Tinakilly Country House

We had our wedding in Tinakilly earlier this month. They were super easy to deal with even at the start when we were trying to pick a place in the middle of lockdown. Unlike all the other venues, they never pressured us to put down a deposit before we could see the place in person. As soon as we managed to visit we knew it was the right choice for us, the grounds and house are absolutely beautiful. Bebhinn was great to deal with, she was always happy to answer questions no matter how many we had and she made our pre-wedding meeting so easy. On the wedding day itself, she and the rest of the team were phenomenal, the set up far exceeded our expectations and our guests constantly commented on what a great venue it was. Food was absolutely delicious too. Definitely the best venue I’ve ever been at (even if I am a bit biased)!

We had the most amazing wedding at Tinakilly House in August!! The team were so incredible and such a big support when we had to postpone twice due to Covid and being in Australia. We are so grateful for all the emails and phone calls, they were always so quick to reply. On the day everything ran so smoothly and they made us feel so special. They are so professional and it made planning our wedding so much easier than we had imagined! Thank you thank you!

Over all we were absolutely delighted with the wedding. The venue is incredible and the food and service on the day was amazing. I was staying the night before the wedding in the house and I had sent an email the previous day which wasn’t responded to. When I got there none of the wedding team was there and the receptionist was new and didn’t k ow any information. After finding the facilities manager, he helped me by contacting Roisin. She told me that they had 5 days of wedding on the trot and we’re off. Which was completely understandable. I just would have appreciated if I had of known this as from the brides point of view, it felt like no one was responding. However after speaking to Roisin on the phone, she reassured me which was great. As I said the day itself was amazing and one that we will never forget. The guests loved the evening food but it was very quick to go and finally my sister and her family had stayed 2 nights. The camp bed her child was sleeping on disappeared on the second night and her and the porter had to go around looking for one. Once found she then had to carry it on her own as he said he could as he hurt his arm. I know it sounds like I have a few complaints but over all we really did love it and would do it all over again there but these few things are definitely things that should be improved.

Tinakilly was a fantastic venue and provided an excellent service for our wedding. We would highly recommend them.

Tinakilly was our dream wedding venue. We attended a wedding there three years before our own and immediately fell in love with its unique charm. From our initial correspondence with the venue until our wedding day, the wedding team went above and beyond for us. We started looking at wedding venues in the middle of lockdown when no viewings were possible. Tinakilly were incredible and held a wedding date for us until they reopened and it was possible to view the venue and officially book. This is only a small example of how far the team will go for you and how special the venue is. We would strongly recommend Tinakilly to any couple.

Best wedding venue ever! The wedding team at Tinakilly is the epitome of professionalism. I cannot thank Bebhinn and Roisin enough for all they did. They made a very chaotic day seamless and relaxing. I am beyond impressed. Now, I don’t plan to have another wedding but if I did, I would come here over and over again. The food was delicious and the venue was divine. Everything was exactly as I wanted, if not better!!! Thank you!

We had our wedding at Tinakilly House in April. As soon as we walked in we knew it was the right venue for us. The wedding team were always responsive to emails and willing to sort out anything we needed. On the day, the house and the pavilion were so beautifully decorated, the service was great and the guests all praised the staff and the food. They looked after everyone so well on the day and we felt they couldn't do enough for us. The wedding ran like clockwork and we didn't have to worry about a thing. All of the staff, from the reception team to the banqueting team right through to the night porter and the staff in the residents bar were so kind and helpful on the day. We are so glad we chose Tinakilly for our wedding it was an unforgettable day!

