We got married in clontarf castle on the 14th Jan in a slightly different wedding day style. We had immediate family for our ceremony and a meal after and we invited all our friends and family from 6pm. We offered food and 6, 8 and 10pm and clontarf castle were so supportive of all our requirements. Everything flowed so well! It was an amazing day. Only thing I would say is they don’t allow this type of wedding on a Friday or Saturday and overall cost is not too different to a traditional wedding so I think they need to rethink this! Food was amazing and so was the service! Highly recommend

We had an amazing date at Clontarf Castle. The staff looked after every detail. We used the Viking suite as it was just a small group. I have no complaints, it was brilliant! They even went out of their way to accommodate my Dad who is in a wheelchair and he had a great day. The food was fabulous. I'd love to do it all again!

Clontarf Castle we?re amazing . They said yes to pretty much everything we asked , nothing was a problem. All our vests have commented since how much they enjoyed the day out in Clontarf!

Booked Clontarf back in 2020 and was married in Sept 2022. The wedding day was lovely with all the staff and food being absolutely wonderful. I took off half a star because the original wedding manager here from 2020 was not great. She gave us wrong information and delivered bad news at inappropriate times (after a few drinks during our tasting!). This set our expectations in a way that couldn't truly be accommodated. Luckily the new wedding manager Sinead was able to ensure we still had a lovely wedding and they were able to mostly accommodate what we'd been promised. My one wish is that they would set up power at the back of the big ballroom same as the front so you can use the two sections of the room separately without sacrificing something like entertainment.

Myself and my husband had our wedding day on 30th April 2022, from the moment we booked in the team literally could not have done any more for us .Sinead Moloney the wedding manager at a Clontarf Castle was an amazing help throughout our planning & always so responsive !

Everything went exactly how we imagined and we are very grateful for all the hard work that was put in by Sinead and all the team. Nothing was too much trouble.
On the day of the wedding from the morning right up to the evening Sinead and Ash were on hand and had everything under control for us .

All of our guests were so complimentary of the food and service on both days and are still talking about it now !!

We had a fantastic day for our wedding in Clontarf Castle earlier this year, everything ran very smoothly on the day and was totally stress free. The team were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We had a fairly small wedding, around 50 guests and while Clontarf Castle have a large banquet hall for weddings they were more than willing to accommodate our small wedding too. We had our ceremony and evening dining in the Viking Suite and drinks reception in the Knight's Bar. We went for the majestic package and felt it included things that many other venues were charging extra for such as a choice of main and evening food so it was good value for money. The food was beautiful and they cater for different dietary requirements and allergies if needed. The package included a suite for the bride and groom for the night of the wedding which was fabulous but also we could avail of a discount rate for guests with no obligation to pay for the rooms if not taken. Sinead and the team were great to deal with from start to finish, I couldn't recommend them higher.

The most amazing wedding hotel venue!! We chose Clontarf Castle as it had sentimental reasons too with my folks getting married there 51 years ago. Our original date was May 21 but due to Covid it was moved to 30th Dec and we?re so glad it was moved, it's the most magical place at Xmas. We are so so happy with everything, from the moment we decided on Clontarf Castle we knew we?d chosen the right venue. The staff, food, hotel itself is all just out of this world. If you?re looking for an amazing venue with most amazing staff, give Lindsay in Clontarf Castle a shout!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and it was absolutely amazing. Rooms and service was fab. Staff very attentive especially Melanie our wedding planner. Highly recommend it to any couple.

We were so delighted with the hospitality we received not only on our wedding day but on every visit prior. We booked Clontarf based on the initial impression we received at the wedding showcase and the genuine interest staff had in their job and our wedding. We are delighted to say that this remained the case all the way up to and even now after our wedding. What a fantastic hotel venue & staff. The beauty of the castle tells it's own tale but the staff really make you feel like King & Queen of the Castle.

