Our happy couple today, Miriam and Ronan met as students in the Gaeltacht in the summer of 2004. Twelve years on they got engaged and last summer they said their vows at a beautiful, happy summer wedding ceremony in St James Church Bushypark, Galway.

“We planned our day with the help of lots of bubbly! My sister brought us to a wedding fair soon after we got engaged and the ball started rolling from there. Friends and family shared great tips and advice about timings and suppliers. Most of our suppliers were recommended to us, we booked a few based on word of mouth alone and loved working with each one of them. We were really blessed with who we chose,” said Miriam.

Wearing a stunning white beaded Eliza Jane Howell gown Miriam was nervous for her big walk up the aisle but as soon as she arrived, those nerves vanished.

“I had been a bit nervous about walking into the church, I’m not a fan of being the centre of attention but once my dad and I got to the entrance I was put at ease instantly. Words can’t describe the feeling of seeing all your favourite people in one place especially when your friend who travelled from Sydney is the first person you see!” she added.

Our Wedding Film

“We chose Alec from Luminaire Weddings. We saw his work online, got in touch and never looked back. He was incredible, such a gentleman and unbelievably calm, he even stayed late!! We’re thrilled with the video.”
