Can't recommend Slieve Russell enough from the very first viewing to our wedding day was just so easy and stress free. We had Ciara as our wedding co ordinator and she was just a dream always so helpful no matter how silly my questions were she was always there when needed. We had Gosha on the day of our marriage and she was absolutely brilliant she had everything down to a tee and was great craic and calmed the nerves!!! Also thanks to Tony the manager and to all the great staff of slieve Russell they gave us wonderful memories we will cherish forever

Bridie our Wedding Co-ordinator was a dream to deal with. Nothing was a problem. She was so flexible, considerate and had a great sense of humour. The Hotel itself was magical on the day. Christmas trees were up and there was a warm, welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were amazing. We stayed the night before and the Porter who assisted us with all our luggage was an absolute gentleman. Couldn't do enough for us.....Massive Thank you to him....Family dinner in the Summit Restaurant night before Wedding. Food and service was fabulous. Sophie, Dixie and Margaret were beyond amazing on our big day. They couldn't do enough for us... Margaret was like my very own Fairy Godmother. She treated me like a Princess all day.....Food was fabulous...absolutely outstanding. All our guests complimented the fabulous food. Service was second to none. Bar and bar service was excellent. No queuing up. Everyone served in a timely and professional manner. Groundsman very helpful and accommodating to groom and groomsmen in prepping the cars on the morning of our Wedding.....can't say enough good about the Team in the Slieve Russell. They were absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the Slieve Russell as a Wedding Venue for any couple planning for their big day....Bridie is a first class Wedding Co-ordinator and the whole team are outstanding....5STAR ++++++

Great wedding really enjoyed it,service and food was great, few issues with the room set up on the wedding day but have already spoke with ciara regarding these. Regarding value per money, I thought it was worth the money however it is one of the more expensive venues in cavan,but in my opinion you pay for what you get

We got married in the slieve Russell in July and it was the most perfect day everything ran so smoothly Bridie our wedding coordinator was so professional and nothing was too much of as ask I would highly recommend slieve Russell for all of your wedding needs

The Slieve Russell was fantastic from beginning to end- we are truly delighted with how everything went. Bridie was our wedding co ordinator and she was just fantastic, communication was easy and very responsive and as we were planning a wedding from Australia this made our lives easy!
We honestly couldnt have asked for a better day- the staff were friendly and helpful, food was excellent and the accommodation was fantastic- a lot of our guests stayed the night and are now besotted with the Slieve Russell with many already planning their return.
We cant wait to return here every year to celebrate our future anniversaries ❤️

Great service from start to finish of the wedding. The one thing that I wasn't happy with was the baileys hot chocolate stand at the reception there was only two jugs for wedding with 180 guests.

All the staff at the Slieve Russell were brilliant, from our wedding planner to the waiting staff. Everyone was so friendly and happy to help. Everything was organised perfectly and we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day. We were so well looked after and loved every minute of it. It made the planning stress-free.

I have never been to a hotel more beautiful than the Slieve Russell.
The stay were always helpful the whole way through.
The food was amazing.

Slieve Russell is such a great venue! I couldn’t fault it at all and the team are so great to work with - they make you feel like you are the only wedding and never feel like anything is too much! The team is just great and the day just went so well! I couldn’t recommend them enough

The staff at the Slieve Russell Hotel are second to none. They looked after us from the moment we visited the hotel when picking our venue to this day. They provided a professional service. All staff came across as calm, well informed and competent. Anything we asked was always dealt with without any issue. The venue was also first class! Would highly recommend for any couple getting married.

