To our dear Liss Ard family,
Sorry for the delay but we wanted to take some time to sit down together and write a review that truly reflected how we feel .
?Where do we start??? We had our wedding on the 21st of June last. From the first time we met Aidan and the team, we knew that we had made the right decision. Your kindness, your attention to detail, your genuine concern for making our day so special just to mention a few things. Your were and are, like family to us. Mags you were super organised, you were always at the end of the phone if we ever needed to talk to you about something. You were so lovely to speak to and you always made us smile. Aidan for being you Aidan, you always made us laugh and relax. Nothing was ever too much trouble for you and you made planning our wedding very enjoyable and very entertaining. You have a great team of people working with you and you couldn't have made our day any more special. David you made so many people feel so welcome and special. You delighted and captivated everyone with your stories, you went above and beyond in so many ways and we are supremely grateful to you. Danny everybody is still raving about the food that we had, a massive thank you to you and your team for all your hard work. To Anna for flooding us with so many compliments and your lovely story about your Mums wedding dress. To all the waiting staff, to the cleaning and grounds staff, you were outstanding on both days. Everything went so smoothly and this was certainly down to all of your efforts.
Which brings us to the sad bit?.
We left Liss Ard on the 23rd of June. Even though it was bucketing down outside, we did not want to leave this sublime place. A piece of our hearts will always be there with the amazing team of people and the amazing natural estate that make Liss Ard so special. If you are considering Liss Ard for your wedding, it will be one of the best decisions that you will ever make. Would do it all over again in a heart beat. Love Elayne and Denise xx

Our wedding at Liss Ard Estate was a dream from the moment we first visited to enquire to our actual wedding day. Mags & Aidan and all the team pulled out all the stops to allow the day to be how we wanted it. No request or idea was too big. The food was amazing and we still have people comment about it! The location is stunning and we had 100% privacy with just us & our guests there on the day. The house is beautiful and the gardens and sky garden are just amazing. We got amazing photos throughout. We really fell in love with Liss Ard that day and we can't thank the lovely Mags & Aidan enough. We wish we could go and do it all again but we wouldn't change a thing! I would highly recommend Liss Ard

A beautiful gem in the heart of West Cork with an amazing property and stunning views. The staff are friendly and willing to help make the day a success. The food and service was excellent and we had a fantastic weekend!

It's not easy to put into words just how special our wedding experience at Liss Ard was, but we?ll try!

Mags & Aidan were our guides from day one - professional, diligent, thoughtful, and always on the end of the phone or an email with help and advice. They gave us practical tips on how to manage guests, timings, food & drinks, all of which helped towards the running of an amazingly smooth day.

We started the night before with a meal for our extended bridal party in the gallery room, which really helped us settle in. On the day itself, Mags, Aidan, Timo, David, and their team made us feel calm, relaxed, and completely at home. The service was second to none, with every member of staff being reliable, welcoming, and attentive. They all went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best day, and we really did.

Head Chef Danny Barker is a serious talent and we consider ourselves very lucky to have had him overseeing our wedding menu. The food was simply out of this world!

The setting is idyllic with rolling hills, ancient woodland, expansive lake and spectacular Sky Garden - perfect for guests to enjoy at their leisure and ideal for photos. We opted for a mobile sauna by the lake for Day 2 and it was brilliant - a sauna and a swim had us all ready for another round of celebrations, starting with a BBQ back at the house!

We really had the most incredible wedding and we can't thank the whole team at Liss Ard enough. For any couple looking for a venue with unparalleled style and character, an exclusive, personal touch, and the kind of welcome that can only be found in West Cork, look no further. Liss Ard is the one for you.

Our wedding at Less Ard was perfect in every way. The venue is breathtaking and the 25 room accommodations are gorgeous with sumptuous linens and bedding. Chef Danny and his team prepared a memorable meal with fabulous options from the hake to fillet with locally grown vegetables and the best desserts. We had a BBQ the night before out wedding which was also beautifully prepared and delicious. Everyone at Less Ard made the wedding days proceed without a hitch. Mags handled all the bookings and room requirements (we needed a lot of rollaway beds for small children) and Aidan was incomparable in helping with everything from a child who fell and was bruised to particular requests from our guests. My only sadness was that this perfect time in our lives is over, but we will have a video to relive our magical time at Less Ard.

Liss Ard Estate is a truly magical place to get married in. The remarkable setting and contemporary house made this our perfect venue. The Liss Ard team are outstanding!!!!! Any query no matter how strange was dealt with. They were in incredibly friendly, professional and helpful throughout our wedding planning and on the day! The bar stayed open until 5:30am to accommodate the customary singing and chats, thank you Timo (the owner) for managing the bar. Everyone couldn't compliment the good enough , it was delicious. Finally thank you so much Aidan, Mags and Danny you made our day for special. The plan is to stay there for our year anniversary and relive it all again but I am sure we will be back before then. Thanks again!

The amazing property and setting is why we choose this venue, little did we know the team and staff would be the real gem of this estate. Mags, Aiden & Timo made all of our wishes come through and ensured we had a magical wedding day- even in the aftermath of hurricane Ophelia! Amazing venue, amazing team, amazing Wedding day. Wouldn't change a thing.

