Castlemartyr Resort

We genuinely could not recommend Castlemartyr Resort highly enough as a wedding venue.

We fell in love with Castlemartyr when we first visited and, after viewing a number of other venues, nowhere else came close for us. Having now had our wedding there, the entire experience exceeded even the expectations we had when we booked.

The experience starts long before the wedding day. Our menu tasting was a real highlight in the build-up, giving us the chance to enjoy the food and wines while sitting down with Jackie and working through the details of the day.

Jackie was absolutely outstanding throughout the entire process. She got to know us, understood the kind of wedding we wanted and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Even in the final weeks with changes, questions and last-minute details, she was always calm, responsive and completely on top of everything. On the day itself, we could simply enjoy our wedding without worrying about what was happening behind the scenes.

That level of care extended across the whole Castlemartyr team. Gerry and Gerald on concierge looked after us brilliantly, particularly with all the moving between the hotel and residences. Kay and the banqueting team were exceptional and made sure both we and our guests were looked after throughout. Leila was also fantastic when an unexpected delay with our band arose, handling everything calmly and ensuring it never took away from our evening.

The service throughout the weekend was exceptional. It never felt like the team were simply running another wedding. We felt that everyone genuinely cared about making the weekend special for us and our guests.

Another huge positive for us was how dog-friendly Castlemartyr is. Being able to have Sully with us during our stay really mattered. He’s part of our family, so having a five-star resort where he was genuinely welcomed made the experience even more special.

Our celebrations continued into Day 2 at the Hunted Hog, which was the perfect way to round off the weekend. It gave us another chance to relax and spend time with everyone after the wedding day, with a brilliant atmosphere, hospitality and service.

The resort itself is beautiful, the food was excellent and having the hotel, grounds, residences and the Hunted Hog all together made it an ideal setting for the entire wedding weekend.

We honestly wouldn’t change a thing.

The team at Castlemartyr Resort were incredible on our wedding day. Our coordinator Sakshi was a pleasure to work with and made the planning process so straightforward. We are so grateful to Sakshi and the entire team for making our day a real dream come true experience!

Our wedding day was the best day of our lives which is the way it should be and we wouldn’t change one single thing.

Our guests and loved ones made it very special but it would not have been such a perfect day if we had our wedding somewhere other than Castlemartyr Resort Hotel.

We checked in Friday 21st August a day early and we received a beautiful welcome. We stayed in our wedding room both Friday and Saturday which was really nice and it was such a lovely room.

We had the most beautiful meal on the Friday evening in the Canopy restaurant where we were spoiled for the evening with extra courses between courses.

Finishing off our beautiful evening with the nicest Whiskey Sours we have ever had in Knights Bar, such a beautiful bar looking out towards the lawn where we were to wed the following day.

Our wedding day which was outside in the basking sun was just amazing. What a fabulous crew from Brendan, Paul, Jackie, Kay, Shannon and your wonderful team at Castlemartyr Resort Hotel, I could honestly name everyone personally but it is only a review. An extra special mention for Mrs Jackie Day, you are amazing at what you do and your years of experience showed in the year leading up to our wedding. It was like having a private wedding planer.

The amount of phone calls and text messages we received from our guests since our wedding day has been overwhelming mostly complimenting the day we gave them, the food they were served and the staff from Castlemartyr, we think this is a testimony to how Castlemartyr Resort run their business.

We are looking forward to going back for our free stay for our first wedding anniversary present from Castlemartyr Resort hotel but we will definitely be back for a weekend before then.

The little touches over the weekend were extra special, champagne and chocolates every time we went to our rooms and o
f course those beautiful robes personalised with our names John and Alan, these will hold a warm place in our hearts for a long time.

Best day of our lives ❤️

We honestly couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding; Castlemartyr Resort is absolutely breathtaking! Having everything onsite made the entire experience feel so seamless and magical. We had a beautiful ceremony outside the stunning manor house, followed by a gorgeous reception in the Knights Bar, and finally moved into the ballroom for an unforgettable meal and party. Every single transition was flawless, and the day went exactly as we had envisioned it in our minds.

We are so incredibly thankful to Jackie and the amazing events team. Their attention to detail was truly next-level, and absolutely nothing was too much to ask. They supported us through everything and made sure our day was completely stress-free and perfectly executed.

The celebrations continued for our Day 2 at The Hunted Hog pub, and it was just as fantastic. Barry and his wonderful team were incredible, they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even taking care of arranging the music so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves.

My husband Rob and I had the best experience at Castlemartyr from our first visit right through to the day after our wedding. The venue is beautiful, but what made it so special was the kindness and care shown by every member of staff. Despite being a five-star hotel, it felt incredibly warm, welcoming, and personal.

We booked our wedding at Castlemartyr 18 months out and from the off, Sakshi Goel, our wedding planner, was absolutely incredible.

She offered amazing support and flexibility as we were planning our wedding from abroad. Anything we requested, she gave us her honest thoughts and alternatives if required or a way to make it work. She is highly experienced in her field and we knew we were in great hands from the planning process.

We were blown away by her organization and attention to detail when we met with her at our wedding tasting. We may even have had too much fun going through the finer details together. Sakshi made the planning feel easy and straight forward, something that kept us both calm throughout.

Sakshi was incredible on the weekend of our wedding. From the moment we arrived at Castlemartyr she was available at every moment and her attention to detail is something to be noted and admired.

As for the resort, it speaks for itself. It is beautiful and elegant. Many of our guests raved about how beautiful the grounds were. Castlemartyr has the most incredible friendly staff who were ready and waiting to help us as well as any of our guests throughout the weekend.

We cannot thank and recommend Castlemartyr enough. We look forward to going back to visit and we have heard our parents and their friends organizing a trip back too.

The staff who served us during the meal were incredible. They looked after us immensely. The camera needed new batteries and the waitress went off and sorted it for us. Planning a destination wedding is not for the faint of heart. But, when we visited Castlemartyr on a trip home and were immediately blown away. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, and the manor house is equally stunning. What really sealed the deal for us was our meeting with our incredible wedding coordinator, Jackie. She is knowledgeable and professional, and very attentive to all the little details. We left the meeting feeling secure that she would take care of us and she was such a great sounding board throughout the process. Frankly, all of the staff at Castlemartyr went above and beyond for us and our guests and many of my American relatives are eager to come back.

I had a big request that I wanted all the food for the weekend to be gluten free, because I have an allergy. The Hunted Hog put on a fantastic spread for our welcome party with some excellent trad music. For our wedding day, Kevin Burke, Head Chef at Castlemartyr put together the most incredible gluten free menu, and so many of our guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding and are still raving about it almost 2 months later! The reception went off without a hitch, and we truly received the 5-star experience from Kay, who was our personal attendant for the day. Everyone went above and beyond and we couldn’t be more grateful to Jackie and the staff for giving us the best weekend ever. We look forward to more celebrations at Castlemartyr in the future.

We had the most beautiful day for our wedding in Castlemartyr. Sakshi was wonderful to work with, a total professional she is fantastic at her job. Castlemartyr is an incredible venue for a wedding and we are so delighted that we decided to have ours there. The setting is incredible, and I love how our photos turned out. Kay and the team in the ballroom were so attentive and all our guests commented on how good the food was! TLDR; - Book Castylemartyr for the perfect wedding. Wonderful place, wonderful people, wonderful memories.

We arrived at Castlemartyr Resort for the very first time on what could only be described as a hideously rainy day — and yet, from the moment we stepped through the doors, it could have been blazing sunshine outside. The warmth, friendliness and genuine welcome from every single member of the team immediately set the tone for everything that was to follow. Shanice was incredibly generous with her time, walking us through the hotel, showing us every corner and carefully talking us through the various wedding options available. Every question we had — whether over email or on Zoom in the months that followed — was answered with patience and care, and we selected our perfect date feeling truly looked after.

Nearly two years passed between signing the contract and our big day, and throughout that entire period the team kept in seamless communication: plenty of notice for important milestones like deposits and tasting sessions, thoughtful advice (including the recommendation of our truly fantastic celebrant), and a consistently reassuring presence. We popped in for drinks from time to time during that period, and every single visit only deepened our certainty that we had made absolutely the right choice.

A special mention must go to Shannen, who handled what must have been an extraordinary volume of emails relating to room allocations with unfailing cheerfulness and patience. So many of our guests independently commented on how helpful and lovely she was - a testament to the standard of care that runs through every interaction at Castlemartyr.

The celebrations for the wedding began the night before with a "Day Zero" gathering for friends and family at the Hunted Hog — and what a way to kick things off. The food was wonderful, the music was perfect, and the atmosphere was everything we could have hoped for. Thank you to Barry and the incredibly talented musician for making it such a special evening and the ideal start to our wedding celebrations.

For our wedding we opted for the Manor Package — and we cannot recommend it highly enough, particularly for couples getting married on site. Having separate manor suites the night before meant both bridal parties had the most wonderful space to get ready in on the morning of the wedding, surrounded by family and friends. And to look out of the window and watch our wedding being set up below? Utterly magical. Words don't quite do it justice.

Jackie - our CWO (chief wedding officer) and undoubted MVP of the entire day - took care of absolutely everything, both in the weeks leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. She and the equally fantastic Kay brought together the most incredible team, looking after us from morning until night and going above and beyond at every turn. We are still in awe of them both and cannot thank them enough (everyone could do with a Jackie and Kay in their lives!)

April 25th truly was the perfect date. Even the night before we weren't quite sure what the weather would do — but on the day itself the sun was out and the sky was the most perfect shade of blue. Our outdoor ceremony, held outside the manor with guests gathered around the fountain (thoughtfully turned off for the sound) and facing the castle ruins, was everything we had ever dreamed of. What a setting. What a moment!

The drinks reception on the terrace/in the Knights Bar that followed was just as wonderful - we'd highly recommend this space to any couple, regardless of whether they're going for the Manor Package - and from there it was into the ballroom for dinner and dancing.

The dinner was exquisite. Every single guest raved about the food, the drink and the service — and everything ran seamlessly from the very first entrance right through to the residence bar opening at 2.30 in the morning. We returned to our rooms laden with goods from the Tayto Cart (yes, it's an option!) at around 4am absolutely floating.

A very special shout-out to Trevor, who served as the brides’ getaway driver on the golf cart - an absolutely inspired touch that made for some fantastic photographs and no small amount of laughter and joy. Thank you, Trevor!

After (significantly) less than two hours' sleep, the late breakfast at the Chef's Table the following morning was a delight - a relaxed, warm way to catch up with guests and relive the highlights of the day before. We had opted to stay on for another night, as had some family and friends, and what followed was a lovely, unofficial "Day Two": an impromptu dinner with members of the bridal party and both sets of parents, which the team kindly hosted back at the Chef's Table. A small detail, perhaps - but exactly the kind of thoughtful touch that makes Castlemartyr so special.

Throughout all of it - in the week before the wedding and in the days that followed the wonderful Diana looked after us and our guests with such warmth and kindness. Incredibly attentive, great fun, and someone we will not forget in a hurry.

If we have a single regret, it is simply that we didn't book to stay on for the following week. So much so, in fact, that we cut our subsequent trip short and returned to Castlemartyr - where we were greeted by so many familiar and friendly faces, with the team going out of their way to come and say hello and make us feel, as always, completely at home. It was the perfect way to bring our wedding celebrations to a close.

Despite the length of this review, I still feel I am not fully capturing just how much we would recommend Castlemartyr Resort.

The thing that stands out above everything - above the food, the rooms, the grounds, the ballroom, the fairy-tale setting - is this: whether you are visiting for a coffee or staying in the presidential suite, you are treated exactly the same. With genuine warmth. With welcoming smiles. By truly exceptional people who deliver an extraordinary standard of care as a matter of course.

Castlemartyr should be held up as the perfect example of a place that combines incredibly high standards with true warmth and atmosphere. It is a special place, with special people — and we cannot wait to return.

From the moment I made contact with Jackie at Castlemartyr Resort I felt completely at ease about the wedding and knew that it would be exactly what we had dreamt for and so much more! The entire staff went above and beyond for us to make it the most special weekend of our lives. From the preparations to the actual wedding day, everything was smooth, straight forward and nothing was ever an issue. We genuinely cannot thank Castlemartyr Resort enough for how special our wedding felt, the staff, the atmosphere, the gardens, the food, the facilities, it truly is the perfect wedding hotel. I couldn’t recommend them more highly and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. All of our guests were so impressed by the hotel, with some even extending their stay after the wedding. Myself and my now husband got married in the Castlemartyr in March of 2026. We were visiting the hotel for Halloween the year before and while our kids were busy at the kids club, we were enjoying a quiet drink in the Knights Bar. It was during this conversation that we have made the decision to get married there. It was perfect not because of the great reviews and stunning grounds, but because we were coming there for years and simply fell in love with the place. I think the reason why it’s so magnetic is a perfect combination of gorgeous decor and grounds, impeccable service and very friendly and helpful staff, and of course exceptional food.
Since we made a decision to get married there we have selected suitable date, March 2026. Sakshi was our wedding coordinator and she went above and beyond to make sure our day is exactly as we envisioned it, from the very start to the finish.
We had a small wedding, we are both in our forties and knew exactly what we wanted, from the food to the venue and rooms.
I believe that it’s naive to expect no hiccups along the way, but what makes a place truly exceptional, is how quickly and efficiently they find a solution and keep good communication at all times, and this is something we appreciate about Sakshi and the rest of team so much.
We have stayed in the lodges which was a perfect fit for us. We have two children and there were other families with kids there too, and the lodges were perfect for our needs.
As a bride I immensely appreciated the space that I had, the fact that we got breakfast delivered to my lodge and that I was basically treated like royalty from the moment I got up, to the moment I went to sleep. The weather wasn’t the best, but this was not an issue. We were happy to take our photos inside because the hotel is so beautiful and suited our (as kids say these days) vibe.
Sakshi was there to assist, support and make sure we have everything we need from the very morning. I got a lift to the hotel in a stunning car and there was a team of umbrellas to make sure not a drop of rain will land on my dress, which was so thoughtful.
Looking back on the ceremony, the wedding and the party, we couldn’t have imagined a better one. I often look back at this day and there isn’t one thing I’d change.
The ceremony was very intimate, the room was decorated beautifully and everything was perfectly done and organized. No hiccups, no issues or anything that would take our focus away from the very special moment we were celebrating.
The fact that we could simply enjoy ourselves, make memories with our loved ones and dance away the night without having to think about anything else, is what made this day even more special.
The food was exactly as we agreed on, everyone was well fed and the drinks were flowing until it was time to go to bed.
We stayed for another two days and simply indulged in being in our newlyweds bubble.
Every single guest had a great time and we had a wedding we will always remember as one of the best days of our lives.

Tom and I got married at Castlemartyr on December 19th, 2025, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more.

From communication and responsiveness, staff professionalism, food and drinks, atmosphere / décor (and Jackie’s help!!), organisation on the day, flexibility with requests and value for money, the day was perfect and everyone enjoyed it!

We had a wonderful day shared with family & friends , the venue is absolutely stunning both inside and outside for photography. The staff were very friendly and helpful to your needs. However there was room for improvement, more attention to detail and ensuring bride and groom were looked after in every way.

Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, the staff were so friendly, kind and attentive to all of our needs.
The wedding co ordinator Sakshi went above and beyond to help us plan our day. Small things that we hadn’t even thought of were done and on her list. There was nothing she hadn’t thought of.
We stayed a few nights before the wedding with our 5month old and our dog. The hotel staff helped us with dog sitters for the night before and the day of the wedding and also brought our dog down to the wedding drink's reception which was so special to us. I got ready in the bridal suite the morning of the wedding, the staff brought breakfast and lunch to the room. We didn’t have to worry about a thing.
All of the requirements to make our day special for family and friends regarding food and accommodation exceeded everyone’s expectations. It really was the most magical few days.

We were married at Castlemartyr and it truly exceeded every expectation. From the first viewing to the last dance, the team were professional, thoughtful, and quietly brilliant, guiding us without ever taking over. The estate blends old-world charm with a modern polish, beautiful rooms for our guests, and stunning grounds that made our photographer’s job delightfully easy. Dinner was a highlight (perfectly timed service, generous portions, and not a single guest with an empty glass). Castlemartyr gave us a classic, elegant celebration with a relaxed, joyful atmosphere. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Castlemartyr Resort on the 25th of September 2025. And day two at the Club House. The experience exceeded any expectations we may have had leading up to the event. Everything clicked into place perfectly on the day and that was largely down to the service and professionalism of the staff.

We had been to see the hotel a few times and met Sakshi on one of those occasions, and she ended up being our coordinator throughout. She was great fun to work with, very accommodating of our requests (in particular for the awkward vegan tasting menu) but most importantly very dialled in when it came to having everything in place for the big day. On the day itself she was a reassuring presence in the background helping to keep things in track. When it comes down to it, the coordinator is the person you spend most time arranging things with and we could not have asked for better. I hope she is working at the hotel for years to come so we have a friendly face to catch up with when we visit.

Sakshi’s colleague Nicola was an ever present on the wedding day itself. Again, absolutely fantastic service and professionalism. It’s as if they are mind readers on the day, they have the answers to your questions before you even ask them. Naturally you get caught up in the excitement of the day’s events but one thing that stands out in my memory was Nicola’s presence during dinner service. The entire team work fantastically well and Nicola took great care of the top table.

Shannen in reservations was also very helpful in the build up helping coordinate the rooms we needed for family and the bridal party. Chef Kevin was great during the menu tastings. We had lots of guests complimenting the food throughout the day. The food after the ceremony was very popular, guests loved it and dietary requests were carefully looked after. For the dinner reception we went with lamb and chicken, both received plenty of compliments. Again, all the dietary requirements were well accommodated for throughout the day.

There’s not much in the way of “bargains” to be had there but I do feel like we got value for money with the level of care in the lead up to and on the day itself. We were really impressed with the staff on the wedding day. Super organised, ushering things along like clockwork. Add to that the fact that the resort itself is beautiful, we couldn’t be happier with our choice of venue!

Sakshi and the Castlemartyr team made us very comfortable throughout the wedding process. In the lead up to the day they were very responsive and were able to offer us lots of good ideas to help us create our perfect wedding. The venue is beautiful and the perfect setting for a wedding. Absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the fantastic service and over the top hospitality at Castlemartyr! We recently had our wedding with 70 guests from the US staying on site there for four days and the accommodated every single unusual request we had!

Sakshi, our coordinator, was phenomenally responsive and adaptive and calm to work with. The concierge team handled not one but two complicated room drops for all 70 of our guests that held really important information (when our surprise wedding ceremony was taking place) with ease + professionalism.

I had my hair done by Alice at the spa, who was calm and easy to work with hours before the big party and I love how my hair turned out!

The bar manager Barry was a delight and so friendly throughout all of our events. Kay, the F&B manager brought unmatched energy to each party with a big smile on her face and we felt so taken care of by hotel manager Paul. Jerry, the concierge, was available at a moment's notice any time we called down.

We hosted a few wild events- a second line parade with a brass band, a pajama party ceremony in the garden, a scavenger hunt sending our friends all over the property on a wild goose chase for cocktails and snacks, a VERY LOUD talent show for all of our guests- and Castlemartyr just rolled with all of it happily and enthusiastically.

Our family dinner at Chef's Table has been the talk of our family, many of them put it in the best meals they've ever had. Many of us work in hospitality and food and beverage and this is no small feat!

The room service was quick and top notch- I had goujons every day that we stayed there hahaha!

Not only that but the ROOMS themselves! So extremely comfortable, luxurious and spacious (especially for european rooms!)

We cannot wait to come back to Castlemartyr for years to come. Thank you thank you thank you for changing our lives and changing our family & friends lives by showing us all SUCH a good time! Life is how it should be at Castlemartyr and we are so lucky to have experienced it!

My husband and I got married at Castlemartyr Resort in August 2025, and we cannot express how amazing everything was.

From the moment we stepped into Castlemartyr, we knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our special day. In the build-up, Jackie and team looked after all our queries promptly and professionally, which really gave us the peace of mind needed to just relax and savour the moment. We were always consulted about any decisions and the team pointed us in the right direction for so many of our suppliers. On the day, all our guests commented on how courteous and professional the Castlemartyr team were. And of course, there were so many rave reviews for the food and the stunning gardens! My wedding at Castlemartyr was absolutely wonderful. Castlemartyr Hotel is a beautiful place to celebrate a wedding. I had the best experience from the very beginning, from the planning stage, to the wedding day itself, and also the second day, which took place at Castlemartyr Golf Club.

The tasting for my wedding dinner was incredible, and on the wedding day everything was perfect. The entire staff working that day were amazing and extremely professional. Jackie and another lovely lady who guided me on my wedding day were so caring and attentive throughout the whole celebration, dinner, and party.

Everything was incredible. The wedding day was sunny, which made everything even more beautiful. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

We got married in the beautiful gardens of Castlemartyr in August 2025, we were so lucky with the weather and had an amazing outdoor ceremony with many of our guests commenting on how beautiful a setting it was. The service and food was top notch. Kay was great to ensure the day ran smoothly and checked in with us throughout the day without over doing it and letting us enjoy the festivities. One stand out moment was when she arrived with a plate of canapé’s as we were getting our couple photos done to ensure we were feed and didn’t miss out on the delicious food, it was simple but thoughtful touch! We’d a great night celebrating until the early hours and are looking forward to coming back to visit for a night on our 1st Anniversary which was included in our package, a gesture which doesn’t go unnoticed. Communication on the lead up to the wedding was very good and we felt reassured that everything was in hand.

We got married in Castlemartyr in July and to say it was the venue of our dreams would be an understatement. It was incredible! Every single staff member were absolutely amazing, particularly our coordinator Jackie. Jackie and her team were extremely responsive, helpful and friendly throughout the whole planning process. The day itself was spectacular. All our guests raved about the rooms, the food and the service. We haven't stopped getting compliments about the venue. We had our evening before and wedding at Castlemartyr Resort and couldn’t rate Jackie and her team highly enough. It completely exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t recommend Castlemartyr resort more!

From the calm confidence and expertise demonstrated at planning meetings, the generosity and professionalism shown to us at the meal tasting as well as the next level support and service throughout the planning process and wedding weekend itself, the experience was faultless beyond words.

The Resort itself is awash with endless photo opportunities both inside and outdoors, you don’t need to go further afield for your wedding photos, it can all be on site which is another bonus to maximise time with your guests and enjoy your day.

The team are exceptionally experienced from making suggestions, guiding timings, anticipating changes of plan ( weather!) and subtly keeping the timing of the day running smoothly without making anyone feel rushed or conscious of time. The team are always on hand to support and genuinely couldn’t do enough for us, it was clear the team genuinely wanted us to have the best day and did everything they could to ensure that was the case. We trusted Jackie and her team implicitly, as the approach they have to weddings is a tried and tested formula from years of experience but they blend that with a real sense of your own personal choices to create a truly bespoke event.

When we weren’t sure about different aspects or choices, we knew we could ask questions and receive genuine, considered responses and feedback which we could trust, whether this was how to successfully have a pre wedding event the night before, discussing food and drink quantities to cater for a diverse guest list etc - they always had the answer, and they never saw us wrong.