Thank you Tinakilly for our wedding party! Roisin, Bebhinn, AB, Marian, Joan and the rest of the team: we sincerely cannot thank you enough – you were fantastic from start to finish. We were living abroad when booking our event and, with Covid also a factor, we had a 2 week window to finalise a venue while in Ireland during December 2020. Tinakilly outdid themselves at every opportunity. First, we walked in the main door and were immediately mesmerized by the beautiful Christmas tree in the hallway, and welcomed by the fireplace, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Marian brought tea and mince pies while we waited to meet Roisin (we were early, Roisin was on time). Nice venue – check! Organising a wedding party is not easy and less so when doing it from abroad. Queue Roisin, the second big statement that Tinakilly offered to us. The first thing she said exactly how we felt: ‘we want it to feel like a home’. More so, she was knowledgeable, friendly and everything we could have wanted. We had full confidence in her from the start. Finally, the Pavilion. We saw it during the day when it wasn’t even set up and were blown away. As incredible as the house itself was, the Pavilion sold the venue , from the Chandelier to the rustic Spanish tables - it was for us. Perfect venue, perfect planners and perfect reception area, what more could you ask for? Roisin and Bebhinn were always on hand for a call or just some reassurances throughout as we tried to make the day our own and, without them, wouldn’t have had the day we wanted. They facilitated us in customizing our event and offered so much support and guidance through the ups and downs of Covid and the difficulties of trying to manage from abroad. We cannot stress enough how little impact Covid and organizing from abroad had on our day because the team made it seamless for us. The day itself was absolutely flawless. Marian, Roisin and the team had everything set up perfectly with no help needed from us – they know what works best and are fantastic. Both of us and the guests all had a fantastic time. We got married in Tinakilly on the 28th of December 2021 & cannot recommend them highly enough! Roisin, Marian and the wedding team were incredible - from organizing the menu tasting to the wedding party meal the night before to coordinating on the wedding day, everything was so seamless and special. Due to Covid we moved our wedding date with the help of Roisin, who was so caring and compassionate throughout. The service and food were amazing- our guests loved it! The memories they gave us will last a lifetime, we can't wait to go back for our first wedding anniversary - thank you all so much! x

We had a really long road with Tinakilly having to move our wedding three times. They were lovely to work with and the place was beautiful. Other than a little confusion at the end with the closing our account with them and hidden costs etc, we had a good experience.

We had our Wedding Celebration in Tinakilly House in October 2021! Our complete experience from initially booking our wedding, then having to postpone the date 4 times to finally having our wedding in October 2021 was so professional, helpful and streamlined for us! Roisin was just amazingly supportive throughout and nothing was too much trouble for her. This was extended further by Bebhinn, Anne and Abi who were so warm, helpful and welcoming. They all managed to make the experience absolutely magical for us and we really cannot thank them enough! We have no hesitation in highly recommending Tinakilly House for any event and we have done so at every opportunity!

My husband and I got married in Tinakilly in Sept 2021, having rescheduled from 2020. Roisin, Bebhinn, AB and all of the team could not have been more helpful with all of the changes. On the day itself, they made sure everything ran incredibly smoothly without us having to think about everything. They even were able to let us postpone making a decision on whether to get married outside until the last minute so we were able to get our dream wedding under the trees. Could not recommend Tinakilly as a venue for a wedding more.

Terrible experience with this hotel. Cancelled my celebration 3 days before my booking because they had a bigger party booked. Lied and told me hotel was closed.

Tinakilly is simply magical, and we are so happy with our choice of venue for our special day. Roisin, the fabulous wedding coordinator is a pleasure to work with (and of course the lovely Bebhinn, her right hand woman). We were well looked after from our initial contact with all the team there. We oringially were going to have our wedding in the Halpin Suite but once we took one look at the Pavillion, we were sold. There are so many beautiful arrangements and features in the room, the decor, the lights, the colouring - we didn't need to add one thing as it was already perfect. We cannot reccomend Tinakilly as a wedding venue enough. It is a beautiful, unique venue with so much to offer. We just wish we could do it all over again there... For anyone thinking of booking Tinakilly for their wedding, you will not regret it! We had the most amazing wedding day in December. It exceeded all my expectations (which were already very high!). Ann Marie and all the team in Tinakilly were so accommodating, helpful and enthusiastic to deal with. Nothing was too much for them and we visited the venue a few times prior to our wedding. The venue itself is stunning and as it was Christmas time, we had fabulous Christmas trees decorating the reception room and entrance. The food.....amazing! Our guests are still raving about it. It was genuinely some of the best food I’ve had at a wedding and plenty for everyone! The vegetarian menu also went down a treat with multiple compliments from guests afterwards. The wine.....also amazing! Plenty of options at the menu tasting, it was all so good we had a hard time deciding!! All in all, the most amazing and perfect wedding venue. Could not fault a single thing! We’ll definitely back for a visit

