Honestly it's hard to put into words how amazing this venue was. It was the very first venue we viewed and I knew the second we walked in it was it. Our first co-ord helped us with all our initial questions and was prompt on replying to all questions and setting us on our countdown journey. Claire started and with only a few months to go stepped up in realising our dream day. We wanted a relaxed day, sipping cocktails on the deck and enjoying food, well that's exactly what we got. From the moment we walked in it was perfect, the ceremony setting exactly how I imaging it. The reception was exactly the same the fairy tale dream. The food was absolutly perfect and honestly still spoken about when reminiscing. Every single server, manager all staff were so helpful in making sure everything was done right and that everything was the way we wanted. If I could do it over there isn't anything I would change, I would highly reccomend the Radisson athlone as a wedding venue.

We had our big day on the 29th July this year after 3 new dates due to covid - but noting was too big or too small for the team at the Radisson in Athlone they were just so helpful and it really was just so stress free with them. Our day at the Hotel was everything an so much more we ever could have imagined from the service the food the room itself was all just amazing . They staff were just so hands on so helpful that day it really just was smooth sailing. We had a kids table and anytime I looked down there was always a staff member over with them checking seeing if all was OK with them making sure they had enough food juice just playing with them it was just super. Also our kids stsyed thst night with us and there room in the hotel was amazing an when we asked for them to be near us it was never an issue it was just super. We still have guests say to us about the service of food we had any amount and it was just amazing . The Barr staff had there work cut out for them let me tell ya but they kept all our guests well watered (hehe) To the management team & staff no matter what I asked or looked for it was never a issue even the day before going down to bring down our stuff going into the venu room looking at them all working away to make our day so special an they coming over seeing did we like it they were just brilliant. I couldn't fault the guys at the Radisson and I would highly highly recommend it for a venue to any couple looking to celebrate there day with the Radisson Blu Athlone

Claire was so supportive in the lead up to the wedding and coordinated every detail so well that the entire day ran so smoothly from start to finish. We had both our ceremony and reception in the hotel and it was such a fantastic setting. You created the perfect atmosphere for us and our guests and the decor was fabulous. The meal was also delicious, and was made even better with incredible service throughout - all our guests said how impressed they were. Your whole team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and treated us so well from our very first visit. We even lost something sentimental on the day and the team managed to locate it and get it back into our hands safe and sound. This is an amazing place for a Wedding. We can highly recommend the hotel. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside tarrace area and nice view, very clean, plenty of very delicious and outstanding food great service . It was our dream venue and we had a wonderful time. The wedding venue manager Claire , is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through and was pleasure to work with very quick to respond.The price is very affordable, but the location and view seems like it should be worth a lot more.The hotel and stuff there were out of their way to meet our needs,and they are on top of everything.Just wonderful in every way. The photo opportunities are plentiful to get amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds. All and all, my husband and I were very happy with this venue and we recommend it to all of our engaged friends. We couldn’t be happier with how everything went. All our expectations were met also our guests had great time.

We had the must amazing day at the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa Sligo. It far exceeded our expectations. The staff were amazing especially Denise and Martina. The planning was made so much easier and Denise thought of everything, so helpful and nothing was too much. We can't thank her and all the team enough. I would highly recommend the hotel for a wonderful stress free wedding day.

Everything was amazing. Aishling was unbelievable, nothing was an issue for her. I forgot flowers for our ceremony table and it was taken care if in minutes! Food was amazing, everyone is still talking about how good it was! The only thing we missed was the late nite nibbles which never arrived but that was it! I could not recommend this hotel more!!!!

This hotel pulled out all the stops for us , our arrival was by boat complements of the hotel, room for myself the night before so I could leave from the hotel, all members of staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for us , highly recommended any couple getting married to view this hotel

I just wanted to thank you and all the staff at the Radisson for making our wedding day so perfect. You went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had everything we wanted and took the stress out of it all. I didn't have to remember anything because you thought of everything for me! As Jason kept saying, Aisling is on the ball!- and you were so on top of things at every stage of the planning. The hotel itself was amazing also. All of our guests commented on the fabulous food and the beautiful setting. You had loads of staff on and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I want to particularly mention two young waiters who had patiently waited to clean the reception room after us at all hours of the morning; they approached me with a card they had found under one of the tables. So honest and patient with us; I didnt even think to get their names at the time. A few of my friends are engaged to be married and I will be highly recommending the Radisson to them. We had our wedding on the 28th of august 2015 in the Radisson blu athlone and I can say that everything was perfect down to the tiny details. The hotel its self is in a perfect location and the views of the Shannon from the Marina Suite are fantastic the comfort we had that knowing we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day was incredible. All our guests complement the staff and the rooms and said they couldn’t have been any nicer. Aisling was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing she was so calm and helpful, replied to every email and phone call and explained details down to the smallest of things. I couldn’t have imagined our wedding day to be any more perfect if I tried and that was down to the brilliant and very professional staff of the Radisson blu athlone.

We got married here on the 10th of august 2013. It was an amazing day and we couldnt have been happy with the venue on the day. Tanya our wedding co-coordinator was fantastic on the day and the weeks and months that led up to the occasion..... she was always just a phone call away and would always be accommodating with whatever request we had. from the gorgeous food to the fabulous service and not to mention the breathtaking views of the shannon, i could not imagine doing it anywhere else!!!! We had our wedding reception at the Radisson Blu, Athlone in October 2013. We had looked at other hotels in the area but the Radisson stood out for us in terms of location and quality. Also Tanya the Wedding co-ordinator was so organised I knew from the first time I met her that she was on top of her brief I knew that everything would be taken care of on the day. On the day itself everything was perfect! the room was beautiful, the food was excellent and the service was exceptional. So many of our guests commented how impressed they were with the food and service on the day, which is always really nice to hear. We arrived to the hotel via a boat across the Shannon and it made for some wonderful pictures. The hotel is a great place to have a wedding and I couldn't recommend it enough.

We got married at the Radisson Blu, Athlone in April 2012. During a visit home to Longford, Christmas 2010, we looked at few hotels in the Midlands for our wedding reception. Living in Wales we knew it was important to get on with, and feel comfortable with the wedding coordinator that would be helping us with our special day. As soon as we walked into the Radisson we knew it was for us, and after meeting Tanya, and her putting our minds at ease about arranging a wedding from so far away, we didn’t look back. We could not have asked for a more helpful, friendly team of people to work with leading up to the big day, and on the day itself and would highly recommend this as the perfect wedding venue. The wonderful experience started with the menu tasting with both sets of parents. The food was incredible and made it so difficult to choose the dishes that would be served on the day. Tanya and Denise gave us contacts for flowers, hair and a DJ; all of which we used and had a great experience with them all. We wanted to have a meal the night before the wedding in Athlone with our close family, bridesmaids and groomsman. Tanya not only recommended a wonderful restaurant but also offered to phone ahead and book a table so we didn’t have to. The reception room was dressed just as we wanted it, and looked even better than we thought was possible. Again, the food was amazing and plenty of it, and the service from the waiters and waitresses was first class. We partied into the small hours and would happily do it all again. The day after the wedding we had a BBQ in a private room with access to the veranda and once again we were amazed by the quality and the quantity of food served. Thank you everyone at the Radisson who made our day unforgettable.

We got married in May 2012 in in a civil ceremony in the Radisson Blu Athlone. We looked at a lot of different venues but as soon as we went to view the Radisson it was an easy decision, everything just felt right. We initially met with Tanya who made us feel very welcome. There was no problems tweaking the menu to suit our requirements and Tanya also recommended our photographer Magda Christie who turned out to be a real gem :). As part of the package we were given a tasting meal with our relatives free of charge which was a lovely touch, and a nice break in the middle of all the wedding planning!!! On our big day the staff could not do enough to help us:) Amanda was absolutely fantastic , surely made us feel like royalty on the day. The sun shone and the riverside terrace area outside the hotel provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding photographs. We had an absolutely fantastic day, just perfect, we will never forget it. Everything about the hotel was excellent. The food was gorgeous , the service was top class. But what made it was the staff.... Amanda, Alex, the bar manager, the staff serving dinner all fantastic. Everyone commented on how lovely , friendly and helpful the staff were. Everyone felt very at home and that was down to the staff. We would highly recommend the Radisson as a great wedding venue, you will not be disappointed :)