They were incredibly dynamic and responsive in communication in the lead up to the wedding and also on the day, the level of service was unmatched. For example, our wedding photos ended up taking longer than planned during the drinks reception, a member of the team made a selection plate of canapés and brought them to our photo location. As the couple getting married it felt such a treat to be looked after with such care and thoughtfulness, before we’d realised we would need to eat to keep going, food appeared in front of us, absolutely magic. Little touches like this, actually make the day, and really set castlemartyr apart from other venues, it isn’t just “another wedding” you really feel looked after and the above example shows the level of dynamic thinking involved.

Planning a wedding can be a stressful time, but having a team who you know won’t see you wrong from recommended suppliers, suggestions for running of the day, last minute tweaks and collaborating on how to put your stamp on the day while ensuring the timings still made sense around ceremony, food, music - the whole experience was so enjoyable and nothing was ever too much trouble. All staff knew our names, delivering an incredibly personal touch and all staff were so professional and personable.

The team deliver a true 5 star experience and exceeded our wildest dreams for our wedding day.

Jackie, Kay and her team went above and beyond to make the day as easy and as memorable as it was. They were so helpful always available via email and made the day run so smoothly. I distinctly remember at our drinks reception feeling we wanted more time to mingle and chat with our guests, Kay and Jackie picked up on this and advised they would call off ringing the bell for another 30 mins. From the beautiful Christmas tree in the knights bar to the twinkle of lights in every corner of the hotel. Jackie, Kay and the team made our day one we will never forget. The wedding team and the staff at Castlemartyr were absolutely amazing and made our day the most special it could possibly be. Our wedding was a mix of both Irish and Pakistani cultures with lots of Pakistani touches so it was by no means an easy wedding to coordinate but the resort pulled it off seamlessly in a spectacular fashion and made it all look so easy! We had our wedding reception at Castlemartyr in July this year. We were delighted with the new renovations to the resort which make it very modern but also still capture the essence of the old style manor house. Our guests were very impressed with the venue and the attentive staff. All the staff were excellent, we would especially like to thank Yvonne and Jackie for all the time put into the preparations everything was fab on the day. Also to Trevor and Kay who made it very personalised they were a great help to us over the 3 days we were there. The morning after the wedding, our guests enjoyed breakfast with us in a private room off the restaurant, it was a lovely opportunity to reminisce on the day before and say our farewells. The staff kindly put some of our wedding flowers on the tables for our guests to enjoy. We were delighted with our choice of venue.

Jackie was a huge help in planning our day and to make it so special. Jackie and Kay were brilliant for making our wedding day, absolutely perfect. It was flawless and we cannot have wanted anything more. All of the staff were brilliant, friendly, and so helpful. All of our guests were blown away, not only by the beauty of the hotel, but by all the staff and their service. The food was a highlight for our guests and having the ceremony outside by the castle made the day. We would definitely recommend it as a venue.

From the moment we drove into the property we new it was for us.
We were met with enthusiasm and excitment at hosting our wedding.
Understanding that sales are sales, however, we didnt feel like we were just another wedding couple, we felt like the only wedding couple.
As we planned our wedding before covid, we experienced a few different changes with staff.
The support and kindness that was shown by Jackie when we first postponed was beyond a job title, it was personal understanding and empathy at the situation. We received the same graciousness when we had to pospone a second time.
Picking a third date had its challenges and it was intenses for a period of time. This left is a little deflated at the time. All was explained and clear when we heard of the take over. What pressure and uncertainty for managers at the time in the middle of a pandemic must have been very stressfull.
5star is not easy to achieve and its even more difficult to maintain. Congratulations to all who managed to keep a clear head and remain so upbeat and supportive in such an uncertain time all round.
With the new take over it feels like we jave been on a journey with the hotel. We grew in momentum on the preparations for our wedding and so did the resort with all the improvements. As the months passed we were getting stronger as a couple and the resort was getting stronger as a destination too.
A litte lesson in change and development being positive even though it can be uncertain and a little shaky along the way with some ups and downs. On reflection entering into marriage has a similar journey, hard work getting there and hard work to maintain with a beautiful outcome.

It takes a strong team and group of teams to run such an operation. This can only be achieved with strong leadership which is certainly the case here. I think the right team of people are in situ and will bring much strength and success to the resort.

The waiting staff were always wih a smile, always took time to say hello and exchange pleasentries with an interest in your day and suggestions of things to do in the area.

Our wedding coordinator Sarah was very warm and professional from the first day of contact. Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah. From the minute we arrived to the hotel we were made to feel special. On the wedding day they made our two small children feel very welcome and special too. Our day was seamless and it enabled us to enjoy the day without any worry. I would highly recommend Castlemartyr Resort Hotel. The grounds are stunning and its a magical venue for a wedding.

Jackie and Kay were amazing for making our wedding day, unbelievably perfect. It was absolutely flawless and we cannot have wanted anything more. From the moment we booked with Castlemartyr, we have been treated with the utmost respect and been accommodated at all times, even after two date changes due to covid 19. Details were carefully considered and we were contacted any time there was a query. Jackie has been amazing at getting back to us and ensuring it was such an easy process, especially when we do not live in Ireland.

When we arrived ahead of the wedding, we were treated like royalty and that we were so special all throughout our stay. The whole wedding day was flawless and I would not change a thing, and that was a credit to all of the staff at Castlemartyr. Our wedding at the Castlemartyr Resort Hotel was truly exceptional. Jackie's professionalism and excellent organisational skills made the preparation for our wedding day seamless. The venue itself was spectacular, with our overseas guests complimenting particularly the magnificent grounds and the superb golf course. The staff on the day were highly efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would like to particularly mention the concierge staff Trevor and Gerard for the excellent service they provided us during the weekend of our wedding and also to Kay for making sure everything ran smoothly on the day. The beautifully arranged Capel Suite, the magnificent food served on the day and the excellent attention to detail by the hotel staff made it a day to remember. We would highly recommend the Castlemartyr Resort Hotel as a wedding venue.

Our day was so special. The team at Castlemartyre could not have done more for us. Both Jackie and Kay are phenomenal and incredible at what they. We would genuinely reccommend Castlemartyr to anyone. We were looking for a venue that could offer a luxurious, relaxed atmosphere for us and our guests to enjoy and one that was professional and reputable enough such that planning the wedding would be as little stress and hassle as possible. We found that and more to be true of Castlemartyr.

The following became apparent right from our inital visit, when we first made our enquiries. The experience and warm nature of the team really fills you with confidence that your wedding day will be of the utmost quality, or at least it did for us and at every point thereafter we recieved 5 star treatment.

Every query or request we had was promptly answered and dealt with. And ours were few, because in fairness, they already had everything in hand. Our menu tasting experience only fuelled our excitement further, and we availed of a preferential B&B rate on that occasion too, which we would highly reccommend.

Everything about the day went as planned, in a seemless nature. I think when you are left with that impression, that everything is where and how it should be, but you have no idea who did it or when it was done - it goes to demonstrate the efficiency of the team in Castlemartyr.

We thank Sarah and Kay, and compliment the rest of the team on their super high standards - They are absolutely fantastic at what they do and lovely while they do it too! Moreover, our guests echo this, and havent stopped telling us so since the wedding!

We were married at Castlemartyr on the 27th of December and had the most beautiful experience from start to finish. Jackie our wedding coordinator was amazing from the outset, she is a fantastic communicator and her input and help was invaluable to us. If there is anyone here considering Castlemartyr my advice is to go for it. We have the most special memories to past a lifetime and our only regret is that we can't do it all over again. Our wedding at Castlematyr was everything we wished for and more. Sarah was our wedding planner and she was absolutely fantastic to deal with. So helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure we had the best day. Some family members contracted covid just before the wedding and couldn't make it and the hotel went above and beyond to set up screens for them to be able to zoom the ceremony and the speeches. The venue itself is spectacular and the service we received from all of the staff was 5 star. We had a small wedding and we had the ceremony in the garden suite and the reception in the kiltha room, both rooms were stunning, and the food and wine was top notch. We can't wait to make many more return trips in the coming years.

We had our wedding ceremony in the blue garden room and then our reception in the ballroom. The garden room ceremony was magical. Food is phenomenal. All staff lovely. The day ran smoothly. All guests extremely impressed with venue and service.

From initial contact to the wedding day the professionalism and assistance offered by Sarah and Jackie was outstanding. They quickly responded to any queries we had and shared many recommendations and suggestions. On the wedding day everything ran smoothly and effortlessly all down to Sarah's coordinating. Having first visited Castlemartyr for a weekend in 2014 and falling in love with the venue & the amazing staff, there really was no contest when it came to choosing Castlemartyr as our wedding venue when we became engaged in 2019. Having initially booked our wedding for September 2020, Covid put paid to this and we rescheduled more than once, but we finally had the pleasure of hosting our wedding ceremony & reception at Castlemartyr Resort on Friday 01st October 2021. Our first meeting was with Elaine Mulcahy and although she is no longer with the resort she deserves a mention as we had all our dealings with Elaine up to January 2020.
Then enter the ?tour de force? that is Jackie Day. In the months leading up to our day nothing was ever too much of an ask and at times I would feel guilty emailing Jackie ? there were many emails! Planning a wedding with restrictions has put enormous stress on couples and hotels alike with so many moving parts and Jackie was wonderful to deal with at all times. Jackie is an expert in wedding co-ordination, and while I am a perfectionist, Jackie on the day was on hand at all times and thought of the little things that I forgot ? coffee, prosecco, light brunch etc. brought to the bridal suite where it was very much welcomed by us all as we had an early start that morning. I know that she did so much more on the day that I didn't see and I will be forever grateful to Jackie. We can honestly say, hand on heart, that our wedding day was the best day of our lives and it was all made possible by Jackie and the team at Castlemartyr. I even think Jackie had a say in the weather as the sun shone that day and our dream of having our ceremony outside was fulfilled (I arrived at the venue 2 days before the wedding with my chief bridesmaid and the weather was dismal, especially on the eve of the wedding). I may have planned our special day but it was the execution on the day by Jackie and the wider team that really wowed both Donnagh and I. I would have those 4 days back in a heartbeat and at Castlemartyr.
Our family and friends were also treated exceptionally well that weekend, as we all travelled from Clare the majority stayed 2/3 nights, and they have all commented on the friendliness of the staff, the service, the food and the standard of accommodation.
We also want to give a special mention to Kay and Trevor, who went above and beyond, not only that weekend, but also for the times before the wedding when we visited the hotel to stay or on day trips with our families to show them the venue, you both have always been so welcoming. Brendan you have built an amazing team at Castlemartyr and we wish you all continued success.

I cannot thank Castlemartyr resort enough and Sarah Flynn for all they did for our wedding. I provided all the decor and they set up everything to exactly how I wanted. We got married in Castlemartyr on 22nd of August 2021, we had the most amazing weekend of our life's. Everything was just perfect, the staff went above and beyond to make it the most special experience for us. We got to relax and enjoy our day knowing that wonderful Jackie had every last detail taken care of. Trevor was also exceptional, as well as all of the staff from the morning until the late hours. We really could not thank them enough and cannot wait to return to see everyone and relax with the newest member of our family, baby Bobby. The resort is amazing and is one of the best hotels in country. The food, service and setting are top class and there is so many options to personalize your wedding and make it your own. We had a meal and drinks reception the night before, followed by the big day and then a more casual day two at the hunted hog. You really don't get an understanding to the amount of work that goes into weddings until you have been though it as the bride and groom, its very stressful and emotional... we were so safe in the hands of Jackie, this made everything so seamless, enjoyable and memorable. We really made the hotel ours for the weekend and all our guests had a fantastic experience. The staff made us fell a million bucks all weekend and went the extra mile every time.

