It’s always especially lovely to share wedding stories of childhood sweethearts and our couple today, Elaine and Barry, are just that. Having met at school the couple have been together for 12 years and said I Do this past June having returned home from Sydney where they now live.
“After we got engaged we spent 10 months not even thinking about the wedding. We spent another six months tossing around ideas of what type of wedding we wanted and what country we would get married in. Once we found the venue we booked it and organised everything in 10 months,” explained Elaine.
The couple choose Tulfarris Hotel in Blessington because of it’s modern and laid-back appeal. “We fell in love with the quirky courtyard and the fact we could have our ceremony and reception at the one location,” added Elaine. “The day was brilliant, we couldn’t pin point one moment as our stand out highlight, we had such an amazing day. But there was a sigh of relief after the speeches, that all the formalities were done.”
“My friends insisted I get a videographer and in hindsight I am so glad I did. Mario really captured the vibe of the day, special looks and glances, as well as the ceremony and the speeches. It was lovely to see your wedding day through someone else’s eyes,” said Elaine.
