Amazing wedding day! I don't even know how to start. We were lucky enough to have picked the Clayton to have our wedding at. It was honestly the best decision we have ever made. We got married on the 16th October in the middle of the pandemic. The staff at the Clayton could not have done more for us. I have to mention especially Karina Duffy!I cannot praise this lady enough She was constantly with us through this extremely tough year. Constant emails and encouraging texts through out the constant new legislation and changing restrictions. We ended up having a smaller wedding than we had planned but it was honestly the best day of our lives. I have to mention Noel as well, we had our tasting with him and again we were made feel so welcome and all our fears and questions were answered quickly and professionally. I honestly don't think these ppl get paid enough! There was also a lovely blonde lady who greeted us when we arrived and seemed to be running the show, I didn't get her name but as with all our experience of the Clayton staff we were made feel at ease and special. The Clayton constantly went above and beyond for out special day and I'm determined to tell everyone I can. Thank you so much guys. x Mr and Mrs Tighe.

I know a lot of posts are related to people postponing weddings and losing money from suppliers but I just wanted to come on and say we met with our hotel the Clayton Hotel Galway yesterday and Karina in there couldn't of done more for us or been more understanding of the whole situation and what is happening. We have cancelled our hotel reservation and not once we're we made to feel guilty for doing it only 6 weeks out or anything. I honestly couldn't fault the hotel or Karina for all they did. I'll be recommending that hotel to everyone for any event after how they handled everything.

We had our wedding in the Clayton Hotel in October 2020 in the middle of the pandemic! We also had our ceremony in the hotel. We are so glad we went ahead with our day as planned, only with much smaller numbers. We met with Karina back in February of this year and she is so lovely. She is really excellent at her job, she helped us feel at ease during the months in the run up to the wedding with all that was going on in the world. On the day of the wedding Karina and all her team really went above and beyond. Everything went like clockwork as planned. Everyone was so attentive and professional. We are so happy we had our day as planned. Both myself and my husband along with all of our guests really had the best day ever. Thanks so much to everyone in the Clayton Hotel Galway. x x

The Perfect October Wedding. Myself and my husband had our wedding reception with the Clayton Hotel Galway in October 2020. We had originally planned on having the full big Irish wedding but of course with all the restrictions we had an intimate wedding instead. We have to say, we did not feel at all deprived or like we were missing out in any way, shape or form. Karina and her team gave as much effort and attention to our small wedding of 40 guests as she did back when it was 180. We had the best weekend of our lives. The food was DIVINE! We all danced the night away and had the best craic, it was absolutely magical and so, so special. The wedding team were so accommodating and no request or question was too much for them. Any specification or request we had when it came to dancing, food, vendors, decorations, music, or anything at all was - without haste - met with enthusiasm. They even helped organise a screening of small video compilation from family members and friends who couldn't make it, completely unbeknownst to us! I just want to say that we have no regrets in sticking with our original date with reduced numbers. Our guests were absolutely delighted to have something to look forward to and really enjoyed the night out. It felt so special and intimate, and we were absolutely blown away with the entire experience. I just know that these memories will last a lifetime; and the Clayton Hotel, in no small part, played a big role in this. Their team adhered to the guidelines absolutely perfectly and we were able to have an enjoyable wedding and a great time without feeling like we were in anyway at risk. They have the balance of safety and hospitality down to a tee. Both of us would absolutely recommend the Clayton as a venue for your wedding. Their wedding coordinator Karina Duffy is a treasure and a credit to the hotel. Also, in terms of accommodation, the Presidential suite is just something you have to experience! Thank you! We had our wedding on the 19th September having previously postponed from May. I would highly recommend the Clayton, Karina and the staff. We met with Karina a few weeks before to talk about the restrictions and she put us at ease straight away. Even though it was a smaller wedding than was originally planned we had a great day and all the guests enjoyed it. The way the room was set up was perfect we didn’t feel like we had less than 50 people there. For anyone that’s having doubts or between two minds about a smaller wedding I would say go for it, it was a great day. We celebrated our wedding in March 2020 just as localized restrictions were being put in place and all the possible headaches were dealt with in an instant by the Clayton Hotel Galway, specifically their excellent wedding coordinator Karina. Up until the week to our wedding, the planning of the wedding was effortless with Karina handling everything to do with the reception that we asked. She provided timely reminders when we had to decide on certain elements and never made the experience feel overwhelming. Even with the last minute changes due to restrictions, everything was handled with ease and professionalism. We thoroughly enjoyed every element of the day and really have to thank the Clayton Hotel Galway, Karina and all the staff who made the day an absolute pleasure. Karina and all the staff really made the whole aspect of planning our big day effortless from the outset and we can't thank them enough for all they did for us. WE GOT MARRIED ON THE 14TH MARCH 2020 (RIGHT IN THE MIDST OF THE COVID PANDEMIC WHEN IT ALL BEGAN), WE WENT FROM HAVING 180 GUESTS TWO DAYS BEFORE OUR WEDDING TO 100 GUESTS WITH LESS THAN 48 HOURS TO GO DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS. WHEN THE RESTRICTIONS WERE ANNOUNCED THE PANIC AND DISMAY WE FELT WAS SO OVERWHELMING. WE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHETHER TO PROCEED WITH THE WEDDING OR CANCEL BUT THE CALMING REASSURANCE OF KARINA IN THE CLAYTON WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED! KARINA, OUR WEDDING COORDINATOR, MET WITH US ONLY A FEW HOURS AFTER THE MEASURES WERE ANNOUNCED AND HER SMILE AND WARMTH AND REASSURANCE EASED OUR ANXIETY STRAIGHT AWAY. SHE MADE US FEEL IT WASN'T ALL DOOM AND GLOOM AND OUR WEDDING CAN STILL GO AHEAD EVEN WITH LOWER NUMBERS AND THAT WE WOULD HAVE THE DAY WE ALWAYS PLANNED. EVERY MEMBER OF STAFF FROM THE RECEPTIONISTS TO THE WAITRESSES AND BAR STAFF IN THE CLAYTON HOTEL MADE US FEEL SO SPECIAL. THE CLAYTON MADE US AND OUR GUESTS FEEL SO SAFE EVEN WITH THE NEW COVID RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE AND MOST OF ALL EVERYONE WAS SMILING AND LAUGHING AND COVID19 WAS A DISTANT MEMORY (FOR THE DAY AT LEAST). THE FOOD WAS IMPECCABLE, THE SERVICE WAS INCREDIBLE, THE DÉCOR OF THE VENUE WAS AMAZING BUT WHAT MAKES THIS VENUE THE PERFECT CHOICE FOR WEDDING IS NOT JUST THE FOOD AND THE ATMOSPHERE BUT IT'S AMAZING STAFF AND HOW THEY MAKE YOUR WEDDING DAY AS THEIR NUMBER 1 PRIORITY. WE WOULDN'T CHANGE ANY ASPECT OF THE DAY EXCEPT IF WE COULD DO IT AGAIN! Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives!!! And it’s with special thanks to the staff at the Clayton Hotel, Galway and the dedication of every single detail by their wedding co-ordinator, Karina Duffy, that made our day so magical and run with out a flaw! From the moment we decided on the Clayton everything fell into place: Karina literally made the whole process so enjoyable; from advice on suppliers, decor of the room, brilliant tips and tricks for the day itself, food and wine recommendations - every single tiny detail was covered. Each and every staff member were there to help us in any way they could. No request was ever too big! We were able to utterly relax and enjoy the day knowing that everything was in safe hands. We had the joy of celebrating our wedding on 26th October 2019 in the Clayton Hotel. While the Clayton is a beautiful establishment and perfectly located, it was not either of these things that made our day so prefect. As you see, like a house that is beautifully designed and well located, it is not these things that make it a home, It is the people who live in that house that make it a home. The Clayton Hotel can to be likened to this. It was the staff that made our day, so special. We first met the staff of the Clayton the year previously at my brother’s wedding. Their effortless way of keeping the whole day running smoothly was amazing. They were so pleasant to all their guests and spend the day ensuring that not only the bride and groom had a great day, but that every guest did. This was our first time at a wedding in the Clayton and it was on this experience that we booked our wedding there within days of my brother’s wedding. Upon first meeting Karina, I knew that this lady knew her job inside and out, and most importantly for us, she was not doing a sales pitch. She got to understand what type of people we are, so she could fully understand what we wanted for our day. She really wanted to ensure we got what we wanted for our day, not what she thought we needed. Throughout the year, I called on her for advice, which was invaluable. On the day, it was her and Carmel Walsh we saw first at the hotel to greet us, and not with a wave or a hand shake, but with a genuine hug, that made me know that they were really happy for us. It was like we were the first wedding they ever had there, as their excitement and enthusiasm was evident, which is so important as they made it all about us. Both of these ladies could not do enough for us and were so mindful of us all day. The guests are still raving about the quality if the food, and the endless amounts of seconds. From start to finish, from the very first moment we contacted the Clayton Hotel regarding our wedding they really were brilliant. Myself and Gerard cannot thank ye all enough. Ye all made are wedding day perfect for us both. All the staff at the Clayton were fantastic. Karina you really were amazing, whatever we wanted you made it happen and you never said no to anything we required and for that we thank you so much. Everyone that attended has commented on how beautiful the whole lot was and raving about the food. The kids had such a ball of a time and the atmosphere was really child friendly. Excellent service by all staff

