Barberstown Castle was the perfect venue for our wedding — it exceeded every expectation and made our crazy idea into a reality. We planned everything from Arizona and the Barberstown team made it unbelievably easy. From our first email to the moment we left as newlyweds, the entire process was seamless, personal, and stress-free.

The venue itself is breathtaking. The food was phenomenal (our guests are literally still talking about it!) and every single member of staff was amazing. I still can't believe how flawlessly the day ran thanks to them.

A huge thank you to the entire Barberstown team for making us feel so welcome, even from thousands of miles away. We truly couldn’t recommend Barberstown Castle more — if you’re looking for a dream setting, incredible food, and a team that genuinely cares, this is the place. We got married in Barberstown almost 4 weeks ago. From start to finish everything exceeded our expectations. Everything was absolutely incredible and we would only love to do it all again because it was so perfect. The staff are brilliant and so well organised. We were lucky enough to have Richard, Jane, Emma and Jess look after us throughout the day and they are a credit to the team. The food was such a stand out, every guest commented on how it was the best wedding meal they had ever had. They have an amazing team of chefs!! We are so delighted to have had the most amazing wedding this summer in Barberstown Castle. From the moment we saw the venue in 2024 we were sold - the reception hall and banquet room are absolutely stunning and so different from everywhere else we have been. The food on the day was incredible and received the highest of compliments from all of our guests - the fillet of beef and pea soup went down a storm!

We have to give a huge thank you to all of the amazing staff - Richard, Deryn, Emma, Sarah (accommodation), Aidan (Bar) - you were all incredible and made our day so special. In particular, our Wedding Coordinator Deryn was one of the nicest and most organised people I have met - she was so attentive to all of the hundreds of phone calls and emails I made in the run-up to the wedding and an absolute superstar on the day.

We would highly recommend Barberstown Castle and our Wedding Coordinator Deryn to other couples, particularly for brides that are detail-orientated! The food, staff, location, and overall ambiance was incredible - we are hoping to be invited to a wedding in Barberstown so we can experience it all again! Thank you!

We had our wedding in April, and it truly was the most incredible experience from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—steeped in history, with a magical charm that made our day feel completely unique. The ballroom and ceremony room were breathtaking, creating the perfect atmosphere for both our ceremony and celebration.

A special mention must go to our wedding planner, Deryn, who was simply exceptional. She was incredibly organised, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. No request was ever too much—her calm and professional manner made the entire planning process stress-free.

The food was outstanding—guests are still complimenting it weeks later! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The staff throughout the day were equally amazing—friendly, professional, and so welcoming to all of our guests. They genuinely made everyone feel special.

We couldn’t recommend Barberstown Castle highly enough for a wedding. If you’re looking for a venue that offers elegance, character, and an exceptional level of service, this is it. A truly unforgettable experience.

Barberstown is an absolute dream wedding venue! The open fires lighting, the candles, the decor of the banqueting hall was beautiful and exactly what we wanted for our castle wedding! Our wedding coordinator unfortunately left a few weeks before our wedding date but Sinead picked up the position and took us though the final stages without an issue! The staff could not do enough for us, especially Aidan the barman - he was a star and was with us for our post wedding get together in the haggard bar the following day. The wedding meal itself was outstanding, the staff went around with seconds for anyone who wanted it, glasses never left empty for long either!
Breakfast the next morning was exceptional as was the bottle of champagne that accompanied it! The room was spotless and comfortable with a separate dressing room, jacuzzi bath and separate shower.
Could not find fault in anything apart from the time went too fast!

We had the most incredible experience with Barberstown Castle and cannot recommend them highly enough as a wedding venue. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make our day everything we dreamed of and more.

From the very beginning, the staff were friendly, professional, and always quick to respond to any questions. A huge thank you to Sinead and her team, who guided us through the planning process with such care and organisation over the year leading up to the wedding. In the final weeks, Sinead and the team were absolutely brilliant — making sure everything came together perfectly and that the day ran smoothly from start to finish. Thanks to them we were able to truly relax and enjoy every moment, knowing we were in the best hands.

The venue itself is stunning — full of charm, history, and elegance — and we felt the wedding package offered amazing value for everything that was included. A big shout out to the team in the kitchen, the food was a real standout. The head chef created an incredible meal that our guests are still talking about to this day.

