Listowel Arms Hotel

Where do I even start in raving about the Listowel arms??!!! We just had our wedding here and my god it was the most wonderful, magical, and perfect day!

The wedding team there is AMAZING. We first met them at a wedding fair where they had a beautiful table setting with a blush pink crushed velvet tablecloth and stunning flowers and candles. This stood out so much against the white table settings. We personally did not want white for our wedding and the Listowel Arms were the only venue to understand this.

We researched dozens of venues but Listowel Arms was miles ahead in every way.

It's like being at home with family but the grandeur of a beautiful hotel and the organisation and precision of professionals. I cannot rave enough, or give enough thanks to Patrice, Kate, Asya, Fiona and everyone there.

We were cared for at every turn. Every single member of staff was excited for our day. Everyone went above and beyond their role for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing. They saw our vision and ran with it. They made it perfect and so low stress. I knew that no matter what we needed or wanted that they would execute flawlessly.

The decor, the table settings, the front of the hotel, the ceremony room, the drinks reception, the dinner, dancing, residents bar, dinner the day before, lunch the day after - EVERYTHING was flawlessly perfect. I mean 100% perfect.

I have never seen anything like it. Either had the guests. They were RAVING about it. The cocktails at the drinks reception were unreal, the canapés were talked about the next day, the decor was admired so much. We had to tell people we didn't do this, this was all Listowel. It was so perfect that they thought we must have done it ourselves.

We had talked about a Neon sign and how much we love them and they got the nicest and most perfect sign for our reception. The dinner was exceptional. Cooked to order four course fillet steak dinner!! We had two restaurant owners as guests and both raved about the food. All dietary requirements were respected and the vegetarians were saying how they felt seen and were served a gorgeous meal and not just forgotten as they were in other venues.

I could go on forever about how wonderful this was. Guests are still talking about it, saying it cannot be topped. If you want the best and most dedicated wedding team ever please go to the Listowel Arms. It will not disappoint and it is unreal value!!!

Great venue

Patrice and the staff took so much pressure off us on the lead up to the wedding. We didn't have to waste time thinking of the 'small things? - Patrice spent the time to get to know us and knew what we wanted and went from there! We loved that she brought our vision to life!
We couldn't recommend the Listowel Arms Hotel enough especially when we have to change our date 4 times!

We finally got to have our wedding celebration and it was the best weekend ever!! I wish we could do it all over again. The venue itself is special, the friendly, helpful and smiling staff take it to the next level. We just had the best day, better than we could have imagined and we can't thank everyone at The Listowel Arms enough. Patrice in particular is fantastic and completely takes the pressure off, Maggie, Kevin & Asya to name a few but everyone was so lovely. All of our guests loved the venue, said the day was perfect and our foodie friends and family said the menu and food was beautiful! Book The Listowel Arms whatever your occasion, you won't be disappointed.

M?le bu?ochas to the fantastic staff at the Listowel Arms Hotel and in particular, to Patrice, who all made our Wedding day so special on the 30th December, 2021.
The Listowel Arms Hotel is a fabulous location for any wedding but for a Christmas wedding it is magical.
Our guests from far and near were highly impressed by the old world charm and welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful hotel.
Patrice and all the staff went above and beyond in making our wedding day so memorable. They were always extremely helpful and responsive to our multitude of queries in the lead up to the wedding. Nothing was ever a problem. The management and staff were very understanding, kind and flexible to the various challenges posed by organising a wedding in these changing Covid-19 times.
On the day of the wedding, nothing was left to chance. Patrice, Kevin and all the staff guided us and the bridal party throughout all the different parts of the day. Their attention to detail meant that everything went smoothly and this allowed us to relax and enjoy the best day of our lives.
The hotel surpassed it's own long held reputation for excellent food on the day. The level of service was exceptional and the dedication, friendliness & professionalism of all the staff was second to none.
We will be forever grateful to everyone at the Listowel Arms Hotel for giving us a day that we will always treasure.
Pat & Catherine

A massive thank you to the wonderful Patrice and her entire team at the Listowel Arms Hotel for making our wedding day, a day to remember and one that will be close to our hearts forever.

From the moment we stepped in the door of the Listowel Arms with its 'old worldly' charm and warm, welcoming atmosphere; we knew it was going to be our wedding destination. With a toddler in tow, we didnt have the time (or energy!!) to invest in the smaller details on the lead up to our big day but thankfully Patrice had it all covered. Patrice is bursting with creativity, professionalism and a genuine passion for tailoring the venue to meet the needs of the couple. From the exquisite decor, to the beautiful fresh cut flowers displayed throughout the venue, Patrice left no stone unturned.

Working with a family owned and managed hotel with a clear ?Customer First? ethos was a truly great experience. Our wedding meal was a delight from start to finish, from wonderful canapes on arrival to the fantastic fillet steak cooked to order. Top quality food, cooked to perfection and served with great efficiency. Our guests continue to give us glowing reviews about the food and their entire experience of this exceptional venue.

We would highly recommend the Listowel Arms to any engaged couple. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely gorgeous venue and very comfortable, homely yet luxurious hotel for guests. I've been to Christmas and summer weddings at this hotel and the venue lends itself so perfectly to both. The charm, warmth and glamour of the beautiful Christmas decor is matched by the natural light that floods into the ballroom and conservatory in summer. Exceptional service. We were staying with a little baby and the reservation and reception staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely, recently renovated rooms and en suites. Gorgeous food and again, excellent service at dinner and breakfast. I would 100 per cent recommend this venue.

I was bridesmaids at my sister's wedding in the Listowel Arms in December 2021. I could not speak more highly of whole experience. The ambiance and location of the hotel is just perfect. We were so well looked after, the food was amazing and the day ran so smoothly. Our room was beautiful and the breakfast was delish. We will be back again soon. Thanks to Patrice and all the team.

If you are planning a wedding in Kerry then you don't need to look any further than the Listowel Arms. Their country house hotel, and competent, friendly team, are going to give you the best day and will surpass your expectations.
We recently had our wedding here and we were able to book the entire hotel for our guests, and come Monday, we didn't want to leave. From the very beginning they were a pleasure to deal with and at all times we felt at ease and reassured and never once worried about any aspect of our day. They went above and beyond for us and I was blown away on our wedding day with their decor and how they had brought our vision to life. Their attention to detail and their passion for their work shone through and even two months on from our wedding, we, and our guests, are still talking about it.
They are renowned for their food and they delivered excellence on our wedding day. Our guests were raving about the amazing meal and great service they received. They were very competent and facilitating around food allergies and dietary requirements which was very reassuring for us.
We will always be grateful to Patrice, Asya and their incredible team for all they did for us that weekend and we look forward to making regular trips back to enjoy the hotel in the future.

I was a Bridesmaid at a wedding here in November. The venue has a beautiful vintage feel to it. Everything from the floral arrangements which greeted us outside, to the interior decor and arrangements looked amazing. The drinks reception took place in their beautiful conservatory, which was the perfect location to mingle and meet everyone. The meal itself was second to none. Everyone commented on how lovely it was. The staff were very helpful and I know from speaking to the bride that she found them very accommodating, throughout their wedding planning. I have since recommended this venue to 2 newly engaged couples.

As mother of the bride I cannot compliment the team at the Listowel Arms highly enough for the extraordinary experience we had at the wedding. The hotel decorations, the quality of the food, the food choices offered, service at all levels (even to the point of offering toasted sandwiches in the early hours of the morning to guests who were still up and about -a first for me), the warmth and friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the bedroom, the food and room for the day after meal etc I could go on and on ?? Just an amazing experience. The couple brought their own wines and gins and were treated very fairly as regards corkage and opened and unfinished wines were left out to be enjoyed later in the evening! A wedding at the Listowel Arms is a family affair and the staff at the hotel seem like part of the family. As a hotel with a long tradition and history of welcoming guests for all types of celebrations it was a privilege to become part of that history! During the difficult times of Covid nothing was too much trouble and the couple were very supported by Patrice and her team at all times. What more can I say?

