Moyvalley Hotel & Balyna House

Amazing day in an amazing venue! We were delighted that we choose Balyna House in Moyvalley Hotel for our wedding. From the first time we meet Ciara she could not have been more helpful and thought of things we never would have ourselves. The Stonehouse was the perfect venue for our ceremony. It is intimate without being small, and as a result it really felt like our guests were part of the ceremony. Balyna House is beautiful and felt like our home for the day. Our family loved their bedrooms, which are spacious and comfortable. There was lots of space in the house for guests to relax in throughout the day, and the grounds are perfect on a sunny day. Our guests commented on how relaxed the whole day was, but that was down to the professionalism of Ciara and all the team, who made sure we didn't have to worry about anything. The food was superb - fresh, tasty and cooked beautifully. We stayed in the bridal cottage the night before, which was the perfect place to get ready in on the morning of our wedding, with lots of space for hair and makeup. Breakfast was even delivered so there was no pressure on us on the morning. The hotel provides all the accommodation guests could need, which means that everything you need is on site. We could not recommend Moyvalley Hotel highly enough for a wedding.

What an amazing day we had. More than we could have ever hoped for. Niamh our wedding co-ordinator was a dream to deal with. Helpfull the whole way along. Very quick to respond to any queries, extremely flexible and went above and beyond on the day to ensure everything went smoothly. We have had nothing but positive feedback from family and friends commenting on the beauty of the venue and how delicious the food was. The wait staff were soo lovely throughout the day right down to the bar man in the cellar bar that night. Soo accommodating and helpful. Thank you all for giving us the best day, we'd love nothing more than to do it all again!!

We had our wedding in Moyvalley in August of this year. I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone there for such a wonderful day, especially Ciara, our wedding co-ordinator. Everything from the food to the rooms to the set up was done exactly as we wanted and we had the best day. The hotel and grounds are stunning and the staff were amazing, always helpful and friendly.

When viewing Moyvalley for our potential wedding venue we fell in love. The grounds, the stone house and most importantly the Balyna house. Its beautiful. We had two amazing wedding coordinators Ciara and Niamh. They have always been very helpful from the start. Answering any questions and giving there own suggestions. Couldnt recommend them enough! On the big day everything felt so relaxed and ran smoothly. We could not praise the staff enough. Everyone was very helpful and attentive throughout the whole day and the day two. We would like to say a huge thank you to Brendan who was the manger in charge for our two days there. He was extremely helpful, always running around to make sure everything was going to plan. Anything we wanted or needed he made sure we had. He made both days run incredibly well. The amount of things he did without us even knowing. I couldn't find my bouquet the next morning and he without me knowing stored it away for me In the fridge to keep it fresh for me to take home. If you have Brendan on your day you don't need to worry about a thing! Another thing we loved was that everyone of our guests could stay onsite with us. They have a hotel, cottages and of course the Balyna house. Even with all the accommodation the Balyna house still felt private and hidden away. The grounds at night are beautiful. We couldn't recommend Moyvalley enough. Our day turned out better then we ever expected. We cannot wait to look back at all our beautiful photos of such a magical day. Gary and I got married in Moyvalley on 01/07/22. We had our ceremony in the stone house and reception in Balyna House. We wanted a venue that had everything on site but that was also separate to the hotel. We viewed a few venues that offered this style and unfortunately the prices were way over our budget. We reached out to Moyvalley back in 2019 and fell in love with the place. I couldn't believe how much cheaper it was than those other venues because it isn't a bit clear to see where any costs have been cut to achieve it. We dealt with Ciara Dowling along the way and what a gem she is!!! Her communication and organisation skills are second to none, honestly. She is personable and more importantly, she get its it. She gets how important the day is to not only the bride and groom but to everyone involved. I brought a whole host of stuff with me such as bathroom baskets, a guestbook, polaroid station sweet table, individual limericks for everyone at the table and Ciara said "leave those with me and I'll put everything out for you". This had me nervous because I had it in my mind how everything should look and she pulled it out of the bag! The place looked amazing, I was so happy. Next day we got up and everything we had brought was packed and waiting for us at the bottom of the stairs, all we had to do was put in the car! I could have done a shorter review but it wouldn't have done Ciara and the team any justice. Thank you so much for making our day so special and for keeping everything running as smoothly as you did.

Moyvalley is a gorgeous venue, we had our ceremony there (in the Stone House) and reception in Balyna House. We had so many positive comments from our guests. The staff were great, especially our wedding coordinator Ciara who we dealt with from the initial viewing to the wedding day itself. Always friendly and responsive to questions, which made the whole process very smooth. Food was excellent too, all in all a great experience.

I could not fault Moyvalley from the day we went to see the venue (even if it was during Covid) right up until we checked out the day after our wedding. Ciara, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day and that everything ran smoothly. The food and staff were exceptional. Even 2 months after the big day, our guests are still talking about them.

From start to finish, the day was just perfect, I couldn't have ask for more.

We cannot recommend Moyvalley enough. We got engaged at the beginning of the first COVID19 lockdown, The hotel was closed due to restrictions, however when we walked around the grounds of Balyna House we knew this was the venue for us and we arranged an appointment to meet the wedding coordinators (the two Orlas) and we booked. Shortly after we were in contact with Ciara, a New addition to the team. Ciara was amazing the whole way through our planning process. Always on hand to answer my silly questions. For our menu tasting, we were so impressed with the food and the staff. Catherine served us for this and she made us feel so at home. We knew we made the right choice of venue. On the day of our wedding, as our car pulled up outside Balyna House we were greeted by Andrew & Ciara, who were on hand throughout the day. Our guests were so impressed with the venue and the food. We cannot fault the staff, especially Claudia who took care of us at the top table and Daniel & Ross in the Residents bar. They were brilliant. The next day we went over to the main hotel for breakfast, where we were greeted by Catherine who knew who we were the minute we walked through the door and made us feel so special. A big thank you to the team in Moyvalley, most of all Ciara who made our day so special. We cannot wait to go back for our Anniversary.

We had our drinks reception in Balyna house followed by the evening reception in the main hotel. We could not fault Moyvalley in any way. The staff were a pleasure to deal with and so helpful on the run up to the day and on the day itself. The food was impeccable! We could not recommend Moyvalley enough!!

Absolutely fantastic wedding venue. We loved the idea of having ballyna house to ourselves and the guests felt very comfortable throughout the day. The staff on the day were also excellent and catered to everything we asked for to a very high standard. Food was absolutely incredible and we received many compliments from the guests. Our wedding co-ordinator Ciara was also fantastic, she couldn't do enough for us and really made the day come together as we always dreamed of. We couldn't recommend the venue enough.

We could not fault any part of the lead up to our Wedding Day or on the day itself. Everything was perfect. Emails were responded to very swiftly and Niamh our coordinator could not do enough for us. On the day the manager was excellent, asked were we happy with everything on numerous occasions. We had our speeches and drinks reception in Balyna House before moving over to the hotel for dinner. Doing this is Balyna house was perfect if you're looking for a something a little different and chilled. Would 100% recommend Moyvalley Hotel and Balyna House for a Wedding.

We would like to thank the staff of Moyvalley Hotel and Gold Resort for their personal and professional service that they provided to us for our wedding this year. We fell in love with the place at first sight, then upon meeting the staff and seeing the packages we knew it was the perfect venue for us. Having various venues within the one complex made Moyvalley the ideal location to celebrate our wedding day. We had our ceremony and drinks reception in Balyna House, then the hotel for the reception. We had our Day 2 celebration in Balyna House too. The staff were so friendly and all of our guests commented on this. From the first day we went to Moyvalley and met Simon he was a knowledgeable and approachable person really put us at ease. Ciara, our wedding coordinator, was incredible. She was able to answer all the questions we had during our planning, was so professional and was eager to make our day the best day possible. She made us feel so special and looked after. Brendan, the manager that was on duty for the weekend for our wedding was amazing. Nothing was a problem, everything was looked after. He was enthusiastic and so helpful - even at the end of long days (and nights). We were amazed at the value of their packages and the quality of their suppliers - from food and drinks to the floral arrangements. Everything was beautiful. The hotel rooms and facilities are of a very high standard, in Balyna House and the hotel itself. We would highly recommend Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort as a wedding venue for any couples working on the wedding planning journey. I cannot speak highly enough of Niamh and everyone else at Moyvalley. They were also so responsive and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem. We had our full day in Balyna house which was just a dream come through. The house is really beautiful and the food, service and staff were all so lovely. Very grateful, thank you!

From the moment I was in contact with Moyvalley, I knew this venue would be our wedding venue. I was initially dealing with Orla and when she left the business, we were handed over to Ciara and both ladies couldn't do more for us. The whole planning process was so enjoyable with the team and although we had no major requests, no request was too much. I really felt we were treated like royalty in the run up to our wedding and on our wedding. Every request was met and our whole wedding party were so well looked after. I know a bride that recently got married in a venue that won wedding of the year, and they were not half treated the way we were in Moyvalley. The team are so lovely and across the 3 days, they got to know all our guests by name and it really felt that we were all in one resort on a massive holiday, (we got very lucky with the weather also). Ciara is so lovely and popped into me the night before the wedding to check I was ok and assured me everything was looked after. The venue was perfect, it was spotlessly clean and everyone just had the best time. We got married in the Stone House which was beautifully decorated by Elderwoods Decor and we had stunning flowers included in our package with Moyvalley, I was so taken aback at how stunning they were & they ensured to ask what colours I liked to keep in line with our theme. There was one small hiccup in our late bar however the staff assisted the next day and it was all forgotten about. The bar staff were absolutely fantastic on our second day in Balyna House, we had a BBQ booked for our guests and we were genuinely shocked with how amazing the food was. My family told me they were never at a wedding where they felt so well looked after, there was always food, none of this awkward standing around waiting to be fed and the food was amazing. If the setting of this venue isn't enough to make you want to book it for your day, the staff will. I cannot speak highly enough of this venue, it was so perfect. Thank you to the staff for making our day what it was, you guys are a credit.

We had our wedding ceremony in the Stone House and the reception in Balyna House. Everything was absolutely perfect. I can't recommended Moyvalley as a wedding venue enough. All the staff were fantastic to us but a special mention to Niamh Reilly who helped us out so much with everything and was so flexible with us even when we had some late drop outs due to covid. We would like to thank Niamh and all the staff at Moyvalley Hotel and Balyna House for such a wonderful day and experience.

We got married in December 2021. The service at Moyvalley was amazing. They were so flexible and supportive throughout the wedding planning process. I would highly recommend the hotel. Balyna house is simply stunning. The venue, the staff, the grounds, the service are all exceptional. We had a fantastic day and so did our guests.

From start to finish the staff in Moyvalley was amazing! We were dealing with Niamh and nothing was an issue! We stayed for 3 days, we got ready the morning of and I would highly recommend it, myself and my bridal party stayed in one of the lovely cottages the night before, it was so easy for hair and makeup to come as there is plenty of space! The night of our wedding we stayed in the Balyna house which is beautiful we also had our drinks reception there! We had our reception in the hotel, it meant our guests got to see every aspect Moyvalley has to offer! I would highly recommend Moyvalley as a wedding venue! Thank you to all the staff at Moyvalley

Niamh and Ciara were so helpful and understanding with all my requests and worries. They were always at the end of the phone or available to answer an email. The girls work so hard to ensure your day is perfect and runs smoothly. I loved the venue and the package with Moyvalley. They were flexible and accomodating in comparison to other venues we had visited. We got so many compliments and comments from our guests on the venue and on the Ballyna House. It was such a magical day, made that much sweeter having had such great staff to work with. Thanks so much to all the team and especially Ciara & Niamh.

The staff were absolutely amazing, from our pre wedding meetings, right up until our day, we couldn't of been more pleased with everything on our day. The food was amazing, all of our guests mentioned it on and after our day. Balyna house was exceptional, we had our reception drinks here and it was just beautiful, the grounds outside were amazing for our pictures also. Cannot fault anything on our day and would definitely recommend it to couples

I'm so glad we picked Moyvalley Hotel for our recent wedding. Throughout the pandemic they had wonderful communication and were very easy to deal with. Niamh allowed us to personalise our day as much as we wanted and was very flexible and easy going about changing things. I got ready in the bridal cottage, the morning was lovely and relaxed, the hotel brought over a huge breakfast and cleared up afterwards, very easy! Balyna House was beautiful, our guests loved it. We got beautiful pictures in the old house and out on the grounds. Dinner was lovely, loads of food, staff were plentiful. The cellar bar was great, the perfect spot for a session after the band. We loved moyvalley and would highly recommend it.

Unfortunately the wedding didn't happen yet as we had to postpone it till next year. But so far Moyvalley has been very good to deal with the postponement and viewings etc. I will come back with a full review after we actually get married!

We fell in love with Balyna House from our first viewing and right from the get go the team was so friendly & professional. Covid meant there where a lot of changes/ contingency plans as guidance on numbers/ bands etc changed a number of times but the Team @ Moyvalley where super flexible and reassured us the whole was through and made adjustments to our booking without any pushback/challenge - they aligned to Government guidelines and didn't penalise us in any way. Our wedding coordinator did change a couple of times (as we booked over a year in advance) but the last few months in the run up to our big day Niamh Reilly was our main point of contact and we where in very safe hands- any feedback/ suggestions or requests that we had where never any trouble and the day went off without a hitch. The Hotel & Balyna House is stunning, staff where top class/ very professional, we also booked Phil Hayes the inhouse florist and she did a fantastic job on both our outside ceremony space and rooms/ centrepieces inside the main house. The whole team on the day (and breakfast the day after!) where all so friendly, the food was amazing and plentiful - we got lots of great feedback from all our guests. Overall it externally good value for money ; ) we would highly recced this to any couples looking for a great venue, fab food and 5 start service ;)

We had our wedding in Balyna House and just have to say it was truly amazing, the staff who could not do enough and to the amazing Niamh our wedding coordinator who coordinated everything to perfection. The food was 5 star and everyone of our guests complimented the food and the venue. They really made our day truly magical. What a wonderful venue we can't recommend it enough.

Balyna House in Moyvalley was a beautiful location for our wedding reception, and the Stonehouse was perfect for our ceremony, and our guests could stay at the hotel, so we could have everything in the one location which was brilliant. We couldn't have asked more from all the staff, so responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend!

We booked Moyvalley as our wedding venue back in july 2018 and from the minute we walked into Balyna house, we just knew that it would be the perfect place for us and our day. The grounds are stunning and the entire team are extremely professional and responsive. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic wasn't easy but both Orla Flanagan and Orla Beegan helped to take the stress away. After moving our date a few times we decided to brush ahead and have our wedding on the 7th November, in the height of lockdown with just 6 weeks to plan and organise it all. We couldn't have done it without the help of both coordinators. Our day ran so smoothly and Balyna house was the most perfect venue for a small wedding. All of our guests mentioned that the day felt so normal with a good atmosphere and that is definately down to how the team at Moyvalley handled everything in a very pragmatic way. They went above and beyond for us. Everything was perfect on the day; the food, the entertainment, the bar staff, the value. We couldn't recommend this venue any more than we do and we cannot wait to return in the future.

What can I say about Moyvalley. From the minute we visited Moyvalley as a potential wedding venue we fell in love with Balyna House, the grounds and the friendly atmosphere created by the professional staff. When we booked it for our wedding, Orla and the staff were amazing to work with. We didn’t have the easiest time planning due to Covid but Orla and the staff made it stress free and were very reassuring whenever we were in contact. The wedding day itself went amazingly. Anything we requested was catered for, the staff couldn’t have treated us any better and all our guests commented on how excellent the service and food was. I would really recommend Moyvalley as a wedding venue, it is a stunning venue and the staff just make it. We feel very lucky that we picked Moyvalley as a venue because they played an absolute blinder during all the Covid madness and for the whole weekend of the wedding.

Cannot recommend Moyvalley hotel and golf resort enough for a wedding! Our wedding co-ordinator Orla Beegan was a pleasure to deal with and had our best interests at heart during all the planning and preparation in the lead up to our special day! There was so much uncertainty in the last few months and in particular the last couple of weeks and days leading up to the wedding. The staff at this venue were all so accommodating and it was clear that they would do absolutely anything to help us have the day we so desperately wanted. I have read horror stories the last number of weeks of different hotels and how bride and grooms to be are being treated and we feel so lucky and blessed that we chose to have our wedding at Moyvalley. All the staff on duty from the moment we arrived to the moment we left were amazing, happy, helpful and good fun! Cian was a pleasure to have around overseeing everything in Balyna house and everyone is still talking about Ryan the bar man! We will absolutely be recommending this hotel to others who are planning a wedding. We cannot wait to go back on our anniversary!!

I couldn't recommend Moy Valley enough. Both orlas who were our wedding planners were amazing. Great to deal with pre wedding. Nothing was as issue. The staff were amazing. There was so many of them on the day of the wedding serving. All our guests mentioned this, very attentive. The food was 100%. And extra bits were no problem to the staff. We had our wedding reception in Balyna House and it was bloody great. Theres a lot of planning that goes into the day and the two Orlas and Niamh were just exellent in helping it be an easy process in the months building up to the day. They also gave brilliant advise on our food choices for the meal which was seriously appreciated. The house itself is just a class location and you get a hell of a lot of bang for your buck. We were taken aback when we arrived after the ceremony at how class, warm and welcoming the venue was even after we had visited to view during the buildup. With it being a chriustmas wedding the decorations just added more to it all also. Basically, if you are looking for a manor house type wedding all in one location where all your guests can stay onsite at a brilliant price with absolutely incredible staff...then this is the place for you. If you plan to be real specific with your needs also...just ask the question to one of the two Orlas or Niamh and they will get it sorted easy. Happy days...enjoy

We had our wedding in Moyvalley in November 2019 and cant say enough about the place. Despite neither of us living anywhere close to it we just fell in love with it the moment we first saw it. Balyna house is the gorgeous romantic country house on the grounds of moyvalley and as our numbers were relatively small (85) we had our drinks reception, dinner and dancing there. All our guests commented on how beautiful the place was. The grounds were perfect for photos and we had loads taken inside the house too. Couldn't ask for better coordinators than the 2 Orlas, prompt in replies, helpful and flexible-made planning the wedding so less stressful especially given the fact we moved abroad 3months before the wedding. On the day all the staff were so good to us and our guests. Loads of accommodation options for guests too including the house, hotel and cottages on site. Chef was amazing,goats cheese and carmelised pear tart for starters was so yum as were our lamb and seabass mains-cant wait to return next time we are in Ireland. Would definitely recommend!

We got married in November 2019 and we had our reception and day two in Balyna house. From start to finish the staff were incredible and really made our whole weekend so special. All of our guests commented on how amazing all the staff were, from breakfast to bar staff and most of our guests stayed for 3 days and the level of service was consistently 5 star. Andrew and the two Orlaghs couldn't do enough for us also and without their expertise I doubt everything could have ran so smoothly. Any concern we had was managed straight away and we were made feel as though our wedding was as important to them as it was to us. The grounds and house itself is beautiful and I couldn't recommend taking a look more to really appreciate it. We had 70 guests and balyna house was perfectly sized for us. We have visited several times for food in the past and it has always been great and our wedding was no exception. Even though we had several dietary requirements for our guests nothing was ever too much trouble. Bottom line if you are considering Moyvalley & Balyna House for your wedding, just book it. You will NOT be disappointed! The staff are second to none and the surroundings are stunningly picturesque, and with the two 0rlas and Andrew you are in incredibly safe and experienced hands. Thanks to all at moyvalley who made our day so special!

Orla and Orla were excellent wedding coordinators. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were extremely responsive on emails,replying to any little question we had. They both made sure that we had an exceptional wedding day and didnt have to worry about anything. All of our guests raved about the food, the venue and the staff at Moyvalley. We couldnt have been happier with our whole experience. Thank you to everyone at Moyvalley who went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect.

I would highly recommend Moyvalley Hotel & Balyna House. We had our drinks reception in Balyna House & our meal and dancing in the main hotel. Moyvalley would suit a couple that wants something a little different than a regular hotel yet still has the space to accommodate a larger wedding, with plenty of accommodation on site. The accommodation was very reasonably priced which I think is an important factor when choosing a venue. The grounds were beautiful for photos and Balyna House was such a beautiful back drop for our drinks reception. The staff were so helpful both on the day and in the lead up to the wedding - several of our guests commented on this. The hotel has a real family run feel. Our food was beautiful and plentiful - the service was excellent with no delays. Orla, our co - ordinator, was nothing short of fabulous. She is experienced, competent and an all round lovely person. I would highly recommend Moyvalley.

We recently had our wedding in moyvalley ! It was absolutely the best day of our lives ! We had our reception in Balyna house which was stunning ! The guests commented on the amount of food that was served at the reception and how good it tasted! Our dinner was in the main part of the hotel . The dinner itself was fantastic no complaints . Orla Flannagan and all the staff at Moyvalley we’re fantastic . Nothing was a problem . Even down to extra bread at 3am for tatyo sandwiches . We couldn’t not fault Moyvalley . They made organizing our wedding so enjoyable and easy ! I wish we could do it all again! X

There is a lot more expensive venues which we found would not have delivered or there were a few untidy bits which makes you think, for that price the wallpaper should not fall of the wall when attending viewings. We found the Balyna House the best Wedding Vennue on earth. Had the perfect day. Sunshine and all. What more do you want.

Service was brilliant! Every member of staff went out of their way to accommodate us and our guests. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was polite and friendly.

We got married in Moyvalley in September and it was an unbelievable experience and we could not fault it in any way, even down to having the red carpet perfectly centred in relation to where you take your vows in the stonehouse. The venue is like something out of a fairytale and Orla and the rest of her team are just exceptional. I would like to give a special mention to one of the bar staff named Dylan, he is one of the best barmen and servers that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was a pleasure to meet and was always there anticipating what the customers would need and reacting accordingly and he never left anyone else waiting in serving. All I can really say is Moyvalley is a perfect location for a wedding and Dylan is a perfect gentleman & barman if you really want to be made feel special.