We had our wedding reception in the Clayton hotel on the 3rd of August, from our very first meeting with karina right up until our wedding day she was amazing! nothing was a problem, no matter how many times I changed my mind! Karina, Carmel and Michèal and all the staff at the Clayton are just simply top class! we couldn't of asked for a better team to look after our big day! The food was amazing, everybody was so happy about it, those who stayed love the comfort of their rooms.the service was impeccable, they have an amazing ability to create a relaxed atmosphere while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. They made us feel so special, nothing was an issue, even when our 2 year old son had enough and our babysitter needed to bring him to the room in the middle of the meal they made sure her dinner was brought up to her and that his toys got up to the room to him too. the ballroom looked amazing exactly as we wanted it! all the extra bits and pieces we had left in were put in their place by the staff, we really didnt have to worry about a thing! we can't thank everybody at the Clayton enough for making our day so special! we also had a BBQ the day after and the same level of impeccable service was carried through to this, and again the food was fab! so if you're considering the Clayton for your big day then go for it! it's an amazing hotel, with an amazing bridal suite too! We can't recommend the Clayton Galway enough for weddings. We got married there the 19th of July 2019 and they went above and beyond. Karina was exceptional to deal with thought the whole planning process. She was always quick with her responses and I asked a lot of questions! She made us feel as if it was truly our day from the very beginning. We felt at ease with her from our first meeting. Everything we asked for was done. The food and service for the dinner was excellent. We found all the staff friendly and professional. They made our day so special for us. It is the perfect place to have a wedding in Galway especially if you want to do it your way! We can't thank all the staff enough!

Recently got married at The Clayton and we're so happy we chose it as our venue. The staff were fantastic. Karina just made the whole experience stress free and so enjoyable. We had our wedding just over a week ago in the Clayton. We booked it knowing it's wonderful reputation and wedding staff. However ,we were blown away with all they did for us on the day. From the reception food/drinks, beautiful decor, friendly staff and fabulous meal, everything was just perfect. Our guests were looked after so well and the amount of compliments we got about the venue was testament to how great it was. Karina is such an asset and any bride and groom would be lucky to have her. Credit to Carmel & Noel too. To any prospective couples we would 100% recommend having your wedding here. We got married in the Clayton hotel and we are so happy with everything. The venue was beautiful and all my guests commented on how lovely the food was and how much finger food was at the reception. There was such a selection of food and loads of it. The meal was gorgeous and piping hot. The staff Karina and Carmel were so helpful on the day and before the wedding also. The bridal suite is the nicest I have seen and it was a treat to have two nights staying in this. Overall we are so happy with how our day went and delighted that we chose the Clayton for our big day.

We first met Karina in January 2017 and after having spoken to her for less than 5 minutes we knew that the Clayton was where we wanted our wedding to be. From booking that day, right up until the day we checked out after our wedding, no request was too big or too small and every single detail was catered to without any fuss. Karina, Carmel and their team looked after us and our guests on the day so well and nothing was left out. 2 months later, people are still talking about our day and how brilliant the Clayton were. Highly recommend meeting with Karina in the Clayton before you decide on your Galway wedding venue.

One of the best hotels, I would recommend everything, especially in terms of organizing wedding. One just need to choose the venue the hotel and the wedding coordinator Karina Duffy will take care of everything. She makes sure everything will go error less. It's an amazing place to stay and to celebrate any important event. My husband and me celebrated our wedding at this hotel and it was absolutely amazing. The food, the service, the wedding planner and her assistant. Our guests were so comfortable with everything and the rooms were stunning! Couldn't be better!

Would highly highly recommend The Clayton Hotel Galway. We got married here on 2 November 18 & the hotel could not have made our amazing day better. Karina their wedding planner, was just fantastic & goes out of her way to make your special day magic . We were treated like royalty on the day . Want to do it all over again !! Myself and my wife celebrated our wedding there recently. I cannot thank Karina enough and all the staff for the work they did on the day. They went over and beyond for the whole day. The attention to detail was amazing. We couldn't be anymore happy how the day went. It was the best choice to go to the Clayton. We def be back for more events.

We had our wedding at the Clayton Hotel Galway and we were very impressed with the food, accommodation and the staff. We had a large number of guests travelling from Cork and there was plenty of room for anyone who wished to stay. There was no restriction on the number of rooms that could avail of the wedding rate, in fact it was so reasonably priced, a large number of guests stayed two nights. We were very impressed with Karina's advice, knowledge and calm demeanour and we would highly recommend the Clayton.

We had our wedding a week ago in the Clayton Hotel Galway. We had an amazing day. Karina was our Wedding Coordinator and we honestly couldn't speak highly enough of her. We met Karina back in November and from then right up until our Wedding, she couldn't have done more for us. She was so professional, helpful, approachable and friendly. Nothing was hassle and anything we asked for, she made sure we got. On the day the entire staff made sure our day was amazing and everything ran smoothly. We had our wedding here at the Clayton Galway 13.10.18 and from the minute we met Karina a year prior to our big day, we knew we had made the right choice. Nothing was too much trouble, all of our ideas were supported and encouraged. Karina was professional, warm and friendly and made sure our whole vision for our day came true. All of the staff on the day went above and beyond, but huge thanks in particular to the two Noels who made sure everything went like clockwork and also made sure Every single one of our guests had a fantastic weekend from start to finish. We have received many compliments from our guests about the food, accommodation and service that they received that weekend and we wanted to make sure that they were passed on to yerselves. Simply amazing and the best place to have our wedding ! Karina and team looked after us from the first day , very organised , nothing is too much to ask ,organising our wedding from the UK was so easy with Karina and she was so helpful each time . The food service, and package was amazing everyone commented on the day how good the food was . The honeymoon suite is the best in galway .Thank you so much to all the team at the clayton hotel galway , we would highly recommend this hotel for weddings .

We cannot recommend The Clayton highly enough. We had our ceremony and reception in the hotel and we had such a fabulous day. The staff are exceptional. They were very welcoming, friendly and professional. Karina is beyond brilliant at her job. She made the whole planning process stress free and enjoyable as we knew our wedding was in very capable hands. We have no hesitation in highly recommending The Clayton in Galway as a wedding venue.

Karina and staff were extremely accomnodating and were very helpful whenever we had any questions Anything we suggested or wanted did'nt seem to be a problem. My husband and I celebrated our special day at the Clayton Hotel in Ballybrit on 14th of April, 2018. Our first meeting with hotel staff, was with Karina. We were highly impressed with the standard of service that we received from Karina throughout. She allayed any fears that we had about having to organise our wedding reception from abroad. Karina’s help and attention to detail made the process of organising the day from Scotland a lot easier than initially anticipated! Karina was always available to contact and she was willing to help in any way she could. We are thankful to the Clayton staff for making our Wedding day so memorable and relaxed for all. The day was seamless from start to finish. The food, the service and the ballroom exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were noted by us, our friends and family for their friendly, helpful and kind disposition. They went above and beyond for everyone. All of our guests, many who had travelled from other countries thoroughly enjoyed the day and thought the level of service was exceptional. We stayed at the Clayton for a few days after our wedding and the level of service was just as exceptional during these days as it was during our wedding day! You made our day one that we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives and to our friends and family that travelled from near and far, you showed the great hospitality and ‘Céad míle fáilte’ that Galway is renowned for. We had the most amazing wedding reception at the Clayton Galway on 7th April. From the first time we met with Karina we knew that this was the venue for us. Karina was so accommodating and nothing was any trouble. She helped us in so many ways to make the venue look absolutely fantastic. Our guests are still raving about the decor. John and Carmel were also brilliant on the day. The food was amazing. All came out without delay and piping hot. The arrival reception was also fantastic. TOP CLASS!! We fell in love with this hotel 5 years ago when my brother got married. There was no talk of getting engaged any time soon but we decided then and there that when the time came the Clayton Galway was the one for us. We got married Friday the 17th of November and the Clayton couldn't do enough for us. Karina you are some women, nothing was ever an issue and the day flew. You and the team were just amazing and we just can't say enough! John and David such gents and everything was accommodated. The reception staff were super stars. Everyone of our guests raved about the hotel, the rooms, the food and the staff and we're only delighted to pass on that feed back. We're sad it's over but any time we have anything on in Galway ye are our go to hotel! Wishing you continued success and hopefully see you all soon again!