Liss Ard Estate is just perfect. We had the most magical wedding there.
The house and grounds are stunning, and the food and service is top notch.
The Sky Garden is such a special place, and the rest of the grounds are so beautiful, a really magical place just bursting with life and beauty, but also so tranquil. We arrived the night before our wedding, with our families and wedding party, and instantly relaxed. If you want an exclusive, all in one venue, for just your guests, with stunning surroundings and fantastic service and food, definitely check out Liss Ard.
The staff were fantastic throughout, especially Mags the wedding planner who was always available in the run up to the day, and was so lovely and warm, but also just thinks of everything to make the day run smoothly; she's extremely good at her job, you will be in great hands with her. The GM Aidan is also great, and worked some long hours to make sure our wedding party had the best time. He also arranged for us to have a tree planting ceremony the day after our wedding, which was something we really wanted to do, to leave a lasting memory of our wedding day. He also arranged for some a/v equipment we left behind to make it back up to Cork for collection by us there the week after the wedding, which was just going above and beyond.
The food at Liss Ard is just stunning, and Chef Danny easily catered for our vegan and veggie guests (of whom there were quite a few) as well as other dietary requirements. All the guests raved about the food, because it's exquisite.
The American side of our group just loved everything about Liss Ard; if you?re looking for a venue to wow all your guests, go and visit Liss Ard, we would highly recommend it as a venue.

Only one question.......why havent you booked your wedding here yet?? It is fab and we were treated like royalty

We were fortunate enough to have our Wedding at Liss Ard over the June Bank Holiday weekend 2017. We visited several wedding venues before choosing Liss Ard. Liss Ard was the first venue we looked at, Adele gave us an amazing tour and every venue we looked at afterwards paled in comparison! We absolutely loved the exclusivity of the stunning estate and gardens, the gates were closed from Friday to Monday and our closest family and friends were able to enjoy the wonderful estate including stunning gardens and walks, water activities on the lake and the relaxing main house, mews and the Lake lodge.

The service we were provided by the team at Liss Ard over the weekend was befitting of the setting ? magnificent! Director Timo and manager Aidan were so helpful over the weekend, thank you to all your team for being so professional yet friendly and always having a smile on their face.
Rooms were to the highest standard and each room unique , the Lake Lodge is stunning with magnificent views and the rooms in the main house/mews are also fab. The housekeeping team do an outstanding job.

Whilst the team at Liss Ard were fantastic for the weekend, we must pay special thanks to Mags, not only was she amazing throughout the weekend, she was especially outstanding in the weeks leading up to the wedding, making herself available to us 24/7 and even taking the time to think of us and send us emails on a Sunday?whilst on her holiday abroad. We are so grateful that Mags was part of the team at Liss Ard and someone that was so helpful, professional and easy to work with in understanding and ensuring our personal touches and requests were remembered and came to fruition, she was the most amazing hostess that we and our guests continue to rave about.

Liss Ard will forever hold a special place in our hearts. My husband and I got married on the 12th of August 2016 at Liss Ard and the entire experience was simply magical.
From the moment we stepped foot inside the estate we were in love. The grounds are breathtaking and opportunities for wonderful photographs were everywhere. The house itself was exactly what we wanted, a modern country feel with a fabulous flow. The fact that all of this was offered as an exclusive rental felt too good to be true. However Liss Ard just got better and better.
Kate the wedding co-ordinater was on hand from the get go organising every last detail and always finding us a cheaper rate on this and that. We felt like we were being genuinely looked after and no request was too big.
In the lead up to the wedding, Pamela , the head chef became our go to girl. She would e-mail back and forth, ensuring that we were 100% happy with every last detail. The food tasting was such a wonderful day and Pamela went above and beyond with the options for us. Whenever our wedding is discussed the food is one of the first things mentioned by our friends and family.
In the final lead up to the wedding and over the wedding weekend Aidan became the star of the show. He literally organised everything! The bar, the heavy lifting, the musician for our bbq on the second day. Aidan was always on hand, making sure that everyone had a drink in theirs and a smile on their face. He kept everything moving and unsurprisingly most of our wedding party had become firm friends with him by the Saturday evening.
Liss Ard has an exclusive feel with a homely attitude. It has become 'our place'. The staff become your friends and everyone leaves feeling relaxed, happy and planning their return trip.

We had a fantastic wedding. Everything went exactly to plan. The food was really fantastic. We couldn't recommend Liss Ard Estate more.

Absolutely fabulous is the only way I can describe Liss Ard. It's a magical and very special place. I would highly recommend.

Liss Ard House and Gardens is a unique venue for any celebration, but for us it became very special indeed.
We had planned an open-air wedding in the garden area. Thankfully the weather was stunning and it turned out to be a magical experience.
Having said that, Liss Ard had a back-up plan in case of rain, which would have enabled us to have the ceremony in the beautiful house itself.
From the very first meeting with Liss Ard staff, we knew we were in 'good hands' thanks to their professional attitude, hospitality and good-natured determination to make our day perfect.
We will never forget the day, many guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and we know that Liss Ard played a big part in that!
Two years on, the wonderful memories still bring smiles to our faces. If we could turn the clock back, we wouldn't change a single thing. Thanks, Liss Ard !