We recently had the pleasure of getting married in Clontarf Castle. I felt compelled to write this review to convey my absolute gratitude to Clontarf Castle for how they conducted our wedding. We had an unusual small intimate celebration. Despite the small size of our party Clontarf Castle couldn't have been more accommodating, offering us numerous options in terms of rooms and dining. They also met with us many times in advance, advising us on every aspect of the wedding, offering suggestions in terms of suppliers and a celebrant. Our ceremony was carried out in the Tower Suite which is a beautiful intimate room that retains its historical roots. On the day of our wedding they went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations by overseeing all aspects of our ceremony including being our DJ. The icing on the cake was a lovely surprise in terms of they had taken a photo of us directly after the ceremony and printed it off our menus in the Fahrenheit restaurant, such a thoughtful detail in addition to a beautiful gift they gave us that we will cherish forever. The venue itself needs no explanation, authentic, stunning and steeped in history and the food was second to none. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day. Whether you are having a large wedding or a small wedding like ours I would recommend Clontarf Castle to all. Our experience with Clontarf Castle was nothing short of extraordinary, start to finish.



Deborah has been our point of liaison with the Castle and our wedding coordinator, and honestly I believe she secretly is the Castle's Fairy, as she was absolutely magical throughout the process.



We had Clontarf Hotel on our shortlist of wedding venues, and despite it being pricier than our other options, we felt that the location and service level provided was worth the extra cost. Needless to say it was the best decision we made for our wedding.



We had initially planned to have a simple wedding in the Registrar's office with only a couple of witnesses, but this very quickly escalated to it being a full-on medium sized wedding. Time was short and I am sure we couldn't have pulled it without the help of the extraordinary staff at the Castle, under Deborah's careful guidance and supervision. We have opted for the Viking Suite, as it was more appropriate for our wedding size (in around 70pax). Despite it being smaller than the main hall, it has a certain je ne sais quoi about it, a castle feel to it that we absolute loved. The wallpaper, the candelabras, the nice silver Chiavari chairs all made the venue look very elegant without it feeling overcrowded.

We've met with Deborah several times since the 21st of May since we got in touch with the venue and have exchanged hundreds of e-mails and phone calls in between. With exactly 4 months to go to our wedding, needless to say I was sending chaotic e-mails left, right and centre and all of them have most gracefully been replied to by Deborah, who always managed to make sense out my chaos.

What I really loved about the service provided is that I never felt overwhelmed by millions of questions about how we want things to be. Instead, during our meetings, Deborah tried to get a feel of what we like and what we don't, made suggestions, recommended suppliers where needed, and then filled in the gaps herself. You really can't put a price on this. Due to personal circumstances, we had really limited amount of time to allocate to wedding planning and since we didn't have a wedding planer per se, a lot of it was looked after by the hotel. From the preparation of the hall for the civil ceremony (humanist ceremony which was an absolute tear jerker ? highly recommend to those who are not big into religious ceremonies or what a bit more than a simple ceremony at the registrar's office) to the VERY quick turnaround of the same hall for the party, everything was looked after by the hotel. I literally dropped a box filled of props and different items I wanted displayed for the wedding at 4AM on the morning of the wedding with no advice as to what goes where and when I walked into the hall before the guests were called to dinner, my jaw dropped. Absolutely everything was beautifully displayed and the hall looked like a million bucks. Deborah liaised with all the suppliers and ensured everything is set-up on time so that took so much pressure off us.

The food was wonderful, and despite what we thought in the beginning more than enough. The service throughout the dinner was flawless and just complimented the look and feel of the hotel, with all the staff looking very neat and floating around the hall to make sure guests are tended to without getting in the way.

Ash was our contact for the evening / night and he was an absolute sweetheart. From stepping in when we realised we had not had time to put together a speech, to ensuring everything goes well with the food, the first dance, the cake cutting, etc., we are so very grateful to have had them with us on the night. Both Deborah and Ash were very calm and organised, and that helped us immensely in stressful moments as we felt that they have everything under control.

The Bridal suite for the night was hands down the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in. With a balcony looking over the area, it displayed a breathtaking view both day and night and it the absolute best location for wedding preparations photos. The room was spacious, very well equipped with anything you might need and the bed was just a fluffy cloud you could literally sink in and never want to leave. The look and feel of the room was vintage, as you?d expect in such a hotel, but with all the modern amenities you?d need. Champagne breakfast the morning after was just the perfect way to end such an amazing experience.