My wife and I were planning our Civil Wedding for 10th Nov 2017 and thankfully chose the Clayton Hotel. We had an initial meeting with Karina Duffy explaining our needs for 30 guests. We selected our package and from that point on Karina and her team took charge. We were kept Up-to-date with everything regarding our special day and were treated as if we had 400 guests. On the day itself, the ceremony room was laid out beautifully, the food was excellent and the guest rooms especially the Presidential Suite offered to Bride & Groom was breath-taking. The Clayton Hotel staff ensured a seamless transition from beginning to end and were on hand throughout. I can't speak highly enough about Karina, her team and the hotel staff who made our special day truly special. For any couple planning a Civil Wedding, all our guests walked away with an amazing experience. I would recommend the Clayton Hotel Galway to anyone because our Wedding Day was absolutely fantastic. We would like to say a massive thanks to the Clayton Galway on helping us create the perfect wedding day. From the minute we met Karina we knew the Clayton was the place for us. Karina & Sarah were on hand for any query we had throughout our planning & always responded efficiently. From the menu tasting to table plans any little thing we thought off to add or change was no problem, Karina was there to give us honest advice on any item which was a fantastic help when we were undecided on some items. On the day of the wedding things couldn't have gone any smoother which was down to having a brilliant team in place, we would especially like to thank Karina, Carmel, John & Noel for making us feel so relaxed on the day and David for being so helpful the evening of our menu tasting. We decided to have the speeches before dinner & the service was so efficient we had our meal completed by 8.30pm, which meant we could mingle freely to chat to our guests & get the band started nice and early. The function room was decorated beautifully & Karina knew exactly what we wanted. The food was simply outstanding, top class! Our guests are still talking about how nice it was & how there was so much food, from the minute they arrived at the drinks reception till leaving the residents bar. For anyone looking for a wedding venue in Galway you will not be disappointed with the Clayton its top class venue that will meet all your needs. From start to finish the service provided by the entire team at the Clayton Hotel Galway was second to none. Karina was on hand to answer any questions, big or small, we had in the lead up to the wedding - nothing was ever too much trouble. From the moment we walked into the Clayton we knew it was the perfect location for our wedding. We loved the bright and spacious lounge for the drinks reception and the atmospheric function room. Once we had chosen our venue we then got to meet Karina & Sarah. These two ladies epitomise what is needed in a wedding co-ordinator! They were both truly amazing to work with. Karina - what can I say - we had an amazing day from start to finish but I just had that feeling since the first day that myself and Ciaran met you way back for the first time. We knew we were going to be well looked after and we knew that you genuinely wanted our day to be as good as possible just as much as we did. Karina's reputation as wedding coordinator extraordinaire preceded her and having had the pleasure of dealing with her on many occasions over the past year it's a well deserved title. From the first day we met her we knew we would be well looked after on our big day by the Clayton Hotel Galway. No request was too big or too small and every member of staff we dealt with were true professionals and a credit to the hotel. As well as Karina, in the run up to the big day so many of them helped us - Sarah who was on hand to deal with the room booking queries, Joe, Anne and Alex who looked after us for our menu tasting and Noel who so willingly took us through the ceiling light options so we could decide on our colour scheme. On the day itself we were greeted at the front door by Karina and treated like royalty and this continued until we checked out two days later. Carmel, Davy and all the banquet staff took fantastic care of us and our guests during the meal and the ballroom was set up so beautifully with such attention to detail. We can't fit in all the good we have to say about our experience with you guys. From the moment we met Karina we knew we would be having our wedding in the Clayton Hotel. We wanted to do things a little different with food and service, Karina understood our vision and said no problem when other hotels dismissed the idea. From the planning of different menus to the tastings and help from Roy the chef nothing was too much trouble, and their advice and guidance was outstanding when creating the perfect menu for us. The food and service on the day was superb and our guests are still talking about it. We also held our ceremony and first look in the hotel, Karina was amazing at finding the perfect place in the hotel for this to work and it sure did work it was just magical. We felt like we were the most important people in the hotel for the few days we were staying there. Of course, we had attended weddings in the Clayton prior to our visit so this wonderful environment came as no surprise to us. The main person in the hotel for us is the wedding co-ordinator, Karina Duffy. From the moment we met her we knew she was going to make our day so special. She was a huge support to the two of us throughout the two years and was always at the end of the phone, or answering an email, whenever we needed her, no matter what the question was! She works so hard to make your day so special and personal. She became a friend to us throughout the entire time of the wedding preparations. On our wedding day Karina and the staff of the hotel could not have done enough. They followed our requests to the last, and even added in lots of special surprise touches for us on the day, little touches that really made our day even better. So now all the hype has settled down myself and Barrie would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of the Clayton hotel Galway where we had our wedding 2 weeks ago. Everything from the bedrooms to the food to the friendly staff was just perfect. I swanned in on the Friday eve not a care in the world knowing that wedding co- ordination Karina Duffy had all in hand. All details were fine tuned and the room where we had our civil ceremony was so beautifully decorated considering I don't like flowers it was done to perfection with candles, ribbons and of course the red carpet. We were treated like royalty and we have never felt so famous as we did that weekend. All our guests were delighted with everything which was all we wanted. Thanks so so much for everything you did for our amazing wedding day - we just received our photos and it brought it all back again. The hotel was amazing on the day of the wedding. Everything looked perfect - exactly as we had imagined. Thanks so so much to you Karina for all of the added extras like putting the purple petals EVERYWHERE - the poor staff must have been dreaming about purple petals that night:)!! The location of the candy cart that was completely emptied and the amazing presentation of our meal with the cloches - everybody including ourselves were seriously impressed. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the service was spectacular. Paul and David were amazing - I felt so well looked after and really enjoyed my day as a result of their continuous support. Everyone (both Tipperary and Galway guests) felt like they were treated like royalty all day by all of the hotel staff. I was trying to think about the best way to express in words how grateful we are both to you and everyone at the Clayton for all that you did for us on the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. Everything was just perfect and there is not one thing that we would have changed about the whole day. You definitely deserve the awards that you have received for weddings. Well after hearing so much good things about the Clayton hotel in Galway we had to check it out for our wedding. From the moment we met Karina and the team we knew it was the place we wanted to hold our wedding reception. Karina is outstanding at her Job. She makes you feel like her friend. We had guests coming up to us saying how tasty and how much food they got at the champagne reception. Our meal and evening food was fabulous. I can’t compliment the waiters enough. They made sure all the guests were happy and even before the head waiter who was severing the top table left for the evening he checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed and also to let us know he was leaving for the night. This was huge compliment to me and my husband. We wish we could do the day all over again. I can definitely say it was the BEST DAY of our lives!!! Once again thank you for making our day so amazing. It can be a very daunting thought to try and plan a Wedding when you're living in another country. These thoughts were soon quashed once we sat down with Karina. Karina is a perfectionist and we felt this was wholly reflected throughout our day. She has to be one of the most conscientious, hard-working individuals ever and was always on hand to answer any questions or queries that we had. She continually went above and beyond for us to ensure our Wedding day was the most relaxing, stress-free, enjoyable day ever. We can't thank Karina enough for all she and your team did for use on the run up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. From the moment we meet with her for the first time she made us feel so special and at ease about the wedding planning process. Nothing was to much hassle!! We couldn't have asked for more. Not only did we notice how amazing all the staff in the Clayton are so did a number of our guests. People have been coming up to us telling us how much they enjoyed the wedding and how friendly and helpful all the staff where, from the reception staff to the ballroom staff. One of the reception staff even fixed my bridesmaids dress when the button popped!! The food and wine were fantastic and everyone raved about it. We had the absolute pleasure of hosting or wedding at the Clayton Hotel Galway, and I cannot thank the entire staff enough for making it such a remarkable day. Prior to the day itself, Karina Duffy was so helpful and gave us solutions to anything we thought might be a problem on the day, and sound advice on things we hadn’t even contemplated, she truly is a valuable asset to the hotel. If you are planning a wedding, save yourself the hassle of scouting other hotels prior to the Clayton as this was a huge waste of our time. The minute we walked into the Clayton we liked it and no other hotel in Galway came close to the hospitality and welcome we received, when we actually met with Karina and she gave us the full tour we were ready to sign anywhere to insure or date would be secure. Karina also introduced us to key staff members that we would be dealing with on the day, and it was nice to actually know who we would be dealing with before the big day. On the day itself the lobby and the ballroom could not be faulted it looked absolutely amazing, we had an amazing welcome from the staff and we got the party started. The staff called us in and we had an amazing meal, all of our guests were so happy and comfortable and really enjoyed the day. It truly was the little things that the staff did and for their generosity towards us on the day, and on previous visits that made us feel so special i.e. whenever we visited a cup of coffee was always handed to us and something to keep our son occupied whilst we met with Karina, and on the day we were greeted with a lovely gift from the hotel, we forgot to have someone assigned for the prayer before our meal, but again the staff had that sorted in a matter of minutes and it was beautiful. Of course to some this would all seem like little things but everything else was so perfect these were the things that stood out, they truly have an amazing team at the Clayton and they will do their utmost best to help you prepare for your fantastic day, we have beautiful photos to remind us of our special wedding day, it’s just too bad we can’t experience it all again.

After our first meeting with Karina we knew we would be looked after to the highest standard and from that day until we left the hotel as Mr & Mrs Kelly nothing had changed. Karina was always on hand to answer any questions we had throughout the planning, from accommodating any additional requests we had to making suggestions for all the decisions that went into making our day so special. Valerie never seems to stops smiling and nothing we wanted was ever a hassle for her. Cathal's easy going nature put us and our wedding party completely at ease on the big day itself and steering us through all the formalities of the day. Since the wedding we have heard nothing but positive things from our guests about the Hotel. The food and drinks on arrival was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the meal was just amazing. Everyone has complimented the service, the beauty of the hotel and the beautiful guest rooms. We cannot recommend The Clayton Hotel Galway highly enough and are just sorry we can't have the day all over again!

