We recently got married in Clontarf, Monica and her team were fantastic from the start and right through. On the day, everything ran so smoothly. Monica was incredible, helped us throughout the day. Food was delicious. Highly recommended!

Thank you to the staff at Clontarf Castle,we booked our wedding reception back in September 2024 and we were married on 20/07/2026 and we loved every minute of our stay.The food,the staff,the rooms,we loved it all!!

The moment we stepped into Clontarf Castle to view it, we knew it was the place for us. Everyone we met couldn't have been more helpful and engaged with us, making us feel special every minute, from the initial viewing to the menu tasting to our wedding day.

The wedding coordinator Monica was fantastic -we were always able to contact her and she made sure our day went off without a hitch. The level of organisation was so impressive and all the staff at Clontarf Castle couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We honestly couldn't fault a thing. The food on the night was delicious and portions very generous - so many of our guests complimented the food.

We got married in Clontarf Castle in July 2024. Such an amazing venue, so stunning! We knew from the 1st second walking through the doors that the castle was where we wanted to celebrate our day. Our coordinator Monica and the whole team could not have been more helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, every one of our guests were thrilled with the selections. We had comments for weeks after about how beautiful the venue was and how friendly all the staff were. We would recommend Clontarf Castle time and time again. Its such a special place; we'll cherish the memories created there forever.

We got married in clontarf castle on the 14th Jan in a slightly different wedding day style. We had immediate family for our ceremony and a meal after and we invited all our friends and family from 6pm. We offered food and 6, 8 and 10pm and clontarf castle were so supportive of all our requirements. Everything flowed so well! It was an amazing day. Only thing I would say is they don’t allow this type of wedding on a Friday or Saturday and overall cost is not too different to a traditional wedding so I think they need to rethink this! Food was amazing and so was the service! Highly recommend

We had an amazing date at Clontarf Castle. The staff looked after every detail. We used the Viking suite as it was just a small group. I have no complaints, it was brilliant! They even went out of their way to accommodate my Dad who is in a wheelchair and he had a great day. The food was fabulous. I'd love to do it all again!

Clontarf Castle we?re amazing . They said yes to pretty much everything we asked , nothing was a problem. All our vests have commented since how much they enjoyed the day out in Clontarf!

Myself and my husband had our wedding day on 30th April 2022, from the moment we booked in the team literally could not have done any more for us .Sinead Moloney the wedding manager at a Clontarf Castle was an amazing help throughout our planning & always so responsive !

Everything went exactly how we imagined and we are very grateful for all the hard work that was put in by Sinead and all the team. Nothing was too much trouble.
On the day of the wedding from the morning right up to the evening Sinead and Ash were on hand and had everything under control for us .

The most amazing wedding hotel venue!! We chose Clontarf Castle as it had sentimental reasons too with my folks getting married there 51 years ago. Our original date was May 21 but due to Covid it was moved to 30th Dec and we?re so glad it was moved, it's the most magical place at Xmas. We are so so happy with everything, from the moment we decided on Clontarf Castle we knew we?d chosen the right venue. The staff, food, hotel itself is all just out of this world. We were so delighted with the hospitality we received not only on our wedding day but on every visit prior. We booked Clontarf based on the initial impression we received at the wedding showcase and the genuine interest staff had in their job and our wedding. We are delighted to say that this remained the case all the way up to and even now after our wedding. What a fantastic hotel venue & staff. The beauty of the castle tells it's own tale but the staff really make you feel like King & Queen of the Castle.