The team at Tinakilly we’re great to work with and very helpful with planning our wedding. On the day itself all staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The food is amazing and the venue itself is just stunning. We really had a fairytale wedding at Tinakilly and lots of our guests say it was the best wedding they had ever been too. Amazing venue !! Amazing staff ! Norma (wedding coordinator) was so informative and helpful. The staff took care of everything and the day went very smoothly. We choose tinakilly house for our wedding as we fell in love with it as soon as we walked in and we have no regrets at all as it really provided us with our dream wedding.Everything ran so smoothly from morning to noon and everything was taken care of us and reassured not to worry about anything on the day . Big thank you to Norma and Roisin who could not have done more for us we couldn’t have done it without them, so thank you ladies again for all your help and kindness. We had our wedding in Tinakilly House in July of this year. We had an absolutely amazing day from start to finish. Even though we only had a small number we received 5* treatment. Staff, management,atmosphere and food were all excellent and the children were made to feel welcome and part of the celebrations which was very important to us. Also the grounds and scenery are out of this world and our photos turned out great.

We had the best day ever at Tinakilly! The owners and staff were absolutely fantastic throughout the planning process and wedding and surpassed every expectation we had. We felt like we were at home in the house all weekend as we were so looked after every minute, Tinakilly House itself has a wonderful atmosphere - so comfortable and welcoming while being surrounded by spectacular beauty. The staff were more than accommodating to all our special requests and even gave us ideas and helpful tips from their own experience which really helped us plan our perfect day. On the day itself they went above and beyond to make sure we and all our guests had the best experience, we are so happy we chose this venue for our wedding.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Tinakilly to anyone planning their wedding! From the moment we met Norma at our 1st viewing, we knew this was the venue for us! Norma was so open and helpful throughout our viewing! The wedding team were fantastic throughout the planning process and the team on our wedding day, particular mention to A.B. and Sissel, made our guests feel so welcome and comfortable and no request was too much! The decor in the main house and the pavilion was beautiful and the food was delicious! We are still getting compliments on the wedding today!

Having my wedding at Tinakilly was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made while organising it. I had heard loads of great things about it before I had to look for a venue myself and I knew as soon as I walked into the house it was the place I wanted to have my wedding. It was a perfect blend of what both my husband and I wanted. The staff were so caring and lovely and if you needed anything they would go out of their way to help you out. I’m a bit of a worrier and they were fantastic at reassuring me that everything would go smoothly. We also had to make some last minute changes to things and they were so accommodating. They really just wanted to make sure it was the best day of our lives. We are so incredibly happy with the kindness, professionalism and beauty Tinakilly has to offer and we would 100% recommend that you pick them as your choice of venue.

Had our wedding here late September and everything from start to finish went so well. We were thrilled with everything. Would highly recommend the venue.

We can not fault the team at Tinakilly espically Alan in the lead up to our day. They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Our guests are still raving about the fabulous venue. We wish we could do it all again. We would have no hesitation in recommending Tinakilly as a wedding venue.

This review was for a Special Birthday on 19th July. It was a great location. Gardens lovely. Room decorated beautifully. We had a a drinks reception and canapes, beforehand.

Great service on the day for my sons wedding

Tinakilly is the most beautiful venue with the most amazing staff. They are so helpful and attentive and couldn’t have done more for us in the lead up to and on our big day. The venue on the day was spectacular and feedback we have received from our guests has been fantastic.

