Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel

Food was fabulous and staff were excellent and lovely to work with. I would highly recommend this hotel. Golf course is a super location for photos and the ballyk unit room was beautifully designed and spacious for reception guests. Only thing I'd ask is for staff to help bridge and groom when the enter the main dining area. Thanks again to the staff ye were brilliant 👏

Shocked that guests were required to pay upfront when checking in. Bedroom was lovely and comfortable. Bar food was lovely, as was the main wedding meal. Hor dourves after the wedding ceremony were really poor. 'Hot' breakfast buffet was cold both mornings. As far as I observed the Bride and Groom were very let down on the day. Hotel refused them access to the golf course for photos despite this being a key reason for choosing the venue. Bride, Groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen got nothing to eat before the main meal. There was no obvious manager looking after the Bride and Groom on the day. Bride and Groom were never asked to cut the wedding cake and it was taken away served out after dessert. While children are welcome it is not suitable if you need the children entertained. Overall i would have my reservations in recommending this venue for a wedding.

The Staff at Ballykisteen were 2nd to none from start to finish Sadie who was Depity Manager was brilliant on the day and nothing was a problem Maria who I dealt with over email was amazing also and Carolyn front desk when I was constyon to her about rooms an absolutely brilliant team of people

Hi there, myself and Denis would like to thank ye for the most amazing day ever, everyone is talking about the food and staff still, ye couldn't have made our day more perfect. From first contact all the way through we were looked after, no request was too much and even small touches ye added were all perfect. If we could do it all over again we couldn't pick a better place.

PJ and Keava at Ballykisteen were a pleasure to work with. We had the most wonderful wedding day and everything went so smoothly. A special mention to PJ who's attention to detail throughout the day was second to none and gave us reassurance that everything was in control. The food was amazing and we still have guests telling us how much they enjoyed the meal and were very impressed by the venue. All the staff were attentive and we would definitely recommend Ballykisteen to any future Bride & Groom who are looking at Hotel venues for their wedding day.

BallyKisteen Hotel is a great Hotel to host a wedding we enjoyed our experience with them very professional staff and friendly to deal with. Any request we had was looked after and made it a very nice experience, we enjoyed our meetings with our wedding Co-ordinator Marion Moore as I was very Nervous

We were very well looked after from start to finish and all our guests commented on how great the venue was for families. The food was delicious. Everything went very well. I would highly recommend them.

From the moment we meet with them right up they gave us help and support. Anything we wanted they went out of there way. I love extras and detail and bought lots of favours and had a picture of how I wanted it to be and they went above and beyond to do it. The value for money was fantastic we wanted a small affordable wedding with 3,kids our budget was low. What we got was amazing for the price we looked at a few and for that price we would of got basic menu .

Venue was lovley very professional they were all so lovely the only problem I had was someone of the guests put drinks on our bill and would have to sign for it they never told me who done it! Also my candles went missing and they couldn't source them that broke my heart as it was the only thing I really loved and hoped to get back but never did!!???? also I got a present of a tea caddy off my maid of honor and her husband went back to beyond to get it as im a lover of tea and they decided to not give that back either they now use it for there breakfast bar as its being told to me???? im not happy atal !!!!

I cannot thank marion and staff enough for our perfect day. Marion went above and beyond for me and my husband in so many ways on many occasions. Marion ensured that I was stress free throughout the process which was a relief as I had other things to stress about but Ballykisteen wasnt one. On our wedding day everything ran flawless from our photo's to serving our food which was delicious and all our guests thought so to the evening entertainment, there wasn't a thing out of place it was PERFECT. I would highly reccommend Ballykisteen for your perfect wedding day. If I could go back and do it all again there isnt a thing I would change.

We had our wedding at the Ballykisteen hotel on the 22.10.2016 and I can honestly say it was the best day of our lives.This was down to the staff throughout the hotel.We were looked after by Helen Leddy throughout the year and no matter what I asked from her it was never too much or a hassle.The hotel on the day couldn't have looked better, the room we were in for dinner looked amazing.The food was magnificent, this is coming from a coeliac, our guests are still raving about the dinner.The bridal suite was beautiful the guests could not get over how spacious and clean their rooms were either.The service we got that day from the hotel was second to none, there isn't one complaint I could give even if I thought hard enough about it.Then we got a delicious breakfast the following morning to finish off the weekend.I especially want to mention Helen for all the work she does in the run up to your big day, she is very proffesional and is excellent at her job and to Jamie who looked after us once Helen left that evening, he is an absolute gentleman, helped us through the night even fixing my veil every time I sat down at dinner.???? I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to have a dream wedding day.Thanks to all at the Ballykisteen Hotel.x

We had our wedding here in ballykisteen it was brilliant from start to finished so friendly and professional Helen our wedding cordinator brilliant to work with and lovely person. the meal was unreal everyone was very happy . Our band southbound were brilliant everyone was dancing all night ..

We found Helen very accommodating nothing was too much hassle, the day went off without hitch, our whole experience was excellent, we were there for 3 nights and had a BBQ the following day in a private room upstairs, we had 170 guests and not one complaint from anyone, the food the service the staff were exceptional couldn't recommend the place more.

Ballykisteen were absolutely fantastic from our first meeting. Nothing was ever a problem and on the day everything went so smoothly. The staff are fantastic and nothing is a bother to them if they can help you at all. I would definately recommend this beautiful hotel to future couples.

We had our wedding at Ballykisteen and I have to say the food was the best thing of all. They had no problem catering for any requirements (which included a couple of fussy eaters). The only issue we had was with the table plan software they gave us. It dropped off people from the top table and a couple of other tables so we had the stress of people coming up to us to say they weren't on any plan. Helen advised that she was going to contact MOPOSA the week after and get back to me but I never heard back. Other than that, we loved every bit of it.

Highly recommend this hotel for any wedding, We got first class treatment from the day we booked our wedding here, 100% responsive to all calls and emails, Meal was excellent and staff were top notch on the day, couldn't do enough for us, beautiful hotel always looks pristine, lovely landscape on the golf course for picturesque wedding photos, We only have high praise for this
hotel...We return often with our kids we love it here....

Everything was excellent reallythe staff, food and ombience were top notch. The only reason I took a star off for flexibility was because we weren't allowed to do speeches during the meal. They needed to be at the start or end of the meal and second of all we were told on the run up to the wedding we could have a buggy to take photos on the golf course but on the day they wouldn't let us because of a competition which was disappointing.

I can't fault this hotel the service was excellent.. anything I wanted they did there best to accommodate me they have very good packages they contact you regularly to see how your getting on anytime iv went there luch/dinner was complimentary which I thought was very generous of them

I could not rate this hotel high enough. The impression speaks for itself, it's so modern and layout is fabulous, no divide of guests and the staff could literally not do any more to accommodate quirky, unusual or fussy requests ???? my only downfall would be the clearing of ballroom to prepare for the music, if this could be done without requesting all guests to proceed to the main bar for a short time then it would be amazing

We had a winter wedding and it was amazing,The food was fabulous and Kirsty the wedding corridinator couldn't of done enough for us. The grounds are lovely for photos and the staff are excellent, the only thing is the bridal room needs to be made a bit more luxurious but by the time we went to bed it was time to get up again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone .
