Absolutely delighted with Kilronan Castle. The staff were incredible and so helpful. Can’t wait to go back for a stay at Kilronan again. Memories for life.

We had our wedding reception in Kilronan Castle and all was perfect, couldn’t have wished for a better venue and the staff are the best and nicest I have ever seen. Irene our wedding planner couldn’t have done enough for us, nothing was a problem and we needed for nothing coming up to and the day of the wedding. The staff in the function room are a credit to the venue. I’d love to do it all again.

For anyone considering Kilronan Castle as their wedding venue, all I can say is book it!! We viewed it two and a half years ago and fell in love with it. We knew it was the one for us so we booked it there and then and cancelled all our other viewings in other venues. Over the last couple of years we have been lucky enough to stay in Kilronan Castle on numerous occasions. The staff are amazing, so professional and so welcoming. Every time we went down, we always had a fabulous time. From the reception staff, waiters, bartenders, spa and leisure staff, porters and wedding staff, you are greeted by everyone and provided with top notch service. We have to give our wedding coordinator Monica a special mention. She is literally Superwoman! From the early stages of the planning, she was unbelievably helpful. Always on hand to answer any questions we had and recommend various suppliers when we were struggling to pick one. On the morning of our wedding, our band cancelled unexpectedly and she helped to source an unbelievable replacement band. She looked after us so well and we are so grateful to her for everything. There aren’t enough words to convey how fantastic this venue is. Trust me when I say, if you book Kilronan Castle, you won’t be disappointed!

If you are on the hunt for your dream wedding venue, then Kilronan Castle is the place for you. We got married on 19th July 2024 & Kilronan Castle played an absolute blinder. We couldn't fault the castle in any way, nor can our guests... the service was second to none, everything ran so smoothly & the food was to die for. Our wedding coordinator Clare Horgan is the most loveliest lady whom we will be forever indebted to for her love, care & service throughout the entire planning & on our special day.

Kilronan Castle was our wedding venue and I couldn’t recommend it enough! From the moment we went to view the hotel for our wedding, we knew straight away this was the venue for us! Our wedding coordinator Sylvia Regan was incredible, she was the one that really sold the venue to us! She thought of everything, even things that we didn’t think of! The food and service is absolutely incredible, the staff are so professional and welcoming and always so nice and this just adds to the overall experience.
The food is absolutely beautiful in Kilronan, we have eaten here on a number of occasions and it is consistently fabulous.
The accommodation in the castle including the Bridal Suite is so beautiful.
The venue also provides a list of recommended suppliers for your wedding, none of which you will be disappointed with.

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our wedding in Kilronan castle, and hold the entire team in very high regard. Marianne was fantastic, and she provided wonderful care as we organised our wedding virtually from Australia. The day was seamless, the food was excellent and the service was above and beyond what we expected. Our family are calling it 'the wedding of the century' and we have absolutely no regrets. We can't wait to return for anniversaries and celebrations to come!

From start to finish Kilronan castle were amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was great ( everyone we’ve met after our wedding mentioned the food).
The day went so smoothly that it really took the pressure off what can be a stressful day.
The rooms were lovely, I can’t reiterate how much we enjoyed our wedding weekend at Kilronan. My advice…..if you’re going to get married get Kilronan to do it for you.

We ended up in Kilronan Castle by mistake and were hesitant as it was a distance from our church reception. Looking back now, choosing Kilronan castle was the best decision we ever made. From our very first meeting with our wedding co-ordinator to our wedding day was dream and they made everything so easy and stress free.

The wedding day itself was everything and more we could ever dream off and we really cant compliment Kilronan enough.

From attending loads of weddings in the past year, and without bias, I would recommended Kilronan castle to all our friends with no where coming a near second.

We had the most amazing wedding day in Kilronan Castle. Irene was our wedding coordinator and nothing was ever an issue. The planning was made so easy and the standard and quality of service you get in Kilronan is top class, we are yet to see better.
From start to finish our guests were so impressed with the drinks, food and service. Apart from it being a beautiful place the work that goes on behind the scenes in Kilronan thanks to their staff means any bride and groom would be 100% right to choose it as their venue.

We had the most amazing wedding at Kilronan from the beautiful location and venue, outstanding food and the most accommodating staff. It was perfect.

The team in Kilronan are second to none and every single staff member went above and beyond for us and our guests. It surpassed all our expectations and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone getting married.

Our wedding co-ordinator Clare was very professional, taking care of us from the first time we came looking at the venue, until we left the day after our wedding. The staff in the Dungeon Bar and Ballroom, led by Kirsty serving Top Table, were excellent and showcased attention to detail and caring characteristics which epitomise Kilronan Castle's credentials.

The General Manager, Andy, was excellent and very personal with us before, during and after the wedding.

Amazing venue great service and excellent food all our guests (175) were raving about how good the venue was.

Every step of the way Clare and the staff were extremely helpful. We went down the night before and had a meal for family and close friends and the service was incredible. The day of the wedding itself was perfect. The professionalism and care they show is exceptional and the feedback from our guests has only been positive. We can?t wait to go back to Kilronan again and again.

We got married in Kilronan Castle last month and cannot recommend it enough! From the minute we met Clare, we knew Kilronan was the venue for us! Clare and her team went above and beyond to make our wedding day so special! The whole hotel staff were amazing, professional and so friendly! They made us feel so relax and we had the best day! I just wish we could do it all over again!