Our wedding at the Castlemartyr Resort was everything we expected and more. The staff were so friendly and super helpful. They made sure the day ran perfectly. All of our friends and family were blown away with how the venue looked and how good the staff were.

We had our wedding here on the 24th of July. It was the most amazing experience!! A special mention for Jackie who is the wedding coordinator. She is such a wonderful person, so organised, accommodating, nothing is too much for her to sort out. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with her through the process. She is a wealth of knowledge about all things wedding related. As soon as you drive up to Castlemartyr you just feel immediately so special. All the staff are so friendly throughout the hotel even if you are merely just walking along the corridors. Check in was smooth and the Saul suite was stunning!! Very spacious, beautiful decor, views of the castle and back gardens. Gerald was on concierge for our stay and he was brilliant, he checked in on us, provided water for the room when the bridal party was getting ready just all the littrl small touches( The weather was very hot that weekend). We had so many things as you do when getting married he got everything to our room and packed up our car perfectly on leaving. We had a rehearsal meal at 12/10 on the Friday service was impeccable and the food delicious!! The morning of our wedding ran very smoothly everyone was directed to the bridal suite, breakfast was served up in our room and was fab!! We didn't feel under pressure at all Jackie came up and advised me when we would have to come down. The ceremony set up was incredible!! I was so blown away by it. Honestly We didn't have to think about anything on the day. Jackie came and brought us back to our suite for 30mins before our dinner just to relax. Kay took over for our dinner reception and it was superb. As soon as we walked in our cake and seating plans were all perfect the ballroom was just so so so incredibly beautiful. Dinner was delicious. Despite covid we had 50 guests and we felt safe the entire time during our stay. Organising a wedding during such times was difficult but castlemartyr really did a magnificent job. We also have 2 dogs that were part of our big day and they were accommodated in the dog rooms at the hotel again a brilliant service!! When they arrive they had dog beds dog bowls treats and cute little canine guest tag!! If you are considering it for your wedding or just a holiday just book it you won't regret it. A really really wonderful experience that we will never forget and hopefully we'll be back soon. 5 star experience and 10/10.

Castlemartyr is the most fabulous venue and we are so thrilled we decided to have our wedding there. During the Covid pandemic over the last 1.5 years, the team have been so supportive and incredibly flexible in helping us to rearrange our wedding. We ended up postponing our wedding three times and with the help of Castlemartyr, the stress and worry was taken out of this for us as nothing was a problem for them and they helped us to plan around the restrictions. We cannot thank the staff enough for all their wonderful service, support and help throughout the planning of our big day, and of course for the amazing personal touches they provided on our wedding day. We were made to feel so special, all our guests were extremely well looked after and everyone is still talking about how wonderful the food, service and venue was. We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding reception in Castlemartyr Resort on Saturday the 10th of July 2021.
We had a delightful experience from our first contact with the hotel last November up until our wedding day.

Our first experience with Castlemartyr Resort was with Danielle Murhilly (events management) just after we got engaged. She was extremely helpful and was genuinely excited for us as we started to plan our wedding.

Danielle passed us onto their outstanding wedding planner Jackie Day in December 2020. I am slightly embarrassed to say that I exchanged 240 emails with Jackie from then until July 2021! Jackie was at all times; warm, friendly, helpful and extremely efficient! There was no request that Jackie didn't do her utmost to fulfil. Wedding planning during Covid-19 was at times stressful but Jackie assisted us to navigate the continued changes to restrictions and guidelines! Her attention to detail shone through on the day of the wedding when our plans were executed with perfection!

We had truly magical day with their wonderful staff.
On the morning of the wedding the bridal party attended the spa for hair and makeup. This truly was a lovely experience and started the day with excitement and the royal treatment we continued to receive throughout our wedding day.

The food was incredible and lots of guests complemented the menu after the big day.

We were blown away by the job Jackie and her colleagues did to deliver a wedding that was beyond our expectations.
From the minute we arrived in Castelmartyr the day before our wedding every detail was looked after. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful.
On the wedding day itself, the garden room (for our scaled down COVID wedding) looked like a dream. Our guests commented that the food was some of the best they had ever had at a wedding and we completely agree!
We would like to give a special mention to Chris Harold, who on the night we felt went above and beyond for us.
Although it was not the wedding we originally planned, Castlemartyr made sure we didn't feel hindered by restrictions and the day felt so relaxed and special. We wouldn't change a thing about the day and would have no hesitation in recommending Castlemartyr to family and friends.

We got married in Castlemartyr in June 2021 and had an absolutely fantastic stay start to finish. The staff could not have been more accommodating, even going as far as providing special orders for our guests. We had 25 guests in the Garden Room and it was set up so beautifully for our special day. Our son was included in many ways especially in the lead up which meant a lot to us. Everyone had a fantastic time and felt very safe. The food was amazing and our guests really enjoyed the whole experience.We could not have done it wihout the amazing help of Jackie Day, G?rard, Chris and all the team in Castlemartyr. They organised everything with very little time and the day went off without a hitch. Our drinks reception was outside in the gardens and Ciara who was serving us was so friendly and fun. We stayed for a second day and night relaxing in the gardens and taking it all in. It was such a beautiful experience for us and we couldn't be happier. We just can't wait to get back now!!

I was very happy to have my wedding in the Castlemartyr hotel. Thanks very much to the wonderful team at Castlemartyr hotel for arranging everything. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and looked after us so well. We got ready in a very spacious bridal suite which I was very happy with. We managed to have the ceremony outside and everything was beautifully set-up. The wedding decor in the Living Room and Garden Room were also lovely. We booked a spa the next day and we were allowed to check out later in the afternoon which I really appreciated. I also enjoyed the lovely breakfast. I'll definitely go back for my one year anniversary next year.

From the moment we got engaged we knew we wanted to get married at Castlemartyr Resort. Coming over from London and visiting a number of stunning venues across Ireland, Castlemartyr stood out for two reasons: it is a truly spectacular venue and the staff were just so warm & welcoming.

We were originally supposed to get married in May 2020 with 150 guests coming from all over the globe. The events team were really great in providing us with different options and showed tremendous flexibility in adapting to the needs of both our families, they worked with us to hold a smaller, more intimate wedding in September 2020. As our coordinator Jackie Day promised, it would be a ?relaxed and magical family day? and it was exactly that.?

The big day itself was so dreamy. The ceremony was outdoors by the gardens & fountain followed by a reception & dinner in the Garden Room which was just stunning! The events team had every single detail covered and they ensured the day was completely stress free. The staff were so professional & welcoming and made our guests feel safe and comfortable.

To Jackie, Kaye, Elaine, Trevor and the all the team at Castlemartyr, from the bottom of my hearts we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for us leading up to & on the day of the wedding.

We had a wonderful wedding and we can't thank the Castlemartyr Resort enough for helping make it as special as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. The handling and management of the reception was outstanding. The staff friendly and supportive, the food delicious. The venue beautiful and so well kept. When we first met with the hotel in 2019 we knew we were going to be in good hands. Considering the difficulties around pandemic re-plans and restrictions we believe we were proven right. Throughout all, the hotel remained professional, understanding and as flexible as possible. A much reduced wedding in terms of number than originally planned, it became the big wonderful day we hoped for nonetheless. Couldn't recommend the Castlemartyr Resort more.

Cannot fault Castlemartyr. We had the most magical day and the service and food in Castlemartyr was exceptional. There were a few hiccups two nights before the wedding but I mentioned the issues and they really pulled it back on the night before the wedding and our wedding day. The reality is you can't do the day again but I can't imagine having had as great a day anywhere else.
We have been to numerous weddings and have had a number of family weddings and in a lot of ways Castlemartyr is the same as any other hotel but for me and my husband, we felt that the service and the food on the day really sets it apart.

We got married in Castlemartyr in October and spent the weekend there Friday - Monday. From the moment we arrived we felt like royalty. We were introduced to all of the managers and staff and they made sure we were looked after all weekend. It was literally the best weekend of our lives!
Jackie Day was our wedding coordinator and nothing was ever an issue or a problem to her, she literally answered all of our questions within hours / days and always helped with suggestions and advice. She was a pleasure to deal with and so witty - a credit to Castlemartyr.
On Friday we had our church rehearsal and had family and friends stay over. Jackie booked out 'The Living Room' for us for the evening where we had finger food and drinks. The cocktails are absolutely amazing!
On the Saturday, the wedding morning, everyone was on hand to make sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond my expectations. Breakfast, brunch, prosecco and strawberries were brought to the room for me and my bridal party. Any last minute hiccups were sorted with ease and everything was just perfect.
The arrival reception provided for us and our guests was amazing; canapes, prosecco, cider punch. The evening 5-course meal was the highlight for many guests! The quality of the food was outstanding with steaks cooked absolutely perfectly.
On Sunday morning, we had our own banqueting room with table service breakfast for all of our guests, where the room was ours right up until 1pm. Guests used the leisure and spa facilities, ate in the bar, and had drinks in the bar for the day.
Our guests are still talking about the staff at Castlemartyr, how they were treated, and how they cannot wait to return for a future visit. Many said it was the best wedding venue they have ever been to. I cannot thank the staff at Castlemartyr enough, genuinely. It was the most perfect weekend and I think about it every day! Julie X x

Myself and my husband Dave got married in Castlemartyr on 28th September this year. Jackie was our wedding coordinator and we certainly got lucky the day she replied to my email!! Jackie was our knight in shining armour. She was always on the other end of the phone or computer and I was never waiting long for a reply. She bent to manyof our requests with ease and was happy to facilitate. She was highly professional and organised and it made our day so much easier knowing she was taking care of us. She never once slipped up and I cannot say enouhj about her. She was simply, amazing. Castlemartyr was a fabulous venue. They looked after us so well, from the food to the staff to the rooms. We had the most beautiful room and both our sets of parents were put up in gorgeous set ups. My dad is in a wheelchair and it was never a hassle for them to come and collect him. We genuinely cannot praise them enough. They went above and beyond our expectations and we would recommend them to anyone.

Patrick and I had the most amazing wedding day at Castlemartyr Resort on 13.09.2019. Our wedding coordinator Jackie Day was fantastic, not only in terms of her professionalism but also her flair and interest in all things weddings. She kept us on track throughout the process, answering all questions and most importantly kept us cool, calm and collected throughout when any anxieties or stresses arose.

Our wedding day could not have been more perfect. We planned our day from the US and could not have done it without our wonderful wedding coordinator and the Castlemartyr team. They were extremely flexible in our timeline when we had a few delays before dinner but also helped to keep us on track and coordinate all events of the evening. I cannot thank the team enough!

From the first time we met Elaine at Castlemartyr we know that we had found the perfect venue for our wedding. Elaine was an absolute pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. Everything was made so easy when making decisions. The advice we got at our Tasting meal and when choosing our wine was second to none. We felt special from day one and every time we visited the hotel they couldn't do enough for us. On the day of our wedding Elaine and the team treated both us and our guests in the manner we had come to expect.

The wedding from start to finish was absolutely amazing. When we called we were speaking with Jackie who was absolutely amazing. If anyone has Jackie you will not be disappointed. We then met Trevor who is just out on his own. No words could ever describe what Jackie and Trevor done for us.

Castlemartyr is a 5 star resort and we were treated as royals every step of our journey from the wedding planning stages right up to the special day. The staff were welcoming and at all times helpful and attentive. Our wedding coordinator Elaine was most approachable and friendly. She was, along with all the staff at Castlemartyr, most helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make our day special and memorable.
Our wedding day was unique and incorporated both a church ceremony and a Hindu ceremony. The Hindu ceremony was held outdoors within the grounds of Castlemartyr resort. The staff at Castlemartyr all worked incredibly hard to ensure that the setup of our Hindu ceremony was as we desired; the layout of the Mandap, the setup of the guest chairs by the fountain, the location of statues and Flowers etc . We didn't need to worry, all was in capable hands.
Our guests very much enjoyed the well-presented drinks reception outdoors and commended the exquisite menu served in the magestic Capel suite.
The rooms were most comfortable and out of this world. Oh and as for the presidential suite one cannot find the right words: Wow simply wow !

From the beginning right through to the big day the staff and management of Castlemartyr Resort were absolutely fantastic. Our wedding coordinator Jackie was exceptional. No query went unanswered and she couldn't have done more to make our day more special and memorable. Also Trevor was extremely welcoming & warm and delivered on his promise for the weather on our big day!!! The Resort and surrounding grounds are stunning, the staff are extremely friendly and the food was delicious. Our guests were very impressed and they especially enjoyed the late breakfast the next morning.

Castlemartyr Resort was the perfect location for our wedding this summer! The entire team especially our wonderful coordinator Jackie Day made the whole experience incredibly enjoyable without any stress. No request was too big or too small and the entire team at Castlemartyr were welcoming and helpful throughout. The food is a particular highlight at Castlemartyr with many of our guests astonished at the extremely high standard. Rooms at the Resort are another highlight, again many of our guests were blown away by them. Elaine was our wedding co-ordinator and an absolute gem, but so many people in Castlemartyr -from Ivan & Hazel in accommodations, Kay the banqueting manager, Khan the bar manager and Trevor the Customer Service manager- made planning our wedding and the day itself the stuff of dreams. It was an absolute pleasure and nothing was too much for them. The level of professionalism, care and flexibility was second to none and I cannot recommend Castlemartyr Resort and their amazing staff enough. The food was incredible and all of our guests commented on the venue, the food and the amazing atmosphere. It is a day we will always always treasure and we will never forget the treatment we got.

There are not enough words in the english vocabulary to positively describe our wedding experience at Castlemartyr. Me and Naomi (Naomi is Irish and I am Maltese) live in Malta and with the recent addition to our family, it was quite daunting going into wedding preparations this early after welcoming Olivia only 7 months prior to our wedding day.

We only traveled 3 times to Ireland prior to the wedding so email and phone calls was all we could have to communicate. HAving said that, Jackie and her team seem to have their computers glued to their hands. I doubt there was a time we had to wait for more than 1-2 hours for a reply. Each time the replies were detailed, accurate and reassuring. We quite took the back seat for a few weeks knowing Jackie had everything under control. This however resulted in us changing our minds on some details quite close to the wedding day... a wedding planners worse nightmare you'd imagine. The resort never made us feel unreasonable or uncomfortable with our requests and ALWAYS tried their best (and managed) to satisfy our desired. Even when it lashed up until 1 hour prior to the outdoor ceremony, the staff where locked and loaded and set up outdoors in record time. Yes we where graced with enough dry weather to finish our ceremony. The pictures are awesome !

The venue was beautifully set. There is a sense of privacy that separates you from the hotel guests, which was what we primarily looked for. My groomsmen/best man had quite a good life at the wedding, the resort where on top of things, most often kindly nudging me with the days schedule.. not intruding at all. The food and beverage service, equal to no other in my opinion. None of this deceiving belly filling gimmicks we've all seen at weddings. Quality meats, fresh produce and an excellently well balanced menu.

My guests still speak of our wedding. I would also add a 6th star category, 'Personal', which is what Castlemartyr has made this to be.

My husband Oisin and I got married in Castlemartyr last month and we are still glowing with gratitude from the absolutely wonderful experience that we had there. What an amazing venue! Castlemartyr is truly outstanding - the grounds and rooms are beautiful, spacious and comfortable and the staff are second to none - particularly the fabulous Jackie Day who was our wedding planner, and Trevor and Kay who also helped to expertly manage the day. They were completely focused on making sure that we were relaxed and happy about things from the time of our initial visit to the hotel; right up to the wedding day itself and beyond. We organised our wedding while living abroad, which brought its own challenges, and they couldn't have been kinder and more understanding in all their dealings with us throughout. We were particularly impressed by the warm welcome bestowed upon both of our families as they checked in the night before the wedding - we really felt completely at home straightaway and fully able to wind down after a busy week of organisation!

Our guests all loved the food on the day; from the drinks reception canapes to the wedding meal itself and the snacks at midnight. The function room was just the right size - intimate and located away from the main body of the hotel so that we had privacy. There is also a beautiful spa, Italian restaurant and golf course so there were plenty of other facilities to enjoy over the weekend. We organised our flowers and make-up with suppliers in the village of Castlemartyr so there are a lot of excellent wedding-related amenities close by as well. There are a great range of accommodation options available in the hotel - from suites to self-catering group lodges on the grounds - which provided great flexibility for our guests. In summary, an absolutely fantastic venue which left us with charming memories of consummate professionalism, gentle generosity and good humour. Many thanks Castlemartyr!

I never felt stressed at any stage and nothing was a problem for Jackie and her team ... even when there was last minute changes nothing was a problem and myself and my husband had such an amazing memorable day

My husband and I are based in Australia. From the moment I enquired with Castlemartyr they went above and beyond to ensure everything was attended to promptly despite the time difference and being so far away. Jackie Day was our wedding coordinator and she couldn't have been more accommodating if she tried. The whole planning process was smooth and easy. She was helpful, attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. We had people pull out of the wedding the day before the big day which meant we had to change the table plan at the very last minute (7.30pm the night before the wedding) and Jackie was extremely understanding and made sure the final arrangements were attended to without any hassle. The big day itself was everything and more anyone could ever dream of and that was down to the venue. The staff and venue itself are exquisite.

The team in Castlemartyr were wonderful to deal with, they went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed for our special day. The food was gorgeous and the grounds were stunning for our photographs. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Castlemartyr is such a wonderful venue and we enjoyed every minute of our wedding here! Just a short drive from Cork city but you feel like you are a million miles away. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for photographs on the day which allowed us to maximise our time at the drinks reception mingling with our guests. Last September we had our wedding reception at Castlemartyr Resort Hotel. From the very first day we met with Jackie, her professionalism, knowledge and advise on weddings swayed us immediately. So we knew we just had to book it! In the lead up and on the day itself, all of the staff were fantastic. We were very lucky along with our families and friends to have booked in for 3 nights. The whole weekend was fantastic and it was down to the service that all of the staff provided. They couldn't have done enough for us. I would highly recommend Castlemartyr to anyone who is getting married.

We chose Castlemartyr Resort for our wedding as it met all the Criteria we were looking for; amazing grounds for photo opportunities, indoor and outdoor options for wedding drinks reception, stunning ballroom, spacious rooms, beautiful decor, top class service and of course a golf course! When we started our wedding venue hunt, near the top of the checklist was that the venue needed have options for self catering as over 50% of our wedding guests were travelling from abroad. This meant that guests could stay for a whole weekend and enjoy a trip away. The self catering lodges were great value for money and all our guests commented how happy they were with the accomodation options. From the moment we arrived the day before the wedding the staff were amazing and could not do enough for you. Everything is seamless and they accommodate any request you have with ease. Danielle was so helpful from the moment we arrived, she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is covered. Also big thanks to Kay for making sure the service at dinner and the evening reception ran perfectly. We would not hesitate to recommend Castlemartyr as a wedding venue for a weekend event!

Castlemarytr Resort was the first and only hotel we viewed prior to booking our wedding. We knew nothing else would compare. We were extremely fortunate to have Jackie Day as our wedding planner. Jackie was hands on from start to finish. Going above and beyond was a regularly occurrence. We visited the hotel regularly on the build up to the wedding and we would always comment on how friendly and professional the staff were. I stayed in the hotels presidential suite the night before the wedding an unexpected surprise. The experience exceeded all my expectations. Our guests still talk about the beautiful food and the hotel itself this is all true however it was the staff that made our day. A truelly magical place with the most amazing team of people. I would highly recommend Castlemarytr Resort.

Our wedding as Castlemartyr was the best experience I could have ever imagined. They went above and beyond in every way possible in making our day, and our entire stay in Castlemartyr absolutely perfect.
I would highly recommend getting married in Castlemartyr as I truly don't believe that anyone could plan and execute a wedding as well as they do.
Even the smallest of details were carried out to perfection. Our wedding flowers were transported to our second-day venue without us even having to ask. They seemed to preempt the questions and problems that could arise before they ever did. It was a truely exceptional service.

We chose Castlemartyr resort hotel as our wedding venue and we were so delighted with our decision. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day for our wedding so we had our ceremony outside with the ruins of a castle in the back drop!! I never thought that would be possible in Ireland but it happened! There was no stress though as the castlemartyr team had a rainy day backup plan in situ that we could have gone with too if needed. We stayed in the hotel the night before and got ready with our bridal party in one of the suites so there was no time pressure on the day. When it came to organising the wedding and the day itself the two girls Danielle and Jackie were amazing! Danielle had the day all laid out, and worried about the little but important things so we were able to totally relax and just enjoy ourselves. I couldn't recommend this venue more highly!

I do not know where to start when it comes to trying to put into words the gratitude I have for Jackie Day, Trevor and all the staff at Castlemartyr who made our wedding the most magical day of our lives! I am living in Paris, and everyone commented on how stressful it must be to plan a wedding from abroad... but thanks to the efficiency and professionalism from Jackie and her team it was not one bit stressful, in fact we had so much fun! Jackie always made time to fit in a chat when I was home, even late on Friday evenings when we were driving home from the airport. In our meetings Jackie always had lots of suggestions, tips and tricks to help ensure our day was everything we wanted and organised efficiently. Whatsmore she is funny and kind; really becoming one of the team when my mum and I would sit with her. She is extremely patient, and never minded when we changed our minds about something only gently reminding us about things we should be doing but never put any pressure with deadlines.
The setting itself is just beautiful, and although we were blessed with sunshine on our day, Castlemartyr also have options to set up indoors if needed. The grounds being as extensive as they are, and stunning all over also means that your photos will be fabulous no matter where you take them and your photographer can choose the location which is best on the given day.
The Capel suite dining room is beautiful. Its simple, tasteful decoration allows lots of space for each couple to add as much of a personal touch as they wish. The food itself was just delicious, all of our guests commented on how good it was. The staff are so attentive to the needs of the guests that I found out a few days later that one of my guests had a headache during dinner and went to her room to lie down. Shortly after arriving at the room the catering staff had arranged for the guest to have her meal sent to her room.
It was lovely to catch up with our guests again in the private breakfast room during the late breakfast for the wedding party. The staff had even thought to bring one of our jumbo balloons down and decorate outside the breakfast door! Although it was a late night for most, all of the guests were still talking about the wonderful time they were having, the beautiful spacious rooms and their plans to go and make the most of the spa or golf facilities for a while.
I cannot even imagine what time it was when the tidy up was being done after our wedding, but by morning every piece of decor and any other belongings that had been found had been carefully gathered and the porters helped us pack up three carloads.

We married on Friday 3rd of August 2018. There were two more weddings in the days that followed and I am sure there are at least 2 or 3 every week of the year. The most amazing thing about Jackie and all the team at Castlemartyr is how despite all the brides they see each week, when it was my day, and from the moment I booked my wedding, I was made to feel as though we were the only couple to every get married there, as if our wedding was the only thing that mattered in the world.
I am so glad that I chose Castlemartyr as my wedding venue. I look forward to visiting with my husband to relive our memories and would have no hesitation in recommending Castlemartyr to everyone!!!

From initial viewing right through to our wedding day almost two years later, Jackie and her team at Castlemartyr were outstandingly organised, professional and facilitating. With so many different elements and vendors to coordinate and organise, we never worried once about the venue or its offerings. Thankfully, all of our guests, most of whom stayed at the venue for a few days could not praise it enough. The personal service provided to each of our guests coupled with the beautifully presented rooms, grounds and facilities ensured that our wedding lived up to our high expectations. We could not recommend this venue enough.

Jackie, Trevor and all the Castlemartyr team couldn't have been more helpful. On our wedding day we felt quite relaxed as we knew Jackie had everything covered. From the first day we met Jackie, the meal tasting to our wedding day Jackie was a breath of fresh air and nothing was ever too much trouble. We enjoyed every minute of our wedding planning with Jackie and we were thrilled with everything on our wedding day! We would recommend Jackie and her team to all of our friends.

What a great venue to have our wedding. We were very well treated by all of the staff at Castlemartyr. Myself and my now wife are living in Canada and it's difficult enough to organize a wedding in your home country never mind living abroad. Jackie the hotels wedding planner is by far the nicest person you could ever meet. She was so helpful in organizing our wedding day and no pressure was put on us at all. If we could do it all over again we would....but only if we could do it again in Castlemartyr. In my opinion and I have stayed at several big named hotels in Ireland, Castlemartyr is by far the nicest and most customer friendly hotel in all of the land. You will not be disappointed if this is your chosen location. The scenery and hotel grounds are spectacular.

Looking at the other amazing reviews on here I can see I'm yet another happy Castlemartyr bride still raving about the fanatstic experience me and my husband had on our wedding day in June 2018. The whole experience was 5 stars from start to end. We were hooked from the moment we drove up the beautiful avenue for our appointment when we were venue hunting. It's the little touches of class that make you and your husband to be feel special. Our wedding planner Jackie Day is pretty much an institution in her own right. She was superb at guiding us through the planning process and was so quick to respond to emails with helpful suggestions and solutions. The food on the day was beautiful, the wine was delicious and flowing and the staff were incredibly attentive. The late breakfast the morning after in a private room with your wedding guests is just the best idea. It was so lovely the next morning sitting at round tables reliving the night before. It makes me whistful even now thinking back on our magical weekend there. I could not imagine myself getting married anywhere else. We were back in the hotel bar for a drink recently and the bar manager recognised us and the drinks were on the house. It's these small touches that make it the venue it is. I couldn't recommend Castlemartyr enough and I can't thank them enough for giving us such a wonderful day.

The venue: it goes without saying that the grounds and interior of the hotel are stunning and provide a wonderful atmosphere for guests and a backdrop for your photos that is second to none. A second plus to the venue itself is the Capel Suite is on the complete other side of the hotel to the hotel bar - which limits the opportunities for strangers to have a nose in at your wedding. Furthermore, the residents' bar is in the Capel Suite where you've been all evening. For a wedding like ours, where a sing-song was always going to be on the cards, this had two benefits (i) we didn't lose our crowd as people were not thrown out of the ballroom and (ii) your sing-song is not disturbing the guests in the residents' bar and the guests in the residents' bar are not disturbing your sing-song - your residents' bar is exclusive to your wedding guests. Third benefit: the hotel provides a late breakfast for wedding guests until 12 noon and this breakfast is provided in a separate room which means the loud dissection of the previous day's events is kept private with your guests.
The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, however, it's the people that make your experience. From the moment we met Jackie, we knew we were in safe hands. I had been to other venues and the attitude of some wedding co-ordinators had really turned us off the venue itself. From start to finish, I could not fault the service we received from the wedding team at Castlemartyr. There truly was nothing that could not be done for us. Absolutely nothing was a problem. When we could not decide on a starter or dessert, we were given a second tasting. When I wondered how my 88-year-old grandmother would make the walk from the reception to the Capel Suite, Jackie organised a golf buggy to transport her - which she LOVED. Jackie helped us with every request to put our personal stamp on the day. Nothing we said and no idea we had was forgotten. In fact Jackie did our wedding thinking for us in the last week when our brains were over-run with all the last-minute jobs. She was also very patient with us as we agonised over details up to the day before in some instances.
The day itself was flawless. We received a warm welcome from Jackie and Brendan on arrival, the drinks reception set-up was exceptionally aesthetically pleasing with the complimentary sangria being the piece de resistance. The quality of the food was second to none. Our guests raved about dinner and the finesse with which it was served. We were looked after exceptionally well by the catering team with Kay at their helm. We were kept in the loop at all times about the beverages that we were covering which allowed us to control our budget as we saw fit. Both Jackie and Kay went above and beyond, doing little jobs that we could not get around to ourselves as we were enjoying the day with our guests.
A lot of couples don't realise until the day after the wedding that the logistics of the wedding continue the day after. At 4am in the morning, Kayleigh was present collecting, according to her list, every little bit of the decor which we had provided. Everything belonging to us was packed carefully and gathered in a little room which allowed for a smooth check-out with no running around looking for everything. The porters treated our belongings with care and made as many trips as were necessary to help us pack up our car. Our flowers had been kept to adorn the private breakfast room and were available for us to distribute to guests as we wished.
Separate from the wedding itself, staying in the hotel was an absolute pleasure. Not one member of staff could be faulted, they were each and every one a joy. On check-out, somebody stopped what they were doing to ask if they could help me with bags. I honestly can't praise the hotel staff highly enough. It was from the moment we arrived, what can only be described as a wonderful experience.
There are presumably weddings taking place at the Resort two to three times a week and this shows in the experience and professionalism of the staff in the planning and preparation of the day. However, on the day, we were made to feel as though we were the only couple who had ever got married here, the sole focus. We are so glad to live near the resort so that we can come and relive our wonderful memories whenever the mood takes us!

It's been just over two months since our wedding in the Castlemartyr Resort. On reflection we thoroughly had an amazing day. The food was incredible, we got a lot of complements from the guests on the quality, service and variation on the menu.
In the lead up to the wedding the staff mainly Jackie could not have been better in helping us plan the day. She was always very responsive, has great attention to detail and was really pleasant to deal with.
The venue itself was perfect. Blending the old with the new, we felt the venue gave us the best of both. There's a nice flow to the place from the reception entrance with the adjacent terrace to the modern main ballroom.

The days before the wedding storm Emma and the beast from the east struck and covered everywhere in snow. I was regularly updated by the wedding coordinators as to the hotels ability help us in any way they could.
The night before the wedding the staff went to great lengths to make sure my family and I made it safely to the hotel. We When my hairdresser cancelled the day before the wedding as it was unsafe to drive, the brilliant Jackie (wedding coordinator) booked a local hair dresser for me and my wedding party and arranged transport through the snow slush. Due to the weather there were so many last minute changes, including moving the ceremony venue to the hotel, all of this happened so smoothly and without any fuss or stress.
I don't think any other venue and team could have handled all the hiccups we had and ensured everything was flawless in the end!

Jackie Day our wedding coordinator, had clients, but promised a swift follow up, and sure enough a few hours later we had an email from her with details of how the wedding process works in Castlemartyr and an offer to contact us via phone for any questions.

Planning a wedding from afar, this is the kind of service you are looking for, someone who follows up when they say they will and provides help and support on best practices and great local suppliers.

The day itself was incredible, we were able to move the drinks reception to the outside as it was a stunning day, the arrival welcome was flawless, and our guests felt well looked after and had plenty of food and drinks to keep them entertained. I had not arranged music for this portion, but at the last hour decided we wanted someone and Jackie arranged a local Pianist to come and play for the reception. It was perfect background, mingling music. We had a team of staff ready to assist as needed, extra plates of food waiting for us after we arrived, so we would not go hungry, we got a sneak peek at the chapel suite, and whisked away for a quiet drink by ourselves, so we could get a half hour to ourselves during the day.

Dinner was incredible, the staff did a wonderful job setting us up for our arrival walk in, the catering for a large number of vegetarians / Coeliac's. Everything was labelled appropriately and all of the guests commented on how great the food was.
Our only piece of feedback was after the desert, the transition from dinner to evening could have been a bit smoother. My husband and myself had to run around a bit to get some pieces sorted as the staff available were unsure of what to do, I think the day had run a half hour late (our fault due to pictures), so perhaps the duty manager had finished and the banqueting team were unsure of transition process.

Other than that, the venue was great for a smaller wedding (we had 92) and the room still felt full when the dancing started. There was lovely evening fayre food brought on around 11.30pm, and having the residents bar in the suite was great as it kept everyone together. One of the best bits was the morning after we had a dedicated breakfast room, where all the guests gathered until 12pm and talked about the wedding, it was so relaxed and a wonderful way to spend the next morning.

We thought the team there did an incredible job, we would highly recommend the venue as it is spectacular and the staff were so friendly and polite. All our guests commented on how this was one of the best wedding venues they had ever been too for food, staff and location.

Castlemartyr Resort provided first class service for our wedding day. We're still receiving high praise for the food, venue and the staff from our guests.
We would not hesitate to recommend this venue to friends, to host their weddings here. It really went beyond our expectations. We'd love to be able to do it all over again in Castlemartyr :)

Could not say enough about Castlemartyr, from start to finish they were exceptional. We organised the wedding from outside Ireland, our co-ordinator was super responsive by email. On the day and afterwards we had countless guests telling us how fabulous the service was - one of the staff even loaned one of our guests his tie! Another friend had an early flight to catch and the staff arranged a car from door to door. Fantastic service, amazing staff, delicious food and a beautiful venue.

We had the most amazing experience in Castlemartyr, every time we visited before the wedding everyone was so friendly and by the time it came I felt like it was my second home.Our suite was stunning and all our guests commented on the beautiful rooms and food. We recently held our Wedding in Castlemartyr Resort Cork on the 1st September 2017.

From the moment we met Jackie Day and her team at Castlemartyr Resort they couldn't have done enough for us. Nothing was too small or too big when asked. The attention to details was impeccable and every idea was welcomed and incorporated into our day.
The planning process was so stress free and everything was flawless. Jackie Day liaised with all our suppliers and coordinated our wedding for the three days.
The staff are absolutely brilliant with a five star attitude, so helpful and genuinely care that we got what we desired before, on the day and after. There are so many extras they did for us that was not factored in and we only realised after this had been done which made it more magical.

The Ballroom was fabulous and looked amazing along with the most unbelievable delicious food I have ever tasted. All our guests were so complimentary regarding the food not just served on the day but also the next morning. The superiority of the staff on the day were 5 star, so professional and attentive.

Castlemartyr Resort Hotel gave us the wedding we've always dreamed of. From the first enquiry to the moment we checked out, the management and staff tailored to our every need. We can only thank them from the bottom of our hearts and would highly recommend them your special day.

From the moment we stepped foot in Castlemartyr Resort, we felt so welcomed and at home. Jackie and Trevor were absolutely amazing and we can't praise them highly enough for their professionalism, dedication and kindness to us throughout the whole planning process. They really couldn't do enough for us! In the days leading up to our wedding, I felt like Jackie was my PR, she had every detail of our wedding off and had the room set up exactly how I imagined it to be! She even put the batteries into the fairy lights. Nothing was ever a problem and every wish was fulfilled without fail.
Furthermore on our wedding day, Kay ensured that everything ran smoothly and was there overseeing everything to the last detail. Every member of staff looked after our every need. Everyone commented on how they loved the food and described it as a fairytale wedding. We found it so difficult to leave the presidential suite, that we stayed 3 more days then planned! (6 in total as I got ready there too!) On the morning of the wedding, there was plenty of space for my whole family, and bridal party to relax and get ready (10 people). Looking back, it was like a dream come true!

