Armada Hotel

The Armada Wedding Team are absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, they are all so lovely to deal with and so helpful. No task is too big, no question is an inconvenience. They have thought of every single detail. We were treated like royalty on the day. I truly cannot say a bad word about any aspect of the hotel. All the staff we met were kind and helpful, not just the wedding team. The food was incredible, cocktails were delicious and the decor beautiful. If you want a top class wedding with not much effort on your part - this is for you. Would choose them again every time.

We cannot put into words just how grateful we are to the Armada for how perfect they made our wedding day. From start to finish Robyn was on hand to keep the stress levels at zero. So many of our guests commented on how fantastic she is at her job. She made the planning process so easy and fun, and was so encouraging with any ideas we had-the ultimate hype woman!

The hotel is beautiful, clean and makes a massive effort in terms of sustainability. The food is stunning, and plentiful, and the menu options are a step above most wedding menus. The function room is bright, with an amazing view, and works really well for weddings. The bar is in the main room so guests don't have to leave to get a drink, and the room is wide so no one has to fight their way across the dance floor to get to the bar! The decor and stationery provided by the hotel is gorgeous, but they were also willing to work with our ideas, so everything fitted together seamlessly.

Possibly our favourite element of the Armada is Johnny Burkes pub, which has the cosiest vibe. It was ideal for the night before and the late night element of the wedding day. It also made for some of the most perfect photos, which we will cherish forever.

Every part of the day was beyond our expectations. Our guests were raving about the hotel, the food and how friendly and accommodating all the staff were. So many people are planning to come back and stay, and we're praying we get to attend another wedding there ourselves!

Robyn was delightful from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and the day went beautifully. The food was unreal and everyone raved about the whole day.

My wife & I got married at the Armada in May 24. From start to finish we were looked after by all of the staff. Robyn, Grainne & Marita were all extremely professional and knew their stuff. Grainne was our celebrant and we couldn't have picked a better person. Our guests loved it and said it was the best wedding they had ever been too. We can't thank everyone at the Armada enough!

The hotel was the perfect place for our wedding. So many guests complemented the service and the beauty of the hotel and it's surroundings. The staff went above and beyond for us and made us feel so calm on our wedding day. Nothing was too much to ask for and the room set up, both ceremony and dining room was perfect.

We had our wedding reception in the Armada this summer and we honestly can't thank them enough for going over and above and putting so much effort into making our day so special. Marita, Robyn and Grainne are all absolutely amazing, they were so happy to help with every stage of the planning and went out of their way to make our day perfect. All of the staff in the Armada are so friendly and kind, all of our guests commented on how well they were treated and how helpful every single person was. We honestly had the best weekend from start to finish, and couldn't recommend the Armada enough for anyone planning their wedding.

The Armada were a pleasure to deal with. Everyone went above and beyond for us on our day. The attention to detail was second to none.

We are thrilled we choose to get married in the Armada. Firstly, the location is stunning (we were also able to take a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher to get some stunning wedding photos there). The venue itself is beautiful decorated, wonderfully incorporating the spectacular views with lots of windows and light. The food is also of the high standard you would expect. The biggest thing for me was the friendliness and good nature of the staff. Their attitude is infectious and adds to the good feel vibe of the weekend. Last but not least, the three wedding co-ordinators - Marita, Grainne and Robyn, are fantastic and really go out of their way to make your day special. Any issue you might encounter, they've probably seen it before and know how to resolve it. Stunning Venue, Brilliant Staff!

The Armada was the best choice for our wedding, we are so so happy we made this choice. Our wedding coordinator grainne was fantastic, and couldn't have done enough for us at every step of the journey. We planned from outside Ireland and they were so responsive to emails and had regular zooms with us throughout the process. The day itself ran like clockwork and we couldn't have been happier with everything! Our guests were so impressed with all the little touches and how amazing all the staff were.

We could not fault one thing with our wedding experience in the Armada Hotel. From the staff, to the food everything was perfect. The new renovations are fantastic and just add to what was an already 5star experience. Would 100% recommend the Armada to other wedding couples.