The service we received from Karina and The Clayton Hotel crew was first class!! Karina was so helpful and gave us some great ideas. We were made feel very welcome and given lots of time to talk through everything, all our emails were responded to promptly and in detail. The food trial was very enjoyable and the chef was lovely to chat to as was the manager who was waiting on us. The day itself was fantastic!!! All our guests were so so impressed with the hotel, the atmosphere, the food, the venue and the staff. the staff were so attentive and looked after us all so well. There was loads of food in the reception before the meal and during the meal, our guests couldn't get over it!! Also the sweet trolley was amazing! The bridal suite is fabulous and was possibly the best room we have ever stayed in. The staff were so attentive to us all throughout our 2 night stay. Our day was so memorable for so many reasons and The Clayton Hotel, Galway was one of them. Karina was a joy to work with, she was so kind, attentive, generous, friendly and had us so well looked after by everyone we couldn't have asked for more. We couldn't recommend Karina and The Clayton Hotel more, they were top class and we thoroughly enjoyed our day with them.

We knew after our first meeting that we would be having our wedding in the Clayton, and that is simply because of Karina. We couldn't have asked for anyone better.We were delighted with everything she did for us. It was fantastic to have someone so professional looking after us, you put our minds at ease and made everything easy for us. The floor Manager Cathal also did a fantastic job on the day of the wedding and was extremely pleasant and professional in any dealing we had with him.Matt, the rest of the kitchen staff and all of the bar and waiting staff too were Fantastic. The day went well and everything was perfect for us and our guests, we had no complainants from anyone. They were all very complimentary about everything especially the food.

We recently held our wedding reception at The Clayton Hotel, Galway. Karina, Cathal, Valerie and all the staff here truly did a fantastic job in hosting our wedding reception. From the second I contacted the hotel I knew we would be well looked after. Karina returned my call at 9:30 pm showing me such dedication to be returning calls that late. She was so friendly, informative and approachable and made me feel at ease and reminded me many times not to stress, that all will be right. She went above and beyond for me and anything that I requested she did her best to make it happen. She replied to emails and calls promptly and with such a friendly tone. Every detail was discussed and she remembered everything so well and was followed through. She invests so much into your wedding, she is a total gem. In the lead up to the wedding, Karina and the staff were excellent. I could call or email anytime and was put at ease with all of my requests being adhered to. Prior to the wedding on the night of the menu tasting Valerie and the waiting staff could not of being nicer. The food was delicious and afterwards the chef came to meet us and discuss any changes and offer advice to us. He was just excellent. On the day itself from start to finish, Cathal and Valerie were excellent.They are both so friendly and welcoming yet so very professional. We were made to feel so welcome along with each of our guests. I had both their mobile numbers to contact them if I needed anything and they made sure everything went perfect. Every personal detail of my wedding was carried out exactly as I had wanted. They are so attentive to every need of the bridal party and the guests. The waiting staff were fantastic and very friendly and efficient. The function room itself looked amazing along with the lobby being beautiful and made a huge impression on my guests. The food was delicious with an abundance on offer and many guests relayed this to me afterwards. The breakfasts served the next morning was also delicious, again with plenty of food on offer. The bridal suite along with the other rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Many guests praised the spacious and luxurious rooms. It is over 2 months on now and still some of my guests are talking about this hotel. It has made a huge impact with so many paying compliments. Overall I could not fault anything. We are so happy with how the day went. Anybody thinking of having their wedding reception here will not be disappointed. It is without doubt a fantastic hotel. The Clayton will always be a very special place to us and we are so very grateful.

We had our wedding in the Clayton in May 2015 and could not have been happier with the service we received. From the first moment we met Karina she put us at ease and we knew our wedding was in good hands. Nothing was too much trouble or not possible for them. Karina was truly a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Any query no matter how small she answered promptly and gave us great advice with many other aspects of the wedding. All of the other staff were also extremely helpful in particular Valerie who was another God send! When I had a little issue with the train of my dress Valerie and Karina were on hand to help out. With their help I was able to dance the night away and had a fantastic time. Having a wedding at the Clayton hotel really helps reduce the stress of wedding planning as they are so helpful in taking on tasks that other hotels would shy away from. Things like their beautiful sweet cart to helping with the table plan. The food was absolutely phenomenal. All of our guests complimented the delicious foods and how abundant it was from the lovely snacks on arrival to the generous portions during the meal. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had. If you want a beautiful hassle free wedding that has amazing food and staff then the Clayton hotel is the only place to go!!

After our very first meeting with Karina, we chose the Clayton Hotel as our wedding venue without hesitation. Karina & Valerie couldn’t have done more for us and made our planning process very easy. They were knowledgeable, accommodating, professional and always quick to respond to any query and very eager to oblige. So many or our guests have gone out of their way to express how much they were impressed by the hotel, the staff, the exceptional food, the décor and by the overall standard of the hotel. It is not often that expectations are so appreciatively exceeded. I can honestly say that I never had a moments concern from the Clayton Hotel and felt 100% comfortable and confident in them from the outset. I would highly recommend them to any couple considering this hotel as their wedding venue.

When we decided to get married we went around to a lot of hotels meeting people and were showed around rooms etc. All lovely but when we went into the Clayton and met Karina (the wedding coordinator) we just knew - I know it sounds silly but she is REALLY good at her job! She showed us around the hotel, talked us through the packages and gave us all the information we needed, what really decided it for us though was how much she focused on us as a couple and what was important to us for the most important day of our lives! With our decision made we started thinking about what we wanted and no matter what little thing we asked there was absolutely no problem - from sunflowers on the menus to the shape of the top table there was no problem in doing anything we asked. It was so comforting to be able to email Karina about the little things - she could not do enough for you and suggested so many lovely ideas that we were thrilled with! The day of wedding was perfect, the room looked amazing, our guests & families were blown away by the reception they got when they arrived, from the candy cart, to the finger food to the friendly staff there was not one thing they didn't think of! When it came to the meal - it was fabulous! Nearly a month later and our guests are still complimenting the meal, the speed at which they got it and how lovely the staff were! Praise indeed as everyone knows its hard to please everyone! The food was amazing, everything went like clockwork thanks to the organisation of Valerie & Cathal - also the speeches went without a hitch! The band have the option to set up during the day as the stage is behind the fairy light backdrop in the function room - another plus! I really cannot compliment the hotel and the wonderful staff enough - they all played a big part in what was the most important and the most wonderful day of our lives!

We would highly recommend The Clayton to any couple looking for a venue for their wedding. From the minute we stood into The Clayton Hotel we knew this was the hotel for us. We met Karina the wedding coordinator who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We knew our wedding was in safe hands, I didn't have to worry about anything as Karina & Cathal had everything under control when I rang thinking I had forgotten something! From the start to finish we couldn't have asked for anymore. The hospitality, food, accommodation etc..It exceeded our expectations. Everyone from our wedding highly complimented the hotel, staff, and especially the food which there was no shortage of. A big thank you also to Cathal who was with us throughout our wedding day to make sure there was nothing we needed. We can honestly say if we had to do it all over again, it would be the Clayton hands down.