I would genuinely recommend Kilronan Castle to any couple on the hunt for the wedding venue of their dreams. Sylvia & the wedding team were an absolute dream to deal with - friendly, helpful & ultra-organised. Nothing was an issue, everything (and there is a lot of detail) was clearly laid out for you and it was easy to keep in contact, especially in the important weeks and days before the big day. The venue is absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to have good weather in November so any photos we've seen so far are gorgeous. The castle and grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for those all-important pics. I stayed in the hotel the night before and had a lovely meal with my family. The bridal suite is pure luxury and I was so sad to leave! The morning of the wedding your are really looked after and if you wish can have a private breakfast in the adjoining breakfast room. A nice chilled atmosphere when the nerves are setting in. A little issue we had, that wasn't that major and I'm sure could be easily sorted, is that the rooms of certain guests/bridal party that we needed side by side, or nearby weren't. Perhaps more communication between the weddings team and reservations would sort that out. It was really minor however, and forgotton about straightaway. We had the ceremony in the Palm Court room of the hotel. It was so handy and looked lovely on the day. My friend happened to be my florist too, and as a wedding provider she'd have lots of dealings with hotels, behind the scenes. She always says she can tell a lot about a wedding venue from how it treats her and other services, and she spoke so highly of Kilronan Castle. I know on the day we were looked after amazingly but I needn't have worried and wasn't left wondering if our guests had the same experience. To this day, over 2 months later, friends & family are still gushing about what a fabulous place it is, how gorgeous the food was and how great the service was. Drinks, canap?s, dinner and extras all went down a treat. As I write this, my husband is saying, make sure and say how unreal the food was. It was absolutely top-notch! And if there had been any complaints, I know my parents would have reported back, so be assured the food is incredible. We partied until the wee hours and wish we could do it all over again! Money-wise having compared with a few more hotels, Kilronan is very good value. We were given a very competitive quote we felt, back in 2021. Finally, I can't praise the hotel and their staff enough, even though another wedding was on it's way in the next day, it didn't have that feel of a conveyor belt wedding, there was a genuine personal touch and we are so looking forward to visiting again and relaxing in the hotel & spa in the very near future.

The entire team in Kilronan went above and beyond not only for us as a couple but for all our guests. Everything was top notch.

Kilronan Castle was beyond amazing.
Our guests said that this wedding was the best they've ever been to and for my wife and I I would like to thank all the staff for making it the happiest day of our lives. The food was delicious, tender, and hot ! This isn't easy to achieve for 165 guests and 5 courses but Kilronan did it. The grounds and the decor of the function room were beautiful. The wedding planning was easy and made us excited and that was thanks to Sylvia who is an amazingly talented planner. The hotel really looked after my father who has mobility issues and ensuring comfort for him which I'm forever grateful. Any idea we had, Kilronan allowed us to bring it to life. The staff worked so hard all weekend for us and I couldn't think of anywhere better for someone to get married in. Thank you for everything

Kilronan Castle is an absolutely stunning venue and we couldn't have been happier with the service and professionalism we received from booking the venue until checkout. We had our wedding tasting menu a few months before the wedding and the food was just amazing. We met Sylvia, our wedding co-ordinator at the tasting and she ran through everything with us. We had a few last minute changes but it was no issue for the hotel at all. As we are not local and were getting married in the Church just 5 minutes away, we stayed the night before the wedding with our family and bridal party. I was given the bridal suite the night before the wedding and myself and all the bridesmaids got ready there on the morning of the wedding after having our breakfast in a private room which was a really nice touch.
The bridal suite was big enough to fit 8 of us in to get ready and the views out over the grounds and lake were just gorgeous. Sylvia was on hand throughout the day and was so helpful. It actually didn't matter that it was raining on the day as when we got back to the hotel after the Church, there were so many places inside the hotel to get photos taken. Our guests are still raving about the food and the venue and most of them had never been there before. There were so many little nice touches throughout the day that just made our day even more special. The service at the meal was second to none, especially the prosecco presentation. All the staff were wonderful, friendly and professional. We didn't have anything planned for the day after the wedding, it was just so nice to relax in the surroundings and avail of the leisure facilities. We were sorry to leave on the Monday, but we'll definitely be returning and hopefully we might be invited to a wedding there one day!

Our day exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Sylvia our wedding co-ordinator was a pleasure to work with in the lead up to the big day and left no page unturned. The day was magical from start to finish, from food to drinks, drinks reception to function room, to dancing into the early hours, which wouldn?t have been possible without the friendly attentive staff member that were present. All our guests have been saying what a brilliant day and night they had, which speaks volumes. We couldn?t recommend Kilronan Castle enough as a wedding venue for future couples!

Kilronan Castle was an amazing venue. From the start Monica our wedding coordinator was so helpful, constantly put any concerns we had to ease. The staff were just brilliant, so attentive and kind to us both in the lead up to the big day and over the weekend. Everything during the wedding weekdend experience was catered for. The food was exceptional and the service was next to none. The prosecco pop toast has to be experienced !! As well as the day 1, the dungeon bar was a brilliant venue for day 2 and again the staff were amazing and the food was perfect. In addition to our experience, many of our guests commented on the exceptional level of service delivered by the hotel. Overall our experience was brilliant and top quality from start to finish. We are looking forward to returning for many anniversaries in the years ahead.

We cannot thank Kilronan and Clare enough for enabling us to have such a dream wedding, our fairytale wedding. From the moment we got engaged we always knew that it was going to be Kilronan as nowhere compares. The place is magical! Clare was absolutely amazing throughout our wedding planning. Any request we had was executed to perfection. She has such a lovely laid-back nature and enjoyed the craic with us which we really appreciated. The Kilronan staff on the day blew us away and our guests are still talking about them. The professionalism was second to none. The food and service were exceptional. We always knew Kilronan was a first-class venue however it still managed to far exceed our expectations and for that we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so special.

