The venue was amazing, we had a great time and everything was fabulous from start to finish. The hotel pulled out all the stops and Claire the wedding Co - Ordinator was so helpful, we couldn't of asked for more or a better experience dealing with you.
Food was amazing, detail and decoration was also amazing & even the little surprises in between that we didn't no of. Thanks for our champagne and our personalised glasses... Il will attach photos as soon as we receive them back..

We had our wedding on the 21st June 2025, and with the sun beating down, the Radisson Blu Athlone truly revealed itself as the perfect venue to capture and experience such a special day.

From our very first meeting with Claire, our wedding coordinator, we were immediately taken by the venue's charm and elegance. The beautiful pergola, adorned with tasteful decor and vibrant orange trees, created an unforgettable setting for our drinks reception. Overlooking the River Shannon and the picturesque bridge, the entire space provided a stunning backdrop for our celebration.

Claire made us feel completely at ease from the beginning. We always felt heard and supported throughout the planning process, which made the lead-up to the big day feel calm and enjoyable.

We chose the Dream Package, and it truly lived up to its name. The drinks reception was generous and well-stocked, setting a relaxed and celebratory tone for the evening. A lovely touch that our guests especially appreciated was the personalised Tayto crisp packs handed out at the end of the night, complete with our names on the packaging.

We were thoroughly impressed with the level of service provided throughout the evening. Led by Anton and his fantastic team, everything ran seamlessly. The timing between courses was perfectly balanced, giving guests the chance to enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed. Any special dining requests were handled with ease, and we received countless compliments about the food—it was a real highlight of the evening.

The day itself exceeded anything we could have imagined. One of the highlights was a private boat trip along the River Shannon, offering a perfect moment of calm for our bridal party after a busy morning. It was not only a chance to relax and soak in the joy of the day, but also a truly unique and beautiful opportunity for wedding photos.

It was, without a doubt, the wedding of our dreams.

We got married in the Radisson Blu Hotel on the 30th of May 2025. I also wanted to have our reception in Athlone as I was from Offaly and he was from Galway so we made an appointment to go down and view the venue at one of their showcases this was the first venue we had went to look at. Very minute we went in all the staff were so welcoming especially the wedding co-ordinator Claire who made everything easy I had not a clue at that stage what kind of wedding I wanted but she walked through everything with us, I didn't even need time to think about it we just booked it there and then and I am so glad we did. Claire was such a lovely person to deal with she was always on hand if I needed to ask her anything or if I didn't know anything she was always at the end of the phone when I needed her. When the wedding came around and we arrived at the hotel for the boat trip I can honestly say it was the most beautiful thing I have ever done, we brought my maid of Honour and best man as we couldn't bring the five bridesmaids and five groomsmen we would have been a bit over crowded but Claire and some of her colleagues came on the boat with us, it was so relaxing and it was nice to get some time to ourselves, we got lots of pictures on the boat along the shannon we spent about 30 minutes on the boat. When we came back to the hotel we were greeted with champagne and canapés it was so nice as all of our guests met us out at the bridge. It was nice to chill with our guests and have a laugh we were so lucky as we got such a nice warm day for the wedding, I can honestly say we were well looked after the dinner was just unreal even the week after the wedding the amount of people that complimented how fabulous the food was and the hotel itself. We cannot thank Claire and all the team enough for making our day so special we will be forever grateful to you all ❤️

We had our wedding in February in the radisson. It was absolutely beautiful, the staff were so nice, the service was excellent and Claire, our co-ord was more than helpful. She made sure everything was smooth on the day. The set up was gorgeous. We went for a Buffett style wedding and it did not disappoint. A very different type but Claire paid close attention to detail and it turned out amazing. Could not recommend it enough! We also had our ceremony in the hotel and it was beautiful. It was planned perfectly and there was not a single flaw within the entire day

First and foremost, my event coordinator Claire walked a supportive journey with me through the weeks and months of preparations and that in itself alleviated my fears and worries. On the day of the party, the support and encouragement I got in the hands of my 2nd second event coordinator and manager was massive. The boat ride was incredible just like I always dreamt. My guests were treated with respect. The service provided throughout the event was exquisite, second to none. It was top-notch. The ambience was serene. The attention to detail and the experience my guests received was amazing.

The Radisson Blue Hotel is an amazing venue with beautiful views as it is situated right over the Shannon and it was perfect for our wedding day. Although we may have encountered a few hiccups the day of and the day after our wedding with some mistakes with staff, Claire was able to resolve the solution in an effective manner. Claire is so understanding, helpful and very supportive in what we wanted. The quality of the food was just outstanding and even tasted better than the food tasting day in our personal opinions. We’ve never eaten anything like it before! Our honeymoon sweet was so comfortable and over all amazing, being situated on the top floor. We will definitely be back to eat and possibly sleep there again! A big shout out to Claire and the staff again, as they did everything to make our dream wedding come true.

