You might recognise the beautiful bride, Claire Malone, who is a fabulous wedding singer! She tied the knot to her hubby, Paddy in a gorgeous barn wedding at Segrave Barns. We love their boho theme with shades of cream, brown and green.

Claire and paddy met through Paddy’s sister, Katy!
“I knew Paddy’s sister, Katy socially in town. I was due to meet her on a birthday night whilst I was out with friends on a Christmas night out. She walked in and said, ‘Claire, have you met my brother?’ I turned around and we were hooked immediately.”
We love their wedding style! They opted for a boho theme with creams, browns and greens.
Claire wore a fitted, backless cream/white dress. It was T-shirt lace style up to her neck.
Paddy is very adventurous and wore a brown and cream check suit with a waistcoat. His hair was longer at the time, so he wore it in a plait.
Claire’s bridesmaids wore light green draped boho style dresses from Asos.
Paddy’s best man wore a wine coloured suit.
Claire describes their ceremony as emotional. Her dad had been very ill leading up to the wedding, and at 8:40 on the morning of the wedding, Claire got the call that it wouldn’t be safe for him to attend. As you can imagine, she was devastated!
This is what she said about it:
“I considered cancelling it all right there or driving to the hospital in my dress (which I did 2 days later). With the help of everyone around me and the venue, I got it together and finally got down the aisle, crying the whole way – happy emotional tears. He watched from a screen and was a huge part of the ceremony. I spoke to him throughout. Karen Ni Dhiomsaigh, our celebrant and my friend, was incredible and everyone felt all of the emotion. I had picked songs that I had visualised for years and my great friends Ingrid Madsen, Dave Browne and Yann O Brien performed them. It was so special. That ceremony will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
They chose the gorgeous Segrave Barns for their wedding ceremony and reception venue!
“I remember when we viewed it, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t performed there and it was so close to where I lived and never knew of it. I woke up the next day after dreaming about it and Paddy said, ‘Well then that’s the venue’. It’s just dreamy. The woods, the barn, the house, the amazing owners and staff, the Alpacas. Every bit of it is just special.”
Their wedding was beautifully captured by Daniel of DKPHOTO and Cathal Farrelly on video! Claire had worked with Daniel many times and had been stalking his pages and just knew he was the one. She says his work is excellent and they love their pictures! Cathal’s cinematic style is what got Claire and Paddy’s attention. He captured everything exactly how they wanted it and they bawled while watching the teaser video.
To entertain their guests, they went all out!
Crepe Wagon provided canapés outside, which were delicious.
Diva Waiters are some of Claire’s favourites, so she had to hop up and join the girls for a song.
Gino, the Singing Chef was available to book when they chose the venue and provided lots of fun after the meal.
Carolyn’s Sweets provided a vintage photobooth, donuts, Tayto crisp sandwiches and a popcorn machine. Claire wanted a selection and it was a hit with everyone!
Claire has so many amazing memories from the Big Day.
“There are so many parts. The ceremony for me was just so so special. That and the first dance in the woods with the babies and our friends surrounding us with sparklers. Beautiful.”
We love asking newlyweds for their wedding planning advice. This is what Claire and Paddy said:
“Take every single minute of it in. I am a control freak a lot of the time and can be a stress head at all events I run. I said to myself I’m not going to miss out on anything by stressing out. What will be will be. I spoke to everyone, I listened to everyone, I took every bit of it in. Just don’t stress – everyone is there for you.”