We cannot compliment this hotel & its staff enough for making our wedding day last year so special! Denise, our wedding coordinator was so helpful, she went above & beyond to make our day as we wanted. I had so many silly questions to ask & she was always accommodating! On arrival we had a selection of sandwiches for our guests with tea/coffee aswell as a champagne reception- the food was fresh, had a good variety & went down a treat. We booked musicians to entertain our guests on arrival & a chocolate fountain also, this was all put in place without difficulty by the wedding team. The wedding meal was outstanding, many of our guests commented on the quality of the food & the service- we were delighted! The little extras I wanted to add to the day were no problem to the wedding team eg specific table names, music upon entrance to the function room etc. I found the accommodation gorgeous, the bridal suite we had was fab & both sets of parents also stayed in suites which were both lovely, overlooking the river. Breakfast the next morning was highly complimented by many of our guests also. In conclusion, we had an amazing wedding day at this hotel, so much so that we have stayed overnight since & have had dinner in the bar & restaurant on occasions since. There is lovely friendly atmosphere in the place & the staff cannot do enough for you!

Our wedding day planning commenced the moment we met Tanya at the Raddison, she was so kind and could met our every need! All of the staff were very welcoming and supportive at every stage and trust me we had a few very special requests, nothing was out of the question. Leading up to the special day we had so much support and found comfort in advice and help provided by the team at the Raddison. On the day of the wedding the staff were so helpful, kind and supportive, this was a special help to us as we have two little princesses and also many children guests, the staff kept a eye out for them also which made our day even more special. Our day really was magical, this was not just because of the venue, spectacular food, great drink atmosphere but mostly because of the fabulous staff, they are a credit to the hotel!!! We still visit the hotel when in Athlone as the girls love to remember the day and of course enjoy the food, every time we go the staff still remember us and can talk to us about our day again and again, it really is a personal approach to each wedding and now we have many new friends at the hotel. We recommend the hotel for any special event but a wedding is truly memorable here. Trust us once you met the team you will know just what we mean!!!

We had looked at many wedding venues prior to our visit to the radisson, but we knew as soon as we seen the function room done up in all its splendor, that was where we wanted our wedding reception. We we passing by one day and dropped in unplanned just to pick up a wedding package, but we ended up meeting with Denise and she gave us a quick tour of the venue and Bridal suite (which is amazing) that day and was very generous with her time, along side catering for the wedding that was taking place that day. We met with Tanya and Denise a couple of days later and discussed what we'd like to have and the budget we had in mind. They could not have been more helpful. They gave us definite answers to all our queries and left us with no grey areas or empty promises. The best thing about Tanya and Denise was that every e-mail and phonecall we put through to them was answered straight away, it was like their world revolved around us for those couple of months. We got married in Nov 2012 and the wedding day itself was excellent and so special and the food and service was fantastic. We found that the Radisson had a really personnal approach to us as customers and we found this a really nice way of dealing with people. As well as being generous with their time, they gave us a complementry room the night prior to the wedding and the room rates for our guests were very reasonable. We had some extras outside of the wedding package, up lights, siluette and drape on the way into the reception room and Tanya and Denise gave us contact details of the people that supplied these so as we could get the best possible rates. We loved this venue so much, we extended our gym membership after our wedding. Now when we pop in, all the feelings from the wedding day come floading back. We regulary socialise with our families here and enjoy the scenery overlooking the shannon. Basically we would give the Radisson 11/10 and would recommend it to anybody and look forward to having any other events there.

My wife and I had our wedding reception in the Radisson Blu hotel Athlone in July 2012. In October 2011 we decided to visit a number of hotels in Athlone to choose our wedding venue. The first hotel we arrived at was the Radisson where we met with Amanda. We were so impressed by the warm welcome, willingness to accommodate our requirements, the hotel facilities, decor and wedding packages on offer that this was the only hotel we visited and we completed the wedding booking at the hotel only a couple of days later. In the lead up to the wedding day every email i sent or phone call i made was promptly answered and every request we made was accommodated. The wedding day itself was everything we hoped for and the hotel played a very big part in making it such a memorable day. From the time we arrived at the hotel to a champagne reception to the dinner which was exceptional right through to the entertainment everything was perfect. The following day we had a lovely BBQ for our friends at family the hotel over looking the Shannon. The weather was beautiful and it went down very well with everyone. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone as a wedding venue and we looking forward to returning to the hotel for our 1 year anniversary stay.