We had our stunning outdoor ceremony on a beautiful summer's day on July 8, 2017 in front of the Castlemartyr castle ruins. We can't thank Danielle and her team enough for the seamless way the ceremony went and how there was transport for our bridesmaids and for my Dad and I just to make us feel extra special. They also looked after my mother, who isn't well and has to use a wheelchair, by driving her and collecting her after the ceremony, so thoughtful and so very kind to her. I was especially nervous and Danielle and Sian were so good at putting me at ease before journeying over to the ruins! The bridesmaids and I had to change our outfits as we were having a cultural theme - both Bengali and Irish - to represent both our backgrounds, and the timing and ensuring everything went smoothly before the dinner, was fantastic. All our personal touches were everywhere in the drinks reception, hallway and corridors and we were delighted at the feedback from guests. Our only criticism was during the dinner as there didnt seem to be any banquet manager on duty to liase with us so both my husband and I did have to try and track down someone to see about the microphone for speeches, and to see where our props were after dinner. This could have been an easy oversight though and the waiters and waitresses were impeccable and did everything they could for us and the young barmen couldnt do enough for us. I must add that Danielle was looking after and in attendance on the day before the wedding also for the bridesmaids and I and ensured any spa treatments or requirements were catered for also.
All-in-all the service is absolutely excellent, the food and drinks were amazing, the venue is exceptional and everything we could have ever imagined as our perfect wedding day was above our families' and friends and our expectations so thank you so much to Danielle and the team, and to Trevor for the sweet touch when we were leaving with the farewell teddy bear, really put a warm smile on our faces after a fantastic weekend!!

Our wedding experience, covering every aspect of service delivery, was simply perfect. Every query was managed and responded to efficiently through a dedicated point of contact. Our most wonderful day ran seamlessly thanks to Castlemartyr's experienced team who are utterly professional in their approach while exuding a warm and friendly approach. With a large diverse seasonal menu to chose from - one is spoilt for choice. Our guests not only loved the array of fine foods but were surprised by the generosity of portions. And what a setting for those wedding photos!! We have some beautiful pictures on the grounds which are meticulously maintained. Wow, what can we say... words don't even begin to explain. What a beautiful venue we couldn't of picked a better place to have our wedding! We got married in Castlrmartyr Resort in June 2017 and they gave us the best wedding day we could ever have imagined! The location is very good, close to the coast with plenty of beautiful churches nearby providing great photo opportunities. It was a very sunny day so our drinks reception was held in the gardens and our guests loved it! We booked the in house pianist and she was fantastic. The meal and ballroom both exceeded expectations. The additional houses available on the grounds were affordable and our guests were very happy with them. The staff were very professional and from the moment we booked they were on hand to advise about any special requests - From tayto carts, to local hairdressers and dry cleaners to get the wedding dress steamed. Management were always available but never intrusive, we were advised throughout the day where we should be and what to do - so we could simply enjoy ourselves. We booked the honeymoon suite again for day 2 allowing us more time to relax and enjoy this amazing venue even more!

My Husband and I had the pleasure of getting married in Castlemartyr Resort in June 2017 and I am so delighted we chose it as a venue for so many reasons. We currently live in Australia but chose to get married back in Ireland. For us, securing a venue and being comfortable with a team and organiser who would look after our every need from afar while keeping us informed at all times was extremely important to us. Let's just say Jackie Day and her team at Castlemartyr were second to none in this regard.

Jackie has the immense ability to make you feel you are the only Bride and Groom getting married in their venue in the year. She makes you feel uniquely special in every way. In reality I'm sure she caters for hundreds of couples over the course of the year but we never felt like we were in a larger group or in a que! Her attention to detail, professionalism, speed at responding to you, receptiveness for accepting feedback, flexibility and above all her gentle and humorous personality meant working with Jackie and her team was an absolute pleasure. She made organising a wedding from Australia a completely seamless and positive experience. I initially envisaged it to be a nightmare but was completely wrong.

Jackie's extended team were also a delight to deal with in particular Trevor at front of house, the banqueting Manager (whose name fails me) and her team. My husband and I were delighted to hear so many positive feedback and stories from our many guests, many who had travelled from afar, over the course of the weekend about how great quality the food was, the large hot portions they were served and the attentiveness of the wait staff. The size of all guest bedrooms were also very well received! Making sure our guests were well looked after was important to us so we were delighted to hear this.

Finally, the grounds in Castlemartyr speak for themselves. What better setting could you have for your wedding photos. The team at the Resort do a fantastic job at maintaining these, both inside and out, at all time to ensure they are picture perfect on the day. We are lucky to now have great memories and pictures of our day taken both inside the old Manor House, around the Castle ruins and in the gardens.

I would whole heartedly advise anyone to choose Castlemartyr as their wedding venue. If you are looking for a beautiful setting, an ?A Class? team and a uniquely special personal low stress experience then in my opinion you should look no further. I will always be grateful to Jackie and her team for giving us, our families and our friends a very special day!

We got married 2.6.17 here at Castlemartyr , from the stunning venue , the elegance that is the function room , the food from the wide variety of canapés down to the meal , mouth watering. The staff can not do enough , I got so caught up in the moment and stupidly miss placed my bag, the staff went above and beyond to get it and so they did , hidden behind a tree !!.Nothing was ever a issue or a drama and I have to thank Danielle or wedding coordinator an absolute dream to work with , so efficient and worked to helping create the most magical memorable day of our lives and for that I cannot recommend her and all staff at castlemartyr . Fantastic venue! Pricey but you definitely receive 5 star service. Food was excellent. The rooms are stunning. Jackie is an amazing wedding planner. She was very prompt and accurate with things. She really helped ease the stress!

We are so thankful that we chose Castlemartyr as our wedding venue. The hotel and grounds are absolutely stunning. The Knights Bar and terrace are the perfect setting for a cocktail reception. The Capel Suite is so beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. But it is the staff that make this venue truly special. From start to finish they made us and our guests feel so welcome and comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they even returned the groomsmen's tuxes to Cork for us! Danielle was truly incredible throughout the planning process and on the day itself. She put our minds at ease throughout the planning and nothing was ever a bother for her. Kay was fantastic and ensured the night went off without a problem. The day after our guests played golf and we had a bbq in the club house. The food there was also delicious and just what everyone needed after a late night. We will be definitely be recommending Castlemartyr to all our friends. Myself and my husband can't recommend Castlemartyr highly enough. We had a fantastic day. The staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. From the moment we checked in your team couldn't have been more obliging and the courtesy and professionalism they offered us and our guests and suppliers was sublime.

There are a few individuals that really stood out and we would be grateful if you could please pass on our thanks to them:

Leeann - at the front desk, smiled from start to finish and I am sure was sick of the sight of us by the time we departed. Any guest information we needed was no problem and taxis, flowers etc were organised within minutes. On Friday she really impressed me as I sat and watched the amount of guests she was processing through the resort single handedly like it was second nature.

Jason- Porter Staff. Jason escorted a mountain of luggage, wine, props etc from last Monday when we began to move in to the resort. He must have covered a lot of mileage up and down those corridors over the weekend escorting us and our guests luggage. Nothing was a problem and whenever he spotted us he jumped straight in to help.

Lucia - In Franchini's. Lucia looked after us for dinner on the Thursday night and again served Sarah and I on the Monday evening as it was all coming to an end. Her Professionalism and Friendly Service was exquisite and although she will agree I was probably a pain, requesting different wines, changing meals etc. it was done effortlessly. She is a credit to the restaurant and we look forward to hearing how she got on on her Portugal holiday when we return.

Khan - In the Bar. Khan explained how he was relatively new to the resort, and looked after our drinks and singlehandedly served us on the Sunday when we sat in the living room with our remaining friends and family. Nothing was an issue and he ensured all guests were topped up at all times. We never had to go looking for anything and when serving so many guests he never once had to be reminded of our drink order. He made sure Grey Goose and Hendricks were on ice at all times. I have no doubt he will go far in the resort.

Danielle - Wedding Coordinator. Danielle was a pleasure to work with. From our very first encounter 1 week after we got engaged right up to her lovely email earlier today. A true credit to the resort. We began making a wedding destination short list in April last year and Castlemartytr was only the second hotel we visited. We weren't through the front door when we knew that was it, here is where the wedding was to be. From the emails to the several trips we made throughout 2016 and earlier this year nothing was a problem and any concerns we raised were quickly sorted and put to bed. We look forward to meeting her again when we return.

Kay - Manager. Our first encounter of Kay was Friday as she was frantically running around the Caple Suite ensuring all details were covered. On the Saturday she was there from start to finish ensuring all the guests were looked after and the top table was served to perfection. On Sunday, she could not have been more supportive as we requested last minute a casual meal for 30 guests. No stone was unturned and I am sure the kitchen were cursing her and us. Mother's Day all restaurants full, Large tours checking in and still Kay had us sorted within 30 minutes. The living room a perfect venue and we were able to sit and reflect on the night before until the early hours of Monday uninterrupted. A True Professional who we will never forget.

Trevor - Manager. Trevor came to find us in the garden as we were enjoying our first glass of wine on Thursday. Never before has a hotel manager made a more special and lasting impression. He happily shared his mobile number and told us to call day or night if we had any questions, queries or just needed to talk things through. For the entire weekend he ensured everything was in order and anytime any the the wedding party past him he took a few minutes to gain feedback and ensure we were happy. Room lighting problems were sorted by him personally on Monday evening and he even found the time to join us on our last night for a cup of tea to hear any feedback we had. We will be sure to make him aware in advance the next time we visit and hopefully will be able to enjoy a drink with him again.

The above is only the tip of the iceberg and we hope we will pass on our thanks to the rest of your team. From the Spa, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Banqueting, Restaurant, Reservations etc. no body could truly have done any more for us.

The only constructive feedback I can share from the weekend, is the air conditioning in the Caple Suite should be relooked at as no matter how many times your team tried there was only two settings on or off and it was impossible to maintain one temperature. However, that fades into insignificance as for us the weekend could have not been more perfect.

The Castlemartyr Resort, has become a truly special resort for us and we look forward to returning for the many years ahead.

As we drove by the golf course, via the splendid rural setting with its beautiful shimmering lake and rustic fortress ruins we instantly fell in love with the stunning Castlemartyr. With huge luxurious rooms, a relaxing Spa and modern gym facilities we had all the amenities we could want. The Knights Bar is both regal and cosy at once and easily catered for the 160 guests at our wedding.

The personnel, including our wedding planner Jackie Day are beyond professional. We are indebted to them for all their help and assistance, weddings do not happen without the support of a talented team and the staff of castlemartyr are the best.

The day after the wedding our guests availed of a late breakfast in the specially allocated brunch room ? serving breakfast to 12:00 is god sent after an night of merriment. All in all, Castlemartyr is a must if you are considering your nuptials. A very Special thank you to Jackie Day for everything she did for us... she is just superb!

The venue itself is obviously spectacular, the grounds and views are amazing, but what made our special day so outstanding was the care and attention every member of staff showed us from the first minute to the last. Planning a wedding comes with many stresses and the job is an even bigger task when you are organising a wedding abroad. Castlemartyr Resort was our first choice of venue and from the moment we saw it, we knew it was perfect for our wedding. We had to make some last minute changes to our wedding 48 hours before the wedding. We were due to get married in a church, however, due to an injury, everything had to change at the last minute. The wedding executive, alongside her team, worked hard over the hours leading up to our wedding to make everything perfect. The staff here are professional, friendly and so helpful. They created the perfect day for us and our guests and without a doubt our wedding will be one remembered by everyone that attended for years to come.