Barberstown Castle exceeded every expectation we had. If we could do it all again (and trust me when I tell you my guests are asking us to do it again), we absolutely would — in the exact same place! Barberstown was the perfect choice for our wedding. We wanted something a little different, without compromising on amenities, and Barberstown was that and more! Deryn and Sinéad were fabulous, and were always willing to accommodate our whims, questions and ideas! On the day in particular, the staff at every level were AMAZING. The food was the best I have ever had at a wedding, and everything ran really smoothly. I would recommend to anyone deciding on venues in Ireland to go with Barberstown, it was better than we ever could have imagined!

From the moment we first toured Barberstown , we were impressed by the beauty of the location and the professionalism of your team. Every detail, from the setup to the service, exceeded our expectations. Your staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that our guests felt welcome and comfortable.

When choosing our wedding venue we were lucky enough to strike gold with our first viewing, Barberstown Castle. In fact we only looked at one more venue after this as we knew we had found the right place having met Annie and been showing around the stunning grounds.

The day itself couldn’t have gone better and we were one of those rare Irish weddings that got to have the ceremony outside in the sunshine. Annie, Ted, Deryn and all the team ensured we didn’t have a moments stress throughout the day and many of our guests still rave about the food there (the broccoli and blue cheese soup was the unsung hero of the day).

We continued the party into day 2 in The Haggard Bar which is tailor made for all day 2 parties.

One of our abiding memories of the weekend is the friendliness of all the staff and this is something we noticed anytime we called in before the wedding. We have to give a special mention to Aidan, Sean & John who went above and beyond as part of the bar team throughout the weekend.

We had an amazing wedding weekend at Barberstown Castle! We chose Barberstown because they would let our little dog be apart of the ceremony and be with us throughout the day, they had enough accommodation on site for my family traveling from abroad, and they had stunning indoor and outdoor areas. The rehearsal dinner the evening before was a magical intimate affair inside the castle itself, on the wedding day people enjoyed the beautiful gardens and patio as well as the medieval banquet hall, and on the day 2 everyone could relax in the on site shebeen for some music. The food on all of the days was beyond our expectations and raved about by our guests. We highly recommend Barberstown Castle!

The rooms were dreamy and the amazing staff were just incredible. We started with a rehearsal dinner in the castle keep the night before - a lovely opportunity for our families to meet and mingle. The food and service were incredible and really got the excitement going for the big next day.
Us and our guests were blown away on the actual day - everything went so smoothly and the attention to deatil was perfect. Everyone could not get over how good the food was (and how much!) And also how lovely the staff were. Special mentioned to the 2 bar staff who put up with us until 3:30am - they were just amazing and kept the fun atmosphere going!
Highlight for me personally was the amazing photo opportunities everywhere - the rooms getting ready, the ceremony space, the great spots outdoors around the castle - so many amazing memories with the most perefect back drop. Organising a wedding abroad can be tough but Barberstown and Annie in particular made it a breeze. Forever grateful - thank you Barberstown Castle.

The venue was breathtaking, the staff were so warm and helpful, food was perfection, Annie and Olivia the wedding planners ensured a stress free experience.

We cannot recommend Barberstown Castle enough as a wedding venue. We popped into them on a whim and couldn't be happier that we did! We visited in December, with all the Christmas decorations up and it was magical. Annie is phenomenal - no question was too silly and she always made us feel welcome. Her personalised touch made it feel like we were the only wedding taking place in the year we planned it. The food was delicious and they came around with seconds for everyone. I could not compliment every single staff member more than we did on Day 2, from waitstaff to bar staff, and everyone in between - they genuinely seemed happy to have us there. They made it even more special for us by being so kind and helpful. We really and truly could not recommend the entire staff here enough - even if it's not for you for the wedding day, definitely consider it for a minimoon!

We had our wedding in Barberstown Castle recently, from our first visit to our special day everything was beyond perfect, Annie our wedding co-ordinator was just amazing nothing was too much for her and our day went so smoothly we can't thank her enough, the venue is so beautiful and the decor in the ceremony room and dining room is so beautiful you couldn't ask for a better setting it's the most romantic place I've ever seen, the staff at Barberstown are second to none everyone was so nice and friendly the quality of service was out of this world, the food was exceptional all our guest were beyond impressed with it and gave us so many compliments. My husband and I had the most amazing wedding at Barberstown Castle. After the first venue viewing there, meeting Annie the wedding coordinator, and seeing the stunning grounds, we knew this was where we would get married.
Annie, Ted and the whole team were so professional and helpful throughout the planning. Annie included everything we asked for, as well as offering her wisdom and expertise. She was so calming, thoughtful, helpful and professional which really added to our whole experience.