We were absolutely delighted with how both our ceremony and reception went at Moyvalley. The wedding planners, the Orla’s, were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process and were on top of every detail. Our guests loved the venue and we were delighted with the food. We would also say a particular thank you to the waiting and bar staff who were extremely attentive and helpful throughout the day and night. It was a special day and we count ourselves lucky to have found such a perfect venue. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Moyvalley to anyone else.

would highly recommend moyvalley. the attention to detail was fantastic. we had ceremony in the stonehouse and reception in balyna house. it's different which is what we wanted, the country style house and with the hotel and cottages so close any guests who wanted to stay could so we weren't limited by that. Food and service on the day was great. we had so many compliments from guests on the venue. thanks for everything.

We got married in Moyvalley on the 27th of April this year. The wedding planners (Orlas) are amazing. From the moment we booked our wedding right up to us leaving the hotel after our wedding all staff were so friendly and helpful. From setting up everything to providing an overnight child minding service (my children were happy which made ush happy and at ease). Food and service (Stephaine) on the day was brilliant, and issues that arose were addressed immediately with no hassle. I would highly recommend Moyvalley to any couple, all guests raved about the surroundings & some played golf on the second day which was followed by a bbq and music in the clubhouse.

Moyvalley was an amazing venue for our wedding! We had our civil ceremony & drinks reception in Balyna House, dinner in the main hotel and the after party in the cellar bar of Balyna House. Everything about the hotel was amazing. The staff, food, rooms, venue, setting were fantastic. We want to say a hugh thank you to Orla Beegan, Orla Flanagan and all the staff who were so great with all the wedding planning and also on the day of the wedding. Our experience with Moyvalley and the staff was exceptional - from the moment we first visited (and shown around by Barry) to leaving the day after our wedding! The attention to detail and consistency was exemplary! Orla Flanagan and Orla Beegan, the wedding coordinators, made the planning process so easy and relaxed, I don't think I ever waited more than a day for a reply from them, and every question or request was met enthusiasm and always followed through on. Moyvalley provided us with 3 great locations to celebrate our wedding - the Stone House for our ceremony, Balyna House for our drinks reception and evening reception and the Royal Canal Suite in the main hotel for dinner. It's unique and perfect for what we wanted. Balyna House is beautiful, our guests loved it and it provided a gorgeous backdrop for photos! We wanted a manor style/country house vibe to celebrate in and Moyvalley had the main hotel and cottages for all of our guests to stay in so it ticked all of our boxes! The food was delicious and plentiful. We had a couple of guests who had special dietary requirements and they all commented how well they were catered to, from the canapes to the evening buffet - lots of options in plentiful supply. The staff were so courteous and every little request was anticipated and dealt with ASAP. The only regret we have is forgetting to thank them in the speeches - sorry guys!! I cannot recommend Moyvalley Hotel enough. From the moment we went to see hotel, we knew it was the place for us. From the beautiful Balyna House to the ample accommodation on offer for guests, it was perfect. We unexpectedly had to change the date of our wedding but the hotel were so accommodating and it was not a problem to move it to an alternative date. Orla Beegan and Orla Flanagan were amazing to deal with and nothing was ever a problem. Our guests still talk about the venue. It is truly a wonderful place and you won't be disappointed, I only wish we could do it all again.

The most magical winter Wedding . From the moment we drive up the avenue to when we were greeted in the Manor house was just beyond perfect. The venue is absolutely stunning. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of venue! Organizing a wedding in Ireland when you live in Australia can be stressful but Orla Flanagan and everyone at Moyvalley are experts at what they do. Balyna House is an exceptional backdrop for an incredible day (non weather dependant) and it’s great that guests have three choices of accommodation (hotel, cottages or Balyna House). We stayed for 4 nights and loved every minute, the food and service was great. Nothing was too much trouble and Orla and her team were very quick to get back to our emails and requests. Thanks a million Moyvalley for giving us exactly what we were hoping for, we wouldn’t change a thing.

We had the best day! Orla, Simon and all the team at Moyvalley were outstanding. The staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout the weekend. My husband stayed in one of the cottages the week before the wedding and everyone was so lovely. We had the full day in Blayna House which was amazing. Everyone commented on how personal the venue was and it was like having a wedding in your house. The food was amazing. Everything worked out perfectly and we could not have asked for more.

I cannot Recommend Orla and all the staff at Moyvalley enough. They really went above and beyond to make sure our day was more than perfect. All of our guests commented on the 5star service they received from every person that worked in the hotel. It was exceptional. We were honestly treated like we were the only couple to have ever got married there. This venue really is a hidden gem. You need to go and check it out.

We hand our wedding here in June, 2018. We availed of Balyna House for our afternoon - the receptions rooms and the garden was pefect for the sunny day outside music and drinks vibe we wanted. The weather and the service didn’t disappoint on the day. All parts of the afternoon went perfect. We used the hotel golf cart to access remote parts of the estate for some fantastic photo opportunities. We moved to the hotel for the dinner and dancing and all aspects went smoothly. The staff attended to everything perfectly and the coordinator was on hand to ensure this for the day. The evening went off flawlessly and we retired to the cellar bar for the late drink and this was brilliant and even had some crisps sandwiches on standby which went down very well with all the guests. In all. From the start of the planning we received excellent support and service from the two Orlas and their staff. Having both had our and having been a guest at a wedding here I wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend it to anyone who is on the fence. great location too for a wedding away from the hustle of Dublin but still accessiable.