Venue was stunning, bar and catering staff were amazing.
However there were a few issues on the day and leading up to -
1. Mix up wedding entrance song and confirming day previous
2. Never brought bags up to the rooms and had to contact 3 times on morning after even though we brought them the night before
3. Wedding favours were not brought out - even after we gave them the day before also
4. Overcharged us for guests - charged 100e per plate for children's meal and thought we would not realise.
5. Left several people off the table plan including the grooms mother who was annoyed at this
6. I the bride was questioned on check out about another person's bill
7. Wedding cake could not be found on checkout

Both my husband and I had the most wonderful wedding day at Kilronan Castle. Our guests had a blast and the one word used repeatedly to describe the day was ?relaxed?.
We had an amazing wedding coordinator Ms Sylvia Regan who took all the stress of planning a wedding from us. On the day itself we were free to enjoy ourselves as we knew our guests were well catered for and looked after. I can talk about the aesthetics but that speaks for itself but it was Kilronan personnel who made our day.

We had our wedding reception in Kilronan Castle last month. As soon as we visited the Castle. We knew this was our venue. Clare and the staff were exceptional and they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The food was excellent and everyone was commenting on how good it was. Our day was perfect and we couldn't fault anything. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Wow! What a venue, what a place! We had our special day back in February and we?ve heard nothing but great feedback from all our guests saying what a fantastic venue it was and how attentive staff were. From our point of view the day from start to finish was just run so smoothly everything was on time and the staff couldn?t do enough for us. As for Jessica our wedding coordinator she was just so lovely to deal with from the very first viewing of the venue to our checkout the next morning. She was there anytime we needed her and any way she could help in she did. Couldn?t recommend Kilronan enough-we?ll be back!

We got engaged in March 2022 and went to Kilronan a week later to have a "look around" and had booked our date for January 2023 before we left - we were that blown away with what was on offer and the friendly/relaxed/excited manner we were met with. From start to finish, over the 10 months, both Shayne and Jessica were a dream to work with. No request or query was ever too much and it was always met with a very prompt reply.
Our food tasting experience was amazing and we never thought that the standard of service and food could be that good for 280+ guests on our big day but it was that and so much more.
As for the actual day, the whole team at Kilronan were absolutely incredible from the moment we arrived to departing the following day. The waiting staff, service, food and beverages were all 10/10. Our guests have all been so complimentary about the whole day and about the warm vibe and buzz around the hotel.
We cannot wait to go back to Kilronan to celebrate each milestone (no matter how small - any excuse). Thank you so much to all the team and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

We honestly could not recommend Kilronan Castle more as a wedding venue. It was the first venue we visited and we decided there and then we had found our venue - we were so happy with everything that we cancelled every other viewing we had booked. The venue itself is stunning especially at Christmas time with all the decorations and the grounds are perfect for outdoor photographs. The staff are amazing, the wedding team in the run up to our wedding, Monica, Shayne, Rachel and Marianne were always on hand to answer any queries we had and made the whole planning experience so enjoyable. The service provided by the kitchen/bar/waiting staff on the day was also second to none and so many guests have since commented on the excellent service received as well as the beautiful meal. We were delighted with how everything went on the day and the hotel made our wedding everything we wanted and so much more.

Kilronan was the only hotel we viewed after we got engaged 3 years ago. We knew from the minute we got engaged it was always going to be Kilronan. We were due to get married in 2021 but unfortunately due to covid we decided to postpone a year. We emailed Clare our concerns and requested for change of date to the following year. Clare was amazing and really put me at ease. I knew we had made the right decision. From the initial meeting with Clare , we were so happy to have her as our wedding coordinator. Clare really is amazing at her job and was always so approachable and any queries or questions we had she was always so prompt with replies. Our wedding day was amazing from start to finish , Kilronan looked absolutely stunning with all the decorations. The food was beautiful, service, staff , EVERYTHING ! We chose Kilronan Castle for our wedding venue back in 2018, we knew from the moment we visited the beautiful castle that it was the one. We were instantly taken aback by the exceptional service and stunning setting of the castle. Our wedding was postponed three times due to the pandemic. It was an exceptionally difficult decision to make each time, although Jessica our wedding coordinator could not have been more supportive and understanding throughout. The kindness and compassion that was shown to us from Jessica throughout these four years will always stay with us. Exhausted from the wait we decided to get married while restrictions were in place, with just close family present at our local church in 2021. We had our wedding party at Kilronan Castle this December 2022. Considering we were officially married a year and a half when we finally got to celebrate with friends and family the day was somewhat unusual. Nevertheless, from start to finish, it couldn't have gone better for us. Jessica and the staff at Kilronan did an exceptional job at looking after us. The food was outstanding, our guests are still waxing lyrical about it. The table service was second-to-none. The pre-wedding dinner rehearsal was perfectly relaxed and enjoyable. The attention to detail that was shown to us from Jessica and all the team was extraordinary. We are still beaming about how it all went and it was certainly worth the wait! Thank you so much to Jessica and all the wonderful staff at Kilronan Castle. We will be sure to visit again soon and we will cherish our memories forever.

I can't recommend Kilronan Castle highly enough. We had to postpone our wedding twice due to covid and on both occasions the wedding team were most helpful. Jessica is an excellent wedding coordinator and was so supportive and responsive throughout! Our wedding day was perfect - our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was, how great the service was and the quality of the rooms. The hotel was also beautifully decorated for Christmas. We both felt so well looked after as bride and groom - I wish we could do it all over again!

We first viewed Kilronan Castle in 2020 and instantly fell in love with the beauty of the castle and the fantastic setting all around it. Monica and Marieanne could not have been better with their advice, responses and professionalism throughout our wedding planning.

The meal on the day was absolutely beautiful and the staff etiquette was first class/ we had never experienced anything like it before and every guest commented on how brilliant and friendly the servers, bar staff and other hotel staff were.
From seating planning to suit guests with mobility difficulties and dietary requirements for other guests we never had any difficulty in contacting anyone from the hotel- they were always extremely supportive and helpful!

The hotel was decorated for Christmas and it was like something out of a fairytale, it was absolutely stunning, including the function room. The bedrooms were clean, warm and comfortable- every guest was very happy with their stay.