We had our Civil Partnership in the Radisson Blu Athlone in August 2012. From the initial meeting to find out about their packages we were very impressed by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. The lead up to our ceremony was made very easy because of the support given by the staff at the Radisson. The wedding packages on offer were very reasonably priced considering the level of quality on offer - the menu options were very impressive and a couple of extras, such as a years gym membership, made it an easy choice. On the day itself the food was fantastic, the room looked great and was private with its own bar. The quality of the suite was also very high. Overall we were really impressed and would highly recommend it.

We got married on Sat 25th May 2013 at the Radisson Blu Hotel and cannot praise the staff enough. Living in Manchester we had to arrange most things over Email or the phone and both Denise and Tanya were very helpful and, in a nutshell, know the wedding business like the back of their hand. Nothing was too much trouble, the attention to detail was second to none. As part of the package we had a 'menu tasting' evening. This was great, six of us had a four course meal with the wine that would be served on the day. We had the opportunity to give feedback so that the meal would be perfect on the big day, and it was. All of our guests raved about the day, from our fab boat arrival to the belly busting delicious meal. The hotel now feels like a second home, we loved staying there in the run-up to the wedding and were treated so well during our wedding weekend. Our friends didn't want to leave. We 100% recommend the hotel. We loved it!

My wife and I got married last August at the Radisson Blu in Athlone. We had planned to look at a few hotels as possible venues for the reception, but we were so impressed with the welcome, the friendliness and the venue itself we booked straight away with the Radisson without looking elsewhere. We were disappointed at all, the day was perfect, the organisers Tanya and Denise were great and so helpful and the staff ensured that everyone had a great time. Everything ran smoothly and everyone had a great time. To this day my family from England are still talking about how great the wedding and hotel staff were. When my wife and I now going away for weekends in the UK or Ireland we always stay at a Radisson Blu hotel if therr is one in the town.

We had our wedding in August 2012 over the bank holiday weekend in the Radisson Blu, Athlone. We had a wonderful time and the staff did a great job co-ordinating such a large wedding - we had around 250 guests. We'd like to thank Denise and Tanya for all their hard work in the run up to the wedding day; which was very enjoyable for both of us - thank you. We especially wanted to mention the management and bar staff who looked after the wedding group on the Sunday, the second day of celebrations which accumulated in a DJ music and a sing song into the early hours. There were still a lot of people staying the second day so again - fair play to the staff both during the day and the night as the party, music and singing went on. It was a great party the second night and we all had a brilliant time. The food was delicious, really exquisite so our compliments to the chefs, and thanks to Denise and Justin for sorting out the TV with the matches in the room. That was a great hit. Our wedding coincided with a high profile GAA game so the staff accommodated our request to have the matches playing on mute in the corner of the banquet hall which was much appreciated by those guests! A nice touch. It can be hard to do a full handover of a wedding from one wedding organiser to another and from one manager to another so I can understand that one or two things may have been missed on the day - allocated parking wasn't quite as plentiful for our many guests as we'd expected - our planned boat trip wasn't given enough time so we had to scrap it the day before the wedding which was a little disappointing, the table plan needed to be followed a little more closely and the staff needed to be on their toes to serve so many guests at the bar the following day without delay. These were only minor areas that we feel we should mention to give a fair reflection of all aspects of the smooth running of such a large scale wedding. Overall, the wedding team provided a very enjoyable wedding experience both in the run up to it and during the whole weekend. We had a great time at the hotel and I found all your staff to be very friendly and helpful. I know a lot of our guests were very impressed with the hotel and have said they'll be back. Finally, we picked the Radisson Blu in Athlone because the hotel was lovely and the location was mid way for both our families. It was important to us that the accommodation rates for our guests was reasonably priced and I must say that the Raddisson provided such a comprehensive package for the weekend that a lot of people were able to stay for the full weekend and make a real celebration of the whole occasion. I fully recommend the Radisson Blu in Athlone for anyone looking for a hotel in the area.