I can't put into words how amazing our experience with the Armada was. Marita and Grainne went above and beyond to help us plan our perfect day. We didn't have a hiccup the whole way through. It's a beautiful venue in a stunning location with 5 star food and service. We can't thank them enough :)

WOW! From start to finish the Armada team were incredible!! Nothing was an issue to them, any little request we had, they made it work. Grainne is an amazing person and brilliant wedding coordinator, we were so lucky to have met and worked with her! They really made our dream wedding a reality!

Can't recommend the Armada enough! We had our day back in November and it was the most perfect in Spanish point. From when we went looking for a venue we were treated like a king and queen. Our wedding coordinators Marita and Grainne were excellent with such attention to detail and always on hand to give any advise when we needed it in the planning stages. When the day itself came Marita was brilliant, everything was perfect, she was on hand all day even to help with my hair issues after a trip to windy Doolin ha :) We had the best day and we were so happy with the service we recieved. All our guests were raving about the venue also and those staying could not fault it. Its nice to know that its not just the bride and groom that are cared for at this exceptional level! Can't wait to make a trip back to see that spectacular view again and have some of their amazing food.

We are delighted we chose the Armada. We were treated like family everytime we visited! Grainne is just outstanding at her job. Our day was perfect. Our guests still rave about the venue, service and food.

We cannot thank the Armada enough for all the effort that went into ensuring we had a wedding we will treasure forever. We constantly have guests tell us that it was the best wedding they have even been at and that's all down to their wonderful team. Our wedding coordinator Grainne was exceptional! Her input not only on the day, but in the lead up too, was invaluable. She is one in a million. There is no where else I would have chosen to have my wedding - it was faultless from start to finish.

Absolutely fantastic location amazing scenic view from the wedding room. Food was amazing guest still talking about it. Grainne was exceptional to deal with everything was hassle free. Couldn't recommend this venue enough!

From the stunning location to the amazing staff I can't fault anything about our Wedding in the Armada except maybe the weather but they can't control that!! We were so lucky to have Grainne as our wedding planner and from our first meeting with her we were completely blown away with her. Her friendliness, professionalism and warmth were second to none. No matter what we wanted it was never a problem and what's more we got so many tips and hints from her also. In the lead up to the wedding the hands on approach was fantastic and it was brilliant that so much stress was taken from us as the hotel do so much for the couple. On the day itself everything went perfectly, all the staff went above and beyond including replacing the grooms shirt after he burnt a hole in it while ironing it that morning and all of our guests said it was one of the bests weddings they have ever been too and I know some of our guests have since gone back to the Armada for their own stay as they were so impressed. We can never thank Grainne and indeed all the staff for giving us the day of our dreams and they will forever hold a special place in our hearts x

I can't recommend the Armada Hotel enough. We had been to one wedding there before but we knew that the Armada was where we wanted our wedding (we didn't bother even looking at any other venues!)
The location is absolutely stunning. Even if the weather is miserable, it doesn't impact things.
As my family is from West Limerick, all my immediate family stayed at the hotel the night before. It was like everyone had been briefed as to who we were - they couldn't do enough for us from the reception staff to Tony in the front of house at the restaurant and all of the waitressing staff. Although I suspect they are like that anyway!! :)
The day of the wedding was perfect. Grainne the coordinator was really great. Cool, calm and collected to be precise. In fairness, we had such a chilled out morning as everything (ceremony and afters) was in the hotel. But it was the little touches - like the hotel having sandwiches and scones sent up the room as we were getting our hair and make-up done, Grainne looking after our decorations and putting out our cake. All of that added up to making the set up for the day so easy.
The ceremony space was beautiful - we got a gazebo through Grace Events and there was a red carpet entrance for us. The space was set out beautifully.
For the drinks reception we had mojitos, ice-cream and canapes - which all the guests loved. Grainne and some of the staff made it their business to find me and my new husband to ensure that we had some as well (as we were off taking pictures!), which was great.
The dinner itself was superb!! So much food on offer, cooked perfectly. We got the confit of duck leg, vegetable soup, choice of chicken or roast leg of lamb, and a trio of desserts. It was yummy.

