Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone

We're so happy we chose the Radisson Blu Athlone as our wedding venue. It was so lovley to have the River Shannon, Athlone Castle & The Cathedral as the backdrop to our wedding day. The wedding Co-Ordinator Claire was nothing less than helpful and was very accommodating to meet with us at such a busy time. No job was too big! The food was absolutely amazing! We had people telling us weeks after the wedding how delicious the food was so hats off to the chef!! The hotel was very clean, warm and had plenty of staff working nobody was waiting at the bar for too long and nobody had to wait too long for their dinner! I definitely wouldn't change our venue if we were to do it all again!

We found all staff members to be happy to help nothing was to big for them. Always smiling and great service. The wedding planner Claire was a great help to us she couldn?t have tried harder to help us on the lead up to our day. The big day went off without a hitch. The food was amazing and you got plenty no one went home hungry. We?d give it a 10/10

Claire the wedding co ordinator couldn't be of more help. Nothing was too much. Any questions we had she was more than happy to answer. On the day itself all the staff had the hotel set up absolutely fabulous and worked out a great day all round. Kieran the manager was on the evening shift from food to during the night and again so lovely to deal with and plenty of lovely compliments on the food aswell.

1000% recommend weddings in the Radisson all the team do their very best to help with your planning and are on hand on your day incase you have any worries.

Where do I start..
Claire our wedding organiser couldn't have done more for us. Anything we requested wasn't an issue and we had everything we wanted for our big day. She was super helping us out and would always contact us if we had any questions.
The food on the day was excellent. We did the food tasting and I have to say they nailed it on the day of our wedding. Well done to Caslin and Jack. Everyone and I mean everyone said it was amazing.
Chris who looked after us in function room was excellent also. Took any bit of pressure off us and made the evening so relaxing for us and all our guests.
Finally to the floor and bar staff. They couldn't go wrong if they tried. They were very professional and had the craic with our guests which really makes the night too.
The hotel itself was perfect. Everything was on the same floor, bar, ballroom, reception and their beautiful out door seated area.
Finally the night security guard (can't remember his name) was always on the ball. Better again he mingled with our guests and made them all feel at ease.
If I was asked would I do it all again and go to the same hotel.. I wouldn't hesitate for a second in saying yes.
Myself and Marlena had the best day and was all thanks to everyone in the hotel that day. I mean everyone. Not one complaint and we are still getting loads of great feed back from our guests on the day.

We had our Wedding in the Radisson Athlone in May we went to there wedding show the year before and were very impressed by what they had to offer. On the lead up to the wedding Claire was ther to do everything for us any little thing we asked was done. On the day of the wedding everything went amazing thanks to the staff at the hotel who went above and beyond to make our special day amazing. The food for dinner was out of this world everyone loved it. We are delighted we chose this as our venue amd thank you to the staff of the hotel for making our day so special.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Radisson Blu Athlone recently, perfect spot for Hen and Stag weekend right in the centre of Athlone town. Very attentive staff, food absolutely amazing, beautiful backdrop on the Shannon River if you want to wow your guests at your wedding!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Radisson Blu Athlone this November. Our wedding coordinator, Claire, was fantastic with helping us plan our big day. She was a dream to work with from start to finish. The hotel staff were professional and unbelievably accommodating on the day. The ceremony and reception room was laid out so beautifully and elegantly. The food was amazing. We had our day two at the hotel. Again, the staff were wonderful and the food was great. We enjoyed our celebrations from planning, right up to the main event. We would highly recommend the Radisson Blu Athlone for a wedding, outstanding venue.

Honestly it's hard to put into words how amazing this venue was. It was the very first venue we viewed and I knew the second we walked in it was it. Our first co-ord helped us with all our initial questions and was prompt on replying to all questions and setting us on our countdown journey. Claire started and with only a few months to go stepped up in realising our dream day. We wanted a relaxed day, sipping cocktails on the deck and enjoying food, well that's exactly what we got. From the moment we walked in it was perfect, the ceremony setting exactly how I imaging it.
The reception was exactly the same the fairy tale dream. The food was absolutly perfect and honestly still spoken about when reminiscing. Every single server, manager all staff were so helpful in making sure everything was done right and that everything was the way we wanted. If I could do it over there isn't anything I would change,
I would highly reccomend the Radisson athlone as a wedding venue.

Claire was so supportive in the lead up to the wedding and coordinated every detail so well that the entire day ran so smoothly from start to finish.

The meal was also delicious, and was made even better with incredible service throughout - all our guests said how impressed they were.
Your whole team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and treated us so well from our very first visit.
We even lost something sentimental on the day and the team managed to locate it and get it back into our hands safe and sound.
It?s clear that the staff at the Radisson really care for and love what they do.

This is an amazing place for a Wedding. We can highly recommend the hotel. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside tarrace area and nice view, very clean, plenty of very delicious and outstanding food great service . It was our dream venue and we had a wonderful time. The wedding venue manager Claire , is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through and was pleasure to work with very quick to respond.The price is very affordable, but the location and view seems like it should be worth a lot more.The hotel and stuff there were out of their way to meet our needs,and they are on top of everything.Just wonderful in every way. The photo opportunities are plentiful to get amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds. All and all, my husband and I were very happy with this venue and we recommend it to all of our engaged friends. We couldn?t be happier with how everything went. All our expectations were met also our guests had great time.

Everything was amazing. Aishling was unbelievable, nothing was an issue for her. I forgot flowers for our ceremony table and it was taken care if in minutes! Food was amazing, everyone is still talking about how good it was! The only thing we missed was the late nite nibbles which never arrived but that was it! I could not recommend this hotel more!!!!

From the moment we met Aishling she made us feel very welcome and confident that our wedding was in good hands.

Any requests we had was done.

Great venue, food and management

This hotel pulled out all the stops for us , our arrival was by boat complements of the hotel, room for myself the night before so I could leave from the hotel, all members of staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for us , highly recommended any couple getting married to view this hotel

The best day of our lives the boat journey across the Shannon was fab staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Food was fantastic everyone loved it couldn't of been better definitely recommend

All our guests raved about the hotel and the staff all weekend, we received nothing but compliments.

We had our wedding on the 28th of august 2015 in the Radisson blu athlone and I can say that everything was perfect down to the tiny details. The hotel its self is in a perfect location and the views of the Shannon from the Marina Suite are fantastic the comfort we had that knowing we didn?t have to worry about anything on the day was incredible. All our guests complement the staff and the rooms and said they couldn?t have been any nicer. Aisling was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing she was so calm and helpful, replied to every email and phone call and explained details down to the smallest of things. I couldn?t have imagined our wedding day to be any more perfect if I tried and that was down to the brilliant and very professional staff of the Radisson blu athlone.

Wonderful venue and staff. Always got a quick response to our many queries. The staff were very accommodating to all of our needs on the day and i would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anybody for their wedding.