My partner and I got married recently in Barberstown Castle. We were blessed with a stunning day which meant we were able to get married in the garden under the beautiful tree there. Everything about the day was simply magical. From the moment we chose to have our wedding in Barberstown it was simple, simply wonderful and simply wonderfully easy ! Ted, Annie and all of the team at Barberstown felt like family in the way they looked after us and all of our guests. The food was sublime, the service attentive, friendly and super efficient. The hotel is beautiful and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you so much Ted for all you did to make it the most magical weekend.

We liaised with Annie who was our wedding co ordinator. Annie was superb, her attention to detail, responsiveness and professionalism was exceptional. Nothing was a problem to create our perfect day.
The food and service for our meal was outstanding. The team on the day couldn't do enough for us and we were made to feel like VIPs from start to finish. Everything went so smoothly.

We recently had our wedding at Barberstown Castle, and we can't say enough good things about our experience! My husband and I came as an international couple with about 60 guests from the United States. Barberstown truly took care of EVERYTHING, and made sure all ran smoothly the entire 2-3 days we were all on site! From our arrival, to the pre-wedding dinner, our gathering of clans, the day of the wedding, through the morning after, absolutely everything went off without a hitch! Our guests repeatedly told us what a great wedding weekend it was, and many of them told us that our wedding was the best they had ever been to, including their own! The only "less than 5 star" remark we gave, is responsiveness, and even that wasn't "bad"-- but being an international couple makes you extra nervous about certain aspects and we American's tend to need a lot of re-assurance! All in all, I'm not sure what we even worried about -- everything went perfectly when we arrived!

We would 100% absolutely recommend this venue for anyone-- especially international couples!!! We are already making it a point to come back and visit for an anniversary, just because it was so incredibly special!

We got engaged during the pandemic so we had to do our research online. We chose Barberstown Castle for our wedding because it looked so beautiful on our initial video call with Aoife. When we eventually got to view the castle, we were even more delighted and knew it was the perfect venue for us. The castle has a special ambience and looks fabulous inside with open fires, candles and golden tapestries. The ceremony room is flooded with natural light overlooking stunning gardens which is an ideal backdrop for wedding photos.

We got married at the end of October 2022 and the autumn leaves were spectacular. We arrived 2 days beforehand to relax and enjoy the lead up to our wedding. Annie the wedding planner was so warm, friendly and professional putting us at ease straightaway.

Annie, together with Saoirse and Ted did a fantastic job on the day of our wedding guiding us both to where we needed to be which allowed us to relax with our guests and be in the moment.

The staff at Barberstown Castle were exceptional and could not do enough for us. So many of our guests commented on the excellent service and warm helpful staff. Guests also spoke about how tasty the canapés were and how delicious the wedding dinner was. We chose salmon and beef which was perfect and many of our guests even got a taste of both when the seconds came around!

We booked The Haggard for day 2 celebrations which was a great success. The Haggard is a typically old Irish Pub on the grounds of the hotel. Open fires provided a cosy warm atmosphere together with live music and good food made for a great time. We chose barbeque food and again everyone commented on the excellent service and the delicious food. Keith and his team were fantastic and could not do enough for us.

It was a magical weekend - thank you to the whole team at Barberstown Castle! We had the most wonderful wedding celebration with our family and friends - surpassing everything we could have wished for.

From the first moment we viewed Barberstown Castle in February 2020 we were in love with the place. Sara was amazing with answering any questions and keeping us reassured during Covid. We were originally scheduled to have our wedding reception in May 2021 and postponed because of the pandemic and the change in date was made extremely seamless. On the day Sara, Richard and Ted couldn't do enough for us. They made us and our guests feel so special from the welcome to the food and service there would not be one thing we would change. They really made it an unforgettable day for us both

A stunning venue but especially at Christmas, beautifully decorated, exquisite food. The open fires create a unique ambience. It feels intimate even if you have a larger wedding. If a castle style is something you have in mind then this is the venue for you.