My advice to other people looking at this venue - look no further! Our date for the wedding was based on two things - the availability of this hotel and the availability of the celebrant we wanted. We didn't have a special date in our head.
Prior to the wedding, all of the coordinators, Grainne, Marita and Claire, were very helpful. We dealt with them via email. All of the set-up, tasting, table plans etc were done efficiently and with no delay or drama. Even when we asked for a large top table (for 24 people!) and regular tables for everyone else, it was done with no hassle. Also the hotel has gone through some updates to the rooms and function room / reception areas so it's all very fresh.
5 stars throughout - highly recommended!

The Armada Hotel went above and beyond all my expectations for our wedding. Being in the industry myself and a lot of our guests also, we felt a bit of pressure to put on a spectacular day! We were put completely at ease by Marita, the hotels amazing wedding coordinator, no request was too big. So many guests commented on how perfect everything was which is the most wonderful thing to hear! The day itself was flawless, except for the weather but it really didn't matter, it kept everyone together! All the staff were so wonderful to deal with. I was planning the day from abroad and the hotel were so helpful and accommodating with anything we needed. A week has passed now and we're still on such a high! I've never had a better experience and I couldn't recommend it enough. We can wait to return!

Location-out of this world, hotel- stunning ???? Staff overall - so professional, nothing was too big or too little a task for them to take on, whole wedding co-ordinating team OUTSTANDING, so kind, they really made our special day so relaxing we just knew everything was under control and that made our day run so smooth we are ever so thankful to them and have the most cherished memories from that whole weekend xxxx

We cannot speak highly enough of the Armada Hotel and the quality service that Claire and her team provided on the day. They made our big day so special for us as we felt so relaxed from the moment we arrived into the hotel and we look back now with great memories.

I work as a wedding photographer and I have worked in over a hundred hotels all over the country. When myself and my fiance Laura walked in to the Armada Hotel we knew that this was the venue for our wedding instantly. It ticked all the boxes. It's beautiful location, above average wedding reception room and friendly staff made it a easy decision for us. Frank and Grainne answered all our questions and dealt with any issues in a prompt and professional manner in the run up to the big day. On the day everything ran smoothly. All the guests were raving about the quality of food at the meal. Grainne provided great help on the day on keeping everything on track. She remembered things that we had forgotten about. We were absolutely delighted with hotel and we could not recommend this venue more highly to any potential couples.

From the minute we met Marita and she showed us around the hotel we knew it was the place for us to get married. We cannot say enough about how helpful, flexible, professional and friendly Marita and all of the staff were in the hotel. Nothing was a problem. The day was so relaxed and went off without a hitch and much of this was down to the organisation and approach from the staff team. The food was excellent all of our guests have commented on this and the friendliness of the staff. To Marita and the staff team thank you so much for making our day so special.

Alan my husband and I got married this year at the Armada Hotel, Spanish Point in April 2016. Being both from Co. Clare we fell in love with the Armada and the picturesque surroundings of the west and being right beside the Atlantic Ocean, we knew it was the right location for us.

Nothing was an issue, everything we requested in the hotel was heard. From dealing with Claire and (Marita our Wedding Co-Ordinator) they were a pleasure to work with and very helpful and Frank the general manager who assisted us on our departure. We had the best wedding weekend that we could have ever had.

They pride themselves in giving the best local quality they can give which they do. Always improving their service and the renovations in the hotel especially this year when they upgraded some rooms and the new Ocean Bar which was just finished in time for our wedding in April. We can't wait to return for Christmas with our family to bring back all the lovely memories we shared and on our first anniversary next year.

We had very little to worry about when it came to the venue , which was a great relief . We knew the Armada Hotel had it all covered and the day would go smoothly . The food was great and the service we great also aside from few wobbly trays and glass mishaps from the younger staff but all a learning curve for them. The room was set up beautifully , with fabulous table d?cor. If I was to do it all over again , I would choose the Armada Hotel again, but I would have chosen the Pig on Spit for the next day ,oppose to after's food, as it was not out on the floor long enough for all the wedding party to enjoy.

From the first day of contact to our Wedding day Marita from the Armada hotel couldnt do enough for us she was wonderful.