We held our wedding reception in The Clayton Hotel in Sept 2012...From the very first day we attended the wedding fair we fell in love with the venue...When we booked our wedding we were looked after so well by all the staff and especially Cathal...We had a wonderful day, everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. To Karina, Cathal and all the Clayton Hotel staff, On behalf of myself and Noel we cannot thank you enough for all you have done for us on our special day. From our first meeting with Karina, she was fantastic. Both herself and Cathal were available any time day or night with any questions or requests we had. No job was to big or to small. All our requests were taken on board. NO was never a word that was said. No matter how crazy our demands were they listened and came up with something to suit us. Great attention to detail was seen by ourselves and also the guests throughout the whole hotel- from a personal meeting with their head chef to ensure all our concerns were heard, to Sean their local pianist playing our favourite songs, to our county colours been display on the outside of the hotel. Our guests were made feel welcome from the minute they arrived. The staff were fantastic. They went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable and also relaxing. Just one example of this would be: One of our guests was unable to sit through the whole meal as she had her newborn with her. So Cathal brought up each course as we got it to her in her room. She was also given his mobile number just in case she needed anything at all. This kind of service isn't seen anywhere else. They really are at the top of their game. The hotel, food and music was second to none. Everybody commented on the huge portions of food and the free flowing wine. It was perfect from start to finish. We would recommend any couple getting married to contact Karina. You will not be disappointed. She has great patience and enthusiasm for her job. As we said before the Clayton Hotel is great value for money with all requests taken on board. All the little touches that make the day unforgettable. My husband and I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the staff at the Clayton Hotel for helping to make our wedding last month so special. From the moment we met Karina it was as if we had known her for years. On that first day and over the months of planning in the lead-up to our big day she was always bubbly and passionate about her job and a pleasure to deal with. She was also the only wedding coordinator who asked “what do you want from your wedding?”. The hotel catered to all our requests without question, even going to the bother of hiring in an extra fairy light backdrop for the ballroom to accommodate our demands! Even at our menu tasting we felt like VIP’s with a personalised menu and a waitress assigned to us for the night. The chef was happy to take our suggestions on board, down to even removing the tomatoes from my salad and providing us with an alternative sauce for the starter. It was little things like that which made all the difference in the wedding preparations and reinforced the reason why we picked the Clayton. On the day everything was perfect, from the beautiful flower and candle arrangements lining the stairs to the elegant set up of the ballroom. We could not have asked for more. And those who stayed in the hotel only had positive things to say about the quality of the bedrooms – including ourselves – the bridal suite was fab!! The food was simply delicious, from the tasty jam scones and cookies at the welcoming reception to the dinner itself - large portions, hot and well timed, and those roasted vegetables were the best I’ve ever had! Nobody could have complained that they were hungry afterwards. While our main point of contact was Karina, we know there were so many others behind the scenes who worked to pull everything together, in particular Cathal, Valerie and Nora. Indeed all the staff looked after our guests like they were family and we were so happy with not only their warmth and enthusiasm but the professionalism shown at all times. The one comment that kept coming through from our guests was “they could not have done enough for us”. We have no hesitation in recommending the Clayton to any couple who is looking for a wedding venue. You will be hard pushed to find a team who is so willing to work with you and the hotel’s top notch service. A heartfelt thanks again.

I have a feeling I’m not alone in saying that when Michael and I first got engaged I felt totally overwhelmed at the thought of planning a wedding, I mean, where do you start? I have never done this before and there is no guide book...but then we made an appointment with Karina at the Clayton Hotel. Immediately, she put us both at ease and took away all of the stress. She really just assured and from that moment on and everything just fell into place. She gave us great advice, answered all of our many questions and was more than willing to work with our budget. There was no problem in tailoring a package to suit our needs. Karina was very quick to respond to any e-mail I sent and was always there to take my calls. She was a dream to work with and it honestly felt like I was dealing with a friend. The hotel itself is stunning, very modern and well maintained. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and our guests are still commenting on how impressed they were with the service they received on the day and throughout their whole stay. They really could not do enough for us and even made our guests feel like VIPs. We can only say good things about our whole experience from that very first meeting with Karina. On the day of our wedding we were absolutely treated like royalty. I cannot thank Karina, Valerie, Cathal, Matt or Nora enough. The attention paid to every tiny little detail was second to none. They really did cater to our every whim however big or small. We had a Civil Ceremony in the hotel and the ceremony room itself was beautifully decorated. It was so romantic with low lighting, candles, flowers, linen chair covers and even rose petals. One of our guests told me that she felt like she had travelled back in time to old Hollywood; it was so perfect that she felt like she was in a movie. It’s lovely to hear people say such wonderful things about your wedding day. Another thing people are still talking about is the food. Amazing! The canapés and afternoon tea kept out guests’ hunger at bay before the meal and there was more than enough to go around. We had a meeting with head chef, Matt a few weeks before the day to discuss our menu. I can honestly say that no one was left hungry, there was so much food and every bit of it was absolutely gorgeous. We actually go to the hotel regularly for dinner and the food quality is just as high on a Wednesday evening as it will be on your wedding day. The whole day ran so smoothly and it really was all down to the complete team at the Clayton. It is easy to see why they win so many well-deserved awards, especially Karina. I have and would definitely recommend the Clayton to anybody searching for a wedding venue. You will have an extraordinary day and memories to last a lifetime.

