From the moment we drove up the lane to Rathsallagh House, we knew it was where we wanted to get married. There is such a welcoming air to the place, the house and the staff. If you want an intimate, exclusive and warm reception with food that is EXCEPTIONAL, than Rathsallagh is for you. No deed was too great for their team. They had even learnt the names of the Bridal Party and welcomed them all by name upon arrival- the whole day was filled with beautiful, personal touches like this. Some of our guests don't drink and the team had gone above and beyond to find alcohol-free wine and Prosecco, so that they could be included in toasts. Our guests could not speak highly enough of the service they were provided with. They all commented on how beautiful and unique the bedrooms were and one of our guests felt unwell and a staff member arranged for dinner to be brought to their bedroom, so that they felt part of the celebrations. The Babysitter that was arranged through Rathsallagh was a huge success with the child they were minding and another example of Rathsallagh going above and beyond to get things right. The staff there could not have made our day any more special. You plan a wedding for months on end and have hopes that it will be perfect... if you have your wedding at Rathsallagh, it will be every bit as perfect as you have been dreaming of!

Can't believe it's all over, but we had the best wedding day on the 18th February in Rathsallagh House! The venue itself is so gorgeous I can't even explain it. From the second drove through the gates we already knew that this was where we wanted to get married. The communication from start to finish was amazing. They are such a professional outfit that clearly know what they are doing. The number of compliments we got about the venue, staff, food and level of service on the day and since then is honestly unbelievable. Without a doubt the best steak I've ever eaten! We couldn't recommend this beautiful venue and family of staff more!

We recently got married in Rathsallagh. What made it stand out from the other wedding venues we viewed was the warm and welcoming environment. Throughout the 15 month planning process Benny and the team were amazing and any questions/queries we had were dealt with in a prompt and professional manner, they couldn’t have done more. The day itself couldn’t have gone better with guests still talking about how good the food, service and accommodation was. We would 100% recommend Rathsallagh to others getting married and can’t wait to visit again in the future.

Catherine and her team made everything extremely easy for us. They really took the stress out of the planning part of the wedding. They were very accessible in the days and weeks leading up to the wedding allowing us the freedom to drop decorations to the venue well in advance, so we could be as prepared in advance of the big day as possible. The staff at Rathsallagh were invaluable in helping with some of the suppliers. The day itself went flawlessly. Everything just fell into to place perfectly, it almost seemed too easy. A testament to how hard Catherine and her team work to make it that way. From check in, to helping with ushering people and making sure the bride is (relatively) on time once everyone is packed in for our wedding on site. The staff had the place looking amazing, and went to the trouble of adding further decorations to help us give a nod to the last day of Chinese new year. They really went the extra mile. The food is excellent. We went with a Pork confit for starters and for mains we had a lamb plate or a cod plate. The Lamb fell off the bone and was incredibly tender. A real Dunlavin special. The cod was also excellent. The deserts were amazing. Can't recommend Rathsallagh enough. The setting is gorgeous, with a long drive up through the stunning Wicklow countryside, gorgeous courtyards draped in ivy, and mature beech trees decorating the front lawn. It's a very special venue.

My husband Sean and I got married in Rathsallagh House on NYE and had the most wonderful weekend. We organised our wedding from abroad and found the staff of Rathsallagh very helpful and approachable via email. On the weekend itself, the team at Rathsallagh were warm, friendly, efficient and on the ball at every step. No request was too much for them, they made us feel like a prince and princess all weekend, and we felt as though they shared in our joy throughout the couple of days. Thank you to Joe, Catherine and all of the team for truly giving us a weekend to remember.

If you want an exclusive venue that is homely, beautiful, different to your typical wedding hotel and you want to feel special. Just book Rathsallagh! Honestly I could not fault one thing about our wedding. From the morning in the bridal suite, to our doggies being able to spend the 2 days with us, the food, the staff, the setting. Just everything. I honestly couldn't recommend it enough. What an experience we had. So many of our guests said it was the best venue they had been at, even the day 2 food was way above our expectations. I wish we could go back and do it all again. Olivia was our wedding planner. She was fabulous. Cannot recommend enough!! Thanks for making it the best day ever for not only us, but for our guests. X

From start to finish, we couldn't have been happier with our choice of venue. The house and accommodation are absolutely beautiful and so comfortable and very particularly lovely with all the Christmas decorations for our December wedding. The food was amazing too but the most impressive thing was the staff and how incredibly helpful and friendly they were throughout the process and on the day - all of our guests commented on this. We planned a lot of the wedding from abroad and Catherine and Steven were so helpful with their thoughtful suggestions and they and their teams had everything sorted for us - there wasn't a single thing that didn't go to plan on the day and there was nothing at all for us to worry about. We and all our guests had an absolutely brilliant time and I would 100% recommend Rathsallagh as a brilliant wedding venue!

We got married in Rathsallagh on 17 December later year, having both our ceremony and reception there and I honestly could not recommend it enough! The day we went to view Rathsallagh, we knew it was the place where we wanted to get married. The venue and grounds are absolutely stunning.. and as we got married just before Christmas, it was so beautifully decorated on the day. To have the place exclusively to us and our guests on the day too was just so special. We can’t speak highly enough of the staff either - in the planning and lead up to the wedding, everyone we dealt with was so accomodating and helpful especially Olivia and Amy. They took all the stress out of planning the day and made it so enjoyable! On the day itself, the staff were incredible - from the moment we arrived at the venue until we checked out the next day, they couldn’t do enough for us or our guests. The food was outstanding too - we had so many compliments from guests on the night and in the time since. So many people told us it was the best beef they’ve ever had.It was hands down the best food we have ever had at a wedding. We honestly had the best day and experience with Rathsallagh and would recommend it as a wedding venue to anyone. We just wish we could go back and do it all again!!!

We had our gorgeous wedding on the 15th and 16th of December and it was exceptional. From the year we spent planning, the tasting experience the meetings and the calls every staff member (aoife and Olivia in particular) made it the easiest and funnest wedding ever! We had the lovely frosty and icy weather and the grounds and the staff just made it so homely and christmassy - winter wonderland of my dreams!!!!! The food (sea bass oh my lord and the beef), the bar staff (UNBELIEVABLE) and just general all the staff - felt like we were throwing a party in our own home for two days! The drinks reception was unbelievable and then the gorgeous pavilion..stunning venue for anyone who wants to have that something special with the gorgeous draping and greenery looking out to the beautiful grounds! I don’t think we can thank Rathsallagh for providing us with a weekend we will never ever forget. Can’t wait to stay there soon already!! Niamh and Owen

The team at Rathsallagh were outstanding and went above and beyond to make our wedding special and memorable. Our guests raved about the food, setting and hospitality and we’re so happy with how well the day went. They were so pleasant to deal with from the initial meeting with Catherine to all the planning over 10 months, the day itself and the aftercare. We can’t wait to attend another Rathsallagh wedding and we wouldn’t hesitate recommending the venue to anyone thinking of having their wedding here! Fantastic team and thanks again!

From the moment I got to Rathsallagh the staff could not do enough for me, i didn't have to lift a finger for anything. Any little thing I was worried about having to do on the day Oliva already had it done for me. She was brilliant, anything we asked her to have ready pre wedding date she had done. Every member of staff we met before or on the day were so friendly and helpful and not just to the wedding party but every guest that came with us. One thing that can not be over looked is the food! everything was cooked to perfection! From starters to dessert, every course nicer than the last. The rooms are huge and so warm and comfortable its only a pity we didn't get to spend more time in them. Even at check out nobody was being rushed. They really made us feel like it was our house for the night, I would highly recommend Rathsallagh. Perfect from start to finish!

Rathsallagh were absolutely fantastic from the very start of the planning process to checkout the day after the wedding. The entire team (in particular Olivia who was our co-ordinator on the day and Amy in reservations, also a special shout to Eric who made sure we were never without a drink in our hands!) couldn't do enough for us. We were made to feel so special and no task was too big or small. The food was amazing (so many of our guests commented on this) the rooms were gorgeous but most of all it was the service provided that really separates Rathsallagh from other venues. From the time I checked into the Bridal prep room on the morning of our Wedding I was really made to feel so at home. I would highly recommend Rathsallagh to anyone planning their Wedding.

We could not recommend Rathsallagh highly enough - the venue for the ceremony and the venue for the dinner, the food, the staff, the service, the bedrooms and the warm welcome. Rathsallagh Reservations and Wedding Teams took all our requests and feedback on board and nothing was ever too much! We were thrilled that we made the right choice and we've had nothing but praise from our guests also - the food in particular went down an absolute treat as did the roaring fires. All the little touches they made added greatly to our experience. Our top tips for other couples include: Be organised when it comes to room allocation - it helps to know what guests would like to stay before sending out invitations! Definitely avail of the opportunity to drop items down the day before. The bridal prep room is well worth the investment, it makes things much easier and reduces the pressure on family and the bridal party. Make sure to do a menu tasting - not only is it great fun but it helps to get to know staff and also to know what the flow of the meal will be. Bring a change of shoes for any photos under the fabulous tree at night time - particularly if wet! We had such an amazing day in Rathsallagh as did our families and friends - very jealous of those of you who get to go through the same experience in the future!!!

We had a fabulous relaxed day in Rathsallagh where nothing was a problem. We both got ready on site and it was well worth it. The bridal room has absolutely everything a bridal party needs including prosecco, a light breakfast and lunch. There was plenty of space for 5 of us to get ready and for my dad to sit and relax with a coffee. The venue itself is so aesthetically pleasing with photo opportunities at every corner. We had a wet day but it didn't matter. I particularly loved the sitting rooms for group photos as it provides a relaxed, more intimate group shot. The place was cosy with fires lit and we enjoyed delivering our speeches as husband and wife by the fire before we went to dinner. The food was AMAZING with lots of our guests saying it was the nicest meal they ever had. The staff were helpful and accommodating and nothing was a problem. The rooms and lodges were also a hit with the guests. I could not recommend Rathsallagh Country House enough. We had the best day from start to finish. We recently had our wedding at Rathsallagh house, our third time lucky after covid postponements, and I can truly say it was worth the wait. Rathsallagh was everything we could have imagined and more, our dream wedding venue. We booked back in 2018 for a 2020 wedding and like many others, had to change dates a couple of times. Joe was so accommodating every single time and always did his best to help us in any way he could. We live in Australia and he would call us and take the time to talk through different date options etc each time we had to postpone. He was nothing short of amazing to us. We finally got to have our big day at the end of October and we were blown away. Catherine, Stephen and the whole wedding team at Rathsallagh are outstanding and always go above and beyond to help, nothing ever seemed to be an issue and they were always happy to accommodate our requests. The venue itself is magical, from the big long drive up through the grounds with the beautiful trees to the quaint rooms that each have their own character, there are so many beautiful places to take photos. Not to mention the big tree that’s lit up with fairy lights at night. We were so looking forward to getting our picture under the tree, we can’t wait to see how it turned out when we get our photos back from our photographer. The food was incredible, so many guests have said to us that the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. What’s also special is you and your guests have the house to yourselves for the whole day/night, it’s very intimate and the staff at Rathsallagh tell you to make it your home for the time you are there. If we were to do it all again tomorrow we would get married here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Joe and the whole team at Rathsallagh.

athsallagh made us feel at ease right from the very beginning. Really felt taken care of and they went above and beyond for us. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer venue. I don’t usually write reviews but Rathsallagh did such a fantastic job I couldn’t not say something. Rathsallagh couldn’t have done more for us on our wedding day. All of our guests said they loved the food and the wine which was really important to us. Just wish we could do it all over again. Professional, friendly and a beautiful location.

Rathsallagh is the ultimate dream venue for a wedding with its picturesque romantic setting to the amazing staff on site. From the very beginning of the tour of the venue with Stephen we just knew Rathsallagh was the one for us, the house, the reception, the guest rooms - all stunning. From the initial booking of the wedding to the confirmation of the finer details on the lead up was done with ease with the team, any amount of questions was never an issue and they always responded so professionally and quickly. The reservation staff went above and beyond in helping ensure our guests staying were allocated rooms suitable for their requirements and even with a few changes we had to make to rooms it was never an issue and done seamlessly. We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding back in 2021 due to covid and the team were so understanding and so helpful through the whole process of selecting another date in 2022. On the big day a very thoughtful text message was sent to both myself and husband from the team saying how much they were looking forward to celebration which is a lovely touch. When we arrived we were treated like family to big hugs and smiles from all the staff and it just gave it a lovely warm atmosphere to the day. Everyone that attended had the same thing to say about how friendly & helpful the staff were, how stunning the house & guest rooms were also. The food on the day was absolutely amazing, could not be faulted with plenty to go around. Again thank you to the whole team at Rathsallagh for given us the wedding of our dreams.

Rathsallagh House reminded just how beautiful the Irish countryside really is and the commanding charm and exclusivity to our bespoke and unconventional event to remember. It is indeed a very special place where we as a couple were able to stamp our personal taste, details and styles. Our wedding was about so much more than me / Noel and Colm saying “I do.” It was a two days with friends and families. A celebrations of very diverse communities and clans. It was definitely a great start to hold our wedding moments in Rathsallagh House where we celebrated it with pure, spontaneous joy of the proceeding of the days with noted perfections. Everyone in Rathsallagh were committed to us, we met them with the most effervescent smiles and genuine Irish hospitality—a reflection that everyone valued their work and it naturally reverberated into fun , easy and most-relax venue like our own homes for two days for our guests and it became third, then we loved it so much we stayed fourth! We love receiving the attentions and even hugs— it meant a lot for us! Rathsallagh House is an epitome of natural Irish charm and style, distinctive rural, picturesque, refreshingly bucolic, dreamy we called our wedding “Falling in love at Rathsallagh” To our Rathsallagh wedding team to Joe, Joe’s mum, Andrea, Stephen, Aoife, Louise , Sandra, Benny, Samran, probably we forgot so many names, our apologies! and especially to our Wonder Woman Olivia and again to all the amazing staff thank you! Everything was smooth as velvety! Your attention to details we truly admired. Mind you our attention to details are so precise that you have outdone everything. Thank you for giving us the best time and thank you for looking after us all. You made our days more than what we desired. The smooth booking and check-ins, the opulent and rooms that so full of characters, the top notch services, the cleanliness and high standard, beautiful fairways, food on both of the days were presented very very well and tasted so good that everyone still talking about Rathsallagh. You even went beyond by gluing together my guest shoe and fixing my tables, and decorating the drawing rooms for day two. Kids were having off- the menu pastas and the second helpings …oh our happy tummy! The only thing that we do not like was to leave Rsthsallagh… in our hearts you become a big part of our happiest day. We thank you for all your wonderful team. We will never forget! Rathsallagh is an absolutely amazing venue and we cannot speak more highly of the entire team there. From start to finish they were extremely friendly, accommodating and available to discuss anything we needed during our wedding experience with them. The food was fantastic along with all the staff who worked on both days of our wedding weekend. So many of our guests commented on both of these which was great for us to hear. There is literally not one negative thing I can say about Rathsallagh and the wedding team and staff. We had an experience I could only imagine of before. From the beautiful venue to the amazing food I just can't say enough. The resounding thing overall and the biggest compliment I can give them is their service. From day one on the first meet-up with Joe you are made feel so so special and important. The wedding team works with you on everything and is so organized and attentive. Service over the 2 days we were there was also second to none. All our guests commented on it. We will have the fondest of memories for the rest of lives and are so relieved and grateful that we chose Rathsallagh as our venue

The staff were very friendly and helpful in the build up and the day itself. They were very accomodating to our wishes, for example the speeches outside on the lawn before dinner. The food was fabulous and our guests are still talking about it and the lovely rooms 3 weeks later! We had an amazing day and would definitely recommend.

From the minute we stepped foot in the door with Catherine we just knew it was the place for us. Rathsallagh is such a fabulous venue. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful throughout the entire process....they literally couldn't do enough for us. Always at the end of the phone when we had questions. And the food. The food was AMAZING. Probably the highlight of Kieran's day ???? so many of our guests commented on how amazing both the staff and food were. Our day was so perfect. We can't wait to come back again soon.

We had a 2 day wedding weekend in Rathsallagh House in September 2022 and they turned our dream wedding into a reality. Everything was seamless from the prep, to the ceremony, to the evening. The venue is absolutely breathtaking with lots of key areas to get beautiful photos from the Secret Garden to the Orangery. What really makes Rathsallagh special, is the amazing staff & the owner Joe. They really went above and beyond to ensure everything went perfect on the day. They were so accommodating, kind and attentive even to our dog Bailey! They made us all feel at home for the weekend. The food deserves nothing but a 5 star rating as well! Our guests are still raving about it! Thank you Joe, Catherine, Benny, Stephen & the rest of the amazing Wedding Team.

Rathsallagh provided us with the most amazing wedding day. From start to finish we could not fault them. During covid we decided to push out our wedding date and the team at rathsallagh could not have been more accomadating to us. Unbelievable service! We were left speechless by the professionalism and attention to detail that was given to us on our wedding day at Rathsallagh House. All of our guests were blown away from the magnificent venue and the friendly but professional staff. The food that was served was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The rooms that we stayed in were beautiful and immaculate. Some of our guests loved it so much, they are planning to go back for a break whenever there is availability. We really hope we get invited back for their yearly couples night that we have heard about. I wish we could do it all again. Thank you so much Rathsallagh House our day wouldn’t have been the same without yous.

We got married in Rathsallagh on 26th August. From when we first looked at the venue to the end of the wedding, the staff were so helpful, supportive, kind and efficient in responding to any queries! All our guests commented on how lovely the staff were and how great the food was! The rooms are very big in size and we were able to accommodate the majority of our guests on site, the taxi service to take guests home staying offsight was so useful and didn't leave anyone behind. The grounds are stunning and the dining room is a perfect size for a big wedding. Also for the brides the getting ready room is fabulous! - So bright and spacious! Also our co ordinator Benny handed us two glasses of prosecco as soon as the ceremony was over which was a lovely gesture to calm the nerves - they did everything we asked perfectly and there's unlikely to be any big hiccups on the day as the staff are all so experienced.

We cannot recommend Rathsallagh House enough to any couples looking for their perfect wedding venue. We got married on 18th August 2022 and had our day 2 BBQ there on 19th August and everything from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. Our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was (especially the beef on the wedding day and the pig on the spit for day 2 - unbelievable!) Our guests were also delighted with the extra portions of food offered and the gorgeous wine. The staff could not be more friendly and welcoming to all our family and friends and they really created such a warm and relaxing atmosphere that set the tone for our wedding. We had 180 guests and the Pavillion was the perfect setting. We also had our ceremony in the granary which was beautiful and our guests commented what a great space it was for the ceremony and loved how they could walk straight into the drinks reception. My bridal party got ready at Rathsallagh on the morning of the wedding, the bridal prep room is stunning and breakfast and light lunch provided was delicious. The grounds are beautiful and there are so many places to get photographs. We cannot recommend Rathsallagh enough as an amazing wedding venue - I just wish we could do it all again!

We had our wedding in Rathsallagh House on August 17th 2022 after having to postpone due to Covid. Catherine, Joe, Olivia, Benny and all the team were all amazing from start to finish! The gardens are so so beautiful and we managed to have our drinks reception in the walled garden! The food was superb, especially the beef! So many of our guests commented on the amazing service - professional, kind and nothing was an issue or to big an ask! I think this is down to the fact that they have such long standing employees which must mean that they are good employers too. We had under 190 guests on the day and the atmostphere was electric as the Pavillion is very well laid out! Although I would say 150 guests would be better spaced! Rooms are fab! And really special compared to just a standard hotel room. Would highly recommend for any new wedding couples on the search for a country style exclusive venue!

The whole team at Rathsallagh went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding day in August. They were always at the other end of the phone for any query we had and were so helpful in the run up to our big day. We had over 180 guests and each one was extremely impressed with food, the beautiful grounds where we had our drinks reception and the amazing staff, one of our guests commented that she felt like a VIP when she checked in! Food was an important aspect for us and all our guests were blown away by the quality of the food and indeed the taste! We were also particularly impressed by the staff, whether it was behind the bar in the pavilion, front of house or waiting staff, each one couldn't have done enough for us, thank you all for a superb day, we're only sad we can't do it all over again!

100/10 - exceeded our expectations in every way. All our family and friends raved about the venue, the food, the setting, the rooms and the STAFF - the most attentive and professional staff that went above and beyond for us! Special diets were catered for beyond expectation - gluten free goujons and sausages brought out with evening meal. The absolute best day!

Where to start, from the beginning I suppose! I first enquired with Rathsallagh House in January 2019 after finding them on a web search. I loved the venue from the pictures alone and marked it top of my list to view, I sent in an enquiry form and Joe the owner responded with all the information I needed to start my planning, he was so lovely to deal with and very quick with his responses to any queries I had. Fast forward to June, after the birth of my daughter that March, and I finally got to view the venue with my Mother. It was exactly what I wanted and Catherine who was showing us around that day was what sealed the deal for me, so down to earth, a natural people person and really genuine. They were having an open day the following month that she told me to bring my partner to and then settle on a date once we were both happy, there was no push to book straight away. Myself and Paul went out the following month and bumped into Stephen, another coordinator, whilst we were wandering around, we had a lovely little chat with him and I knew Rathsallagh was definitely the venue for us with Paul agreeing after only 10 minutes in the venue. We booked for August 2021. I excitedly started putting all my plans in place and then covid hit on March 2020 putting us both out of work for numerous months, I contacted Joe that July about postponing my date, even though we were a year out from the Wedding he totally understood what we were going through, hospitality was closed down in Ireland and none of us knew when we'd be back to work properly, he moved us to July 31st 2022 without any issues at all. As the wedding came closer we had our menu tasting and the food was just phenomenal, we had email correspondence then up until the actual wedding and we were never left waiting with any queries we had, the whole experience was just so easy, they made it feel like we were their only wedding despite 4 other weddings being on the same week as us, never mind the many others they had booked in. That brings us to the day of the Wedding. It was one of the best days of my life!!! Stephen met us as we arrived at the venue as husband and wife having had our ceremony in my parish church. Joe also came to congratulate us which was a lovely touch. It rained that day so my plans for an outdoor drinks reception had to change but it didn't dampen the day at all, drinks and canapés were served in the dining room and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff was top class, we took our photos in the orangey which is a beautiful background for indoor photos with the flowers and plants giving an outdoor feel. We were seated in the pavilion for dinner, Stephen brought me into the room prior to the guests and it was just magical, I had a fairytale theme for the Wedding and it exceeded my expectations. The food at dinner matched the tasting, being exceptional, all plates were consistent aswell throughout the tables. Seana breezed through the dinner service and touched base with me throughout checking on both ourselves and our children to ensure we were all okay. The whole day went seamlessly. We had our day 2 in the venue also and it was great to get such wonderful feedback from my guests throughout the day, the BBQ on the day 2 was by far the best BBQ I've ever had, we opted for the pig on the Spit and everyone raved about it. Another mention has to go to the actual bedrooms, each with a different quirky design, they were magnificent. I could of stayed there forever and was really sad to go back to reality after it was all over. I will definitely be back again and can't thank the entire team at Rathsallagh enough for giving us our happily ever after xxx love Alison and Paul xxx

Rathsallagh is an unbelievable venue. Very special and unique, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous - it really is a hidden gem. From the run up to the day until we left the wedding coordinators & staff couldn’t have done enough for us. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating and made our lives extremely easy. We really didn't have to ask for much as they are ultimate professionals at what they do and had everything in hand unless we needed something personal. The food and service was absolutely amazing, you will not find nicer food than this venue and the amount of food and wine provided was incredible. Every single guest at our wedding could only say the most wonderful things about the staff, the food, the wine and how absolutely stunning the venue is. The only downside to Rathsallagh is you don't want to leave! We will be forever grateful to everyone at Rathsallagh for making our day as magical as possible. I only wish we could do it all again. We literally cannot thank you enough.

From the first video call with Joe in June 2020 we fell in love with Rathsallagh House! Neither of us had attended a wedding in the venue before but we had been highly recommended Rathsallagh House when we mentioned to people that we were thinking of looking there. Joe, Catherine, Stephen, Benny and everyone that we dealt with while planning our wedding from Switzerland and throughout the pandemic were wonderful. The Rathsallagh teams (wedding, reception, reservation, food, bar - everyone) are so professional and amazing at what they do. Jade and Katie looked after us and the entire wedding party once we arrived and we can’t thank them enough! Rathsallagh House felt like our and our guests home for the wedding. Our guests are still talking about the venue, the food, the staff and the wonderful hospitality. We had our wedding on the 13th of July at Rathsallagh house. From start to finish it was just amazing. The wedding planners were super helpful and always answered my endless queries. We had our ceremony in the gardens and it looked and was so beautiful, the sun just shone down on us. We got the most amazing photos throughout the grounds and gardens of Rathsallagh. We couldn’t have picked a better place to hold both the ceremony and the reception. The staff were amazing, the food was amazing. Every guest I talked to that day and since the wedding have nothing but great things to say about the food, the service and the whole Rathsallagh experience. It’s a little bit of heaven tucked away in the most beautiful setting. I would absolutely recommend Rathsallagh to any bride and groom getting married. I can’t wait to get back down there for a stay as husband and wife.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Rathsallagh gave us the happiest, most perfect day of our lives. Not only is Rathsallagh House the most beautiful venue but the staff are second to none. Nothing was too much for the staff, Joe and the team go above and beyond and we cannot thank them enough.

We could not recommend Rathsallagh enough. We had our wedding there on the 07.07.22. Everything from venue, food, staff they were amazing. Nothing was too big or small. We had an absolute ball on our wedding day as did our guests. Our guests are still talking about the food.

From the moment we set foot in Rathsallagh to view the venue we fell in love, and the level of service and kindness we received only confirmed to us that we had made the right choice. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish and we credit that entirely to the staff of the venue. Every single member of staff was so kind and could not do enough for our guests - no request was too big or too small, every single staff member had a smile on their face, and they even anticipated the needs of some of our older guests. The food and wine was amazing - we have had so many compliments on the food from our guests, especially they fact that they came out with extra beef and halibut at the end of dinner and offered people seconds. Our wedding ceremony under the oak tree was so magical and we couldn't imagine getting married in a more beautiful setting.

We had our wedding in Rathsallagh in June (2022). We had a fantastic experience from our first viewing of Rathsallagh up to our check out after the wedding. We were shown around by Stephen (wedding team) back in 2020. The moment we stepped into Rathsallagh, we could not stop thinking about it and ended up securing our wedding date that day. Dates book up fast, so it is a good idea to get in touch sooner rather than later. We were made feel at home during our tour, Stephen was friendly and helpful. We had certain questions about things we wanted for our big day, and Stephen was so accommodating and came back to us so fast after our visit outlining how they could facilitate our requests. We were able to discuss extras we wanted to add to our wedding package like cocktails etc, and the wedding team were more than happy to talk us through our options. In the lead up to the wedding, as most married couples will know, wedding planning can really kick off and can feel a little overwhelming. The wedding team at Rathsallagh were so helpful and took the stress out of the venue side of things. I felt I could pick up the phone to them anytime (Catherine, Benny, Olivia were all amazing and I am forgetting some names I know!). The reservations team were also so helpful with any queries I had. They were happy to offer recommendations but also listen to what we as a couple wanted. On the day of the wedding, the staff really outdid themselves. I got ready in the bridal suite that morning which I would highly recommend. Olivia our wedding co-ordinator on the day and the other staff made myself and my bridal party feel like royalty. The took such good care of us, and especially my dad who was given plenty of tea and sandwiches while waiting for us to get ready! Olivia was a calm face amongst all the busy prep and had a smile and glass of bubbles for us when we got back from the church! Our guests all commented on how friendly and fun the bar staff and waiting staff were, which made such a difference. The venue itself speaks for itself, the grounds, house and Pavillion room are gorgeous, classy and elegant, yet rustic,-I believe perfect for a wedding anytime of year, our guests loved the decor of the bedrooms and the grounds are gorgeous for photos. Good food was a big priority for us. Again, the food was fantastic, we couldn't stop talking about our menu choices after the menu tasting and it did not disappoint.. I am still dreaming of our wedding dinner!! It really is a great venue for foodies. The plan of the Pavillion room meant that people had easy access to bedrooms, toilets, the bar, the smoking/outdoor area which is a big plus and not always the case with all reception rooms. There are also multiple areas to host the drinks reception which is great. Beautiful ceremony room onsite, however we opted for a local church which was within 10 mins drive. Rathsallagh provided us with a list of recommended suppliers which was so handy. I cannot put into words how great a day the wedding team at Rathsallagh gave us, we loved every moment and wish we could do it all again. I would highly recommend booking in for a viewing as you will fall in love the minute you drive up the lane! We cannot wait to return for an anniversary dinner.

Rathsallagh was a perfect choice for our wedding day on June 6th, we loved every minute of our day. The grounds were a beautiful backdrop for our photos and outdoor ceremony. The food was delicious, all our guests were raving about it. They especially loved that they brought around seconds and that the fillet steaks were all cooked to order. The lemon tart dessert was out of this world! A few guests mentioned it was the nicest dessert they'd ever had. The staff on the day were so attentive and we didn't worry about a thing. The pavilion looked magical with the greenery and fairy lights decorating the ceiling. The accommodation was lovely, each room is unique and just gorgeous. The breakfast the following morning was a real highlight also. Our guests, and ourselves included, were very impressed with the delicious spread and wide-ranging options for breakfast. The resident's bar was another highlight which kept the party going until late. Thank you to the entire team at Rathsallagh for a fantastic day.

Highly highly recommend this venue! A big thanks to Catherine and team - absolutely everything form start to finish was just fantastic, not only is it one of the most beautiful venues I've ever been in, with amazing food, backdrop, location, exclusivity, but the staff are just oustanding - from early stages of planning, to the menu tasting experience, to the support in the lead up to the big day, and to the level of attentiveness on the day itself truly was exceptional. They have an amazing team out there and could not fault them. On the day itself the staff checked in with me throughout the day to ensure we were happy with everything, if we wanted any food/drink (as we were very busy talking to everyone) they were willing to jump in and get us anything we needed. they really have this whole business down to a tea, and would recommend them highly to anyone. And to top it all off, the day after the wedding one of the staff members dropped off all the lost and found from the night to us in our house which was about a half hour away. They made you feel like it was your home for the day, but equally made sure you didn't have to ask for anything. Thank you so much to the team!! I really hope I will get to attend another wedding at this venue as a guest in the future so i can experience it again!

Our wedding day was absolutely phenomenal. The staff at Rathsallagh could not have been more professional, helpful, kind and caring right throughout the planning stage and also on the day. The most amazing, personal, top quality service in the wedding industry. All of our guests couldn’t get over how fantastic the venue was, from the personal greeting on arrival, to the reception staff to the food and dinner service, late night service and the breakfast the following morning. Rathsallagh is hands down top of the league when it comes to weddings. They know how to manage every scenario and make it all look effortless. They made my Husband and I feel like royalty and they treated our family in the very same manner.

We had an amazing day in Rathsallagh. The staff were so helpful - all of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was, how delicious the food was and how helpful and friendly everyone was. We were lucky enough to have a sunny and dry day so we had our ceremony in the secret garden - it was stunning. The rooms are beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better service - I am dying to return as a guest to another wedding to experience it all again!

The very first day my wife and I arrived at Rathsallagh House we knew we had found the right venue for us. From the spectacular grounds and the incredible team that runs this venue, Rathsallagh oozes class and charm. A number of other venues we visited did not have a personal or authentic touch we felt. The Rathsallagh team were the opposite. Genuine people who love their roles and believe in what they are doing. The food we had on the day in my view was the standard of a top class restaurant, quite a feat when serving +100 people. We and all our guests were treated like royalty by the Rathsallagh team from start to finish, and we can’t thank them enough for everything they did for us. A truly special place, and without question in my view the finest wedding venue in the country. Thanks to Catherine and Stephen and the rest of the team for everything. We look forward to our next visit which will likely be next year!

We had the most magical day for our wedding in Rathsallagh. The staff team went above and beyond with every aspect. Our coordinator on the day was Stephen and we couldn't speak more highly of him! From the day we booked Rathsallagh we knew we were in good hands and wouldn't hesitate recommending them in the slightest! Everything from the venue to the rooms to the food was out of this world and we'd celebrate the day all over again if we could!

Our wedding day was everything we could have hoped for and more, in no small part due to the exceptional organisation and dedication to high quality service at Rathsallagh House. We were really impressed by every aspect of the wedding preparation (including two postponements due to Covid restrictions). The Wedding Team were very accommodating and responded quickly to any questions we had in the lead-up ensuring there was no stress. We also felt very at ease on the day thanks to the great communication and attention to detail from the wedding team. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the flow of the day and that they were never hungry or thirsty and really enjoyed the quality of the food and wine that was served. Several of our guests have been in touch again since to reiterate these compliments and express just how good a venue Rathsallagh House is for weddings. As we had a Civil ceremony and photography on site, Rathsallagh was the complete package for us and we have absolutely no regrets. It meant that once we and our guests arrived, we were taken care of and could relax for the day, which was exactly what we were aiming for. It also meant that we got to spend as much time as possible with our guests and the intimacy of Rathsallagh House as a private venue is perfect for this reason. Our guests that stayed the night were delighted with the spacious rooms and raved about the breakfast the following morning! Suffice to say the wedding team certainly did their best for us and we and our guests enjoyed our Wedding Day at Rathsallagh House immensely. We would happily recommend Rathsallagh House as the ideal wedding venue.

We got married in Rathsallagh in April 2022 and honestly could not recommend both the venue and the team highly enough! We could not recommend Rathsallagh enough! The staff, food and overall experience was amazing! They were so accommodating and always had someone available to answer any questions we had. Even though we didn’t have the best weather it took nothing away from the venue. They made us feel relaxed throughout! We had our dog with us on the day and the staff were all very accommodating with him as well. We had an amazing day and could not have done it without the support of the staff at Rathsallagh!

Due to my background in hospitality, I was very specific on some things for my wedding and Rathsallagh were so accommodating on everything we wanted and never made me feel like I was being a bridezilla even though I'm sure at times I probably was. The day ran so smooth and I literally could not pick one fault. Everybody we encountered was lovely and helpful and we are just so happy we chose Rathsallagh for our day and all our guests loved it also.

The level of service and support was out of this world. From the very first time we viewed the venue we knew we were in safe hands. Everything is looked after so well. I used the gorgeous room they have for hair and make-up the morning of the wedding and it was just ideal! The food was absolutely delicious - they catered for everyone's needs and the food was made to order! The table service was exceptional. We had the best day of our lives! And the team at Rathsallagh made it all so easy for us. We cannot thank them enough!

We booked from overseas during the pandemic and we couldn't have been made more comfortable by the team who helped in every way possible. We made the right choice in picking Rathsallagh as our wedding venue. From the first day we went to Rathsallagh to meet Stephen and discuss the wedding to the day itself our experience with the venue and the team there was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and they were on hand all the way through with updates etc as we got nearer to the wedding date. The day itself was perfect. The guests and ourselves were greeted and checked into the rooms and then straight to the drinks reception all within minutes! So no unnecessary waiting around. The reception room, the food was absolutely fantastic. All our guests were bowled over by the place and many are planning trips back in the near future. I couldn’t recommend Rathsallagh highly enough - if you are thinking of it as a venue for your wedding, it will exceed your expectations. It certainly did ours.

Rathsallagh House was simply practically perfect in every way. They went above and beyond what we expected and we felt we were treated like VIPs. Nothing we suggested was denied, if they thought of an alternative way it was discussed and sorted. Catherine took care of us on the day, she was absolutely superb and Stephen was always at hand to help, and has a great manner about him. After meeting Catherine in February 2021 and getting great first impressions from the place, Anthony and I knew we didn't need to view any other wedding venues. Our wedding weekend exceeded our expectations in so many ways. I think the fact that the staff are all so attentive and conscientious is what sets Rathsallagh apart from most other venues we've had experience of. To name a few Catherine, Olivia, Stephen, Justyna, Dylan and Katie were brilliant but every single person who looked after us including the bar staff couldn't have been better. Staff members had an amazing ability to be inconspicuously working in the background and then be there beside you when (or just before!) you wanted something! Many of our guests commented on the quality of the food and drinks on offer. We had a second day at Rathsallagh and the food which was provided on that day was equally delicious! It goes without saying that the grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained. The house itself is so warm and inviting and the fires seemed to be burning all the time we were there creating a lovely, cosy atmosphere. Just a lovely experience from start to finish!

When we first visited Rathsallagh on a rainy Monday evening back in February 2019 we were completely taken aback with Rathsallagh and just knew it was the perfect venue for us. Throughout Covid everyone was a pleasure to deal with and so helpful with rearranging our dates and it even turned out better that we got a Saturday for our new date, allowing us to have our day two celebrations also in Rathsallagh. We were really looking forward to our wedding day but it completely exceeded our expectations. It really was the most perfect day and a lot of this is down to the staff and venue itself. Lots of guests commented on how beautiful the house and grounds are and couldn’t say enough good things about the food. I know lots of people will be returning at some point to try the lunch menu. From the moment we arrived on our wedding day nothing was an issue. Stephen, Olivia and all staff members ensured we were relaxed and advising us when necessary. The whole atmosphere was so relaxed representing us perfectly! All throughout the weekend we heard stories of how your staff went above and beyond for our guests. We had a couple of guests attending that had additional needs and these were met with such ease and little fuss. We experienced this ourselves on many occasions throughout the weekend. Rathsallagh House will always be a special place to us and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future. We’ve no doubt that many of our guests will also be returning.

We got married in Rathsallagh House in December 2021. When we went to see Rathsallagh House in 2019 we absolutely loved the homely feel of Rathsallagh. It struck a chord with us that all of the staff in Rathsallagh were local and had worked there for years. Every member of the team that we met was welcoming and so helpful. Our wedding was postponed for a year due to the virus. Rathsallagh kept in contact with us throughout the entire process. We were delighted to see that the function room was redecorated during the lockdown too. The week before our wedding was stressful as the new variant wiped out guests and suppliers. However, Stephen and Catherine were just amazing. We had to change our table plans on numerous occasions and there was no problem. The day of the wedding was just such a good experience. All of our family and friends commented on the staff in Rathsallagh. They were blown away with how helpful everyone was. The food lived up to its reputation, both the dinner and breakfast. We would have no hesitation in recommending Rathsallagh House. Joe, Catherine, Stephen and the entire team were a pleasure to work with.

We couldn't recommend Rathsallagh enough. From the very first day we met them, they were helpful and courteous and couldn't do enough for us. Barry's sister got married at Rathsallagh House 9 years ago and had such an amazing day they recommended it to us - we chose it because of the renowned quality of the hospitality and food, the beautiful house and grounds; and the fact that it's full of character and feels so homely and personal (which was apparent even with a virtual viewing). Rathsallagh more than exceeded our expectations. The venue was exceptional, especially for a Christmas wedding when the grounds and house feel extraordinarily festive and magical. The food and hospitality were outstanding, our guests were constantly raving about both. Some commented that they have been to 5-star hotels and the service/food was better at Rathsallagh. The most important thing Rathsallagh did for us was to ensure that it felt as “normal” as possible for us during Covid times and that it was everything we wanted from our wedding weekend. To this end, they were extremely flexible during the organisation. Catherine at Rathsallagh was exceptional throughout our wedding planning and made sure that we enjoyed the wedding day we hoped for. She was constantly in contact with us and was helpful and calm, which really helped our stress levels when restrictions kept changing. We know she was under a lot of pressure as she had numerous couples to work with during the run-up to our wedding, but she never took her eye off the ball. She is an outstanding wedding coordinator - flexible, committed, solutions-focussed, and a lovely person who genuinely cares about the couples she works with. A sign of her commitment is that she worked the day of our wedding even though she was meant to be on a day off. She was 100% "on it" on the day, making sure that everything went off without a hitch and everyone had what they needed (mainly Champagne) - it was faultless. An incredible bit of commitment that shows she is willing to go “above-and-beyond” for the couples she works with. Thank you so much.

We had our wedding in Rathsallagh on 9th December 2021…. Our 3rd date!! We first viewed the venue in summer of 2018 & with all of the changes we were a little bit worried we may not love it as much anymore… we were so wrong!! Through all of the uncertainty and changes the whole team was absolutely amazing to deal with, a special mention to Catherine who was always so positive & did anything she could to help us! We got married back in March during lockdown so we decided to have a short intimate ceremony in Rathsallagh. The granary was just so perfect. All of our family & friends said what a gorgeous setting it was. Everyone had such a lovely relaxed time surrounded by the fires and lovely decor for our drinks reception, with mince pies & mulled wine as a winter treat! From start to finish the staff on the day were phenomenal… each and every guest could not stop raving about the food & the service! We genuinely have absolutely nothing bad to say about any aspect of our day, the venue, the staff, the food, nothing! We were so relaxed and everything ran like clockwork. Honestly, we had the most perfect day and it was absolutely worth the wait, we even managed to get out to that amazing tree before our reception for some photos! Thank you again to everyone at Rathsallagh for making our day so so perfect!

We had our Wedding in Rathsallagh House in December 2021. I don’t have enough words to say how exceptional our experience was. We had a certain expectation & Rathsallagh exceeded it at all turns. Joe the owner, Catherine & Stephen from the Wedding team, chefs, bar staff, front desk, housekeeping…the whole team make Rathsallagh the special place it is. Our guests haven’t stopped talking about Rathsallagh since. Please do not hesitate in booking your Wedding in Rathsallagh, you will not be disappointed.

We cannot recommend Rathsallagh enough, joe was very welcoming on the day we visited and we just loved everything about it and booked it on the day. We dealt with stephen for most of the year while planning went ahead. Stephen was quick and responsive always on the other end of the phone and nothing was a problem. The girls in reception and accommodation were amazing while we allocated guests to rooms in the house the week before. The venue is yours for the day and everyone really makes you feel welcome and at home. We used the dressing room to get ready that morning and we had a lovely breakfast and champagne and lots of refreshments, they have a beautiful cozy bright room for your wedding party to get ready in which was definitely a highlight for us girls. Food was delicious and all our guests commented on how lovely their rooms were and how tasty the crispy pork belly was. Venue and food were our most important factor and Rathsallagh exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect

Our wedding in Rathsallagh couldn't have gone any better and was such a great day. Prior to the actual wedding day, we had to postpone our wedding three times due to Covid-19. Although it was obviously a stressful time for Rathsallagh, the wedding team were excellent throughout and were very flexible and relaxed with regards to making changes. With the lead up to the day, Stephen, Catherine and Joe were brilliant with accommodating questions and calls and were able to provide us with an update whenever needed including letting us deliver items the day before! For the actual day, it was flawless and all of our guests commented how wonderful of a venue it was - each room had something about it and the grounds looked amazing too for photos. The food was well renown before we choose Rathsallagh and again this was such a popular aspect to the day where everyone loved the beef or seabass! I couldn't speak highly enough of the venue, staff and all aspects to the day. We will always remember Rathsallagh and can't wait to visit again!

From the moment we first arrived at Rathsallagh, we fell in love with the gorgeous country house and its grounds. When we met the owner, Joe, our minds were put at ease, and we knew Rathsallagh was going to be the perfect venue for us. Throughout all the coordination and date changes due to Covid, they never disappointed. We had a unique 2-day wedding with a lot of multi-cultural aspects, and they took them all on with flexibility, openness and enthusiasm. Our wedding coordinator, Stephen, was an absolute star, he was calm, kind, understanding, and organised throughout planning and including our big days. He never made us feel stressed about anything. With a lot of family and friends flying in from abroad, we wanted to make sure they were completely looked after – and they were well beyond our expectations. The entire wedding team and staff were incredible, especially Catherine, Willie, and Seana. And we couldn't have asked for a better chef with Abhi! All the food he and his team prepared was delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. We wouldn't change a thing, they were without a doubt, the 2 best, most magical days of our lives, and we really can't thank Rathsallagh enough. All our guests genuinely told us that our wedding was the best and most personal one they had ever been to, we are so happy and would highly recommend Rathsallagh to anyone planning a wedding (or any other big event)!

We will be forever thankful that we chose Rathsallagh House as the venue for our wedding in September 2021. The house, the food and the atmosphere were all perfect and it genuinely felt like our home for the two days. Having read the reviews and visited the venue on a few occasions prior to our reception, we knew it was going to be of a very high standard, but as the weekend unfolded our expectations were exceeded time and again. We'd a two day event in Rathsallagh and we would have booked a week if we could! It's a magical venue that feels like your own home creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout. The staff go above and beyond and are extremely helpful. The food is outstanding and there is so much of it to go around whether it's the canapes, the main meal, evening food, breakfast or the BBQ we had the following day. We were very fortunate to be able to proceed with our original date, I can't imagine all the swapping and amends that other couples experienced but the Wedding team at Rathsallagh are the best to deal with and nothing seemed to be issue. I'd highly recommend booking for two days if your budget allows you as you won't want to leave after one night. I can't wait to return already and stay in a different room, every room is stunning and worth a revisit! Thanks again to Joe, Stephen and the rest of the team for the best weekend of our lives xxx

Where to begin with my thoughts on our Sept 9th wedding at Rathsallagh... Catherine, Stephen, Joe and the entire team were outstanding and we couldn't have wished for a better celebration. Absolutely everyone on the team from start to finish were exceptional and I cannot recommended them more. The level of kindness and consideration we received during the planning of all THREE dates (thanks COVID!) made us feel like the only people to ever get married at Rathsallagh. Our guests were amazed at how beautiful the rooms/grounds were, how the beef was cooked to everyone's preference, and how incredibly sound all the team were all day. Everyone commented on how chilled out I was all day and it's all down to the work everyone on the team was doing behind the scenes. Such a magnificent venue too - we haven't stopped smiling since :)

Rathsallagh was the perfect venue for us. Not only is it absolutely stunning, but the team there was so helpful and responsive every step of the way. The most important thing to us was to feel relaxed and be able to fully enjoy our wedding day, and they made that possible. Every part of the day went smoothly - starting with the wonderful dressing room that they had prepared with breakfast foods for the girls. Onto our 'first look' photos before we left for the church ceremony, and back to Rathsallagh for the reception in their lovely garden complete with canapes and garden games, and finally a delicious dinner (kudos to the chefs because it's not easy to serve 100 people at once and have the food still be delicious!). Our wedding coordinator checked in with us throughout the day to make sure we kept our timing and prompt us whenever it was time for the next thing - e.g. call for dinner, speeches, cake cutting, first dance. Really cannot recommend Rathsallagh enough if you're looking for a wedding venue. Beautiful grounds, great food, and lovely people.

We had our wedding reception in Rathsallagh on 1st September 2021 and truly could not have asked for a better venue. The beautiful location, top quality food were excellent but its the people that truly set Rathsallagh apart. From the first viewing right through to the day itself, the team are in a league of their own and made everything so easy. The wedding team and every member of staff were so friendly, and attentive on the day, making everyone feel so welcome. (with our guests still commenting on how lovely the staff were, each with lots of examples of them going above and beyond!) We would 100% recommend Rathsallagh as a venue to anyone, our only regret is that we can't do the day all over again! We couldn't of been happier with Rathsallagh House as the venue for our wedding. Originally we were to get married in March 2020, two weeks before the country went into lockdown. From then until the actual day 18 months later and third time lucky, Rathsallagh staff could not of been more helpful. They honoured our original contract and kept us in the loop the whole time. On the day itself, it was perfect. The food is one of the key selling points of Rathsallagh. It is simply incredible. The venue is amazing - having exclusive use for us was what we always wanted for our day which is another huge benefit. EVERYONE commented how nice Rathsallagh is as a venue, a perfect balance between old and new. We were blessed with great weather so had our reception out on the front lawn which was a real bonus. Additionally, our friends are still telling us how helpful the staff were, everything from checking people in at their cars on arrival, to looking after our pregnant guests with non alcoholic alternatives, to following us when we did our photos making sure we had plenty to drink and eat while our reception was happening. A huge heartfelt thank you to Joe, Stephen, Catherine and the entire team at Rathsallagh House, our only regret is it's all over!!!

We finally (on our third attempt!) got our magical celebration at Rathsallagh House this August!! It was well and truly worth the wait. To say it was an experience and a dream come true for us, is quite simply an understatement. Rathsallagh and the Wedding team of Stephen and Catherine, plus the front of house Reception staff and the catering team, had been so accommodating with us all throughout during Covid, and honestly there wasn't anything which was too much trouble for them. We were completely blown away when the day finally arrived at how seamlessly everything went, all down to the complete and utter professionalism and warmth and generosity with which the Team there approached things. There wasn't a thing that hadn't been thought of and catered for. And it took so much of the stress away from us being there knowing what safe hands we were in. The Bridal preparation area is so unique and so special, it is really stunning, and we loved the venue in every single way. All of our guests were so complimentary on the standard and level of comfort and luxury of the rooms, as well as the quality and standard of the food and the atmosphere was amazing in the Pavillion on the evening of our wedding. We absolutely loved every minute of it and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Rathsallagh House. It is truly special and unique and you will be so well looked after there. If we could give it more than ten out of ten, we would! And if we can return for anyone else's wedding soon, we will be thrilled!!

As Mother of the Bride I would have high expectations for the Special Day of my daughter. To say there were exceeded is no exageration. The care and attention, kindness and brilliantly well organised event was wonderful and I (and all my family) have been given a very precious memory to store in our hearts forever. From the moment of our arrival it was seamless. What also stood out were the staff whose calmness never wavered once with all the usual last minute requests. I would single out Catherine, whose unflappable care and efficiency was evident throughout the day and the next day as well. Rathsallagh hosted my daughter Helen's wedding with still many restrictions in place and yet we felt no stress, only happiness at being guided by steady hands whose satisfaction was knowing that they had done everything possible to ensure a successful day.

I cannot recommend this venue enough and even this review wont do it half the justice it deserves! From the moment we viewed the venue we both fell in love, it ticked all of our boxes from a beautiful onsite ceremony room, to picturesque photography spots, to a snooker room which was kept busy all weekend, It had everything that we were looking for in a venue. When we met Joe the very first day we visited he simply asked us what we wanted from our day and he really did give us all that and more!! We had the most amazing wedding where everyone felt completely relaxed and at ease and real part of the day. Throughout the venue there are signs saying 'Just Ask' and this couldn't be more than true, no ask was too big or too small for the staff. I have heard so many complements from our guests about the staff, they were amazing!! they were there for whatever you needed whenever you needed. They looked after each and every guest like it was their wedding. They are a credit to the venue and really made the day as special as it was. This was our third attempt at a wedding and it was honestly better than we could have ever imagined and the venue played a massive part in that. They were so accommodating with all of the date changes and made sure that we finally got the day that we wanted. If you are looking for a venue that ticks all of the boxes then I would highly recommend visiting and checking it out for yourself, if you are anything like us, you will have it booked before you drive back out the gates!!

After having to change our venue from abroad, we were so delighted to discover Rathsallagh having been invited to a wedding here. From the moment we contacted Joe, we knew this would be our wedding venue. We were made to feel so welcome from the beginning and the communication was excellent. We had a fantastic day in Rathsallagh on the 6th of August. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the venue, staff and food were. We really were made to feel so special on our wedding day by all of the staff and everything we had asked for was prepared and ready on the day. Our wedding coordinator Mary was exceptional, was quick to respond to our queries and was extremely organised on the day, she kept us to our agreed schedule but we never felt we were being rushed at any stage. The food was absolutely out of this world, and many guests are still talking about the extra beef that was brought to each table during the dinner! The bar woman, whose name I unfortunately cannot remember was amazing with all of our guests and many raved about how she remembered their drinks and recommended amazing cocktails all night. We and our guests were blown away by the bedrooms and the grounds. Each room was immaculate and so impressive. I read a previous reviewer mention that each guest was treated as though it was their wedding day and this was most certainly true on our day too. You will not be disappointed if you choose Rathsallagh as your wedding venue!

We recently got married at Rathsallagh House. It was our 3rd date due to covid and Rathsallagh were so helpful and flexible throughout. They accommodated us any way they could and it made the day extremely easy. It was like a monsoon so our plans to marry outdoors and for photos outdoors were scuppered but Rathsallaghs indoor options were amazing and were even nicer. All staff were so professional and polite and the food was amazing. All our guests were blown away by their rooms and the service. I can't speak highly enough of the place and the staff. Particularly Catherine and Stephen who were amazing throughout. We will definitely be going back for lunches and dinners whenever we get the chance.

From the moment that we walked through the doors of Rathsallagh House we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. The venue had everything we were looking for; beautiful grounds, friendly staff and a wedding team that inspired such confidence that we knew that it would be a wonderful day. We finally got to have our happy day in July 2021, with both our ceremony and reception taking place in Rathsallagh. The day passed off so perfectly; without a care in the world for us or our guests, and this is down to the professionalism and hard work of the whole team in Rathsallagh. Many of our guests continue to remark on how fabulous the whole day was with particular praise for the food and the outstanding staff. The attention to detail throughout Rathsallagh really does make it a very special venue and we would not hesitate to recommend it to any couples planning a wedding.

It is difficult to describe our wedding experience with Rathsallagh in a short review. From the moment we contacted Rathsallagh to book our wedding reception in March we were more than impressed. There is nothing we could fault. The quality of food, professionalism of staff and standard of accommodation were exceptional. Every guest that attended commented on the venue. My husband & I visited many country houses in Ireland in search of our dream wedding venue, but the day we drove down the long beautiful drive to Rathsallagh Country House, we knew it was where we would celebrate our special day. We originally booked to get married in April 2020 but due to covid we were forced to reschedule our wedding 4 times. Joe, Stephen and the wedding team at Rathsallagh Country House were very patient, accommodating and reassuring with every date change, making a very stressful time for us as stress-free, as they possibly could. Eventually our day came on June 30th 2021. Our family and friends are still lamenting the superb food, the accommodating and helpful staff and the breathtaking gardens and grounds. We moved our wedding to Rathsallagh House due to having issues with our original wedding venue around price due to having a smaller wedding (due to Covid) - and it was the best thing that ever happened to us! Rathsallagh House is more than just a hotel - you are made feel at home the moment you arrive. The service at this place is absolutely outstanding - every single one of their staff members are absolutely amazing - they genuinely couldn't do enough for us! They have something really special here - do not pass this place when looking for a wedding venue. We had the most amazing weekend - our guests are still raving about the place, the service, the food, the grounds! If we could give them 20/5 stars, we would! You can have the best wedding ever in COVID in Rathsallagh. In all my years of staying and going to weddings Rathsallagh pulled out all the stops for my wedding. All my guests 25 including the dog Alife ring bearer had Rathsallagh exclusively to ourselves. We had a fun filled relaxing time with absolutely amazing food. The level of hygiene and staff response to all our needs was second to none. All the staff couldn’t do enough for us. This venue is a very special place if your thinking of getting married don’t rule this place out you get more than what you pay for and you don’t realise it until you experience it. The first thing Rathsallagh said to me when I arrived “this house is now your home” what hotel gives you that type of service. We got married in their purpose built chapel AMAZING and the owner was so involved in our day he pulled up in his land rover and drove me over to the chapel. I felt on my day I had a second family there. Rathsallagh Joe, Catherine and their team. All I can say is thanks from the bottom of my heart for the professional, caring and relaxing very nervous guests with Covid to allow all of us to have the most special day

We had our wedding on New Years Day in Rathsallagh. We couldn’t recommend it stronger. We first viewed the venue in 2019, which feels a long time ago now. We initially had to postpone our wedding a year ago because of covid. By the time it came to the event itself, it felt as if we were visiting Rathsallagh again for the first time, and we were wowed all over again. Throughout the 2 years we dealt with Rathsallagh, they were great to work with. Every email got an immediate reply that was efficient and friendly. Going through the challenges of a covid wedding was nerve wracking, but despite having to cancel initially, and then re arrange with diminishing numbers due to covid, I think the real signs of why Rathsallagh are so highly rated came to the fore. They were so good, reasonable and accommodating. They actually defused some of the late stress, rather than add to it. I’m conscious that through all this they were having to respond to covid challenges too, but you’d never have known. Even on the day, minutes before dinner we asked to change the layout of the top table to give space to a vulnerable family member and they had it sorted without anyone noticing, and without complaint. Beyond that, every guest commented on how great the venue and food were. The parents on both sides said they’d love to go back and stay as guests in the future which is a good sign. It’s a beautiful venue regardless of the time of the year, between the prep areas for the morning, the orangery etc gif photos and the dining srea. Our bridal parties all commented that we were regularly checked up on all day to make sure everything was going to plan, and we are grateful for that. We didn’t have to put much work ourselves into our wedding, yet managed to Have a perfect day.

Caitriona and I were married in Rathsallagh House on 31st Dec 2020, and there are no words sufficient to convey how highly I would recommend the venue and all the Rathsallagh team involved. Because of Covid we encountered a few problems along the way which meant changes to the original date, changes to numbers of guests, and it even impacted upon our tasting for the meal. But from the moment we first arrived to view the venue with Catherine, through each and every moment of the organising and the various problems covid through at us, Catherine, Joe and all the team delivered a service beyond anything we could have expected, and their role in making our day perfect cannot be overstated. We had viewed a number of other venues, many of which are held in very high regard as wedding venues, but the best way I can sum up Rathsallagh House and the team is as follows: When you enter Rathsallagh House you know you are entering a home, and not just a hotel, and whereas other venues were heavily focused on telling us what they offered, Rathsallagh on the other hand were more interested in knowing what they could do for us to give us the day we wanted. They showed us a level of service and hospitality that we did not find elsewhere! In my opinion you will simply not find better than Catherine, Joe and the team at Rathsallagh House for your wedding.

We had viewed a number of venues but as soon as we arrived in Rathsallagh we knew it was where we would get married. The food, fires, staff, Granary (ceremony room), decor, the high level of cleanliness all set it above anywhere else we had viewed. Having the house to ourselves for our wedding day made it so special too. We got married in December 2020. We were meant to get married in June 2020 but couldn't because of national restrictions. So really we planned a summer and winter wedding. It's the best venue for both. The gardens are amazing in the summer and then the big log fires and cozy feel in the winter make it the best venue whatever the season. As COVID-19 national restrictions changed throughout the year, we were kept well informed by regular email updates from Joe. Stephen went above and beyond answering any questions we had and sorting whatever needed to be done too. We all had the best day in December. Our guests are still contacting us about what a great day they had. Thanks so much Stephen, Jonathan, Martha, Shane and everyone in Rathsallagh for everything.

We must have viewed at least 10 venues at in the beginning. None of the ones before Rathsallagh felt right and any we viewed after felt like a waste of time after seeing all they had to offer. From the house itself, to the ceremony rooms and the grounds which we had exclusively to ourselves. In what must have been an exceptionally stressful time for them, Joe and The Wedding Team could not have done more for us. They kept us constantly informed of how our day would look depending on how many guests would be permitted. The day itself was more perfect than we could have imagined. All our guests commented on the quality of the food and how attentive the staff were. Our hardest decision was what food to leave off the menu after our tasting evening! No request was too big or small. We can't wait to visit again once everything gets back to normal.

Absolutely spectacular venue, we had the most amazing day in December 2020. Rathsallagh venue and staff brilliant and would only ever consider having a wedding here. All our guests said it was the best wedding they've been to. You'd be crazy to not at least view the venue as your wedding choice, the decision will be obvious then when you get there.

From the moment we viewed Rathsallagh we had an instant warm feeling and knew we wanted to get married here. Due to Covid 19 we had to postpone our original date and the support and guidance the team at Rathsallagh offered was much appreciated. Their help and advice was much needed during the uncertainty this year and even prior to Covid their support was brilliant. We had the best day and wouldn't change anything now looking back. All our guests commented on the venue and especially the staff. Everyone in Rathsallagh was so helpful and accommodating they couldn't have done more. Even though our original date was in Summer we felt Rathsallagh was also the perfect venue for a Winter wedding due to the picturesque grounds. The wedding team, Stephen, Catherine, Gillian and of course Joe are absolute dreams to work with whose experience is a calming reassurance. We look forward to returning and staying again.

We celebrated our wedding in Rathsallagh in December last year with 25 guests. The venue was perfect for the smaller number as it would have been for the original 200 due to all of the drawing rooms, bars and dining areas. It felt really intimate and cosy. The decorations (Christmas wedding) were stunning and Catherine and Stephen were a dream to deal with from start to finish.

I was familiar with Rathsallagh, having dined and stayed there on a number of occasions over the years. I was always struck by the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, delicious food and attentive, but unobtrusive, service. With all this in mind and having researched other venues, I suggested Rathsallagh House to my future husband for our wedding reception. He had never been in Rathsallagh House, so on a sunny day in June 2019, we set off. As we drove in, he was impressed with the standard of maintenance and charm of the house and grounds. Fortuitously, we met Catherine. Having explained why we were there, she immediately offered to show us around. What impressed us most about Catherine, apart from the warmth of her welcome, her knowledge and experience, was the obvious pride she had in Rathsallagh House. Over tea, she outlined the services they could offer, tailored to our planned wedding in November, 2020. Then, Covid 19 arrived. Throughout all the uncertainty this created for every couple planning a wedding, Joe, Catherine and all the wedding team could not have been more helpful, flexible and accommodating. So, on the 28th November, 2020, having reduced our guest numbers from the original one hundred and forty five to twenty five, we had the most wonderful, intimate reception in the beautiful dining room and lounges at Rathsallagh House. The fact the the House was exclusive to us for the event and the meticulous adherence by Rathsallagh to all Covid protocols meant our guests felt very safe and relaxed. From the moment we arrived in the wedding car, we were assured that Rathsallagh House was our home for the duration of our stay. Rathsallagh House itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the wedding accommodation was warm and luxurious. With wonderful service, the reception flowed seamlessly with all the little touches we had requested. Our guests were hugely impressed. So, what more is left to be said except to thank the O'Flynn family, Catherine and all of the staff at Rathsallagh House most sincerely for a perfect day.

We attended a wedding at Rathsallagh Country House in 2016 and the venue left a very strong impression with us.When the search started for a venue for our wedding day, Rathsallagh was on the top of our list and outshone all other venues we visited. Through all the uncertainty surrounding the build up, the team at Rathsallagh were a constant source of calm and understanding, keeping us up to date regarding all changes in Covid19 restrictions and what implications this could have on our day. On the day itself, everything went off without a hitch. The reception, food and service provided from the staff could not be faulted. The venue itself was immaculate with the walled garden a big hit amongst our guests. It was the perfect venue for a small wedding with dinner served in the main house, with the fires setting a beautiful backdrop for the meal. There is not one negative word to be said about the staff, food or venue, with a more picturesque setting very difficult to be found. We will certainly be returning again and could not recommend Rathsallagh Country House more highly.

We originally reached out to Rathsallagh whilst still on holidays after getting engaged. Joe was so responsive and helpful in his replies that it immediately put Rathsallagh at the forefront of our possible venues. We viewed three venues but knew as soon as we walked around Rathsallagh that it was the one. Catherine was so friendly that day and we loved the relaxed vibe of Rathsallagh. Catherine noticed we had our dog in the car and told us we could bring her around with us. It made the experience all the more personable. The kennels at Rathsallagh were also a big selling point for us. We were originally due to get married in April of 2020 but had to postpone to August 2020. Guidelines changed again the week of the wedding which put a further spanner in the works. Joe and Stephen were so understanding and flexible throughout all of this. We managed to have some good luck with sunshine on the wedding day and Stephen suggested that we hold the ceremony outside. We had never thought about that before and are so happy now that Stephen suggested this. Getting married under the oak tree in Rathsallagh is definitely a memory we will treasure. The attention to detail in Rathsallagh is second to none and the meal and service were both flawless. Rathsallagh really feels like a second home so much so that we stayed the night before the wedding and the night after and were still sad to leave! We could not recommend Rathsallagh enough and we look forward to many more stays there in the future.

Myself and my wife got married in Rathsallagh in august 2020. When we went to meet Catharine for the first time we knew this was where we wanted our big day to be. We spent probably 2 hours walking around the building and the grounds and discussing what we wanted and what they would be able to do for us. Catharine even insisted we bring our dog in from the car to have a look around! With the year that was in it we had many issues in the lead up to the wedding. We had to postpone our original date in April as we went into lockdown a few weeks out. Right up until a couple of days out guidelines were changing constantly, we were never really sure if we could even go ahead but the level of communication and flexibility from Catharine, joe and Stephen was outstanding. The worked with us every step of the way. They even accommodated an on site civil ceremony at the last minute as our church cancelled due to covid. In the end we had an amazing two days there and our ceremony took place in the sunshine under the tree in the front lawn. A better setting than we ever had expected. All of the staff there were brilliant, you would hardly know they were there and they were on the ball with everything at the right time. Some of our friends have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to! On top of the amazing service the place is beautiful. The grounds and the rooms are brilliantly maintained. If you are looking for a country house venue where you will feel like you’re at home, look no further!!

Tucked away on the most idyllic hill sides in Dulvain County Wicklow Rathsallagh House……Wow!! I’m not even sure where to start, an abundance of charisma and character were one of the very few reasons we chose Rathsallagh House as our wedding venue. Rathsallagh, not only because of its vast amounts of beautiful grounds and scenery was a no brainer for both myself and my wife “this was a home away from home” and beyond anything we could have ever envisioned. The smell of a burning log fires, the warmth from all the staff especially Catherine, Joe, Gillian, and all the wedding coordination team. Nothing was ever to big or to small, everyone was more than attentive, and I couldn’t recommend them enough. We wanted the feel of an old country house and Rathsallagh delivers on this tenfold. On the lead up to our Wedding Day we couldn’t have been more reassured or relaxed everything was taken care of. From the hospitality to the food right the way back around to accommodation everything was more than perfect! And it delivers so much more than I could ever do justice to with words. We viewed one venue and one venue only. From the moment we arrived to view it as potential, we met with Gillian (who would become one of our wedding coordinators) and she reflected the professionalism and efficiency of Rathsallagh from the get go. I cannot compliment the whole venue enough. All our guests were extremely impressed with the relaxed atmosphere, the food(which was amazing) and the grounds. If we could do it all again we would. They couldn't have done more for us both helping with queries in the planning, giving us a great food tasting meal, and to running the day itself perfectly. We had the most amazing wedding day in Rathsallagh House on the 28th December. The service provided by the team there was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we first visited Rathsallagh as a potential wedding venue, we loved the overall feel of the place - the house is so homely and inviting, set in really beautiful surroundings. That, along with Catherine’s extremely warm welcome, and we were sold in no time at all! Throughout all of the preparations, Catherine and the wedding team were fantastic, we felt so looked after from start to finish, and as if nothing was too much trouble. We cannot praise the team enough. The wedding day itself could not have run more smoothly - from preparations to First Look to ceremony and so on, the Rathsallagh team had every single detail in hand and coordinated everything perfectly. The food was superb - That, alongside the outstanding service, and of course the beautiful venue, was commented on by so many of our guests. We couldn't possibly have enjoyed our wedding day any more than we did, and we put that down to the quality of the service provided by Rathsallagh. We're looking forward to staying there again, and reliving the wonderful memories from our wedding day.

We really enjoyed our day at Rathsallagh House. While it is stressful organising a wedding from abroad, the team at Rathsallagh helped tremendously.

We had such a fantastic experience with Rathsallagh from start to finish. The wedding coordinators and other staff always came across as enthusiastic and keen to make our wedding as personal as possible. They always responded quickly to our queries and were very flexible about additional requests. So many guests commented on how nice it was to have the venue to ourselves, how attractive the setting was and how nice the food was. We had our ceremony on site and the granary had a lovely atmosphere. The late bar was great to have and allowed us to maximise the celebrations! The dressing room for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready is a new addition that is really lovely. The bridal suite was beautiful and there were lots of thoughtful additions to the room. Overall, we can't recommend Rathsallagh highly enough!

This has to be one of the best venues in the country. It is so relaxing and homely..in the sense that everyone was made feel so welcome. Our wedding was in November and it was decorated for Christmas..and wow the place looked stunning. The open fires and that smell of wood is just magical. When night fell and the place was lit up...honestly it surpassed all our expectations. We have nothing but excellent comments from our guests in terms of food quality and the beauty of Rathsallagh and the genuine warmth and friendliness of the staff. Catherine and Stephen and the whole team were with us at every step and made the whole planning and the day itself effortless for us as the couple. I will also say a special thanks to Joe and his family for the wonderful reception and their obvious care. Without any hesitation in the world we recommend Rathsallagh. We got married in Rathsallagh on 10th of November 2019. It was fantastic from start to finish. From our initial viewing where it was relaxed and very personal to the wedding itself where it was catered 100% to our liking. They were very flexible when it came to choosing from their weekend and weekday menus. The menu tasting again was very flexible. They allowed additional courses to give us a fully informed decision. They have 2 buildings on site to get married depending on your numbers. Throughout our planning, they were in touch with us, giving us feedback, making sure we were staying on course and answering any questions we had very quickly. Catherine was a fantastic person to liaise with throughout our planning. While all the team were extremely knowledgeable, you could tell Catherine had a passion for what she does and has a great deal of experience in wedding planning. She was a pure delight. They have a wedding agenda which seems to be exclusively used by Rathsallagh. It is an all encompassing document that does take a little while to fill out but when once done it is a great help. It covers every aspects of your wedding: contact numbers for vendors, dietary requirements for guests, a list of best man duties, list of items brought rhay you want to take home and more. They laid out everything in the agenda so when the day came, there was nothing to worry about. The setting itself is a masterpiece. The house is lovely the rooms are more than spacious, the grounds are stunning to walk around and for pictures, the Pavillion is wonderful for the dinner and the party and food is way beyond what you would expect. It is such a high standard, none of our guests had anything bad to say about any of the food. And they had nothing bad to say about anything to do with Rathsallagh. Something that was mentioned by many guests was the fact that we were the only ones there. We didn't need to share it with any other event or wedding etc like a standard hotel. We would happily recommend this to any of our friends getting married and would love to attend it as a guest just to experience it again. 10 out of 10 cannot recommend it enough

Excellent service fantastic wedding planners Gillian and Stephen were just amazing!! Coming up to our wedding we had so much to think about, it was so just such a relief to have a reliable competent team working with us in Rathsallagh, we just knew they could handle anything!

From the minute we set foot in rathsallagh we loved the place, not only visually stunning any time of the year but also so welcoming and you're treated like you're the only person getting married there. Our viewing wasn't an "appointment" like we experienced at other venues but a opportunity to express what was important for our wedding and rathsallagh to put us at ease that they could provide that. We met Joe (owner) at our viewing and he brought us through every aspect of the house, wedding day and what to expect. At the end of the meeting we were in love with it but had thought that this would come with a hefty price. We waited for Joe to do up a bespoke package which he sent in a matter of minutes after leaving us which was so reasonably priced. The build up to our wedding was so easy with the team at rathsallagh and they always had time for us whether that was organising the rooms or deciding the menu. Our wedding day was amazing and I cannot comment enough on how amazing the staff were. The top table were treated like royalty and Stephen the wedding coordinator was fantastic in guiding us through the day. Everything went off without a hitch. Cannot recommend rathsallagh enough and have given everything 5 stars because it was one of the best days of our lives and largely down to how well we were looked after.

We had our wedding at Rathsallagh recently. It was fantastic and all the staff at Rathsallagh worked to make it a great day for us. We’ve had so many comments from our guests about how great the food, the rooms and just the venue overall was. All the coordinators we dealt with before the day were lovely to work with. On the day itself our coordinator Stephen was so terrific, looked after us so well and helped it all run so calmly and smoothly.

We had viewed a considerable number of venues during Feb and Mar 2018 with Rathsallagh sitting in the middle of our viewings, however the venues after our visit to Rathsallagh were always going to be at a disadvantage as Joe had done such a super job showing us around his wonderful house and had made us feel so welcome and at home that we both felt he and his team would indeed make it our own for our wedding day. Joes Kildare Hunt links were similar to my now husband Ronan's so this again made it very much feel like a friend was helping us arrange everything.This was again proven when it came to setting dates and the little extras Joe added in. The team at Rathsallagh then smoothly started the process of putting together the schedule for our wedding and kept in continuous contact and kept us notified and on track to ensure everything was arranged and organised in plenty of time and ensured no stressful moments at all. The team also saw that the tasting evening was a relaxed affair and we had parents attend and try many of the available options offered. Any specific menu requests were again handled with absolute courtesy and professionalism. The last few weeks were again made so simple and all room bookings and requests were handled without and trouble which gave complete confidence in the team at Rathsallagh. On the day of our wedding throughout the day anything we had requested was there and waiting , the venue itself was immaculate and the welcome and service provided to ourselves and our guests was far above the five star rating available in this review. We would have to say the same applied throughout the entire day and evening. Our Bar tabs were managed expertly by the bar staff and the catering staff and chef ensured the food was superb and plentiful with extra helpings and various choices available to guests , tables were served and cleared discreetly and wine etc was served in a courteous manner. Overall the day was managed to perfection by the team and all of our guests and family were extremely impressed and were complimentary of Rathsallagh and its staff and facilities. The facilities surely make Rathsallagh a jewel, its sitting rooms and open fires and its reception rooms ensure a space for all on such a busy day and allow old and young enjoy the day at their own pace. The other gem are the beautiful grounds at Rathsallagh which offer the ideal back drop for all the special photos that have to be taken on a wedding day, their natural appearance give so many opportunities to create so many happy memories. To complete the package Rathsallagh offers the most wonderful rooms and accommodation which once again was complimented by guests and the vast and varied breakfast was welcomed by all the morning after. All in all we would have to say this venue and its staff and owners deserve more stars than available and we have to say thank you so very much to Catherine, Gillian, Julie, Stephen, Rosie the team who looked after us so well and indeed to Joe for being there to help us make the choice of Rathsallagh for our wedding reception. We had the most amazing Wedding day in Rathsallagh House. The staff could not have done more for us on the day. Joe welcomed us to Rathsallagh to let us know the house was ours for the day; and we really felt like it was. The food overall was amazing, beef cooked to perfection for 180 people. We got married on 6th Oct 2019 at Rathsallagh. The day went perfectly and all our guests had a ball. The food, accomadation, gardens, open fires, the hotel golden retriever, horses and the grounds made for a perfect day. Our coordinator Stephen was on hand to calmly keep us in check and guide us through the day! We cant recommend the venue enough and the walled garden makes for stunning photos! If we were to do it again we go back to Rathsallagh..

From the first day we went to Rathsallagh we knew this was our wedding venue. We were so welcomed by Joe and were extremely impressed with the house and grounds when he gave us a tour. All the wedding coordinators were extremely helpful and got back to us straight away with answers to our many questions/queries over email, nothing was an issue and they really let us have the house for the day and decorate it the way we wanted. Gillian was extremely helpful when we had our wedding preparation meeting a couple of weeks before the wedding. She gave us lots of tips of what they found worked or didn’t work at Rathsallagh. Stephen was our wedding coordinator on the day and he was superb. He kept us up to date with what we needed to know on the day, from holding my bridesmaids bags, sorting out our belongings to go to everyones rooms after getting ready in the Think Tank room, organising drinks for us at the reception, and making sure everything ran smoothly on the day. The food was amazing on the day, all of our guests commented on it and how lovely the grounds of the house looked and were kept. We don’t have anything negative to comment on and just wish we could do it all over again, one night at Rathsallagh is definitely not enough.

To all of the staff at Rathsallagh, we cannot thank you enough for helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives! Our Wedding 22 Sept 18 There really is nowhere better than Rathsallagh to have a wedding or even just to spend the night. We stayed there before our wedding and had the most amazing time we had a beautiful meal and then sat in the drawing room having some wine. We got talking to another couple who were also getting married there in September and all of us were just so taken with the atmosphere,the food,the service it was just lovely. We had our wedding on the 22/09 and it just couldn’t have been better every member of staff were so nice and so professional. All of our guests were talking about the different staff members they had interacted with them and how obvious it was that they all really cared and wanted the venue to be presented in the best possible light. They were all local to the area and you could really feel a sense of ownership from them all. Our ceremony was held in the granary which is about 80m from the front entrance and the weather decided not to play ball for us. There was torrential rain just as the guests were due to walk up and I mean torrential this is where the staff came into there own they all got their own cars and transported all the ladies to the door and other staff members walked back and forth with umbrellas for the men. The owner of rathsallagh came out in her car to bring the bridal party up and keep them dry. Just an amazing effort everyone putting there shoulder to the wheel. The wedding was brilliant the food was out of this world and everything that had been arranged was executed to perfection. Our wedding coordinators Catherine,Gillian,Stephen are really top notch and couldn’t have done a better job. The next morning at breakfast our guests were all trying to argue that they had the nicest room in the House. All the rooms are different but all beautiful. We still have people telling us how much they enjoyed the wedding and that’s in no small part down to Rathsallagh and it’s staff. I can’t wait to go back and spend another night there!!

Rathsallagh House is the ultimate wedding venue, a magical place to get married! All members of staff were extremely helpful, kind and supportive. They are just on another level, true professionals. I had total confidence in Catherine, Gillian and Stephen the whole way through the process and we feel they went above and beyond to make sure our day went perfectly. We were extremely lucky to have them. Grounds and rooms are magnificent.The food is out of this world. I am still getting messages from friends and family commenting on how amazing it all was. I will especially always remember leaving the venue to go to the church on the morning of the wedding and all the staff were at the front door in almost a guard of honour wishing me well, moments like this will never be forgotten. We cannot wait to go back and visit again soon!

Where do I even begin... faultless, perfection, attentive are just a few words to describe Rathsallagh House and their staff. From the moment we met Gillian and Julie we knew we were in good hands. Our two day celebration was second to none. Our family and friends couldn't stop singing the praises all off those involved in making the day perfect for us. Myself and my husband had been planning the wedding from London and it was easy to contact any member of staff who always put our minds at ease and answered all our questions. If you haven't already picked your venue you won't need to look any further. We had many requests and some changes last minute, including the morning of the wedding ceremony, all of which was taken in stride and nothing was too much. What more can you ask for? There is a reason Rathsallagh House have won so many awards.

To say our wedding day went seamless is an understatement. The team at Rathsallagh are amazing. Everyone raved about the food, it was absolutely delicious. We have a 7month old daughter and the team helped us so much ensuring all her items were put in the room and babysitter was looked after as well. I could go forever about how good Rathsallagh as a venue is, Joe and all the team are so lovely to deal with and so accommodating.

We had our wedding here in August it was the most magical day all thanks to the amazing staff at Rathsallagh house. We had looked at 15 venues before rathsallagh and we knew instantly it was the venue for us. Nothing was to much for the staff food was outstanding and we were literally treated like royalty. Cant wait to go back and stay again

I cannot day enough good things about this venue. The team they have are phenomenal, everyone in Rathsallagh is highly experienced and this shows in the seamless running of the day. The food was outstanding, grounds are beautiful and the bedrooms are all so individual. We did not want to leave after 2 days! You know that you will be assured of top quality and amazing attention to detail in every aspect of the day here.

I can't fault Rathsallagh in any way. They were so attentive to myself and m wife over the 2 days we had there and always made us feel at ease. Everything seemed to run effortlessly which shows their organisation and it made our time were even more enjoyable. I would strongly recommend having a wedding reception there to anyone that asks me while still wanting to keep the place special for ourselves(fine line). We had 12 bottles of wine left after our wedding day for Day 2 and they said they would throw in 2 more for us. I thought this was such a kind and unexpected gesture though I can't say they will do that for everyone. Fantastic venue!

Rathsallagh is a stunning venue for a wedding and it was one of the most remarked about aspects of ours. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating on the day and very attentive! I could absolutely not fault it, we had a most perfect wedding day there. Whilst the staff reply so promptly to emails and queries, be aware that should you not get the venue filled, you will be at the cost of the vacant rooms and that you don't get a chance to see the way the room will be decorated and presented for your day in advance, but they do such a fabulous job that really you will be most pleased. As it is a remote venue, you are obliged to pay for a taxi man who will drive guests in the vicinity to their destination, that is compulsory. Rathsallagh were really kind-hearted and good to us and it is with certainty that I say you'll most definitely not regret choosing them for your venue. We're looking forward to a return visit!!

Myself and my partner got married in Rathsallagh House and it was the most perfect day and that was all down to the venue and staff. The staff were all so helpful and went out of their way to any special requests we had leading up to the big day and on the day itself they went above and beyond to cater to us and our guests. The food was delicious and all our wedding guests commented on how delicious it was. The bedrooms are all so different and beautiful and the grounds itself allows for great photographs. We wish we could do it all over again and would not change a thing. Thank you to everyone at Rathsallagh House for making our day so special.

There really is not enough positive things to say about Rathsallagh in terms of Venue and the entire team behind it all. During the build up to our wedding we did not come across a single staff member who was not fantastic. The venue itself is flawless but I really feel it is the staff who make it so special. From Joe right through they were all so helpful and made the weekend what it was. We had high expectations and Rathsallagh blew them away and gave us a wedding we could only have wished for. The best thing to describe what its like is that even though they have a number of weddings a week they make you feel like you may be the only wedding that is on that year. An amazing place which we could not reccomened highy enough. Our guests all made comments on how great they found the venue from the amazing bedrooms, the grounds and all staff members. 5 Star.

Highly recommended Rathsallagh!! They couldn't do enough for us, and would love to have the day all over again in slow motion!! Our co-ordinator Catherine is an absolute gem, and she sold the venue for us from the first viewing. All the staff were so helpful the whole way along. All of our guests were blown away with Rathsallagh. I absolutely love this venue and I honestly can not wait to visit again!

We had our wedding reception in Rathsallagh. It absolutely exceeded expectations. Joe, Stephen, Catherine, Gillian, Monica and Rosie went above and beyond for us as did every member of staff we met on the day. The warm, homely, inviting atmosphere we experienced from the moment we visited Rathsallagh was second to none. The food was also just out of this world- there was such a brilliant choice and our guests on the day complimented both venue choice and the delicious food. The photos of our wedding day are gorgeous, from a walk in the walled garden, to the orangery, but most of all under the stunning tree- the setting was truly exceptional. We look forward to visiting Rathsallagh in the near future.

I don't even know where to start on a review of Rathsallagh House. We viewed four possible venues for our wedding and googled and emailed many more. From the minute we arrived and drove up the beautiful driveway, we got the wow factor (that our guests have been saying they got too!). When we met Julie, she was so lovely and was so easy to deal with. Throughout the planning process, everyone in Rathsallagh was amazing, particularly Joe, Julie, Sinead & Rosie. From arrival on the day before our wedding to leaving the day after, we were made to feel like the only brides in the world! Catherine was amazing and Stephen looked after getting me to the ceremony and Julie the same for Claire, without us seeing each other! The ceremony was in their beautiful Granary and everything about the day was magical. It is a truly stunning place, the bedrooms are fab and our guests raved about the luxury, the grounds are out of this world, complete with fairy lights everywhere but the stand out part of the day was the food. I can't say enough about it, it was unreal, I have never had such a good meal at a wedding and our guests were blown away. I couldn't recommend Rathsallagh House enough, the staff and venue made our day and I wouldn't change one single thing about it.

Honestly can not fault the venue, the staff, the food - everything was absolutely perfect. Our guests were all extremely happy with the service, venue, food and accommodation. From the time we drove in the archway when Stephen greeted us to when Monica told me she was finishing up for the night our every need was met & I felt like the whole day was seamless. From the very beginning Rathsallagh were amazing to deal with. They made us feel so relaxed and that our wedding was important despite it being such a popular venue. Joe, Stephen, Catherine, Gillian, Monica and Rosie were a pleasure to deal with!The staff over the weekend were so friendly and helpful too. The management and wedding planners couldnt have done more for us, they got excited with us and were flexible with last minute table changes - including on the day! All the staff in Rathsallagh were most helpful throughout the whole planning process and also throughout our wedding weekend. All our guests have commented on what a spectacular venue Rathsallagh is and how great the food was over the two days we had down in Rathsallagh. Rathsallagh House, was our perfect venue. The staff could not do enough for us from the moment we went to view it as our wedding venue up until the moment we left after our wedding day. The food was second to none and everybody at our wedding are still commenting on how friendly the staff were, how gorgeous the venue was and how there was no end to the food and drink on the day. We had the most relaxed and fun wedding day there because we had nothing to worry about on the day, the wedding coordinators took all of that off our hands and made sure the day went seamlessly for us. We were able to sit back and enjoy every minute of it. We couldn't have asked for a better venue than Rathsallagh and if we were to do it all again, we'd 100% make the same choice with our wedding venue.

We had the most fantastic wedding day at Rathsallagh, and their professionalism and organisation were a huge part of this. The staff were all fantastic, very kind, cheerful and professional and had such incredible attention to detail. The food was amazing. The organisation was so easy and the planning generally was made so easy by Rathsallagh. It allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The options for indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations were a major selling point as we knew we'd have a great setting whatever the weather; in the end we were able to have both in the walled gardens which was just beautiful. Normally I wouldn't be one to write reviews but I literally cannot fault a single thing!

My husband and I have the most wonderful memories of our wedding celebration in Rathsallagh House. We went to see a good few places but none captured our attention as much as this country house did. When we drove into the grounds on our way to our first meeting with Catherine, both of us just got that 'feeling' that this was the one. Catherine's warmth and fun nature came across so quickly to us. Straight away, you could tell that herself and her team, Gillian & Stephen were absolute professionals in the wedding game. They thought of everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! All our guests are still talking about the few days spent in Rathsallagh, the stunning food, comfortable accommodation, relaxed atmosphere, Pig on a Spit the next day, fun staff. We wouldn't have changed a thing. We were lucky to be blessed with beautiful Irish weather so our outdoor ceremony at Rathsallagh is still our favourite part of the wedding day. I remember the owner Joe coming up to me and saying 'This is your home for the next few days....enjoy every second'. What a lovely thing to say to a nervous Bride. I just wish we could do it all over again. For now, we just hope we get invited to someone elses wedding in Rathsallagh. LOL!

The wedding was even better than I could ever have imagined. The team at Rathsallagh were absolutely amazing! The guests were wowed by the beauty of the grounds of the venue, our guests commented on how lovely everyone was, how well looked after they were and how utterly delicious the food was. Catherine was an absolute star throughout the day. So calming and reassuring, and so in control of everything. She really put my nervous mind to rest from the minute I arrived and I didn’t feel like I needed to worry about anything for the rest of the day. I honestly don’t have the words to convey my gratitude to everyone for all the hard work. It was just absolutely wonderful and we both have the most amazing memories of the day.

Beautiful venue

The 5 stars says it all. Rathsallagh House is the most amazing venue - from the minute you drive through the entrance it's star quality throughout. The grounds, the pavilion and the food are just out of this world. Most importantly, the staff and wedding coordinator team are the most helpful and supportive people who work with you throughout to really make your wedding the best day of your lives. I cannot recommend Rathsallagh House enough and everyone who chooses it as a venue is in for a real treat - one you'll never forget!

Our wedding in Rathsallagh was absolutely amazing! Gillian, Julie, Stephen and the rest of the team were so helpful and could not do enough for us. From check in, the wait staff and reservations, were all fantastic and we had an absolutely amazing day from start to finish. The food was excellent and our guests kept commenting on how amazing all their rooms were. Would highly recommend.

We had an absolutely amazing day in Rathsallagh House and it would not have been possible without the help of the exceptional Catherine and Gillian as well as the rest of the fantastic staff. The attention that we received as bride and groom was incredible. All of our guests were full of praise for the venue itself as well as the food and wine. Lastly, the Granary, where our ceremony was held was just gorgeous. This was a truly magical day for us and Rathsallagh helped make it as special as it was. We could not recommend Rathsallagh highly enough.

Our experience with Rathsallagh was amazing. Catherine, Gillian, Stephen, and the team made everything easy, there was no question too big or too small. They were always available and made the run up to the wedding completely stress free! The grounds, the house, the rooms, everything about Rathsallagh is magical! We had such a great weekend, hard to put into words but simply everthing couldn't have went better for us, you were all such a great help, from allowing us to use the backdrop to the last bottle of whiskey into the early hours and everything else in between, it just was amazing, the food and level of service was exceptional. Special mention to Tomas who was great throughout, Julie who ensured Alana was well hidden on her early arrival, Lisa who was great to have some calming chats with in the lead up, Stephen who was a pleasure to deal with as always and massive shout out to George the night porter who had the tough job of getting the last few punters onto the last taxi, so nice of him to bring us out to check on Missy before bed. Everthing went to plan and everone raving about how much fun they had. I know we ran over time a bit on the ceremony but I think it was so nice for everyone to mingle and have a drink before, it got the day off to the perfect start! So a massive thank you for pushing things back a wee bit and send my regards to the chef and the rest of the team, I don't know how they manage to cook so much beef to order, but it just was so good and everyone was raving a about the food

We celebrated our wedding day in Rathsallagh in February and we cannot recommend it enough. The staff went above and beyond for us on the day, in particular Stephen who was on hand throughout. Our guests had an amazing day, delighted with their unique bedrooms and fabulous food. The unique setting and intimate nature of the house sold it to us on our first visit and it reached beyond expectation on the day.

Myself and my husband celebrated our wedding in Rathsallagh House on February 8th. The O’Flynn family and all the staff at Rathsallagh were a pleasure to deal with, we particularly want to thank Julie, Stephen and Mary who were there on the day for all their hard work and making our day so special from start to finish and for treating us like Royalty from the minute we arrived!! The venue itself is so magical and we are so happy we picked Rathsallagh for our big day! So many of our guests complimented the grounds and setting and how cosy it was. And all our guests complimented the food! It was amazing, including the fantastic breakfast the following morning! They also complimented the fantastic staff who were so helpful and polite to everyone! Thank you from both us for making sure we had the perfect day! It truly was the best day!

The service and delivery at Rathsallgh was absolutely second to none. We were looked after right from the start, through the preparation and especially whilst we were there. We were organising the wedding from London and the team were always so helpful at providing contact details for suppliers. When we got to Rathsallagh we were treated like royalty with our every requirement seen to. The whole event was fantastic and we have had so many of our guests commenting on how amazing the food was, how attentive the staff were and how wonderful the setting/accommodation was. As the bride and groom, we were looked after especially well with lots of little touches throughout the day. We can't think of anything that could have made it better - they even managed to make the sun shine in February!

Our Rathsallagh wedding was magical. We were certain we'd enjoy our wedding but it surpassed our every dream. The staff were all so utterly thoughtful, considerate and polite to both us and every guest. We were treated like king and queen. The guests really appreciated how at home they felt and it created such a happy, relaxed ambiance the whole weekend. During the lead up to the wedding people would ask 'are you stressed?` And we'd reply no but its because of Rathsallagh. They said yes to every single request, big and small, and that was so appreciated by us. We are so grateful we had the good sense to choose Rathsallagh. When we met Catherine, one of 3 wedding planners who work together seemlessly, we were blown away, we knew we were in good hands and she made it clear she would ensure our day was perfect. Catherine is exceptional at her job. Stephen and Tomas who were with us through the wedding days were so pleasant, helpful and friendly. They would ensure any request was met. Rosie in reservations, dealt with hundreds of requests from me to hold a room, cancel a room, swap a room etc. She always got back to me with a solution like it was no big deal. It made it completely stress free. Our French crowd were blown away by everything - the location, the house, the wine, the food, the staff. And we all know the French think they've the best food and wine!! Both our families had such a wonderful time and it gave us the perfect opportunity to spend time with both families which is so rare for us. We are so, so grateful for everything. We will keep our special memories with us forever. A great start to our marriage.

From the get-go Catherine, one of their wedding planners was amazing. She totally turned our heads and hearts towards Rathsallagh as we thought we had our mind made up on somewhere else. The team went above and beyond for us throughout the lead up to our wedding, they were so helpful and open to suggestions and dedicated so much time to us. Totally putting us at ease and giving us full confidence in Rathsallagh and the team. The venue itself was a dream, so unique and full of character and it looked particularly stunning for our wedding at Christmas. It provided us the magical Christmas wedding we have always dreamt of. All of the staff were incredible from the first meeting, to the tasting and the day before and day of. The food was exceptional also throughout. Whether it was the wedding meal itself or the breakfast ham or welcome cookies...all our guests have been raving about the quality of the food. We have visited Rathsallagh in summer, autumn and winter and it really does lend itself to every season. We truly felt at home during every visit down and during the days we spent there for our wedding.

I cannot speak higher of rathsallagh as a wedding venue. Although they have so many weddings every week we were made feel like we were the first wedding they ever had. They made our day so special. They were so flexible and helpful. The food was incredible x we have so many wonderful memories from this venue and if we were to do it all over again I couldn't think of anywhere better. We got married at Christmas time. Our photographs on the grounds turned out beautifully with rathsallagh as the back drop! And don't forget the "tree". We got married in Rathsallagh in November and would not hesitate to recommend them to other couples. From the moment we viewed wedding venues, it was apparent that they had an attention to detail that no where else came close to. The place was in perfect condition on the day and we had a number of guests comment to us on the level of attention they received from staff on the day as well as on the quality of the food. We were very impressed with their ability to react on the day (e.g. putting food aside for guests whose car broke down, finding my handbag when I mislaid it). It was a great comfort to know that our guests were being well taken care of, while at the same time the setting and the homeliness of the place added a level of magic to our own experience. I think it is pretty clear from the many existing comments here and the ratings, that anyone who has had the joy of their wedding day at Rathsallagh House or even present as a guest, have come away more than pleased. The same certainly goes for Jo and I. If we could rate it more than 5 stars we certainly would. Rathsallagh House was one of many venues we viewed in the search for a place to host our wedding. We believed we would come back after viewing many venues and then decide. We had viewed a few places before Rathsallagh House, but when we did view it, we straight away new where we wanted our wedding day to be and booked in our date on the day of viewing. From day 1, we were made to feel so welcome, everyone telephone conversation the followed, we were made to feel so welcome. Rathsallagh conduct many wedding celebrations and ceremonies, yet we were made feel like ours was the only wedding that they had on, and I mean that in a way that, it was if all this effort was being put into ensuring we have such a magical day. But it is clear from all the other comments and ratings, that those same efforts were put into ensuring everyone else also had their magical day. We can take a lot away from our experience with those at Rathsallagh and Rathsallagh House itself. Many magical and happy memories were taken away with us on that day. And we know from the reactions of our guests the next day and days that followed, they felt the same. We look forward to creating more happy memories at Rathsallagh as Jo and I will be back again one day. We already miss it greatly! The staff make you feel like you are part of the family. Everyone felt so welcome. All our guests said the rooms were amazing and beds so comfy! The food has been discussed non stop. There are not enough words to describe how grateful we are for the incredible service we received during our wedding day. From the moment we first viewed Rathsallagh we knew it was the venue for us. All the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to create such a magical day for us. From the wedding team Catherine, Julie and Gillian who answered hundreds of emails from us and planned every single detail of our day perfectly. To the waiting staff at the tasting who were so friendly and offered us loads of advice and of course Joe who gave us a lovely welcome at the tasting and again on the big day. On the day itself everything went perfectly and this is thanks to the wonderful organisation skills of the team at Rathsallagh. The bar and waiting staff were extremely professional but super friendly creating a relaxed atmosphere which was so important to us. All our guests commented on how amazing the staff were. The food was superb and the chef catered to all the weird and wonderful dietary requirements some of which were a surprise on the day but this was no problem for Rathsallagh. The table settings were exactly what we had asked for and the team set it all up for us, we didn’t have to lift a finger. And if we weren’t already extremely impressed when we went to pack up all our stuff the next morning it had already been done. Everything was neatly packed away and waiting for us in reception. This was an unbelievably nice touch especially as you can imagine we were fairly tired the next morning! If there was any problems on the day we certainly didn't hear about them and that’s the sign of pure professionalism. We would like to say a special thank you to Julie. Julie showed us around Rathsallagh that first day and helped us with every single detail there after. Nothing was too big or too small she even remembered details about the wedding we had suggested that we had actually forgot about!! I was so glad to see her on the day as not only is she incredibly professional and organised she is so lovely and fun it was like having a friend looking after us for the day! We would also like to thank Stephen the duty manger. We had never met Stephen before the day but that didn’t matter he made us feel so comfortable straight away and we felt we were in great hands with him. Everything ran like clock work. Weddings are stressful and there is a lot going on but with Julie and Stephen we didn’t have to worry about a thing and for that we are so grateful. It wouldn’t have been the same without them. The staff at Rathsallagh were so genuinely warm, supportive, and attentive from our first inquiry to them, throughout every phone call and email during the planning process and into our big day. While planning from Boston, they made us feel like we were the only couple they were working with, which is a testament to their skill and immense experience. It was clear that they were invested in our wedding which is a rare thing to experience from such a successful, in-demand location! The venue itself is truly breathtaking in every way and transported us to a timeless world that set the stage for the day we will remember for the rest of our lives. Our guests were in awe of the decor, food, and hospitality. We had our wedding in Rathsallagh House 12 October 2018,what can we say we were blown away - the staff in Rathsallagh could not have done enough for us, the food, the surroundings, atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. The only words I can use to describe Rathsallagh house as a wedding venue are ‘absolutely amazing’. The venue itself is beautiful and has a worldly charm and family feel. The grounds are beautiful and all the lights everywhere make it look magical at night. From the first time we spoke to Joe, we knew rathsallagh was the venue for us, everything was so personal and the staff really take an interest in your wedding. The wedding coordinators are amazing, attentive and very professional. Nothing was too much and all our requests were actioned, even down to the small details. Magical from start to finish. We had our wedding reception and second day here in Sep. 2018 and it was truly the best day of our lives. From the minute we viewed Rathsallagh and got our initial tour from Gillian we knew this place was the one for us. It gave us all the feels-homely, friendly, beautiful, professional, unique and perfect for us. We can’t say enough about all the people we dealt with throughout the planning. No question or request (especially last minute!) was any trouble and the professionalism, work ethic, genuine care and thoughtfulness of Gillian, Catherine and Julie put us at such ease. Thank you so much for all you did. Gillian was with us on the day and again she was brilliant, as were all the staff at our reception and over the weekend. It was great to have a familiar face that had looked after us so well all through the planning and then on the day as well. Stephen took over running the reception from Gillian later in the day, and was equally as kind and helpful as Gillian and all of the staff at Rathsallagh. He looked after us fantastically. Thank you to all the bar and serving staff, especially Charlie, the reception staff, room staff and Joe and Kay O’Flynn. In particular Kay and Charlie,and another young man whose name escapes us, were a great help when one of our relations took ill in the middle of the night, thank you so much. We obviously had great confidence and hopes that everything would go really well but on the day, and over the weekend, Rathsallagh massively exceeded our expectations. All our guests were blown away by how amazing and special the venue was. We got so many wonderful comments about the food (reception & second day bbq), the grounds, how nice the staff were and the beautiful bedrooms. We’re trying here, but really cannot put into words how grateful we are to Rathsallagh for everything they done over the course of planning the wedding, the day of the reception, and the day after as well. When we viewed Rathsallagh the first time we knew it was exactly the venue we wanted, the service and attention to detail from the staff could not be faulted. Also there food was highly rated and we wanted to ensure we had good food for the guests. We spent the night before at the venue also, the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Everything went perfect on the day and we cannot thank Joe and his staff enough for all their help. Our guest are still talking about the venue, its goregous food and the staff. My husband & I can’t speak highly enough of the team at Rathsallagh. From beginning to end they were absolutley fantastic to deal with & gave us the wedding reception we always dreamed of. Not only did they look after us with 5 star quality but also every one of our guests, who all thoroughly enjoyed their day at Rathsallagh. Amazing experience from the moment we set foot in the door to view the venue. We were absolutely not set on having our wedding there but as soon as we met the staff we fell in love with not just the setting put how at ease we felt. They could not have done more for us, and were so accommodating throughout the whole process - nothing was a problem. The day could not have gone better, and the organisation was amazing - everything and everyone were where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be and every detail was perfect, we didn't have to lift a finger. The amazing service and experience carried on to our second day which just made the whole weekend all the more amazing from start to finish... wish we could do it all again!!! :)

Gillian, our coordinator on the day, was superb - she was so attentive with many great suggestions throughout the day to help everything flow smoothly. The planning team helping us plan in advance couldn't have been more helpful, responding to any and all queries, and accommodating all requests! The staff on the day were meticulous and exact with our instructions on decorations & decor, making the venue into our own for an incredible celebration. They were so helpful throughout, ready with any help needed throughout the day. The food and catering was also fantastic - we really enjoyed every meal throughout the day, and so many of our guests have also commented on how impressed they were with the food. Rathsallagh's grounds were a very special place to have our wedding - the granary room is a beautiful ceremony room, and we felt very special holding our own ceremony there. The outdoor space was beautiful, giving us the option to be outside for photos and the drinks reception when the weather was good, and the lovely reception rooms then came into their own later on. The marquee itself is a wonderful space, lighting makes it look really special as night came in, and the dancefloor and bar kept everyone there til late. The accommodation is absolute luxury, all guests commented on how much they enjoyed their stay. We couldn't praise Rathsallagh any more highly, and have been recommending it to anyone and everyone who will listen. Thank you!

We were delighted with our wedding at Rathsallagh, it was absolutely wonderful! We found Catherine, Gillian, Julie & Rosie so easy to deal with and they were always so helpful. They are a credit to the place, so hardworking and helpful, they make you feel like your wedding is the only one! Catherine was brilliant on the day itself, everything ran like clockwork and we didn't have to worry about anything. She even managed to move the flower arch from the ceremony into the pavilion which was a lovely surprise! The room was set up so beautifully on the day, Steve, the duty manager in the evening was also really helpful and we were delighted with how quick the meals came out etc. We had such a wonderful day at Rathsallagh and we couldn't speak highly enough of it. We got married at Rathsallagh House in August of 2018, and honestly, we could not have asked for a better experience. First and foremost, the house and the grounds are amazing. Our wedding day itself was wet and drizzly, and even in those conditions, it was breathtaking. The grounds are immaculate and the house is the most comfortable and homely venue we have ever been to. We knew the second we drove up to the house and walked around the estate that this was the only venue we wanted to be married at - and we saw a fair few! While the grounds themselves are amazing, the entire team at Rathsallagh is responsible for making the place what it is. The wedding team at Rathsallagh are second to none, and could not have done more in the months and weeks leading up to the big day. They made what is a stressful process as easy as it possibly could have been. We would like to give a special thanks to Gillian, Stephen, George, and all the other staff, who contributed to making our wedding day as wonderful as it was. Rathsallagh House has a fantastic reputation for a reason – the people are some of the best in the business and the venue is one of the best in the country. We would highly recommend Rathsallagh to any couple looking for a beautiful and unique venue with high-quality service.

We loved every minute of our wedding with Rathsallagh! Our guests were blown away with the accommodation, service and grounds of the hotel. Everyone commented on the great service and we would like to especially thank Gillian for her support and enabling us to get married outside even though it had rained all morning, it really made our day! Would also like to call out Stephen for his service and attention to detail on the night. Nothing was too much trouble, they even got crisps from staff vending machine for the kids! Also the patient and attentive barman, George for facilitating the after party! Wish we could do it all again!

We had our wedding day in Rathsallagh in July. I couldn’t praise them enough! So helpful via email in the run up to the day, Gillian made us feel like we were the only wedding at Rathsallagh that Year! She had so much time for us and was so lovely. On the day everything was absolutely fantastic! Even the younger members of staff - big shout out to Dylan! All our guests were so impressed with being greeted by the team as they came in and given the keys to their rooms. Food was fabulous - even nicer than at our tasting! The prosecco and wine flowed all day and the party went on into the small hours as promised! We loved Rathsallagh as a venue right from the very first viewing, but we were blown away by the warmth and professionalism of the service on the day! Pros at what they do! Couldn’t recommend enough!

We recently had our wedding reception in Rathsallagh house and I can honestly say it was completely perfect. It was the only wedding venue we viewed and we knew from our first visit that it was where we wanted to get married. We found the staff so helpful and accommodating, responding to any queries we had quickly. We live in Belfast and so did most of our planning via phone and email, and all of the wedding planners were easily accessible whenever we needed them. However, whenever we did go down we were always struck by the staff as a whole, on occasion a receptionist showed us around and into different bedrooms, on another visit a member of the house keeping staff and on a third one of the wait staff. I'm sure it is not in their job description to do tours of the grounds but they all obliged so willingly. On more than one occasion my husband emailed the owner after a visit to commend the excellent service we received from the staff. As most of our guests travelled from co Antrim and co Tyrone the night before the wedding we decided to have a buffet meal to begin our celebrations. We had not thought much about This, putting the majority of our planning into the actual wedding day but the night before ended up being a brilliant night. Our guests were so impressed with the quality of the food and felt the term 'buffet' failed to do it justice. It was a three course meal and a great opportunity to get all our guests mingling. There also was a world cup match on that my husband wanted to be shown and this was accommodated without problem- the people watching the football were able to carry their meal into the bar without any fuss. Mary, who was overseeing the event, was beyond helpful and made sure everything ran like clockwork. On the day itself myself and my husband both got ready on the premises in two separate buildings. I can speak for both of us when I say we were made feel like the only bride and groom who have ever gotten married there. I had food carried up to my room, my hairdresser and make up artist were so well looked after and the staff kept checking to make sure I didn't need anything else. When we came back after the ceremony we were greeted by Gillian, one of the wedding co ordinators, with champagne. She then asked would I like her to go and get my lipstick from my room to touch it up before our photos and she went and got it and then we went into the restrooms and she applied it for me and helped fix my veil - such a lovely gesture that was so greatly appreciated! That is just one example of one of the little things that were provided by rathsallagh that helped our day go perfectly. During the meal Stephen, another manager, discretely lifted my veil and put it in the bridal suite. When our day was over and we went up to our room there was a selection of our buffet food, some of our cake and some sandwiches, and a bottle of champagne, for us to relive our day. It was so appreciated! Since our wedding we have heard nothing but fantastic reports from our guests, and it makes us both so proud and happy that we chose rathsallagh. I feel it was a really unique location, the grounds,the rooms, the reception area etc are all so beautiful and I can't imagine another venue being as perfect. Moreover, the morning after our wedding, we were in no way made feel like there was another wedding that day. There was no rush to get us off the premises and I so appreciated That, as it still made us feel special as the bride and groom for a while longer. I hope this review has been helpful, I honestly can't enthuse enough about the venue, the staff and our whole experience.

We really couldn't thank Rathsallagh House and all the staff enough for everything they helped us with and delivered in the lead up to and on the day of our wedding. We were absolutely delighted with how everything turned out on the day and all of our guests commented on the venue, reception, food, accommodation and friendly and helpful nature of all of the staff. We could not rate Rathsallagh highly enough for making our wedding the most special day. They had thought of every little detail and the day ran like clockwork, we didn’t need to stress over any details whatsosever. Myself and Paul had so much fun, we were so relaxed and really got to enjoy the day with all our friends and families. If I didn’t know better I’d say they arranged the weather too! The resounding feedback from all of our guests was what an amazing venue and how wonderful and welcoming every member of staff was. The place really felt like home for our special day. The wedding team were so responsive and kept us organised in the months leading up to the wedding. They were so professional and helpful, their experience really helped make the whole experience so easy. The staff throughout the day were on hand to cater for every guest, even catering for the coeliac, no onion vegetarians on the day with the evening sandwiches! ( that was a real test!) The food was out of this world, people are still raving about the dinner and the breakfast too, everything was delicious. The assistance with catering for various menus, family rooms, lodges was all done so easily and ourselves and our guest were blown away with the rooms and the hospitality. our photographs of the beautiful gardens in full bloom are like something from a magazine! We will treasure so many happy memories and can’t thank Rathsallagh and all the staff enough.

We got married in Rathsallagh in May and can't recommend it highly enough. Our families and guests were all raving about the venue- the delicious food, the beautiful rooms and the stunning grounds. The permanent marquee was lovely and comfortable and it was great to have the dance floor, bar (which was well staffed) and bathrooms all in one place. The service was excellent both before and during the wedding and we’d particularly like to thank Catherine and Stephen who made the weekend really special for us and couldn’t have been more helpful.

We choose to have our wedding in Rathsallagh House back in May 2016. From the first visit we were welcomed with sincere warmth, meeting the owner Joe and having him show us around this beautiful venue made our choice very easy. From that point onward every member of the wedding co-ordination team and indeed every employee was so professional and warm to us. As we stated in our speech on our wedding day, "Each Employee is an important cog in a well-oiled machine". We cannot recommend highly enough this venue for your wedding. Our wedding day was amazing and one we will never forget and a big part of that is because of the Management and Staff in Rathsallagh House. From our guests driving up the beautiful avenue to be greeted personally right through to the checkout the following morning they wanted for nothing. We had our wedding in Rathsallagh in May 2018! It was the first venue that we viewed following our engagement and after viewing only one more venue, we knew Rathsallagh was for us. The wedding coordinators were extremely professional and so helpful on the lead up to the wedding and on the wedding day. They always responded very speedily and with useful answers to any question that we had. We honestly had the best day at our wedding! It was such a sunny day and the grounds are stunning so our guests got to really enjoy the venue as we had our drinks reception half inside/half outside. Rathsallagh set up games outside for us which was a lovely touch as we had a number of children at our wedding, including our own toddler! Also, it was very handy for us as we could organise babysitters through Rathsallagh at a reasonable price! The food was delicious for every course and the Pavilion was a perfect setting for our wedding as you could look out on to the grounds while having dinner. The staff were very attentive and made sure that the wine was flowing throughout the meal too! The accommodation was lovely and nearly every room is different so it didn’t seem like a typical hotel vibe which was what we were looking for. I can’t recommend this venue enough! While we had an absolutely fantastic day, it was so nice for us to hear what a great day our guests had as well. A couple even said it was the best wedding venue that they’d ever been to!

If you are considering Rathsallagh as a wedding venue, do yourself a favour and book it! Rathsallagh was the first and only wedding venue we visited. After that first visit with Julie, we knew we had to look no further. Rathsallagh has everthing you could wish for - delicious food, gorgeous grounds for photos, country charm, beautiful guest bedrooms, outstanding service from all of the staff (you will be looked after so well) and a perfect function room! There was nothing that the excellent wedding coordinators wouldnt do for us and they were brilliant for keeping in contact, giving us guidance and helping us with the entire planning process. We had our wedding in Rathsallagh House on the 21st of April 2018 with 110 guests. The service and professionalism was second to none. I can not recommend Rathsallagh House highly enough. All our guests commented on the excellent service from the moment they arrived in the car park. Guests also were highly complimentary of the food. The wedding co-ordinators are extremely proficient and always replied to every email no matter how trivial. The venue exudes opulence and understated elegance. The attention to detail is first class. I would definitely recommend Rathsallagh House for any wedding big or small.

We got married in Rathsallagh House in April 2018 and had an amazing experience overall! Rathsallagh was a fantastic venue, all guests were greeted warmly following the beautiful drive up to the house. The grounds are a beautiful setting for photos. I was a guest at a wedding on 31/03/2018. It is probably one of the the best venues in Ireland for a wedding - from the ceremony to the reception and everything in between. The staff are just a pleasure to deal with, so unbelievably professional, helpful and attentive with a great sense of humor!! The meal was just beautiful - all the guests I spoke to remarked on it. The breakfast next morning was top class, so fresh and beautifully presented, just anything you wanted.. Accommodation was fabulous, beautifully decorated and warm. We got the best nights sleep which was welcome after a long day. The wedding party were thrilled with Rathsallagh House. The owners, the O’Flynn family made us feel so welcome and we really look forward to going back again soon.. Highly recommended for any event especially weddings.. Where to begin...we can't thank the staff working at Rathsallagh enough...they were so incredibly helpful both on the day itself as well as the lead up. Julie was brilliant and so friendly. Both Paraic and myself thoroughly enjoyed the day/night. We had many guests tell us that it was the best wedding that they had been to and that the lamb was "to die for". We are not exaggerating when we say that everything about their service exceeded our expectations (including the weather!!). We never dreamed of having a white wedding! GIllian was there with us on the day and she was outstanding. She got us out of a very tricky situation; she was quick on her feet yet calm and composed. She kept Paraic calm, the bridesmaids warm and I just loved her - she was very reassuring. We were the first couple to get married in the granary and it was just perfect on the day; the lighting, the flowers, the seating everything was perfect. The canapes were delicious....our meal tasted as nice as it did a few months back when we were invited to do our food tasting. It also meant so much to us when Joe said to us that we should feel at home and to "party hard". I could go on and on and on. Thank you Rathsallagh, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping to make our day so truly special. We're still smiling :)

the whole process ran like a dream. Rathsallagh were completely on the ball from the word go. It was amazing. I couldnt fault it at all. any queries i had were all responded to straight away. We had snow the night of our wedding and alot of guests couldnt get back to BnBs however Rathsallagh provided blankets and kept the fires going all night for people to stay, they provided them with food and drinks and offered them breakfast the next day. was just fab

Where to start!!! From the moment we first visited Rathsallagh when looking for wedding venues we knew it was the one for us. The grounds were breathtaking and the team so very welcoming. We knew that Jo, Catherine and the team would be able to make our wedding wishes come true. We were lucky enough to stay at Rathsallagh over three nights. This also meant a lot of planning and communication with the team. Everyone was so responsive to our multiple questions and requests making all three days go so smoothly. Our family and friends loved every second of the weekend. How could you not with the sweeping country grounds, amazing food and wonderful accommodation. The wedding day itself was perfect. The team did everything that they could and anticipated every next step. We couldn't have imagined a better wedding and would highly highly recommend Rathsallagh House.

Such a high rating may seem daft but to be honest we could not fault Rathsallagh House in any way. The Wedding Team, headed up by Catherine, are exceptional. They are calm and understated but their attention to detail is incredible - they just got us from the start! We had in excess of 150 guests and the feedback from them has been amazing. Apart from compliments on ambiance, food and service - they all raved about their accommodation and breakfast the following morning. We had our Ceremony in the wood paneled room and afterwards dinner, dancing and drinks in the Pavilion. The entire day just flowed beautifully. We are so pleased that we had our special day at Rathsallagh and thank you to Catherine and her Team for such great memories.

Rathsallagh could not have been a better venue for our wedding. Having viewed up to 10 separate venues of a similar style, Rathsallagh stuck in our minds for a number of reasons. The venue is fabulous, not too far from Dublin, and evokes a relaxed and intimate vibe. Open fires, homely decor and gorgeous rooms helped create a lovely atmosphere. The wedding team handled our queries quickly and always made themselves available to help. We never felt pressured into anything, and the team offered many suggestions based on their vast wedding experience. We received so many positive comments from wedding guests after the wedding; from the quality of the rooms to the amazing food and the picturesque grounds around the house. All of this helped create a memorable wedding day for us and we would highly recommend Rathsallagh for any couple on the search for a venue.

No wonder they have won so many awards as they deserve it so much Don’t think there are words to convey exactly how amazing Rathsallagh is as a wedding venue - all I still keep hearing from our guests was what an amazing wedding and venue it was. My background is Event Management and I’ve been in and out of nearly every hotel in Ireland and knew what I wanted for my day after organising 1000 ‘s of events for work ! From the day we met Joe it was all about us and what we wanted for our day and they did not disappoint - we booked immediately . Catherine / Gillian & Julie are amazing to deal with and they are such professionals at this you don’t have to think of a think as they have everything sorted for you. The location / the setting /the staff / the rooms / the food / absolutely everything is 5 star plus service. The biggest thing with Rathsallagh is they do this all the time and they do it well - one of the biggest things to ensure no stress or worry for a bride as they have it all under control and run everything like clockwork - even down to small things like I had table settings / display for the room and I had not even seen the room till I walked in as a bride and everything was perfect. The day went so fast I wish I could go back and do it all again as we had such a fantastic day and that is thanks to Joe Catherine and their amazing team

We couldn't recommend Rathsallagh House and the team any more! Right from the beginning when we met Joe at a viewing we were made to feel so welcome, and it didn't take us long to lock in the date. We had the challenge of organising our wedding from Japan where we were living the year before the wedding. However, Joe and his amazing team of Gillian, Catherine and Julie were so helpful and provided all the support we needed, as well as helping us to chose our vendors including the lovely celebrant Mary and Orla the harpist/ singer. The team were so honest in helping us decide what extras we needed, and never once tried to over sell. We used the Orangery for our ceremony, and it was just perfect and didn't really need much done to it. The day itself was magical, in the first week of December when the venue was decorated for Christmas. All our guests said Rathsallagh House and the grounds were like a fairytale setting, and the food was honestly the best they ever had at a wedding. The beef is sensational, and cooked to order for over 100 guests. All the staff will go the extra mile for you, and we don't have any complaints apart from that the day went too quickly. The accommodation is top notch too, and all our guests staying loved it. In summary if you're looking for a great looking venue with atmosphere, sensational food, and faultless service then Rathsallagh is for you!

We had our wedding in Reception in Rathsallagh in October 2017. Everything was just perfect. The rooms, the meal, the service, the way the room was set up with our few little 'bits and props'. We particularly loved when we were brought to our room after the drinks reception for a breather.. it was much needed and we wouldn't have gotten the opportunity if you hadn't suggested it. Padraig was particularly grateful for the Jameson and coke provided at his dinner place before the speeches!! :) It was so lovely to hear so many glowing stories from our guests of the amazing individual service they received. Every story we heard, every single guest was made to feel special and we really appreciate that. One of our guests was a chef in a restaurant in Jersey who are currently working towards their Michelin star. He was hugely impressed with his rare beef. He even conceded that his restaurant could not pull off beef cooked to that standard with such a large crowd. So serious compliments to the chef. The meal overall was excellent and everyone seemed very happy. Could go on and on but just wanted to say a huge thank you. We couldn't recommend Rathsallagh more to any newly engaged couple!

We absolutely loved Rathsallagh and would highly recommend them as a Wedding venue! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and there is lots of variety7 for photos! The food was amazing and we cannot thank the staff enough for their incredible efforts! All of our guests commended the staff and the manager looking after us, Stephen, only needed a moment of our time on the day to make sure everything was set up as we wanted it! We had no concerns on the day whatsoever as everything was taken care of!

Everything on the day was perfect - the arrivals reception and pavilion were beautifully decorated - there are so many beautiful photo opportunities both inside and outside (the big tree is amazing!), the food was out of this world - both the wedding meal and the breakfast the next morning, stunning bedrooms. The staff went above and beyond on the day for us and all of our guests. We have received such wonderful feedback from everybody. I have to mention Stephen in particular - he was absolutely fantastic on the day. Our day was so relaxed from start to finish - a truly magical day. It was a picture perfect day with some of the leaves having turned amber in the early autumn month, the country house was just stunning ! Our guests are still raving about the food, service, the amazing bedrooms (some who claim could fit their cars in, as their rooms were so big!! ) and the function room which was decorated so beautifully, especially the flower arrangements that came from the walled gardens. The meal was excellent and not one guest had a negative thing to say about any aspect of the service, food or venue. Highly recommend Rathsallagh to anyone it is a unique venue with great character and charm , the staff are very knowledgeable and efficient. I found them to be willing to bend over backwards to help with all manner of questions and issues that pop up in the run up to the big day.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding day at Rathsallagh recently. Everything from start to finish was even better than we ever could have imagined! We recently got married In Rathsallagh and from start to finish the whole experience was out of this world. From when we met with the co-coordinators to the day after the wedding, every one could not do enough for us. The service we received was extremely personal and friendly. There was never a question or request that was too big or not possible- they tried to accommodate every little detail that we requested. I really could not rate this venue high enough, 5 stars does not come close to doing it justice!

Wow where to start. Rathsallagh is such a special place and my husband and I couldn't be happier with our choice. We were organizing the wedding from Canada so didn't get to see the grounds until a few days before the wedding! Even so from the pictures and the communication with Joe, Gillian, Catherine and the team we knew it was going to be perfect. The girls were so helpful with all the back and forth e-mails leading up to the day, nothing was a bother. Words could not describe how I felt pulling up to Rathsallagh in person and walking around the grounds for the first time, it was beyond my imagination. We had made it a 2 day celebration and most of us stayed for 3 nights. All the rooms were stunning and we managed to get a gorgeous day so were able to have the ceremony in the outdoor gardens along with the reception which was a dream!! The walled gardens were also perfect for our first look with our photographers! From the moment we were on site the staff took such good care of us. They all went above and beyond and all of our guests took notice. The food was delicious, 5 star on both the wedding and the BBQ and the breakfasts were also delicious with so many options! Special thanks to Gillian and Stephen for taking such good care of us, they were brilliant. All our guests are still raving about the best wedding ever! Thanks Rathsallagh!!! We would just like to say what an amazing time we had at our Wedding last Saturday (29.07.17). It was a brilliant time and all our family and friends are still raving about it. We had guests over from US, UK and all over Ireland, that said it was the best Wedding they had ever been to! It was such an intimate setting with stunning grounds for photographs. The staff are absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for us. A number of guests commented on their professional approach and friendly manner. We cannot wait to get back to Rathsallagh House soon again and would have no hesitation recommending them to any couple.

Pending review The most magical day- our wedding at Rathsallagh July 2017 We had our wedding reception in Rathsallagh in July 2017. The whole day was perfect from beginning to end. The reception started at 3.30 and finished at 6am! With 18 months of planning Catherine, Gillian and Julie could not do enough for us. We planned our wedding from New Zealand and the communication was just excellent. We had many beautiful venues to choose from and are 100% happy that we chose Rathsallagh. The grounds are spectacular in the summer and the drinks reception can be held in the walled garden or the front garden looking out on the grounds- both locations equally as nice. The wedding coordinators and staff here are excellent and the O'Flynn family should be very proud of what they have achieved. The guest rooms are very spacious, well decorated, comfortable and luxurious.The only downside (and our guests all agreed) was that we had to leave the next day!! Having said that, we had an impromptu music session after breakfast and guests were still hanging around well after 1pm and at no stage did staff approach us to leave the grounds- nicely done. There was a great sense of personal touch throughout the day- Kay O' Flynn, one of the owners, even walked with my husband and I from the gardens to the Pavilion offering her congratulations and checking if there was anything more they could do for us on the day, while she carried the train of my dress. Good food was top of our list of priorities and after a mammoth tasting session in January we were so pleased with the food on the day N.B the pork belly starter is TO DIE FOR and our guests were all begging for more. Cooking for 120 people can't be easy but each dish was beautifully presented and the meals all delicious. Many of the venues we viewed had a sense of conveyer-belt-weddings about them and it was truly off putting- Rathsallagh really sets itself apart in this way. It is obvious that the O'Flynns care more about making your day perfect than making a large profit and for this reason they will continue to host wedding for decades to come. Where do I even begin. The venue itself is breathtakingly stunning. The staff could not have done enough for us in the run up to the big day and on our wedding day. Our expectations were surpassed with the service and attention to detail. Would highly recommend this venue to everyone planning their wedding. Could honestly not fault them on anything.

I don't even know where to begin writing this review of the most important day of our lives. Every single thing was perfect from start to finish and we honestly wouldn't change a thing. The wedding team: We first met with Catherine back in August 2015. Rathsallagh was our last viewing of 10 places within 3 days (we live in London so did it all in one go), and we just knew straight away that it was the place for us. I felt in safe hands from the very beginning, all the ladies on the wedding team are amazing - always replied to emails promptly, answered all my questions and nothing ever seemed to be a problem. They were so helpful with every aspect of the wedding. We decided to have the wedding reception on a Saturday and a BBQ on the Sunday - it was such a good decision as we had the place to ourselves all weekend and got to relax a bit more on Sunday! All the staff working across the weekend were so amazing, Steve & Mary were such a calming presence on the day (I don't think there was any issues and if there was I still don't know about them!!) and making everything work behind the scenes. Steve is a real credit to Rathsallagh - he is such a lovely guy. The food was absolutely out of this world all weekend. For our wedding meal we chose the beef and it was amazing - cooked to order for every person. Breakfast was the nicest we've ever had. And the BBQ on Sunday - wow. It really exceeded my expectations. The range of salads and food in general was incredible. A local man- Dermot - provided the pig on the spit for the BBQ and it was soo so delicious and he was such an interesting and nice guy. I was blown away when I saw the pavilion and how beautifully Rathsallagh had decorated it. I dropped down decorations, guest book, candy table etc.the week of the wedding and they placed it all out on the morning. It was just perfect and so amazing to see it all come together after all the months of planning and ordering things! Everyone was so impressed with the accommodation, as were we. I can't wait until we can go back and stay again! Our guests are still talking about the wedding and we had so many wonderful comments about Rathsallagh. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and Rathsallagh played a big part in that. From the minute we viewed the venue we knew it was exactly what we wanted. The grounds and house are stunning for a wedding. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was happy and that the day ran smoothly. Our guests are still raving about Rathsallagh over a month later! They loved the accommodation, the food and the professionalism of the staff. I believe the scones at the drinks reception were renamed "little drops of heaven" by one of our guests. Another guest who is a professional chef himself was very impressed with the food and he is a hard man to impress! Overall we can't express how happy we were with the whole day and experience with Rathsallagh. Rathsallagh House...where do I start!! We recently got married at Rathsallagh House in June 2017 and what a venue! We received amazing service from the minute we contacted Rathsallagh for information. We live abroad and not only did Joe respond in detail to every question we had, he also kindly held a Skype call with us to view the grounds. Joe talked us through every room and every possibility for our wedding day and included some great stories and laughs for us too. We knew right away that this was the venue for us! The planning of the wedding couldn't have been easier with the lovely ladies at Rathsallagh. These wedding planners don't miss a thing!! Planning a wedding from abroad is not easy, but they helped in every way. They prompted us at the right times and provided templates and spreadsheets to make the preparations that much easier. They were always kind, understanding and responded to our emails immediately. They took away so much of our stress and we are so grateful for that! We decided to stay at Rathsallagh the night before our wedding. This was one of the best decisions we could have made! It was so exciting turning up the day before and having the extra time to prepare. The staff were unbelievable from the minute we arrived! The men had planned to play golf while the ladies prepared and completed finishing touched. The staff took care of all the heavy lifting and told the men to go have fun :) I will never forget how helpful the staff were at this time. In particular, to my Mum. My Mum was not well and they treated her like a Queen and ensured she was comfortable. They showed her to her room, brought her tea and sandwiches and took care of her all afternoon so that I could continue with the preparations. That is not the type of service you come by every day and it meant so much to me. That evening we enjoyed a beautiful meal with our close family and friends. It was the perfect way to begin our celebrations! The day of our wedding was perfect from start to finish. The lovely wedding planners checked in with me several times while getting ready to see if I wanted food or drink, or anything for that matter!! We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day which made the grounds look twice as beautiful as they already are! The rooms, as we already knew, were spectacular. It was so lovely hearing all the guests speak about their rooms and the different characteristics each one had. The meal was perfect in every way! The service, the food, the atmosphere. All our guests raved about the food for days after. Everything ran smoothly and if something went wrong, we were none the wiser! The staff know what they are doing and planned it to perfection. The checked in with me from time to time, but never bothered us. They advised that we have a family member or friend as a point of contact to make decisions for us on the day if we were busy, which was a wonderful idea. The two days we spent at Rathsallagh is a time we will never forget. It felt like home! It will always have a special meaning to us and we couldn't be more thankful to Joe and all the staff. If I could give someone one piece of advice if they are considering booking Rathsallagh, DO IT! And book in for the night before too... you wont regret it :)

From the minute we drove up the avenue to view Rathsallagh house for the first time we were sold and knew it was our venue. The old world charm and stunning setting of the hotel was just what we wanted for our special day. There were so many options for our ceremony and the fact that you have exclusive use of the venue for your wedding was just what we wanted as we were having a small wedding. The staff are so warm and friendly and the food is excellent. The rooms are all decorated differently and each and every one of them are stunning. The grounds of the hotel are really well maintained and there are so many beautiful opportunities for photographs within the estate that there's no need to go off elsewhere and spend ages away from your guests. We had our ceremony in the walled garden and the drinks reception followed afterwards in the same place, we were blessed with a scorcher of a day and so everyone enjoyed their drinks in the sun. Having the ceremony and reception in the one place made for a very relaxed day, we knew we were in great hands. It's not hard to see why Rathsallagh were voted Wedding Venue of the year. They deserve all the recognition they have gotten. So many of our guests spoke about how friendly and helpful each and every member of the staff were. Rathsallagh is now our very special place and we hope to return frequently for years to come.

We cannot thank the staff at Rathsallagh for being so helpful in the build up to our wedding and so amazing on the day itself. All the staff were so friendly and it created such a relaxing fun atmosphere, they are a credit to rathsallagh. The venue was just incredible, it is such a beautiful unique setting. It was so great to have the whole place to ourselves for the two days, it was like having everyone in our own home and not a wedding venue. The food was also excellent, everyone was raving about it especially the extra helpings and the pig on the spit on the second day. We had a lot of guests who travelled from Australia and England and they had never experienced what an Irish wedding was like and they said it was unbelievable. I would highly recommend rathsallagh to anyone getting married it was just perfect, I only wish we could do it all over again!!!

I honestly cannot thank you both for everything you did for myself and Niall not only on our wedding day but in the lead up to it also, nothing was ever any hassle. We had our wedding at Rathsallagh on 1st May 2017 and had the best day of our lives. We only went to see one other venue before choosing Rathsallagh as we fell in love with the place on our first visit. We loved the relaxed, homely atmosphere and Joe made us feel right at home, treating us to coffee and the nicest homemade biscuits ever. Having heard great things about their food, we were relieved when we went for our tasting and found the food to be fantastic. We also went to Sunday lunch with both sets of parents before the big day and we’d highly recommend this – the food was exceptional and we had a fantastic afternoon in anticipation of the big day. With regards to the planning of the day, the wedding coordinators were all amazing. We had contact with Catherine, Gillian and Julie, as well as Maeve who was very quick at getting back to any queries we had. All of the girls were fantastic to deal with. From booking the date in, right up to the day itself they were so organized and all over everything. Catherine was with us on the day itself and she was so so welcoming when we arrived after the ceremony. She even trekked around the grounds to find us when we were off getting our photos taken to say goodbye and that Stephen would be stepping in for the evening. Stephen was an absolute gentleman, and even though we were running a bit behind time coming into the room for dinner as our photographer had taken us off, he didn’t rush us at all. We were blessed to have a sunny afternoon so everyone was out in the garden for the drinks reception which really added to the day. We loved that the place was ours for the day and all the staff really do make you feel at home. All of our guests raved about the delicious food, the amazing staff, the beautiful bedrooms and the stunning grounds. Overall, we would have no hesitation in recommending Rathsallagh for your wedding. Rathsallagh have gotten the balance exactly right of making you feel like you are the only person ever to get married there and making it feel so special, but with the experience and understanding of running a wedding event so everything runs like clockwork. Rathsallagh House is a very special place, and we feel extremely lucky that we got to have our wedding here. Our priorities were an amazing and unique venue with great food and a warm welcoming atmosphere; Rathsallagh provided this like no other venue could. Gillian, our wedding coordinator, is an absolute gem - from start to finish she provided the personal touch and made us feel as if we were the only couple to ever get married at Rathsallagh! On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly and this is solely thanks to Rathsallagh's depth of experience and attention to detail. We had a humanist wedding on site, and everybody loved the relaxed intimate atmosphere in the beautiful wood-panelled room. In addition, the stunning grounds make the perfect backdrop for our photos. Our guests are still raving about the spectacular bedrooms, the delicious food, and the great service at the wedding. We actually visited Rathsallagh the night after we got engaged so it will always have a special place in our hearts and we look forward to visiting it again and again for years to come. Rathsallagh House was the most perfect venue for our wedding. Everybody involved there and particularly the wedding coordinators couldn't have been more helpful and professional and everybody worked to ensure our every wish and need were met. The venue itself from the walled garden where we had our ceremony, to the house area and the pavillion and gardens and outdoor areas were just as we wanted- so welcoming and beautiful. The food was without fault and really and truly, our whole experience of Rathsallagh couldn't have been better. I would highly recommend this venue for a beautiful, warm and wonderful wedding.

The most important thing I can say about this venue is that we cannot compliment our wedding coordinator (Gillian) or any of the wider Rathsallagh team enough. From start to finish, they aimed to make our preparation as easy as possible and we hadn't the slightest concern leading up to the day that what we'd hoped for wouldn't be delivered. The grounds, house, rooms are all beautiful and our guests loved everything about their experience. As the bride and groom, we had a fantastic day and couldn't have asked for better. We can't wait to go back.

The staff at Rathsallagh were beyond helpful, friendly and so accommodating. I have heard nothing but positive comments from our guests about the day, the venue, the food and even the parking arrangements on the day. Every small detail was considered so that there problems on the day. The guests loved their rooms and this is probably an area that understated on their website for the quality of the rooms that you are getting. As a couple we could not have wished for a better service from start to finish for our perfect day.

We loved the venue and are so happy we chose to have it there. It is 5 star in every aspect but instead of that feeling where you feel slightly out of place because of that its the absolute opposite because its like walking into a good friend or relations home when you arrive and you are always given a warm welcome! From dealing with Joe at the start when he listened to what we wanted and offered a package there and then to suit without any hidden extra's, onto dealing with coordinators throughout who were really helpful and to the day itself. The day was perfect. The venue looked great, the staff did a great job, everyone had loads to eat and drink and a few people said it was the best meal they have had at a wedding. The room looked great and anyone that had a room really loved it. We will always have fond memories of the day and a large part of that is down to Rathsallagh as a venue and the staff that run it. Couldn't fault it at all and will be hoping we can return for a weekend ourselves or just to another wedding!

We could not recommend Rathsallagh highly enough. The house and grounds are just stunning and the team are fantastic. We had no concerns at all leading up to the day as we knew the team were on top of everything. The day was seamless, we were looked after so well, as were all of our guests. We had to make slight changes to the table plan on the morning due to an illness and the day manager Catherine completely empathised and removed any stress from us and had the table plan updated in a matter of minutes. There were numerous other small touches aside from this throughout the day that assured us that our day was in the best of hands with Catherine and Stephen and the team. All of our family and friends absolutely loved Rathsallagh. We can’t say enough good things. Everything from the food to the rooms to the service was excellent. Thank you for a brilliant wedding!

All we can say is that everything was just AMAZING! We couldn't have imagined a better day & weekend. Over the last 14 months Julie & Catherine did everything in their power to make our day absolutely amazing & we cant thank them enough! Rathsallagh truly is the dream wedding venue. Everything was perfect from the day we booked. All the wedding planners are very experienced and Gillian in particular provided us with great help and advice throughout. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the venue was inparticular the food and staff. We stayed the night after our wedding too which was great as you really get to enjoy the house and gardens.

Our guests were completely blown away by the venue, the atmosphere and the character of Rathsallagh - we really felt we were in our own piece of heaven for the day. I cannot thank Catherine, Joe, Stephen and all the lovely people in Rathsallagh House who helped make our day so so special, from the welcome we received when we arrived to get ready, right through to when we left the following day - the professionalism and hard work you all put into Rathsallagh was evident - it will always have a special place in our memories. My wife and I got married here on September 10th, and it was an unbelievable day. We first visited Rathsallagh on a trip home (both Irish based living in New York) in March 2015, and we immediately knew it was exactly what we wanted for our wedding - from the grounds, to the house, the pavilion, and staff everything was how we wanted it. The majority of the wedding planning was done via email and some phone calls. The ladies who look after the weddings at Rathsallagh, are nothing short of class. Gillian, Catherine, Julie and the others i'm sure We are forgetting, could not help enough and their advice was very much welcomed. They made planning a long distance wedding something quite manageable, if not easy. We would have been lost without them. When the day itself arrived, the grounds and house were pristine. While the original plan was drinks in the walled garden, there was a threat of rain so they were moved to the restaurant and front lawn. This worked out perfectly, as it turned into a beautiful day with a lot of people setting up on the tables and chairs on the lawn. The dinner itself was excellent. Good food was something we were focused on and it surpassed all expectations. The staff were excellent. Stephen the duty manager could not do enough for us, and was always available for anything we needed. Overall the day was everything we could have wanted. We have been told countless times by our guests that the wedding was the best they have ever been to and that was made possible by the wonderful people at Rathsallagh.

We had our Wedding Reception in Rathsallagh at the end of August. The venue is stunning and we were blessed with the weather. However, what really made the 2 days so exceptional for us was the staff who we cannot praise highly enough. From our first viewing of the venue right through to checking out, the consistency of service and attentiveness of the entire staff at Rathsallagh really blew us away and just added to such a special day. They made us feel unique which is no small feat given the amount of weddings they cater for. Many of our guests complimented the food, the accommodation but most importantly the staff. I cannot stress how important it was for us and how much it added to the experience feeling relaxed that everyone was being well taken care of. We cannot recommend the venue highly enough and if you are in a position to book the 2nd day exclusive you are in for a real treat... It's not the cheapest venue out there but we can confidently say you get more than you pay for!

Rathsallagh House was an amazing venue to have our wedding in. The wedding planners were very helpful, responsive and accommodating. On the day of the wedding the staff as a whole were so professional, they anticipated our every need and went beyond the call of duty in providing services to our guests. The venue is beautiful, it exudes a unique charm and character that helped to create a wonderful ambiance for the day of our wedding. The food in Rathsallagh is superb, we have been complimented repeatedly since our wedding day on how the food was of such a high standard. The staff of Rathsallagh helped to make sure our day went off without a hitch and I would certainly reccommend it as a venue to any newly engaged couples.

Fantastic venue with a lovely atmosphere. We had an amazing day with our ceremony in the garden, and we were delighted that we could have our dog with us for the celebrations. Our guests are still raving about it. We appreciated all the extras like the toiletries in the loos and the croquet on the lawn. It really couldn't have gone better!

Rathsallagh House Hotel was perfect in every way. The wedding co-ordinators were so helpful and accommodating in the planning stage. On the day, Catherine was so welcoming, her expertise and experience was invaluable. It was clear from our first meeting, the co-ordinators know all the tricks of the trade. The staff were great, nothing was a problem and they were always on hand. The evening manager was on top of everything and the meal and dancing ran effortlessly. The whole day flowed perfectly. As the bride and groom, we felt so relaxed because we could see that the staff had everything under control. The grounds are beautiful and such an asset for the hotel. The majority of our guests wandered the gardens on the day of the wedding or the day after and were all so impressed by the setting. The pavilion was beautifully and tastefully decorated as is the rest of the hotel. The guest rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Our guests that stayed loved that there was good coffee available in the rooms and little things such as the radio was playing relaxing music as they arrived was a thoughtful simple touch. The food served in Rathsallagh is second to none, it was beautifully cooked and presented and it was plentiful too. Our guests have been so complimentary of our choice of venue and I really couldn't have been more happy with our choice. Absolutely perfect from start to finish. Can't wait to go back again!

Having found Rathsallagh House online while searching for a unique venue for our wedding from Australia, I instantly fell in love with what I saw! During a brief visit home I met with Joe, the owner, who showed me around and I was sold straight away! Our wedding was a dream come true and everything about it turned out to be perfect for us. Rathsallagh House was a wonderful venue and for the 2 days we spent there it was a home away from home. Many of our guests had travelled from Australia and they completely fell in love with Rathsallagh house, its surrounds, comfort, charm and the fact that it was all ours for the 2 days. The staff tended to our every need. A very special thanks to Catherine, our amazing wedding coordinator who granted our every request and made everything run so smoothly. Also to Ben, Charlie, Miriam and Dermot. We would highly recommend it to anyone planning a wedding in Ireland! The venue is completely unique and will always hold a special place in our hearts. We cannot thank everyone enough and we hope to be back to visit again very soon!

Having looked for a venue in Wicklow for a few months, Rathsallagh and the staff of Rathsallagh were a breath of fresh air. Far from their pretentious and unhelpful rivals in Wicklow, the staff of Rathsallagh were warm and welcoming long before they even knew we were a potential wedding couple. Everything was clear, concise and stress free in the lead up to the wedding but it was their level of detail on the day of the wedding that just blew me away. We didn't hear of any issues that arose on the day because everything was dealt with by Rathsallagh staff. The fact the bride was codliac was no trouble at all, I was followed around by gluten free food all day! On our sunny wedding day the beautiful private grounds and house seemed a million miles away from the cues of traffic as the rest of the Ireland scrambled to Glendalough for the good weather. I really couldn't fault Rathsallagh and I cant thank Gillian, Patricia and the team enough.

We would like to thank everyone at Rathsallagh so much for how perfectly our wedding day went. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and so did all of our guests. Everyone commented on how seamless the whole day was and how beautiful Rathsallagh was as a venue :) We wish we could do it all over again! We are very much looking forward to coming back to Rathsallagh in the future.

We loved every minute of our wedding in Rathsallagh House. The Wedding Planners were excellent, so professional. We had very little to do and nothing was an issue. Our guests all commented on what a lovely venue it is and they all really enjoyed the dinner. Quite a few said it was the nicest wedding venue they had been to.

When we started planning our wedding we said there were three important elements to a good wedding; great food, a venue that made an impact and an excellent wedding band. Rathsallagh provided two of those for us. Rathsallagh was the perfect venue and I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. When we had our initial appointment to view the venue we met Joe the owner. Joe was a bundle of energy and really enthusiastic about us having our wedding at Rathsallagh. Joe gave us a tour of the grounds, brought us to see the function room and the rooms available. Joe had some great ideas about how we could make the function room our own, and ran us through some great ideas other guests had. We could really visualise having our wedding there. On the day the staff were amazing. We didn't have to worry about anything. The staff were very welcoming to us and all our guests. We, including the guests, were blown away by the quality of food. It really was incredible, in fact some guests emailed us afterwards saying it was as good as a high quality restaurant and they would have happily paid for it! We booked the venue for the day after for a family bbq. This allowed us to have the venue exclusively for the weekend. The pig on a spit was gorgeous and the buffet food was really high quality. They even brought out more food, that was left over from the bbq, at 11pm and this was very welcome by all. We really would give this venue a glowing reference. There were a few small things, and in the interest of being fair to people considering this venue it is important to provide a fair review. On the morning after the wedding some rooms, including the main room, didn't have any hot water and I believe this was due to the venue being an old house. When we met with Joe we were given the impression that a lot of extras were included in the price, however, when we met with the team we learnt this was a misunderstanding on our behalf. Therefore, I do recommend that couples check any assumptions just to avoid disappointment. I don't think we were mislead, I think we just didn't ask the right questions. I do think Rathsallagh is good value. It is a bit more expensive than other venues but what you get in return is very high quality food, a high quality service from a group of very well trained staff, a beautiful venue and setting and the peace of mind that your guests are having a great time.

Amazing venue. More personal than any hotel. Staff couldn't do enough for the guests on the day. Stunning location with beautiful photo opportunities. Excellent food with a homely feeling. Felt very much at ease there.

I've given a top score to Rathsallagh as we were just blown away with our April wedding!! It was everything we imagined and more besides. To be honest, we fell in love with Rathsallagh the moment we drove up the gates and it did not disappoint. Catherine, Gillian, Patricia, Stephen and Sinead and all the staff were amazing! They were all so lovely to deal with and very professional. The food was amazing and the wine flowed. Unfortunately, it rained on our day and were were so disappointed that we couldn't use the grounds to the fullest extent but we still managed to get some wonderful pictures in the house. Regarding the value I have given it full marks but it is expensive but we valued spending the money here on the good food and drink, service and scenery rather than any other embellishments or extras. We were absolutely thrilled with how everything worked out and we really couldn't fault a thing only the weather :)

Don't even think about looking anywhere else! We got married three weeks ago and held our reception at Rathsallagh. From the minute we walked in to view the venue a year ago, to the minute we checked out the next day, there is not one thing we could possibly find fault with. The venue itself is stunning, from the drive up (which will completely awe all your guests), to the cosy sitting rooms & receptions rooms, and the fact that each of the bedrooms are decorated individually and beautifully. Someone had said to us before the wedding that the weather won't matter with Rathsallagh and they were completely right - it rained ALL DAY and we hardly even noticed, we just enjoyed the log fires. The pavilion function room is amazing, and just gets even prettier as the evening goes on, with fairy lights twinkling outside. When chatting about venues, we always agreed that one of the most important aspects of a wedding reception was the food. Rathsallagh has to be one of the best places I have ever eaten, and not just in Ireland! The tasting meal last November was incredible but there is always the worry that catering for a large wedding party won't be the same - I don't know why i ever doubted. We had the beef, which is cooked to order of preference for each guest (where else would you find this?!) and guests are still talking about it weeks later. Most important was their attention to detail - we had a number of coeliacs at the wedding (including myself) and not only was this catered for with no hassle, we had g/f canapes, g/f midnight feast and cream brulee offered to guests for dessert instead of the usual fruit salad I'm used to. Staff made such an effort to ensure that g/f guests were found for the midnight feast no matter where they had moved to. I could go on and on about the venue, food etc., but the biggest reason I would do it all over again in heartbeat in Rathsallagh is their staff. We first met with Catherine on the viewing and the first thing that came across was how much she loved the place. Not only did she take an hour showing us around that day, she also took time again a couple days later to meet with my parents and show them around, although unplanned. From the day we booked Rathsallagh, we had absolutely nothing to worry about. All of the staff that I dealt with were so lovely and couldn't do enough to help us out and answer any queries quickly. The biggest thing for me was that on the day (and since), all of our guests have spoken so highly of the staff there. Mags & Steven looked after the day itself and I think the majority of our guests got to talk to them at some stage, there was literally nothing they didn't have covered. I could go on and on but just go view this place and BOOK IT! Oh and maybe invite us to the wedding, I could totally go for another one of those dinners :-)

I got married in Rathsallagh House in March and I feel I have to write this review to give this place the credit it deserves. From the moment we met Joe a year before our wedding we knew we had chosen the right place. He was nothing but accommodating something other places we visited were not. we just loved the warm cosy atmosphere of the house and the wow factor of the pavillion. As many brides are I was very particular about what I wanted and nothing seemed like too much trouble. I must give a special mention to Catherine Gillian and Patricia the wedding co ordinators. they had to put up with many an email from me and dealt with it all so professionally. The day it self was magical , it snowed in the morning and the house looked breathtaking covered in snow. our guests were so impressed by the individually decorated rooms and the standard of food and service, my only wish is that i could do it all over again, Rathsallagh will always be so special to us now and i hope we will get to come back again in the near future.

I don't normally post reviews but on this occasion it is a must :-) We recently got married here & I can't say a big enough thank you to the wedding team for all their help. They were absolutely amazing throughout the whole process and made my job so much easier & also made our day as fantastic as it was! I've heard numerous comments from our guests on the day of and after the fact about the beautiful setting,great rooms,friendly and efficient service etc.. Myself & Charlie were discussing on honeymoon about the day itself and if we would change anything but the common theme was that we would do it all over again in Rathsallagh without a doubt. We had a great night the night before also and everyone was super helpful. As part of the bridal party on the day we were all very impressed with how relaxed but also efficient the service was. I would highly recommend it & i have no doubt that we will be back celebrating our 1st Anniversary there :-)

We had our wedding in Rathsallagh House last Christmas, and we can't speak highly enough about this venue. The staff couldn't do enough for us and our guests, and we didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day as we knew it was all under control which was great peace of mind. The rooms were all absolutely beautiful, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was. The food was also first rate, and the service during our wedding meal was of the highest standard. We really were treated like royalty for the day, and it made our day more special than it already was. After getting married, we realised that the most important decision in the wedding preparation stage is choosing the right venue. Thankfully for us, we chose Rathsallagh house, which definitely didn't disappoint and this is why we are nominating Rathsallagh for the well deserved award of Exclusive wedding venue of the year award.

I have been overwhelmed with the whole Team at Rathsallagh house from the moment I met them to the weekend of our wedding. The team there from the Wedding Co-ordinators, Duty Manager, Bar and Waiting staff have been wonderful. We stayed the night before and the night after our wedding and we were blown away by the quality and professionalism of every single member of staff at all times, not only to ourselves but to our guests, it was 10star service all the way, if that even exists! The day of the wedding ran like clockwork, we were made to feel by the Wedding Planners and all staff that we were the most important people in the world and they showed genuine excitement for us on our big day, I don't think I could ask for anything to be done any differently the only sad part was that we had to leave Rathsallagh on Sunday. I would have absolutely no hesitation to recommend this venue to any future couples - enjoy the luxury and first class treatment without paying first class prices. Hospitality at it's very finest.

We fully enjoyed our whole experience with Rathsallagh and would definitely recommend to other couples. The food and customer care was of the highest standard.

We would like to write our comments as to how special Rathsallagh House & staff were for wedding. We had an amazing wedding day in Rathsallagh on Monday October 26th. We wish to comment in particular on the food and wine which were delicious and were really enjoyed by all the guests. Also the staff, in particular: Gillian, Stephen, Catherine, Patricia, Sinead and all the serving and house-keeping staff who went out of their way to accommodate all our requests and were so friendly and accommodating on the day and throughout all the planning. I still don't know how Gillian remembered everything! We had a lot of requests such as last minute changes to the seating plan, extra beds required in the rooms for children, stickers under the plates for prizes, podiums, microphone, standup tables, play tables!!! Rathsallagh House also allowed both families to get ready beforehand in the hotel, my family in the Orangerie and Hugh's in the Kilbarry room. It meant that we had a lovely morning with everyone together and it wouldn't have been the same getting ready in a B&B or in Dublin and then traveling down. So thank you all so much for making our day so lovely, intimate and relaxing. It was exactly how we wanted it to be. Clare and Hugh

We would just like to thank Catherine and her team for the fabulously professional and personnel job they did in helping us organise our wedding. Literally nothing was too much trouble, for example our three year old son was demanding sausages at 6pm- a request I am sure that the kitchen could have done without at that time (!) and they were provided immediately. From the moment we booked our wedding with Rathsallagh they couldn't have done enough for us. Everyone was raving about the venue, the food the wine and the band. We chose the red wine from Puglia and it went down big with our guests and we also chose Johnnie be Goode the Rathsallagh House band and everyone was literally dancing for the night. We'd like to thank Catherine in particular as we dealt with her practically exclusively from the start and she was just a dream to deal with. If you want to pick a venue who really know what they are doing, are generous (all our guests were offered second and third helpings of steak!) and who are kind and professional to deal with then I would highly recommend Rathsallagh. The one draw back, which I suppose is a compliment to them really, was that there wasn't enough rooms to offer our guests and many more people wanted to stay than we could assign rooms to. I think it would really be worth their time to consider building a few more rooms as assigning the rooms caused us a little bit of stress as we had to leave a lot of our guests out. Apart from that tiny thing, we really couldn't fault the beautiful venue, the charm and professionalism of all the staff and we'd like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

We got married in October 2015 and had our reception at Rathsallagh; it honestly exceeded our expectations in every way. I have given in 5 stars for all categories because we really found no faults here, from the venue to the staff to the food it was exceptional. They sell their hotel as a family home and it really comes across, we met the owners several times over the weekend we were there and all of their staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome but also looked after at every turn. The quality of staff and service they offer is second to none; not only are they all so helpful and friendly but you can tell they enjoy their jobs and are very happy working at Rathsallagh; a unique selling point in my opinion! All of our guests raved about the wedding meal; they couldn't believe the beef was cooked to order for each guest, there was so much talk about the canapés and the wine that was served. One of our guests is a recipe developer from New York and she is already trying to re-create the delicious brown bread we had for breakfast. The other big topic of discussion was the beautiful bedrooms; each one different but equally comfortable and luxurious. We were so lucky as we had absolutely fabulous weather and really got to see Rathsallagh in all of it's glory, looking back now on our photos I am again blown away by how beautiful the hotel and grounds are. We really cannot speak highly enough about Joe and the wedding team at Rathsallagh, from our very first enquiry to the last moment at checkout the wedding team went out of their way to give us 5-star treatment. We can't wait to go back and reminisce about all the wonderful memories we have of Rathsallagh and our wedding day; it truly is a special place!

Where do I start !! We got married at Rathsallagh 10 weeks ago , from the start of planning to the wedding day the whole team were amazing. Planning a wedding from abroad can be stressful but Catherine , Trish and Joe were amazing to deal with, no query was too big or small! The attention to detail on every aspect of our stay , the wedding day and BBQ the following day was outstanding. They thought of things you would never dream of just down to the little things like putting my bouquet in water after the meal to preserve it , the whole team works so well together!! The food was outstanding , something they are so well known for , we risked the lamb as our main and it went down a storm , everyone is still talking about the food ! I could talk all day about their professionalism , both our families from Ireland & Scotland raved about Rathsallagh as a wedding venue and they all had an amazing stay . I can honestly say if you choose Rathsallagh as your exclusive wedding venue it will exceed even the highest of expectations.

I can honestly say without any hesitation whatsoever that Rathsallagh deserved the highest rating in all categories that I can give, our day and the lead up to was so fantastic on all levels, the venue, atmosphere, food, staff; from professionalism to the friendly and relaxed manner in which it was received. We had our wedding in Rathsallagh in August this year. For any bride/groom that are looking for the most beautiful country venue with the most magnificent surrounding grounds, this is the one! The O’Flynn family and Catherine, (the wedding co-coordinator) and her team made us so relaxed from the start - her can-do; easing going, yet unbelievably organised attitude made the run up to the wedding extremely calm and enjoyable. She was always so cheerful and helpful. We could never have envisaged the outcome on our wedding day. The reception surpassed all of our expectations. The grounds of Rathsallagh are really out of this world. We visited in winter when booking our wedding and it really is a venue for any time of the year. From the roaring turf fires and cosy feels in winter to the stunning walks around the grounds in spring time. Our summer wedding reception started off in the walled garden where our champagne reception was held. We also had our photos taken here so we felt we weren’t missing out on any of the fun with our guests! A really special start to our celebrations. Our wedding meal was 10/10 - there is no other way to describe it. The beef was cooked to your liking which was a big talking point amongst our guests because generally at weddings beef is cooked the same way for all guests, followed by the mouth-watering warm berry crumble with homemade vanilla ice-cream! Topped off with an outstanding service. The big oak tree on the grounds lit up with fairy lights at dusk while guests sat outside watching the sun set was a superb sight! The dedicated and helpful staff working in Rathsallagh really made our day for us! Stress free and absolutely nothing was a problem from start to finish. Their helpfulness and on-point execution of all aspects on the day was truly remarkable. I would highly recommend Rathsallagh to anyone considering wedding locations - its far from just a venue, its an entire experience. We will definitely be back to visit this wonderful place!

As parents of the Bride we were very involved in all the interaction and planning for Elaine & Alans's wedding on the 6th of August 2015 in Rathsallagh House. Catherine and the team in Rathsallagh House were simply amazing and from beginning to end covered every detail to perfection. The best compliment one can pay to them is that if we had to organize the day again we would change nothing. Real class 10 out of 10!!!

We had a lovely two days.

The care and attention to detail was second to none. We were treated as though we were the only Wedding this year. Nothing was left to chance. The wedding team had lots of suggestions to help us but took on board all our wishes and requests, making our journey uncomplicated and stress free. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I can honestly say that Rathsallagh was the perfect wedding venue for us. Every time we visited to speak with Gillian or to have a look around, we were met with the most warm welcome from the ladies and Joe. Nothing was too much trouble. I was at ease the whole way through the wedding process. The day itself was like a dream, everything ran seamlessly down to the hard work of the whole team. The meal was the most delicious wedding food we have ever tasted. And we are still getting compliments on it today. It is the most warm, friendly beautiful and exclusive venue in our opinion. THE WEDDING THAT ALMOST NEVER WAS We were married in Rathsallagh House in September 2014. In the July before our wedding my husband's father became very ill and sadly two weeks before the wedding, he passed away. We were left devastated. It was an extremely emotional time for us and the wedding took a back seat, in fact, we weren't sure if we would go ahead at all. Hens and Stags had been cancelled the previous month and we had no real will to go ahead with our day without him. Catherine and her team at Rathsallagh were so understanding. In the months that my father-in-law was sick they were a quiet voice in the background, letting us know they were there if we needed them but never once putting pressure on us to make decisions about our day. Catherine was a constant support, she was there to advise when needed. When we finally made the decision to go ahead (10 days before the wedding) Catherine pulled out all the stops. She had been busy with preparations in the background during the previous months and all of the hassle of wedding planning was taken away from us. I can honestly say I did not stress about one thing in the lead up to our wedding as I knew she had it covered which meant we were able to grieve and spend time with my husband's family in the lead up to the wedding. On the morning of the wedding my father took very ill and had to be taken by ambulance to hospital. He suffers from arthritis and literally could not get out of the bed, his pain was that bad. The paramedics felt that once they got him to the hospital and administered some pain relief (morpheine no less!) that he would be able to make the wedding. They took his suit and wash bag with them in the ambulance and told me he'd see me at the church. We delayed the wedding by 1.5hrs. My Welsh cousin went with my Dad but he wasn't sure of the way back to our church venue so Naas hospital paid for a taxi for my Dad and drove him back to Wicklow, suited and booted and ready to walk his daughter down the aisle. This naturally delayed our reception and again Rathsallagh were amazing. Patricia was there on the day and everything had to be pushed back by a few hours, and nothing was a problem. I wasn't exactly thinking straight in the run up to the wedding and one of the errors I made was leaving at least 6 people off my seating plan (including my brother and sister-in-law ????). I wasn't even told about it, Trish had them seated before I even knew there was a problem. I was told not to worry, it's all sorted. The food on the day was amazing. We didn't sit down to our meal until 7 that evening and had almost 200 guests and everything was just perfect. They couldn't have looked after us better. I cannot recommend Rathsallagh highly enough. The venue is so beautiful, the food is amazing (I haven't even mentioned the tasting day which was such a fabulous experience), Catherine is an absolute gem, I've never met someone who can do their job so well almost under the radar, she's constantly working away and doing her best for you in the background but to say she is a silent pillar of strength by your side is an understatement. We needed all the help we could get and she didn't disappoint. I haven't even mentioned the girl who followed me down to the very end of the walled garden with a platter of food while our photographer was busy taking pics, because she had overheard me say to my bridesmaid "I'm starving" as I got out of our bridal car. I wish I could remember her name. And I haven't mentioned the numerous compliments I received from our guests about everything from the food, to the staff, to the accommodation and the breakfast ... oh the breakfast, yum! And the fact that you have the entire house to yourself makes it feel so much more personal. I cannot recommend Rathsallagh highly enough. Our hearts just weren't in it in the lead up to the wedding and Catherine and her team turned our "let's just do it and get it over with" attitude on its head and I can honestly say that in spite of the heartache of the previous weeks and the worry of the wedding morning, we had an amazing day and have beautiful memories to cherish from our day, made possible by Rathsallagh.

We thought of choosing Rathsallagh House as our wedding venue because of its reputation for excellence and because of fond childhood memories of visiting with family. From the beginning of our enquiries, we found the staff extremely helpful, friendly and responsive to every question and query we had, and from our initial visit we immediately knew that this would be our venue and looked at no other venues. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we always felt that they were as invested as us in making it the perfect day. Their recommendations for external supplier were also very thorough and impartial – and good quality. The day itself was easily one of the most magical days of our lives. I’m not quite sure how I can emphasize that enough. We were very lucky in that the weather on the day was beautiful, but that only emphasized and accentuated the house and grounds. As you can see in the pictures, it is a beautiful setting and so well maintained. We made use of the walled garden for drinks and canapés (which were beautiful) and enjoyed the weather. We had made use of the food and wine tasting a few months previous and the food on the day didn’t disappoint - excellent quality produce cooked and presented fantastically. The wine was rather good too. Again, the waiting staff were brilliant - attentive, efficient and friendly. As it was a summer’s day/evening, our guests were to be found enjoying drinks in the main reception room, drinks area, and grounds. Many of our friends played a (quite competitive) game of croquet under the tree. In terms of accommodation, every room is different with a character of its own but to a consistently high standard. They are also big, very big. Our room looked out over the lawn and was perfect. All in all, I can’t recommend Rathsallagh enough. I think that the buildings, grounds, food, drinks etc are extremely important for a wedding and indeed, at Rathsallagh, they are all impeccable. But for us, the best thing about Rathsallagh is the people. We were made to feel special, as were our guests. This wasn't just another wedding for them, this was our wedding, and we felt that from the first moment we met Catherine, Patricia, Gillian and all of the other staff. We spent our first wedding anniversary there this year and they remembered us and welcomed us back with the same smiles and greetings before and gave us a bottle of champagne to say welcome back. Any criticisms? I lost my croquet game...

We found Rathsallagh house to be the perfect venue for us due to it's relaxed atmosphere, excellent guest rooms and facilities and exceptional food. We chose it on this basis and on the fact that it's dining room was just off a main hallway with 2 separate drawing rooms which were perfect for older guests who wanted to chat instead of dancing the night away after dinner. While planning we could always count on the wedding planners to have the latest information on our wedding and be able to answer any queries in a timely manner. On the day itself, once we arrived we didn't have to worry about anything, the staff took care of ourselves and our guests and covered every eventuality. This meant that myself and my husband could relax and enjoy our day with our family and friends. I really couldn't fault Rathsallagh, it was all we'd hoped for and judging by feedback since the wedding, the vast majority of our guests would be in agreement.

Firstly it's a bit of a misnomer saying that I am one part of a bridal couple, we are two men in a same sex marriage, so we were two grooms. Rathsallagh House was the perfect location for our marriage and we knew this from the first time we set foot in it. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, just what you want on your special day, both for you and your guests. The staff are the pinnacle of professionalism, they're so welcoming and reassuring, nothing is a bother to them. The team of wedding coordinators are just fantastic, they are hugely amenable, they give great advice and are extremely accommodating. My parents are elderly and the staff had the presence of mind to pay special attention to their needs, a huge thank you to every member of staff. The food there is always top class, I could wax lyrical about it but I won't bore you to tears suffice to say you couldn't ask for better. The House itself is so beautiful, the bedrooms are amazing, breakfast is the best in Ireland. I cannot speak highly enough of Rathsallagh but the proof is in the fact that we have been back to stay numerous times since, as have my parents, family and friends and I had my 40th birthday with 20 of my friends where once again we were treated like royalty.

Thank you so much to Catherine, Gillian, Trish and all the great staff at Rathsallagh House for helping to make our wedding day so spectacular. From the planning, (which was from Australia) to the day of my wedding it was fantastic, the ladies were at hand with any enquires whether big or small and helped me so much, Rathsallagh exceeded my expectations. The food was great everything we hoped for and as I am a chef, I am known for being particular when it comes to food and it was perfect also I had a special request for venison for myself and Shane as a surprise for Shane and the ladies helped me keep it secret till he had seen the menu :) All the rooms were fabulous I really liked how each one has its own unique decor from the old to the new all ware lovely and the surroundings ware spectacular made for some great photos. all our guest are still raving about both the day, venue and food. Everyone including myself and my husband could not have a bad word to say about our experience everything was wonderful. We will look forward to staying there again maybe for our anniversary :)Thanks to all involved in making our day so memorable

We had our wedding at Rathsallagh in November 2012. It is a fantastic venue and the fact that it is available for exclusive use makes it really special. We had 210 people for the meal, in the pavilion suite and it was brilliant. People are still raving about the food, and the service was brilliant. Unfortunately it was too cold for us to do all our photos outside so we used one of the drawing rooms for family photos - this worked out well but if there's anything I could change I'd say a summer wedding would work wonderfully here as you could do so many great shots outside in the stunning grounds, and get lots of group shots. The rooms are lovely - its a shame there aren't more as we had about 100 people wanting to stay. The staff at Rathsallagh are wonderful. they are so obliging, helpful, and genuine. We're already looking for an excuse to go back for a night!!

Rathsallagh proved to be the perfect venue for our wedding. The location, facilities food and most perticularly the staff were outstanding. Rathsallagh was simply the perfect venue!