I really could go on and on about the great experience we've had with the hotel, about Deborah and Ash and all the staff in the background that made all this possible, but I suppose it's enough to just stay there for the night and / or go in for an afternoon tea to get a flavour of what they have to offer.

We are already looking into booking our next stay here and will always return here for a little reminder of our fairytale wedding?

Absolutely amazing venue and staff went above and beyond. It was a small wedding of 20 yet we could have had 200 guests for the treatment we received.Our wedding co ordinators Rachel and Deborah were so easy to work with. The bride and groom were coming from Australia and so all of the arrangements were made before they arrived. We had a lot of surprises in place for them and the girls were brilliant in helping us to put it all in place. Couldnt reccomend them highly enough.

From the start the staff went above and beyond to help in any way they could.

We only had 7 months to plan our wedding with no clue what we were doing but Rachel and Deborah had us covered.

The whole day went so smoothly and they couldn't have done anything more for us.

The food and wine were lovely and with the package we went for there was more then enough.

Only suggestion I would have for any couple, definitely go for the portable bar in the room (we didn't and most guest were outside the room for the evening)

One downfall was the residents bar, guests were told to leave (it was late but we were told that it would be open as long as there were people in it)

The day really was fantastic and the staff were incredible. Would highly recommend.

From our very first visit Rachael and team were so nice and friendly. We were presented with something to eat and drink as we came straight from work for majority of the meetings which was a lovely touch. Anything we asked for was no problem at all. The day went so well and it was thanks to the wonderful staff. Clontarf Castle now holds a very special place in our hearts and we will definitely be regular guests!

All staff were warm and welcoming ! My daughter the bride and son in law were delighted with all the preparation and attention to detail ! Warm comfortable venue!

We had some initial issues with Clontarf Castle which we tried to address far in advance of the wedding - it came to a head two weeks before the wedding & from that moment onwards they were amazing. The day itself was incredible and the staff and management of Clontarf could not do enough for us, I would almost say the ease and professionalism of the last two weeks would make up for the previous 12 months. However I think it is important to rate the service as a whole and 2 weeks out of 52 is a small percentage. That is why I rated the professionalism low and why I wouldn't not recommend.

Staff is very friendly and helpful and the service is great. We had the best experience.

Clontarf Castle is such a beautiful castle with impressive history, the staff are attentitive and will go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly on your big day.
On my day, moments before I walked in my Grooms Nan had a mild heart attack - under this circumstance the castle were absolutely fantastic ensuring the Groom and I were both ok and kept separate to avoid any more ?bad luck!? Rachael Clarke has been an absolute angel throughout my 1000 questions in the run up to the wedding to standing with me every step of the way on the day itself.
The food was incredible! Every member of staff delivered exceptional service during our whole stay.

We were thrilled to bits with the staff at Clontarf Castle. Our wedding day was amazing. The food was exquisite. We didnt need much decorations, the hotel is so beautiful already. We had our ceremony there too and had we only had 70 guests so we didn't go for the function room but had our meal in the restaurant and then down to the Indigo Lounge so there was lots of variety. All our guests had a brilliant day even those who don't normally like weddings, for many it was the best wedding they were ever at and the photos taken in the castle are fab.

Clontarf Castle is a beautiful venue, and we fell in love with it from the moment we entered. Both the inside and the outside are really impressive. The food was delicious and the wedding co-ordinator Rachael was fantastic. Everything was well handled and always dealt with in a professional way. The staff in every area, the bar, reception, and in the hall itself were very attentive. The negatives were very few. We got married in August on a hot day and we found the main function room (The Great Hall) to be extremely hot. The air conditioning wasn't adequate. The only other negative was the food tasting. This takes place on a weekday which was very disappointing. Other hotels offer a tasting on the weekend where you can relax and enjoy some wine if wanted. As my husband had work that day, and work the next day, we didn't feel like it was as enjoyable as it could have been. Other hotels offer a night's stay on the day of your tasting, and this would have been greatly appreciated. This was the most disappointing thing as we felt it could have been more special for us, and we felt that it wouldn't have caused much hassle or stress to the hotel to organise. In all, we were really glad we chose Clontarf Castle as our wedding venue, and I would recommend it to other newly engaged couples!