We are forever grateful to Patrice, Asya and all the team at Listowel Arms Hotel for helping us have the most incredible and joyous celebration for our wedding. Their level of commitment, consideration and attention to detail is second-to-none and so many of our guests on the day, and since, have commented on the genuine warmth, style and exceptional quality of the team and the overall experience in Listowel Arms.
Our wedding package was extremely good value and there were no hidden costs compared with other wedding packages we had seen. We also found that the team in Listowel Arms were always welcoming and accommodating of any changes or adaptations to the wedding package that we requested and, again, this did not incur any significant additional cost (including bringing our own wine for the wedding meal).
All of the food served at our wedding was exceptional quality and the portions were very generous and beautifully presented. The attention and care for our guests that required special dietary considerations (e.g. coeliac) was excellent and the food and presentation was as impeccable as the food served on the main menu both at the reception and for the wedding dinner.
The accommodation in Listowel Arms is also excellent and every room is spacious and has its own unique style and d?cor - something which many of our guests commented on. We were able to accommodate all of our guests in the hotel for the weekend of our wedding, which added to the intimate feel of the occasion and the overall atmosphere. Patrice, Asya and the team also ensured that all accommodation in the hotel was available to us for the two days of our wedding celebration at no extra cost to us as the wedding couple, and our guests were able to call and confirm their rooms up to a few weeks before the wedding date.
There were so many small touches that weekend which we hadn't even expected including a special set-up for the gin station that we had included, floral arrangements in the reception and dining areas that matched our wedding flowers, decorative touches for the table plan, a fully decorated separate dining room with bar for our second day of celebrations, to mention just a few.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic we did postpone our wedding once and we found Patrice and her team were extremely supportive and accommodating, giving us plenty of time to make our decision and they were always available to advise us and discuss organising the postponement.
We can't wait to go back to Listowel Arms for a weekend away later this year, and we are recommending it as a wedding venue to all of our engaged friends!

The Listowel Arms was actually the 2nd venue we ended up booking for our wedding as we had to postpone and had issues with the first venue and we are so glad we ended up having to switch. I couldn't imagine having had my wedding any where else now looking back on it! Patrice is an absolutely amazing wedding coordinator and she genuinely couldn't have done any more for us, nothing was an issue! She made sure everything ran seamlessly on the day we didn't need to worry about 1 thing. The food on the day was beautiful as always! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a venue for their wedding!

Everything was beautiful from start to finish. Civil ceremony in a room overlooking the river was fabulous. Had reception in same room. The meal was delicious and the service was fantastic. Great choice of food and there was something for everyone. Would highly recommend Listowel Arms as a wedding venue. Hope to attend a wedding there again in the future.

David and I are both local to Listowel and we were always aware of the excellent standards that The Listowel Arms Hotel could provide on our wedding day, in advance of booking the venue. Sure enough, our expectations in every possible aspect were delivered upon. From the flexibility we were afforded, to the very high standards and staff professionalism, we cannot overstate how happy we were on the day. Patrice and her team deserve immense credit for their ability to achieve such high standards.
The quality of food was immensely satisfying to us and all of our guests, which was very important for us.. Any perspective bride and groom will be in very safe hands at The Listowel Arms Hotel and need not look further afield.

Patrice & staff at The listowel Arms Hotel what can I say only thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what was a magical beautiful day. When we first went to meet with patrice and look around the grounds at the hotel, my husband and I hadn't a clue what style wedding we wanted or what exactly we needed to do. By the time we left we were absolutely in love with the hotel and had a vision of what our reception would look like. Patrice was so so helpful and nothing I mean nothing was too much for her and her staff. We held our wedding reception through this covid pandemic and only had small numbers. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to give us a magical day more then what we could have dreamed of. We never once felt the place looked empty or small for our small numbers. It was intimate beautiful setting.

We are so delighted we chose the Listowel Arms as our wedding venue. The whole process was made so easy from the very beginning by the amazing co-ordinator Patrice. On the day itself, the staff, the food and the atmosphere were all absolutely fantastic. Patrice manages to tailor your day to exactly how you want it but at the same time makes it seem like it's no trouble at all and is genuinely happy to be on the journey with you. Highly recommend this venue whatever size wedding you are having, a fantastic venue in a great town.

From the first day of going to the hotel we were sold! The building in itself has such a unique charm and Patrice and her team take it to the next level.
We were caught in the very severest of restrictions for our wedding in February 2021 and were not able to proceed with our original plan. We were determined to still get married and were so grateful to Patrice and all the staff for opening specially for us on the day. They really went above and beyond what was required and made our ceremony and small gathering afterwards so special. Can't wait to be back soon to complete our Celebration with our family and friends.

From start to finish,Patrice and the listowel arms were incredible.Everything we wanted for our day was no problem for them. The attention to detail was out of this world and Patrice knew what vibe and style we liked and made it our own.our guests spent 3 or 4 nights in listowel and ballybunion over the weekend and could not praise the hotel, food and service enough. If I was to do it again I wouldn't change a thing.

From the time we booked our wedding with them Patrice and everyone at the Listowel Arms Hotel were so helpful. On the day the service they provided was excellent, the food was amazing and overall we were delighted.

Patrice couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating in creating our perfect day. She is a true professional and a pleasure to deal with. The venue itself was beautiful and everything we wanted.