Tinakilly Hotel was the first place we viewed when we got engaged and fell in love with it immediately. From the first visit and every time after, the staff treated us so well and we felt very special and looked after. This was a consistent experience that our families felt every time they visited Tinakilly and stayed over (without mentioning we were getting married there). All our guests also commented on how wonderful, friendly and good banter the staff were (even when asked to make the millionth espresso martini of the night!!!!) Having worked in hotels, I know how difficult it is to work at weddings but the staff maintained a positive energy from start to finish making the day so special for us. We have not stopped receiving positive feedback about the venue from our guests and some have even re-visited Tinakilly a few times since. Tinakilly House has made a big impact on many of them. The Wedding Team organised everything for us, facilitated every phone call / email or query we may have had in a calm manner and without making us feel neurotic! It was the most wonderful experience arriving to the venue to get married and the whole team were there to welcome me and my dad getting out of the car. They calmed my nerves before walking into the Halpin Suite to get married and they were there to congratulate us after with some bubbles. The food and drinks were top quality - managing to serve 160 people freshly cooked steak and hake was no mean feat. The staff also managed to work with the change in weather and quickly moved the drinks reception outside for everyone to enjoy the grounds and sunshine that had miraculously appeared. The room was decorated so beautifully and little was involved on our part in making that happen, which was a positive aspect as those were the details we did not have time or energy to consider. Having your meal and being able to look down to the sea while surrounded by trees and foliage is very special. I would highly recommend Tinakilly Country House for a wedding as they really focus on the small things making the process so easy and seamless for the couple. We would love to do it all again as it is such a magical place.

Our biggest thanks to Tinakilly House for providing us with a wonderful day. Hannah and Kimberly were so helpful in the run up. Also huge thanks to Abi who ensured we were always well looked after. We never had to worry about anything! Our day was perfect, we wouldn't have picked any other venue! The Pavillion is such a stunning location for a wedding reception! The food was absolutely top-class with so many compliments from our guests, we will never forget the fabulous apple and berry crumble for dessert. We would highly recommend it to anyone considering it as a wedding venue.

We absolutely loved Tinakilly. It is a really personal and intimate venue, whilst still being capable of taking large enough numbers. We had a winter wedding here and it was really magical lit up with lots of fairy lights. The staff on the day were incredibly friendly and the whole place has a lovely family atmosphere. All of our guests have been giving us great feedback, we'd be happy to recommend it to anyone.

A really beautiful venue. The Pavilion has a lovely conservatory feel and they have a lot of decor already like fairy lights, cake stand, plants, so you don't have to add that much yourself. It's perfect for a shabby chic wedding (it's not actually shabby, just that kind of vintage style). The food was excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time!

Incredible ambiance in a relaxed intimate setting. From the moment we set foot in Tinakilly we fell in love with the place and decided this was to be our venue. We recently got married onsite in Tinakilly House Hotel and I cannot recommend the venue and staff highly enough. All staff from management through to waiting staff were amazing courteous, helpful and flexible, any problem was solved immediately. Our guests loved the venue, food and accomodation. Additionally the venue was fantastic for photo opportunities as both the house and grounds are so well maintained and picturesque. We did not have one regret having our entire wedding here.

We had our wedding here back when Tinakilly were just beginning weddings under their new ownership (June 2014) and were blown away by the beauty of the pavilion, the friendliness and professionalism of the service, and how magical the day was made for us. Many guests remarked that the house was so beautiful and special that it made ours the best wedding they'd been to that year.

My husband and I had a small civil ceremony at the Hse offices in April. Not the best venue in the world but the wedding reception dinner in Tinakilly House more than compensated for it. We had our meal in a private room organized for us by Orla which made for a lovely intimate atmosphere as we had a very small party of ten including ourselves. The food was lovely and every member of staff was very helpful and attentive to us. We had the run of the house and the grounds for photos and luckily the sun shone. My husband and I got married on the 12th July 2012 and we had our wedding reception at Tinakilly House Hotel. We both could not recommend Tinakilly House Hotel highly enough as the whole experience was so enjoyable. All of our guests said so many wonderful things about the hotel and in particular the staff it made me so glad we picked Tinakilly House Hotel for our wedding reception. Oral looked after everything with such care for us. I stayed there the night before the wedding and all the small but important things that all of the staff there did made our wedding day wonderful. The food was just amazing and the attention to detail was superb. Tinakilly House Hotel will be in our happiest of memories forever.