We could not find any issues with the service we got at Kilronan from the day we first visited. Shayne Kenny dealt with monique and myself. We would highly recommend anyone thinking of getting married in Kilronan to ask for Shayne as a wedding coordinator. He went over and beyond to meet our requirements .Even when we were concerned he gave us assurance all would be ok and it was. Unfortunately due to the covid 19 pandemic we chose to postpone our wedding twice, eventually celebrating our special day in March of this year with all our family and friends (totally worth the wait!)
The wedding team in Kilronan were a dream to work with through the all changes we encountered while always offering an understanding, compassion and support when needed. The team were always at hand to try answer our many questions or even just have a chat in times of so many uncertainties. The process was made very stress free for us and we greatly appreciated it.
The kind and friendly welcome we received each time we visit Kilronan left no doubt in our minds our venue was a special one and we were always confident with our choice.
On our wedding day we felt no less than the king and queen of our castle, nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone, from the porter to the bar staff to the waiters/waitresses, the wedding team and management. Thank you all!
A very special thank you to our wedding planner Monica Feeney for her continued support over the 4 years of our engagement. Her perfection & attention to detail took all the hard work away from us. It will always be a day we will remember. We would do it all over again in a heart beat!

Planning a wedding whilst living abroad and during a pandemic was never going to be ideal, however Shayne and the Kilronan Castle Team ensured that our day exceeded our expectations!

All queries were dealt with professionally and enthusiastically; the team were always happy to take our personal preferences on board - ensuring that our Wedding Day felt tailor-made.

Having our Pre-Wedding Celebration, our Ceremony and Reception in the hotel was a fantastic call. The high standard of food and service remained consistent throughout the two days. Even now, our guests still comment on how fantastic the overall experience was.

Kilronan Castle gave us the most amazing wedding day it was faultless and I would recommend them to anybody. Great service from the staff in the lead up to our wedding and on the day. The Kilronan team made such a massive effort to make our day as comfortable as possible despite the stringent covid restrictions that were in place (max 25 people at the wedding rule applied to us).
We had the best wedding weekend in the most gorgeous setting with the Christmas lights and stunning castle surroundings.
Our wedding photos were so varied because of the different settings in Kilronan which was great.

Our whole experience from start to finish was impeccable. We had a superb time and felt like we were VIPs at the venue. It was like home from home..but with a butler and staff service :)(They couldn't do enough for us!) I would recommend Kilronan Castle for future wedding couples as it was a winter wonderland for us but its gorgeous anytime of the year. Our wedding coordinator was top notch, never left anything unturned, we both felt very relaxed on the run up as everything was under control and in very capable hands. I can't wait to go back and enjoy our 1yr anniversary in Dec!

It has been 3 weeks already since our AMAZING wedding in Kilronan Castle. When I say this place is like something out of a dream, I am not joking!! We went to view Kilronan followed by another venue and straight away we knew Kilronan was for us. We didn't want to look at anywhere else. The venue is beyond stunning and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Clare was our wedding coordinator, she is so professional and on the ball with everything. She made our wedding planning a breeze. On the day, everything went smoothly and our guests loved the food (the vol au vent & the slow braised beef especially). To anyone considering booking Kilronan, go for it! You will not be disappointed. I wish we could do it all over again! BEST DAY EVER!

We had am amazing experience with Kilronan Castle from start to finish. I organised my wedding in 8 weeks and they could not do enough to help us. We could not have organised the wedding if it was not for their great staff. Great day had by all.

From start to finish Kilronan Castle was incredible. Everything was just straight forward and easy, nothing was a problem for our wedding co-ordinator, Monica. We knew when we booked Kilronan Castle that we didn?t have to worry about the venue as they are so professional and actually care about the people who get married there. They wanted us to have the most special day possible and they did everything they could to make sure that we did. Absolutely nothing was overlooked for our wedding. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they couldn?t help enough. The food was out of this world, guests could not stop raving about it. Kilronan Castle went above and beyond for us. Apart from being an absolute stunning, fairytale setting for our wedding, the overall wedding co-ordination was top class from start to finish. They really are experts when it comes to weddings. Leading up to the wedding, they were in constant communication on the wedding day schedule and requirements, menus, tables, rooms, d?cor etc - they thought of everything. From the moment we arrived to begin our wedding weekend, every staff member greeted us and our family members by name which continued throughout the weekend. We were constantly checked to make sure we didn't need anything and each morning, they made sure myself and my new husband didn't miss breakfast which was a nice and very welcome (!) gesture. They made us and our families feel really special and looked after us and reassured us that we could leave everything in their capable hands. Nothing was ever a problem and they were always one step ahead of us, thinking of things we might need or have to do even before it happened! So many of our guests commented on the friendliness of the staff. The day itself ran like clockwork, we didn't have to worry about a single thing. I would highly recommend them for future couples - you are in safe, experienced hands and guaranteed a fairytale wedding.