We recently had the pleasure of getting married in Clontarf Castle. I felt compelled to write this review to convey my absolute gratitude to Clontarf Castle for how they conducted our wedding. We had an unusual small intimate celebration. Despite the small size of our party Clontarf Castle couldn't have been more accommodating, offering us numerous options in terms of rooms and dining. They also met with us many times in advance, advising us on every aspect of the wedding, offering suggestions in terms of suppliers and a celebrant. Our ceremony was carried out in the Tower Suite which is a beautiful intimate room that retains its historical roots. On the day of our wedding they went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations by overseeing all aspects of our ceremony including being our DJ. The icing on the cake was a lovely surprise in terms of they had taken a photo of us directly after the ceremony and printed it off our menus in the Fahrenheit restaurant, such a thoughtful detail in addition to a beautiful gift they gave us that we will cherish forever. The venue itself needs no explanation, authentic, stunning and steeped in history and the food was second to none. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day. Whether you are having a large wedding or a small wedding like ours I would recommend Clontarf Castle to all. Our experience with Clontarf Castle was nothing short of extraordinary, start to finish.



Deborah has been our point of liaison with the Castle and our wedding coordinator, and honestly I believe she secretly is the Castle's Fairy, as she was absolutely magical throughout the process.



We had Clontarf Hotel on our shortlist of wedding venues, and despite it being pricier than our other options, we felt that the location and service level provided was worth the extra cost. Needless to say it was the best decision we made for our wedding.



We had initially planned to have a simple wedding in the Registrar's office with only a couple of witnesses, but this very quickly escalated to it being a full-on medium sized wedding. Time was short and I am sure we couldn't have pulled it without the help of the extraordinary staff at the Castle, under Deborah's careful guidance and supervision. We have opted for the Viking Suite, as it was more appropriate for our wedding size (in around 70pax). Despite it being smaller than the main hall, it has a certain je ne sais quoi about it, a castle feel to it that we absolute loved. The wallpaper, the candelabras, the nice silver Chiavari chairs all made the venue look very elegant without it feeling overcrowded.

We've met with Deborah several times since the 21st of May since we got in touch with the venue and have exchanged hundreds of e-mails and phone calls in between. With exactly 4 months to go to our wedding, needless to say I was sending chaotic e-mails left, right and centre and all of them have most gracefully been replied to by Deborah, who always managed to make sense out my chaos.

What I really loved about the service provided is that I never felt overwhelmed by millions of questions about how we want things to be. Instead, during our meetings, Deborah tried to get a feel of what we like and what we don't, made suggestions, recommended suppliers where needed, and then filled in the gaps herself. You really can't put a price on this. Due to personal circumstances, we had really limited amount of time to allocate to wedding planning and since we didn't have a wedding planer per se, a lot of it was looked after by the hotel. From the preparation of the hall for the civil ceremony (humanist ceremony which was an absolute tear jerker ? highly recommend to those who are not big into religious ceremonies or what a bit more than a simple ceremony at the registrar's office) to the VERY quick turnaround of the same hall for the party, everything was looked after by the hotel. I literally dropped a box filled of props and different items I wanted displayed for the wedding at 4AM on the morning of the wedding with no advice as to what goes where and when I walked into the hall before the guests were called to dinner, my jaw dropped. Absolutely everything was beautifully displayed and the hall looked like a million bucks. Deborah liaised with all the suppliers and ensured everything is set-up on time so that took so much pressure off us.

The food was wonderful, and despite what we thought in the beginning more than enough. The service throughout the dinner was flawless and just complimented the look and feel of the hotel, with all the staff looking very neat and floating around the hall to make sure guests are tended to without getting in the way.

Ash was our contact for the evening / night and he was an absolute sweetheart. From stepping in when we realised we had not had time to put together a speech, to ensuring everything goes well with the food, the first dance, the cake cutting, etc., we are so very grateful to have had them with us on the night. Both Deborah and Ash were very calm and organised, and that helped us immensely in stressful moments as we felt that they have everything under control.

The Bridal suite for the night was hands down the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in. With a balcony looking over the area, it displayed a breathtaking view both day and night and it the absolute best location for wedding preparations photos. The room was spacious, very well equipped with anything you might need and the bed was just a fluffy cloud you could literally sink in and never want to leave. The look and feel of the room was vintage, as you?d expect in such a hotel, but with all the modern amenities you?d need. Champagne breakfast the morning after was just the perfect way to end such an amazing experience.