We had our wedding v recently in Moyvalley over 2/3 days the bridal party and family arrived the night before the wedding. The team were so helpful and helped us so much in dressing the house and grounds the morning of wedding,this did not surprise us as from the moment we booked our wedding Orla and the team were fantastic We had our drinks reception in Balyna House it was fabulous the food was delicious and drinks flowed. The house was beautiful and kick started the day off.The Reception room in main hotel looked beautiful and everyone was complimentary about the food which there was plenty of. I cannot emphasise how good a venue Moyvalley is great service and the attention to detail. This makes such a difference as we did not need to worry about anything. Some of our guests who did not plan on staying the 2nd night booked in and enjoyed the BBQ that was served and this too was fabulous. Anything that we needed was done without a 2nd thought and most of the time was anticipated by the hotel staff.Everyone was so friendly and the guests were very complimentary about the food, staff and the venue itself. We would not hesitate in recommending Moyvalley a big thank you to Orla Flanagan Oral Beegan and everyone who looked after us and our guests. We had a day that will definitely be remembered for a long time.

We had our wedding at Balyna House last weekend, it was the most amazing day of our lives. We would love to be doing it all over again! Orla Beegan and all the team at Moyvalley were superb in every way possible. We held our wedding and celebrations over two wonderful nights in Moyvalley Hotel on the 14th of April 2018. We held our wonderful occasion in all three venues available in the hotel, with our ceremony in the beautiful intimate stone house, our drinks reception, family accommodation and second day in the spectacular Balyna House, and our main reception and guest accommodation in the hotel. Words can’t do justice to how much Moyvalley as a venue and their wonderful staff made this weekend the best of our lives. The smile still hasn’t left our faces, and never will. People make a place, and the people who work at Moyvalley made our wedding incredibly special for us. Friendly, obliging and very good at what they do - Orla Flanagan and her team and all of the staff at the hotel catered to our every need and made the day and whole weekend run smoothly. There was nothing that couldn’t be done for us and some of the things the hotel did for us such as providing a fridge and microwave to prepare and store our new-born’s bottles made us feel so special. The attention to detail and organisation meant all we had to do was sit back and relax and enjoy the day. When planning our wedding we knew we wanted two nights and felt that it would work best if the entire venue was self-contained for both nights so that our guests could relax and unwind at their leisure but not have to move too far from their accommodation. We wanted somewhere far enough from home in Dublin that it felt like we were getting away but not too far to travel. When we first entered the gates to the hotel and drove through the beautiful grounds, past the stunning Balyna house we knew we could be on to a winner. We were holding a humanist ceremony and wanted a separate venue for the ceremony from the hotel room where we would dine. We fell in love with the Stone House the minute we set foot there. During the ceremony this intimate, atmospheric room brought our guests together with us for our special day. We held our drinks reception, and second day BBQ in Balyna house. It is a classic grand country house, with a spectacular central staircase and chandeliers leading to the guest rooms. There is a warm bar with fireplace, reception room and another grand dining room looking out over the gardens. We took many of our photos inside Balyna house, the house was the perfect backdrop and it meant we were never too far from the party! We especially loved the basement bar for our wedding night residents bar. The bar staff were fantastic both nights, and the basket of tayto was a nice touch! We had our main reception, dinner and dancing in the hotel itself. The room was dressed beautifully, and laid out exactly as we had asked for. There is a wonderful choice of food available in Moyvalley, we chose to go with Beef and Seabass for our main courses. The food was very nice, well received by all, and the hotel were happy to cater for any dietary requirement. We had 120 people at our meal, the room was perfect for this size, it didn’t feel too big or too small, and there wasn’t much movement required for us to set up the band, DJ and dancefloor and dance the night away. Our guests were impressed with the hotel accommodation and the breakfast and food, all slept and ate well during the weekend. A special mention needs to go to the rooms in Balyna house. Our family and wedding party stayed here for the weekend. The rooms were absolutely amazing. We felt like royalty staying there. Overall, we cannot recommend Moyvalley hotel enough. We had the best weekend of our lives there, and cannot wait to come back on our year anniversary. Thanks once more to Orla and all of the staff at the hotel, you made the weekend special just for us. Moyvalley was amazing in every possible way. They could not have done enough for us and I also felt that they value for money. Unlike other venues they were not trying to charge you for every last item. We wanted a unique wedding where people felt comfortable and we certainly got that. Nothing was ever a problem for the hotel. All of the staff were absolutely lovely and seemed to really enjoy working there. The service they offered was second to none very professional very organised very flexible. The staff were so helpful and it was so nice to feel relaxed and know that all would be looked after and looked after so well. The facilities were great the food was fantastic and the staff very accomadating. The rooms and accommodation were brilliant. I would highly recommended the Hotel to any couple looking to get married.

Moyvalley Hotel & Balyna House is a fantastic venue in an amazing setting. In the build up to our day, Aisling and Orla were always available to deal with any queries which made the planning process stress free. Putting our trust in someone else was a big thing for us, due to our attention to detail however with Moyvalley we had nothing to worry about as all instructions were followed closely. On the big day itself, Aisling, Orla, Barry and Simon and all the staff at Moyvalley ensured that our day went by without any issues. All our guests really enjoyed the day and thought the food and service were excellent. Moyvalley and all the staff surpassed our expectations and we would highly recommend it as a wedding venue.

We had the most amazing day at Moyvalley.