We loved everything about our wedding weekend at Castlemartyr! The service was fantastic from start to finish. Danielle was superb as our wedding planner and all of the staff could not do enough for us and our guests on the day. The venue is so special and we were super lucky with the weather so we got the full value of the beautiful gardens during our drinks reception. We have received so many compliments from all of our guests about Castlemartyr, they all felt like they had a mini luxury holiday! Being a photographer, we are here quite often during the year and find the Hotel Staff very professional, helpful and provide an excellent service. We have also being here as guests at my cousins wedding. We enjoyed it so much that we took our families back for our daughters Confirmation. While working with The Wedding Journey Magazine, Castlemartyr was chosen for a location shoot to exhibit companies from all over Munster. Beautiful location with amazing settings for photographs.

Jackie our wedding co-ordinator is definitely the best out there. Her attention to detail, her ability to manage and co-ordinate everything is way above par. She made our experience so special. The minute we got to the hotel for the wedding she demanded we hand everything over to her and go to relax! She was so accommodating in helping us organise our wedding from abroad. She always got back to us so quickly and went above and beyond to be helpful. She is such an asset to Castlemartyr and I would recommend her 500%!

From the moment we made contact with Castlemartyr, we knew that this was a special place. We had heard many reviews from people about how amazing the grounds and hotel were, however, once we started emailing Jackie, the wedding coordinator, we realised how amazing the staff were. We live in New Zealand, so it was very important to us to be able to deal with someone both professional and understanding of our situation, being so far away from the venue and Ireland.

Jackie made the whole process so easy, sending up to date run sheets with the days activites, along with suggestions for nearby churches, accommodation, suppliers, etc. We were able to do our menu tasting about 9 months before the wedding and this plus the accommodation was amazing. We knew then for sure that we had made the right choice.

On the day of the wedding we couldn't have asked for better weather, which really made the day for us, as it meant we were able to avail of the beautiful grounds for our drinks reception and pictures. The drinks and canepes were flowing, with everyone feeling like they were being well looked after by the staff; they were really attentive with all of our guests.

Once dinner was called Terrance the reception manager took over and again looked after everything with a great air of professionalism, even staying past his shift to stay and listen to the band.

Jackie, Terance and all of the staff were just wonderful, extremely professional and so pleasent whenever we were dealing with them, even when just passing in the hall way.

Definitely a 5 star experience.

The 12th of March 2016 was the date of our magical wedding in the luxurious Castlemartyr Hotel. It was more wonderful than we could possibly imagine and attempting to put the experience in words proves a difficult task.

During October 2015 we dropped into the Castlemartyr hotel for afternoon tea. My fianc? Paul knew the hotel and all its beauty, but for me it was all new. We were fortunate to have met Rebecca and at short notice we were given a tour of the function rooms and bedrooms. The character, style history and elegance of the hotel won my heart. By the time we got to the ballroom I was completely overwhelmed and the tears began. There was no doubt in my mind we had found our venue.

We contacted Jackie Day, the hotels wedding coordinator within days, and arranged another viewing, which confirmed our feelings that this was the venue. We discussed availability and were given further information as to packages available. It was wonderful, the service was without doubt first class.

Jackie was an enormous support to us throughout the process, taking time to listen to our requests, help us in our final decision making and coordinate with our florist and others as needed.

Family, friends, Paul and I all checked in the day before the wedding. I stayed in room number two, a suite fit for royalty with walls decorated in silk. In the excitement and without a booking on Friday evening we went late to Franchini's restaurant, here we were made to feel so welcome and special with truly beautiful food. I cannot emphasise enough just how person centred the staff were, truly lovely people.

The wedding day could not have been more beautiful. The staff pulled out all the stops and the magic was felt by everyone who joined us. We were fortunate the sun was shining which allowed us wander and take photos in the magnificent vast gardens. It also facilitated time for the children to use up some of their energies.

We and our guests enjoyed the drinks reception, we were served canopies and prosecco. No surprise all were delighted.
The meal itself was flawless and the service superb. We took a moment during the meal to recognise how lucky we were to have this beautiful opportunity.
Only two weeks after the weeding I spoke with my niece, she is 13, this was her first wedding. She told me she regularly texts her cousin to talk about the day. She said that she cried on the way home after the wedding as she didn't want it to be over. She wished we could do it all again and there was no questioning her conviction but she was having her wedding here also.

On reflection, I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to enjoy without question the best day of my life in Castlemartyr hotel.

Working in hospitality, we were both very picky about what we wanted for our wedding but from the very beginning we knew that Castlemartyr was the place for us! Their attention to detail and level of service are second to none. They thought of everything and were very helpful in the run up to the wedding. On the day itself the service was excellent and felt very effortless-creating a really nice relaxing atmosphere on the day. The quality of food is excellent and I had guests tell me it was the best food they had ever had which was lovely. About 40mins before the ceremony was due to start I discovered that the hem on my dress hadn't been taken up as it was supposed to have done, resulting in my bridesmaids frantically asking reception for all the sewing kits they could give us, unbeknowst to us they called out a local seamstress to help us. That's the thing about Castlemartyr -their staff will do everything they can to make your day perfect and that's what makes them truly exceptional.

Exceptional service in beautiful surroundings. Sian, our wedding planner, was fantastic. Everything went perfectly and we immensely enjoyed our day!

Absolutely amazing amazing amazing from start to finish! Best weekend of our lives... From the service, the food the ambiance right through to the rooms everything was top class. We had a second night in the Kiltha Suite with dancing in the golf club and again everything was done to perfection. Cannot recommend Castlemartyr enough for a wedding!

I would highly recommend newly engaged couples to consider Castlemayter Resort. Once they meet Hazel (our wedding planner) and her team, look around the grounds and sample the food they will be sold. "Amazing" is an understatement to explain our day, thank you to Hazel and her team at Castlemayter.

The Castlemartyr Hotel is a 5 star hotel- and we definitely received 5 star service from Jackie and her team. Our friends and family were absolutely bowled over by the staff at the Castlemartyr- in the lead up to the wedding, during the wedding and after. Everybody was made to feel so welcome (including our younger guests- our nephew being completely fussed over by the staff and being given his very own Castlemartyr teddy bear and how helpful Jackie was with arrangements for my sister who has special needs). So many of our guests commented that it was the best hotel they had ever stayed in and they couldn't wait to go back! The extra touches and the attention to detail from Jackie and her staff were extraordinary. The food was absolutely sublime and the ballroom provides an absolutely amazing setting. For 2 people who were dreading the thought of a big celebration and were full of nerves- we both actually said we would do it all over again due to the wonderful experience we received from Jackie and the team at The Castlemartyr Hotel.
Added to this is that we feel absolutely blessed to have had Jackie Day as our wedding co-ordinator for our big day. From our first meeting in September 2014, she was so professional, approachable and warm. We knew straight away we loved the venue but she was also by far the best wedding co-ordinator we had come across. Her organisational skills are flawless; she is unbelievably efficient and her experience and dedication to her role was exemplary. Jackie has real passion for her job and is so personable with people. She went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us prepare for our wedding and make it such a special day for us and our guests. We had some quite particular requests and obviously had a lot to organise- considering we were planning our wedding from another country! Yet nothing was too big a job- even though there were weddings taking place either side of ours. She organised printed labels and envelopes for some advice slips we wanted placed on all tables; she arranged for the cutlery to be burnished especially before our wedding and new candles in the candelabras; she arranged for croissants and champagne to be delivered to one of the lodges I was staying in on the morning of the wedding; she was so accommodating with any last minute changes and requests. She honestly was more like a big sister and I honestly don't know how we would have organised everything without her.

There was two things we never got a 1year Anniversary gift to. Stay there which most other hotels offer and the Guinness was really bad

Castlemartyr Resort is a stunning resort in a beautiful part of Cork.
The staff were truly fantastic on the run of to our wedding and on the day itself.
All our guests commented on the quality of the food-it really was top quality.
You want to enjoy your wedding day and not stress about anything and the staff at Castlemartyr certainly allowed us totally relax and not worry about a thing.
I would recommend Castlemartyr to anyone getting married-you will not get better anywhere else.

Had an amazing experience in Castlemartyr. we stayed for two nights, we stayed the night after the wedding with close friends and family invited to the golf club bar for food and drinks.

The day of the wedding was amazing and we received the treatment you would expect from a five star resort.

The food was 1st class and was promptly and professionally delivered.

The staff were all very friendly and polite.

The grounds are second to none and the photos we got that day (Including some bride and groom Crockett action!!!)

I would have no problem recommending this venue to anyone it is worth every penny we spent, an we are looking forward to revisiting for our 1st anniversary :).

Jackie Day did a fantastic job helping us prepare for our special day. She really helped to add some special touches to the day. The hotel did a great job, we got engaged there too and have stayed on a number of occasions....Castlematry is perfect.

Amazing wedding venue and first class service. Jackie and the team went over and above to accommodate all our needs and I would highly recommend Castlemartyr as a wedding venue. Everything went smooth on the day even though we were an hour late to reception due to an accident on the way to the hotel. We were made to feel like the most important people for the whole weekend. We had a BBQ the next day in the golf club and once again the service and staff were first class.

Castlemartyr is my favourite hotel in Ireland and i had always dreamed of having my wedding there so felt very lucky when i was able to do so!! People still rave about our wedding, it was a really great day. A lot of our guests were travelling from overseas so We felt it was important that the venue wasn't a disappointment. The staff were amazing and so helpful with everything. They went above and beyond on the day thinking of little things that had slipped my mind. An Amazing venue with beautiful grounds and great food. A bit pricey but, I think that's to be expected with any five star hotel, and you definitely get back what you pay for.

Jackie Day was stellar. No other word to describe her. Ever professional and responsive, she covered all of the details and was able to plan everything and assist with vendors as we were planning our wedding from New York. On the day, I even received a manicure on the house in my suite when someone heard the polish was smeared. I cannot say enough about the professional staff, the gorgeous meal, and how elegant the venue was that day. Still getting compliments two years later!

I am sure you are busy with a wedding today but we just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team. You were all brilliant. We absolutely loved every minute of our day and choosing castlemartyr was definitely the best decision we made in terms of organising the wedding.

We are already excited about our return visit next year.

We will definitely be in to visit in the meantime for lunch/dinner and drinks as we cant get enough of the place.

I wanted to write and thank you for the most wonderful wedding weekend at Castlemartyr.

We had the most wonderful weekend from start to finish. I was so glad that myself and Pat managed to meet you briefly way back in December 2012, we were only engaged a few days but I knew that one of the most important things to sort out before we flew back to Australia would be our wedding venue. You put us both at ease from the very start and I knew that liaising with you from Australia wouldn't be a problem. You responded to all our mine and mum's queries very promptly leaving me in no doubt that you and the Castlemartyr staff had everything under control.

Everyone was so impressed with the venue, the service, the food and the friendliness of the staff. People commented that it really felt like a destination wedding! It was really great for so many of Mum and Dad's family to see Cork and Cork hospitality at its best. I have received so many compliments on the day and in the weeks that have followed.

I am so glad you managed to catch up with Mum last week and I'm sure Mum also gave a glowing report? our only complaint is that it was all over too quick!

Now that the dust has settled and normality returned, I would like to express my personal thanks and satisfaction with the Wedding Reception on 20th June and our two day stay in Castlemartyr.

Everything went off so well - mind you, we were doubly blessed in having such a beautiful weekend. One just has to take whatever weather comes, but having a fine sunny day does make such a difference.

Anyway, back to Castlemartyr. You could not have done more for Aoife and Brian and I know they enjoyed their day and were able to relax completely while knowing that the excellent staff were absolutely on top of everything. We all enjoyed ourselves. All in all, it certainly was a most memorable occasion for us. Thank you so much.