My husband+I strongly recommend Clontarf Castle to any couples looking for a wedding venue.
Our experience started off with Ciara showing us around, giving us some history+showing us our options in terms of menus+rooms we could use. We knew after that meeting with Ciara that we wanted our wedding at this place.
We were then introduced to Rachael who was our wedding co-ordinator. Rachel was absolutely amazing to deal with, nothing was ever any trouble for her+she took so much stress out of it with her organisation skills+giving us advise that we can genuinly say that organising our wedding was so stress free+so enjoyable.
Sarah was also incredible to deal with+we found her advise+experience was so valuable too.
We cant recomnend this venue enough+we had a thoroughly amazing day. Thanks to all the 3 girls for your professionalisn, help+support+thanks for decorating our room so beautifully as well :)

We had a fantastic wedding day at Clontarf Castle, our food and service was excellent, the room was perfect although a little hot. Rachel was with us every step of the way advising and supporting us, and although she couldn't be there on our special day she left us in very capable hand.

The wedding planner Rachel Clarke and her team are magnificent! All angles were covered. Rachel's pre-wedding checklist is comprehensive so even if you've forgotten something, she hasn't! The team are very flexible in accommodating any other requests outside the norm and on the day itself they discretely keep everyone honest from arrival through to the end of the night.

A great event is 90% planning, 10% execution and with Clontarf Castle it's flawless.

Our wedding was in the Great Hall having 174 guests, with the bar in the room. The hall size was just perfect, the food was fabulous and served hot to every guest. The service team were excellent and were very engaging with the guests and the venue itself is so full of character it's easy to forgot you're only a stone throw away from the city centre.

It really was our perfect day.

The wedding was an intimate gathering of twenty of us, Rachael the Wedding Coordinator was onsite the entire time from the beginning of planning to the actual wedding day. We were so impressed and felt very secure in all our dealing with Clontarf Castle. On the actual day everything ran like clockwork and all that was left for us and the guests was to enjoy a beautiful ceremony and a delicious meal afterwards. It was truly magical!

Our wedding at the Clontarf Castle Hotel was fantastic from the first meeting with Rachel the Castle wedding organizer to the day its self. Everyone did all they could to help and facilitate us in achieving our dream. Including working with our children's entertainer so that the children amongst our guest were safe and happy. The wedding decorators that we bought in to add to the already fantastic decore of Clontarf Castle. The evening entertainers we had were all contacted and their needs met. Our bedrooms were fantastic catering for the youngest child to the groom's mother who was 92 years old. On the night of the wedding because the penthouse was vacant we were upgraded free of charge. The food at the wedding meal was fantastic and lots of it. This was also true of the evening food and complimentary sandwiches and drinks were sent up to the grooms room whilst he and the best man and groomsmen were changing for the church. Everything about the whole Clontarf Castle experience was wonderful. Even down on the day to being looked after by Rachel the Wedding organizer, the General Manager, the banqueting suit Manager, the executive chef, and the resident's bar manager.

We had our wedding here recently and really cannot recommend the staff and venue enough.
Rachael the wedding coordinator was very efficient and organised and a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much bother.
We had our meal in the Fabreinheit restaurant, which had a lovely atmosphere and then downstairs for drinks and dancing. The food was restaurant standard, really delicious.
Rachael and her team did an excellent job putting up any extra lights, decorations and flowers I had dropped down.
The whole day was fantastic, we had no worries just a lot of fun!