Slieve Russell is an exceptional venue for weddings. They help you in every way possible. From reception, catering staff, waitressed/waiters, the bar staff, morning breakfast staff, cleaners snd the wedding planners theres not one bad complaint to be said about them a 5 star for everyone. The food is second to none i still have people talk about how excellent the food was. Plently of rooms for all guests to stay overnight in with big comfy beds and spotless bathrooms. Guests get full use of the swimming pool and spa, all my wedding guests got great use out of the swimming pool areas. The grounds are wonderful for photos, some lovely places around the grounds to capture the perfect picture. You would never know a second wedding was on in the hotel as they are at two different ends of hotel so you never clash with another wedding. We never seen the bride or groom from the other wedding at all at our wedding. We try to come here at least 1-2 times a year as we are in love with this hotel. I would highly recommended this hotel if your thinking of planning your big day in an exceptional hotel. My wedding was the best day ever and it was all helped by the wonderful Slieve Russell Hotel.

The SR were a dream to deal with from start to finish. The package was affordable, and everything was perfect on the day. The staffs friendliness and professionalism is second to none. The cleanliness and stunning decor of the hotel, the bridal suite was FAB. The food was delicious. All our guests had huge positive feedback also. I would highly recommend SR as a wedding venue

Slieve Russell was fantastic to deal with. Bridie and Ciara, the wedding coordinators we were liaising with were ever so helpful and no query or request was to big or too small. They put us at ease from our very first viewing! We opted for the cranaghan suite which we loved, newly renovated, spacious and more private from the rest of the hotel. The service on the day was perfect, could not fault it. We had a complimentary night's stay the night of our menu tasting which was lovely. Overall I'd highly recommend.

Could not have given us a better day better venue better food and fantastic service. Nothing was too much and they went above and beyond for us. Our wedding coordinator aoife was fantastic and made sure we had a great day. The staff and management on the day were amazing and made sure the whole day ran smoothly for us. I can't wait to return for a lovely getaway again with the kids.

Our wedding coordinator, Bridie, was so helpful from the very start. There were lots of things we had questions about as we were planning and we always received a very prompt and helpful response. Staff the few days leading up to the wedding were also very helpful when we dropped items in to the hotel to be set up on the day.
Everything on the wedding day ran like clockwork and we did not have to worry about any of it and could really enjoy ourselves. The food, hotel grounds and accommodation are to an excellent standard and we could not have faulted any of these.
Suppliers that were organised to set up the room ,cake, flowers etc were able to do so without any difficulty or follow ups with us in the days leading up to the wedding or the day of! The Slieve Russell are so efficient when it comes to weddings and suppliers are familiar with them and their staff also which is a great relief when organising
The only small issue we encountered was our guests having some trouble booking rooms coming closer to the wedding date, but this was resolved ASAP by Ciara.

The staff at the Slieve Russell could not have been more accommodating. Everyone was so friendly and couldn't help you enough. Between Shauna, Jennifer and everyone else who were part of our day, they were outstanding and so welcoming. The food was incredible. The choice of food suited all the guests. All through Covid-19 and the ever changing rules they ensured we would have a magical day. We got married when you weren't able to have a band, so we added games, such as Mr&Mrs instead and the Slieve Russell helped with the set up, the mic and other parts we hadn't thought of yet. No query was too big or too small for them. I highly recommend the Slieve Russell to everyone as your wedding venue.

The Slieve Russell Hotel was a fabulous location for our wedding in June 2021. Bridie and all the staff were brilliant and always on hand to deal with any queries we had in the lead up to the big day. Bridie was very helpful with the many changes we had to make due to Covid-19. Our guests all enjoyed the food and beautiful surroundings that The Slieve Russell has to offer. We used the nearby gardens on the grounds of the hotel for our photographs and they turned out lovely- we couldn't be happier. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Slieve Russell Hotel to any newly engaged couples- it has everything you could possibly want or need in one location!

The hotel were amazing to deal with it. From the moment we looked around to the day itself we had the best experience ever. Bridie was wonderful to deal with and always got back to us quickly. We started planning the wedding while still living in London and Bridie was amazing at recommending people and services that we could look at. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We got married at the Slieve Russell in November 2019. It was the best decision we could have made. The service from the start to the end was Fab, the venue was just stunning, both inside and around the grounds, the food was delicious & tonnes of it and the staff were amazing! The rooms were beautiful and there's loads of them for all the wedding guests! Our wedding planner Anne was so lovely and she did an incredible job for us! We can't fault anything from our wedding day & look forward to going back to stay very soon! I'd recommend the Slieve Russell to any couple looking for a beautiful weddimg venue!