Living in England, we shortlisted many hotel wedding venues to view over a weekend. We were very disappointed by many of the castles and manor houses where you could only use the lovely rooms on the website for a very small number of guests or for photos. On our last evening, a friend recommended visiting Moyvalley. Right from the drive up to the venue we were very impressed, rolling fields and beautiful scenery. We fell in love with the Stone house where we had our ceremony and Balyna house, where we had our drinks reception. These two parts of the venue- all within a very short walk from each other, are so incredibly beautiful and unique. They also require very little additional decorations as they are full of character. The food provided for the drinks reception was so plentiful, beautifully presented and delicious. Some of our guests felt too full for dinner- which is very unusual at weddings as the canapés are usefully snapped up by those near the door! The Royal Canal Suite, where we held our wedding breakfast, is a typically wedding function room. It is well set out with a lovely view of the stone cottage courtyard- great for cake cutting photos! The meal was lovely (guests really raved about it). The bar is also in the room, so you don't lose half of your guests to bar chatting! There was also plenty of room for the photo booth. Evening food and the cake were put on the gusts table which was brilliant a idea as it was all eaten. Another huge selling point of this venue, along with its lovely grounds, great staff, three venues in one and great food, is the hotel itself. When we were looking for hotels in August, an overarching theme at many of those we viewed was just how busy and chaotic they felt as people had gone there for spa breaks. Moyvalley didn't have these guests as it doesn't have a spa- but it doesn't need it. We basically had the whole hotel for the weekend, alongside with some golfers! Which made the weekend even better and more intimate. It always feels very calm. The accommodation is lovely, especially the Stone cottages (perfect for bridal preparations) and the rooms in Balyna House ( amazing bridal Suite). The after hours cellar bar is one of the most beautiful bars, stunning. Overall, Moyvalley is a total gem and very reasonably priced. Orla and Barry can make your dreams come true. Our guests loved it too.

We got married here on July 8th and from start to finish we had the most amazing experience! We were so lucky to have Orla as our co-ordinator. Orla is an absolute asset to Moyvalley. She made everything so easy and enjoyable in the build up to the big day and on the day itself. We got married in the Stone House and had our reception in Balyna House. I could write a full essay but I already did for evoke.ie!!! Everything from the moment we stepped into Balyna House, to the moment we met Orla, Lynn and Aisling (the wedding team), right up until the day itself, was literally a breeze. The guys there were legends, making everything so easy, and so friendly too!! You felt like you knew them all your life really! As a groom doing the majority of organising, it was great craic! The professionalism they display there cannot be beaten, the food was gorgeous, the setting was so personal and private, the dancefloor was full and we knew it was a success when we got thank you cards before we sent out our own! People commented - genuinely - at length about the venue, with several now booking it for 50th birthdays etc. Honestly, if you had told us 12 months before that that is how our day would turn out in Balyna House - carefree, hassle-free, beautiful surroundings, etc - we would have taken your hand off for it!!

We had our wedding reception here in December 2016 and had an extremely positive experience. The staff in the hotel were very helpful, professional and made all our requests possible. Our guests were very impressed by the standard of the food and accommodation. The grounds and Balyna house made for a beautiful backdrop for photographs. Overall we had an amazing experience at Moyvalley; the wedding co-ordinators were very responsive to dealing with all our email queries prior to the wedding and nothing seemed to be a hassle. We had our wedding ceremony in the Stone House and reception in Balyna House; both beautiful venues and provided plenty of fantastic photos. We also held a 2nd night party at Balyna house; the cellar bar was definitely a hit with out guests! As we are based overseas, we liked the idea of holding all events in one venue and this was appreciated by our guests. It was fantastic to have all our guests on-site; the cottages are lovely and Balyna House is simply stunning. We had access to both the ceremony and reception rooms the day before so had plenty of time to set it up as we wished. On the day itself, Orla and Aisling were calm and patient with last minute requests/issues and Barry was fantastic at overseeing the evening part. In fact, all the staff were amazing especially the bar staff who kept us entertained during our time at the venue.

Balyna House provided a unique and quaint backdrop for our humanist wedding. Moyvalley Hotel, which is a short walk through a courtyard provided the space for our traditional reception and accommodation for all guests. It was a stress-free experience working with the staff at Moyvalley to organise our wedding.

Stunning setting, excellent range of beautifully decorated rooms for guests, delicious food, genuine staff who couldn't possibly do more to help make our wedding weekend the unforgettable experience that it was.

It’s hard to put in to words how fantastic Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort is as a wedding venue and how great the staff are, but I will try to capture it in this review the best I can. We had a lot of guests coming from the UK so needed a venue not too far from Dublin Airport with lots of accommodation options available. From the very first viewing we fell in love with Balyna House and knew in particular due to the accommodation options it was going to be our wedding venue. We had about 90 guests and held our wedding ceremony in Stone House and wedding reception in Balyna House in October 2016. Orla, Simon, Barry and Sara went above and beyond to cater to all our needs as well as our guests. When I met or spoke to them I felt so reassured, I never worried and they always offered suggestions and advice if required. They are a first-class professional team. Between the Hotel, Balyna House and cottages it catered to our accommodation needs, nothing was ever a problem for the staff to provide. We ended up having a two-day wedding between in Balyna House and from start to finish the staff, service, food just everything was outstanding. Ann in the restaurant in particular, was wonderful to deal with. Our guests are still raving about the venue as well and the food and accommodation. I would strongly recommend using Sheefin Florists for all wedding flowers as well as decoration of Balyna House – superb service from Aoife and her team – the florist had been recommended by Moyvalley. Also, if you want a Harpist for the drinks reception or ceremony, Ann Tuite. Orla who is the Wedding & Event Coordinator, is exceptional in her role and as I mentioned above, makes sure everything is running smoothly in the background on the day. I highly recommend this venue. If Balyna House is available for the 2 days make sure you have a BBQ on the 2nd day, regardless of the time of year, it gives you that extra time with your guests to reminisce on the events of the day before and as you have full use of the house, you have your own bar for the night – so it’s a cosy relaxing night in too. Anyone looking for a wedding venue look no further! It truly was an outstanding wedding weekend that none of us will ever forget. We had our wedding reception at Moyvalley Hotel and Balyna House Hotel and we couldn't rate the hotel, our wedding coordinator Orla and all the staff enough. Orla was always so friendly, helpful and professional. We feel she went above and beyond to make sure our day was going to run smoothly! On the day we felt so special, the venue looked fantastic, food was beautiful and all the staff were so helpful and polite to us and all our guests. Everyone commented on the food and the gorgeous venue...the brekkie the next morning also went down a treat! We have since been back to celebrate my Nanny's 80th! I would definitely recommend Moyvalley to any future brides.