What can I say..for my husband Jared and I our 1st choice was Laura and crew. We had taken so long to organise our special day as Jared is on the road alot and Laura was always just a call away in the lead up to the wedding. She arrived early at the venue and was so friendly to all our guests. The floor was full all night long and she covered every genre of music including the many requests. A lady through and through who has an esquisite voice. I highly recommend her for any occasion. Thanks Laura. X

Outstanding staff at all levels, special thank you to Rachel - our wedding planner and all waiting staff on the night, everyone was very friendly and responsive.

Not the cheapest but worth every penny.

We had our wedding at Clontarf in the end of August 2016. Our humanist service was in the Viking Suite, the wedding reception was in the Hall, and our cookout the next day was in the Indigo Lounge. We had a wonderful selection of foods for both the wedding and the BBQ. We actually had a hard time deciding because everything was so good, particularly for the BBQ.

I am originally from the States and we were going to have a number of family and friends travelling to Ireland for the first time for the wedding. We wanted something central that was also beautiful and impressive. Clontarf Castle was the perfect choice. Everyone was impressed by the grounds, the hotel service, and the wedding presentation. A number of my family and friends stayed at the hotel in the lead up to the wedding. Everyone kept telling us how much fun they had. Since many of our guests were also close by in Dublin, we stayed late in the residents bar and the hotel was great about letting us enjoy some late night drinks and chat.

The wedding suite was also exceptional. The room has a spectacular view of the city and is simply stunning for getting ready. It makes you feel like it is a truly special day. The staff provided us with sandwiches and prosecco for bridal party preparations and another bottle of prosecco for when we returned after the wedding. The hotel also gave us a beautiful photo of the hotel and us to take with us as a gift. It was above and beyond.

For me, however, it was even before the wedding started that I decided we made the perfect choice. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but I cannot say enough how Rachael helped make it seem easy. Anything we wanted to do, she was so supportive. Just before the ceremony there was a bit of confusion between myself and the humanist celebrant about the family's entrance to the ceremony. Rachael noticed that I was getting a little nervous as it was all happening right before I was to walk down the aisle. Right away she stopped everything and let me know it was whatever I wanted to do. In that very moment I could have hugged her. She handled it perfectly and I did not even have to think twice about it.

Our wedding was simply perfect and the staff at Clontarf helped make that possible. We are eternally grateful and would highly recommend it to any couple. We can't wait to go back and celebrate our one year anniversary there as well.

The staff were excellent really helped us in the lead up to the day and on the day itself. They were always quick to respond to out calls and emails and worked tirelessly to make our big day magical. We have nothing but praise for clontarf castle and would recommend it as a venue to any engaged couple out there.

We recently had our wedding in Clontarf Castle ( August 2017) and I can't rate the Castle and in particularly their wedding co-ordinator, Rachael Clarke highly enough. We began dealing with Clontarf Castle last year and the whole process was seamless. Our wedding was a civil ceremony, followed by a barbecue for 120 adults and 10 children - the crowd was from all over the world - myself a local from Dublin and my husband from Brisbane, Australia so the guests were Irish, Australian, English, Canadian and a few more countries thrown in!

The feedback from all our guests was ' great venue, amazing food, the staff are so nice and brilliant band". We couldn't recommend the Castle as a wedding venue and accommodation more. Nothing was too much trouble for Rachael and the rest of the staff. They are such a genuine group of people and I really felt like they went the extra mile for us in all our requests....which I won't lie we had quite a few....

Rachael was so helpful, patient and on the ball with everything. Seeing everything come together on the day was actually quite emotional and I felt like Rachael had really got me and become part of the family. Soppy I know, but given the intimacy of the celebrations she was really a part of it and truthfully we can't thank Rachael and the staff enough. The staff contributed so much on the day and we felt they cared about us as a couple and our families and guest.

The grounds themselves are gorgeous, rooms very comfortable and food throughout wonderful. There is also so much history and culture there, and it's a super bonus for anyone staying. We actually stayed for a number of days at Clontarf Castle and were quite sad leaving! I can't recommend Clontarf Castle highly enough and look forward to my next visit.