We're so happy we chose the Radisson Blu Athlone as our wedding venue. It was so lovley to have the River Shannon, Athlone Castle & The Cathedral as the backdrop to our wedding day. The wedding Co-Ordinator Claire was nothing less than helpful and was very accommodating to meet with us at such a busy time. No job was too big! The food was absolutely amazing! We had people telling us weeks after the wedding how delicious the food was so hats off to the chef!! The hotel was very clean, warm and had plenty of staff working nobody was waiting at the bar for too long and nobody had to wait too long for their dinner! I definitely wouldn't change our venue if we were to do it all again!

Claire the wedding co ordinator couldn't be of more help. Nothing was too much. Any questions we had she was more than happy to answer. On the day itself all the staff had the hotel set up absolutely fabulous and worked out a great day all round. Kieran the manager was on the evening shift from food to during the night and again so lovely to deal with and plenty of lovely compliments on the food aswell.

1000% recommend weddings in the Radisson all the team do their very best to help with your planning and are on hand on your day incase you have any worries.

We had our Wedding in the Radisson Athlone in May we went to there wedding show the year before and were very impressed by what they had to offer. On the lead up to the wedding Claire was ther to do everything for us any little thing we asked was done. On the day of the wedding everything went amazing thanks to the staff at the hotel who went above and beyond to make our special day amazing. The food for dinner was out of this world everyone loved it. We are delighted we chose this as our venue amd thank you to the staff of the hotel for making our day so special.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Radisson Blu Athlone this November. Our wedding coordinator, Claire, was fantastic with helping us plan our big day. She was a dream to work with from start to finish. The hotel staff were professional and unbelievably accommodating on the day. The ceremony and reception room was laid out so beautifully and elegantly. The food was amazing. We had our day two at the hotel. Again, the staff were wonderful and the food was great. We enjoyed our celebrations from planning, right up to the main event. We would highly recommend the Radisson Blu Athlone for a wedding, outstanding venue.

We had the must amazing day at the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa Sligo. It far exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing especially Denise and Martina. The planning was made so much easier and Denise thought of everything, so helpful and nothing was too much. We can't thank her and all the team enough. I would highly recommend the hotel for a wonderful stress free wedding day.

Aishling and all the staff at the radisson blu hotel athlone where fantastic to deal with and so helpful as most of our family's stay for 3 days it was one a very relaxing wedding and we would do it again in a heart beat in the hotel we made so many memories that we will never forget. I just wanted to thank you and all the staff at the Radisson for making our wedding day so perfect. You went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had everything we wanted and took the stress out of it all. I didn't have to remember anything because you thought of everything for me! As Jason kept saying, Aisling is on the ball!- and you were so on top of things at every stage of the planning.
The hotel itself was amazing also. All of our guests commented on the fabulous food and the beautiful setting. You had loads of staff on and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I want to particularly mention two young waiters who had patiently waited to clean the reception room after us at all hours of the morning; they approached me with a card they had found under one of the tables. So honest and patient with us; I didnt even think to get their names at the time.
A few of my friends are engaged to be married and I will be highly recommending the Radisson to them. In our opinion, you could not ask for more from a wedding venue. On every front, it was flawless!

We got married here on the 10th of august 2013. It was an amazing day and we couldnt have been happy with the venue on the day. Tanya our wedding co-coordinator was fantastic on the day and the weeks and months that led up to the occasion..... she was always just a phone call away and would always be accommodating with whatever request we had. from the gorgeous food to the fabulous service and not to mention the breathtaking views of the shannon, i could not imagine doing it anywhere else!!!! We got married in May 2012 in in a civil ceremony in the Radisson Blu Athlone. We looked at a lot of different venues but as soon as we went to view the Radisson it was an easy decision, everything just felt right. We initially met with Tanya who made us feel very welcome. There was no problems tweaking the menu to suit our requirements and Tanya also recommended our photographer Magda Christie who turned out to be a real gem :). As part of the package we were given a tasting meal with our relatives free of charge which was a lovely touch, and a nice break in the middle of all the wedding planning!!!
On our big day the staff could not do enough to help us:)

The sun shone and the riverside terrace area outside the hotel provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding photographs.
We had an absolutely fantastic day, just perfect, we will never forget it. Everything about the hotel was excellent. The food was gorgeous , the service was top class. But what made it was the staff.... Amanda, Alex, the bar manager, the staff serving dinner all fantastic. Everyone commented on how lovely , friendly and helpful the staff were. Everyone felt very at home and that was down to the staff.
We would highly recommend the Radisson as a great wedding venue, you will not be disappointed :)

We had looked at many wedding venues prior to our visit to the radisson, but we knew as soon as we seen the function room done up in all its splendor, that was where we wanted our wedding reception. We we passing by one day and dropped in unplanned just to pick up a wedding package, but we ended up meeting with Denise and she gave us a quick tour of the venue and Bridal suite (which is amazing) that day and was very generous with her time, along side catering for the wedding that was taking place that day.

We met with Tanya and Denise a couple of days later and discussed what we'd like to have and the budget we had in mind. They could not have been more helpful. They gave us definite answers to all our queries and left us with no grey areas or empty promises. The best thing about Tanya and Denise was that every e-mail and phonecall we put through to them was answered straight away, it was like their world revolved around us for those couple of months.