The Slieve Russel provided an excellent service, food, drink, wedding coordinator, bedrooms etc. However I felt that the top bar took a lot of our wedding guests from the large Cranaghan suite ballroom during the initial reception.

From start to finish working with Anne and her colleagues at the Slieve Russell was a dream. I planned my wedding from another country and they couldn't do enough to help facilitate anything I needed and were happy to make any appointment when it suited me. On the day everything went incredibly smoothly, the staff were brilliant, multiple people mentioned to me how great they were and the band (The Engagements) who Anne arranged for me when our original one broke up were amazing. The hotel itself was gorgeous and the areas they gave for pictures are brilliant. Our guests mostly stayed here and they all loved their rooms and enjoyed walking the grounds the next day. I literally can not think of one thing I'd change. Can not recommended enough!

I really cannot recommend the Slieve Russel enough. I had the most magic day and they accomodated my every need. All my guests were super impressed by the full service. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Literally nothing was too much trouble. They decorated the room for me and left everything back to my room. They had my flats arranged for me and my heals sent to the room. They provided a 10 star service in every aspects. I will sing their praises for the rest of my life.

Slieve Russell exceeded our expectations. Anne Barnes our coordinator was amazing, a real lady. We had an amazing day, we would highly recommend the hotel. The cranaghan suite looked spectacular on the day.

Our wedding coordinator was Anne she was a beautiful and genuine lady to deal with. She was so responsive to any small question we had and handled everything to perfect attention leading up to and over the weekend of our wedding not just the day. My only negative view was the front of house , they came across very rude to our guests which was communicated to the lady on departure.

We had our big day at the Slieve Russell Hotel, We were treated with the upmost level of respect and nothing was too much trouble.
We had an excellent lead up to our Wedding, the staff took care of everything and more, we were made feel like celebrities on the day and although our own Wedding Coordinator was not working on our wedding day her colleague made us feel like there was nothing we could not ask for. He was fantastic. Our Wedding Coordinator went above and beyond all expectations for us, trying to accommodate all of our needs. She is a credit to the hotel.
Our reception room was beautifully decorated, we could not have asked for any more, the food was amazing, everything was just perfect and completely stress free with the Slieve Russell.
It is quite an expensive hotel to host a Wedding but the whole experience was worth it, there was only a few small things I would have liked to see with our package, it would have been nice to be offered a "Year Anniversary" complementary dinner/stay as many hotels do. We didn't get offered breakfast in bed- we didn't care we wanted to see our guests the next morning. We were made aware that the hotel caters for two weddings a day and we were shown separate entrances/reception rooms etc and were told when booking we wouldn't see the other Wedding but we kept running in to the other wedding in the lobby. We were quite a relaxed couple and it didn't bother us, we were just happy to have our day go off without a hitch but I can see how it might upset some couples.
Overall we were very happy with our big day at the Slieve Russell and we cannot thank all the staff enough for their kindness and contributions to making our day one we will never forget.

My husband and I had the most wonderful wedding at the Slieve Russell. We had not even planned to visit and stumbled across the hotel on route to check out another venue, with no appointment, Anne made herself available to us and blew us away. As I was from London and my husband and I were cross faith, we not only had our ceremony in the hotel, but also a fantastic meal for our guests from the UK on the Friday night before. Anne bent over backwards to make sure we didn't suffer from having to organise from abroad and every idea I had she made come to life which resulted in the most beautiful day and reception. The rooms were great - a super package price, Anne and the team were the most impeccable hosts. Gavin the manager with us on the day was brilliant and not just for forever running behind me straightening my train! The whole venue seemed to come to life and it was everything we could have hoped for. I can't recommend highly enough.