Orla, Just wanted to write a short note to thank you again for the wonderful memories we have of tinakilly it was certainly the best weekend of our lives and you and your team played a huge part in this. The service the night before the wedding was fantastic it really was special to our family as we don't meet that much and it was fantastic to have somewhere private to chat and eat. The day of the wedding got of to the best of starts as I was up at 6.40 the fire was still going In the main reception and it really felt like home. From that time on everything ran seamlessly. The food was fantastic and people commented afterwards that the staff were super friendly and in a world where service is going out the window it really is something special to get great service. This brings me to the day after where again the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel we did not leave until after five in the afternoon as we chatted with friends and family for most of the day. Myself and my husband would highly recommend Tinakilly house and hotel as a wedding venue, not only is it a stunning house with fabulous rooms and beautiful grounds and scenery. I had to organise my Wedding from Australia, and let me tell you – Tinakilly house could not have been more helpful if they tried. Tinakilly’s Wedding manager –Orla, was one in a million. We picked Tinakilly as I wanted to showcase my hometown of Wicklow to my new Australian family – all 26 of them! To say they were impressed was putting it mildly! Orla arranged rooms with a view for our guests, and they were really impressed with four poster beds and magnificent views. All our guests, Irish, English & Australian were equally impressed with the venue. (we were also blessed with good weather!) I arrived home a week before the wedding and met up with Orla then. We had our tasting (did I mention my husband is a chef – Michelin star trained?) and the food was plentiful and divine! We saw our wedding room, ran through the timing, table names, flowers etc, and that was pretty much it. They were so organised, it made it easy on me. There were some things that really made Tinakilly special to me, 1. The day before the wedding, all our family and friends were out at Tinakilly having lunch and drinkies. I was a little stressed, and people kept telling me what I “should” do different. Orla walked into the room, took one look, and asked me to come to the function room to discuss some things. When we got there, she said “you looked like you needed a break, you’re doing a great job, it’s fantastic that you’ve organised so much from Australia, and don’t pay any attention to others opinions” It was the right thing to say at the right time. 2. The big day – Everything ran incredibly smoothly, the food arrived on time and was cooked to perfection. My husband thanked the chef personally and was truly impressed with the standard of food. It was lovely that our guests could order their meal, rather than alternative drop too.Glasses were kept full, the tables looked amazing, it was magic. At one stage our MC said “we’ll take a few bets on the length of speeches, can we get some paper & pens” Within seconds, Orlagh was handing them out. I just felt I didn’t have to worry, this lady had everything in hand. 3. The honeymoon suite – amazing! Thank you Tinakilly house & you’re amazing staff – managers, wait staff, barmen & chefs, you truly made our day special!

We had our wedding in Tinakilly on the 4th of October, 2012. It was a beautiful day. From start to finish, everything ran really smoothly thanks to the hotel staff who were really professional and friendly with everyone. Throughout the planning stages of the wedding, Tinakilly was open to all our ideas, which left us free to put a personal touch on every aspect of the ceremony and the decor. This made our entire day distinctly ‘us’. The hotel itself and the fabulous grounds made for beautiful photographs on the day. The food was delicious. A special thank you to our wedding co-ordinator, Orla, who worked closely with us at each stage of the planning process. She was helpful and supportive at all times. Her care and attention on the day left us free to enjoy ourselves without worrying about every detail. Our guests were the ones who gave the hotel the highest compliment, telling us afterwards how relaxed they were on the day because they saw how chilled out the bride and groom were. Thanks to Tinakilly for taking care of every detail so we could enjoy our guests and remember our big day as being truly perfect
