Segrave Barns
Segrave Barns is a unique wedding venue comprising four beautiful barns in close proximity, all of which combine to play an important part in your big day!
Ashtree Barn is a 4-bedroomed stone-built barn which is included in all wedding packages here, and is often the scene of much merriment on a wedding morning with the arrival of make-up artists, photographers, videographers and hairdressers (depending on the package selected)! The 75ft-long upstairs living area lends itself well to such occasions, and is available for up to 3 nights, again depending on the package selected. The balcony has beautiful sea views overlooking Clogherhead, and the sound of waves can be heard crashing on the stunning beach, which is often used for wedding photographs.
Holly Barn is used solely for all indoor wedding ceremonies. A fully-integrated sound system means that all guests can hear the ceremony with ease whilst the room still retains the old-style charm of a rustic barn. Our woodland area nearby is a perfect place for an outdoor ceremony, and along with our gardens and lake is a great location for wedding photos. Other favoured locations include the beach and nearby fields, whilst not forgetting the photogenic appeal of the resident donkeys and alpacas!
Oak Barn is an ideal location both for pre-ceremony refreshments and for post-ceremony drinks and speeches, with an integrated sound system and a charming, fully-licensed bar.
Willow Barn is the jewel in the crown; a beautiful barn with stone walls and high-raftered ceilings. It is the setting for the wedding meal, entertainment and late-night dancing. Adjacent is our own fully-licensed bar, Dunany Pint, reminiscent of a shebeen of olden times. It opens straight after the meal; up to that point service is through the hatch in the wall. Willow Barn can comfortably seat up to 220 guests and has an extremely high quality sound system, as well as a modern and highly adaptable lighting system. A huge 4m x 3m projector screen, a projector, a DVD player, and a computer can also be used to help personalise your wedding with albums of photographs or video messages.
Wedding guests can book a glamping POD for either one, two, or three nights, depending on the package booked. We have 8 pods in total, 7 of which can sleep up to 4 guests. A number of guests will receive a unique booking code from the wedding couple in order to access our online booking system to book their POD.

We had the best day of our lives there and this is a credit to this beautiful venue and all the staff. Everything runs like clockwork but in the least stressful way ever, we didn't have to worry about a thing.

Getting ready in Ashtree Barn was like a dream. The amount of space was more than enough for the whole family to enjoy breakfast and still feel involved in the hair and make up party. The amount of light in the room created a lovely, fresh atmosphere and allowed for amazing prep photos.
The staff were fantastic in guiding the bridal party to the forest for the ceremony and being greeted after with a glass of bubbly was such a nice touch. From entering the forest ceremony, to the ease of the reception, the fantastic relaxed area for speeches and being serenaded by the singing chef - it was, for us, the most amazing day and we could not have asked for more out of Segrave Barns. They gave us the day of our dreams.
We cannot thank them enough for such an amazing day/weekend!
