have him do that, something I'll never forget!! Ill be recommending them to other brides at any chance I get! Thanks again :)

When planning a wedding there are so many things that a bride and groom can worry about, but not once did we worry about the band. On the day itself, the guys played our first song to perfection (Tom Baxter's Better) and no offence to Tom Baxter but I liked your version more! The music you played had everyone of all ages on the dance floor and everyone had such a great time. We have all the pictures to prove it! For any bride & grooms-to-be, honestly don't hesitate, these guys are brilliant!

The Best Men Wedding Band played at our wedding in April 2009 and were fantastic, they had all our guests of all ages up dancing all night long!! We had the Jazz Duo, the Band & DJ and it worked very well & made it very easy for us to co-ordinate, it was a great idea. We left it up to band to select most of the music except our first song and some last minute requests which were all played for us without any problems. Everyone remarked on what a great band they were. We couldn't have asked for anymore. Many thanks Niamh for all your help and of course to Jonathan & the lads. We got married in February 2009 in the Mount Wolseley Hotel, Carlow and The Best Men Wedding Band provided a jazz duo for our pre-reception plus the band and dj for the reception. They were absolutely fantastic. They had the dancefloor packed for the entire night and we've heard rave reviews from our guests about how brilliant the band were. I was so tired the next day because I didn't want to leave the dancefloor ? the music was just so good. Looking back on our DVD now I see people dancing that would never have danced before. We had a few special requests and the band played every single one of them. Booking with Niamh was a dream. She was so easy to deal with. To all couples out there looking for the perfect wedding band I can highly recommend The Best Men Wedding Band. You?d be mad to get anyone else!!

Hey, Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all the music at our wedding on the 10th April in the Glenview. Everyone was RAVING about the music and really enjoyed it. To The Kooky Ukes, everyone thought you were such an unusually fantastic addition to a wedding and thought it was such a great idea to have pre-dinner music to get everyone in the mood. You really got the kids boogying too! To The Best Men, you really knew the audience and when to change tactics and the dancefloor stayed full for the whole night. Anthony and Karen here we just want to say a huge thanks to you for all your help over the last few weeks.
As for the band they were just amazing from the minute they started to the finish. Johnathan is an amazing vocalist. The dance floor was never empty. The biggest compliment we can give them is that numerous people said to us that they didn't even know the dj had started. I am a hundred per cent sure ye will have numerous enquiries from people in west cork with regards the best men. Everyone was blown away. Also thanks for playing on so long I know ye didn need to. Also the dj brought the house down. So in all we can't say enough good about the whole experience.

The guys were amazing on the day. Everyone came up to us to tell us how good they were. I have to say a special thanks to them for learning the " Rocky Road to Poland" the boys loved it. They played for all the folks and the dance floor was never empty you could hardly move and it's a MASSIVE dance floor. Thanks also to Pro DJs. He played everything I asked and more the dance floor was a sweaty mess but in a good way!

Hello Niamh, We are just back this week after a lovely honeymoon, and I just wanted to thank you and the Best Men for the wonderful job you did for us. The dancefloor was full all night, and every single person at the wedding was on it at some point, if not all night. They were truly brilliant and we were blown away, everyone loved them, the dj ws brilliant also at keeping the party going. Thanks for fitting in the songs that I requested, it was great and meant a lot - we?ll have no hesitation passing on your details to anyone in future, and would be delighted to do so!! Rich was wondering if the band had any idea of some of the songs that they played, or a play list still hanging around, he loved them so much, he wanted to have like a little playlist of our wedding party to have a homecoming celebration to.

My (now) husband and I booked the Best Men for our wedding in the Brooklodge Hotel in May 2013. From the moment of our first inquiry Niamh had been an absolute joy to deal with, everything ran so smoothly. Niamh was very helpful and made the whole booking process so easy.
In deciding between our favourite bands we went to see each band play a few times. Niamh was great in giving us all the details of any upcoming events that the Best Men would be playing at so we had no problem finding the time to go see them. After the 2nd viewing we realised we?d seen the best and we went ahead and booked the band.
The band themselves were so easy to deal with and they had no problem playing us a special song for our first dance - we were absolutely delighted they were able to play this for us. This was a song not on their repertoire list - we wanted a particular song but arranged differently to the original. We were expecting to be told that it couldn't or wouldn't be done but it was no problem. The song on the day was perfect, we were so happy.
From the first dance until the band finished - they were amazing. Everyone at the wedding really enjoyed the music and thought the band were great.
We also booked the Saxophonist to play with the band -we weren't disappointed - he was brilliant.
So if you?re booking a band for an event, or even better - a wedding, check out the Best Men - you won't be disappointed.

Niamh you were so lovely to deal with in the run up to things.. always very professional and prompt in your responses. The band were fantastic on the night. As a former gigging guitarist and huge music fan, I told my then fianc?e that quite simply.. I'm choosing the band! The first time I saw The Best Men on youtube, I wanted them. We went to a wedding fair and 30 seconds into their demo, I formed a queue. They didn't disappoint in the slightest. The floor was jammed right from the first dance - an amazing cover of Weller's 'You do something to me', right until the end of their set. An absolute class act that helped make the best night of our lives even better!

Firstly, my thanks to you Niamh, you were the height of professionalism and gave me great confidence that I was dealing with a reputable outfit. On the day, the band were fabulous. I just wanted to drop you a note to thank both you and the band for the performance at our wedding on Friday 3rd June at Dunboyne Castle. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, every one had a brilliant time, and our guests are still talking about ye!! The mix of music was brilliant for all ages!!