Kilronan castle was the absolute dream venue, from the lake views, the grounds, to the fabulous interior throughout, they certainly did not disappoint. Our wedding Coordinator Clare, took over last year and was very helpful throughout the entire process. We found Clare extremely approachable, quick to respond and professional at all times. As the day came closer, everything was double checked and i was confident going into the day that everything would be perfect. The staff at Kilronan on our wedding day, blew us away! Kilronan Castle is an amazing venue for a wedding. On the day of our wedding Lisa and all the rest of the staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and ourselves and all our guests were looked after from the start of the day till the end. The food and the service is amazing, we could not have asked for me. Myself and my husband had our wedding reception in Kilronan Castle on May 10th 2019. Our day was just simply amazing. We could not give high enough praise for this venue. Not only is it in the most beautiful, serene and idyllic location, the grounds and castle itself are breathtaking. It is an extremely welcoming venue to anybody who walks through the doors. The level of service that we received at Kilronan was second to none. Every single member of staff, from the team at reception, to Tommy the porter, the bar staff, housekeeping and catering staff went above and beyond for us. In particular, the service at our wedding meal was like nothing I had ever seen before. The attention to detail was out of this world. Every single one of our guests remarked on how delicious and plentiful the food was. Special thanks, of course, must go to the wedding team at Kilronan. Our wedding coordinator Clare Horgan was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Throughout the entire experience we knew that we could rely on her and that she had everything under control. This took an immense amount of pressure off us as planning weddings can be stressful. Clare was always extremely calm and laid back which put us at ease. She gave us some invaluable advice and hints and tips about timings, food selection, things people notice, run of the day, etc. I cannot praise her enough. Thank you so much Clare and everybody at Kilronan for making our wedding day unique, unforgettable and perfect in every way. Wow is an understatement. Fairytale setting that has multiple awards for good reason. The setting and castle itself is breathtaking but along with clear and prompt communication in the lead up and during the wedding, delicious food served with military precision, professional staff including fantastic wedding coordinators (we were delighted to have Ciara helping us) it was the perfect venue for our wedding day.

Kilronan is an exceptional venue for weddings. The castle hotel is magnificently refurbished, so it is a stunning venue. But the real jewel in the crown is the staff; our wedding coordinator and the whole team really understood and cared for us and our guests. All our guests were raving about how great our wedding was; for us as the hosts that meant so much, and it was all thanks to our fantastic wedding coordinator and a team of dedicated professionals.

We got married in Kilronan Castle on the 1st of December 2017, the whole day was truly magical. Kilronan Castle went out of their way to make everything so special for us. We got married in Kilronan Castle last Friday, 22nd September. The service we received was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Monica Feeney was our wedding coordinator & she was absolutely brilliant. There was no request too big & she ensured everything ran smoothly on the day. In the lead up she was always on hand to help us all she could. We had a few additional requests for the day & there was never an issue. All the staff were just so professional, helpful & attentive. Monica made the day so easy & stress free. She was brilliant to have around. I would recommend Kilronan Castle to anyone. Our guests are still talking about it, not one bad word has been said. Everyone was so impressed with the venue & the service. I would recommend Monica as well as she gave us the 5 star service & was a pleasure to work with & have around on the day.

We had our wedding in Kilronan Castle last July. We had a terrific experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew this venue was special. We were met by Simon who was very helpful and assured us throughout the whole process not to worry, that everything would be perfect and indeed it was. It was everything we hoped for and more. Simon was very efficient with replies to our emails and dealt with every request. No job was too big. The whole weekend from start to finish was great. The professionalism and friendliness of the Kilronan staff was remarked upon by many of our guests. They went out of their way to make our families and guests feel very welcome. Things ran according to schedule as we had requested. The food was fabulous, both the wedding food and the super buffet for breakfast the next morning. The views and scenery from the Dungeon Bar are spectacular and it was an ideal location for the drinks and welcome reception. Overall, I cannot recommend Kilronan highly enough. Anybody who has their wedding there is in for a treat. Am really looking forward to returning for a visit soon.

We had a fantastic wedding on the day and it would be very hard to find fault with anything or any of the staff as they are all so helpful.

We had a lot of questions for our wedding coordinator Ciara in the build up to the wedding but as you can appreciate the wedding coordinators are all inundated with queries but you just need to be patient as they do come back to you as soon as they can.

All our friends and family were really impressed with the Venue and the staff.

We would definitely recommend Kilronan Castle Estate and Spa to anyone considering having their wedding there.

We cannot say enough about Kilronan. Brilliant from the first time we called down to the day after the wedding. Ciara Maxwell was our Co-ordinator and she is absolutely top class. Nothing was too much trouble and all our questions were answered. We couldn't say enough good things about all the staff, the food & the service.

We got married in Kilronan in October and wer dealing with Ciara Maxwell who was our wedding coordinator. We are living in the UK which meant we could not call up to Kilronan on a regular basis in the lead up to our wedding. Ciara was extremly helpful in that sense and gave us names and suppliers for everything we were looking for both for the reception and the Church. The menu tasting was amazing and the service was exceptional. The service and staff on our wedding day were so friendly and helpfull and their attention to detail was unbelieveable. From the minute we entered to door everything was perfect. I woul strongly recommend Kilrona Castle and Ciara Maxwell for any future couples. It may not be the cheapest venue but it is definatly one of the best and you cannot put a price on the service provided.

We had a really enjoyable day, all the staff were extremely helpful and polite towards all our guests and really tried to help in any way possible. The venue is stunning for photographs even though it was raining we had loads of places to take photos indoors. The only disappointment was we were charged for one of our bridesmaids rooms even though we explained that they could not stay as their two week old baby was ill and the girl in reception said she would speak to the manager and get back to us but we never heard anything more from them.

I Just can't rave about Kilronan Castle enough. Everything about this venue was just perfection for us. We got married at Keadue chapel which is just less than 2 miles away and then came back to kilronan for the reception. Simon, our wedding Coordinator was amazing, nothin was ever too much trouble for him and he accommodated us in every way possible. Our food at our reception was just first class as well as the service. All our wedding guests just loved the venue! The staff here are just so friendly and welcoming. To us Kilronan is like a home from home. Xx

Ciara was absolutley amazing! I dropped off everything the evening before in boxes and they were exactly where they were meant to be on the day. Everything was so easy with Kilronan Castle and its really got the wow factor for guests. I really cannot compliment Ciara enough. She was absolutley fantastic. The service provided to us by Simon and Kilronan was perfect considering we were planning all from Australia!
The only issue was from the guests who mentioned the price of drink at the bar was excessive which was disappointing to hear.

