Wedding Content Creators: What Are They & Do You Need One?

Inspiration

When you think of traditional wedding suppliers you’ll think of florists, photographers and videographers, to name a few. These experts play a huge part in your day, using their craft to deliver the best service and products, but there is a new kid on the block that lots of 2024 couples are wondering about: wedding content creators. If you’ve heard of them but don’t really understand what they are, today we hope to help you understand.

What is a Wedding Content Creator?

We live in a world where Instagram Reels and TikTok trends rule. Social media content is a huge thing and in the minds of, well, everyone! Even if your social media is only for friends, family and your followers, you may still like to share content from your day after the nuptials, but a wedding content creator will take it that one step further, they will share it in real time (or after the wedding if you prefer).

Unlike your photographer or videographer, wedding content creators capture moments throughout your day, usually on an iPhone. They can work in tandem with your photographer to get more of a ‘behind the scenes vibe, capturing candid content that you will enjoy reliving.

Do you need one?

This is a very personal decision, but of course they are not a wedding day necessity. If creating fabulous content is your vibe, go ahead and hire a professional creator to capture the most perfect day of your life! Do remember that a content creator is not a replacement for a photographer or videographer, those are non-negotiable services in our books. If a wedding content creator sounds like fun for you and your other half do your research for someone who you gel with, and that you can include their services within your budget. You don’t have to be hugely into social media to warrant having a content creator for your day – you may just love the extra footage of the behind the scenes moments.
