Meet Vanessa and Peter, a lovely couple who said ‘I do’ with a gorgeous Autumn wedding!
Vanessa and Peter met at a pub! They got engaged during lockdown in December 23020. Peter surprised Vanessa on her birthday with an extra note written on the back of her birthday card. How romantic!
As they got married in Autumn, they opted for a rustic theme with dark green, brown, reds, peaches and whites.
Vanessa wore an off-white dress with a lace sweetheart neckline bust, lace open back, feather details, and a detailed princess skirt.
Peter wore a classic charcoal black two-piece with a seasonal buttonhole and an ivory tie, a burgundy belt, and burgundy Italian shoes.
The bridesmaids wore ivy green full dresses with spaghetti straps and a slit in the skirt.
The groomsmen wore charcoal suits and dark green ties.
They describe their wedding ceremony as ‘very personal’.
“We had a Celtic oathing stone ceremony, various readings by friends, and an homage to our ancestors whose rings we are wearing. We had a brilliant harpist Sinead Walshe who did our music.”
To entertain their guests, they had a harpist for the ceremony and later for the reception, they had a pianist (Joe Kenny) as well as their DJ, Dermon Kelly for the dancing. They also hired a vintage VW bus to drive them from location to location.
This is their favourite memory of the Big Day: “
Newlyweds give the best wedding planning advice:
“Don’t stress about the details. Everything will happen as it happens, just focus on each other and you’ll enjoy it, regardless.”