We had a December wedding in the Woodford- Erne suite. From the 1st day I met Jennifer Cox our wedding organiser I knew the Slieve Russell hotel was the place to have our wedding. She was so thorough, professional and contactable - even the week of the wedding- when I was having a couple of bridezilla moments. The hotel is beautifully decorated with ample space for guests to relax before and after the meal. On the day of the wedding Gavin made sure the day ran like clockwork. We thoroughly enjoyed our day which was made so much more relaxed by the professionalism and experience of the wedding staff.

We had our wedding on 24th August at this beautiful hotel and planned all from Australia, staff are so professional and go above and beyond to make your day run so smoothly this definitely didn't go unnoticed, any queries we had in the planning process were promptly answered by our wedding planner Anne who was fantastic nothing was too much trouble. So many compliments on the food it was amazing. We had the best day in the best Venue So glad we choose the Slieve Russell would highly recommend.

From our first wedding consultation to the morning we checked out we couldnt fault a single thing with how we were looked after by the staff of the slieve russell hotel,we have a little boy with special needs and they did everything they could to make sure he was number 1 and well looked after on the day to ensuring he had correct food for his allergies to having the room for him and his nurse available early that morning to be set up with his monitors. Whe never I emailed with any questions or queries I was emailed back very quickly with everything answered and helped me in any way possible to make the wedding planning easy. The food at the receptuon and for breakfast was incredible and all our guests couldn't fault anything and enjoyed every minute of our wedding day,thanks again to the staff of the slieve russell for making our wedding day definitely one to remember

I couldn't put into words how perfect our wedding day was and the service we received from the first moment we stepped into the hotel for our meeting with Anne to we left from our goodbye from Karine.
We had our reception in the Woodford and Erne suite and our wedding room was out of this world. With very little more room decor to add ourselves for personal touches as the room itself is spectacular and in keeping with the wedding theme of our bridal party.
Our guests arrived to a beautiful cocktail and canapy reception with tea, coffee and scones and a four piece band to help set the vibe.
The dinner was scrumptious and we had a five course meal with plenty of options to choose from and plenty of options to choose from for our evening buffet also.
The bridal suite which we had for two nights was absolutely amazing and the room was immaculate.
We had quite a few guests stay for the second night after the wedding so we organised a fork buffet of chicken curry and beef stroganoff which again did not disappoint. Food was beautiful and we dined in the Woodford and Erne suite again.
I should also mention the leisure facilities in the hotel. The spa and swimming pool is fantastic. Some of our guests played golf the second day and children are very well catered for with a games room and mini golf for them to enjoy (for the adults to enjoy also in our case).
In all, an excellent venue and I wish I could do it all over again. I wouldn't change a thing!

We had our wedding day here and it was fantastic from moment we walked in the door till we left. All off our guest talked about the food and the service all day and how good it was. We would recommend the Slieve Russell to all future married couple as it is the perfect and most magnificent place to have your wedding day. Top class quality.

Our wedding at the Slieve Russell was absolutely perfect. Every member of staff couldn't have done enough for us and they made us feel so special. Also Isabel allowed the day to run so smoothly, she was brilliant and such a lovely person. Nothing was too much trouble. Everybody commented on the food and how amazing it was and this really made the night for us. Overall I would highly recommend the Slieve Russell as it was a brilliant wedding venue x

We had the most amazing experience with the Slieve Russell hotel. The staff were always so helpful! They were only ever an email away and always responded promptly!
The hotel itself is beautiful! The grounds and secret gardens are amazing! I'm delighted with how our photographs turned out!
On the day, all our guests complimented the food and the beauty of the hotel!
The presidential suite was fabulous but to stay in, with amazing views over looking the golf course. I couldn't recommend the hotel enough! Overall, I rate it 10/10

The venue couldn't have been better, the suites, hotel and gardens looked amazing. We were particularly impressed by the professionalism, friendliness and efficiency of all the staff. Everyone I spoke to agreed that the food was delicious. Having it served to everyone at the table at the same time was a really nice touch. The personalised dessert plates for both of us were also lovely. We would definitely recommend the Slieve Russell to family and friends!

We had our wedding day here on the 7th of July. We were so delighted with how the whole day went. Nothing was a problem, the day itself couldn't have ran more smoothly and my wedding co ordinator couldn't have been more helpful. I couldn't recommend the Slieve Russell Hotel enough for making our wedding day the best day ever. On the build up and throughout the wedding day the staff were amazing and answered every question and dealt with any query I had. I had the best wedding co-ordinater Jennifer who made sure everything went to plan and nothing was ever a bother. On the day our host Isabella and hotel manager greeted us at the entrance off our reception and again made sure everything ran smoothly and professionally with ease. The food was out of this world, and I still have guests commenting on the great quality of all the courses served and the service they received including guests with dietary requirements. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the photographer was spoilt for choice on where to take the pictures as every area of the Slieve Russell provides unique and picturesque views. My mum summed it up perfectly as our car entered the grounds, and she saw my veil flowing through the wind. Perfection, just like a fairytale. I would love to relive the day all over again and the Slieve Russell is one of the main reasons why. The hotel, the staff, the food and the grounds were out off this world and I really can't thank you enough for giving us the best day ever. Thank you.

I can honestly say I could not find any fault in the service provided by all staff during our Wedding Weekend. Nothing we asked for was an issue. I actually don't think I have ever received such quality service. It really made the whole occasion go smoothly and let us just enjoy ourselves. This place really is a fabulous destination to have a wedding. I really recommend visiting the Slieve Russell as a possible destination. Anne Barnes and all the team really are 1st class at what they do.

The staff here were just amazing from day one till after the wedding nothing was to much to ask and everything was able to be done for us , the seating plan can be a nightmare but with the handy app provided this also made a very difficult job so so much easier, could not be more impressed even the guests are still commenting on how they want to go back now to play the golf course ...

We cannot say enough good things about this fabulous hotel. Planning our wedding with them was an absolute pleasure. Luckily we had only had wonderful experiences with them before our engagement so it was a no-brainer. Nothing was too much hassle and they were so accommodating. Everything was magnificent from the venue and decor, the rooms, the food, the grounds, the room service and every single staff member was amazing to deal with in all areas. We are so grateful they went above and beyond to make our day as special as possible.

From day dot The Slieve Russell Hotel went above and beyond, our journey from booking to the day of our wedding was made with ease and continued reassurance from the entire team. I had grown up not too far from the hotel but viewing it with our wedding co-ordinator showed me the beauty and elegance of the hotel in a whole different light. We had chosen our package in the Woodford&Erne Suite, the room is absolutely stunning! We were taken care of to no end from the managers, co ordinators, bar staff,serving staff, security and quality of the food was out of this world and all worked effortlessly with our vendors and band and other suppliers. The Slieve Russell for our wedding experience, is faultless. We look back and appreciate how lucky we were to work with an amazing team and beautiful location.

Great place to celebrate locally but in the luxury of such a fantastic location, no problem too big, all requests taken care of, great value for money, food amazing and staff second to none. Our family and friends enjoyed the entire weekend where even do we are local to the area we stayed and enjoyed the golf course, leisure facilities, bar and restaurant. Highly recommended and always will love returning for fine dining and a beautiful atmosphere.

Our wedding day was everything we have ever dreamed of, all thanks to the Slieve Russell hotel. It has always been my dream venue and when we went to the wedding fayre and met Anne, one of the wedding co-ordinators it became even more perfect. Anne was absolutely fantastic from start to finish, she was always there when we needed her and nothing was ever too much bother. The service delivered on our wedding day was amazing and the food was fabulous.