We had our wedding at Kilronan Castle on 27th February and we cannot compliment it enough. As a wedding venue it is absolutely fabulous; the surroundings, the candle lit corridor down to the ballroom, the dungeon bar, the rooms and the service was absolutely outstanding. We would like to say a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our wedding coordinator, Sam. From start to finish she was fantastic, she made the whole process stress free and fun. Living in the UK, it can be difficult to organise a wedding however Sam made it feel like a breeze, always accommodating us when we were home in Ireland. Nothing was ever too much to ask her and she always made us feel at ease and most importantly ensured that it was our day and that everything was the way we wanted it and not the way the venue wanted it. We would also like to say thank you to all of the staff at the Castle as everyone was so friendly and helpful to us and our guests. We felt so important for the whole weekend, they truly couldn?t do enough for us. Of course one of the most important aspects of a wedding venue is the food and the feedback we received on both the food and service during the reception was truly amazing. The whole day went perfectly and I have no doubt it was down to their professionalism. If you are in any doubt about Kilronan Castle as a venue, don?t be, it was outstanding.

Service was outstanding. Attention to detail. Samantha our Wesding Coordinator was an excellent help to us.
The Balroom Manager ensured everything was on track and the food was outstanding. We got so many compliments about the quality of food. We had champagne in our package and the way it was served to our guests created great drama and added to the atmosphere.
The ballroom staff were so helpful, we had Ann looking after us. She made sure we were happy with everything. Cannot fault anything about our day.

Hotel super helpful very easy to get in contact with and you get such a personal service from all the staff especially your wedding planner.

Our wedding planner was Monica Feeney - she was so fantastic with us both - she read us both very well and what was important to us for our big day. The hotel were very accommodating to our needs - and we were blown away on the day - everything was flawless - would love to do it all again in Kilronan . Loved the structured approach we had to the day but it all flowed do well.

Great experience all around. Samantha and the team worked hard behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly, easily and seamlessly. We loved the little details - Kilronan went the extra mile, and the venue is obviously beautiful and convenient with the dungeon bar offering lots of room and seating, and then the ball room being large, beautiful and separate, so you don't disturb any hotel guests. Everything was perfect for us, we had a day we'll cherish forever. But note to those planning their wedding - we did put a lot of planning in ourselves and this paid off. Myself and my husband,David would like to thank Kilronan Castle for giving us the most memorable day of our lives on 17th October when we got married there.We got engaged on 31st October and got straight into our wedding planning in November.We viewed a few wedding venues and had liked them and were considering them as possible venues for our wedding.However,something different happened once we drove up the long tree lined avenue with Kilronan Castle sitting high up on the hill,overlooking Lough Meelagh and we went inside the castle.We both knew in our hearts that Kilronan Castle just had something special to offer us that the other venues didn't.

Not trying to push my preference for Kilronan Castle on David, I said to him,'So,what do you think of here as a venue for our wedding?'.I absolutely loved it and was hoping that David did too but if he didn't,I knew that we would have to look at other venues as it was important to us to have a venue that we both loved.I was ecstatic when David replied 'I love it...I think this would be a lovely place for us to have our wedding reception.What do you think of it?'We both fell in love with it immediately.We hoped our wedding co-ordinator would be nice and helpful and that we would like the package that it offered to couples getting married there.

Our wedding co-ordinator was Monica Feeney.She gave us a big welcome and made us feel very at ease with her from the very beginning.She offered us tea and biscuits which was much appreciated after our long journey down from Dublin.Throughout the initial consultation, Monica was very informative about the wedding packages that Kilronan Castle offer.She was cheerful and we even shared some funny stories about ourselves.This,we both felt we could do with Monica because we relaxed so much in her company and didn't feel rushed with her.She gave us all the time we needed as she knew we were excited about planning our wedding but had so many questions.Monica listened attentively to each of our questions about the hotel and the packages and answered each in turn.We both felt that Kilronan Castle would go out of it's way to make our wedding day the most special and memorable day of our lives.I felt so excited at all that Kilronan Castle offers to the wedding couple and their guests. When Monica left us to get extra information for us,with excitement in our eyes and big smiles, we both glanced at each other and I said, 'Wow,this place is just amazing and Monica is really lovely!We both felt an instant connection with Monica,one that we hadn't felt with the other wedding co-ordinators that we had met before her.We knew that we just 'clicked' with her.She was so easy to talk to and not feel afraid to ask questions.We knew she was very informed about her job and the hotel and what it offers couple planning a wedding.We were then eager to secure Kilronan Castle for our wedding especially now as we knew the wedding co-ordinator was so friendly and approachable.When Monica returned to us, we told her that we were definitely interested in having our wedding reception there.She was very surprised at our quick decision but we knew nowhere else compared to Kilronan castle and Monica.We knew our search was over! We looked at dates available and were delighted to see that the 17th October 2015 was free.We left Monica and Kilronan Castle feeling so excited and happy that we found our fairytale location for our wedding and we looked forward to planning it all with Monica.

Over the year,we met Monica on various dates to discuss the wedding and to pay installments.On each occasion, Monica welcomed us with a big hug and smile, which was always a great start!She always made sure that we were looked after well by the waiting staff of Kilronan Castle.Monica is a true professional who knows a lot about her job and always deals with her couples in a friendly and relaxed manner.She was always accomodating with any requests that we had.This made our whole experience of planning our wedding hassle free and stress free.Monica was always available to answer calls or answer queries by email promptly.This reduced any stress as well.

The week of the wedding finally arrived! We were both excited rather than nervous about our big day as we knew our wedding was in good hands with Monica.We met Monica the day before and went through all the final details.Myself and David could not wait for the day to come and could sense from Monica that she was excited too and was looking forward to helping us on the day and making sure everything went to plan.We both that it was a very special touch when we both received a call from Monica on the morning of the wedding to wish us good luck from herself and all the staff from Kilronan Castle.She said that she was looking forward to seeing us after the wedding ceremony.