We got married in Nov 2012 and the wedding day itself was excellent and so special and the food and service was fantastic. We found that the Radisson had a really personnal approach to us as customers and we found this a really nice way of dealing with people. As well as being generous with their time, they gave us a complementry room the night prior to the wedding and the room rates for our guests were very reasonable. We had some extras outside of the wedding package, up lights, siluette and drape on the way into the reception room and Tanya and Denise gave us contact details of the people that supplied these so as we could get the best possible rates.

We loved this venue so much, we extended our gym membership after our wedding. Now when we pop in, all the feelings from the wedding day come floading back. We regulary socialise with our families here and enjoy the scenery overlooking the shannon.

Basically we would give the Radisson 11/10 and would recommend it to anybody and look forward to having any other events there.

We got married on Sat 25th May 2013 at the Radisson Blu Hotel and cannot praise the staff enough.
Living in Manchester we had to arrange most things over Email or the phone and both Denise and Tanya were very helpful and, in a nutshell, know the wedding business like the back of their hand.
Nothing was too much trouble, the attention to detail was second to none. As part of the package we had a 'menu tasting' evening. This was great, six of us had a four course meal with the wine that would be served on the day. We had the opportunity to give feedback so that the meal would be perfect on the big day, and it was.
All of our guests raved about the day, from our fab boat arrival to the belly busting delicious meal.
The hotel now feels like a second home, we loved staying there in the run-up to the wedding and were treated so well during our wedding weekend. Our friends didn't want to leave.
We 100% recommend the hotel. We loved it!

My husband and I had our wedding here on the 4th of May 2013 and words can not describe how amazing our day went thanks to the hotel and its incredible staff. Everything we asked for was carried out to the highest standard and we felt really looked after and cared for by all the staff all day and for the duration of our stay. The standard of the food, service and the atmosphere throughout the day was beyond our expectations. There was no shortage of champagne or canapés at the drinks reception and our guest's glasses were never empty at the dinner which is what every bride and groom wants to hear. Since the wedding we have been inundated with compliments about the standard and quality of the food&drink throughout the day.
As part of our day we had organized two boat trips from the hotel pier and this all went off without a hitch thanks to Tanya and the team who helped in getting everyone on and off the boats, quickly and efficiently. The hotel staff brought the champagne (which they had kindly held over night and chilled for us), ice and trays of food to the boats for us prior to departure and yet again this was well-organized and carried out in a competent and prompt manner.
Our theme for the wedding day was vintage chic, which again required a lot of help from the hotel, in setting tables with china tea sets and assembling china cake stands for displays during the drinks reception and for the desserts after dinner. The hotel again accommodated us by accepting the boxes of china and accessories the Thursday before our wedding. The table settings for the drinks reception and in the main room looked fantastic, and this didn't go unnoticed by the guests who commented to me throughout the day about the d?cor and the settings. We were so trilled with all the compliments and with how the room looked, it really did exceed our expectations.
The Bridal suite is amazing with panoramic views of the river Shannon and was large enough to facilitate a very relaxing morning of hair and make up for myself and the bridal party the day of the wedding. A number of requests for extra drinks and food on the morning were dealt with effectively and efficiently. On the night of our wedding we were greeted by a lovely card, fruit basket and water on arrival to the bridal suite and the next morning we were awoken by a call from the reception manager to ask if we were ready for our champagne breakfast or would we like it at a later time than stated. The breakfast was delivered in a heated trolley and was yet again fantastic quality and there was enough food to feed a small army.
Overall we can not recommend the hotel enough to anyone who is considering it for there wedding. The staff and the banqueting team must be complimented on their total and utter commitment to what they do. In particular we can not speak highly enough of Tanya the wedding coordinator for her accommodating manner throughout the whole planning process. She was extremely efficient, professional, and obliging during all our meetings. We always felt so excited about our wedding after speaking to Tanya because she brings so much enthusiasm to her job. She was happy to help us at all stages and with all queries, we always felt in safe hands and always felt like our wedding was important and individual which is so important to any bride and groom.
We would like to thank The Radisson Hotel and all the staff for the best day of our lives.

We cannot mention enough thanks to all the staff at the Radisson for making our day so special and also for being part of it. From the first phone call and meeting to the final farewell the staff offered professional service yet at the same time very personal. Denise was our first point of contact and was so helpful it was like an extra pair of hands any bridal party could need.
The hotel allowed our civil ceremony to have the right ambience and allowed it to be perfect... what more could a couple ask for... We had a wonderful 5 course meal in the Marina Suite which has fabulous views of the Shannon - the meal could not be faulted along with the wine arranged by the hotel. Followed by the evening food which was equally as good. There was plenty of places to have pictures
taken including the beautiful honeymoon suite. Our guests were impressed and as well catered for as we were. They had great accommodation followed by the breakfast to keep them going
on their journies home. All was done with a smile...