Our wedding day at the slieve russell hotel can only be described as PERFECT! We couldn't? be any happier with the service our guests received. From the minute we arrived at the hotel until we left on the following afternoon we felt like celebrities! ???? It was evident that the team went above and beyond to make our celebrations extra special. This was down to the work of an amazing wedding coordinator, general manager and a super team of highly trained staff. I am so grateful for their attention to detail.Any concerns that we may have had or issues we brought up on the lead up were definitely addressed. Key factors to any good wedding are the quality of food and service and without a doubt this is something that any guest at the hotel received.

We held our wedding here back in April, we both absolutely love the Slieve Russell the atmosphere and hospitality is there from the second you walk in. Choosing the venue for your wedding reception is never going to be easy. And we were no different, plus given that we were going to be organising our wedding from afar, we desperately needed a venue team that would make the organisation process a smooth one. In the end there would be only be one solution which we believed would deliver for us - and that was the Slieve Russell Hotel.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful, providing an ambiance that properly reflects the beauty of your own wedding day. But these fundamental aspects of the venue would mean nothing if the human aspect ? the quality of the organization, the flexibility around changes you wanted as a couple, the feeling that you are in control of how design of the event ? was lacking. From the first moment that we were put in contact with our wedding co-ordinator, Anne Barnes, we knew that we were in good hands. Her experience meant that we felt that we had the right advice for how to structure the reception, her communications were always timely and precise, and each request we made was dealt with in a flexible manner, even if it was outside the original package scope.
And all this came to fruition beautifully on the day itself. Everything was delivered flawlessly by the team, and this meant that we were totally free to revel in the joy of the occasion. The golf course and gardens provide gorgeous backdrops for our photos, each course of the meal was beautifully prepared, and the dancing went on very late into the night?..! We are so glad that we selected the Slieve Russell Hotel for our wedding day, and would highly recommend it to other couples who are trying to select that all-important venue.

What can we say only thank you so much to the amazing Slieve Russell Hotel and staff for making our Wedding Day so special and a dream come true. From the first day we went to look around the hotel in April 2017 we immediately fell in love with it and we instantly knew that this was the venue for us. We booked our date there and then and secured the Woodford and Erne suite for our dream date, Easter Monday 2018. The room is absolutely stunning with the beautiful cream and grey decor and on the day it looked even better than we could ever have imagined. The gardens are also absolutely gorgeous and have made the most beautiful pictures in our wedding album! From the wedding fayres, to menu tasting, picking our bridal suite and choosing the layout of the room the staff were so helpful all a long the way and made the experience and the whole build up so memorable and fun, we loved every dealing that we had in the hotel and with the staff. The staff really were so helpful and Shauna our wedding coordinator was amazing, nothing was a bother to her and she looked after us throughout the year right up until our big day. The management and staff on the day were also first class, the service and food was amazing so much so that our guests still talk about it being the best wedding they have attended. We really couldn't have asked for more and I would recommend this venue to anyone as they gave us the best day of our lives! We miss all our little visits to the hotel but we can't wait to come back again.

The service and staff of the slieve Russell were 1st class. The day was organised superbly. As a bride that was unable to be at the hotel the week running up to the big day due to travel distance, the staff were in touch regularly and were able to put together all the fine details on my behalf. I couldn't fault a thing.

We would definitely recommend the Slieve Russell after we had a fabulous Wedding weekend from start to finish. The Dare to Dream package worked very well and the Co-ordinators from the Hotel Viewing up to the day made it very easy to organise. The majority of our guests travelled, so the amount and quality of the accommodation was very important as well. All the staff were very helpful, polite and professional. The reception room looked lovely and the evening went so smoothly. Great weekend had by all.