Both of us would like to thank everyone at the Clayton hotel for making our wedding day on 23rd August 2014. In particular, we would like to thank the wonderful Wedding & Events Executive, Karina Duffy. Before the wedding, she helped us organise our perfect reception and she was very accomodating to our wishes. As we live in the UK, she was excellent at organising everything via email, skype and telephone. On the run up to the day, Karina advised us on the last minute things and any issues that came up. On the day, the staff at the Clayton were excellent. They helped us get a last minute birthday cake for one of our guests who was allergic to eggs! Several members of staff ensured that all the stresses were taken off our hands, allowing us to enjoy the day. The reception was wonderful, the food was excellent and is something people are still commenting on. The rooms at the Clayton are wonderful, as was the service. Overall both us and our guests were blown away by the friendliness and professionalism of all of the staff. We held our wedding in The Clayton Hotel on July 5th 2014. From the moment we first went to view the Clayton as a potential venue we knew it was the right place for us. Karina and all the staff were always there to answer any questions we had and fulfill any requests that we made. Nothing was ever unachievable. Our wedding day itself in The Clayton was perfect right from the very beginning to the very end. The hotel looked fabulous; the attention to detail was second to none. Everyone is still commenting on the amazing food that was served right down from the arrival canapés to the evening buffet. The dinner itself was delicious, everything was very well presented, served efficiently and warm and there was more than plenty for everyone. The wine at the tables was also topped up very efficiently. There was also no issue with having a late bar and letting the party roll into the early hours of the next morning. We cannot recommend The Clayton highly enough to anyone who is considering holding their wedding at this fantastic hotel. You will not be sorry with your choice. We would like to say a huge thank you to Karina, Cathal and all the staff at The Clayton for all their hard work with making our day so perfect and special. We cannot commend the staff highly enough on their professionalism, friendliness and enthusiasm on the day. The Clayton Hotel Galway, what can I really say except “our big day, the Clayton way”. I have to say that the Clayton hotel was the first and last hotel we visited in our search for a venue/hotel to host our wedding reception and know now it was not only our first choice but the right choice. From our initial meeting with Karina the Wedding and Events Executive we were put at ease as we explained what we wanted and the way we wanted it. Our wedding was to be by no means conventional and had reservations as to how she and her colleagues may react however she was completely understanding and totally accommodating to all our requests. Karina’s competency coupled with her speedy replies to any questions or queries we had was a breath of fresh air. As time went on and the big day came near naturally nerves set in however we were reassured to “enjoy ourselves and they would take care of the rest” and they did, they went above and beyond in my opinion. I cannot complement the Clayton Hotel enough on the way in which everything ran so smoothly and coming from a Hotel and Catering background years ago I was taken aback at the clear lines of communication and the genuine friendliness of all the staff and the efficiency at which everyone knew what was going on and what role they had to play, something which is often a challenge in a large organisation. On 4th June we had the best day of our lives and a massive part was played by the Clayton Hotel and we were in awe of our red carpet, our champagne and piano reception and the way in which they had decorated the hotel reception for us and our guests, it was like a dream come true. When it was time for us to dine again they were most accommodating in that I had a surprise for my groom and wanted a special track to be played as we were announced and again there was no fuss and no losing it or anything like that they had it spot on and my husband was really, really impressed with this, it made my day to see him even happier than I had all day ?. The fairy light back drop, place settings and overall decoration of the room was simply only what I had dreamed of and if I had done it myself could not have been any better!. When it came to dining with our guests again they exceeded expectations as every guest commented that the food was nothing but first class and that they were anything but hungry!. Coupled with this we were impressed by the way in which it was clearly handled with two of our guests having dietary requirements. At no stage did any of the staff have to double check any aspect of our day with us, most impressive indeed. Our honeymoon suite was beautiful and it was the little finishing touches like petals on the bed and a note to wish us well that really made it a memorable experience and with a view and balcony around the hotel, it was breath-taking to wake up to the morning after not to mention our champagne breakfast!. Overall it was “our day, our way, the Clayton way” and if I had to do it all over again would not change a single thing and cannot recommend the Clayton Hotel, all the staff and especially Karina and Cathal enough for making our day an absolutely fabulous one. I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to them for all their help, consideration and hard work leading up to and on our big day. In my mind it is thee one and only venue to hold a wedding reception in Galway. A, 5 stars*****. Wishing you all health, happiness and success in the future.

We'd like to thank Karina, Cathal and all the staff of the Clayton Hotel for a truly amazing day. From the moment we met Karina, the wedding co-ordinator, we knew we were in good hands - She was available to answer all our questions and to accommodate all our requests from day one! On the day, from the moment we arrived at the hotel to when we checked out everything was perfect. The food at both the drinks reception and the meal was fantastic, the service was incredible...nothing was too much trouble! It really made a difference to know everything and everyone was being taken care of and this allowed us to really enjoy the whole experience ourselves. Our guests were equally impressed with everything, we got lots of great comments on our choice of venue :) I'd recommend the Clayton Hotel to anyone for their Wedding Day, ours was truly amazing. Wow, what can I say except all our guests were blown away by the standard in the hotel, bedrooms, the function room, the food and the level of service. We had guests from USA, UK, United Arab Emirates who were all so impressed. We were truly treated royalty by all your teams. Nothing was too much to ask. Our room was sooo fab, out of this world and loved the crystals and petals in the room. We didn't see much of it..it was 7am before I hit the bed, sign of a great night! Feedback from our guests was unreal, the food was amazing and they felt a real presence from hotel team in the room and they were always checking on the tables. My friend who herself married recently in Mayo was totally blown away and didn't realise the hotel ,in her words” was so perfect for weddings” and she would totally recommend the hotel for weddings. I do hope you get some more weddings from our day. Thanks again.

The room, food, staff etc was all fantastic and we had such an amazing day. All our guests were very impressed with the hotel and staff and they are still saying how great the hotel was. Both Luke and I want to sincerely thank the Clayton Hotel for making the 7th December such a special day for us and we cannot praise Karina Duffy our wedding co-coordinator highly enough. From the welcome on arrival, to the fabulous reception, the gorgeous meal, to the super friendly service and the amazing late night entertainment, thank you so much for making our wedding the most effortless and carefree day we could have possibly imagined. All our guests were wowed by the friendliness and courtesy of everyone who looked after us. We would also like you to extend our thanks to the entire kitchen staff for the wonderful food on the day, which people are still congratulating us on. Overall the entire staff were absolutely amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel to host our wedding. From our very first meeting, Karina put us at ease & we knew that our day would be well catered for, with no detail overlooked. That took so much pressure off us coming up to the big day. The hotel was one thing we didn’t have to stress over thanks to Karina Duffy who is in a class of her own when it comes to wedding coordinating Her communication skills are second to none and if I had any query or requests they were responded to and answered quickly and efficiently. We had our wedding on the 11th of December 2013 in the Clayton. The Clayton Hotel far exceeded our wedding expectations. Our day was simply amazing and we put that down to the professional approach of the staff at the Clayton. From original booking, all the way through to the ceremony and the reception we felt we had the benefit of a personal wedding co-coordinator as their wedding co-coordinator Karina helped us out with so much detail. They advised on the best places to get flowers, make-up, bands etc. Myself any my husband booked our wedding through Karina. We decided to have both the ceremony and reception at the hotel. Karina's insight and knowledge was amazing! She included little extras for us that we would not have thought of. We also coordinated with Matt (the head chef). Some of our guests had special dietary requirements and they were all taken care of with no fuss. I am a vegetarian and I am used of getting not so great meals at weddings. The meal Matt prepared for me was one of the best ever! All of the guests have commented to us and/or our parents on the quality of the food and service they got on the day. Cathal (manager) was also a pleasure to deal with. He made sure the day ran smoothly and that all of our guests were well taken care of. One of the children in attendance was sick. Its Mom sent me a message in the days afterwards to say she was blown away with how attentive the staff were when they knew her son was unwell and sent him up drinks / colours / books / tissues etc to the bedroom to help out. The suite we were given for the night before and the night of our wedding was simply beautiful. It has a fabulous balcony that wraps around the suite (great for photographs). It has a separate living room and bedroom which was great as we hosted a mini party for my family in the room before the ceremony. The bedroom has to be experienced to be believed! Wide screen TV in each room, fabulous shower room, double hand basins, I could go on and on! To top it all off, on the day Karina had organised a special bicycle as a prop for us for our photographs. I had mentioned it to her in passing the day before the wedding (I had spotted it outside a florists on the way to the hotel) and to my surprise when I went down to the lobby on the day of the wedding she had it in the lobby! Karina, Cathal, Matt and all the staff at the Clayton made our wedding experience very special for us. We spent a couple of months comparing venues in Co Galway and Roscommon for our wedding. We narrowed our choice down to 3 contenders based on a price point we were comfortable with and also the star rating of the hotel. We then organised to attend wedding fairs at all three hotels. On meeting Karina at the Clayton we quickly eliminated the other two as we felt her approach was so professional. She listened to our needs and adopted their offerings to meet our particular needs. On the day the hotel far exceeded our expectations. The level of detail they went to with decorating the room (it was amazing!!), the quality and quantity of flowers, the quality of service all of our guests received, the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff all made our day flow without any problems. We felt throughout that we were being listened to. We felt that it was equally as important to Karina (the wedding coordinator) as to us, that our day ran smoothly. We look forward to our next family celebration and will definitely be returning to the Clayton many times in the future! I know that some of our guests have booked mini breaks there this year as they were so impressed with the level of service.

