Vila Monte - Farmhouse - Algarve

The 30th of April 2016 was the date of our magical wedding in the cozy but stylish Vila Monte hotel. It was more than we could possibly imagine and attempting to put our experience in words proves to be a difficult task.

It was a long quest, looking for the perfect location, then in October 2015 we arrived at the Vila Monte hotel for afternoon tea. My fianc? Caspar felt happy and comfortable from the first minute.

Carla, yes Carla, always punctual and quick responding to the many questions. and at short notice we were given a tour of the function rooms and bedrooms. The character, style history and elegance of the hotel won my heart. By the time we got to the superior suites I was completely overwhelmed and the tears began. There was no doubt in my mind we had found our venue.
We discussed availability and were given further information as to packages available. It was wonderful, the service was without doubt first class.

Carla was an enormous support to us throughout the process, taking time to listen to our requests, help us in our final decision making and coordinate with our local wedding planner and others as needed.

Family, friends, Caspar and I all checked in a few days before the wedding. We stayed in room number 49, a suite fit for royalty. I cannot emphasise enough just how person centred the staff were, truly lovely people.

The wedding day could not have been more beautiful. The staff pulled out all the stops and the magic was felt by everyone who joined us. We were fortunate the sun was shining which allowed us wander and take photos in the magnificent vast gardens. It also facilitated time for the children to use up some of their energies. We and our guests enjoyed the drinks reception, we were served Dom Perigon champagne. No surprise all were delighted. The meal itself was flawless and the service superb. We took a moment during the meal to recognise how lucky we were to have this beautiful opportunity.

On reflection, I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to enjoy without question the best day of my life in Vila Monte hotel.

Vilamonte made our wedding day the best day of our lives! The staff was very helpfull and during the day they were always available and always quick to respond, accompanying us throughout all the process for us to have a wonderful wedding. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the place very peacefull. My husband and I can't say enough good things about Vilamonte and the staff. Thank you!