My husband and I had our wedding here on the 4th of May 2013 and words can not describe how amazing our day went thanks to the hotel and its incredible staff. Everything we asked for was carried out to the highest standard and we felt really looked after and cared for by all the staff all day and for the duration of our stay. The standard of the food, service and the atmosphere throughout the day was beyond our expectations. There was no shortage of champagne or canapés at the drinks reception and our guest’s glasses were never empty at the dinner which is what every bride and groom wants to hear. Since the wedding we have been inundated with compliments about the standard and quality of the food&drink throughout the day. As part of our day we had organized two boat trips from the hotel pier and this all went off without a hitch thanks to Tanya and the team who helped in getting everyone on and off the boats, quickly and efficiently. The hotel staff brought the champagne (which they had kindly held over night and chilled for us), ice and trays of food to the boats for us prior to departure and yet again this was well-organized and carried out in a competent and prompt manner. Our theme for the wedding day was vintage chic, which again required a lot of help from the hotel, in setting tables with china tea sets and assembling china cake stands for displays during the drinks reception and for the desserts after dinner. The hotel again accommodated us by accepting the boxes of china and accessories the Thursday before our wedding. The table settings for the drinks reception and in the main room looked fantastic, and this didn’t go unnoticed by the guests who commented to me throughout the day about the décor and the settings. We were so trilled with all the compliments and with how the room looked, it really did exceed our expectations. The Bridal suite is amazing with panoramic views of the river Shannon and was large enough to facilitate a very relaxing morning of hair and make up for myself and the bridal party the day of the wedding. A number of requests for extra drinks and food on the morning were dealt with effectively and efficiently. On the night of our wedding we were greeted by a lovely card, fruit basket and water on arrival to the bridal suite and the next morning we were awoken by a call from the reception manager to ask if we were ready for our champagne breakfast or would we like it at a later time than stated. The breakfast was delivered in a heated trolley and was yet again fantastic quality and there was enough food to feed a small army. Overall we can not recommend the hotel enough to anyone who is considering it for there wedding. The staff and the banqueting team must be complimented on their total and utter commitment to what they do. In particular we can not speak highly enough of Tanya the wedding coordinator for her accommodating manner throughout the whole planning process. She was extremely efficient, professional, and obliging during all our meetings. We always felt so excited about our wedding after speaking to Tanya because she brings so much enthusiasm to her job. She was happy to help us at all stages and with all queries, we always felt in safe hands and always felt like our wedding was important and individual which is so important to any bride and groom. We would like to thank The Radisson Hotel and all the staff for the best day of our lives.