I really could go on and on about the great experience we've had with the hotel, about Deborah and Ash and all the staff in the background that made all this possible, but I suppose it's enough to just stay there for the night and / or go in for an afternoon tea to get a flavour of what they have to offer.

We are already looking into booking our next stay here and will always return here for a little reminder of our fairytale wedding?

Everyone at the clontarf castle was Amazing!!! Would highly reccommend!! Our wedding day was PERFECT.

We got married here in May 2019 and it was absolutely amazing and completely exceeded our expectations. A big thanks to Deborah and Rachael for the most amazing experience. Our guests are still mentioning the food and service along with the elegance of this venue. Nothing was too much trouble and each request was greeted with a smile. The schedule was ran perfectly and our compliments to everyone involved.

Absolutely amazing venue and staff went above and beyond. It was a small wedding of 20 yet we could have had 200 guests for the treatment we received.Our wedding co ordinators Rachel and Deborah were so easy to work with. The bride and groom were coming from Australia and so all of the arrangements were made before they arrived. We had a lot of surprises in place for them and the girls were brilliant in helping us to put it all in place. Couldnt reccomend them highly enough.

From our very first visit Rachael and team were so nice and friendly. We were presented with something to eat and drink as we came straight from work for majority of the meetings which was a lovely touch. Anything we asked for was no problem at all. The day went so well and it was thanks to the wonderful staff. Clontarf Castle now holds a very special place in our hearts and we will definitely be regular guests!

We had some initial issues with Clontarf Castle which we tried to address far in advance of the wedding - it came to a head two weeks before the wedding & from that moment onwards they were amazing. The day itself was incredible and the staff and management of Clontarf could not do enough for us, I would almost say the ease and professionalism of the last two weeks would make up for the previous 12 months. However I think it is important to rate the service as a whole and 2 weeks out of 52 is a small percentage. That is why I rated the professionalism low and why I wouldn't not recommend.

Clontarf Castle is such a beautiful castle with impressive history, the staff are attentitive and will go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly on your big day.
On my day, moments before I walked in my Grooms Nan had a mild heart attack - under this circumstance the castle were absolutely fantastic ensuring the Groom and I were both ok and kept separate to avoid any more ?bad luck!? Rachael Clarke has been an absolute angel throughout my 1000 questions in the run up to the wedding to standing with me every step of the way on the day itself.
The food was incredible! Every member of staff delivered exceptional service during our whole stay.
I would recommend this beautiful venue to any bride to be who wishes to marry in the Emerald Isle!

We were delighted to celebrate our wedding at Clontarf Castle on the 08.08.18. From the moment we met our wedding coordinater Rachael Clarke back in April we know our wedding day was in good hands. I cannot say enough about Clontarf Castle, the professional service that we received was second to none. On such a very special day we knew that Clontarf Castle would look after everything and they did. The whole ambience of the castle added to the whole day. Thanks for all you did for us on our day.

From the very first moment we arrived to view clontarf castle, we were made to feel welcome, at home and truly special. We were seated in a private seating area and provided with a small token goody bag and served a complimentary cheese board with tea / coffee . No other 4 or 5 star venue we went to view provided such a welcome reception.
We had particular dietary requirements (halal), and everything we requested was fully facilitated. Other venues that we had viewed had not been as facilitating. This cemented Clontarf Castle as the wedding venue for us!
The wedding co-ordinater Rachael Clarke was extremely professional and accommodating and I would highly recommend her for anyone planning their special day. Anything that I requested was accommodated and any problems I had, Rachael had ideas to help me solve.
On our wedding day, Rachael and the team at Clontarf Castle added many small touches and surprises to make the day so special. Rachael took a picture of my husband and myself when we first emerged in our wedding attire and printed it on each of the dinner menus which was such a lovely surprise! She was on hand to fix the back of my dress when we first greeted the guests at the hotel (I had not requested her to do so, but it was another way she had shown her attention to detail and care). When we arrived at the wedding suite at the end of the night, there was a surprise keepsake that the hotel prepared that was very thoughtful and sweet! A very big thank you to Rachael and the team at Clontarf for a very special day.