We don't know where to begin or how to praise this hotel, it`s staff, food and location highly enough. They made our most memorable day in life to be WAY beyond our expectations!!!
The planning process was made simple and enjoyable by our Wedding Co-ordinator, Marita. It was easily tailored to what we desired as a couple and within our budget. They have fantastic packages available to suit many different budgets and styles.
Marita, was excellent! She was always there to answer any query we had (and always with a smile). A real experienced professional who made the planning easy going, stress free and fun. I still can't believe how perfect she got the day as we had loads of bits and pieces we had brought ourselves to add to the day (message in bottles, bathroom baskets, etc) and they were all slotted in to perfection!
The staff are not just excellent but are the nicest, friendliest people who obviously enjoy what they are doing everyday. The food on our wedding day was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Every one of our guests were raving about the food! In planning our menu, there were so many different options to choose from and each as nice as the other. I don't think you will beat this location anywhere in the country... where else would you be right on the Atlantic coast with views that will make you stand still?! All of these added together make for a dream wedding location.
We have already been back for two nights since our wedding and many of our guests have been down or are planning to return after such an enjoyable time at our wedding!!!

The Armada Hotel was the most perfect wedding venue, stunning setting, beautiful function room and incredible food. Many of our guests told us it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. The staff were just brilliant, responding to our every request, nothing was too much. I would not hesitate in recommending this venue to anyone!!

We got married at this amazing venue in July 2015. From the day we booked to the days after the wedding and since then we couldn't be happier. The professionalism shown by Marita and her team is second to none, everything was so easy. The variety of packages is amazing and the flexibility shown by the hotel when choosing our package was great. Nothing was too much to ask for. The atmosphere every time we visited and on our big day was so relaxed and enjoyable. The day was everything we asked for and more, it was perfect. We can't thank the Burke family, Marita, Frank and their team enough and we also can't recommend them all and the venue enough. Anyone thinking of getting married in Clare need to go to the Armada hotel.

Our wedding was fabulous even though the weather turned on the day and we had to change the layout of the whole ceremony it worked out great!

I would have no hesitation recommending any couple to book their wedding at the armada. You are in the best hands and they will look after every aspect of your day from start to finish.
We found Marita the wedding coordinator so helpful and professional to deal with. She was amazing in how she coordinated the details of our day. Her team and the hotel manager frank were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The armada have a huge variety of packages so you can add to suit your own budget. They are very flexible and I am sure they would have something or a package to suit every bride and grooms needs. All our guests travelled for the wedding. The food was sensational. People remarked on the staff, the service, the quality of the food and of course the function room was decorated amazingly. We were so impressed with our wedding day. Marita and her team at the armada made sure we had nothing to worry about and everything down to little details were taken care of. We have since been back as guests for a friends wedding and the food and service was impeccable. We are hoping to stay down there for our first wedding anniversary in December. Any bride and groom looking for a beautiful winter or summer venue by the sea you will not go wrong with this amazing hotel.

I have been meaning to write since we got back from honeymoon. I wanted to take the
time to thank you sincerely for making our wedding day the best day that we could have
imagined. So much planning goes into the there but there is so much that is outside of your
control and you put trust in others to make it as perfect as you would yourself. Your staff
exceeded our expectations and we were truly grateful for the professionalism your staff
showed at all times. All of our guests commented on the food, staff and overall experience
of staying at the Armada. We had a BBQ the next day and there was another wedding
happening at the same time yet again we were made feel like we were the only ones in the
hotel. Marita could not have done enough for us. I would like to name all your staff
individually and thank them but I cannot remember all of their names. Susie always
answered my calls and questions with a massive can do attitude, nothing was too much
and no questions too silly (I am sure I asked a lot of silly questions). The banqueting
manager was so attentive on the day also. All of your staff from the front of house,
housekeeping and the entire management team are truly wonderful and an extremely
professional bunch of people that are a credit to your hotel. I would recommend your hotel
100% to anyone getting married or just visiting. Thanks again from the bottom of our
hearts.

Top standards of efficiency from all parties involved. We could not have chosen a more