To Tanya, Denise and All the Radisson staff. Myself and my husband Quinton got married on 5th April 2013. From the very first meeting with Denise to our checkout after the wedding the staff have always been friendly, helpful and accommodating for anything we needed.On the very first meeting we were brought a glass of champagne to congratulate us on our engagement. And throughout our search for the perfect venue for our wedding, anything we asked for we got. Every-time we called in for a visit, either Tanya or Denise took time out of their very busy schedules to talk to us and answer any questions we had. They even amended our wedding package to give the meal wine free in exchange for the gym use as we live too far away from the gym to avail of the free membership. Even when we had to change the date of the wedding, it was all carried out in a matter of minutes and without any fuss and led to a very stress free call to the hotel. We decided to do something completely different for our wedding cake and carol (the pastry chef) was amazingly enthusiastic when it came to designing and making our Rugby wedding cake. All our guests were amazed by the size and creativity of it.Thanks Carol !!!!! On the buildup to the day we had a lovely menu tasting and wine tasting night. This involved the full menu been served to 6 people and 2 bottles of wine, all free. So myself and my husband, along with our parents were able to have a full 5 course meal all as part of the amazing Radisson service. On the build-up to our day we needed a few specific items placed on the tables and all this was carried out efficiently and without any stress for us. On the actual day of the wedding we arrived by boat (which the Radisson paided for) and the whole day ran smoothly and without any fuss. We were personally taken care of by 4 staff members over the course of the day, and they were free to help us in anyway we needed over the course of the day. So we felt no stress what-so-ever on our special day. As for the actual Radisson facilities, we arrived onto an fabulous decking area, the ballroom has the most amazingly scenic views of the River and Athlone castle (even better at night once the castle is lit up). the ballroom is extremely spacious and airy and the lounge area has a load of extra couches an seats for those who want a break from all the dancing !!!!! And all of our guests were hugely complimentary on the quality of the food served, and everybody had a lot of lovely things to say on the quantity and quality of all the food served, from the initial canapes to the afters food late in the night. Overall myself and my husband Quinton had the most relaxed and stress-free experience with the Radisson, we felt like with had a team of wedding planners working for us throughout the whole experience. We highly recommend anyone to avail of the Radisson for their wedding and if we had to do it again in the morning we wouldn't change a bit. On top of ALL this amazing service, we still have a complimentary nights stay with dinner to look forward to on our 1st Anniversary..... So the service doesn't stop after the main day !!!!!!! We had our wedding at the Radisson, Athlone in September 2012 - it was a perfect day. The booking process was simple, we were met with warm arms in December 2011 and instantly knew this was the venue for us. Roll on a few months to June 2012 and it was time for the all important food tasting; along with both sets of parents we were treated to a wide range of dishes and we all got to sample the adequate portions and wines - it was the only meal we all ate that day and at the end of it made the tough choices for our wedding menu. On the wedding day itself the staff were very attentive and catered to our every needs, the tables were beautifully decorated in white linen with centre pieces, the meal was exactly as we tasted back in June, the bar was fully stocked with our requested spirits, the rooms were a fantastic rate for all our guests – some guests stayed for 2+ nights coming over from England and making a holiday of it and have since returned for another holiday to Athlone staying at The Radisson. We’d highly recommend hosting your wedding at The Radisson – our top tip – ensure you take full advantage of the back bar terrace by the river for some amazing photo’s. Hope your day is as good as ours was.

From the first phone call and meeting to the final farewell the staff offered professional service yet at the same time very personal. Denise was our first point of contact and was so helpful it was like an extra pair of hands any bridal party could need. The hotel allowed our civil ceremony to have the right ambience and allowed it to be perfect... what more could a couple ask for... We had a wonderful 5 course meal in the Marina Suite which has fabulous views of the Shannon - the meal could not be faulted along with the wine arranged by the hotel. Followed by the evening food which was equally as good. There was plenty of places to have pictures taken including the beautiful honeymoon suite. Our guests were impressed and as well catered for as we were. They had great accommodation followed by the breakfast to keep them going on their journies home. All was done with a smile... Thank you for making our day one to remember and see you all on our 1st Anniversary.

We had our wedding in the Radisson Athlone in February 2011 and had an absolutely wonderful day. In the build up to the wedding, the staff could not have been more helpful and flexible.We were provided with detailed description and walkthrough of how the day would go and given a tour of the hotel and facilities. We had a complimentary wine and menu tasting. On the day itself, the staff's attention to detail really impressed us and made us feel at ease. The service for the champagne reception and main meal was efficient and friendly. Loads of our guests commented on the quality of the food and the house wine. The function room itself was spacious and comfortable with magnificent views of the River Shannon. I couldn't recommend the Radisson in Athlone enough to host a wedding. Given chance to do it over again, we would not change anything.

Our wedding reception in the Radisson Hotel, Athlone on July 29th 2011 was catered for in a most professional & friendly manner with perfection to every detail. From the initial meeting with Amanda through to the wedding day itself, the attention, thoughtfulness, friendliness and professionalism projected by the staff involved was 1st Class. Our guests were complimentary of the reception on arrival and the evening dinner which was cooked to perfection and well presented - even though on the day we were delayed by over one hour due to ongoing improvements on the dual carriageway resulting in heavy traffic and long delays. We had a beautiful day made all that more beautiful by the Staff of the Radisson Hotel. Many Thanks Guys – You know how to make a day extra special. Regards