Last minute we popped along to the Clayton Wedding Fair in October 2012, having only been engaged two weeks we certainly weren't expecting to find the perfect venue, but that's exactly what we found! We looked at many other venues but we both knew it was always going to be the Clayton from that first visit, not only because of the beautiful modern décor, the reputation for amazing food or even the 'out of this world' presidential suite, it was down to the staff themselves.. Karina was amazing in the run up to our big day and was in contact frequently regarding the menu, the banquet room décor planning etc. and we couldn't have asked for more! It's easy to see why she is a finalist in this years Wedding Co-ordinator of the year awards and it's very well deserved! On our big day we were made to feel very like royalty! Every member of staff from reception to accommodation was helpful and friendly and this made our big day even more special. All of our guests were made feel really welcome and we really appreciated that. Nothing was too much trouble. Cathal was brilliant on the day and somehow managed to personally welcome most of our guests and check in on every table during the meal. Dale was also constantly on hand throughout the day ensuring everything went to plan. The food was amazing and some of our guests are probably still full after all they were given!! From the canapés at arrival, the beautiful meal to the evening platters there was more than enough for everyone one and we have had so many people comment how much and how tasty everything was, its a credit to the chefs! When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by Karina and Cathal and we knew we had picked the ideal venue. We would recommend the Clayton to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Our day was truly magical and all the more special because of the care and attention provided by all of the staff. Karina, Cathal, Dale and all the staff, thanks again and best of luck in the finals

Hi Karina, Things are a great with us. It is so hard to believe a year has nearly gone by, but it has been such a busy time for both of us. We are both really grateful to you especially, for your patience with us and all the time you gave us in the lead up to the wedding. We really felt that anything you could do to make our day special you would go that extra mile to make it happen, it truly was a pleasure dealing with you. By the way our both the guests and I really enjoyed the sweet cart! I wanted to ask you to give a special thank you and highlight the chef for our wedding day. A number of our guests had special dietary requirements, one person in fact had very particular needs and she complimented both the staff and the chef for their kind handling of her situation and the fantastic food that was provided for her. Des and I would like to thank the staff of the Clayton Hotel for the excellent service provided to us and our guests on our Wedding Day. From our initial meeting with Cathal and Karina, everything was easy and efficient. From the beginning you both took a personal interest in helping us plan our day right down from the canapés and flowers, right through to the celebrations on the day and also the next day after the wedding itself. The attention to detail in all aspects of the day were second to none. The hotel took great time and consideration into creating the perfect menu for our guests. They took on board our ideas and helped us in every way possible. The quality of food on the Wedding Day is paramount because it is what people remember. On our wedding Day, we could not have asked for anything more. The meal was well timed, beautifully presented, warm, tasted amazing, huge portions and went down a treat with all. The food at the Clayton is excellent but we can honestly say, that it was equally good, if not better on the actual day when the kitchen was catering for bigger numbers. We had so many super comments regarding the food. You certainly pulled out all the stops and made sure all our guests were exceptionally welcomed and were individually given the best of attention. On the day itself, It was great to have you all greet us when we arrived at the hotel as you kind of settled us before we walked in through the doors to a cheer from all our guests. From the very first moment of contact with the staff at The Clayton Hotel, I knew we had made the right choice. Planning a wedding from outside your hometown is never easy, and especially so when you live on the other side of the planet in New Zealand. But I never had to worry for one second. Karina and her staff were always extremely attentive, focused on helping us to shape our dream wedding and always quick to respond to any questions or suggestions we had. From day one, they took the pressure away from us and made our perfect day come true, pulling out all the stops. The service was above and beyond, the food divine and the over all experience one neither I, my husband or guests will ever forget. I still have people telling me how amazing everything was, and I know plenty have now recommended The Clayton to their friends and family, of which I will be doing the same. We would be delighted to recommend the Clayton Hotel to any prospective bride and groom. The staff were lovely and Karina really made us feel that whatever we wanted the hotel would provide. This initial meeting with her made us feel that the Clayton was the place for us. The guests flying in from other countries and driving from other parts of the country found the hotel very easily as it was so close to the motorway exit. All our guests complimented the rooms, the beds, and the friendliness of the staff. The customer service was genuine and warm rather than the text book variety that you often find these days. And the setup with the band and dj was great as all the equipment was on site

We held our wedding at the Clayton Hotel on the 23rd March 2013. From the very beginning, all the staff of the Clayton were extremely helpful and welcoming at all times. We found that all the staff of the hotel were efficient, courteous and helpful at all times. We dealt a lot with Karina and Valerie in the run up to the wedding, along with Cathal on the day. We always felt that they had lots of time for us and were always interested and involved. The day itself ran like clockwork, from the moment we arrived. We honestly can't say enough for everyone at the hotel. Our guests were all so happy with the food, the service and their rooms. The atmosphere was fantastic, and everything ran smoothly. The meal was excellent, and I would call in to the hotel every day for another pavlova dessert if I could - gorgeous! We stayed on the next day along with a few guests, and enjoyed relaxing with our friends and family in the hotel. We were never rushed, and were truly made to feel like the centre of attention! Our room was beautiful, so relaxing and absolutely spotless. Many of our guests commented on how comfortable their rooms were. We cannot recommend the Clayton Hotel highly enough. Many thanks to all the staff who worked together to help make our day so wonderful. Having had a small family wedding in Kerry, we returned from our honeymoon three weeks later and were lucky to have the opportunity to celebrate (again) our wedding with friends at the Clayton in Galway. We can not say enough to commend their staff!! Karina & Valeries' confidence and experience ensured that we knew all angles would be covered beforehand. On the night they, and Cathal, were ever present and were able to guide us effortlessly in all events (room, food, musicians). Any minor hiccups (people showing up unexpectedly!!) were easily dealt with and didn't impact at all to our & our guests' enjoyment. The night flew and it was hard to believe we were signing out & saying goodbye to the wonderful Clayton staff at noon the next day!