We recently had our wedding at Barberstown Castle on March 8, 2019 and I would HIGHLY recommend it as a venue for your wedding. First of all the staff where amazing leading up to the wedding especially since we where planning the wedding from Canada. On the wedding day the staff where simply amazing and so helpful and kind. The food was the best part of the whole day and all the guests raved about the food and staff all day and even to this day. Highly highly highly recommend Barberstown Castle.

My (now) husband and I were looking for the perfect venue for our destination wedding (we are from the US). When we found Barberstown, the staff immediately understood any concerns we had with planning an overseas wedding, since we would likely not be able to see the venue prior to the big day. From enquiry on, Gretchen and Susanne (not to mention the AMAZING rest of the staff) truly put us at the utmost ease.

As luck would have it, we were able to visit the venue twice prior to the wedding and each time just reinforced what a great decision we made. To say that every step was simple and well-handled would be an injustice- everything was perfect.

Come the day of, everybody in attendance was in awe of how beautiful everything was, the impeccable service and delicious food. Not one single detail from planning, to check-in, to post wedding was overlooked. The entire staff went head over heels to cater to anything we may need and truly made the night magical. I could never fathom having such an incredible experience in the United States.

Irish or destination brides fear not- the staff at Barberstown are truly one-of-a-kind amazing and will do everything within human capabilities to make your day sheer perfection!

These small details on top of providing the most beautiful venue and delicious food made our wedding day. It was great value for money, the standard was impeccable. When I initially viewed Barberstown it was after viewing 10 other venues scattered around Wicklow/Kildare/Dublin and I remember thinking how difficult it was going to be to choose the venue. Everywhere seemed so nice!

Thats until I stepped inside Barberstown Castle.

I was immediately blown away by the venue (the banqueting hall is full of character and so unique) and I was very impressed by the genuine warmth and enthusiasm of the wedding coordinator Anna, that we booked straight away.

Anna continued to impress us. She made the planning easy and went above and beyond. In the lead up to the wedding we felt so relaxed and were able to enjoy every moment and we both feel Anna had a huge role to play in this.

On the day itself, The Banqueting hall looked even better than we had remembered.

The food was superb. I heard someone say ?Thats the best beef i've ever had? and much to everyones joy there was lots of it.

All the staff were amazing. In particular Matthew, the banqueting manager who made sure everything went smoothly.

If you are looking for a unique venue, with great food and brilliant staff I couldn't recommend Barberstown enough. We wish we could do it all again!

We got married this December in Barberstown Castle and could not have picked a more perfect venue. From the moment we first walked in to view the venue we both know it was the one and could not have been happier with our decision. The venue was decorated for Christmas with lots of trees and open fires which was so cozy and magical. All The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us with a special mention to Anna our wedding coordinator who was always happy and quick to reply to my many emails and looked after all our requests and Matthew the banquet manager who made sure the reception ran like clockwork. The food was exceptional with all our guests commenting on how amazing it was. We can't say thank you enough for making our wedding so special and stress free, wish we could do it all over again! To anyone considering booking this venue do it now as you will not regret it!

The whole team really looked after us from booking, their recommendations for photographers, wine, band, they took care of all the accommodation bookings, made the whole wedding easy and really stress free!

We fell in love with Barberstown Castle as the venue for our wedding on that first visit& cancelled viewings for all other places then! Anna and her colleagues made us feel as though we were the only couple in the world getting married, our every request accomodated, every question answered so promptly, always friendly and relaxed while exuding professionalism! Our wedding day & night was everything we wanted and had planned in our heads, Anna and all the staff there made it all a reality. The food was spectacular, and the chef was happy to accomodate my suggestions for our menu. Cant recommend Barberstown Castle highly enough; the castle & grounds are stunning, the food & rooms amazing, but it is the wonderful staff there that make this place one in a million :)