We had the most amazing wedding at Clontarf Castle. It truly was the best 3 days of our lives. From the standards of hospitality to the amazing food, everything was brilliant. Rache,l our wedding planner was amazing throughout as was Mark who was also looking after us on the day. We got married at the Clontarf Castle Hotel on July/25/17 and were blown away by the service and professionalism we received on the day prior and the day of. From start to finish our day was wonderful. The staff could not do enough for us.Hannah Foreman our co-ordinator was a pleasure to deal with from answering countless emails to attending all our needs on the day. Our ceremony room was decorated beautifully as was our reception. Our meal was delicious and served promptly. All of our guests thought the hotel was a fabulous venue and that the staff from the reception to the bar were a delight to deal with. We as a couple can not recommend this hotel for a wedding venue enough. Getting married was the best day of our lives and we believe that it would not have been as magical if we had got married anywhere else.

From the second we met Rachel Clarke, we knew we were in safe hands. Absolutely nothing was a problem for her, she was friendly, calming and lovely to have around in the stressful times! She was so helpful. On the day, the food was incredible, we are still getting comments from guests. The setting is stunning, a mix of modern and medieval. It really was the best day ever, made better only by the treatment we received from everyone involved, and the fabulous service provided.

Clontarf Castle was our top choice for wedding venue and definitely didn't disappoint. From the point we booked our wedding up until the wedding day itself the staff could not have been more helpful and professional. I could not recommend enough. All of our wedding guests commented on how beautiful the hotel was.

I got married in Clontarf Castle on the 5th of August if this year. Like every girl I wanted the fairytale wedding and that's what I got from Clontarf Castle. Everyone was so amazing to us, they could not have been more accommodating to us. You really get the 5 star treatment and service.
I can't thank Rachael (our wedding co-ordinator) enough, she turned our dream into a reality. She went above and beyond. Every little detail was perfect. The quality of the food the timing was perfect. Everyonr of my guests complimented the food, and the service of the staff.
My mam, dad, sisters and daughter stayed the night before we were treated like VIPs.
Even the morning of the wedding while we where getting ready, we had complimentary sandwich's and champagne for the bridal party brought to the room. Rachael planned absolutely everything, she had everything timed to perfection everything ran smoothly. At the last minute we decided we wanted the bridal party to dance in to the Great Hall, again Racharl orgainedd the music the order of the Bridal party. I got so many compliments about our attention to detail on the wedding and none of that had anything to do with me all Rachael.
If I could do it all over again it would be back in Clontarf Castle

We had our wedding on New Years Eve.
They were very accomadable and went above and beyond. I had about 30 people flying over from Canada all staying at the hotel and they loved it. They even had the bar stay open for what time New Yrs would be back in Toronto. Everyone was so nice and they played the exact music I wanted at the exact time I wanted it. We got married at the venue as well as the reception and the room changed over perfectly. The food was amazing as well as all the staff. I don't think they ever told me no at my requests. Lol

Our wedding day at Clontarf Castle Hotel was a truly special day in every sense of the word, all due to the warmth, professionalism, efficiency and flexibility of the hotel's amazing staff and their most elegant and beautiful castle hotel and grounds. Having our wedding just before Christmas was extra special as the magical, festive atmosphere created by the staff was exceptional and added hugely to the enjoyment of our special day. Guests who travelled from abroad were particularly impressed with Clontarf Castle Hotel as a wedding venue and, like my husband and I, have very fond and special memories of their experience there.

A special word of thanks goes to our wedding co-ordinator, Marianne Fanning, who I would highly recommend to any future bride. Marianne's warmth and rapport made it very easy to deal with her. She was extremely helpful, organised and flexible, most accommodating and displayed very good attention to detail. She was there when we needed her and promptly responded to any queries we had. The warmth extended by Marianne, and the rest of the staff, to my husband and I was so much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day at Clontarf Castle Hotel and would highly recommend it as an ideal wedding venue.