When we arrived at the castle,it was great to see Monica there with her customary warm smile and welcome.She offered us our glasses of champagne.Throughout the whole day, she was there to make sure that everything was going to plan and to assure us that she was there if we needed her for anything.That gave us peace of mind.We completely relaxed knowing that we had Monica around us.Monica made sure that our guests were enjoying themselves.She made sure that myself and David and the whole bridal party got enough food after our photographs in the beautiful surroundings of the castle.It was very exciting lining up in the long,candlelit corridor that led to the exquisite ballroom where all our guests were seated and waiting for us.It was reassuring to hear the familiar voice of Monica introduce us all one by one.Myself and David smiled with delight when she introduced my nieces and David's cousins as 'the cutest flowergirls and the most handsome pageboys that she has ever seen!'This brough huge smiles to our two little flowergirls and pageboys.They had felt like princes and princesses for the day and that was just the 'topping on the cake' for them! We heard Monica ask the guests to be upstanding to welcome the bride and groom and 'to give a big welcome to the new Mr and Mrs Meates'.The big doors opened and we both were smiling from cheek to cheek.It had been an amazing day up to that and it was just continuing that way.We couldn't believe that everything had been just perfect the whole day long!

The meal was fantastic.Myself and David could not believe that we actually ate all our dinner as we had heard from other married couples that 'you won't eat much of your meal as you will be nervous and just not hungry'.Each course was delicious and we were going to enjoy it as much as we did at our menu tasting in June.The waiting staff at our wedding were amazing and faultless.At the top table,we each had a waiter/waitress and on a signal,they lifted the galoshes simultaneously to uncover our very well presented meal.This was a great bit of extra attention for us all on the top table but it was also a great show for our guests.During the meal,music started to play and we weren't sure what was going to happen next.To our utmost surprise and everyone else in the ballroom, the waiting staff filed out to each table and suddenly, flames of fire shot up from five tables to the side of the room.At that, the champagne bottles that each of the waiting staff were holding popped! This was so impressive for us and for each of our guests there! We couldn't stop smiling at each other. This day was getting better and better and was just so unbelievable to think that it was our wedding day!Champagne was then poured for each table.It was a lovely surprise for us as we knew about everything else as we had planned them with Monica.Our guests are still talking about the champagne popping and about the best food they had at a wedding.Our guests have nothing but fantastic comments to say about the staff - how friendly they all were and that nothing was a problem for them.Monica came to us at the top table and assured us that she was there if we needed her for anything.This helped us relax more and meant we could just mix with our guests for the night and dance the night away with ease.

We cannot recommend Kilronan Castle highly enough as a wedding venue.If you want a top class venue and one that your guests will be raving about for months after your wedding, then look no further than Kilronan. We were definitely glad we made our quick but correct decision to make Kilronan Castle our wedding venue when we met Monica back in November last year.From start to finish, it was an amazing experience planning our weddingand then,having the best day of our lives there! It is a place that we now hold dear in our hearts (almost like our second home now!!) and will definitely be back to relive our memories over and over again.While the venue is spectacular in every way,we feel that the whole experience was made so pleasurable and hassle free as a result of having such a professional, friendly and courteous wedding co-ordinator. Monica Feeney is a top class wedding co-ordinator and an asset to Kilronan Castle. Any couple wishing to have their wedding reception in beautiful Kilronan Castle will be very lucky if they have Monica to help them on their exciting journey of planning their wedding there and to be with them on the big day itself!

We were delighted with our wedding in Kilronan Castle. The venue and setting is fantastic. We dealt with Monica from the start and she couldn't have been more helpful and professional, we had no worries on the day with Monica in charge. We had so many comments from guests about the fabulous food and superb service on the day. Our wedding was a magical day in a beautiful castle and we would highly recommend Kilronan.

Most amazing venue ever!!!!!!!! The wedding co ordinator Sam was amazing!the staff were so polite professional and could not do enough for us and our guests! I over heard people talking about our wedding having the "wow" factor and I'm so happy that I know they loved it and will always refere my wedding to have been fantastic!!! Attention to detail and little gestures blew us away!!!!I always have something to say but I feel kilronan left us speechless!!!!I'd recommend kilronan to anyone who wants the wow factor!!

It was an amazing day . Simon the wedding coordinator could not have been more helpful . The food , staff , bedroom ,location were all second to none . We could not recommend it more .

From the first day we went to look at Kilronan Castle as a possible wedding venue till the day we went home after our wedding every single aspect of the service we received was outstanding. The staff were superb, every single person we encountered was so professional, so helpful and so welcoming. All of our guests commented on this also - especially impressed by the service they were given during the dinner the night of the wedding.

In terms of the venue itself we loved it so much as it catered perfectly for what we wanted. The banquet room itself is beautiful and spacious, with a large bar and toilets in the room, and just a small smoking area just outside meaning not too many people hung outside for too long! The drinks reception in the dungeon / out on the lawn was the perfect setting and the hotel having 80+ rooms and houses as well to rent meant a large amount of our guests could stay over at the venue. We also booked to have a bbq the second night in the dungeon with live music, the food was exceptional. Kilronan provided the live music and we paid then for a dj, which worked out great for another late night! The exceptional service we had been getting was just as good again on this night.

There is no points that i could offer brides and grooms considering Kilronan, as everything was flawless, they deliver in every way. They literally cover everything and give you great piece of mind in the run up to the wedding as well as on the day. They understood fully what we wanted and anything we asked for they did. The wedding co-ordinators were fantastic too, they were always so on top of everything and very responsive. We had worked with Olivia and then Samantha both of whom were outstanding.

