When we first met Brian at his restaurant we didn't bother to look at the reviews because we already could feel by his attitude that all our requirements would be catered for. We felt that he approached all the little details with as much importance as the major ones and all our requests to him were no problem.
He made us feel, although our wedding was a small one, that our wedding was as important to him as if we would have a very large one. We left that meeting full of confidence and never had to worry about it. Well we have to say that all our expectations were surpassed by him and his staff. On the day every one of our guests were extremely surprised at the very high standard of the food, the general ambience of the place, which was extremely attentive of service ,hygiene, and comfort. The choice of courses on his menus were very attractive and not even one of our guests afterwards had one bad comment to make. As is said " The proof of the pudding is in the eating ".......
Let us not forget the very helpful and accommodating J.P who seemed to be at everybodys beck and call to play their choice of songs on the piano . Many thanks to you Brian and your staff ......score ....10 out of 10.

We were married in September 2012 and had our reception at Jack's Coastguard Restaurant in Cromane, Co. Kerry. We wanted to have our wedding reception at a unique venue that would encapsulate the best that Kerry has to offer in terms of scenic beauty and top quality dining. With Jack's we found a venue that not only fulfilled these hopes but went way beyond and absolutely exceeded them.
From the moment of our first contact with Jack's we were at ease. The staff and management at Jack's were thoroughly professional and obliging as well as informal and practical. Brian and Pauline instantly gave the impression that they knew exactly what they were doing and that they would deliver on what we wanted for the day. In short, we trusted them and we were thoroughly glad that we did.
On the day of our wedding Jack's was perfect! We were lucky with the weather and with the backdrop of a magnificent ocean sunset lighting the tremendous views, our guests were instantly impressed and put at ease. Our visitors from all around Ireland and abroad were delighted with the views and this unique venue. The food, it has to be said, is at the finest standard of fine dining. Jack's menu is second to none and our guests continuously commented (and are still commenting) on that fact. Jack's provided JP (excellent!) to play the piano before and during the meal and they also recommended the band that we hired for the night. The piano was perfect and the band (Jigabite) was great fun and kept the place swinging until the early hours.
Jack's is truly a unique and intimate venue. Brian, Pauline and staff represent the highest standards of professionalism while still managing to be very personable and not excessively formal. We were aiming for a relaxed atmosphere on our big day and they really helped to keep it this way.
To say that we would recommend Jack's is perhaps not a strong enough statement. We would actively encourage people to choose Jack's for their wedding in Kerry. We will remain eternally grateful to all at Jack's for a perfect day that we will always treasure. We wouldn't have done a single thing differently.

I just wanted to say an enormous Thank You for making Melanie & Ross' wedding day so fantastic. As soon as I knew you were able to do it, I heaved a huge sigh of relief. I knew that there would be problems but you would always find solutions.
Nothing was ever too much trouble. You were always happy to accommodate us, no matter how unusual the request. Whether it be fish pie, or champagne fountains, fire pits or flyaway lanterns - whatever - no problem!. The food was superb (as mentioned by the guests) and the service was impeccable & all with a smile at every turn. You all worked so hard but never seemed to mind. David & I, although the hosts, were nevertheless able to totally relax and enjoy ourselves, knowing that our guests were all being well looked after and having a wonderful time.
We cannot Thank You enough. If I could, I'd have another wedding with you tomorrow! - promise I won't! We'll leave you to a well deserved rest. All our best wishes to you all

We recently had our wedding at Jack's Coastguard Restaurant, Cromane. An absolutely stunning location overlooking the beach, Jacks is perfect on every level.
The food is amazing, due to their wonderful Chef Jonathan. I was dealing with both Brian and Pauline (Jack's wedding co-ordinator) and both were brilliant, so helpful and professional with all their time and advice no matter how busy they were at the time I called, they would still sit down with you, offer you a coffee as if they had all the time in the world! The staff there are all just lovely and the service on the day couldn't be faulted.
Their wonderful friendly pianist John P entertained us while we were milling about before dinner and also during dinner. Pauline went above and beyond helping/advising me even down to facilitating me one day when I called to Jacks with my fantastic florist Ann from All About Flowers, Killorglin to see where we could put the church flowers afterwards/dealing with the table arrangements etc.
In short, when dealing with Brian and Pauline, nothing was too much trouble. We had an amazing wedding day from start to finish as did our guests and we thank Brian, Pauline, John P and all the staff from the bottom of our hearts for making our day so special.

