Meet Alan and Alice! This lovely couple got married on a sunny Summer day at Rathsallagh House. They kept things simple and allowed the venue to really shine, embracing pink floral details in the decor.

Alan and Alice’s modern love story began when they met online. Their romantic engagement took place in a bubble dome in Finn Lough in Fermanagh!

They describe their wedding as simple, with pink and florals.

“We had our ceremony outside in the walled garden in Rathsallagh. The sun was shining, it was a beautiful day.”

Alice wore a white, embellished fit and flare dress with a plain, long veil.

Alan wore a black tux with a velvet jacket.

The four bridesmaids wore mauve pink dresses, with Rosie and Dott jewellery. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos.

“Our ceremony was outside in the walled garden. My aunt performed the ceremony which made it nice and intimate. There were about 120 guests. Alan’s niece and nephew were flower girl and page boy. Alan’s two sisters said a reading and my sister wrote a speech, which reduced us all to tears – especially Alan! It was a beautiful ceremony.”

“We had our ceremony and reception in Rathsallagh house and it was absolutely stunning. The staff were all amazing, the food was divine, the setting was so picturesque.”

Alice and Alan absolutely love their wedding photos! Their beautiful day was perfectly captured by Ros from Couple Photography, who they describe as excellent.

To entertain their guests, they had Rachel Byrne play the harp and sing during the ceremony, which absolutely wowed their guests. She also played during the drinks reception and after dinner, After Dark performed. They played all the songs Alice had requested and the dance floor was always full!

When asked about her favourite memory from the day, Alice said: “I think the first look. I was so excited to see Alan. It was really special and intimate, we both cried – Alan a lot!”

We always ask newlyweds for their best wedding advice. This is what Alice had to say:

“Take all the help you can get in the wedding planning!”