We also used a number of local suppliers that Kilronan had recommended such as cannaboe confectionary, la belle fleur, Ivan Keaney photography and we married in the local church in keadue with the parish priest Fr Faughnan marrying us, who we found lovely and so helpful to us as we prepared for our marriage.
I would highly recommend Kilronan Castle as its not just a spectacular venue, the staff, service, food and facilities are all superb.

We had a really positive experience with Sam & Monica in Kilronan from start to finish. I found them both really professional but in a very friendly & approachable way. We organised the wedding from outside of Ireland so there were different time zones and lots of email conversations to contend with but this was never an issue. They were very responsive always & no issue was too big or small. Very impressed all round & it made for a very special and memorable day for us, our families and all our guests. Kilronan has the 'wow factor' that's for sure!

Kilronan Castle was absolutely outstanding. The food, the service, their professionalism and their way of making you feel very special on your wedding day is something i will never forget. Amazing service and venue. Samantha was like having our own private wedding planner. Super organised, professional and helpful even with the smallest of tasks. Everyone loved the meal and it was executed with extreme precision. It was impressive to witness.

Sam was absolutely fantastic, from start to finish. In fact, the whole team at Kilronan are fantastic. Every detail was decided on and every need met, my family and friends are still talking about the superb service they received on the day.
However, the help I received was unforgettable. In the 5 days leading up to our wedding, our little girl was sick in hospital. She got out less than 48 hours before we got married. When we finally arrived, I had forgotten the sweets and the jars for the pick and mix table and there were a number of other last minute details that I just hadn't had time to do. Sam, Sinead and the whole team took it all off my hands and organised everything even letting my family and friends have the drawing room for pre wedding dinner and drinks - something that is not normally allowed.
It is not only the professionalism that made our day and whole experience wonderful, it was the kindness each and every one of the staff showed us.
We can't thank them enough and will be back next May to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.

We sincerely hope they win as they thoroughly deserve it.

We had our wedding on Easter Monday in Kilronan Castle. From start to finish we could not praise our wedding coordinator Monica Feeney highly enough. Monica is a true professional, very helpful, full of fantastic tips & advice. She took all the stress out of the wedding prep, she is very confident and relaxed and this rubbed off on us! She clearly loves her job, is very passionate & enthusiastic and nothing was a problem for her.
On the day the hotel like looked fabulous, the sun was shining, we had our drinks reception outside looking at the lake. It felt like being at a garden party. The food was excellent, from the canap?s to the fillet of beef, truly top class and we received endless compliments on the day. The kitchen staff & waiting staff should be comended. Every table was treated with the same importance as the top table. We could not fault one aspect of our wedding day. Kilronan is a fantastic venue.

We were so delighted with our wedding in Kilronan Castle. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. The food was fantastic and we could not recommend this venue highly enough to any newly engaged couples.

We cannot commend the venue and its staff enough. From the planning stage right through to the day and afterwards we and our guests had wonderful service and an amazing experience.
The staff came into their own on the day and we are very appreciative of all that they did. We had a medical emergency on the day, which the venue excelled itself handling, We also needed to return for an additional photo shoot and again we had a great experience.

The most amazing place to have your wedding reception and even better if you get a wedding planner called Monica she is brilliant at her job and so down to earth. Food service room's views staff everything top class so wish I could do it all again.

Amazing venue and all the staff were so helpful throughout our whole planning stage and actual wedding weekend. We had Monica as our wedding planner and she was so helpful. Nothing was a problem. She couldn't have done more for us both on our big day and she was so accommodating to any request that we had. I would highly recommend Monica and Kilronan Castle. It is a beautiful hotel and so special to us both now from all the happy memories that we have had in Kilronan Castle.

I found all of the staff very helpful. We stayed the night before and after the wedding and from start to finish we were treated like royalty! Anything I needed or needed help with in the run up to the wedding, the staff were always on hand. The service was top quality. The guests all commented on how good the food was. The feedback we had from our guests was brilliant?? we had comments such as best wedding ever, bar none: the wedding of the decade, the best food they had at a wedding, the best steak they have ever had, the best service they have ever seen at a wedding, the location is amazing, the rooms are amazing ??. the list goes on??



My maid of honour did say it didn?t matter if I hadn't done anything myself for the wedding (such as the confetti, favours, flowers, chair covers), the venue & service were enough to make the day fabulous (I don?t know whether I am offended or delighted with that comment!)



I want to mention especially, the cake table you arranged with the Xmas tree, the presents & the crackers to match our Xmas present shaped wedding cake ?. It was really eye catching & we had many compliments about it??. & it meant a lot to me personally as it was where my parents' photos were placed & even though they are no longer with us, it made me feel like they were a part of our special day.



Please pass our thanks on to your colleagues who were also involved. I think it was Krishna who was in charge of the kitchen staff on the day & people are still talking about the music & the coordinated popping of the champagne corks & the seamless service whereby he just discretely nodded his head & all the plates were laid at the same time. It is the little things like this that made the day extra special.



Even though there were a number of weddings going on over the days we were there, you all made it feel like we were the only ones.



I remember saying to you as we sat down for dinner " Sam, what about the music while we eat" as you were just turning it on & "Remember the different wine for my friend Saoirse" which you had already arranged to be brought to her table, it seemed whenever I thought of anything you were one step ahead.

I never heard how you got on being nominated for wedding planner of the year but in our eyes you are definitely the winner.

All in all our day & the whole weekend was just perfect so thanks again??..

I want to start off by saying Kilronan Castle is a fantastic wedding
venue & you have some treasures working there who really make the
experience!! You can buy new furnishings but good people are hard to find! Alot of our guests were treated to their personal messages on their
plates for desserts and are still talking about it. I'm sure that was
a time consuming and troublesome task for the dessert chef but they
all looked fantastic! The food was delish! Niall
and Lawrence made sure that each time they saw us they greeted us with
a smile. Nicole & Diana on reception were always polite & friendly
when we phoned up with requests.