We got married in October in the hotel. Our ceremony was in the stone house it was done for our wedding by the hotel. It was beautifully done. Our drinks reception was in the balyna house which is beautiful lovely for weddings for under a 100 guest. We had to have our reception in the main hotel because our numbers went to 130 I was abit worried about the size of the ballroom but with some drapes it was perfect. Orla our wedding planner mad the whole experience so easy for us a lovely lady who went above and beyond for our perfect day. Would love to be doing it all again The place was spotless and food was beautiful. Great venue and great staff.

Our wedding planner Orla was great, she was always working away in the background making sure our day went smoothly. The wedding reception in Balyna House was lovely, and using the cottages for accomodation made it a memorable and comfortable stay for everyone.

I couldn't rate Lynn and her team any higher for their customer service. From the day we went to view Moyvalleys Balyna house we knew it was going to be the perfect wedding venue for us. We had only 5 weeks notice from the date we viewed it to the wedding day and they told us it was not a problem and it really wasn't. Everything was perfect on the day, they could not of done anymore for us or our guests and went above any beyond many times! I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a personal experience, in a beautiful, quiet setting. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our guests were all very complimentary on the venue and the staff too. We rate it 10 out of 10 and cannot wait to come back, hopefully on our anniversary later this year!

Balyna House was the only venue that we visited. As soon as we seen it we knew it was perfect for our wedding. The fact that you have the whole house to yourself with the bedrooms and the cellar bar felt so so special. We had a lot of guests from England and across the world and all commented on how amazing the venue was. Orla - our wedding co-ordinator was totally amazing, from the first visit until the day of the wedding. Her professionalism, kindness and spirit really made us so happy and supported and she will always hold a special place in our hearts. The food on the day of the wedding was outstanding, (I highly recommend the Rabbit Pate to any pate lovers out there) The staff on the day were just brilliant and everyone that works there really does care and go out of their way to help. One of the staff even took my grooms shirt home to be ironed as she said she didnt trust the hotels iron! Where would you get customer service like that?! Our wedding day really was the happiest day of our lives and a lot of it was down to Balyna House & Moyvalley being the most amazing place to get married. All our requests or special needs were dealt with promptly. The venue was fantastic, the service was excellent and we cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for us. We highly recommend Balyna as a wedding venue.

Had my wedding in Moyvalley on the 17th June 2016. I had my ceremony in Balyna House and reception in the hotel. Can't fault the hotel on anything, They were so helpful in every way, Lynn who was my wedding coordinator was on hand all day and Derek who is the hotel manager was there all day as well. I honestly can say i have no complaints to make and would highly recommend this venue.

Excellent value for money. We had our wedding in Balyna house which was perfect for our wedding which had around 75 guests. The privacy of the house was exactly what we were looking for in a venue. Everything on the day went as planned and the staff were great. Overall the day couldn't have gone better.

The venue was lovely. We were lucky to have the stunning Balyna house available to us aswell for photographs on the day. Service provided from the moment we enquired about availability for the wedding til the day itself was very good. I'd recommend Moyvalley Hotel/ Balyna House as a wedding venue without hesitation!

Our experience across the full Moyvalley team was extremely professional and helpful from the get-go. Orla (our coordinator) and all other members of the hotel team ensured that the entire planning process was enjoyable and relaxed throughout (even in the midst of Storm Desmond arriving the night before the wedding ????). We used the Stone House for our ceremony, which was beautiful and intimate, and Balyna House for the rest of our day. We could not recommend it enough as a wedding venue.

We only booked our wedding with less than 6mths planning. We looked at so many venues but only Baylna House ticked all our boxes. From the initial meeting, dealing with the staff was of high, professional standard. The wedding co-ordinator Lynn would take our calls and reply to emails promptly. We had our ceremony in the stone house and reception in Balyna house. The setting was amazing and like another world. We stayed in the cottages the night before of and after. The staff couldn't do enough for us and our guests. On the wedding day itself everything went smoothly even though I was 45minutes late walking down the aisle. The food was so tasty and plenty of it. Service was so fast. Usually at weddings the top table are finished eating when other tables are only getting their food but there was enough staff to serve all tables nearly at once. We received a fabulous gift from the hotel when leaving which was a lovely touch. We know where we will be staying for our future anniversaries.Thank you Moyvalley for making our special day so memorable and perfect. We wish we could do it all again.

I had my Wedding on the grounds of Moyvalley Hotel and Golf resort in September and I cannot rate my experience high enough. We had our ceremony in the Stone House and it was so beautifully decorated that it was a magical experience walking up the aisle. The reception was held in Balyna House and I could not have asked for a beautiful venue to share with my family on my special day. The meal was fabulous, my guest were very impressed. It was beautifully presented and hot, which in my experience is a rare compliment. So a big thank you to the chefs and waiters and waitresses on the day. You are the hidden gems in the hospitality industry. A special thanks to Barry, he kept a very cool head on the day when the little things went wrong! And lastly a huge thanks to Orla, the Wedding and Events Coordinator. From the start she was just as excited for my Wedding as myself and my now hubby were. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for us to make the day as special as it was. There was nothing I had to do but turn up, get beautified, get married and have fun. Orla and her amazing Team did the rest. I cannot recommed Moyvalley Hotel enough to other Brides-to-be. So if you are reading this and think of having your wedding there, go check it out you will fall in love with it instantly. Great hotel. Beautiful surroundings. Our wedding planner Lana is since gone but she was fantastic along with many other staff especially the staff that have kept Moyvalley open for so long. Great experience.