We had our wedding reception in Barberstown Castle on the 8th October last year and had the most amazing day. We really could not have asked for more from our co-ordinator Anna and the Barberstown team. Everything was as we hoped for and more and we would have to look very very hard to try to find a single thing that did not meet our expectations.
From our very first visit, it felt like a special place to get married and it definitely was. Its character, warmth and atmosphere made it the perfect choice for our Autumn wedding and we were 100% happy with our venue choice. The team there were just amazing from Anna, Siofa and Gretchen to all of the reception staff, our lovely waiter for our family meal the night before and all of the bar staff, waiting staff and Mathew in the banquet hall. All of our guests were equally impressed and we have had many complements on the excellent food and service on the day. Unfortunately the castle itself was closed for renovations but it didn't take away from the amazing weekend we had there.
Barberstown made our day exactly what we wanted and we would happily recommend Barberstown to anyone looking for a wedding venue. We have to call out co-ordinator Anna in particular for whom no ask was too small and no idea not welcome. It was a true pleasure from start to finish and we would love to do it all again.

If we had to do it all again we would have our wedding again in Barberstown. It was fabulous. The venue is elegant and comfortable. The accommodation is plentiful and the rooms are beautiful. Having a separate area for the Banquet Hall where we could be away from the general hotel was great. It gave us privacy and made us feel special. The space available for us to use was incredible. It was great having a room set apart from the dance floor with fires and comfy chairs for our older guest. (And for us when we needed a break. )
The food was amazing. One guest (who has been to a number of weddings) said it was the best wedding food he had ever tasted. There was plenty for everyone and seconds for whoever wanted them. The morning after the wedding all the guests were together in the breakfast room. We had our own area and it was lovely to be able to mix with our guests again, especially for our families.
The value of having a tailored menu was good and meant there was little waste. The team were accommodating and helpful with contacts.
In terms of anything negative - I would say that they're not the best with paperwork. But I was happy to ignore that because in person the co-ordinators are friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you. Also on our day it was a cash bar only which we weren't aware of. To get cash out our guests had to leave the Banquet Hall and go into the hotel (which is 2 mins walk). But it was raining and we hadn't warned people. So it would be better if they had card facilities in the Banquet Hall.
Back to the positives because there are many more ... There are plenty of areas for amazing photos in the grounds and if it's raining there's plenty of atmosphere in the Banquet Hall and the hotel.
Everyone enjoyed the wedding. Both young and old. We had 9 children at the wedding from 2 years to 9 years of age and the staff were very patient with them. They ran around and had fun and there were no issues.
We look forward to visiting Barberstown again in the future as guests so that we can get to enjoy the beautiful rooms that they have for longer. And we definitely want to have dinner there again. It is truly amazing. I would recommend visiting the venue.

From the moment I first viewed barberstown castle and I met with you both I knew right then that Barberstown was the place for us to be married, with the run up to the wedding you guys were amazing and so helpful always available to answer any question they went above and beyond to help us create our magical amazing wedding day ???? we had an outdoor wedding in one of their outstanding gardens on July 16th 2016 the layout simple took our breath away and the castle standing tall in the background was just perfect so picturesque. From our drinks reception to our wedding banquet the staff were so attentive professional and friendly, still today all our guests are talking about the food it was exceptional and there was plenty of it. Myself and daniel picked barberstown castle as our venue for its stunning gardens intimate settings and surroundings it's simply like a fairytale so beautiful and all the staff make you feel so welcome and relaxed you could not be in better hands with this fantastic team of people helping to ensure your day is one to remember. We had our wedding on the 8th July 2016 in beautiful Barberstown Castle. What a wonderful venue! The staff were so helpful and lovely, the food was fantastic and of a very high quality. The venue is beautiful and perfectly laid out for wedding celebrations. Anna was very responsive and helpful to us throughout the planning process. We had the most wonderful day of our lives. Staff were helpful, friendly and positive. They catered for any specific needs or requests. They were at hand and attentive on the day without fussing or being intrusive. We started our search for a wedding venue back in 2015 and by luck came across the castle. We booked a consultation and the rest just fell into place! We knew we loved it immediately from the beautiful drive into the castle. The banqueting hall was like something out of a movie and once we saw the ceremony room we were absolutely sold!
As I had dreamed of an offbeat kind of day it fit in so well - such a beautiful light space which looked out on the gardens either side.
The hotel and grounds are stunning and we loved that there was plenty of space for all of our wedding party to stay over. The wedding space and hotel space are totally separate, meaning you have exclusivity and privacy on your wedding day.
In the run up to the wedding it was all very easy going! Every idea we had fit in and was welcomed by the hotel - thanks to Siofra, Lisa and Anna we never had a question unanswered. We decided we wanted to have our immediate family and wedding party to have a dinner and stay over the night before. The hotel were just a dream to work with - they organised a lovely space in the Edwardian Room for dinner and even served drinks late in the bar even though our party was so small.
The wedding day itself was a breeze and Anna, our coordinator, was such a sweetheart. She had the room set up exactly how we imagined and made sure everything ran how we envisioned it. She is so personable and we really felt in very capable hands.
The guests have not stopped commenting about how relaxed the day felt and on the food - we are total foodies and Barberstown know how to do good food! The serving staff worked so fast I barely noticed them and everything tasted amazing!
When we finally got back to our room in the early hours there was a lovely personalised frame left as a gift from the hotel to us, which we loved! Also a tip - get the champagne breakfast in bed and spend an hour with your new spouse in luxury!