When we were looking at venues for our wedding reception we looked at some hotels but they just were not doing it for us, they lacked something. Then we thought of Jack's. Once we sat down with Pauline and Brian and reviewed the wedding packages and all that Jack's had to offer (amazing food, an intimate setting and surrounded by beautiful scenery) we got very excited and quickly decided to book our wedding reception at Jack's.
Brian and Pauline helped us with planning our wedding, from choosing our delicious menu and wines, recommending wedding cars, helping to select accommodation to decorating the room, everything was thought of and without their experience and help we would have been lost. Our wedding day was quite simply the best day of our lives. We were so delighted to bring all our guests to Jack's and to say they were impressed is an understatement. Our 100 guests had a drinks reception in the front bar which created a lovely and intimate atmosphere.
When our guests entered the restaurant area for the remainder of the evening they were taken aback by the amazing view of the surrounding sea and mountains. JP played the piano right through the meal which was just beautiful and many people commented on what a lovely atmosphere it created. Our meal was amazing, so many of our guests mentioned how it was the best food they ever had at a wedding; they couldn't believe that they were asked how they would like their steak to be cooked!. The service from Brian and all the staff at Jack's throughout the entire day was impeccable and so attentive. We thank everyone at Jack's for giving us such a wonderful day & we are looking forward to spending our anniversary at our favourite restaurant for many years to come.

couples do - we went through the motions and looked at possible venues to hold our reception.
Nevertheless, being a local Cromane girl, marrying a Frenchman, I always knew that we would never
find a venue like Jack's. Jack's is special and with guests travelling from both home and abroad, we
wanted that certain ' je ne sais quoi'. We knew that through Jack's we would give our guests
something truly unique and unforgettable.
Planning a wedding can be stressful but to be honest I took a backseat and let the experts, Brian and
Pauline, look after every aspect of our day. Our requests were never an issue. Brian took care of
everything from the French onion soup to the cheese boards to the French liqueur that was to be
added to the sorbet. He even had to contend with my family who wanted to set up televisions both in
the restaurant and marquee. I am so grateful that he was able to accommodate them as their
'surprise' was such a special part of our day. Pauline was wedding co-ordinator extraordinaire. She
decorated both restaurant and marquee, managing to think of doing the little things that I would
never have even dreamt of considering. Brian and Pauline worked tirelessly both on the day itself and
in the lead-up to our Big Day.
On the day itself, we didn't have to travel far-from Cromane Church to Cromane beach for the photos
and straight to Jack's where we had that very important time for meeting our guests in the garden.
We were able to relax, sip champagne and enjoy the fabulous selection of canapes in the glorious
sunshine as J.P. serenaded us all.
Local guests had a great sense of what was to come but it was the reaction of friends and family, who
had not yet experienced what Jack's had to offer, that proved to us that we had been perfectly right
in choosing Jack's to host our reception. Comments that stand out for me would be ' undiscovered
gem', 'an exclusive venue', 'spectacular location', 'Michelin- star quality food', 'precision detailing', '
faultless service' and my personal favourite ' Best Wedding Ever'!
We enjoyed every moment of our Wedding Day and as the sun was rising the following morning, we
didn't have to walk home, (as planned), as Brian had organised for us to stay in one of their houses
next door. It was the perfect end to the perfect day. Thank you so much Brian, Pauline ,J.P., Jonathan
and all the staff in Jack's for making the day such a wonderful success.