From the moment we 'viewed' the slieve russell when choosing our venue we knew it was the venue for us and it didn't disappoint! A professional accomodating and adaptable service that allowed our wedding day to run smoothly, food that was second to none and a fantastic location for pictures. absolutely amazing from start to finish I really cannot fault them, If we changed our mind on any aspect of the day at any time they made no problems it was done in a flash. Myself and my bridesmaids had many a stay up there before our big day and we were treated like princesses every time from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Our guests raved about our food and the whole day from start to end. 3 couples have booked the venue for their wedding after they attended ours. We were given the bridal suite for the 4days we stayed which was a big plus for us , I know many friends that had to leave the bridal suite after one night to make room for the next couple. the Slieve Russell have 8 bridal rooms so that's never a problem. They threw in free rounds of golf for the groomsmen and for any other family members looking for a game the following day.They were on hand night and day to help with the planning and running of the whole wedding, On the day it was all done behind the scenes and everything ran so smoothly . I give this venue 11/10 and would highly recommend it to all you future brides and grooms

We were treated like royalty from the start. The venue was fantastic but the staff at that time were what made it so special. We have looked at going back at least two to three times a year since but unfortunately the prices seem to have gone up and we stayed once and the staff seem to have changed slightly also. Maybe due to morale and cutbacks made by the hotel. We have been to mount wolseley and fota island on numerous occassions now due to affordability since 2012.

We got married in the Slieve Russell hotel in July and could not have been happier with how the whole day went. In fact the whole experience of organizing our wedding with the Slieve Russell was brilliant. We dealt with our wedding coordinator leading up to the wedding and found her great to deal with, nothing was too much for her and they were there to answer every question we had.
The hotel was one thing I did not worry about coming up to the wedding as they were in close contact with me making sure everything was ok, keeping me informed and there to answer every call.
On the day they were fantastic and I couldn't fault them in any way, Jennifer the wedding coordinator was there to greet us and our guests when we arrived and made sure everything run according to plan, she was there the whole time from we arrived until after the speeches making sure we were happy and keeping the whole thing flowing. They played the song we requested for the entrance, put our favors and cards on the tables and nothing was too much trouble. The meal was excellent and everyone was talking about it afterwards. The staff were so helpful and courteous the whole day. Everyone we spoke to had nothing but high praise for the hotel itself, the staff and how efficient they were and the beautiful meal they received.

From the moment we viewed the Slieve Russell Hotel as a potential venue for our December wedding, we were in love! The hotels situation with its beautiful grounds, golf course and secret garden set the perfect scene and we began imagining our wedding photographs set against such a scenic background. The wonderful warmth we received from the hotel staff was equaled only by the cozy fires lighting up the plush, comfortable lobby and we immediately felt like we were home! On the day of our wedding every minute detail was attended to by the wonderful staff, from the beautifully dressed function room to the outstanding service and sumptuous meal that even now people are still praising!

From the very beginning, our wedding coordinator Bridie was simply amazing. Over the past few months she has been so patient, organised and supportive, making the entire planning process completely stress-free. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we always felt we were in the best hands.
A huge thank you to Tracey, Katie and Emma on Reception, who were always so warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Every interaction was met with a smile, and they made both us and our guests feel so well looked after. The front of house staff that welcomed us with prosecco were so attentive and friendly.
To Gosia, Tony, Sarah and all of the incredible team, to the ladies who served our dinner (I think Kathleen & Carmel) but they made us feel right at home and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you for delivering the most unbelievable dinner service. Serving over 300 guests so seamlessly is no easy task, yet every course arrived perfectly. We genuinely couldn’t fault a thing.
The food deserves a special mention. We had guests travel from all over Ireland, and the people from Cork kept saying they had never tasted beef like it! The quality of the meal was exceptional, and everyone is still talking about it.
A special mention also to the porters, who were among the friendliest and most helpful people we met throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to help both us and our guests.
Every single member of staff played a part in making our wedding unforgettable. The professionalism, warmth and genuine care shown by the entire team was second to none.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue for 2027 or 2028, we couldn’t recommend the Slieve Russell highly enough. It truly is one of the best hotels in Ireland, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated our wedding there.