My husband and I got married at Clontarf Castle on November 12th, 2016, so we have just celebrated our one year anniversary which is pretty amazing! I am originally from Ireland but I have been living in Canada for over a decade and so my husband and I were not planning the wedding in 8 months but we were also doing it from Canada. From the beginning of the planning process the staff and wedding planners at Clontarf Castle were amazing, even with the time difference and the many emails that I sent, they always responded in a professional and timely manner. Honestly getting married in a castle you already feel like a princess but the amount of work and effort that all the staff members put into making our day a fairytale is beyond words. If I could do it all again I would not change a thing! From the food and being responsive to dietary issues, to the room and then the wedding suite it was just fabulous! Thank you Clontarf Castle for all that you did for my husband and I and for truly making it a day that we will never forget!

Beautiful location with brilliant staff

Perfect day with amazing staff who tended to our every need before we even knew what we needed. Extremely professional and efficient and the day ran like clockwork. Everyone commented on the excellent staff and their ability to look after the entire crowd and all of their wishes. Couldnt have asked for more. Superb.

We got married on the 15th June 2016. We had a civil ceremony in Clontarf Castle with just 24 guests. We wanted to keep things simple and non stressful, Amanda was great. Anything we suggested to her was not a problem. We cannot compliment the staff enough. Everything was perfect. We had an amazing room to stay in that night and the little touches were unexpected and very much appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend Clontarf Castle for your special day. .

We got married on March 3rd of this year...and to say we we were bowled over by Clontarf castle would be an understatement. Right from the get-go, the attention to detail we received was fantastic. Our wedding coordinator Amanda was brilliant, and with us throughout the planning,...by the end I think she knew every like & dislike we had, from food to colour schemes to music...& she used it all to put a fantastic day together for us. She wasn't working alone though, as each staff member we met could not have done more to help our big day go off smoothly and without a glitch...(if there were any glitches we knew nothing of any of them!). From the hotel manager David joining us at our menu tasting to see how we were getting on, to the bar manager popping by to assist with wine choices, from Leanne in reservations to helping sort all the rooms, to the chef who cooked our menu tasting sitting down with us after to run through our choices...it was all the little extras that made it so special & really felt like we tailored the day just as we wanted it.
On the wedding day itself the food was just amazing. You can forget 'standard hotel wedding food' , it was contemporary, fresh & imaginative and everyone thought so. We really wanted to actually eat & enjoy our wedding meal and we definitely did! Plates were scraped clean!
I cannot think of nicer place to have had our wedding, and my only regret is that it's over....It's the little touches that make it special and Clontarf castle has so many of those...when we arrived on the wedding day Amanda & the function manager Barak took a photo of us getting out of the wedding car....and 2 hours later at our meal that photo appeared in our menus on the tables ! A gorgeous touch & complete surprise to us.

We had our wedding in Clontarf Castle on New Years Eve 2015. Both myself and my "husband!" were absolutely overwhelmed by the staff. They work as a well oiled machine, with amazing attention to detail and nothing was too much. We both agreed that their professionalism and the way in which they personalised it was second to none. The wedding of our darling daughter was wonderfully enhanced by the detailed and meticulous short and long term planning by the key staff in Clontarf Castle. There were all kinds of small things attended to that made it a superb occasion. All of the staff were excellent. The food was utterly sensational. The setting and the bedrooms were also second to none. We had many international guests, mostly English and Welsh, who went home singing the Castle's praises. The Irish guests enthusiastically concurred. All of the above praise is entirely justified! We were utterly satisfied customers.

From start to finish, the staff at Clontarf Castle were extremely professional and organized throughout. We organized our wedding from overseas and the staff worked around our schedules to ensure that everything was covered. We had our wedding in Clontarf Castle in April of 2015 and we cannot recommend this hotel enough. (for either booking your wedding or just staying a night). The staff are second to none when it comes friendliness and professionalism.

We would like to say a massive thank you to Marianne, Laura, Barath and their team, who made the organising of our wedding a simple and stress free process from the very start. Nothing was too much trouble both in the run up to (and on the day of) our wedding. The food was excellent and our guests are still complimenting our choice of wedding venue.

We had our reception here on 02/08/08 and we could not fault the place.The service was flawless throughout,the hotel looked amazing,the presentation and taste of the food could not be faulted.Almost every single guest commented on how fabulous the place was and were all very impressed.Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