We would like to thank the staff at Barberstown Castle for the exceptional service on our wedding day,especially to Matthew the banqueting manager on the evening who was so accommodating and to Siofra and Lisa who were always available for any queries we had in the run up to the big day. The food was of an exceptional standard and we received such positive feedback from our guests on the quality of the food and the beautiful surroundings. For any couple thinking of choosing Barberstown for their wedding, it is a wonderful venue, beautiful grounds, amazing food very professional and friendly staff, book it!

Stress. Worry. Anger. Tears. Just a few of the crappy emotions and feelings experienced in the coming days before most weddings, but not ours.

The team at Barberstown took care of everything for us. They gave us sound advice, reminded us of upcoming tasks and pampered us on the day. Our goal for the special day was to have our reception somewhere different, special and relaxed; Barberstown Castle perfectly fit our exacting requirements. It is a beautifully kept historic venue with character and class, but without the drawbacks of most other older buildings (damp, musty etc.).

We arrived from the ceremony to be greeted quietly by our first host, Lisa. She had champagne waiting and let us know that everything was on track. She told us to worry about nothing from that point on as herself and her team were now in charge. Music to our ears! The fires were lit, the drinks were ready and the canapes were on their way out.

Our meal was magnificent, truly stunning. Timings were perfect and it's something we'll never forget. They even came around with second helpings for the main course! We opted for the BBQ option which was served at approx 10:30pm. It was delicious and a welcome sight after a few fizzy drinks. If your budget allows, I'd recommend this option. Our second, evening host, Matt made sure that everything progressed as it should.

We'll never be able to thank the Barberstown team enough for the perfect day they helped us with, it was truly flawless.

We couldn't recommend Barberstown Castle highly enough. It's a beautiful venue but to top it off the staff are fantastic. They ensured that not only the day ran perfectly but also the weeks running up to it. Their advice in the final couple of weeks helped our wedding to be stress free and great fun.

Its now just over two months since our big day! We were married on the 19th February 2016 at the beautiful Barberstown Castle and had the most amazing day and weekend. We viewed 3 venues before coming across Barberstown Castle, once we saw Barberstown and how spectacular it is we fell in love with the venue. The best way to describe Barberstown Castle is rustic, with a medieval feel but with an abundance of elegance! Following our booking we had a few issues as a result of us dealing with a few different wedding co-ordinators. This was not ideal however once Lisa took over as the main wedding co-ordinator the process became much easier and all issues were resolved. On the day its self the staff were so dedicated and attentive to us and our guests. They were all a pleasure to deal with and could not do enough for us. Over two months later our guests are still talking about how amazing the day was, the super quality of the food (amazing!) and the beautiful bedrooms at Barberstown. Barberstown is a very special and unique venue. The beautiful decor and elegance runs right throughout the hotel but the banqueting hall was the star of the show for us! It was so beautifully decorated with flowers, candles and fires lit throughout, providing the perfect ambiance and atmosphere for the day and evening. The day after the wedding we congregated with our guests in the beautiful tea rooms for tea/coffee to reminisce about the day and to say good bye to those leaving. That evening along with 25 guests we had another fantastic meal in a small dining room dedicated to our group following drinks in the hotel bar. Another fantastic night to top the whole weekend off. For any couples out there thinking about booking Barberstown for their big day I would highly recommend, You will not be disappointed!