The day and the reception were great, but there were a few parts that could have been better. Our cake was lost due to miscommunication. There was a solution for this mishap, but it would have been nice to have the cake on our wedding day. Also, the room of the ceremony itself was very hot. Granted, it was in the middle of the heat wave, but nothing was done to alleviate the temperature in the room.
The positives- the food is amazing. The venue is gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

It was an absolute fairy-tale come true. Everything went absolutely perfect. Couldn't be happier with the service received by the staff.

Absolutely perfect, the wedding team were a amazing everything went a without a hitch couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. All our queries were answered promptly, the food was some of the best I've had would love to do it all over again!

We had our wedding in Clontarf Castle few weeks ago. What a fabulous venue and amazing staff. Rachael and Marianne couldn't do enough for us both are lovely ladies. The food was superb. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding. We loved it.

We had the most amazing wedding day at Clontarf Castle. We worked with Rachel the wedding coordinator throughout the planning process and she was so professional and so kind. We also talked to many of the staff in the hotel to get a feel for the place and how our alternative wedding would work. So we were really confident that the team at Clontarf would have it all in hand. Rachael had so much patience with us and worked through every minute detail for us. On the day the team were superb. The venue was just stunning and so classy. The food was fantastic in the Farhenheit Restaurant and our party in the Indigo Lounge worked out so well. The evening food was also delicious and so plentiful. Everyone commented on what a fantastic venue it was and so many people had never been to the castle before and couldn't believe how gorgeous the interior was. As we had a small wedding we have the financial flexibility to choose the Majestic dining package. This worked out really well for us as we didn't have to worry about adding on extra costs. The honeymoon suite was so fab we were sad to leave it the next day. I can't wait to go back and enjoy a relaxing stay there again. I would highly recommend it. I have also had my Christmas party in the great hall and again the food and the service was excellent for such a large venue. Thanks again Clontarf!

My husband picked Clontarf Castle as a surprise after we got engaged and i was blown away after we spent the day here for our Wedding. We had an intimate wedding of 27 guests in the viking suite. Our wedding planner Rachel was beyond professional and was so friendly and caring, also meeting with us whenever she could to discuss final arrangements. The day itself was perfect and beyond what i expected, all of the satff were helpful and made aure our day went smoothly. Everything about this hotel is amazing, the food, the staff, the rooms, the grounds and the atmosphere. Having our wedding at The Clontarf Castle Hotel was the best decision we could have made. Rachael, our wedding planner, was so helpful in the run up to our big day and had every detail planned and ready to go. We were treated like absolute royalty while we were there and every aspect of the reception was so well prepared and executed by Rachael and her team on the day! We had our dream wedding at Clontarf Castle on the 18th September. We were so impressed since the very first time we visited the castle. Everybody went out of their way to make sure our wedding day was unforgettable. The place is so beautiful,the staff outstanding and the food amazing. Everywhere we go now,we compare to Clontarf Castle. The standards there are so high .
The breakfast is the best we had by a mile.

I give my highest recommendations for Clontarf Castle, it is a perfect spot for holding your wedding. The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and all staff is friendly and helpful. Additionally we received great and professional assistance with planning our wedding from Marianne and Amanda, and everything went smoothly on the day. When we were short on one bedroom for one of our guest, front desk took care of it. All our guests had a good time and enjoyed their stay in Clontarf.

Clontarf Castle gave us the perfect wedding day beyond what could even imagine! There were so many extra special little touches that made our day so special. We had our wedding here in November and had the ceremony in the hotel. Everything was perfect all the staff were amazing they did so much for us, our guests are still telling us how amazing the hotel was everything from the rooms to the staff and the food! We had our reception here on 20/06/09 and it really was perfect. Everyone commented on the food, decor and how polite, professional and friendly all of the staff were. Adele, Jane and their teams really did provide is with the perfect day we were looking for. Only problem is that its all over too quickly, take it in Brides to be....you cant repeat it.