First and foremost, the staff at Barberstown are absolutely fantastic to deal with and I belive they are the real selling point for this venue. I was an absolute stress-ball on the run up to the wedding, wondering if everything I had in my head would work to plan, but I literally didn't have to lift a finger on the day, or even ask anyone to see if everything was going to plan - it's all perfectly coordinated by the wonderful staff who see to every little detail. These guys have at least one wedding pretty much every weekend of the year and their professionalism and expertise shines through - they know what they're doing!!

The food is wonderful, we had so many compliments on the menu, and you have so much room to play around with what drinks and food you can provide your guests with on the day, they are so flexible!

Of course, if you've seen the venue, you'll know it's beautiful and a wonderful place to spend the day. If you're having your ceremony onsite, you literally do not have to leave the building until you want to call it a night. We couldn't have asked for a more romantic venue. It's perfect.

The rooms are very generous in space, spotlessly clean, luxurious and very cosy!

What can I say, it's a wonderful venue to have your wedding - do not hesitate! You will be in very very good hands.

I can't say enough about the staff, each and everyone of them could not do enough for us. We knew we would have nothing to worry about. Every small detail was taken care off. The venue is fab and food was fantastic. I wish we could do it all over again.

My daughter had her reception in Barberstown Castle last July. From the minute we all arrived we were overwhelmed with the hospitality and the whole atmosphere of the venue.The food was more than excellent, everyone of the guests remarked on it and said it was the best wedding they attended for a long time. My daughter and her Husband were very pleased with everything. They are back in Australia but have great memories.

We just wanted to thank you so much for everything running up to and during the wedding. We had the most wonderful day and every single little detail had been taken care of. We knew as soon as we saw Barberstown that we wanted to have our reception with you and as the process of organising it progressed, again and again we realised we had made the best decision. From the outset ye were great for answering all our (often repeated) questions and putting our minds at ease! So many people at our wedding really did say it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and considering a lot of them were into their 70s and had seen a lot of nieces and nephews married off before us, that really is quite something. We continue to receive compliments on the food, the staff and the hotel itself. Those who stayed the night before and had the dinner also seem to be in awe of the quality and standard of food - our sincere compliments to your amazing chef and his fantastic staff!

We hope you all had a great New Year and we know we will be back for a dinner at some point.

"Words can barely describe how grateful we are to the Barberstown Castle team for making July 2nd 2011 as perfect a day as we could have ever imagined. We can have nothing but good words to say from the first interaction via web enquiry to the checkout the morning after our wedding.
Richard was very patient in showing the banquet hall to a few family members who needed to act as our eyes as we were living in the USA.
Gretchen and Eimear sent numerous photos to act as back up for the good reviews we had received. Management were so confident (and rightly so!!) that we would love the venue when we saw it in person that they were willing to work with us on the deposit required to secure the date. After we saw the venue in person we knew we had made the right decision. All subsequent emails and telephone calls were dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Thank you for your patience too as we had many queries!
The wedding day itself can only be described as perfection. The moment we stepped out of the car and on to the red carpet we were greeted by Paddy with a glass of champagne. It can't be easy making more than 200 guests feel that they were very important to the success of the wedding, yet they managed to do it flawlessly. The banquet hall itself was better than we expected the flowers and candles really added to the magical feel. The top table set up makes you feel like a high chief and many of our guests felt the need to bow in jest as they passed us to get to the bar area! The food was amazing and all our guests commented on how much of it there was, many guests had second helpings! The wait staff were phenomenal in how they managed to ensure everyone was served very promptly. The wine kept flowing during dinner and the bar tenders worked tirelessly until the early hours of the morning. The late night barbeque is a lovely add on and it really separates Barberstown's package from the standard sandwiches and tea that you receive at other venues.
The Irish weather decided to play its part which meant that the courtyard and gardens were utilised to their full potential. They are perfect for photo opportunities. We had many travelling from the States and further afield and all commented on how beautifully maintained the gardens were. The accommodation in the castle can only be described as magical, All our guests felt the same way! Four poster beds a plenty! We had block booked every room and nobody was disappointed!
As with many other people who have reviewed your venue, we forgot to pass on our thanks to Paddy on the night in question. The best man found him a pleasure to deal with and no request was too much for him or his team.....so thank you Paddy and please pass on the same to your wonderful team! You all played a criticial role in creating a day and night we will never forget! "
